Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann meets anti-India UK MP Dhesi, BJP leader and ex-Army Chief JJ Singh demands explanation

On April 15, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann met pro-separatist and anti-India MP from UK Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi. The information about the meeting was not published by CM, CMO, Aam Aadmi Party or AAP leader Raghav Chadha who was also present at the meeting. After meeting Punjab CM, Dhesi published a post on his social media handles thanking CM Mann for the warm welcome.

In his post, Dhesi wrote, “Grateful to the Honourable Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for the warmth with which he received me at his official residence today in Chandigarh.” He further mentioned MP Raghav Chadha and MLA Inderbir Singh Nijjar were also present in the meeting. Dhesi said he talked to Mann about land disputes, political prisoners and blacklisted individuals and urged him to establish direct flights from London, Birmingham and other major global cities to both Amritsar and Chandigarh.

Blacklisted individuals were removed in 2019

While land disputes between locals and NRIs are a burning issue in Punjab, the other topics that Dhesi raised are questionable. India has already removed over 300 Sikhs from the blacklist in 2019. Only a few are left on the blacklist who are not allowed to enter India as they have direct links to terrorist organisations. It is highly problematic that an MP from the UK visited India and approached a newly elected CM of a border state to convince the centre to remove such elements from the blacklist.

The issue of so-called political prisoners

The so-called Sikh political prisoners in India include convicts of several crimes, including the murder of the former Chief Minister of Punjab Beant Singh, the 1993 Delhi Bomb case and several others. Sikh bodies have raised the demand for releasing these prisoners on several occasions. In 2019, the union government had issued a notification that those who had completed the sentence would be released soon.

The death sentence of Balwant Singh Rajoana, who was convicted of killing former CM Beant Singh, was commuted to life imprisonment. In 2022, ahead of polls, Akali Dal had accused AAP’s Arvind Kejriwal of delaying the release of Davinderpal Singh Bhullar, the main accused of the 1993 blast outside Youth Congress Headquarters in Delhi.

BJP demanded explanation

Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former Army Chief JJ Singh have criticised CM Mann for meeting Dhesi. In a statement, Singh said, “It is very unfortunate that AAP government in Punjab…is going the extra mile to welcome Labour Party MP Dhesi whose views are pro-separatist and anti-India. AAP owes a clarification to the country whether it supports his views on Kashmir and other matters which are against our country.”

‘It is not wrong to stand for the community’ said Dhesi

Commenting on the objections raised by BJP as Dhesi has links with pro-Khalistani and anti-India forces, Dhesi said it was not wrong to stand for the “community”. He called BJP leaders “miscreants” and said he would continue his support for the “community”.

Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi has a history of anti-India stand

Dhesi has a long history of making anti-India statements. His connection to separatists groups and Khalistani organisations are well known. He is a member of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Kashmir (APPGK). There have been financial transactions between the Pakistan Government and the APPGK in the past.

In February last year, Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi attended a ‘Kashmir Solidarity Conference’ organised by Tehreek-e-Kashmir United Kingdom (TeK UK) President Faheem Kayani through video link. More than 40 British MPs participated in the conference, and Dhesi was one of them.

He has attacked RSS on several occasions. Dhesi also participated in Referendum 2020, a secessionist movement being run by the terrorist organisation Sikhs For Justice. He had criticised the Indian government over farmer protests and echoed the anti-India elements blaming India for being anti-farmer.

Many on social media have also raised concerns over a known pro-separatist British politician like Dhesi being allowed to come and meet political leaders in India.

Jahangirpuri violence: Is the main accused Ansar an AAP worker? Here is what we know so far

A day after Ansar, the prime accused in the Jahangirpuri violence was sent to police custody, allegations have now surfaced that he is associated with the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Delhi.

The accusation was made by the Delhi BJP Chief, Adesh Gupta. He had alleged that Ansar is a member of the AAP. Gupta had also lambasted party supremo Arvind Kejriwal for harbouring rioters in his party.

Several pictures have now surfaced on social media, which show Ansar being garlanded by people. He was seen wearing the cap of the Aam Aadmi Party. While speaking about the matter, lawyer Prashant Umarao remarked, “Kejriwal’s pet thug, who attacked Hindus in Jahangirpuri.”

Popular Twitter user Vikrant had tweeted, “Ansar is an AAP Member who actively campaigned for The Party during Delhi Elections. After Tahir Hussain another feather in the party.”

BJP MP Parvesh Sahib Singh had tweeted, “The primary accused in the rioting case during Hanuman Jayanti celebrations, Ansar, has turned out to be the worker of the Aam Aadmi Party. Last time, Tahir Hussain turned out to be a leader of the same party.”

He further questioned, “Arvind Kejriwal, why do you love rioters so much? Why is the Delhi government providing all possible facilities to them?”

A Twitter user (@dkranbose) posted images of Ansar, wearing the cap of AAP, and sitting with a large stockpile of alcohol. “This guy is affiliated with the AAP who was arrested by the cops but he is linked with Flesh Trade and other illegal Trafficking from Bengal to Delhi,” he had alleged.

BJP National spokesperson Kapil Mishra also claimed that Ansar has connections with the likes of Tahir Hussain, Khalid Saifi and Umar Khalid.

The Aam Aadmi Party is yet to respond to the allegations or issue a clarification on the matter.

AAP Councillor Tahir Hussain’s role in Anti-Hindu Delhi riots

AAP councillor Tahir Hussain was arrested in 2020 for sheltering a frenzied anti-Hindu mob in his bungalow in Moonga Nagar. They were seen hurling Molotovs and stones from atop Hussain’s house in their surrounding areas.

The residents of the region claimed that the Muslim mob attempted to vandalise the Shiva temple across the street and in their endeavour burnt down the building adjacent to the temple. Tahir Hussain in his confession to the Delhi Police said that his close associate Khalid Saifi had planned the riots with him. He had revealed his plans to exploit his political position and money against the Hindu community.

He promised Saifi that he will always be ready to take any step. After the Supreme Court ruled in favour of Ram Lalla Virajman and the Indian government passed the Citizenship Amendment Act tabled by Home Minister Amit Shah, Tahir and Khalid met and decided that this was the time to act.

The charge sheet pertaining to FIR 114 stated that Tahir played a vital role in burning several Hindu shops in the Khajuri Khas area along with his accomplices. During the investigation, police found out that he had instigated a mob during the riots of 24th and 25th February 2020 saying that Hindus have killed many Muslims and had set their shops on fire at the Sherpur Chowk.

The charge sheet said, “Only 64 live cartridges and 22 empty cartridges were recovered at his instance. During interrogation, he could not give an account of the remaining 14 live cartridges and 22 empty/fired cartridges, when and where the same were fired/used.”

AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan supported Tahir Hussain, had justified beheadings over blasphemy

In March 2020, AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan came out in defence of Tahir Hussain. He raised the issue of Muslim victimhood to assert that Tahir Hussain was innocent and was being framed by the government because of his faith.

“Today, Tahir Hussain is behind the bars because he is a Muslim. Perhaps, it is the biggest crime in India today to be a Muslim and it might be possible that it would be proven that Tahir Hussain was behind orchestrating the violence in Delhi,” he had tweeted.

Last year, the Aam Aadmi Party legislator threatened violence against Swamy Yati Narsinghanand Saraswati, the Mahant of Dasna Temple, over his alleged remarks against Prophet Muhammad.

In a tweet, Khan had said, “We can not tolerate such impertinence for our beloved Prophet Muhammad. This hateful insect should be awarded the most severe punishment by slitting his tongue and neck. But the law of the land does not permit us to do this, we have faith in the Indian constitution, and I want Delhi Police to take note of this.”

Taking action against his tweet which calls for the beheading of the temple priest, Delhi Police had registered an FIR against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)’s MLA Amanatullah Khan as well.

Gujarat: Communal clash in Vadodara leaves a temple, idol of Sai Baba broken, locals say sword wielding Muslim mob pelted stones

Days after violence in various part of India over Ram Navami and Hanuman Jayanti processions, communal tensions escalated in Vadodara after a sword wielding Muslim mob reportedly pelted stones. As per reports, a road accident between two bikes late on Sunday night led to escalation of communal tension.

After initial arguments, the matter worsened and two groups started fighting. A mob of about 300-400 people came on roads and it is reported they beat up people who were driving past. The mob then also broke the idol of Sai Baba in nearby temple.

4 people were injured and about 10 shops were destroyed. Those injured were shifted to Sayaji hospital for treatment. Soon the police arrived and calmed the situation. People got angry over destruction of idol and to calm the tempers, the idol of Sai Baba was put up again.

Video shows a mob pelting stones and indulging in violence. Two companies of State Reserve Force were also deployed as per reports.

Reports suggest that the way suddenly the huge mob appeared, it has raised suspicion of the entire violence been pre-planned conspiracy. Local residents are angry at the stone pelting incident. Some say that the people who pelted stones were not local people but may have come from other places, suggesting that this may be a pre-planned conspiracy.

Himmatnagar and Khambhat violence

On 10th April, when people were celebrating Ram Navami, stones were pelted and the processions were attacked by Muslim mob from top of roofs of homes as well as masjids. In Khambhat, in Anand district, near Vadodara, the initial police investigation has revealed a larger conspiracy where at least 3 maulanas (Islamic religious leaders) were allegedly involved. People were called in from outside of district to perpetrate violence and there are reports that they were promised legal and financial aid should things go wrong. As per reports, the maulvis wanted to establish dominance of Islam so that no such shobha yatras are carried out in future.

‘My statement will be the same, bulldozers will come whenever there are riots’: Madhya Pradesh Home Minister to Barkha Dutt

Clips of Barkha Dutt’s interview with Madhya Pradesh State Home Minister Dr Narottam Mishra are making rounds on social media platforms. During the interview, Dr Mishra stated clearly to Barkha Dutt that the action taken by the state against the rioters would be repeated if riots happened again in the state.

Dutt was seen trying her best to make Dr Mishra give some placating remarks or express guilt over the bulldozing of illegal properties. During the 14-minute interview, Dr Mishra called out Congress and AIMIM for doing religion-based politics.

‘It was tit-for-tat’

Dutt asked Dr Mishra to explain why the houses of the rioters were bulldozed, allegedly without any legal formalities. She questioned if the state would declare the accused guilty and take such actions in the future. Dr Mishra bluntly told her that it was a tit-for-tat. “These are anti-social elements. They make the lives of others miserable. They burnt down the houses and injured several people who were now admitted to the hospital. An SP was shot by them and a PI was severely injured. You tell me what should be done with people like these.”

‘There should be an instant action’

When asked when justice is the responsibility of the Police and Court and why state authorities took such action, Dr Mishra said Police and Court would take steps to ensure justice. However, rioters should know the state government can take action too. Those states that did not take action, thinking the Police and Court would do justice, are facing riots. Not a single riot happened in Uttar Pradesh. There were 900 processions, but not even a single scuffle took place. Every action has a different effect. There should be confidence in the government.”

‘There will be “tu-tu main-main” in MP’

Dutt said if riots happened, it was the responsibility of the state as well, to which Dr Mishra said the Police personnel got injured during the riots, which means they were there to maintain law and order. She questioned if Chief Minister wanted to choose the path of becoming like ‘bulldozer wale baba’ while referring to CM Yogi Adityanath, who got famous by the name. Dr Mishra said CM Chouhan did not want to become like anyone, but there will be no ‘tu-tu main-main (arguments) in MP as well.

‘Legal process was followed’

Dr Mishra emphasized the fact that all legal documentation was completed before taking any action against the rioters. He said the properties bulldozed were encroachments, and the authorities filed documentation before taking any action. He further added that the action was against both rioters and encroachers.

‘My statement will be the same if riots happen again’

Dutt tried to counter Dr Mishra for the statement he made that the houses of the stone-pelters would be reduced to rubble. Dr Mishra made it clear that if riots happen in the future, his statement will remain the same. When asked if he regrets using Bulldozer, he said he was satisfied with the action.

‘We will follow Supreme Court guidelines

Dutt mentioned Supreme Court has recently passed a judgement against the UP government for making the rioters pay for the damages. She questioned what if Supreme Court ordered something similar against the MP government. Dr Mishra calmly said the state would follow the instructions of the Supreme Court.

Notably, in the judgment Dutt mentioned, the Supreme Court had allowed the state government to take action against the rioters as per the newly enacted law. Though the previous proceedings by the state were set aside as there was no said law for the same at that time, the UP government had already passed the law under which the state could recover damages to public and private properties from the rioters.

‘There was no Hindu-Muslim

Dr Mishra refuted the claims made by some leaders and media houses that only the houses of Muslims were torn down. He said the action was and will be taken against the rioters irrespective of their religion.

Stones were pelted from the mosque

Dr Mishra cleared the air over how the riots were started. He said the stones were pelted from the mosque that led to the riots in Khargone. Dr Mishra added he did not know the reason why they pelted the stones, and it would be revealed during the investigation. When asked if provocative songs were played in front of the mosque, he said nothing like that happened, and he was aware of the series of events in Khargone only and not in the other locations outside MP where similar riots happened.

‘I know what you are trying to do’

Dr Mishra said when the laws were made on dealing with the rioters, there were no CCTV cameras, and the media was not active like today. He added in today’s time, videos made it easier to identify those who fired the bullets and used swords in the riots. When Dutt twisted the question and asked the same thing, Dr Mishra said in a warning tone that he had been following her since she was with NDTV and knew what she was trying to do.

Action against Digvijay

Speaking about the fake tweet by Congress leader Digvijay Singh, Dr Mishra said the legal action is being taken against him. He countered the statement made by AIMIM’s Assasudin Owaisi, where he raised questions about the action taken by the state. He said when rioters burnt down the houses of the innocents when pelted stones, and fired shots at the Police, why people like Digvijay and Owaisi did not say a word against them.

He also mentioned that after the speech Bharatiya Janata Party leader Kapil Mishra made on the Khargone riots, he had called Mishra and both agreed such speeches should not be made.

Khargone Riots

On April 10, a Ram Navami procession that began in the Talab Chowk area of Khargone had to be abandoned midway after it came under a volley of stones. Riots escalated as several vehicles were set on fire. The cops resorted to firing tear gas shells to bring the situation under control. During the orgy of violence, a total of 24 people were injured, including six police personnel.

The day after the riots, the Khargone administration took strict action against the miscreants who had pelted stones at the Ram Navami procession. The illegally constructed buildings were bulldozed by the administration. Five JCB machines were deployed for the task. According to the reports, 77 people have been arrested, and the city of Khargone continues to be under curfew.

Volodymyr Zelensky says Ukraine will not give up territory in the east to end the war with Russia

Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine is not willing to give up territory in the eastern part of the country to end the war with Russia. He made this statement in an exclusive interview he gave to CNN’s Jake Tapper from the office of the president in Kyiv on 16th April 2022. He said that Ukraine’s military is prepared to fight Moscow’s military in the Donbas region.

According to Zelensky, this battle can change the course of the ongoing war. Zelensky said, “It is very important for us to not allow them, to stand our ground, because this battle can influence the course of the whole war.”

President Volodymyr Zelensky said Ukraine will not give away territory to Russia because there is no assurance that Russia will not continue its invasion even after getting the eastern region.

He said, “I don’t trust the Russian military and Russian leadership. That is why we understand that the fact that we fought them off and they left, and they were running away from Kyiv — from the north, from Chernihiv, and from that direction — it doesn’t mean if they are able to capture Donbas, they won’t come further towards Kyiv. Ukraine must stand its grounds in the battle of Donbas.”

Zelensky added, “I have the same opinion as President Biden. Look what happened in Bucha. It’s clear that is not even a war, it’s a genocide. They just killed people. Not soldiers, people. They just shot people in the streets. People were riding bicycles, taking the bus or just walking down the street. There were corpses lining the streets.”

Zelensky also said, “I don’t believe the world. We don’t believe the words. After the escalation of Russia, we don’t believe our neighbors. We don’t believe all of this.”

Refusing to do peace talks on the terms set by Russia, Zelensky said, “As I said before, what’s the price of all this? It’s people. The many people who have been killed. And who ends up paying for all of this? It’s Ukraine. Just us. So for us, this is a really great cost. If there is an opportunity to speak, we’ll speak. But to speak only under a Russian ultimatum? It’s then a question about attitude towards us, not about whether the dialogue is ‘good’ or ‘bad.’ It’s impossible.”

On 24th February 2022, Russia started its military operations on the eastern borders of Ukraine and since then the war situation has become increasingly grave. Russia had faced many sanctions from the western countries including the USA and the UK and other members of NATO. This interview of Zelensky came in the seventh week of the ongoing war.

Jahangirpuri: 5 Hindus including a juvenile who organized Hanuman Jayanti procession detained after Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind’s visit

On Saturday (April 16, 2022), not only were Hindus taking out the Hanuman Jayanti procession in Jahangirpuri, Delhi subjected to stone-pelting and bullets from the Muslim mob but there was also arson and violence in the area. Now it has come to the fore that in this case, Delhi Police has detained 5 Hindus, who had played the main role in organizing this Shobha Yatra. All of them belong to the same family, and one of them is a juvenile.

A woman from the victim’s family told OpIndia that the police had come to their house after the violence. The woman said that her three sons have been detained by the Delhi Police. Apart from this, the husband of the said woman has also been taken away by the police, she informed.

One of the three sons of the woman detained by the police is also a minor. The victim woman gave information that her brother-in-law (husband’s younger brother) has also been detained by the Delhi Police. The chariot used in the Shobha Yatra was built by this family.

Pointing to the ruined chariot, the woman mentioned that it had come back in a very broken condition after the procession. Local youth also said that all the decoration they had done for the chariot was destroyed during the riots. The victim woman said that her husband and sons had come back home and informed her that due to Muslim stone pelters, there was chaos and violence in the procession. While the woman’s husband works in an industrial plant to support the family, her brother-in-law works in the scrap business.

The woman, named Durga Sarkar provided all this information, her husband’s name is Suvan Sarkar. While their first son Suraj is 20 years old, the second son is 17-18 years old. The third son of the woman is a minor, but still, the police have taken him away without providing any details of the crime. The woman has named her brother-in-law as Suresh Sarkar. After the information about the detainment came to the fore, there has been a lot of anger among the locals and they are questioning why is the police detaining the victims.

Another thing worth noting is that shortly before this action, the representatives of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind also reached the spot. Abdul Rajik, General Secretary of Delhi Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, and other members of the organization met the DCP of the area. They had asked how can one prove through social media that the first stone came from the side of Muslims. On the issue of stone pelting from the mosque, Jamiat says that the truth will come out after the police investigation. The organization had also said that the stones and saffron flags were brought from outside.

Jamiat said that Delhi Police has assured them of fair action. The Ulemas who reached the spot also said that the organization has been providing legal aid to the accused in such cases and the same thing will be done in this case after seeing the FIR. Describing themselves as helpers of the poor, Jamiat ulema said on the arrest of Aslam, who shot a sub-inspector, that the Delhi Police has not said anything clear yet. In all likelihood, the organization will give legal help to the rioters of Jahangirpuri.

As per the latest updates, another video of stone-pelting and shooting has also surfaced. In this video, the accused is seen firing his pistol during the violence. Meanwhile, Delhi Police has clarified that the person who opened fire has been arrested and the weapon has also been recovered from him. In the video that surfaced, it is seen that some people are pelting stones at the people taking out the procession. The stone pelters ranged from children to adults. In between, a middle-aged man comes and shoots the pistol and immediately runs away.

Another incident of stone-pelting on Hanuman Jayanti procession in Haridwar, several people including cops injured

Another incident of stone-pelting on a procession on Hanuman Jayanti has been reported from Haridwar in Uttarakhand, which took place on 16th April 2022. Afte the stone-pelting cases on Ram Navami processions in several parts of the country, some Hanuman Jayanti processions were also attacked yesterday, including in Delhi. After this, a case of stone-pelting on the procession has come to light from Haridwar. The police arrived at the spot after the case came to light. The situation was brought under control. Police have now initiated action to arrest the culprits.

In Uttarakhand, stones were pelted during a Hanuman Jayanti procession by a mob of Muslims in Haridwar. It is being claimed that some shots were also heard during this time. More than 10 people along with policemen are reported to have been injured in the attack. According to a report by Navbharat Times, Bajrang Dal activists were taking out a procession in the Bhagwanpur police station area of Haridwar rural. As the procession passed near Dada Patti village, a mob pelted stones from the houses.

Yogendra Singh, SSP, Haridwar said, “Stones were pelted by some people during Hanuman Jayanti procession in Bhagwanpur police station area late last evening. Following the information, the police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control. An FIR has been lodged in the case and the arrest of the culprits is on.”

The police station in-charge also injured

The Mandwar police station in charge is also reported to have been injured in stone-pelting on the Hanuman Jayanti procession. The incident was reported to the local police. After this, the police of Bhagwanpur police station also reached the spot. Pramendra Dobli, SP Haridwar Rural, said that stone pelting was done on the procession from the roof of the houses. Many were injured in the attack, and the injured were taken to hospitals for treatment.

A similar incident took place in Delhi on 16th April 2022. When the Hanuman Jayanti Shobhayatra was passing through the C block of the Jahangiurpuri, suddenly some people pelted stones on the process from the rooftops in the area. After the attack, the people in the process also started pelting stones at the attackers in retaliation and triggered communal violence in the process.

Jahangirpuri violence: Ansar and Aslam sent to one day police custody by Rohini court, the other 12 accused sent to judicial custody

0

In the aftermath of the violence against the Hanuman Jayanti procession in Jahangirpuri in Delhi, the two main accused Ansar and Aslam have been sent to one-day police custody. Ansar was identified as the Muslim leader of the area who started the confrontation that led to the violence, while Aslam shot a Delhi Police sub-inspector during the course of the violence.

Earlier, Delhi police had arrested 14 people accused of instigating the violence during a Hanuman Jayanti procession in Jahangirpuri area of Delhi. Delhi was the latest place to be hit with violence against Hindu processions after similar violence against these processions in Rajasthan, Bengal, Jharkhand, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh.

Ansar, who has been sent to police custody, has previously been allegedly involved in mobilizing people from Jahangirpuri to Shaheen Bagh during anti-CAA protests. As per Delhi Police, he was previously involved in two cases of assault and was also charged repeatedly under preventive sections and booked five times under the Gambling Act and the Arms Act.

The other main accused, Aslam, had injured a Delhi Police sub-inspector by shooting him during the course of their violent outburst against the procession. The pistol used in the crime has already been recovered from him.

Following the violence against the Hanuman Jayanti procession in Delhi, 20 people have been arrested so far including 2 juveniles. “20 accused arrested and 2 juveniles in conflict with the law have also been apprehended in connection with Jahangirpuri violence case. 3 firearms and 5 swords have been recovered from the possession of the accused persons. Condom brands wish Ranbir and Alia on their wedding, his ex Deepika had once said he should endorse condoms

0

Taking advantage of the much-awaited celebrity wedding of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, several condom brands have wished them on their wedding with cheesy social media posts. Alia and Ranbir have been together for years, and their wedding was not a close affair making it a trending topic on social media platforms.

Apart from fans, many brands took social media to congratulate the couple and condom brands were not behind. Wishing them a happy married life, popular condom brand Durex said in a post, “Dear Ranbir and Alia, Mehfil mein tere, hum na rahein jo, Fun toh nahi rahega.” (If we are not in the party, there will be no fun).

Another popular Condom brand Skore said, “Hey Rockstar, we know Yeh Jawaani Hai Diwani, but remember us when she is Raazi.” Skore used the names of Ranbir and Alia’s movies for the creative wishes.

Manforce condoms published a post after the wedding in which they said though they missed the wedding, they come late in the ‘picture’. The post read, “We don’t attend weddings, we increase the fun later.”

KamaSutra condoms published a post on similar lines of Manforce and said, “We weren’t invited for the wedding. But we will definitely be there for the honeymoon.” They promoted their Honeymoon Surprise Pack with their post.

Ranbir’s former girlfriend Deepika Padukone had advised him to endorse condoms

In 2010, in an episode of Koffee with Karan show, Karan Johar had asked Deepika Padukone what advice she would give to Ranbir Kapoor, to which she replied, “Endorse a condom brand.” Earlier in the show, Deepika had said they broke up because he had cheated on her with someone. She said though he was a good friend, but he was never a good boyfriend. Deepika said she would have forgiven him, but it was not possible when it became a habit. She said, “One does forgive but then if it becomes a habit…then…”

Late Rishi Kapoor was furious with the comments made by Deepika and Sonam Kapoor during that show. In reply to a tabloid, he said, “Well, to put things in the right perspective, all I can say is that with both the girls, it is a case of sour grapes. All I will say to the girls is: instead of doing all this, concentrate on your careers. Why do you run shows that have so much gossip?” He further added Ranbir would never run anyone down as they did.

Jahangirpuri rioter caught on camera firing shots during Hanuman Jayanti Shobha Yatra, watch video

A video has surfaced on social media in which a person can be seen firing a pistol into a throng of people during the incident of violence that occurred while the Hanuman Jayanti procession was passing through Block C of Jahangirpuri, New Delhi. It can be seen in the video that a person joins the crowd, which is pelting stones, and fires shots from a pistol.

The identity of the person firing is still not clear but he can be seen wearing a skull cap. Several other people along with small kids can be seen pelting stones in the video.

The violence happened in the Jahahgirpuri locality during a Hanuman Jayanti Shobha Yatra, which was attacked as it passed a Masjid in the region’s C Block. Gunshots were also fired in the incident, injuring a Delhi Police Sub Inspector, Medha Lal Meena.

On being asked about his injury and the firing that took place, Meena said, “There were eight to ten rounds of firing from the side of the mob one of which hit my hand.” He clarified that there was no firing from the side of the police though. Senior officers of the nearby station were present at the spot and were trying to get hold of the situation.

The Delhi Police has filed an FIR on the incident of stone-pelting that occurred yesterday in Delhi’s Jahangirpuri, and 14 people have been apprehended for allegedly engaging in violence against the Hanuman Jayanti procession. Md. Aslam, accused in the shooting of a Delhi Police sub-inspector, was also apprehended. It’s unclear whether the individual in the video is Aslam or someone else.

The matter is being investigated by the Delhi Police’s special cell and crime branch. To probe into the matter, ten investigative teams have been formed. More forces have been deployed in the areas near Jahangirpuri to prevent any unanticipated incidents.
