Former IAS officer who called India a “Rapistan” is now “inspired by Imran Khan and Arvind Kejriwal”

0

On January 9, Indian Administrative Officer from Jammu and Kashmir cadre, Shah Faesal had tendered his resignation citing the alarming rise of “Hindutva” forces and “unabated” killings of Muslims in Kashmir and India. Now, the Former IAS officer has expressed his penchant for the Prime Minister Of Pakistan Imran Khan and Delhi Cheif Miniter Arvind Kejriwal. He said:

“I am truly inspired by Imran Khan and Kejriwal. But, we are operating in a conflict zone and it is not very easy to work in that space. Space has lost its legitimacy in the last few years”

It is not the first time that Shah Faesal has expressed his admiration for the Pakistani PM. Last year, after Imran Khan was voted to power in Pakistan, Shah Faesal had blamed India of being sceptic about the “reconciliation” efforts undertaken by new PM.

He also faced a Departmental Enquiry last year, after he had labelled India a ‘Rapistan’. J&K administrative department had found his remarks defaming the image of the country and had alleged that he failed to maintain decorum and acted in a manner, unbecoming of an IAS officer. He later had brazenly mocked the enquiry and the letter sent by the department.

The former IAS was speculated to join politics, after Former CM of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah welcomed him after his resignation. However, Faesal has said that he will contest upcoming elections, but would not join any mainstream political party. He added that his future course of action will be ascertained by the people of Kashmir.

Congress party peddles lies in their press conference on Alok Verma

Congress today convened a presser to express their disapproval on the removal of Alok Verma from the post of CBI director. Senior Congress leader Dr AM Singhvi claimed that Verma’s ouster was politically motivated and it was done to preclude Verma from disclosing the incriminating evidence that would expose the corruption in the Rafale deal.

Dr AM Singhvi listed out the reasons why the Congress party thinks the act of removing Alok Verma was a desperate bid by the government to save itself from the ignominy of the Rafale scam. All the claims made by the Congress leader were lies, like what Rahul Gandhi has been doing all along. Let us systematically examine a few points expounded by Dr AM Singhvi and see if they hold water.

CVC has no locus standi in the appointment or removal of the CBI chief:-

Stating Congress’ stand on Verma’s removal, Dr AM Singhvi claimed that CVC has no authority to appoint or depose CBI chief. But what Mr Singhvi doesn’t seem to realise is that CVC merely presented its findings to the High Powered Committee chaired by Prime Minister Modi, also comprising opposition leader Mallikarjun Kharge and Supreme Court judge Sikri who was representing the CJI Ranjan Gogoi. The order to transfer Verma was taken by this committee and not by the CVC. While reinstating Verma, the Supreme Court had said that only the high powered committee that selects the CBI Director can transfer or remove him, and accordingly the committee made the decision to transfer Verma. Pinning the blame on CVC and besmirching the reputation of an institution, Congress is simply trying to mislead the nation.

6 out of the 10 allegations made by CVC are considered unsubstantiated by CVC itself:-

CVC’s task was to carry out investigations on the case levelled against former CBI chief Alok Verma. It was not conferred with the power to pass the judgment. Based on their findings, a High Powered Committee which comprised of PM Modi, CJI Gogoi’s representative Justice Sikri and the opposition leader Mr Kharge, arrived at a conclusion they deemed appropriate of removing Verma from the position. By alleging that 6 out of the 10 allegations were unsubstantiated, Congress pasrty itself is agreeing that 4 charges are substantiated. Commenting on the CVC report, CJI Ranjan Gogoi had said while some findings were favourable for Verma, some others were not, while others needed a further probe.

It is also noteworthy to mention that until a few days back Congress had placed full faith in CVC’s integrity when it sought a CVC probe into Rafale allegations.

The final report made by the CVC observed grave allegations of serious nature against Alok Verma and called into question his integrity. The detailed observation report of CVC’s findings can be read here. The report incriminates Alok Verma for serious offences and not ‘unsubtantiated’ claims. In fact, there were also reports that the CBI was all set to file a corruption case against Alok Verma.

Rakesh Asthana was the reason behind Alok Verma’s removal:-

Another outrageous claim that Dr AM Singhvi made during the Congress presser was that the CBI special director Rakesh Asthana was behind Verma’s ouster. He contended that on the basis of allegations made by Asthana, the committee removed Alok Verma from the post of director, while the High Court dismissed Asthana’s petition and ordered the completion of the investigation against him in a time-bound manner. Dr Singhvi, a lawyer by profession, should realise that Verma’s ouster was rooted in the CVC findings and not based on the ‘allegations’ levelled against him by Rakesh Asthana.

Government desperate to save itself from incriminating Rafale details:-

Dr AM Singhvi went on to claim that the removal of CBI chief also points towards the desperation of the government for saving itself from the irregularities in the Rafale deal that Alok Verema would have divulged had he continued to be the Chief of CBI. This lie has already been demolished by Opindia when it was first raised by the opposition after the sudden dismissal of Alok Verma. CBI on its own cannot probe Rafale deal on its own, and CBI itself had clarified that it was not probing the deal. Moreover, the Supreme Court has already ruled that there is no need for an inquiry into the Rafale and had dismissed several petitions demanding the same.

All in all, the presser dwelled more on assumptions than on facts. To assume that Alok Verma would have exposed the ‘incongruencies’ in Rafale deal when the Supreme Court has already established that no wrongdoing has occurred in the deal is an overstretch. By repeatedly trotting out the same things over and over again, it appears that Congress wants to somehow keep the issue alive with little regards to the facts.

The Accidental Prime Minister: Congress workers disrupt screening of the movie in Kolkata

0

The movie based on the Manmohan Singh’s UPA regime, The Accidental Prime Minister is caught in controversy since the release of its trailer in December last year. On 11th January, the movie hit the theatre throughout the country. Congress Youth leaders, who had earlier issued warnings against the release, have engaged in violent disruption during the screening of the movie.

According to reports, Youth Congress leaders of Kolkata created a ruckus outside Hind Inox at Central Kolkata. This prompted the police to enter into the hall and halt the screening, merely 10 minutes after its start. The hall authorities have decided to stop the screening of the movie, based a risk perception of the viewers and the property.

“The tile of the film itself is derogatory. What did the filmmaker want to imply by calling Manmohan Singh an accidental prime minister? Close to 100 activists of youth Congress in Kolkata protested in front of the theatre. It is good the screening has been stopped,” Bengal Youth Congress President Shadab Khan was quoted by IANS. West Bengal’s State culture Minister has denied state government’s interference in stopping of screening of the movie.

The Youth Congress activists also burned effigies of PM Modi and did sloganeering against BJP. The party has labelled the movie a propaganda film against the former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the Gandhi family.

A similar type of demonstration was also witnessed in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore. Congress and Youth Congress had declared opposition to the screening of the movie, which had led local police to tighten the vigilance in the region. NSUI’s (National Student Union of India, the student wing of Congress party) state unit chief Vipin Wankhede had earlier written a post on Facebook that if any theatre in the state screens the movie, they will have to bear consequences.

Today, at Indore’s Malhar Mega Mall in Vijay Nagar area, workers of Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha workers clashed with police, who tried to restrict them from entering the hall. BJYM workers were opposing the NSUI’s declared warning against the movie. Mansavi Patidar, leader of BYJM, said that they had gone to watch the movie so as to oppose the diktat of NSUI. The BJYM leaders chanted slogans against incumbent CM Kamal Nath and also against the Congress party. Patidar also added that police was following orders of the State government and disallowing them from entering the hall.

Congress party has distanced itself from the disruptions during screening and reiterated that party endorses freedom of expression.

After the release of the movie’s trailer, the Maharashtra unit of Youth Congress leaders had sent a letter to the producers of the movie The Accidental Prime Minister, asking for a special screening for them before the theatrical release of the movie, so that they can censor it. Similarly, a member of Punjab Congress Committee had also filed a case against the release of the movie, at Delhi and Haryana High court.

The movie is based on the book by the same name, authored by Manmohan Singh’s former media advisor Sanjaya Baru. It stars Anupam Kher as Manmohan Singh and Akshay Khanna essaying the role of Sanjaya Baru.

‘Missionary activities not prohibited in India, Article 25 applies to all, not only Indians’: Delhi HC

The Delhi High Court has ruled that missionary activities are not prohibited in India. The Court was hearing a case where a doctor’s OCI was cancelled by authorities claiming that he was carrying out evangelical, medical missionary and conversion activities.

The Court directed the authorities to restore the doctor’s OCI card is restored. The authorities were also asked to ensure that the petitioner faces no impediment in entering the country. The Court was hearing Dr Christo Thomas Philip’s petition against the Union of India.

The Court concluded, “Thus, the petitioner‟s has a right to practice his faith and his rendering medical service, even if it is for the furtherance of his religion, cannot be denied. The respondents have produced no law that proscribes missionary activities. And, the impugned orders, which proceed on the assumption that such activities are against the law of the land, are fundamentally flawed.”

The Court observed that the authorities have been unable to produce any law that proscribes missionary activity by OCI card holders. “It was contended on behalf of the respondents that the visa granted to the petitioner does not permit to carry out any such activities. However, the respondents have been unable to refer to any law which proscribes an OCI cardholder from carrying out any such activity.”

The authorities had cancelled the petitioner’s OCI card under section 7D (e) of the Citizenship Act which states “it is necessary so to do in the interests of the sovereignty and integrity of India, the security of India, friendly relations of India with any foreign country, or in the interests of the general public”.

The Court declared that it found no material evidence to suggest that the doctor was indulging in conversion activities. It said, “There is no material to hold that the petitioner has been indulging in conversion activities or any of the activities has led to public unrest
and law and order problems. This conclusion is also bereft of any  foundation whatsoever, as there is no whisper of any allegation that any activity of the petitioner had led to any public unrest or law and order problem.”

The Court also declared that the decision to cancel the petitioner’s OCI card was “perverse” and against the “secular values” of the Secularism. It said, “This Court is, in no manner of doubt, that the decision of the CGI that it is necessary to cancel the petitioner’s OCI Card in the interest of sovereignty and integrity of India, is wholly perverse and militates against the secular values engrafted in the Constitution of India.”

It was also ruled that rights under Article 25 of the Indian Constitution are granted to every person all across the world and not just Indian citizens. The Court observed, “It is clear from the plain language of Article 25 that all persons are equally entitled to freedom of conscience and have the right to profess, practice and propagate religion. Article 25 is not restricted to the citizens of this country but is available to all persons.”

CBI files chargesheet against Nalini Chidambaram in the Saradha chit fund scam

0

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a chargesheet against Nalini Chidambaram, wife of former union minister and Congress leader P Chidambaram, in the Saradha scam. The chargesheet was filed in a Kolkata court in the infamous chit fund case.

According to the charges filed by CBI, Nalini Chidambarm had received ₹1.4 crore from Sudipta Sen, the prime accused in the case. CBI says that Nalini Chidambaram conspired with Sudipta Sen with an intention of cheating and misappropriation of funds. She took the amount of ₹1.4 crore between 2010 to 2014, according to the chargesheet.

Sen was the chairman and managing director of the Saradha group of companies. The Kolkata based group ran a Ponzi scheme and collected around ₹3,000 crore from lakhs of investors, before the scheme collapsed the company was unable to pay back the investment, which had caused the scam to be exposed.

In 2013, Sen had sent a letter to CBI, where he had made some explosive revelations about political connections with the scam. He had named several TMC leaders and other politicians in the letter, including Mrs Chidambaram. He had written that Nalini Chidambaram was introduced to him by Manoranjnana Sinh, the estranged wife of Congress leader Matang Sinh. According to CBI, Sen had paid Mrs Chidambaram to manage probes by various against him.

The West Bengal government had formed a SIT in 2013 to probe the case, which was transferred to CBI by the Supreme Court. Sudipto Sen was arrested in 2013 and he is still in custody.

Imran Khan’s party accused of operating 18 undeclared bank accounts

0

Actor turned politician, Imran Khan might face legal complexities as a media report on Thursday quoted a report by Pakistan’s central bank as saying that Pakistan’s Prime Minister’s party has been operating 18 ‘undeclared’ bank accounts within the country.

According to a report submitted by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has been operating 26 bank accounts in different parts of the country out of which only 8 have been declared before the commission, as reported by Dawn.

The remaining 18 bank accounts fall in the category of fake or illegal bank accounts as these have not been declared in PTI’s annual audit reports submitted to the ECP as required under the law, the report said.

It is a legal requirement for all party heads to attach a certification of authenticity and accuracy duly signed by PTI Chairman, Imran Khan, along with the audit report However, it is being feared that details of these illegal accounts and their money trails could put Khan and others, some senior office holders in Khan’s government, in legal jeopardy as they are principal and co-principal signatories of these accounts, the report said.

In July 2018, failing multiple attempts to acquire PTI’s bank statements and records, the ECP reportedly wrote to the SBP to avail the party’s bank statements. Following which the central bank wrote letters to the presidents of all scheduled banks, seeking PTI’s bank statements for the period 2009-13 to be submitted to the ECP by July 16.

Finally, on receiving all documents, the ECP revealed the fraudulence of fake or illegal PTI accounts in the presence of the party’s representatives at a meeting of the scrutiny committee last year, after which the PTI stopped cooperating with the ECP, which was clearly visible as none of the PTI representatives were reportedly present in the scheduled scrutiny committee meeting on Wednesday, the report confirmed. The meeting was subsequently adjourned.

The PTI has been trying hard to keep the scrutiny committee’s proceedings as secret and had also filed an application to this effect in the ECP and also a writ petition in the Islamabad High Court. PTI’s founding member and the petitioner, in this case, Akbar S. Babar has termed the whole episode as the biggest funding fraud and said that it probably required a detailed forensic audit to know the exact extent and depth.

Left wing hooligans in Presidency College, Kolkata, disrupt event on Vivekananda, professors speak up

On the 11th of January, 2019, Leftist students at Presidency University attacked an event organized to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda the next day. The event was organized a day earlier as the University remains closed on Swami Ji’s birthday.

Apart from paying tribute to the great Hindu saint, food packets and warm clothes for winter were also distributed to poor children. As per sources, permission had been sought from the Dean for the event which was granted. Three professors who were invited to address the event were harassed by Leftists. When the professors sought to leave, Leftist goons created a ruckus and heckled them. The students who organized the event were also threatened.

Speaking to OpIndia.com, Aditya Das, Assistant Professor at the City College of Commerce and Business Administration, Kolkata, said, “They started gathering as soon as we started our speech. A large crowd that had gathered started creating a ruckus. The poor people, who had come to receive blankets and other things, were pushed about and chairs were scattered by them.”

Das went on to say that there was also a Muslim professor and another female professor present who were attacked as well. He stated, “A professor from the Bangla department, he is a Muslim, was attacked as well. They were not allowing the lady professor to exit as well. Ey ki obostha? Ey ki poristhiti? (What is this condition, what is this situation).”

The professor was extremely disappointed with the circumstances that transpired at the prestigious University. “The Presidency University which had such a stellar reputation and we had to witness such disgusting conduct today. We do not teach at Presidency, we never studied here as well but on the basis of our first experience here, I can say with the certainty that the conditions here are horrible.” He added, “I spoke on Economics, I mentioned Kaushik Basu. They have an allergy with Swami Vivekananda himself!”

Debashish Chowdhury, another Professor who was invited to address the event, expressed similar sentiments. He said, “We were extremely pleased that such an event was being organized here at President University. Mostak Babu, professor in the Bangla department, was a part of the event as well. We were sitting on the stage, Mostak Babu was sitting with us, what greater testament to secularism could there be? The Leftists could not tolerate this. And they harassed us.” Mostak Ahamed is the Head of the Bengali Department at Presidency University.

He added, “If you did not like what was happening, you could have just left. You could have given a Note of Dissent to the authorities of the University. Why would you heckle Professors who had come from other Universities?”

Papiya Mitra, a professor at Surendranath College for Women, said, “I am extremely disappointed with what happened today. They started screaming when our speeches ended. Debashish Babu, who had gone with us, was surrounded by them and it was almost like physically assaulting him. I was shocked.”

Mitra also pointed out the hypocrisy of Leftists. She said, “Everyone has a right to speak. They always speak about Freedom of Expression, and they could not tolerate even this.” She was also hurt by the manner in which the poor who had attended the event were treated. “The poor were sitting in the hope that they will receive some food. And these people were saying that ‘No! It cannot happen! Distribution of clothes, giving food can’t happen!’ I was extremely hurt by it.” She added, “They didn’t sit with us and discuss the matter in a cordial manner. They resorted to shouting and screaming instead. All they behaved in such a rowdy manner in front of poor children who had come for food.”

As per our source, the children were allowed food only after the flex of Swami Vivekananda was removed. The ruckus was created when Professor Chowdhury spoke on the rising negativity in Jawaharlal Nehru University and Jadavpur University. The Professor said that he was extremely happy with the event on Swami Vivekananda being organized at Presidency University. He also expressed his dissatisfaction with the protests against Swami Vivekananda’s statue at JNU and slogans of ‘Bharat tere tukde hongey’ that were raised there.

The Leftists also accused the guests of creating communal tensions, despite the fact that a Muslim professor was present on the stage. The students are believed to be primarily from the History Department although those from other departments were also present.

Leftist intolerance at Universities is nothing new. In February 2017, leftist students in JNU had stopped professors from entering their offices. Students from Jadavpur University had also opposed the screening of Vivek Agnihotri’s movie ‘Buddha in a Traffic Jam’ and resorted to hooliganism.

Leftist propaganda websites spread baseless claims about the transfer of ousted CBI Director Alok Verma

After Alok Verma was removed the post of CBI Director owing to serious allegations against him, by the high-level committee acting on the instructions of the Supreme Court, the left-liberal propagandists are working overtime to prove that the decision was wrong. The committee headed by prime minister Narendra Modi included Congress leader in Lok Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge and Justice A K Sikri, senior judge of supreme court. Modi and Justice Sikri voted against Verma in the meeting of the committee yesterday, while Kharge favoured hearing Verma before taking any action against him. Now allegations are being made that the Supreme Court colluded with the government in removing Verma from his post and that this decision is wrong.

The primary arguments made against the decision is that Alok Verma should have been giving an opportunity to hear him before he was ‘punished’.

The Wire wrote that “the Committee violated the principles of natural justice as it did not give Verma a hearing before summarily transferring him”.

The Print also argued that Justice Sikri should have sided with Kharge on the basis of the Principle of Natural Justice, which means that no person should be condemned or punished without being heard.

On the other hand, Scroll.in tried to blame the government for removal of Verma from his post, conveniently ignoring that the decision of a senior Supreme Court judge was vital in the matter, as views of the other two members, Modi and Kharge, were already known.

These left-wing propaganda sites repeat the same allegations that have been made against CBI special director Rakesh Asthana before and tries to project that Verma was ‘punished’ because he was investigating serious corruption cases against the government.

The assertion that principle of natural justice has been violated before removing Alok Verma from his post as CBI director is completely wrong. Because the principle arises only if a person is being punished. But in this case, the government has not punished Verma, he is merely being transferred from one post to another, and his rank and perks remain the same. He has not been suspended, not been demoted, just transferred a routine process that every government officer goes through. There is no precedence of hearing someone before he/she is transferred.

Even if Verma was suspended, it could have been done without hearing him. When allegations of corruption are made against public officials, they are suspended first and after that allowed to present their case during the inquiry, the suspension does not violate natural justice. Suspending officers pending enquiry against them is common, as that is needed to ensure a fair probe.

Although Verma’s transfer is seen as a punishment, in legal terms it is just a plain transfer. The same selection committee that appointed him decided to transfer him, so there is no question of violation of law in the decision. The Supreme Court had said on January 8 that the government cannot transfer the CBI director, only the selection committee can do that. And now, exactly what has been done.

Not just media, Congress president Rahul Gandhi had also said that the Committee should have allowed Verma to present his case, and Alok Verma also said the same while resigning today, refusing to take charge of a new post for the remaining 20 days of his term. But the Committee, including Justice Sikri, didn’t think it was necessary to hear him. Because, the decision was made based on the CVC enquiry report on him, and Verma had already presented his case against the report.

A copy of the CVC report was given to Alok Verma, and he had submitted his response to the same in the Supreme Court in November 2018. His response was published by The Wire before it was submitted at the court, which had irked CJI Ranjan Gogoi. It is important to be noted that commenting on the CVC report, the Supreme Court had said that on some charges, the report is very complimentary, on some, not so complimentary, on some, it is not at all complimentary, and on others, further investigation is required. Which means there were some serious allegations against the former CBI director in the report, while some portions of the report were favourable for him.

Alok Verma’s response to the CVC report was part of the documents the high-level committee had with it while deciding the matter, hence a separate hearing was not needed.

Now coming to the allegations against Rakesh Asthana, the fact is that activist Prashant Bhushan had filed three petitions against his appointment as CBI special director, and all three of them have been dismissed by the Supreme Court. The court found no merit in allegations against him.

It is alleged that there are serious charges against Asthana, but Alok Verma’s charges against Asthana are based on flimsy grounds. The FIR against Asthana said that Hyderabad based businessman Satish Sana had paid a bribe to Rakesh Asthana through a middleman. Sana has said he has never met Asthana, not even talked to him on phone. He says he saw Asthana’s photo as WhatsApp display picture of a contact in the phone a middleman, and he was convinced that the middleman was Asthana’s man based on that picture alone. Verma’s camp has included some Whatsapp messages and call records as proof against Asthana, and none of them links him with the alleged bribe payer. Allegations against Asthana was made 2 months after he had alleged that Alok Verma had taken a bribe of ₹2 crore to protect Moin Qureshi, against whom Asthana was investigating.

Moreover, unlike how the opposition parties and activists tried everything to protect Verma, the CBI’s case against its special director is going on without any interference. Rakesh Asthana was sent on forced leave along with Alok Verma on the same day, which means the government had acted in the most neutral way. The government has not made any attempt to protect him, as the leftist media is trying to portray. Today the Delhi High Court refused to quash the FIR against him and ordered CBI to complete the probe within 10 weeks. While entire left-liberal establishment and opposition parties were batting for Verma, Asthana did not receive any such support. Asthana still remains on forced leave, while Verma was reinstated and transferred to a different post with the same rank, so the allegation that government is being partial towards Asthana is completely baseless.

Madhya Pradesh: BJP protests against election of speaker and deputy speaker in the state assembly

The two-time MLA from Lanji seat of Naxal affected Balaghat district, Hina Kawre, was elected as the deputy speaker of the 15th Vidhan Sabha in Bhopal with a voice vote, amidst the raging opposition from BJP MLAs protesting in the Well of the House.

The BJP leaders continued their protest calling the election of deputy speaker as ‘undemocratic’ and ‘unconstitutional’. The Speaker of the house did not allow voting for the deputy speaker’s post as BJP had proposed the name of ex-minister and Malhargarh (Mandsaur) MLA Jagdish Devda for the post.

Kawre’s election to deputy speaker’s post is the first time in three decades that the long followed tradition of the post going to the principal opposition has been shunned. The decision to elect Kawre came a day before the 5-day inaugural session of the State Assembly was scheduled to end. The leader of opposition Gopal Bhargava stated that his party will move to court on the undemocratic and unconstitutional election of the speaker and deputy speaker in the Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha.

Amidst the uproar in the assembly, speaker Narmada Prajapati took up the first resolution and declared Kawre elected through a voice vote and followed with an indefinite adjournment of the House. The leader of the opposition, Gopal Bhargava and former CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan claimed that their ministers would solicit a meeting with the President to lodge a protest against what they described as the “undemocratic and unconstitutional” election of the speaker and deputy speaker.

Ever since the Congress has formed a government in Madhya Pradesh, there has been a flurry of contentious decisions from the cabinet. CM Kamal Nath had first cancelled the singing of Vande Mataram on the first of every month by government employees. However, sensing tremendous pressure, he had to restore the tradition back. He had also put a stay on pensions granted to prisoners detained during the Emergency.

Picture of Bollywood artists with Modi ruin the carefully crafted narrative of the Left-Liberal cabal, and they can’t handle it

A bunch of Bollywood A-listers shared their picture with Prime Minister Modi yesterday and the Internet cannot handle it. Filmmaker Karan Johar shared an image with PM Modi with a bunch of actors and directors and thanking him for the opportunity to interact with him.

As expected, it did not go down quite well with the “liberal” cabal. After all, just a few weeks back actor Naseeruddin Shah had said intolerance is rising. Instead of returning their Filmfare and National awards, why are these actors posing with the PM instead of crying bloody murder? The usual suspects were upset at the artists for spoiling the narrative.

Some used the word of the season ‘pliable’ without any particular context to sound cool because it is very important to voice out the opinion when intolerance is supposed to rise.

Desperation is so high that even lame ‘jokes’ are now ‘wicked’.

Clearly, people are quite hurt.

Perhaps Kamra could dream about making it big after he grows a spine that he does not delete his ‘jokes’ on Muslims, however, embarrassing they are.

Another picture of Ranveer Singh hugging PM Modi was shared by the actor, which also didn’t go down quite well with those who love to hate.

Above two tweets are referring to the violent protests that erupted during the release of the film Padmaavat last year.

There could be a couple of reasons for this. The films, The Accidental Prime Minister, based on the book of the same name, which takes you through the 10 years of UPA in 2 hours and Uri, a film based on Uri surgical strike released today. A film, Tashkent Files, which deals with the mysterious death of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri is coming up and so is a biopic of PM Modi starring Vivek Oberoi.

The Left-liberal cabal is scared that the movies which remind people of the 10 years of policy paralysis during the UPA and films like Uri based on surgical strike which made every Indian proud will not help them build the ground and narrative for the Congress. That Narendra Modi is looked up to by the film actors whom the youth of the day relate to. That it is not Rahul Gandhi who is the ‘youth icon’.

That Modi, who is portrayed as the one who is against liberal arts, is meeting people from the fraternity who are equally aware of politics. These actors have taken to social media to post their pictures, thanking the Prime Minister, calling him inspiring. The youth, many of whom may vote for the first time in the upcoming elections, is watching them, and perhaps getting influenced by who their hero endorses.

The “liberals” prove themselves to be the most illiberal bunch. They like people as long as they toe their line. The very Karan Johar who was the epitome of liberalism has today become a pliable nincompoop because he dared to go against the prevalent “liberal” political narrative. Just like they abandoned the liberal torchbearers from Bollywood today, they have often displayed their intolerance when a section refused to toe their line. Dalits stop being oppressed the moment they vote for BJP. Women are no longer invited to the liberal feminist party if they support the Prime Minister, after all, how can be forget one journalist’s “Do women supporters open their legs for Modi” comment? The cycle is unending. In the end, all they care about is their political narrative dominating the discussion. Anything that proves to be a hindrance needs to be discredited. And that is exactly what seems to be happening now.
