Madhya Pradesh: Congress workers scuffle in a rally of Jan Aakrosh Yatra in Ujjain

0

On 23rd September a video from a rally in the Jan Aakrosh Yatra organised by Congress in Ujjain surfaced in which Congress workers were seen fighting with each other. Congress leader Jitu Patwari who was present there to address the rally had to intervene and pacify the situation. Congress party has taken a Jan Aakrosh Yatra in Madhya Pradesh to counter the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party’s Jan Aashirwad Yatra in the poll-bound state.

In the incident that took place at the Nagra town of the Ujjain district, there was a verbal spat between two Congress workers in the rally over going on the stage. Senior Congress leader Jitu Patwari was also present on the stage at this time.

What began with a verbal argument soon broke out as a full-blown scuffle. Several other Congress workers joined this scuffle that erupted in the Jan Aakrosh Yatra’s rally. The clash broke out right in front of the stage. Jitu Patwari had to intervene to stop this clash.

Madhya Pradesh is about to undergo a state assembly election after a few weeks. Congress has taken out a Jan Aakrosh Yatra to challenge the Bharatiya Janata Party covering the state with a Jan Aashirwad Yatra. Scuffles and hooliganism have become an identity of the Congress campaign. A day before, on 22nd September, Congress supporters were seen brandishing guns and other weapons ahead of a Congress rally in the Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh.

In fact, during the Congress’s Jan Aakrosh Yatra, supporters of the Congress leader took out a gun rally. The supporters were carrying weapons as if they were going to fight. Congress leader Pramod Choudhari is an aspirant MLA candidate from the Mehgaon constituency in the Bhind district. He was seen leading this rally. This rally was also a part of the Jan Aakrosh Yatra. Now, a scuffle between Congress workers is seen in a rally in Ujjain.

There is no history in new Parliament House: Sanjay Raut criticises the new building

Days after the new building of the Parliament became operational, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) leader Sanjay Raut attacked the Modi government for constructing a Parliament House with no ‘history.’

While speaking to the media on Sunday (September 24), he said, “As Jairam Ramesh told us, the new Parliament building is a mega show…Some say it is a 5-star, 7-star hotel…I have written in Saamana about my experience in the new Parliament House…It does not feel like a historical building.”

“I have been a Parliamentarian for over 20 years. When I used to visit the old Parliament, I felt like a part of history. This new Parliament building has neither present nor past…As Jairam Ramesh said, it is Modi multiplex, which is similar to multiplexes in Delhi and Mumbai,” Raut claimed.

Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) MP further remarked, “Abuses were hurled on the very first day of the proceedings of the new Parliament…The sanctity of the building is destroyed…PM Modi, Parliamentary Affairs Minister and Home Minister are silent.”

“Did you convert this building into a new den of goons? There is no lobby, corridor or Central Hall…The thought of a new Parliament building propped up in the mind of the king…It was the emperor’s Mann ki Baat…So he created this new Modi multiplex,” Sanjay Raut brazened it out.

Congress blames architecture, AC of the new Parliament

On Saturday (September 23), Congress leader Jairam Ramesh attacked the Modi government for constructing a compact and claustrophobic building.

While taking to X (formerly Twitter), he claimed, “Binoculars are needed to see each other since the halls are simply not cozy or compact. The old Parliament building not only had a certain aura but it facilitated conversations,”

Hinting at a larger conspiracy into the architecture of the building, Jairam Ramesh said “It was easy to walk between Houses, the Central Hall, and the corridors. This new one weakens the bonding needed to make the running of Parliament a success. Quick coordination between the two Houses is now exceedingly cumbersome.”

“The old building gave you a sense of space and openness while the new one is almost claustrophobic…The new complex is painful and agonising,” the Congress leader remarked.

Soon after, other Congress leaders came up with more bizarre criticism of the new Parliament building. Party MP Pramod Tiwari said, “In a country like India, to fully air-condition the Parliament house is unscientific and impractical. There was a lobby, a central hall in the old Parliament…”

While accusing the Modi government of turning the building into a 7-star hotel, Tiwari claimed, “The openness that was in the old Parliament building was more scientific, more practical and good for the health…I know about 50 MPs who got ill due to the air conditioning there..”

French rapper Mohamed Sylla aka MHD gets 12 years in jail for murder

On Saturday, September 23, the French rapper Mohamed Sylla, popularly known as MHD, was sentenced to 12 years in jail in a 2018 case. A 23-year-old man named Loic K was killed in a gang fight involving rapper MHD and several others in Paris on that fateful day.

MHD’s Mercedes knocked down the 23-year-old victim, who was subsequently assaulted and stabbed to death by a mob comprising around twelve people on July 5th, 2018, in the 10th arrondissement (administrative district) of Paris.

Five of MHD’s co-defendants were also sentenced to prison for the murder, receiving sentences ranging from 10 to 18 years for what authorities described as a fight pertaining to “gang rivalry”. While three others were acquitted, all those convicted had pleaded not guilty. The convicts, including rapper MHD, have 10 days to appeal against the ruling.

Known for his “Afro trap” music, rapper MHD persisted in claiming innocence in his concluding words before the court. “From the beginning, I have maintained my innocence in this case and I will continue to maintain my innocence,” MHD said.

While the French rapper denied being at the site of the murder, claiming that the evidence against him was based on gossip, a nearby homeowner filmed the incident from his window in the summer of 2018, and the car was instantly recognised as MHD’s. Meanwhile, other witnesses identified MHD because of his haircut and a jumper.

A day after the murder, the car was discovered abandoned and burned out in a parking lot. Juliette Chapelle, a lawyer representing the victim’s family, stated after the verdict, “A judicial truth emerged despite the law of silence.”

Notably, the prosecutor had sought an 18-year prison sentence for Mohammad Sylla, acquittal for two of the defendants, and sentences ranging from 13 to 20 years in prison for the others.

The murder took place in the Cite des Chaufourniers, an estate in the neighbourhood where MHD worked as a pizza delivery boy and continued to visit despite becoming a music star later on.

Pakistan: 14-year-old girl shoots dead father Bilal Khan after he raped her for over 3 months

0

In a piece of shocking news from Pakistan, a 14-year-old girl shot dead her father named Bilal Khan at 6 am on 23 September who raped her for over last three months in the country’s Punjab province. The horrifying incident, according to the police, transpired in Lahore’s Gujjarpura neighbourhood.

The minor revealed her trauma in sickening detail in a statement to the authorities including how the accused had been sexually abusing her for the previous three to four months. She informed the police that she had grown tired of being regularly violated by him and had ultimately made up her mind to murder the incestuous man.

Police officer Sohail Kazmi, who is investigating the case stated, “She said she was going through hell and decided to kill her rapist father and hence shot him dead using his gun.” The perpetrator who was a tailor by profession passed away instantly. The official further added, “A case would be registered against the suspect after investigating all aspects.”

While the offender was asleep, the victim used a pistol and the bullet struck his head which proved to be fatal. The booming sound of the gunshot woke up the family. They were initially unable to understand what had happened. However, when they became aware of the occurrence, they reportedly made an effort to avoid informing the police who were eventually notified by a neighbour at noon.

The girl, her mother, brother, and a neighbour were all apprehended by senior police officers who arrived at the crime site, including Superintendent of Police of Civil Lines Hassan Bhatti. Police started their inquiries into the situation while considering various perspectives. The minor unveiled the gruesome information about her ordeal when they interrogated her. Cops claimed to have recovered the gun.

The case gained attention a day after a Pakistani court sentenced an individual to death for sexually assaulting his 14-year-old minor girl. The instance occurred on 31 March 2019 at around 8:30 in the morning.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Mian Shahid Javed of the Gender-Based Violence Court Lahore sentenced culprit M. Rafique to death on 22 September for raping his teenage daughter. According to the court’s order, the magnitude of the action merits the punishment’s severity.

The judge noted, “A father is always considered a natural guardian and protector of his children, and if a daughter is harmed by someone outside the house, she turns to her father, considering him her guardian. But in this case, the real father, by committing incest, has destroyed the personality, soul, and body of his own minor daughter. The minor has suffered a psychological disaster,” while pronouncing the order.

UP: Teacher Hafiz Irfan rapes 9-year-old girl student inside madarsa in Muzaffarnagar

0

On Saturday, September 23, in the Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh, a case of a madarsa teacher raping a nine-year-old girl student has come to light. The accused, identified as Hafiz Irfan, raped the minor girl who used to attend the madarsa in Budhana. Accused Hafiz raped the minor girl until she fell unconscious, subsequently, he fled the spot assuming that the girl has died. After regaining consciousness, the victim somehow went back to her home in a bloodied state and narrated her ordeal to her sister and other family members.

Reportedly, the matter pertains to the Bhasana village under the Budhana police station where the minor girl studied at the Noorjahan Masjid madarsa in the Safipur Patti area. Accused Hafiz Irfan took the victim to another room on the pretext of cleaning it when she arrived at the madarsa. As the minor girl was alone, the accused madarsa teacher brutally raped the minor girl until she fell unconscious. The accused assumed that the girl had died and he ran away from the madarsa. However, the victim later regained consciousness and managed to return to her home.

After the victim informed her family about the heinous deed of Hafiz Irfan, the minor victim’s family members reached the police station and lodged a complaint against the accused. Subsequently, the police registered a case against the accused madarsa teacher under section 376 of the IPC and POCSO Act.

Meanwhile, Phugana Circle Officer Yatendra Singh Nagar confirmed the incident and said that a case had been registered against accused Hafiz Irfan. CO Nagar added that efforts are on to nab the absconding accused. An ETV Bharat report, however, claims that the accused has been arrested. The police said that the minor victim was sent for a medical examination, however, looking at the serious state of the victim, she was referred to Meerut.

‘No specific proof shared’ – Indian officials say as they engage with partners over Khalistani terrorist Nijjar’s killing in Canada

On 24th September, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said Canada had not shared any specific proof of Indian involvement in the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar on Canadian soil. “No specific information has been shared by Canada on the [Hardeep Singh Nijjar killing case], either then, before, or after… We have, you know, as we have said, or I think we have made very clear, we are willing to look at any specific information,” the Ministry said.

The statement came after the United States called on India to cooperate in the Canadian probe into the so-called “credible allegations” that Indian agents were involved in Nijjar’s murder.

Indian officials said they have engaged with the partners, but Canada is yet to provide any specific evidence of India’s involvement in the murder.

Reportedly, United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken acknowledged that the US had been closely consulting and coordinating with the Canadian authorities over the matter. Notably, when asked if President Joe Biden talked to Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the allegations directly, Blinken refused to comment. He said the US “has been engaged directly with the Indian Government”.

“I think the most productive thing that can happen now is to see this investigation move forward, be completed. And we would hope that our Indian friends would cooperate. We are extremely vigilant about any instances of alleged transnational repression, something we take very, very seriously,” he added.

Trudeau opened a can of worms with allegations against India over Nijjar’s killing

On 19th September, Canada’s PM Trudeau accused India of killing Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar on Canadian soil. Canada expelled a senior Indian diplomat as a result of the allegations. The allegations against India opened a can of worms as the allied countries of Canada refused to issue a joint statement against India. Furthermore, India denied the allegations and expelled a Canadian diplomat in retaliation.

India has also stopped issuing visas to Canadian citizens following the allegations and trade talks between India and Canada have halted after the allegations. It has been recently revealed by the Indian authorities that India has shared credible evidence with Canada about wanted criminals and terrorists living on its soil. India has repeatedly raised the issue of increasing Khalistani activities in Canada that were completely ignored. Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun was seen in Canada giving speeches at the so-called referendum for Khalistan while Trudeau was attending G20 Summit in India.

Recently, it was also revealed that Hardee Singh Nijjar was on the US No Fly list and TSA, which raised questions about why Canada has become a safe haven for designated terrorists and organised crimes, as mentioned by the MEA in a statement.

Congress appoints YouTuber Avi Dandiya, who spread fake news about Pulwama terror attack, as Overseas Congress social media chief

On Saturday (September 23), YouTuber Avi Dandiya took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce that he has been appointed as the chief-in-charge of the social media of the Indian Overseas Congress (IOC).

In a tweet, he said, “Thank you to Rahul Gandhi, Sam Pitroda, Virendra Vashist and all in Congress and Overseas Congress for appointing me as Chief In-Charge of IOC social media worldwide. Game on Pawan Khera and Supriya Shrinate.”

“Thank you so much, everyone. It’s game time, ” the YouTuber said in another tweet. Avi Dandiya is said to be close to pro-Aam Aadmi Party vlogger Dhruv Rathee and was earlier booked by Delhi police for spreading fake news about the Pulwama terror attack.

In March 2019, the Delhi police registered an FIR against Avi Dandiya under the Indian Penal Code Sections 465 and 469 after he had published a fake video, claiming it to be a conversation between Home Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP President Amit Shah and an unidentified woman.

In the video, it could be heard that three people were discussing a ‘plot’ for the Pulwama terror attack, which claimed the lives of 44 CRPF soldiers on February 14, 2019.

The malicious audio clip was created by taking parts of old interviews/audio clips of politicians and using them out of context to make it appear like one telephonic conversation.

Just days after the Pulwama terror attack, the YouTuber conducted a poll on X (formerly Twitter) to falsely allege that the Pulwama terror attack was an inside job.

Prior to being made the chief-in-charge of the social media of the Indian Overseas Congress (IOC), Avi Dandiya was seen hailing Rahul Gandhi on social media.

In a tweet on Thursday (September 21), he lauded Rahul Gandhi for his ‘coolie stunt‘ at the Anand Vihar ISBT in Delhi.

After cancelling trade talks with the world’s 5th largest economy India, Canadian PM Justin Trudeau signs FTA with war-torn Ukraine

0

On Friday (22 September), Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau signed an updated Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and several other bilateral agreements with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during the latter’s working visit to Canada.

Taking to X, Trudeau claimed that the modernised FTA with war-torn Ukraine would give more access to Canadian businesses that would be engaged in the economic recovery of Ukraine.

He said, “We’ve just signed the modernised Canada-Ukraine Free Trade Agreement. This deal supports long-term security, stability, and economic development in Ukraine – and helps ensure high-quality market access for Canadian businesses participating in Ukraine’s economic recovery.”

According to the official website of Ukraine’s President, the FTA will facilitate the creation of a new favourable climate for economic relations between the two countries. It will also help in the development of trade in goods and services, investment, and the formation of a developed competitive market economy in line with national priorities.

It will also lead to the development of its key industries, the implementation of systemic reforms, and the improvement of the overall well-being of the population.

Zelenskyy who visited the US earlier this week to address the UN General Assembly in Washington, landed in Ottawa, Canada’s Capital on Friday where he addressed the Canadian Parliament.

Zelenskyy thanked Canada for its assistance in the war against Russia, stating that Ottawa’s aid had helped save thousands of lives. He said, “Canada is one of our biggest donors, that’s very important”.

He added that he was very grateful to Canada for “the decision to join F-16 pilot training” of Ukrainian soldiers.

Notably, he made this remark in the backdrop of an announcement made by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau earlier in the day on Friday where he said that Canada “will direct instructors to train Ukrainian pilots and service personnel on the F-16s.”

Regarding several other agreements and bilateral issues, Trudeau said that Canada and Ukraine have agreed to establish a working group with G7 partners to study the seizure and forfeiture of Russian assets, including from the Russian Central Bank.

Further, Canada has pledged to stand with Ukraine in the ongoing war against Russia and give 650 million Canadian dollars in new military assistance over the next three years. It will also provide Ukraine with 50 armoured vehicles, 35 drones with high-resolution cameras, light vehicles, and ammunition as part of the intended support package.

He added that Canada also plans to contribute funds for Ukraine’s national war memorial and money to increase the availability of mental health support at the appropriate time.

Interestingly, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is currently in the dock in his own country for starting an unwarranted diplomatic war with the world’s fifth-largest economy, India, and halting the FTA negotiations indefinitely. Even before Trudeau had accused New Delhi of murdering Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada, the Canadian government had halted the trade negotiation with India due to disagreements on “certain issues”.

Canada also cancelled a trade mission to India scheduled for October, and the sources had said that objections over “certain political developments” in Canada were the reason for the pause in the negotiations. It has now been confirmed that Canada cancelled the trade mission because India objected to growing Khalistani activities in Canada.
