‘Neech ko neech nahi kahege toh kya kahege’: Danish Ali’s casteist slur against PM Modi provoked Ramesh Bidhuri’s outburst

Amidst row over BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri’s remarks against BSP MP Danish Ali, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has made shocking revelations alleging that Danish Ali also made “highly objectionable and blasphemous” remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying that the BSP called PM Modi “Neech” which triggered Ramesh Bidhuri and he fell in Ali’s trap.

In a letter to Speaker Om Birla, Dubey accused Ali of giving a running commentary during Bidhuri’s address in Lok Sabha on Thursday (September 21), as well as making derogatory remarks intended to cause him to lose his cool.

Describing the second-to-second development, MP Dubey stated that Danish Ali made “highly objectionable and blasphemous” remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He used the ‘neech’ jibe, according to the BJP leader, “and it was enough for ‘any patriotic public representative to lose his calm and fall into his trap by speaking unsavoury remarks”. Dubey was unequivocal in his condemnation of Bidhuri’s remarks, adding that no decent society could support them and that they could not be criticised enough.

“I will be going to present you the second-to-second development that took place just prior to the utterances made by Shri Bidhuri. When Shri Danish Ali was busy in instigating Shri Bidhuri with his superlatives (?), i.e., Shri Danish Ali, made a highly objectionable and blasphemous remark against our Honourable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi Jee, by consuming his entire lung-power notwithstanding the availability of microphone that ‘neech ko neech nahi kahenge to kya khange’.”

“This statement made by Shri Danish Ali, as I think, was more than enough for any patriotic public representative to ‘lose his calm’ and fall into his trap by uttering unsavoury words. It is also very unfortunate that the entire media has also not gone into these minute pre-mortem details, wherein, Shri Danish Ali was instrumental in uttering similar unsavoury words against our Honourable Prime Minister,” the letter reads.

Dubey went on to say that the issue of ‘breach of privilege,’ which Danish Ali and other Members of Parliament have been vocal about, cannot be applied in isolation because it would result in a significant and irreversible “miscarriage of justice.”

Dubey stated in his letter that TMC and DMK members made comments regarding another community’s faith. Dubey stated that on Thursday, TMC MP Saugat Roy mocked the Ramayana, a Hindu sacred scripture, claiming that Lord Rama and the Pushpak Vimaan mentioned in the Hindu epic do not exist and that it is a fictitious tale. The TMC stated, “Ram aur Pushpak Vimaan ka koi astitv nahi hai, jhooti kahani hai,” as per Dubey.

The BJP MP went on to claim that the Dravida Munetra Kazhagham (DMK) MPs asserted that they are Dravids while the BJP MPs are Aryans and that the BJP government is superstitious in its decision to halt the Setu Samudram Project. The BJP MP also slammed DMK leaders for making disparaging remarks against Hindu Dharma.

“We are Dravids and you are Aryans. You are spreading superstition by stopping the ‘Setu Samudram Project. There is no God, Hindu is not a religion,” the DMK MPs said, as claimed by Nishikant Dubey.

MP Nishikant Dubey requested to Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla that an Inquiry Committee be constituted to investigate the disparaging remarks made by the BSP, TMC and DMK MPs during Ramesh Bidhuri’s speech in the Lok Sabha.

Taking to X, MP Dubey reiterated his demand to conduct an investigation into Danish Ali’s alleged derogatory remarks and wrote, “No civilized society can accept the statement given by Ramesh Vidhuri ji in the Lok Sabha as correct, it is less to be condemned but @loksabhaspeaker ji should also investigate the indecent words and conduct of MP Danish Ali. According to the rules and procedures of the Lok Sabha. Under this, interrupting an MP during the scheduled time, speaking while sitting, doing running commentary also comes under the ambit of punishment. I have been an MP for the last 15 years, I stay in the House for the longest time from the opening of the Lok Sabha till its closing. I never thought I would see such a day.”

It is worth noting that this is not the first time that a political opponent of Prime Minister Modi has used the “neech” (lowly) casteist barb. Back in December 2017, Congress leader Manishankar Aiyar, notorious for his controversial remarks had called PM Modi a “neech kisam ka aadmi” ahead of the Gujarat state assembly elections.

While the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi after much outrage tried to distance himself from Aiyar’s casteist remark against PM Modi and “expected” an apology from him. Aiyar never apologised, rather, two years later, he even tried to justify his “neech aadmi” jibe. Ironically, while the Congress leader claims to spread Mohabbat and work to eradicate “nafrat” has failed to take action against Mani Shankar Aiyar, who even after making casteist comments about India’s democratically elected leader remains a member of the Congress party.

Interestingly, Rahul Gandhi who claims to be running “nafrat ke bazaar mein mohabbat ki dukaan” met BSP MP Danish Ali who had strongly objected to the raising of Bharat Mata Ki Jai slogans in August this year. During the virtual inauguration program of the Amrut Bharat Station Scheme at Amroha railway station in Uttar Pradesh by PM Modi, MP Danish Ali got infuriated to such an extent hearing Bharat Mata Ki Jai slogans that he caused a ruckus at the event and RPF, Police and Railway officials had to intervene.

The BSP MP who allegedly passed casteist slur against PM Modi whom the Gandhi scion met is also a “proud follower” of Islamist tyrant Tipu Sultan. While Tipu Sultan is painted as the one who struggled against the British. But, the anti-Hindu Islamic barbarian acts of the 18th-century tyrant are not too old to be forgotten.

Even today (September 23), Haryana Congress president Udai Bhan called Prime Minister Narendra Modi a “R**dwa” while implying that PM Modi killed his wife alive. The Congress leader said that the “R**dwa” who killed his wife even as she is alive is ruling at the centre. Apparently, Rahul Gandhi, the self-proclaimed ambassador of “Mohabbat” needs to impart some “Mohabbat” lessons into the minds of his own party leaders who have time and again called PM Modi as neech, Asur, Hitler, Kutte ki maut marega and what not.

Anees and Azad, killed and injured in encounter after attacking female cop, had brainwashed minor Hindu girls: Read the story of their conversion after nikah

On August 30, 2023, a woman police constable was attacked in a train in Ayodhya district of Uttar Pradesh. It is alleged that three men named Anees, Azad and Vishambhar first tried to molest the woman police constable and brutally beat her up when she resisted.

The main accused in this case Anees was killed in an encounter by the police on Friday 22 September 2023. At the same time, Azad and Vishambhar have been injured in this encounter, and are undergoing treatment.

This was not the first crime incident of Anees and Azad. The OpIndia team visited the village of Anees and Azad and also the encounter site to unravel the layers of their crimes. During this visit, we found that both the accused not only have a long criminal history but also have serious charges like grooming jihad and oppressing Dalits.

Anees and Azad married Hindu girls

The OpIndia team left for Dashalawan village in the Haiderganj police station area of Ayodhya. The deceased Anees and the injured Azad Khan are residents of this village. The village, about 50 km from Ayodhya city, borders Sultanpur district. There was a lot of police force deployed in the village. Both male and female policemen were stationed in front of the deceased Anees’s house.

Several green flags were seen lined up in front of Anees’s house. During this time, we came to know that the deceased Anees had married a Hindu woman from a Dalit community.

The woman hailed from the Manupur village, located about 2 km from his house. Before marriage, the Dalit girl’s name was Antima. Now she is known as Bano. Bano is the mother of a baby girl named Arifa.

At the same time, the accused Azad Khan, who was arrested in this encounter, has also married a Hindu girl. Azad’s wife belongs to the OBC community and hails from the same Dashalawan village.

Suman was married to Azad Khan about 13 years ago. Suman – the daughter of Munna – became Shabana after her marriage. Now Shabana is the mother of 4 children. Anees’s and Azad’s houses in the village are almost adjacent to each other.

Anees wanted to marry Antima when she was a minor

The OpIndia team went to Manupur village and first met the mother of Anees’s wife Antima (now Bano). Antima’s mother cried and said that Anees would often follow her daughter since she was a minor. She alleged that Anees had managed to Antima while on her way to school when she was in Class 8.

Antima’s mother said that at first Anees wanted to marry Antima at a young age, but due to the intervention of the police, it could not happen. Later, Anees waited for Antima to become an adult and took her with him as soon as she became an adult.

Antima’s mother further told us that the entire community along with her 5 other daughters and 2 sons opposed this relationship. The matter went to the police and the victim’s family accused Anees of kidnapping Antima.

However, during the police investigation, Antima expressed her desire to live with Anees, claiming to be an adult. Crying over the news of Antima becoming a widow at the age of 25-26, her mother told us that she would not be able to bring her back to her family even if she wanted to. The reason for this was a threat of a boycott by the community and the resolve of her own sons not to have any relations with her.

Antima’s mother further told us, “We are Hindus, they are Muslims. How could we connect with them? Even if she had married in our own religion, there would have been a way out.” She told us that after her daughter married a Muslim, her husband became mentally ill and now acts like crazy. She added, “Had our daughter not brought shame to us, Anees would have been in jail by now.”

Antima’s mother claimed that she or her family never even spoke to their daughter after her marriage five years ago. She did not even know that her daughter Antima’s name has now become Bano.

When the OpIndia team was about to leave her house, Antima’s mother said, “I gave birth to her. We have a lot of pain inside our hearts. But we can’t do anything. She won’t be able to sustain long in that house. You only encourage her.”

For us, Suman is dead

After leaving Antima’s house, the OpIndia team reached Suman’s house. Suman is married to Azad Khan. Suman, a mother of 4 children, has now become Shabana.

The distance between Suman and Azad Khan’s house is just a few steps. Both are residents of the same village. Suman’s father’s name is Munna. We met Suman’s mother. She was sitting in front of the door. On hearing her daughter’s name, tears rolled down her eyes at first. Later, she said that for all of them, Suman was dead now.

Suman’s mother shared that her daughter had been attending school, during which time Azad Khan began to interact with her and started to follow her. They first crossed paths while Suman was on her way to school. Approximately 13 years ago, when Suman reached the age of 20, both of them got married.

Suman’s mother said that she then filed a case against Azad and fought the case from the police station to the court. However, in the end, Suman herself expressed her desire to live with Azad Khan in front of the court and the police.

Suman’s mother said that after that statement, she never even looked at Suman or her house. Suman’s mother accused her own daughter of insulting her whole family in society. She said that the action taken against Azad in the case of the assault on the woman constable or any other case before that does not make any difference to her or her family. However, it is not yet known whether the deceased Anees and Azad – injured in the encounter – have legally changed the names of their wives or if it is just an informal name change.

OpIndia spoke to a few others from Dashalawan village. They pleaded not to reveal their identity for security reasons. They said that they are afraid to share their identity. A Dalit woman said that many Hindu women in the village have come to the Muslim house after marriage. These girls are from other states including Delhi and Bihar. Recalling a 20-year-old case in the village, another woman told us that Maulvi Baba’s name had appeared in her marriage of a Hindu girl to a Muslim.

OpIndia has repeatedly underscored the gravity of grooming jihad in the past. This issue is not limited solely to developing countries like India, which have significant Muslim populations but also extends to developed nations such as France and Britain. In this variant of jihad, non-Muslim girls are subjected to brainwashing and psychological manipulation, convincing them not only to marry Muslim youths but also to forsake their previous lives and become slaves to those Muslims.

‘Trudeau made a huge mistake’: Former Pentagon official Michael Rubin says if USA has to choose, it will pick ‘elephant’ India over ‘ant’ Canada

0

Stating that Justin Trudeau’s allegations have led to “greater danger” for Canada than India, former Pentagon official Michael Rubin said that if the United States has to choose between Ottawa and New Delhi, it will surely choose the latter as the relationship is “too important”.

He said that India is far more important strategically than Canada is and Ottawa picking up a fight with India is like “an ant picking up a fight against an elephant”.

While referring to the poor approval ratings of Justin Trudeau, Rubin added that he is not long for the premiership, and the US can rebuild the relationship after he is gone.

“I suspect that the United States doesn’t want to be painted a corner to choose between two friends. But if we have to choose between two friends, increasingly we’re going to choose India on this matter, simply because Nijjar was a terrorist, and India is too important. Our relationship is too important,” Michael Rubin said while speaking to ANI.

“Justin Trudeau probably isn’t long for the Canadian premiership, and then we can rebuild the relationship after he’s gone,” he added.

Michael Rubin is a former Pentagon official and senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute Specialisation in Iran, Turkey, and South Asia.

Responding to the possibility of whether the US will publicly intervene in the matter, Rubin said, “Frankly, there’s a much greater danger for Canada than India. If Canada wants to pick a fight, frankly, at this point, it’s like an ant picking a fight against an elephant and the fact that matter is India is the world’s largest democracy. It’s far more important strategically, arguably than Canada is, especially as concern grows with regard to China and other matters in the Indian Ocean basin, and in the Pacific.”

The India-Canada ties soured further after Canadian PM Justin Trudeau alleged India’s role behind the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. This was followed by both countries expelling a senior diplomat in a tit-for-tat move.

However, India has out-rightly denied such allegations calling them ‘absurd’ and ‘motivated’.

Notably, the Canadian PM has failed to present any evidence to back his claims. Trudeau was repeatedly quizzed on the nature of the allegations but stuck to reiterating that there were “credible reasons” to believe that India was linked to the death of Nijjar.

The former Pentagon official further slammed Trudeau and said that Hardeep Singh Nijjar — A khalistani terrorist allegedly killed by his erstwhile comrades — is not a model to use for “human rights” and he was a terrorist involved in multiple attacks.

“Justin Trudeau might want to make this a case of human rights. The fact of that matter is, that Nijjar isn’t a model one wants to use for human rights. Nijjar may have been involved in the assassination of a rival Sikh leader, just a year ago. At the same time, he has blood on his hands through multiple attacks. He entered Canada with a fraudulent passport. And the fact of the matter is this is no Mother Teresa, we are talking about.

Rubin added that many of the US security community and even from Canadian security understand that Trudeau has gone “too far”.

On being asked if Trudeau converted a domestic political obstacle into a foreign policy issue, the former Pentagon official said that Trudeau was very “short-sighted” and was acting only as a “politician”.

“Yes, I absolutely do think that that is the case. Justin Trudeau was playing domestic Canadian politics because as he struggles in his re-election campaign, many Sikh activists are in crucial swing districts. But again, this isn’t something unique to Canada…I think Justin Trudeau was acting as a politician. He was very short-sighted, and no one should trade their short-term political convenience for the long-term relationship with the world’s largest democracy,” he added.

‘Shared intelligence’ from Five Eyes prompted Justin Trudeau to make those allegations against India: US ambassador to Canada

On Saturday (23 September), United States Ambassador to Canada David Cohen claimed that there was “shared intelligence among Five Eyes partners” that prompted Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to publicly allege that there could be a “potential” link of the government of India in the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar on Canadian soil, Canadian media CTV reported.

Apparently, the US ambassador to Canada Cohen made the claim in an exclusive interview on CTV’s Question Period with Vassy Kapelos which will air on Sunday (24 September). The Canadian media report added that Cohen confirmed that the shared intelligence emboldened the Canadian Prime Minister to make those absurd allegations against India on September 18 in the Canadian Parliament.

However, the report added that the US ambassador didn’t comment on whether the intelligence shared with their Canadian counterparts was both human and surveillance-based, or whether it included signals intelligence of Indian diplomats.

Regarding this, Cohen said, “There was shared intelligence among Five Eyes partners that helped lead Canada to make the statements that the Prime Minister made.”

Five Eyes is an intelligence alliance comprising Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States. These countries have signed a joint treaty for joint cooperation in signals intelligence.

Several reports in Western media including CBC and The Associated Press had claimed that the intelligence Trudeau was speaking of did not come from Canada alone. They stated that additional information was provided by an unspecified member of the Five Eyes intelligence-sharing alliance. It was also speculated that the US was the most likely source.

During the interview, US diplomat Cohen told CTV’s Kapelos that there was “a lot of communication” between Canada and the US.

Further, the US ambassador also denied the Washington Post report that asserted that weeks before Trudeau’s mischievous allegations against India, Canada had asked its closest allies, including the U.S. to publicly condemn the murder of Khalistani terrorist Nijjar. The report had categorically emphasised that Trudeau’s move was rebuffed by Canada’s Western allies.

While stating that he doesn’t like to comment on private diplomatic conversations, Cohen claimed, “Look, I will say this was a matter of shared intelligence information.”

He added, “There was a lot of communication between Canada and the United States about this, and I think that’s as far as I’m comfortable going.”

Interestingly, the Canadian representative responsible for the province (British Columbia) where the incident took place seems to have been kept in the dark regarding any of these developments.

Notably, yesterday, on Friday (22 September), two days after Justin Trudeau made the bizarre allegation, British Columbia Premier David Eby expressed frustration with the briefings by the Canadian intelligence agency in connection with the murder of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. He said that he was not given any information obtained from intelligence sources regarding the matter, and the information provided to him was in the public domain on the Internet.

Regarding the supposed intelligence Canada had to substantiate Trudeau’s allegations, Eby said, “The only briefings I’m able to receive from the CSIS (Canadian intelligence agency) are open information briefings or open source briefings which is information that’s available to the public doing an internet search – Which I found frustrating.”

His presser had highlighted that Trudeau sparked a diplomatic standoff with India, based on unfounded intelligence reports about the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, which are still under the purview of investigation by the Canadian Intelligence Agency (CSIS).

David Eby, who represents the New Democratic Party in Canada and is an ally of the Trudeau government, expressed frustration that the government was withholding information about the Khalistani terrorist.

He added that Trudeau reached out to him before speaking in the Parliament about the matter. The Premier of British Columbia emphasised, “I expressed my frustration in the meeting with the CSIS director about our inability to get more concrete information.”

He also sought reforms with the Canadian Intelligence Agency so that it can share more information with provincial leaders and not just open source, easily available material on the internet.

‘Ask not what you can do for your country, ask what’s for lunch!’ – Orson Welles

Almost 80 years ago, there used to be brass plate which had a rude message- ‘right of admission reserved’ outside many restaurants in CP (Connaught Place), oops Rajiv chowk now.

Angrez chalegaye, paar humari Angreziat Nahi gayi’ comes to your mind when you see such things. We read it in text books or some other writings here and there that the places where Gora sahibs and memsahibs dined used to have prominent boards outside saying that ‘Indians and dogs not allowed’. They said that to your face. Of course MK Gandhi was thrown out of the first class compartment of a train- the person who got us freedom as we were told.

I won’t get into discussing article15 (1, 2) of our constitution which now prevents any such restrictions to be imposed- great. However, we still have that ‘angrezi keeda’ lurking somewhere deep down in our hearts and heads.

You find it so funny that from a dhaba to five stars in India aka Bharat, we write on the Menu card – ‘Indian breads’ for tandoori roti, naan, paratha, kulcha, poori, missi roti, makki ki roti,Lachcha parantha, rumali roti (handkerchief bread?), bajare ki roti, jowar roti – for the love of the goras?- ‘bhai wo hamari bhasha nahi samajhteItna to socho’ goes the argument of chaploos argumentative Indian.

I don’t know how they understand pakora, daal bati choorma, samosa and chaat, golgappa, dahi bada, pao bhaji, maska pao, bhelpuri – try translating these! You will get bheja fry. By the way, Japanese PM Fumio Kishida on his earlier visit had golgappa after golgappa with PM Modi.

What about kabab aka kebab? What about choley kachori, Lucknow ka makhan and Varanasi ka malaiyo? These are exotic.

Such guys may still love Jee 20 instead of G20 as it sounds so subservient no? Unfortunately we still have that inferiority complex- which many may not easily agree to. Wearing Maanyavar brand instead of Marks and Spencer or ‘mochi’ shoes instead of ‘Christian Luboutin’ still does not help much. Made in USA or made in France still gives you a high and you have not quite reached there mentally- made in India. Lot of catching up, emotionally, mentally, and of course physically needs to be done. There used to be something known as made by USA, Ulhasnagar Sindhi Association as well.

Robert Redford said ‘Health food may be good for conscience but Oreos (biscuits please) taste a lot better’. We are so hung up on pronouncing even Italian cuisine perfectly- it is not pizza it is Peetza bro!

Lazania, lasagna or lasagna- the jury is still out. We take pride when we show off how many Italian dishes we know about- Risotto, Arancini, Polenta, Ossobuco, Spagheti ala Carbonara, Focaccia and many more. You may know nothing about these but you have to be purr-fect in pronouncing these lest you look down-market!

If you can decipher all these- like Risotti-, why can’t the firangi understand what is tandoori roti or much easier naan?

There are dozens of types of breads across the world. Let me guess some of these tongue twisters- Baguette, Bammy, Taiyaki, Hotteok, Pretzel, Ciabatta, Kentish Huffkin, Bap, Crumpet and let me stop here. These are mostly western stuff- but English Rotis for me.

We had to learn table manners and use ‘Churee Kanta’ properly- ‘Fork and knife’ yaar. You eat soup and don’t drink- wow. We take pride in eating with chops sticks. So Chineese-ish. We know what are dumplings, croissant, Quiche, Coq au vin and love French onion soup. Oh how English.

In Paris most of us may get horrified to know what is on the menu.

Sample these- L’oursin-sea Urchin, Escargots- snails, Le Cuisses de grenouille (frog legs), Tete de veau (Calf’s head) and it goes on. We love to flaunt knowing what is Ris de veau which is nothing but sweet breads and Tiramisu or Spanish Roscon de Reyes, Natillas,Flan or Leche frita.

My Roman holiday

In Rome I have to do as Romans do- yes I did. In fact I couldn’t. I went to a small bakery in Rome and I wanted to have a pizza. I wanted a chicken pizza and beef was a no no for me. I asked him for a chicken Pizza and said ‘no beef please’. The guy and another girl standing next to him gave a blank look. I said ‘Only chicken’ and he still looked dumb, now in fact dumber. I was hungry and wanted to eat something but he refused to even cooperate. I took a paper napkin and borrowing a pen drew a chicken as good as I could- still nothing! I drew a bull and put a cross on it- still no help. ‘Yeh kya ho raha hai bhai’ was my reaction. Either he was trying to be cheeky or something was drastically wrong. In the meantime, one guy walked in who spoke English and Italian both and help me get a chicken pizza.

I had another such experience in Paris too. Uzbekistan was a clincher. Four of us went to a very big well-lit restaurant with several cars parked outside. We thought it would be a good place to have dinner. Being a bit adventurous, we thought let’s try their local stuff. We could not understand a thing given on the menu. When we spoke to the waiter, he could not understand a word of English. We tried our luck with the manager and still no luck. Finally out of frustration, we walked out and picked up some cheese and bread from a small store to survive the night.

Why we bend backwards?

Before I forget, you know why we keep a quarter plate on the left of the full plate? Most won’t know. Let me explain, the English used knife and fork to slice up the roast chicken or a cutlet on their full plate and broke a piece of bun or bread from the quarter plate with their left hand- and that was the best layout of crockery on the dining table. We eat in a different way, we eat rotis and break a roti to make a morsel (girahin) and do that with right hand and then use the same to dip it in butter chicken or chicken curry from the full plate and put it in our mouth. For us, a quarter plate is better to be kept on the right but what angrez taught us, we still stick to the left and not right- right? So much for western table ‘manners’.

Yet, some eat masala dosa with fork and knife and Aloo paratha and samosa as well!

The India way

G20 dinner hosted for the delegates by president of Bharat had all vegetarian spread. From Mumbai Pao, paatram and chutney, Vanavarnam, Bakarkhani to Kashmiri kahwa and they loved it.

It is a wonderful beginning with a bang. We must teach what we eat and what we wear- world is one family.

‘So often these days Indian food passes for spirituality. I don’t meditate, but I eat two samosas every day!’ – Dan Bern

Indian Embassy to Saudi Arabia informs that 18 Indian soldiers stuck in Nishtun Port in Yemen have been rescued, will soon return to India

0

On Friday, September 22, the Indian Embassy to Saudi Arabia informed that the 18 soldiers who were stuck at Nishtun Port finally reached Aden safely and arrangements were being made to bring them back to India.

“With the relentless efforts of our Embassies in Riyadh & Dijibouti, for the past few weeks, 18 Indian sailors stuck at Nishtun Port finally reached Aden safely today. Their travel to India is being arranged soon. We thank the Yemen Govt & all local friends for their full support,” the Indian Embassy to Saudi Arabia wrote on X, formally Twitter, sharing pictures of the rescued soldiers.

Earlier in June, 16 Indian sailors held in Equatorial Guinea and Nigeria were released after nine months.
These 16 Indian sailors of the MT Heroic Idun ship had been stuck in Equatorial Guinea since August 13, 2022, allegedly for not displaying the Equatorial Guinean flag. They have been detained in Equatorial Guinea for over 80 days and fear arrest by the Nigerian Navy. Nigeria had accused them of oil theft.

In December 2022, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar told Lok Sabha that sailors were getting legal and consular support.

They eventually arrived at Kochi Airport in Kerala after a trial and settlement. At the Kochi Airport, they were greeted cordially by their family and Indian authorities.

ABVP sweeps 3 out of 4 seats in DUSU polls, NSUI bags VP post

0

The Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) has been coloured in saffron as the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) emerged victorious on three out of four seats in the polls. Students from 52 colleges and departments affiliated with Delhi University cast their votes on 22 September and the counting of votes was held on Saturday, 23 September.

DUSU elections were held for the post of Central Panel President, Vice President, Secretary, and Joint Secretary after a gap of three years. ABVP led on three seats excluding the post of Vice-President on which the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) got a lead.

Tushar Dedha won the President’s post, the Secretary’s post was claimed by Aparajita, and Sachin Baisla won the Joint Secretary’s position. Moreover, the ABVP got a sweeping victory in 34 college panels across various posts. Alka Chandela won as President in Bhagini College whereas Sanjini Tiwari emerged victorious as Vice-President, Suman as Secretary, and Aarti as Joint Secretary.

The party also registered a win in Vivekanand College, Aditi University, grabbed all six seats in Bhaskaracharya College, won four seats in Shradhanand College, and some in Keshav University. The party made a clean sweep in Delhi College of Arts and Commerce.

The elections to DUSU were held after four years and were stalled owing to the pandemic. The victory is historic for the ABVP as it will bring about a huge ideological shift on campuses in Delhi which were largely known for running anti-India narratives.

Moreover, the victory is a big embarrassment for the NSUI despite reigning in big guns, levelling charges of violence, and running propaganda to malign the ABVP. Notably, The NSUI in January had planned to screen the BBC’s propaganda documentary against PM Modi on campus. Safe to say, the loss of NSUI is the loss for BBC’s propaganda on campus and a loss for all such entities looking to malign India by manipulating impressionable minds.

Upar Randwa raj kar raha hai, neeche Pandwa: Haryana Congress chief Udai Bhan on PM Modi and CM Khattar, BJP asks if this is Muhabbat Ki Dukan

0

Congress has a history of using abusive and derogatory words against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On Saturday, September 23, BJP leaders accused Haryana Congress President Udai Bhan of abusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, after his comments on the two BJP leaders appeared on social media.

Kanchan Gupta, senior adviser to the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting shared the viral video of the Haryana Congress leader’s comments on PM Modi and CM Khattar and said that “garbage flows from Congress leaders’ mouths like filth flowing through a gutter.”

“Haryana Congress president, Nehru Dynasty loyalist and Rahul Gandhi fan Udai Bhan abusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi on camera. This kind of garbage flows from Congress leaders’ mouths like filth flowing through a gutter,” Gupta posted.

In the video clip, Bhan was heard calling PM Modi a “Randwa” because PM Modi is separated from his wife, and called Khattar a Pandwa because he is unmarried. The Congress leader said that the “Randwa” who killed his wife alive is ruling at the top (centre), and a “Panddwa” who does not know what it is like to have a home and family is ruling the bottom (state).

“The one ruling above (PM Modi) killed his wife while she is still alive and the one ruling below (CM Khattar) has no idea what it means to run a home and family (Upar Randwa raj kar raha hai, neeche Pandwa raj kar raha, usne apni biwi ko jeete ji maar dia or neeche wale ko pata hi nahin hai ki ghar pariwar kya hota hai),” Udai Bhan said.

The Congress leader made the abusive remarks against PM Modi and Haryana CM Khattar during a public meeting in Haryana’s Yamuna Nagar.

Taking a swipe at the Aam Aadmi Party, the Congress leader said that there is not a single constituency where the Aam Aadmi Party can even secure its deposit. He said that despite the entire top leadership of AAP including Delhi CM Kejriwal and Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann campaigning in Adampur, the party could not win the election and received merely 2.09 percent of votes.

BJP responds

Responding to the remarks by the Congress, BJP has asked whether this is the ‘Mohabbat Ki Dukaan’ that Rahul Gandhi keeps talking about.  BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla said that Congress was making a hue & cry about language, and now the party’s Haryana chief has used the most inexcusable, horrible language for PM and CM.

“Will the Congress sack him? Is this Muhabbat Ki Dukan? No this is Congress ke gaali galauj ka saaman,” Poonawalla tweeted.

“From abusing Modi samaj, to neech, Gangu teli, abusing PM parents, Raavan, Bhasmasur , k—-e ki maut, kabr khudegi Modi ki to this – Rahul Gandhi has only encouraged this language & behaviour ! Rahul Gandhi, Kharge ji & Sonia ji themselves have used worst abuses too Even Janta has been called Rakshas by Congress so this is their true character,” The BJP spokesperson added.

He further asked Rahul Gandhi if any action will be taken against Uday Bhan, or was Bhan speaking his script.

Haryana BJP president Om Prakash Dhankar said that the Congress leader has made a very unfortunate statement, and this has become the language of the Congress party. He also stated that Bhan has firm on his statement and is trying to justify it.

Rajya Sabha MP and BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi said that the language used by Udai Bhan defines pettiness in the politics of India. Trivedi said that Bhan was smiling while making the comments, which means it was not spoken in anger. “It is Congress’ venom under a well-planned policy”.

“When our MP used derogatory words in Parliament, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh not only stood up to express regret but also apologised to the opposition. Our party issued a notice to him… This is Congress’ official statement because a party’s president’s statement is official. What action has the Congress taken?” he said.

‘How many materials of hatred are there in the Muhabbat Dukaan of Rahul Gandhi’, asked Sudhanshu Trivedi.

Udai Bhan claims his language is not derogatory

When asked about the objection raised by the BJP leaders over his remarks, Udai Bhan claimed that his language was not derogatory, but only a popular way of talking in Haryana.

“BJP knows the art of diverting attention from real issues. I used the words in the context of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao. However, if anyone felt bad about it, I express regret. I only used Haryanvi, a language that is used jokingly. I stand by my statement,” Bhan said.

He said that what he said was the truth, there was no abuse, and he said nothing wrong. He said that Modi is living like a Randwa despite having a wife because he abandoned his wife years ago, and CM Khttar is not married. Therefore, Upar Randwa raj kar raha hai, niche Pandwa rah kar raha hai is the correct statement, he claimed.

Bhan claimed that what he said was true and BJP was exaggerating a small matter.

It is notable that while the word Randwa sounds similar to a highly derogatory word in Hindi that means prostitute, in Haryana, the word means a man whose wife has died or who is separated from his wife. It does not mean a male prostitute in Haryana. However, due to the similarity with the Hindi word for prostitute, and sounding like Hindi for gigolo, this word is considered an abusive word in the rest of India.

Even in Haryana, the word is not considered a polite word and is not used in formal discussions. Moreover, the need to bring out the marital status of a politician in a political argument is questionable, and it amounts to personal attacks.

Notably, this is not the first time that a Congress leader has launched an abusive and derogatory attack against PM Modi. In August this year, Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala called Prime Minister Modi an Asura (demon) and called the BJP voters as “Rakshas”.

On August 9, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi while speaking on the Motion of No-Confidence in the Lok Sabha during the Monsoon session of Parliament, came down heavily on the Prime Minister for not visiting Manipur and alleged that the PM does not consider the state to be part of India.

Further Gandhi compared the PM to Ravana and said that the prime minister listens to only two people, Amit Shah and Gautam Adani, “just as Ravan paid heed to only two.”

Also, on May 24 this year, Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury used abusive words for PM Modi calling him ‘pagala Modi’. Later the leader also blatantly issued a clarification over his ‘pagala Modi’ remark and said that he was simply “echoing the sentiments of the public and was voicing what the public was reacting already over the withdrawal of Rs 2000 notes”.

Several Congress leaders in the past have compared PM Modi to Hitler and some Congress leaders like Sheikh Hussain even declared that PM Modi will die a dog’s death.

In Begusarai, Bihar, protests broke out on September 23 over purported vandalism of Shivling and a Hindu temple by hooligans belonging to the ‘Samuday Vishesh’ community, a report published in Jagran said. Angry protesters blocked roads, disrupted traffic, and hurled stones at the police in protest against the vandalism.

In the aftermath of the incident, the demonstrators razed the residences of the individuals believed to be responsible for desecrating the Hindu temple at Khatopur Chowk in Begusarai. A resident of Begusarai expressed, “Last night, a Shivalinga was desecrated. We are calling for a thorough investigation.”

Prompted by the misconduct, District Magistrate Roshan Kushwaha and Superintendent of Police Yogendra Kumar, accompanied by senior officials, promptly arrived at the protest site to quell the demonstration. Addressing the situation, Kushwaha affirmed that the police have identified the wrongdoers and are on track to apprehend them. “An investigation is currently in progress,” he further stated.

Members of ‘Samuday Vishesh’ responsible for the vandalism of the temple and Shivling: Locals

Local residents allege that members of ‘Samuday Vishesh’ gather in the temple to consume alcohol. They further contaminate the sacred premises by consuming non-vegetarian food near the religious site and disposing of the remains in the vicinity. The locals assert that they had accosted the accused on multiple occasions but they did not heed their requests. They alleged that members of a particular community had gathered in the temple and consumed alcohol last night, causing damage to the deity.

The residents also asserted that they were abused for asking the accused to stop consuming alcohol and meat inside the temple premises. They further claimed that even though the accused had been identified, the police were not taking any action.

Union Minister Giriraj Singh lashes out at INDI alliance over increasing attacks on Hinduism

In the aftermath of the incident, Giriraj Singh, the Member of Parliament for Begusarai and a Union Minister, arrived at the scene and alleged that the district administration and the governing authorities were conspiring to perpetrate injustices against the Hindu communities.

“The district administration is actively shielding the accused and displaying negligence in handling the situation. Upon careful consideration, it appears that the I.N.D.I Alliance is bent on eradicating Sanatan Dharma. We are aware that miscreants were involved in the desecration of the Shivalinga,” remarked the union minister, subtly criticizing the Bihar government led by CM Nitish Kumar.

‘Father was in army, won’t buckle under pressure’: Manish Kashyap lambasts Bihar govt outside court, asks why NSA not slapped on Udhayanidhi Stalin

On September 22, Friday, a video emerged on social media wherein the Bihar-based YouTuber Manish Kashyap, who has been languishing in jail for the last 6 months, could be seen lambasting the Bihar government for the mistreatment he was being subjected to by the jail authorities working at the behest of CM Nitish Kumar.

Infuriated by the arbitrary action he has been facing at the hands of the Bihar police, the Youtuber declared that no matter how hard the Bihar government tries to break him, he will not buckle under the pressure.

The video which has now gone viral on social media is from outside a court in Patna where he was produced yesterday (September 22, Thursday).

Bihar-based YouTuber Manish Kashyap was arrested in March this year in a case related to the ‘fake videos’ of attacks on Bihar migrant workers in Tamil Nadu. The YouTuber was slapped with the stringent National Security Act (NSA) and is currently housed in the Beur jail in Patna, Bihar.

In the video, Manish Kashyap appears to get emotional at first when he sees his mother, Madhu Devi, who is waiting outside the court to see her son. “Today, there are tears in my mother’s eyes,” the YouTuber tells the press, “but I promise, once I’m out of here, I will wipe the tears of lakhs of mothers.”

The Youtuber then throws an open challenge before the Bihar government saying, “I am the son of an armyman. My father and grandfather both served in the army. I will die but not bend before them. They have handcuffed an innocent person. I have reacted in the last 6 months but now I shall not keep quiet. I will get scared, won’t buckle under the pressure,” Manish Kashyap asserted.

Further targeting Bihar’s former CM and fodder scam convict Lalu Yadav, the Youtuber was seen shouting, “I am not the son of a fodder thief, my father and grandfather served the country. My grandfather fought against China, while my father battled against the Pakistani army. When they did not get scared, what made them think that I would get scared of these netas (leaders), that too in our independent country and the independent state of Bihar?

When questioned whether the Bihar government should take action against those who mistreated Bihari labourers in Tamil Nadu, Manish Kashyap fumed saying that ideally it should be done but does the Bihar police have the courage to act against them? he asked. If they do, let them arrest the accused, bring them here and put them behind bars, he exclaimed.

Further condemning the Bihar administration for its selective targeting, Manish Kashyap brought up the demolition of a bridge worth Rs 1700 crore in Bhagalpur and the death of a sub-inspector in Samastipur and questioned why the Nitish government had not taken action in these cases.

He also attacked Tejashwi Yadav, claiming that the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar publicly slanders other caste communities while batting for the Yadav caste, yet his mouth is always tied when people of the Yadav community fall prey to the caste-based killing in Bihar.

Drugs being smuggled into jail with help of police officials: Manish Kashyap lambasts Nitish Kumar govt for poor governance

Further, speaking on the difficulties he has been facing in Patna’s Beur jail where he has been housed, the YouTuber said that smuggling of narcotics and other contraband items into the jail in connivance with prison officials is passe in Bihar. He lamented how he has been kept with drug addicts inside the jail who purposely blow smoke on his face to harass him. “I get a headache,” Manish Kashyap lamented.

He added that most lower-ranking police officers in the state are honest in contrast to the ones with one or two stars are the ones who are most corrupt. Yet it is the junior officers who get suspended and the seniors steer clear of disciplinary action.

“Every parent in Bihar is worried today,” Manish Kashyap remarked. Further stressing the poor administration in the state of Bihar under the ruling government, Manish Kashyap pointed to the police vans standing outside the court and asserted how they were in all in terrible condition and urgently needed repairs. He stated that the one in which he was brought to the court had suddenly stopped on the road and that people had to physically push it because it was carrying almost 60 detainees.

Claiming that further FIRs will be filed against him in order to silence him, the YouTuber stated that while Bihar workers are being attacked and killed in TM, the Bihar government is remaining silent and instead utilizing its resources to suppress him.

Manish Kashyap further stated that no one is safe in Bihar now and that journalists’ lives are at risk. He asked President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to transfer his case outside Bihar or Tamil Nadu because he wouldn’t get justice here. He claimed that the liquor ban had transformed the youth of Bihar into ‘ganjedis’ (adicts).

Mother of Manish Kashyap writes to President Murmu, questions the discrimination faced by her son

It may be recalled that recently, Madhu Devi, the mother of YouTuber Manish Kashyap wrote a letter to President Droupadi Murmu raising questions over the National Security Act (NSA) invoked against her son by the Tamil Nadu police for allegedly fueling tensions between two states while no such action taken against DMK leader and state minister Udhaynidhi Stalin who called for the “eradication of Sanatan Dharma”, posing an even greater threat to national security.

Manish Kashyap’s mother demanded that if the constitution is same for all then even Udhaynidhi Stalin should be booked under the NSA too. Moreover, she demanded that an independent committee formed by the Supreme Court should investigate the video of the migrant Bihari labourers.

Manish Kashyap’s arrest

Earlier this year, on 18 March, the Police arrested YouTuber Manish Kashyap aka Tripurari Kumar Tiwari from Bihar in connection with the alleged attacks on migrant workers in Tamil Nadu. A special team of the Tamil Nadu police brought him to the southern state on transit remand after the Madurai Crime Branch police registered a case against him.

Back then, it was reported that Kashyap had tweeted a ‘fake video’ of the attacks on migrant workers from Bihar in Tamil Nadu which went viral over social media. However, the video was created by the main accused Rakesh Ranjan Kumar, a native of Gopalganj district in rented accommodation in Patna. Later, the Tamil Nadu police slapped stringent NSA on Kashyap. He has been in jail since then despite moving bail petitions multiple times.
