On death anniversary of Talwinder Singh Parmar, 10 Indian flights got bomb threats: Read about the Khalistani, who executed the biggest terror attack before Osama bin Laden

0

On Tuesday, 15th October, over 10 domestic and international flights were affected following hoax bomb threats on the anniversary of Talwinder Singh Parmar, the main accused in the Kanishka bombing. The hoax threats started pouring in on 14th October and continued on the 15th. The Ministry of Civil Aviation has called a high-level meeting on 16th October over the matter.

WION News quoted unnamed sources in the ministry suggesting that the Minister of Civil Aviation, Ram Mohan Naidu, held a meeting with the Bureau of Civil Aviation, CISF, and other senior officials regarding the bomb threats.

CISF sources confirmed that they received 10 bomb threats on social media within 24 hours. A senior police officer said, “We have identified and suspended several accounts that were posting threats on social media regarding bombs in airplanes. It has been reported that some threats originated from London and other countries.”

List of flights affected by bomb hoaxes

Most of the threats were issued on the social media platform X by an unverified account.

  1. Delhi-Chicago Air India Flight AI 127: Following the hoax threat, the flight was diverted to Iqaluit airport in Canada. According to Air India, the flight took off from Delhi at 3 AM and landed at Iqaluit airport as a precautionary measure.
  2. Dammam-Lucknow IndiGo flight 6E 98: Following the hoax threat, the flight made an emergency landing in Jaipur. An IndiGo spokesperson said in a statement, “We are cognisant of a situation involving flight 6E 98 from Dammam to Lucknow. The safety and security of our passengers and crew is our highest priority, and we are working closely with the relevant authorities and taking all necessary precautions as per the guidelines.”
  3. Jaipur-Ayodhya Air India Express flight IX 765: Following the hoax threat, the flight made an emergency landing in Ayodhya around 2 PM.

An airport officer was quoted by the media as saying, “In the last 24 hours, we have received several bomb threats in various sectors. We are responding to all the calls and have also informed the concerned police officers regarding the threats in order to identify the individuals behind them.”

A senior officer in airport security was also quoted by the media, stating that every threat is treated seriously and cannot be ignored as it concerns the safety of passengers. He said, “After receiving a threat, we inform airlines and the relevant security officer at the airport to follow the necessary procedures.”

Connection between hoax calls and Khalistani terrorist Talwinder Singh Parmar

Most of the hoax calls were made on 15th October, the death anniversary of Khalistani terrorist Talwinder Singh Parmar, who was the mastermind behind the Kanishka bombing. Parmar was born on 26th February 1944 to a Sikh family in Panchhat, district Kapurthala, Punjab. In May 1970, he migrated to Canada and became a naturalised citizen of the country. Talwinder Singh Parmar was the founder of the Khalistani terrorist organisation Babbar Khalsa International, along with Sukhdev Singh Babbar. The organisation was founded in 1978.

Assassination of Lala Jagat Narain

Talwinder Singh Parmar claimed responsibility for the assassination of Lala Jagat Narain, the founder of Hind Samachar and a former Punjab MLA and MP, who was killed on 9th September 1981. Jagat Narain was well-known for his criticism of Khalistani terrorist Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale and the Khalistani movement.

On the day of his assassination, Lala Jagat Narain was travelling in his grey Fiat from Patiala towards Jallandhar. An unmarked Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle tailed him but went unnoticed by both driver Som Nath and Narain who was sitting in the back seat. Four kilometres outside Ludhiana, the motorcycle came alongside the car and the pillion riders fired shots at the vehicle. The driver slammed the brakes and attempted to turn the vehicle but a bus blocked the path. The pillion riders jumped off the bike. One of them had a 0.45 calibre revolver and the other had a 0.32 calibre weapon. They both fired point-blank at Narain and the driver. Som Nath sustained a bullet injury but survived.

Lala Jagat Narain, however, was not lucky enough. He was shot thrice by the attacker. He fell on the seat immediately and soon after died. Narain’s death was among the first prominent murders that sparked uproar among Hindus across Punjab.

Assassins were not lucky enough themselves. Their bike broke down after the attack. One of the attackers identified as Nachhatar Singh, a self-proclaimed Naxalite, was arrested by the bystanders while the other two Dalbir Singh and Swaran Singh were listed as accused. Dalbir Singh was involved in the murder of Baba Gurbachan Singh murder case. Swaran Singh was relative of Bhindranwale. Notably, Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale was also listed as one of the ‘conspirators’ in the murder case.

Following the assassination, Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale was accused of being involved in the murder. He offered to surrender, but only after delivering a speech at a Gurdwara in Amritsar on 20th September 1981. Shortly after his arrest, two motorcycle-borne members of Babbar Khalsa opened fire with a machine gun in a busy market in Jalandhar. Four people were killed and 12 were injured.

Arrest in Germany and extradition request of Talwinder Singh Parmar turned down by Canada

In 1983, Parmar was arrested and tried in Germany for the murder of two Punjab police officers in 1981. However, he was acquitted by German authorities. Soon after his release, he returned to Canada. India submitted a formal request to extradite him, but Canada turned it down. At that time, current Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s father, Pierre Trudeau, was the Prime Minister of Canada.

In his book ‘Blood For Blood’, Canadian journalist Terry Milewski wrote about his incident. He said, “Canada can’t be compared to Pakistan as a springboard for Khalistani militants in the past forty years, but it has offered them the great advantage of a congenial legal and political environment. The meek Canadian response to the Khalistani challenge was a frequent target of Indian politicians as far back as 1982 when Prime Minister Indira Gandhi complained about it to Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau.”

“Not much came of it. Quite the reverse, in fact. Pierre Trudeau’s government refused the 1982 Indian request to extradite Talwinder Parmar to India for murder on the quaint grounds that India was insufficiently deferential to the Queen. That is not a joke. Canadian diplomats had to tell their Indian counterparts that the extradition protocols between Commonwealth countries would not apply because India only recognized Her Majesty as Head of the Commonwealth and not as Head of State. Case closed!” he added.

Kanishka bombing

On 23rd June 1985, the then deadliest aviation oriented terrorist attack occurred in the world. It would remain the deadliest of its kind until the 9/11 attacks in 2001. It was the bombing of Air India Flight 182 Kanishka by Khalistani terrorists which led to the death of 329 people, that is, everyone aboard the flight. The plane was blown in midair off the coast of Ireland. Out of 329 casualities, 268 were Canadian citizens.

Pierre Trudeau is vastly blamed for the Kanishka bombing, as it was only after the Trudeau-led government saved Parmar he started preparing for the bombing. In 1984, Parmar told his fellow Khalistanis that “Indian planes will fall from the sky”. In the same year, Ajaib Singh Bagri, a close associate of Parmar, pledged to kill 50,000 Hindus. He said at the founding convention of the World Sikh Organization, “Until we kill 50,000 Hindus, we will not rest!” It was reported by Milewski, who extensively covered the Khalistani movement in Canada and abroad.

Despite of his role in Kanishka bombing killing mainly Canadians, he is a “celebrated personality” among Canadian pro-Khalistani Sikhs.

Bahraich: Sudhakar Tiwari whom Islamists attacked along with Ram Gopal Mishra confirms people from the Mosque initiated the attack on Hindus

On Tuesday, October 15th, a novel video related to one of the most violent attacks on Hindus during Navratri in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh that happened on Sunday, October 13th came to the fore. In the said attack an Islamist mob mercilessly murdered 22-year-old Ram Gopal Mishra. However, Mishra alone did not face the brutal assault; he was joined by Sudhakar Tiwari, who fortunately survived the attack.

Sudhakar at present is admitted to a local hospital where he is undergoing treatment to cure severe injuries he obtained as a result of the attack. As per the reports, he has incurred head trauma and is hardly able to speak.

A video of Tiwari hospitalized was shared on X by Shubham Sharma of NeoPolitico, a media outlet. In the video, Tiwari can be seen confirming that some people from the Mosque initiated the attack on the Hindus.

“People from the mosque attacked us. I don’t remember much as they attacked us. I was injured on my head and moved unconscious. The police brought me here,” Tiwari could be heard saying as he recalled the horrific attack that happened in Bahraich on 13th October.

clash broke out between two communities during the immersion of the Devi Durga idol in Rehua Mansoor village in the Hardi police station area of Bahraich in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday, after Muslims objected to DJ music played in the procession. One person was shot dead during the violence while several others were injured from stone pelting. The deceased was later identified as 22-year-old Ram Gopal Mishra, who was part of the idol immersion group. Mishra was rushed to the medical college hospital after the firing, but he died there during treatment.

As per reports, the incident took place at Rehua Mansoor village on Sunday evening, when the idol of Maa Durga was taken out for immersion. When the procession heading towards Gauriya Ghat was passing in front of a mosque in the Maharajganj area chanting religious slogans, Muslims gathered near the mosque and asked the procession to stop the DJ music.

This led to an argument between the two sides, and amid the chaos, some people started pelting stones at the procession and the idols. The Hindus asked the police present to arrest the culprits, but in the meantime, more people from the Muslim community arrived there.

It is believed that during the turmoil, Mishra climbed onto the roof of Abdul Hamid’s house and replaced an already flying green flag with a saffron one, while cries of ‘Jai Maa Durga’ and ‘Jai Hanuman’ roared in the air.

Amid the mayhem caused by the stone pelting, some miscreant opened fire. As per reporters, someone from Abdul Hamid’s residence in the area fired shots. Ram Gopal Mishra, son of Kailash Nath of Rehua Mansoor village was shot from a close range. He was shifted to the Medical College in Bahraich, but he succumbed to injuries during treatment.

What followed was much more terrifying. The Islamists carried Mishra into a house, locked him inside, and tortured him brutally. They used pliers to remove his nails, sliced his neck with a knife, and then shot over 15 bullets at him. After killing him, the mob resumed their attack by pelting stones at his motionless body, demonstrating an immense hatred towards the Hindu community.

OpIndia spoke to Harimilan Mishra, brother of the deceased Ram Gopal, in connection with this video. Harimilan said that Muslims murdered his brother by dragging him into their house. Some Hindu youths involved in the immersion procession somehow reached there and tried to bring the body out. The youths bringing the body were also attacked with bullets and stones. Some stones also hit Ram Gopal’s dead body. According to Harimilan, his brother’s body could only be brought out from the roof of another house.

When OpIndia asked whether the police did not help in bringing the body out, Harimilan replied, “My brother was killed because of the police.” He said that as long as the Hindus were united, they were not attacked, but as soon as there was a stampede due to the lathi charge by the police, the attack took place and bullets were fired. Ram Gopal Mishra became the victim of these bullets.

Brother Harimilan said that the police neither helped in saving Ram Gopal, nor in removing his body after the murder. Now, Ram Gopal Mishra has been cremated. Before the cremation, there was a long argument between the family of the deceased and the administration. Ram Gopal’s brother Harimilan said that he had cremated his brother on the basis of the assurance given by Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Sureshwar Singh.

As the news of the death of Ram Gopal Mishra spread across the state, his sister Preeti, who lives in Lucknow, rushed to Bahraich. She expressed her grief saying, “They killed my brother like an animal. They sliced his throat and removed his toenails. His entire body had been wounded by gunfire, and his stomach had many knife cuts. They shot him fifteen times,” she said.

Journalist Sharma also visited Mishra’s house to reveal that the deceased stayed in the most vulnerable economic conditions. Sharma also revealed that Mishra was just married and that he stayed with his wife in a single room that didn’t even have proper walls or roofs.

While Ram Gopal Mishra unfortunately succumbed to the brutal attack by Muslim radicals, Sudhakar Tiwari continues to receive medical attention and is no longer in danger.

Mishra’s death is extremely sad for his family. He was the youngest of three brothers; his two older brothers had previously died, one from suicide and the other from drowning. Gopal was his family’s last earner, and he too has now died. Ram Gopal was married only two months before the Muslim radicals killed him on 13th October during a visarjan procession of the Goddess Durga idol in the Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh.

Pro-Khalistani Canadian politician Jagmeet Singh calls for ‘sanctions’ on Indian diplomats during press conference, reporters laugh at his stupidity

Amid the escalating diplomatic tensions between India and Canada, New Democratic Party leader Jagmeet Singh, notorious for his anti-India and pro-Khalistan views, triggered jeers and laughs from the journalists during a press conference in Ottawa. Exposing his absolute lack of understanding of diplomatic protocols, the NDP leader called for imposing sanctions against Indian diplomats.

“We support today’s decision to expel India’s diplomats and we’re calling on the Government of Canada yet again to put diplomat sanctions against India in place, ban the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Network (RSS) in Canada, and commit to pursuing the most severe consequences for anyone found to have participated in organised criminal activity on Canadian soil,” Jagmeet Singh said on 15th October.

Instead of taking media questions regarding his ‘sanction Indian diplomats’ statement, Jagmeet Singh walked out of the press conference. As Singh left the room, journalists started mocking Singh for the sheer absurdity of his statement with one of the reporters saying “That’s not how it works.”

Notably, on 14th October, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) issued a statement during a press conference on Monday accusing India of involvement in criminal activities in Canada. The agency claimed to have uncovered “direct links” between Indian diplomats in Canada and violent acts, including homicides. The RCMP claimed that these diplomats used their official positions to engage in clandestine activities, collecting intelligence on South Asian Canadians to target them through criminal proxies. The intelligence, according to the RCMP, was gathered through coercion, with some Canadian individuals and businesses threatened into cooperating with the Indian agents.

As reported earlier, the RCMP inadvertently admitted that Canada has become a safe haven for pro-Khalistan elements when they clarified that India’s actions are not targeting Sikhs as a whole, but specifically focusing on pro-Khalistani individuals. By acknowledging this, Canada inadvertently exposes the influence of Khalistani elements within its borders, while India continues to uphold its stance against terrorism, not a community.

India, in response, strongly rejected the Canadian claims and said that Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made certain allegations in September 2023. However, the Canadian government has not shared a single piece of evidence with the Indian government despite many requests from them.

Citing the outrageous allegations levelled by the Canadian authorities against the Indian government, Jagmeet Singh launched a direct attack on the Modi government. He said: “It confirmed some of the background of how we got here. Really what it highlighted is that we’ve got the Indian government, specifically the Modi government, that is engaged through diplomats in Canada, criminal elements that have then gone on to shoot at Canadian homes, to shoot at Canadian businesses, to kill Canadians. That is very serious. As the RCMP mentioned, the briefing also mentioned, that there are deep concerns for Canadian safety, and that’s why I really believe it is our responsibility if we believe in protecting our country, I love this country, we need to do everything possible to keep people safe and to keep our democracy safe…,” Singh said.

‘Trudeau cultivated and pandered to anti-India extremists, terrorist’: Ex-diplomat blames Canadian PM for the worsening relationship between India-Canada

On the India-Canada row, Anil Trigunayat, a former Diplomat said that Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is responsible for the worsening relationship between both countries.

Trigunayat said that Trudeau cultivated and “pandered to the anti-India extremists, terrorists and separatist groups.”

Talking to ANI, he said, “I think that the relationship between India and Canada has hit rock bottom and the complete credit for this goes to the current Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, who has made it a point to cultivate and to pander to the anti-India extremists, terrorists and separatist groups and is supporting them and unnecessarily has been making various blatant allegations against India and the killing of a terrorist called Nijjar and since then they have not provided any evidence,” he said.

Former IFS officer and President of India Habitat Centre, Bhaswati Mukherjee said that the statement by Canada is extremely provocative.

She said, “The sharp statement that came from the Canadian side, was extremely provocative. It said that our high commissioner to Canada was the representative of the President of India to Canada and is a suspect in our murder assassination case, which implies that they are neither respecting the Indian convention nor are they giving any indication that they will issue his safety,” he said.

Mukherjee further said that India reacted sharply as it is an independent sovereign country.

“Since we are not a banana Republican, but a proud, democratic, independent, sovereign country, we reacted sharply because no country in the world, unless it was a banana republic, would have reacted in any other way,” she said.

India and Canada have been dealing with an unprecedented diplomatic crisis after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau alleged that Indian government agents were involved in the killing of Nijjar in Canada. India has rejected Canada’s allegations, terming it “absurd” and “politically motivated.”

Tamil Nadu: Samsung workers decide to call off strike, ready to resume work

0

The Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday said that the workers’ strike at Samsung India’s plant near Chennai has been called off and the workers have decided to resume work.

According to the statement from the Tamil Nadu government, as the Samsung workers were participating in a strike from September 9, the Hon’ble Chief Minister instructed to resolve the strike amicably at the earliest.

“In accordance with the instructions of the Hon’ble Chief Minister, the Minister for PWD, Highways and Minor Ports, the Minister for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, the Hon’ble Minister for Labour Welfare and Skill Development and the Minister for Industries along with officials from various departments conducted meetings with concerned parties at various stages. As a consequence Samsung Management announced several welfare measures in the interest of the workers,” the government said.

The management of Samsung India announced several measures in the interest of the workers, as per the communication by the State Labour Department.

“Consequently, on October 15, 2024, conciliation talks were held before the officials of the Department of Labour Welfare. During the conciliation talks, representatives from both the management and the striking workers participated and the following decisions were arrived at, all the striking workers will immediately to call off the strike and return to work. On returning to work the management not to victimise the workers only for having participated in the strike. After returning to work, the workers to cooperate with the management fully and not do any such acts prejudicial to the interest of the Management,” it stated.

The management will file a written reply to the charter of demands filed by the workers before the conciliation officer.

“Both the parties have accepted this advice. The workers informed that they would call off the strike immediately and return to work. Thus the strike at the Samsung factory has come to an end and all the workers are resuming work,” the government said.

The Samsung factory is located in Sunguvarchatiram in Kanchipuram district which is on the outskirts of Chennai. More than 1500 workers are working, and since September 9, they have been engaged in a continuous protest, insisting on a wage hike, union recognition, and 8-hour working hours.

Karnataka High Court: Shouting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ slogan inside mosque does not hurt religious feelings

On Tuesday, October 15, Karnataka High Court quashed a case against two men accused of an offence under IPC Section 295A for allegedly shouting ‘Jai Shri Ram‘ in a mosque. The Karnataka High Court said it was not understandable how the slogan would outrage the religious feelings of any class.

As per the Live Law report, the Court said this after noting that the complainant in the case had himself said that Hindus and Muslims were living in harmony in the concerned area.

The Court further said that as no ingredients of the offences alleged were made out, permitting further proceedings against the petitioners would become an abuse of process of law.

As per the complaint, the two had entered a local mosque one night in September last year and shouted “Jai Shri Ram.”

Notably, the two accused men were booked under various IPC offences including Sections 447 (Punishment for criminal trespass), 505 (Statements conducing to public mischief), 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation), 34 (common intention) and 295A.

The High Court said, “Section 295A deals with deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs. It is ununderstandable as to how if someone shouts ‘Jai Sriram’ it would outrage the religious feeling of any class. When the complainant himself states that Hindu – Muslims are living in harmony in the area the incident by no stretch of imagination can result in antimony.”

Apparently, the High Court referred to the Supreme Court’s decision in Mahendra Singh Dhoni v Yerraguntla Shyamsundar (2017) and said that the apex court had held that any and every act will not become an offence under Section 295A of the IPC and the acts which have “no effect on bringing out peace or destruction of public order” will not lead to an offence under the provision.

The Court, contrary to the State’s position, held that the alleged offence in the present case did not have any adverse effect on public order.

Gujarat: RSS-VHP volunteer assaulted and threatened by Lala Sheikh, Rustam, and others for playing devotional garba song in car

0

Islamists have created unrest throughout the nation during the Durga Puja, including Gujarat, for a while now, and Hindus have been targeted through multiple attacks by them. The torture and murder of Ram Gopal Mishra in Uttar Pradesh’s Bahraich is a recent example of their brutality. Now, an incident has come to light where a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) volunteer, who is also a part of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), was surrounded and attacked by a Muslim mob in Jamkhambhaliya in Dwarka district.

The matter relates to playing devotional garba song in his own car which infuriated the accused who grabbed the victim’s neck and assaulted him. The local police were notified by the victim and they registered a First Information Report (FIR) against 25-30 individuals, including Lala Sheikh and Rustam.

According to the information, the incident transpired on 14th October near Madina Masjid Chowk in Jamkhambhaliya. The man was passing through the area in a car to drop off a friend at his home. Meanwhile, a program of majlis (Islamic speech) was going on at the intersection and the members of the Muslim community surrounded him as he drove by. He was held by his collar, threatened and thrashed by them.

OpIndia contacted the Hindu man to know more about the case who stated, “The incident happened late last night. As one of my friends was going to his home, I was going to use the car of another friend to drop him there. I like to listen to music while driving like many others and was playing garba song. I reached Madina Masjid Chowk and witnessed that a majlis program of the Muslim community was in progress there. I then parked the vehicle on the side of the road and was thinking of a way out.”

He added, “Meanwhile, the people standing there signaled me that the car would pass and told me to drive forward. Afterwards, I drove slowly from the area and went straight to my friend’s house and dropped him there. I had a brief conversation with him and left. I was again listening to garba song while returning and noticed that the event had ended at the Madina Masjid Chowk. However, a crowd was present there. I was passing by peacefully. They spotted my car and surrounded me. They ordered me to park it on the side. I complied and got out after they asked me.”

The victim saw Lala Sheikh and Rustam who he knew by face, among the throng of 25 to 30 people. He mentioned, “As soon as I came out of the car, those people caught my collar. Before I could understand anything, they started misbehaving with me. They jostled me like a toy. They asked why was I going through the neighbourhood and playing garba song in the car. They abused me and I told them not to do so and leave me alone which further incensed them. They threatened to murder me if I passed through that locality again. They were extremely agitated about the religious song I was playing in the car and questioned why I chose to pass through the area during majlis.”

The incident shook the man who left the car at the place and went straight to the police station after somehow managing to escape. “I filed a complaint against the Muslim mob and demanded protection from the authorities. The police are currently taking action against them”, he said.

Police action and arrest of the offenders

Jamkhambhaliya police moved swiftly to take action on the matter. Due to the sensitivity of the incident, senior police officers also arrived at the location and cops were immediately stationed across the region. Police have registered an FIR against the accused including Lala Sheikh and Rustam under sections 352, 351 (3), 198 (2), 190 and 191 (2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). OpIndia has a copy of the FIR.

On the other hand, OpIndia contacted Bhupendrasinh Sarvaiya who has been serving as a police inspector (PI) at Jamkhambhaliya police station to know about the progress of the case. “The incident happened last night and we took action immediately owing to the sensitive nature of the complaint. A case of riot has been filed. The police were constantly monitoring the area due to the religious programs and processions of the Muslim community. Now, the named accused are going to be arrested,” he informed.

He further explained, “The process of locating the evidence has also been completed. Only two people’s names are known to the complainant and the identities of the other culprits are still unknown. We will investigate the nearby CCTVs, find out about the other individuals and take appropriate action against them. All of them will be taken into custody right away. At the same time, arrangements have been made in the vicinity of the complainant’s residence to ensure that there is no unrest or panic. Now, that things are under control, more action is underway.”

Notably, there is absolute peace in Jamkhambhalia even after the instance. Action will be taken to arrest the accused. The police are keeping a close watch on the entire area to prevent any untoward incident. The complainant is also relying on the authorities to provide him justice.

‘We want justice, we want blood for blood’: Deceased Ram Gopal Mishra’s grieving family meets CM Yogi in Lucknow, demand encounter of culprits

The family of 22-year-old Ram Gopal Mishra who was killed by a Muslim mob in Bahraich of Uttar Pradesh met Chief Minister Yogi Adityantha in Lucknow on 15th October. The family expressed, “We want an encounter of the perpetrators. We don’t want anything else from the chief minister,” while talking to Aaj Tak before the meeting.

Roli Mishra, his widow stated that they should die in the same manner her husband did. The two were married only two months before he was tortured and murdered by Abdul Hameed, his two sons Sarfaraz and Faheem and Sahir Khan, among others on 13th October during a visarjan procession of the idol of Goddess Durga.

“We don’t know if CM Yogi will give justice or not until we go to meet him,” the family members mentioned in reply to a query about their faith in justice served by CM Yogi. They then reiterated, “We want blood for blood.” Roli Mishra highlighted, “We are not satisfied with the action taken by the police,” when asked whether they were satisfied with the response of the authorities.

“We will not be satisfied until those people are punished and their blood is shed like his. We will go to meet the chief minister and see. My husband will be at peace only after the culprits are punished. We will also get peace then. We don’t want anything else,” she voiced.

While sitting in the car, a family member stated that they should get justice. He unveiled, “I saw his condition. No one else including the police was with me at that time. The cops were completely inept.” The person further blamed them and stated that the unfortunate instance would have been averted if the cops and station officer (SO) weren’t so negligent. “Nothing would have happened if there was no lathi-charge by the cops. Action should be taken. We are not satisfied with their (accused) arrest. We want encounter,” the individual stressed. Police resorted to lathi-charge the Hindu devotees who retaliated after the Muslims started to pelt stones on the procession from Abdul Hameed’s house.

Earlier, Ram Gopal’s grieving mother cried, “My son is gone. What will we do now? All we want is justice. They (the killers) should be punished the way my son was killed.” He was the youngest of three brothers and one of them had already died a few years ago. His brother Harimilan Mishra declared that he would meet CM Yogi and tell him the entire story. He stated, “What happened, how it happened and what is our demand? At present, we are not happy with the police action. This is the result of the negligence of the policemen. I was present there when the murder happened. We want encounter of the culprits.”

Ram Gopal Mishra was a resident of Rehuya Mansur village of Hardi police station area of Bharaich. He was leading the procession which came under attack while passing through the Muslim-dominated locality of the Maharajganj area. Some Muslim youngsters were standing on the street and initiated an argument under the guise of gulaal (coloured powder used in Hindu rituals and festivals including Holi), raising slogans and playing DJ.

The Muslims then started throwing stones at the devotees and the cops lathi-charged the latter when they responded in the same manner. The action further encouraged the Muslim side and caused a stampede during which bullets were also fired. Ram Gopal’s nails were pulled out and he was brutally tortured before the accused eventually killed him. Stones were thrown and bullets were also fired at the people who carried his corpse which was also hit by a few stones, according to a video.

Islamic cleric says Hindus rape the Devi that they worship, no legal action so far despite making the disgusting comments on Live TV

A video of radical Islamic cleric Mohammed Sajid Rashidi, making vile and derogatory remarks, about Hindus raping deities (Devi) has surfaced on social media.

“Islam has declared that there is Jannat (paradise) at the foot of the mother…You (Hindus) rape the one that you refer to as Devi,” he was heard saying.

The radical Maulana was immediately confronted by journalist Himanshu Dixit, who asked him to stay within the limits of civility.

Rashidi made the comments during a panel discussion on Times Now Navabharat on Thursday (10th October).

It has been 5 days since he made the derogatory remarks about Hindus.

No legal action has been taken so far against him despite the deliberate attempt to outrage the sentiments of the Hindu community

Controversies of Maulana Sajid Rashidi

This is not the first time Maulana Sajid Rashidi has stirred the hornet’s nest through his comments. Earlier in August, a video surfaced on social media wherein he objected to slogans of the “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” in schools.

Sajid Rashidi had also threatened India with another partition and violence if the Waqf Act was amended. In February 2023, he claimed that Mahmud Ghazni attacked Somnath Temple only to stop illegal activities.

Later, an FIR was lodged against him for his remarks that the Islamic tyrant Mahmud of Ghazni did not destroy Somnath Temple due to his hatred towards infidels (Kafirs) but to stop the alleged ‘wrongdoings’ that were taking place inside the temple.

Following the FIR, Maulana Rashidi issued a half-hearted apology to Somnath Trust saying it was not his intention to hurt anyone. He has also stated that his claims were based on Romila Thapar’s writings.

In November 2022, he threatened that India would on fire after the Uttarakhand government decided to modernise madrasas.

Gujarat: Communal tensions flare up in Deesa after a married Hindu woman ‘disappears’ from Garba event, husband blames a Muslim youth for luring her away

A tense situation has erupted in Deesa Taluka of Banaskantha, Gujarat after a married Hindu woman did not return home from a Garba event during the Navratri festival. Her husband has accused a Muslim youth of luring the woman away with him.

The woman’s husband stated that his wife went to participate in the Garba festivities but did not return home. He filed a complaint with Deesa South Police station, alleging that a Muslim man had coaxed his wife and taken her away. The visibly distressed man informed the authorities that he had been unable to contact his wife since her disappearance, leaving him and their child anxious.

Hindu groups begin protests

As reports of the Hindu woman going missing in Deesa reached local Hindu organisations, they began staging protests, demanding the immediate arrest of the accused. Former Deesa MLA, Shashikant Pandya, also arrived at the police station and urged authorities to take swift action. The police have initiated an investigation, focusing on mobile location data and CCTV footage. However, according to a report by Desh Gujarat, no significant leads have emerged.

As protests erupted, further intensifying the tension in the area, the police reassured the public that they are thoroughly investigating the matter. Nevertheless, the situation remains tense, with the woman’s disappearance stirring communal unrest. In response, additional police units have been deployed to maintain law and order and prevent further escalation.

Gujarat, Navratri and incidents of attack on Hindus

Though the Navratri festival was peaceful in the state of Gujarat this year, thanks to the efforts made by Hindu organisations, the state government and the police, some incidents happened across Gujarat. On 8th October, a 17-year-old minor girl was gang-raped by three men. Two of the accused were arrested, out of which, one died in police custody over health issues. The deceased has been identified as Shiv Shankar alias Dayashankar Chourasiya from Tadkeshwar village. The incident took place when the minor victim and her friend were passing through the outskirts of Mota Borsara village on Tuesday. They stopped midway as the two-wheeler they riding ran out of fuel.

At that moment, three men, Shiv Shankar, Munna Paswan, and Raju, arrived there on a motorcycle. When they stopped and approached them, they got scared and tried to flee. But the three men overpowered them. They thrashed and robbed the male friend of the minor girl, and took the girl to an isolated place where they brutally gang-raped her. They also snatched the phones of both the victims and a gold chain from the girl.

They took turns in raping her, while others held him captive. But he somehow escaped and told the villagers in Mota Morsara villages about the incident. As a large number of villagers arrived at the scene, the attackers fled from the scene, and the police were informed about the case.

Police quickly launched a search operation, and located the two-wheeler used by the perpetrators with the help of a dog squad. This led to the arrest of two accused, Shiv Shankar and Munna Paswan.

One more gang rape case was reported in Gujarat during the Navratri. In a similar case, a 16-year-old minor was allegedly gang-raped on the outskirts of Vadodara city on October 4. Police have arrested three main accused and two others in the case. The five accused are identified as Munna Abbas Banjara, Mumtaz alias Aftab Banjara, Shahrukh Banjara, Saif Ali Banjara and Ajmal Banjara.
