Lawless San Francisco: CashApp creator Bob Lee stabbed to death as city suffers from ‘Defund The Police’ political campaign, Musk calls it zombie-land

Entrepreneur and the founder of ‘Cash App,’ Bob Lee, was stabbed to death on Tuesday (April 4 Pacific Daylight Time) morning. The incident took place in the Rincon Hill neighbourhood in San Francisco city of California in the United States.

Although Lee lived in Miami, he was reportedly in San Francisco on a business trip. The 43-year-old suffered multiple stab wounds during the attack and was attended by medics initially at the crime scene.

Bob Lee was later rushed to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. As per a statement by the San Francisco Police Department, no arrests have been made so far in connection to the case.

In a tweet, former Mixed-Martial Arts (MMA) fighter Jake Shields wrote, “I just found out my good friend was killed last night while walking him in San Francisco. He was in the “good” part of the city and appeared to have been targeted in a random mugging/attack. Fuck San Francisco”

“I didn’t want to be the one to leak the name but now it’s out. Bob Lee is an extremely high-profile tech guy so hopefully, this will at least bring attention to these problems,” he further added.

While reacting to the development, Tesla CEO Elon Musk wrote, “Very sorry to hear that. Many people I know have been severely assaulted. Violent crime in SF is horrific and even if attackers are caught, they are often released immediately.”

He also demanded stringent action against such repeat offenders from the San Francisco District Attorney, Brooke Jenkins.

Lawlessness, drug abuse epidemic in San Francisco

Earlier this month, Elon Musk had raised concerns about the lawlessness in San Francisco city.

In a tweet on Saturday (April 1), the billionaire stated, “You could literally film a Walking Dead episode unedited in downtown SF. This is where San Francisco politics leads and Twitter was exporting this self-destructive mind virus to the world.”

“With some exceptions, other tech companies are still doing so. Evil in guise of good,” he emphasised.

San Francisco Mayor led a campaign to ‘Defund The Police’

It must be mentioned that the Mayor of San Francisco, London Breed (2018- Present), led a campaign to ‘defund the police’ following the death of an African-American man named George Floyd that had led to widespread riots and violence in the USA ahead of the 2020 elections.

In a tweet (archive) in June 2020, she claimed, “Decades of disinvestment and racially disparate policies have disproportionately hurt our African-American community in SF.

“Supervisor Shamann Walton and I will lead the effort to redirect funding from the San Francisco Police Department to support the African-American community in the upcoming budget,” Breed announced.

Screengrab of the tweet by London Breed

As per reports, the San Francisco Mayor decreased the budget of the SPFD by $120 million in July 2020. A year later in December 2021, she made a U-turn on her political campaign.

As per reports, the SFPD is severely understaffed and unprepared to deal with the rising crimes and drug abuse problem in the city. Journalist and author Michael Shellenberger, who has written a book named San Fan-sicko’, shared, “San Francisco is in free fall. We don’t know who killed your friend (Bob Lee), but we know homicides are up 20% & drug ODs up 18%.”

He added that Mayor Breed and Governor Newsom need to call the National Guard to maintain law and order in the city.

London Breed sought funds from the city’s Board of Supervisors to crack down on open-air drug dealing, retail theft and car break-ins. In April this year, she asked help from federal agencies to curb the drug crisis in San Francisco, caused due to police understaffing.

“My hope is we can partner and work together to address this important issue…We definitely need help. When we look at the police department, it is short-staffed. Arrests — there’s a whole process that goes into that. Having the capacity to meet the challenges has been difficult,” she said in a letter.

Man bites off snake’s head in Tamil Nadu as revenge, video goes viral, watch

In a disturbing incident that has shocked the people of Tamil Nadu, India, three men were arrested after one of them named Mohan bit off the head of a snake in an act of revenge, claiming that the snake had bitten his hand. The incident, which was recorded on video by his friends and shared on Facebook, has sparked outrage and led to the arrest of three individuals.

The three men, Mohan, Surya and Santosh, who are all Kainur residents, are charged with torturing and killing the reptile while simultaneously documenting the incident.

Mohan is seen holding the snake in the video and yelling that it bit his hand and that he would exact revenge. Mohan refuses to comply with their requests to leave the snake alone and bites off its head. As they get a close-up of the snake’s gushing body and dislocated head on camera, the three people can be heard giggling. The video of the man biting the snake can be seen from 10 seconds in the video embedded down below.

In a video that went viral on social media, Mohan can be seen holding the snake with his bare hands and angrily biting off its head, while his friends recorded the incident and shared it online. In the video, Mohan claims that the snake had bitten his hand earlier, and he was exacting revenge. As one can see, the snake’s decapitated head also keeps on moving for a few seconds after being separated from rest of its body.

The video quickly gained traction on social media, drawing widespread condemnation for the inhumane act. Animal rights activists and concerned citizens raised their voices against such cruelty towards animals and called for strict action against Arjun and his friends.

Arcot Ranger was alerted to the event and was able to apprehend the suspects. Animal cruelty and killing a wild animal are the charges in a case that has been filed against the men.

Anti-Hindu and anti-India activities in Canada

The anti-Hindu and anti-India elements, especially pro-Khalistani living in Canada, have been actively attacking Hindu and Indian government establishments in the country. In February 2023, Ram Temple in Mississauga, Canada, was attacked. In January this year, the Hindu temple in Brampton was attacked. Since the Punjab government and central agencies initiated a crackdown on pro-Khalistani separatist leader Amritpal Singh, pro-Khalistanis living in Canada and in other countries have attacked and protested outside the Indian government’s establishments in the respective countries.

‘Lethargic attitude’: Allahabad High Court slams ASI for delay in filing response about a scientific evaluation of Shivling inside Gyanvapi disputed site

On Thursday (April 5), the Allahabad High Court reprimanded [pdf] the Director General of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) for the delay in giving her opinion about the feasibility of carbon dating of Shivling found inside the Gyanvapi mosque.

The matter came up for hearing before Justice Arvind Kumar Mishra-I. He noted that the ASI exceeded the last date for submitting its report, which has in turn hampered the proceedings of the court.

“Certainly this lethargic attitude on the part of the Director General, Archaeological Survey of India is highly deplorable and such practice must be deprecated. The desired report has not been submitted though directed since last November 2022,” the Allahabad High Court observed.

It further added, “A high authority holding post of Director General, Archaeological Survey of India, controlling particular administration all over the country must know seriousness of the matter and ought to respect the orders of the Court, primarily of higher Courts.”

“Things cannot be kept pending for long when the matter has the element of high publicity all over the country. This Court will not permit any authority to occasion delay on the pretext of the submission of the desired report,” the court reprimanded the ASI Director-General.

Justice Arvind Kumar Mishra -I has now extended the last date for submitting the desired report to April 17, 2023.

The timeline of the case

Following the discovery of Shivling inside the premises of Gyanvapi Mosque on May 16, 2022, the Supreme Court of India directed the Varanasi district magistrate to protect the sacred structure.

On October 14, 2022, the Varanasi district court turned down the petition of the Hindu side, which demanded a scientific evaluation of the Shivling (citing the Supreme Court interim verdict).

A revision petition by one Laxmi Devi and three others was filed before the Allahabad High Court, challenging the verdict of the Varanasi District Court. The petitioners had demanded a scientific evaluation of the Shivling through Carbon Dating, excavation and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR).

On November 21, 2022, the court directed the ASI Director General to give her opinion about the feasibility of such an exercise.

It stated, “…whether investigation of the structure found at site, subject matter of Original Suit No.18 of 2022 if examined through the methods of Carbon Dating, Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), Excavation and other methods adopted to determine its age, nature and other relevant information is likely to damage it or a safe evaluation about its age can be done.”

Since November last year, the Director General of the Archaeological Survey of India had been delaying filing a response to the court’s query. On March 20, 2023, the High Court gave an ultimatum to the ASI to file its response on or before April 5 (which has now been extended to April 17, 2023).

In Uttarakhand’s Roorkee, two groups of Muslims clashed over performing namaz on Wednesday, April 5. The two groups pelted stones and also thrashed each other. The stone pelting incident left four injured. Police had to intervene to bring the situation under control.

The incident took place in Sarkadi village of Gangnahar police station precinct. Following the violent clashes, an additional police force has been deployed in the affected area.

On Wednesday evening, two groups, one led by Sahil and the other by Shakib, exchanged accusations of disrupting the namaz at the local mosque. This led to an argument that eventually turned violent and entailed stone-pelting as more people arrived at the spot. During the violence four people namely, Danish, Shamsher, Imarana, and Haseen were injured. After learning about the incident a police team arrived and took control of the situation by dispersing the crowd using lathis. The injured are getting treatment at Civil Hospital.  It has been reported that the condition of Danish is critical and he has been referred to a higher center.

Meanwhile Swapn Kishor Singh, SP Dehat said that the police have received complaints from both the clashing parties and a case is being registered accordingly. Meanwhile, police station in-charge Aishwarya Pal informed that seven people have been arrested so far.

‘When you are in Congress, you are spineless’: Former Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad lashes out at book launch, lambasts Rahul Gandhi

On April 5, former Congress leader and chief of Democratic Progress Azad Party Ghulam Nabi Azad lashed out at Congress Party, specifically at disqualified Congress MP Rahul Gandhi for tearing down the ordinance that was binned in 2013 after Gandhi protested. Azad was in conversation with India Today’s Rajdeep Sardesai at the launch event of his book ‘Azaad’ where he remarked, “If you are in Congress, you are spineless”.

During the conversation, Azad said when the ordinance was tabled in 2013 to save the lawmakers from immediate disqualification if convicted and sentenced in a court case, Rahul Gandhi opposed it. He was not even a member of the cabinet at that time. Calling it unfortunate, Azad said the cabinet should have stuck to the ordinance and not bowed down to Gandhi’s protest.

Azad pointed out that Gandhi was not in any legal position to do what he did, as no outsider could reject the ordinance the way he did. Only the President of the country can strike down the ordinance, not a member of the parliament. However, the cabinet collectively decided to go with binning the ordinance after Rahul opposed it. “Look now, the one who cut it is applied on him,” he said.

Azad said when a political party in power makes some law, they have to think about the future and plan for the time when they would not be in power. Congress failed to do so, and now Rahul Gandhi faced the heat in the form of disqualification from Lok Sabha after he was convicted in a defamation case and sentenced to two years in prison. The Congress scion has now appealed in court against his sentencing.

‘When you are in Congress, you are spineless’

In his statement, Azad also pointed out that Rahul Gandhi was the main reason he was no longer in the Congress party. “I wish Rahul Gandhi would have worked 1/50th of what Indira Gandhi or Rajiv Gandhi did, he would have succeeded,” he remarked.

Sardesai tried to corner Azad by saying had he been a Rajya Sabha member of Congress, he would have lined up outside the Surat Court to support Rahul Gandhi. Azad said, “Yes, it is true. Because when you are in Congress, you are spineless.” Notably, Azad recently remarked that he was happy that he left the Congress party as he would not have stood outside Surat Court as the Congress leaders and workers did.

Interestingly, he pointed out that he is “2000 per cent more Congressi” then any leader who is running politics on Twitter. However, the party does not need leaders like him, but it wants people who can do Twitter politics and have the audacity to claim that Congress would get 500 seats owing to Bharat Jodo Yatra.

Azad said the support for any party leader from other party members should not be because a whip was issued. He said, “I was the one who brought a vote of no confidence against former Prime Minister Narasimha Rao. I told him you have to face Jain Commission, but although I brought the no-confidence motion, I am going to support you, and I did.” He added not even former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi issued a whip forcing then MPs to support her, it came organically.

Ghulam Nabi Azad left party in 2022

In August 2022, Ghulam Nabi Azad declined the post of chairman of the campaign committee and also resigned from the political affairs committee of the Jammu and Kashmir state unit of the Congress. He refused to accept the posts within hours of his committee appointment and left the party. Later, Ghulam Nabi Azad formed his own political party Democratic Progress Azad Party.

Hindu student who took Anjaneya Deeksha stopped from attending class in missionary school for wearing saffron attire

A shocking incident has come to the fore in Telangana’s Adilabad wherein a Hindu student who took Anjaneya Deeksha was not allowed to attend school wearing his Deeksha attire. Abhinav, a sixth-standard student at St. Paul’s School in Adilabad’s Utnoor was sent back home as the school administration did not allow him to attend classes as he was wearing his mandatory saffron attire and mala.

According to media reports the incident took place on March 28, 2023, however, when other devotees of Lord Hanuman who have taken Anjaneya Deeksha learned about the incident, they staged a protest against St. Paul’s School.

The protesting Hindus said that the actions of the school hurt the sentiments of the Hindus. Later, the school principal, a nun, reportedly apologized and also assured the protestors that such an incident will not happen again. After receiving assurance from the school principal and Abhinav was allowed to attend school in his Deeksha attire, the protest was called off.

It is notable that Hanuman Deeksha or Anjaneya Mala is an auspicious vow observed for 11 days, 21 days, or 41 days depending on the convenience of devotees.

Delhi Police gives permission to take out shobha yatra on Hanuman Janmotsav in Jahangirpuri

On the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, Delhi police has given permission to take out the Shobha Yatra in the Jahangirpuri area within a certain distance.

Hanuman Jayanti will be observed today. “The route has been prepared. In order to maintain law and order, permission has been given to take out the Shobha Yatra within a certain distance. Discussion held with the organising committee and an appeal have been made to take out the Yatra as per law and order”, said Delhi Police on Shoba Yatra in Jahangirpuri area on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti.

Earlier in the day, Delhi Police had denied permission to the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and another group to undertake processions in the Jahangirpuri area of the national capital on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti on April 6.

Delhi Police told ANI that VHP and another group had sought permission to take out processions for Hanuman Jayanti but keeping in view the law and order situation, organisers were denied permission.

On April 16 last year, clashes had broken out between two communities in the area during a “Shoba Yatra” on Hanuman Jayanti.

Police said that elaborate security arrangements have been put in place in the Jahangirpuri area ahead of Hanuman Jayanti.

However, later taking cognisance of recent violence that broke out between two groups in West Bengal and Bihar during the Ram Navami procession, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) issued an advisory to all states to ensure the maintenance of law and order in preparation of Hanuman Jayanti.

The MHA has also advised through its advisory for peaceful observance of the festival, and monitoring of factors that could disturb communal harmony in society.

“The MHA has issued an advisory to all states in preparation for Hanuman Jayanti. The governments are encouraged to ensure the maintenance of law and order, peaceful observance of the festival, and monitoring of any factors that could disturb communal harmony in society,” tweeted the Union Home Ministry.

The advisory has been sent to the Chief Secretaries and the Director Generals of Police of all States, said sources.

The MHA’s move followed recent clashes reported from West Bengal and Bihar when Ram Navami processions were taken out.

Another Congress supporter becomes Pappu to target PM Modi’s degree, claims former Gujarat University VC, who is alive, died before he became the VC

Ever since Gujarat High Court imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on Delhi CM Kejriwal for using the RTI mechanism to get PM Modi’s degree which is available in the public domain and quashed a Central Information Commission (CIC) order directing Gujarat University to furnish information regarding PM Modi’s degree to the Delhi CM, Congress workers have been making hilarious to claim that PM Modi’s degree is fake.

After a Congress supporter made a fool of himself by claiming that Modi’s Gujarat University is fake based on a font, now another Congress supporter has claimed that the person who signed the certificate died before it was issued. A person named Anil Patel, who declares in his Twitter bio that he is a Congress supporter and social activist, claimed that former Gujarat University Vice Chancellor KS Shastri, who signed PM Modi’s degree issued in 1983, died two years earlier in 1981.

Screenshot of the tweet

He posted a copy of the MA Degree released by BJP in 2016, and a photograph of Prof K S Shastri. Under the photo, his name, the words Vice Chancellor, and below that 22-08-1980 to 13-07-1981 is written in brackets. Based on it, Anil Patel claimed that KS Shastri died in 1981, therefore he could not have signed the degree certificate issued in 1983.

However, in a hurry to please his masters, he ended up proving himself to be a Pappu. Because, if 13-07-1981 is the date of death of Shastri, then the date before it would be his date of birth. The other date is 22-08-1980, which would mean the person died before completing the age of one year. This makes the possibility of him being the vice-chancellor of a university a bit far-fetched.

Therefore, the date range 22-08-1980 to 13-07-1981 does not refer to the dates of birth and death of Prof. KS Shastri. That is because he is still alive, therefore the year 1981 can’t be his year of death. The former Gujarat Vice Chancellor is currently the chairman of the advisory committee at Som Lalit College in Ahmedabad.

The latest brochure and the mandatory disclosure of the Som-Lalit Institute of Management Studies mention KS Shastri’s name as the chairman of the advisory committee.

The date range 22-08-1980 to 13-07-1981 actually refers to the tenure of Shastri as the Vice Chancellor, but not of Gujarat University. He was the vice-chancellor of Veer Narmad South Gujarat University in Surat during this period. In fact, the image of Shastri with his name and dates has been taken from the University’s website listing its former VCs.

KS Shastri became the vice chancellor of Gujarat University in 1981, and remained in that post till 1987, as mentioned on the University’s website. Therefore, he was the VC when PM Modi’s degree was issued, and therefore his signature and name appears on the certificate. Subsequently, he worked as the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the university from 1997 to 2000.

KS Shastri was the VC of Veer Narmad South Gujarat University from 22-08-1980 to 13-07-1981, which has been mentioned below his photo in the universities website, but Congress supporter Anil Patel claimed it to be his birth and death dates in an attempt to prove that Modi’s degree is fake.

This is the second time this week that a Congress supporter made a hilariously wrong claim in an attempt to attach PM Modi over his degree. Earlier, a Congress supporter had claimed that an Old English font, also known as Gothic or Blackletter script, used in Modi’s Gujarat University MA certificate didn’t exist before 1992, therefore it could not have been used in the certificate issued in 1983. He claimed this based on the fact that a font named Old English Text MT was copyrighted by Microsoft. However, this was a completely wrong claim, because such Old English fonts are in use for around a thousand years, and the font used in the degree was developed in 1901. Moreover, such fonts have been in use by newspapers and universities for a long time.

‘I thought BJP government won’t give anything to a Muslim, PM Modi proved me wrong’, says Padma Shri awardee Shah Rasheed Ahmed Quadri

Padma Awards of 2023 were conferred upon the awardees at the second Civil Investiture Ceremony in Rashtrapati Bhavan on 5th April 2023. Padma Shri awardee from Karnataka Bidri Ware handicraft artist Shah Rasheed Ahmed Quadri said after receiving the award that he thought the BJP government wouldn’t give anything to him as he is a Muslim, but PM Narendra Modi has proven him wrong.

Shah Rasheed Ahmed Quadri reiterated the same thing when he met PM Narendra Modi after the ceremony. A video of him thanking PM Modi has also gone viral on social media.

As PM Modi approached to meet the Padma awardees, Shah Rasheed Ahmed Quadri shook hands with the Prime Minister and said, “I am from Bidar in Karnataka. I applied for this award in the Congress tenure for five years. I did not get it. The BJP government came to power after that. I remained silent thinking that this is a BJP government and it will not give the award to us (Muslims). But you have chosen me and you have proven my thinking wrong. Thank you so much for this.”

PM Modi was seen laughing at his comments.

During a media interaction, Shah Rasheed Ahmed Quadri said, “I tried for this award for ten years. Every year, it would cost me Rs. 12000 for the application. I have this much big profile. It includes 50 color photos. That too cost me a lot. After five years, a BJP government was voted into power. I quit applying for this award thinking that the BJP government never gives anything to a Muslim. But Modi Ji chose me and proved that my thought was wrong. I thank Modi Ji, Amit Shah Ji, and everyone who has played a key role in this award.”

Shah Rasheed Ahmed Quadri had shown his astonishment when the prizes were discussed in January and claimed that until he got a call from a representative of the Central government, he could not believe it. At that time, he said, “I never expected the Union government to recognise the six-century-old exquisite Bidriware and honour me with the Padma Shri. I could not believe it until one of the officials from the Union government rang up and informed me about the national award.”

When he was ten years old, the 68-year-old Shah Rasheed Ahmed Quadri began this traditional craft. In defiance of his father Shah Mustafa Quadri, a craftsman who made Bidriware, he began studying art. Rasheed Quadri comes from a long line of artists. First in his family to begin this age-old craft work was his grandfather Shah Muhammad Quadri. Shah Rasheed Ahmed Quadri has previously received several awards, including the State Award in 1984, the National Award in 1988, the District Karnataka Rajyotsava Award in 1996, and The Great Indian Achievers’ Award in 2004.
