After provocative speeches made at the Haridwar ‘Dharm Sansad’ organised by Yati Narsimhanand Saraswati went viral on social media, an FIR has been filed against Waseem Rizvi alias Jitendra Narayan Tyagi at Haridwar. As per reports, the FIR was filed on the basis of a complaint by one Gulbahar Khan from Haridwar city.

As per the complaint, Waseem Rizvi, who is now known as Jitendra Narayan Tyagi, and some other individuals made derogatory remarks against Islamic prophet Mohammad and the followers of Islam. The complaint further states that the remarks were derogatory and provocative in nature and were made under a pre-planned conspiracy. The accused also shared their speeches live on social media.

The ‘Dharm Sansad’ was held recently on December 17,18, and 19 at the Bhupatla area in North Haridwar, the report says.

The FIR has been filed under section 153-A of the IPC.

Rizvi’s response

Waseem Rizvi told OpIndia that multiple FIRs have been filed against him at different places across India, including the one at Haridwar and another at Hyderabad under the orders of AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi. He added that the FIRs against him are a collective conspiracy by Islamist maulanas because he (Rizvi) has exposed their real faces. “Telling the truth is not hate speech, the political parties who indulge in Muslim vote bank politics are scared. They divide Hindus to make the BJP lose seats, so they think that by weakening Hindus, the BJP can be weakened,” he added.

Khalistani terror outfit Babbar Khalsa is the mastermind of the bomb blast that rocked the Ludhiana Sessions Court on Thursday (December 23), reported News18 citing sources in the Intelligence agency. The organisation is active in Canada, the UK, Germany, and some parts of India.

As per the report, the deadly attack was carried out by Babbar Khalsa chief Wadhawa Singh in collusion with gangster Harvinder Singh (also known as Rinda Singh). The latter had escaped to the neighbouring country of Pakistan and had recruited local gangsters to carry out the blast. The cops are investigating the role of the Lahore-based Khalistan organisation, based on the inputs of Intelligence reports.

News18 reported that the terror angle is the primary focus of the investigative agencies. Meanwhile, it has also come to light that the central agencies had been sending security alerts to the Punjab government about the possibility of chaos being created by radical outfits in poll-bound Punjab. The initial probe in the Ludhiana court blast case has revealed the use of RDX. In light of possible terror attacks, the Centre had enhanced the jurisdiction of the Border Security Force (BSF) to 50 km from the earlier 15 km radius.

Punjab police ignored earlier security alert 

On December 14, an internal security alert was sent by Punjab Police ADGP (internal security) and had raised questions regarding the preparations made by the Punjab police in tackling threats from Pakistani ISI and Khalistani elements. It said, “The ISI of Pakistan has adopted a new strategy of dropping consignments of arms, ammunition, and explosive material. 43 drone sightings have taken place (36 times in Amritsar, 7 times in Pathankot, have been observed).”

It emphasised, “The ISI has been using drones to drop consignments of arms, including tiffin bomb, IEDs, grenades and heroin…..It is also worthwhile to mention that as per intelligence inputs, Ferozepur area, based smugglers are very active and are in constant touch with ISI of Pakistan for smuggling consignments of arms. One such module was busted by the Ferozepur police in August 2021 with the arrest of Harmesh Singh Kali, son of Joginder alias Gabbar along with his associates.”

On December 23, an explosion took place inside the court complex in Ludhiana, Punjab. One individual lost his life, while 5 others were injured. According to a report in The Tribune, the blast occurred in a toilet on the third floor at around 12:25 PM. The reports suggest that the roof and walls of the toilet were damaged by the impact of the blast. Videos shared on social media show smoke coming out of the 5-storey building. The district court is located in the same campus where the District Commissioner’s office is located in the heart of Ludhiana city.

West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee on Thursday refused to attend the meeting convened by the centre on December 24. The conference was being held to discuss ways to commemorate the birth anniversary of the revolutionary leader Shri Aurobindo on August 15 2022, as part of the 75th Independence Day celebrations.

The WB CM was apparently miffed as she was not given an opportunity to speak at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s virtual meeting with chief ministers held a day before.

The CM, who was speaking to a group of government officials, academics, and famous figures, said she would have given her advice if she had been allowed to speak at the PM’s Independence Day celebrations meeting.

“It isn’t right to politicise everything. I will not be able to attend tomorrow’s meeting since we have already charted out a number of programmes on Rishi Aurobindo already. Please write a letter to inform that I won’t be attending (the meeting),” Banerjee told Chief Secretary HK Dwivedi.

This is, however, not the first time Mamata Banerjee was seen throwing a tantrum for not being given adequate importance by the centre. Despite the fact that such behaviour does not fit Mamata Banerjee’s demeanour and stature, the West Bengal chief minister has done so several times in the past also.

She had, recently, skipped the virtual meeting convened by PM Narendra Modi to review the Covid situation in the country and all the vaccination drive meetings. Citing pre-scheduled election meetings as an excuse the WB CM has stayed away from these important meetings.

This is not the first time that Mamata Banerjee has given an all CM meeting a miss. She gave another all CM virtual meeting a miss in June 2020 after being visibly upset about not being invited as a speaker. 

Mamata Banerjee has also been skipping meetings held by Niti Aayog, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and termed it as a ‘futile exercise’.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed the charge sheet against five Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists before a special NIA court in Patna in the Darbhanga railway station blast case.

The charge sheet was filed on Thursday (December 23) against Mohammed Nasir Khan and his brother Imran Malik, who are natives of Kairana of Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh. They had been living in Hyderabad. Other accused Saleem Ahmed and Kafil Ahmad are also from Kairana whereas the fifth accused Iqbal Mohammed alias Iqbal Kana is also from Shamli and currently operates from Lahore.

The agency has booked them under sections 120B, 468, and 471 of the IPC, Sections 3, 4, and 5 of the Explosive Substances Act, 1908, and sections 16, 17, 18, 18B, 20, 23, 38, 39 and 40 of the UA(P) Act.

LeT planned to set ablaze moving Secunderabad-Darbhanga Express

On June 17 this year an explosion took place took place at Darbhanga Railway Station in Bihar. The NIA took over the case after a police investigation indicated it was terrorist activity.

NIA investigation revealed that LeT terrorists had planned to set ablaze a moving Secunderabad-Darbhanga Express train by placing IEDs in the train.

NIA claimed that Nasir Khan and his brother on the instance of Iqbal Kana configured the IED by using locally procured chemicals. They placed it in a parcel of clothes and on June 15, they booked the parcel at the Secunderabad railway office. During the booking, they used a fake PAN card to hide their identity. The train departs at night and the accused had planned to trigger the blast during night hours so that fire caused by the explosion cause maximum damage.

Luckily, the bomb exploded after the parcel was offloaded at the Darbhanga railway station and no injury was reported during the blast.

The NIA claimed that Nasir Khan on the instruction of Iqbal Kana had also secretly visited Pakistan on some occasions to receive training in the handling of arms and ammunition and configuring IEDs. For instance, in 2012 he had visited Pakistan when he learned the technique of configuring chemical bombs. Besides, he received funds from Pakistan on various occasions for executing the conspiracy.

NIA investigation revealed that other accused Saleem Ahmed also knew Iqbal Kana as both were from the same village. Iqbal Kana was initially involved in the smuggling of Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) and Saleem Ahmed in the crime. Saleem Ahmed had also Pakistan several times during 1990-2005 on the name import of garments.

After the incident, Pakistani handlers tried to facilitate their escape abroad via Nepal. But they were arrested.

The Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI), and the Income Tax department have conducted raids on the premises of a Pan Masala manufacturer, perfume empire owner and a transporter. As per reports, the raid has so far revealed mounds of cash, packed in cabinets and elsewhere, estimated to be over Rs 150 crores in currency notes at the house of Piyush Jain, the perfume company owner.

Reports stated that the IT department and DGGI have simultaneously raided multiple company premises of Piyush Jain, located in Mumbai, Kannauj and Gujarat.

As per reports, the raid was conducted by DGGI officials from the Gujarat and Kanpur wings. The premises of Shikhar Pan Masala (chewing tobacco) located in Kanpur’s Transport Nagar area has been raided too. The government officials have seized bills, invoices for raw materials and finished products and other related documents in the raid.

Images from the raid have gone viral on social media. As per some reports, several cash counting machines, and borrowed staff members from the SBI have been engaged to count the mounds of cash recovered, and the process is still going on.

A Kanpur-based transport company owner has been raided too. The transporter was involved in the transportation of goods under fake invoices, without generating e-way bills.

Piyush Jain hails from the Chhipatti area in Kannauj. He started with a perfume business and now owns over 40 companies, including petrol pumps. He owns 2 companies in Dubai too. His company does the perfume manufacturing business in Kannauj and from showrooms located in Mumbai, his products are sold all over the world.

As per reports, all office premises of Piyush Jain across Mumbai, Gujarat, Kannauj, his petrol pumps and residences have been raided simultaneously by IT and DGGI officials. Piyush Jain has been reportedly associated with Samajwadi Party and is considered close to Akhilesh Yadav. He had launched the ‘Samajwadi Perfume’ earlier this year.

The ‘Samajwadi Perfume’ was launched by Akhilesh Yadav in the presence of many senior SP leaders. Jain was present at the launch ceremony too, as per reports.

Recently, the Income Tax department had conducted raids on several other individuals in Uttar Pradesh, including senior SP leader Rajeev Rai.

Hours after a bomb blast rocked a session court in Ludhiana, it came to light that the Punjab police had not taken a terror alert sent on December 14 seriously, reported The New Indian.

The Punjab Police ADGP informed that the ISI handlers had sent large consignments of arms and explosive material to Harmesh Singh Kali in June and July this year. “Since consignment divulged by Harmesh Kali has not been recovered fully so there is a need for exercising vigil and also to launch special operations by all CPs/SSP…..robust arrangements should be made……strategic deployment of QRTs and BPs, deployment of special 24 x 7 armed hamas, maintenance of drone operator, pilots and dealers,” the security advisory added.

It concluded, “Suitable 2nd line of defence….ensure electronic surveillance of CCTV cameras….cyber patrolling of social media cells…night dominance operations. Active surveillance against known released terrorists/militants, absconders, radicals, gangsters, and facilitators relating to past cases.” Following the attack, the Punjab Police ADGP said that the cops should re-focus on the inputs shared by it on July 9 and December 7 wherein it discussed the possibility of terror attacks in the State of Punjab. The New Indian pointed out that the ADGP had also sent an ‘immediate and urgent’ advisory on November 8 for review of security in judicial complexes and district courts.

FIR filed against ‘Dharma Sansad’ speeches, but here is the viral Owaisi speech that invited no FIR

A day after speeches of leaders like Yati Narsinghanand and other Hindu leaders went viral, an FIR has been filed in Uttarakhand over the speeches that called upon Hindus to collect arms. The speeches were deemed as provocative and social media was rife with Leftists and Islamists claiming that the speeches called for a Muslim genocide.

Ashok Kumar, DGP, said the police had received a complaint and filed an FIR under Section 153A of the IPC (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion) related to the statements made at the recent Dharam Sansad event in Haridwar. The event was a 3-day Dharma Sansad event held at Haridwar, Uttarakhand, from the 17th of December onwards.

The FIR has been filed against Waseem Rizvi aka Jitendra Narayan Tyagi and several others involved in the event.

After the FIR, Uttarakhand government spokesperson Subodh Uniyal said: “Whatever happened at the Haridwar Dharam Sansad was wrong. Police will take required action against those involved and responsible.”

Interestingly, the complaint was filed by Asaduddin Owaisi of AIMIM after which an FIR was filed. AIMIM had furthered said that if the police does not take appropriate action, the party would launch a statewide agitation against the state and the people involved in the event.

While an FIR has been filed against the Dharma Sansad event based on a complaint filed by AIMIM’s Asaduddin Owaisi, another video went viral on social media where Owaisi was seen threatening the police and Hindus at large. This video went viral on social media as a response to Leftists and Islamists targeting all Hindus based on the speeches made at the Dharma Sansad.

In the speech, AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi said, “I want to tell the police. Remember this. Yogi will not be the Chief Minister forever. Modi will not remain the Prime Minister forever. We Muslims are silent because of the times, but remember we will not forget the injustice. We will remember your injustice. Allah, by his powers, will destroy you, Inshallah. We will remember. Times will change. Then who will come to save you. When Yogi will go back to his mutta, when Modi will go to the mountains, then who will come to save you. Remember, we will not forget”.

Interestingly, while Owaisi played the victim and filed a complaint, leading to an FIR, no FIR has been filed against Owaisi for this provocative speech that he delivered in Uttar Pradesh. The speech of Owaisi that is going viral appears to be from the 12th of December from Kanpur.

Days after a poor man was lynched in a Gurudwara in Kapurthala in Punjab for stealing a few pieces of rotis, politicians continue to blame him of sacrilege. After Punjab Police registered a case against the dead man for sacrilege of the Nisan Sahib at the Gurudwara and almost all politicians in the state supporting the recent cases of lynching, AAP MP Bhagwant Mann has gone ahead saying that the man should have come under a bus.

Mann made the comments at a rally at the Jandiala Guru assembly constituency in Punjab on Tuesday.

Bhagwant Mann refused to accept the police version that the man was mentally unstable, and accused the police of trying to close the case using it as an excuse. He asked if the man was mentally unstable, why he didn’t come under a bus and go to the Gurudwara instead.

‘If he is insane, he sees only Guru Sahib? Why didn’t he come under a vehicle?’, Mann said. He also asked if the man was insane, why he didn’t go to his father, mother, sister, but only went to the Shri Guru Granth Sahib.

Mann said that the case has been wrapped up by terming the man as mentally unstable.

The AAP leader had also said that had the Congress government punished the accused in the 2015 Bargari sacrilege case, such incidents would have stopped and the incidents at the Golden Temple and in the Kapurthala village would not have happened. “Had the accused been prosecuted, no one would have dared indulge in such heinous activities,” he said.

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati has claimed that her party will repeat the 2007 performance in the upcoming assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, and will form the government. She also accused BJP and SP of inciting communal conflicts ahead of the elections and warned people against the same.

BSP had gained the absolute majority by winning 206 seats in the 403 seat Uttar Pradesh assembly in the 2007 assembly elections, and had formed the government with Mayawati as the chief minister.

Addressing a press conference, Mayawati said that other parties like BJP and SP are only talking about Hindu-Muslim to hide their failures during their governments. “The opposition parties, including the BJP, Samajwadi Party and others, are busy painting a Hindu-Muslim colour to the elections to hide their shortcomings. The BSP people will have to go to every village and every house to warn the people. This task must begin now,” Mayawati said.

The BSP chief also questioned BJP’s claim of winning more than 300 seats in the assembly elections next year. She said that if BJP was confident of winning above 300 seats, so many top leaders of the party would not have visited Uttar Pradesh to make announcements, lay foundation stones and inaugurate “half-baked” projects in the state just ahead of the elections.

Mayawati said that SP is following a similar approach, but public is smart enough to see through it. Therefore, it is sure that BSP will come to power after the elections, she said.

She also added that now people in the state want change, and have decided to install BSP in power in Uttar Pradesh.

On the allegations of some MLAs and officials purchasing land around Ram Mandir site in Ayodhya after the Supreme Court verdict, Mayawati called it a serious matter and demanded that the Supreme Court should intervene in the matter. “It is a very serious matter. My party would want the Supreme Court to take notice and if the allegations are true, the state government needs to get the deals cancelled,” she said.

Mayawati also informed reporters that she has convened a meeting of in-charges of all the 18 divisions and all 75 district presidents to review poll preparations.

Autopsy report reveals man lynched in Kapurthala Gurudwara had 30 sword-inflicted cuts, Punjab police yet to file FIR against accused

Gory details have surfaced as the investigation into the lynching case at the Kapurthala Gurudwara in Punjab continues. According to the autopsy report of the man who was lynched to death at a Gurudwara in Kapurthala, Punjab, he had 30 deep wounds on his body. The injuries, mostly sharp cuts, were likely to have been inflicted by swords on his whole body, the post-mortem report has revealed.

Confirming the same, Senior Medical Officer Narinder Singh told the media that a five-member board of doctors from the local civil hospital conducted the autopsy.

The autopsy report suggested that the unidentified man had deep cuts on his neck, head, chest and right hip of the body. He must have become breathless after a deep cut on the neck, said the report. The five-member board also took the viscera of the deceased man for chemical examination to ascertain whether he had consumed any intoxicants. The doctors took samples of the man’s hair, teeth and blood for his DNA test.

Despite this, the police are yet to register an FIR against the accused.

According to reports, since no one came forward to claim the body of the lynched man, the police took the body in its vehicle to the cremation ground for his last rites and handed it over to officials of the local municipal corporation for the cremation.

Surinder Singh, a city Deputy Superintendent of Police who was also present in the hospital, told reporters that police tried everything they could to determine his identity, but no one came forward to claim the body even after 72 hours had passed after the lynching incident.

In response to a question about the registration of a murder case against the accused, the DSP stated that police are investigating the incident and would file a report based on their findings. No murder case has been filed so far, he said.

It may be noted here that the Punjab police have not yet filed an FIR against the people who killed the man, but there is an FIR against the victim of a brutal mob lynching who was beaten to death.

OpIndia had reported how the Punjab police had taken a U-turn after receiving mysterious phone calls during the presser. We reported how Inspector General of Police Gurinder Singh Dhillon and SSP HPS Khakh, had, at first, confirmed that two FIRs had been filed in the case, one of which had been registered against the accused mob. But they quickly changed their stance after they received at least 8 phone calls during the 45 minutes press conference.

After speaking on the phone, the police officials immediately backtracked. Quickly amending their statement, IG Dhillon confirmed to the press that FIR 306 had not been filed only FIR 305 had been registered. Meaning, that no FIRs have been filed against the persons who killed the man, but an FIR has been filed against the victim of the vicious mob lynching.

IG Dhillon confirmed that a case under Section 295-A (hurting religious sentiments of people) of the IPC on the statement of Gurdwara manager Amarjit Singh has been registered against the youth who was lynched. 

Kapurthala Gurudwara caretaker was pro-Khalistani ultra

Here it becomes imperative to note that Gurdwara manager Amarjit Singh, based on whose statement the Punjab police registered a case against the victim, is said to have shady antecedents. OpIndia reported on December 22 how caretaker Amarjit Singh frequently visited Pakistan and had worked as a pro-Khalistani ultra before turning into a CAT commando. CAT refers to pro-Khalistani terrorists in the early 90s who had switched sides and had become police informers for under-cover operations.

He was also in touch with a top Punjab police official, who had managed to remain in plum postings during SAD and Congress governments. As per police, at least three contacts were established between Amarjit and the top police officer on the day of the lynching as Kapurthala comes under the Jalandhar zone.

The man was at Gurudwara looking for food

Reports have suggested that the man was at Gurudwara hoping to find some food. He was spotted by a volunteer in the kitchen. The man tried to escape but was apprehended by the sewadars or volunteers. He was later beaten to death before police could take him away. He was rushed to the hospital, where he was declared brought dead.

Reports also say that he had deep cut marks on his body. Videos have emerged of the Gurudwara in charge where he is inciting people saying the man (victim) has committed blasphemy while admitting that he was caught taking Rotis at the kitchen. The victim is seen tied up, barely conscious in the video.
