Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Somnath Bharti has been sent to judicial custody for 14 days after misbehaving with police officials in Uttar Pradesh. Ink was thrown at him while he was on his way to visit government schools in Rae Bareli. Following the ink attack, an enraged Bharti resorted to dishing out death threats to Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath.

Somnath Bharti said, “Shocked to learn that my bail application has been kept pending till 13th January n I am sent to judicial custody of 14 days.” “Nothing is going to happen from this. Yogi Adityanath’s death is assured. You have helped the attacker escape. You need to understand this. Tell Yogi Adityanath he would not achieve from such attacks,” Somnath Bharti had said earlier in the day.
The AAP leader was attacked while he was embroiled in a heated argument with a police officer who had stopped him from visiting the schools. After the incident, Bharti was detained in the guest house itself while the man who threw ink on him managed to escape.
“I will get you sacked. Bear this in mind. I can identify all of you. I will get all the officers who are trying to stop me today sacked,” said Somnath Bharti while threatening the police officer who stopped him from leaving the guesthouse.
The trouble for NDTV founders Prannoy Roy and his wife, Radhika Roy, is only increasing with every passing day. In a new development, the Securities Appellate Tribunal (SAT) has directed the two to deposit 50 per cent of the disgorged amount, earned fraudulently through insider trading of NDTV shares, before market regulator SEBI within four weeks.
It furthered that if NDTV deposits the said amount within the stipulated time, the media network would not be required to make the payment of the balance amount during the pendency of the appeal before SAT. According to SEBI orders, the total amount that couple needs to shelf out, either jointly or individually, amounts to Rs 16.97 crore along with 6% interest per annum.
The tribunal, in two separate orders passed on January 4, noted that the appeals filed by the Roy couple needed consideration and directed the appeals to be listed before the tribunal for final disposal on February 10, 2021.
SEBI forbids Prannoy Roy and Radhika Roy from trading in the securities market for two years
It is pertinent to note here that NDTV founders Prannoy Roy and his wife, Radhika Roy had filed an appeal against a SEBI order passed in November, barring the couple from trading in the securities market for two years, and directed them to return the illegal gain of Rs 16.97 crore they had made from the insider trading more than 12 years ago.
According to an investigation conducted by SEBI, the two have violated the Prohibition of Insider Trading (PIT) Regulations. They are accused of possessing Unpublished Price Sensitive Information (UPSI) during 2007-2008 relating to discussion on reorganization of New Delhi Television Ltd.
NDTV involved in fraud to a tune of Rs 16 crores
The duo had reportedly bought 48,35,850 NDTV shares on December 26, 2007 at the rate of ₹400per share. On April 17, 2008, they sold 49,13,676 shares at the rate of ₹435.10per share. Therefore, they made a gain of ₹16,97,38,335 on the 48,35,850 shares bought during the UPSI period.
Besides the duo, India’s capital market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has also found the media network’s CEO Vikramaditya Chandra, senior advisor Ishwari Prasad Bajpai, group CFO Saurav Banerjee guilty of making undue gain from insider trading.
There is an odd tweet by Justin Trudeau from 2011 that has caught the attention of people on the platform recently. Steve Faguy, a Montreal Gazette copy editor, reported in April 2011 on his personal website that the QR code on the posters of Justin Trudeau, who was the Liberal Party candidate for the Quebec riding of Papineau, led to a porn site.
Faguy reported, “Unfortunately for Trudeau, whoever generated the QR code for his campaign poster made a typo. Instead of typing in “liberal.ca” – the website for the Liberal Party of Canada – he or she typed in “luberal.ca”, the site of an organization devoted to “encouraging the liberal use of lube” in sexual encounters.”
He said that the Trudeau’s campaign staff was rushing to fix the problem. The report is probably what prompted Justin Trudeau to make the announcement on Twitter. Fortunately, however, there is a catch. The report was published on the 1st of April and as it turns out, it was an April Fools’ prank.
A short while later, Trudeau commented on the blog post, “Very cute. Got me for a sec, I almost called my office in a panic, until I remembered it was April 1st. And the QR code actually links to justin.ca.” Thus, it appears that the King of Gaffes did not commit a gaffe on this occasion after all.

Ahead of the upcoming elections in the State of West Bengal, Trinamool Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sukhendu Shekhar Roy has stirred a controversy by threatening violence against ‘outsiders’.
While speaking to ANI, Sukhendu referred to BJP leaders, campaigning in the State, as ‘outsiders.’ He warned that if the ‘outsiders’ try to disrupt the peace in West Bengal, then, Bengalis will rise up against them and might resort to armed resistance. “Prior to polls, you will see an influx of outsiders like that of BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya. Soon, the BJP leader who said, ‘goli maaro’ would land here and send his goons with weapons,” the TMC leader alleged.
Sukhendu said, “I appeal to the people of West Bengal to refrain from listening to outsiders. If anyone tries to disrupt the ‘peace and harmony’ of the State, then, we will take all necessary steps to prevent it.” While highlighting the story of Sheikh Mujibur Rehman’s freedom struggle against Pakistan to justify ‘political violence’ by TMC goons, he emphasised, “Take up arms against the outsiders… We do not want to take up arms. But, remember, when Bengal starts an armed struggle, the whole country will shake.”

Recently, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had alleged that Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers vandalised BJP Leader Suvendu Adhikari’s Nandigram office. The incident took place on Saturday night. BJP has demanded that the persons behind the incident should be arrested. Kanisha Panda said that TMC was using muscle power against the BJP. He said, “We protested against an incident caused by TMC Harmad cadres at Nandigram. We want to say that they are using muscle power. The administration is with you and that’s why you are able to get away with it.”
Another BJP leader, Krishnendu Mukherjee, narrowly escaped an onslaught of bullets in Asansol, West Bengal. As per reports, the incident took place on Sunday night when three unidentified men, allegedly from the TMC, open fired at the BJP leader’s convoy near his residence in Hirapur in Asansol. According to Mukherjee, he was returning home from Kolkata and had stopped his car outside his residence. When his driver stepped out to open the gate, three armed gunmen fired bullets at his car, the marks of which are clearly visible on the vehicle.
The Mumbai police have today detained ‘activist’ Harshali Potdar, one of the accused in the Bhima Koregaon case for a case registered against her in MRA Marg Police Station for sharing a controversial social media post against the state government during the coronavirus lockdown. The detention came after sessions court on Wednesday rejected the anticipatory bail plea of Potdar. The news was shared on the microblogging site by the official Twitter handle of Bhima Koregaon Shourya Din Prerana Abhiyan’s Elgar Parishad 2021.
Harshali Potdar, one of the organisers of Elgar Parishad and activist of Republican Pathers Jaatiantachi Chalval has been detained by @MumbaiPolice (MRA marg police station) this afternoon 11th Jan 2021. Her anticipatory bail was denied by session court on Wednesday.
The organisation also took to its official Facebook page to reshare a post by a frontal organization of banned terrorist organization CPI (Maoist), Kabir Kala Manch, which alleged that the Mumbai police had implicated Harshali Potdar in a fake case.
According to reports, the sessions court while rejecting Potdar’s anticipatory bail application, had also revoked the interim protection granted to her by the court on August 29 last year.

Potdar had allegedly shared a Facebook post written by Mohsin Shaikh, that criticised the state government for targeting Tablighi Jamaat and the Muslim community for spreading corona.
Fearing arrest, she had moved a pre-arrest bail plea before a sessions court here on August 27, 2020. Advocate Ishrat Khan, appearing for Potdar, had submitted that no case is made out against her. The lawyer had told the court that the entire case was bogus and alleged that since she is a social worker, the prosecution intends to implicate her in false cases.
Harshali Potdar named as accused in Bhima Koregaon case by Pune police
It may be recalled that Harshali Potdar’s name had also appeared in one of the FIRs registered by Pune police in connection with 2017 Bhima Koregaon Elgar Parishad case. Potdar’s name had emerged in the draft charges filed by Pune police in December 2019, against 19 out of the 23 accused booked in the Elgar Parishad case under sections of the IPC and Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) for their alleged links with the banned CPI (Maoist).
According to the draft charges, the accused allegedly conspired “to incite people and create violence and to spread disaffection towards government established by law”. It also mentioned that the accused allegedly “conspired to wage a war against the government of India and state government… organised Rs 8 crore for annual supply of M4 (sophisticated weapon) with 4 lakh rounds and others arms, ammunition through designated supplier from Nepal and Manipur and conspired to assassinate Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the lines of Rajiv Gandhi-type incident during his roadshows.”
What is the Bhima Koregaon Elgar Parishad Case?
The event by the name of “Elgar Parishad” was organised to commemorate the Battle of Bhima Koregaon of 1818, wherein the Peshwas fought against the between East India Company. In the war, an army of Dalit soldiers had fought under the British forces against the Peshwa, the reason for the celebration by Dalits. In 2018, it was the 200 year anniversary of the war and extreme violence erupted over the matter.
Soon after, the case was transferred to the NIA. So far, 16 people have been arrested in the case as accused — Jyoti Raghoba Jagtap, Sagar Tatyaram Gorkhe, Ramesh Murlidhar Gaichor, Sudhir Dhawale, Surendra Gadling, Mahesh Raut, Shoma Sen, Rona Wilson, Arun Ferreira, Sudha Bharadwaj, Varavara Rao, Vernon Gonsalves, Anand Teltumbde, Gautam Navlakha, Hany Babu and Father Stan Swamy.

“What they want to do is increase their power to monitor political groups, infiltrate them, to criminalize activities that are currently not criminalized nor should they be, whether it be advocacy of speech or other things,” Greenwald said.
He also said that people associated with Joe Biden are saying explicitly that the new law being discussed will not be applied to non-state actors or foreign citizens, it is going to be directed at Americans. He said that the strategy so far has been clear regarding what happens when Donald Trump leaves office, who has been extremely profitable for them.

The most innovative and fascinating touchpoint (other than the obvious Instagram stories, posts and live shows) being YouTube live streams. They do not just live stream with their jokes or chat shows with fellow comedians, as one might think, but they live stream gaming. Be it something as chill as PubG or as serious as Chess.
The credit for this discovery goes to my friend. These live streams are protected and cannot be viewed if you are not a part of it. You might be able to find some snippets and from those snippets, one might just think what’s wrong with live streaming games? Well here’s how it starts. You join their private game rooms.
They make you feel privileged because you get to play and talk with them. They subtly plant political, religious and communal ideas and casually get back to playing. These live streams are full of abuses, vulgar names, crass passing comments on prominent leaders and subtle brainwashing against topics that can lead to potential violence or conflict (which is common in their stand up shows).

A prominent example is of the comedian Samay Raina (winner of Comicstaan) who live streams the game of Chess with eminent personalities like Vishwanathan Anand and International Chess Grandmasters like Magnus Carlsen and Judit Polgar. What is surprising is Samay Raina is popular for his controversial stands like supporting the protest against CAA, controversial statements on Kashmir, anti-Modi rants etc, and yet manages to share space with National winners like Vishwanathan Anand under the garb of making chess popular amongst the youth.
The lockdown has unfortunately given them a boost wherein these thugs of comedy randomly go live with their fellow comedians to chill (apparently). These chilling videos of them randomly mocking Janta curfew efforts, callously talking of the ruling government, abusing after every second word to sound cool get more than 5 million views with continuously flowing superchats.
Post a ban on PubG, Tanmay Bhatt can be seen mocking this decision. In one of his videos, he is seen requesting Prime Minister Modi to ban another Asian nation instead like a Singapore or Japan and unban PubG. The video also talks about their modus operandi and how they are left to survive on random live streams. Ok! Honestly, I envy them now. What’s easier than earning through abusing?

While we are on the topic of subtle brainwashing, here’s a classic example. In this particular sketch, a comedian named Daniel Fernandes mocks and shames a Kashmiri in the audience for supporting BJP. When the person from the audience says, “They (BJP) is doing a lot of work there and I support BJP”, a person from the audience yells, “Pagal hai kya?”. This is where Daniel jumps in and adds, “We cannot force people to be smart about their political choices.” He then reiterates his question when the person says, “he has been taught something by his parents” to which Daniel cross-questions, “Did they teach to agree with the ones who kill you?” very conveniently alleging BJP workers are murderers.
And then they want us to believe that ‘it’s all in the name of comedy’. Well, this is not where the buck stops. In fact, this is just one of the mediums used by the leftist to woo the young audience. Organizing fancy, woke and liberal protests, making them feel like a victim while calling them intellectuals, flaring speeches, cross-dressing, public kissing events are some other popular ways to trap the young minds. They claim to liberate them, only to cage them in their propaganda.
Another popular medium to engage with the young population during the lockdown period was the OTT platform. Releasing Hinduphobic content is almost a compulsion to be able to feature on an OTT platform. The signs are no longer subtle. Saffron clad mob chasing a man to lynch, dhongi pandit, angry Hanuman sticker on the car of the villain, it’s right in our face, fed forcefully till we are tricked into believing it. For the ones who do not consume video content, there are books by random authors available on Kindle.
A recent report suggested how Amazon Kindle Editions are selling porn and rape literature specifically depicting Muslim men and Hindu women. So here’s a definite trap for the ones who prefer books over series. This leaves me wondering, where are we heading as a society. What role are parents playing in the lives of their children? As the Indian government gears up for the world’s largest immunisation exercise against COVID-19, it has reportedly placed orders of the COVID-19 vaccine prepared by the Pune-based Serum Institute of India.

The Serum Institute on India on Monday said it has received purchased order from the Centre for the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine, news agency ANI quoted SII officials as confirming. The officials further said that the vaccine would be available at Rs 200 per vial.
According to the report published by Reuters, the Indian government will now be buying 11 million doses of Serum Institute of India’s locally made Oxford Covid-19 vaccine ‘Covishield’ via HLL Care. The report further mentioned that the government has inked a purchase agreement with Bharat Biotech for its COVID-19 vaccine as well.
The Indian government plans to procure 600 million doses for India’s vaccination blitz that aims to inoculate 300 million citizens over the next six to eight months, the Reuters report said.
The purchase agreements have been signed days after the government authorised emergency use of COVID-19 vaccines made by Serum Institute and Bharat Biotech. On 3 January, India’s drug regulator Drugs Controller General of India(DCGI) had approved emergency use authorization of the vaccine developed by Oxford University as well as another developed by Indian firm Bharat Biotech.
PM Modi holds meeting with chief ministers to review COVID-19 vaccine rollout
As the Indian government sends orders to procure the COVID-19 vaccine, PM Modi today is holding a meeting with chief ministers of all states to review the Covid-19 vaccine rollout plan set to begin this week. The first phase of the COVID-19 vaccination exercise is expected to start from January 16 with health care workers, frontline workers and the elderly.
The meeting, being held virtually, is also attended by Home Minister Amit Shah. The goal of the meeting is to review the coordination between the Centre and the states to ensure efficient delivery of vaccination and efficient management of drive. The Indian government aims to vaccinate health workers, both government and private, on a priority basis.
In what could be seen as a major accomplishment of the Modi government, the number of terrorist incidents in Jammu and Kashmir in the year 2020 decreased by 63.93 per cent as compared to the corresponding period in 2019, the Home Ministry revealed while giving a brief about the Central government’s annual achievements. The data shared by the MHA was until November 15, 2020.
As per an ANI report, MHA also briefed that the fatalities of Special Forces Personnel saw a decrease of 29.11 per cent while the casualties of civilians also declined by 14.28 per cent last year.
While sharing the information, MHA opined that adaptation of central laws in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and the Union Territory of Ladakh is one of the key achievements of the Central government.
“Orders were notified for adaptation of 48 Central Laws and 167 State Laws in respect of UT of J&K. Orders relating to adaptation of 44 Central Laws and 148 State Laws in UT of Ladakh were also notified,” MHA said, furthering that “The Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Removal of Difficulties) Order, 2020 was notified on 31.03.2020. It removes difficulties with regard to section 75 of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, 2019 for administering oath to new judges appointed to the common High Court for Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. A Bench of Central Administrative Tribunal was established at Jammu on 08.06.2020.”
Throwing light on the effective implementation of the Prime Minister Development Package in the region, the MHA revealed that almost 36,384 displaced families from Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Chhamb have been provided with a one-time financial aid of Rs 5.5 lakh per family.
Moreover, as many as 5,764 families of West Pakistan Refugees (WPRs) have also been provided similar assistance, on par with the displaced families from Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Chhamb.
Central government revokes Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on August 5, 2019, had announced the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A in Parliament, which resulted in the bifurcation of the state of Jammu and Kashmir into two union territories.
The Central Government had earlier said that it has adopted a policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism and has taken various measures, such as strengthening of security apparatus, strict enforcement of law against anti-national elements, intensified cordon and search operations to effectively deal with the challenges posed by the terrorist organisations.
Notably, the number of Kashmiri youths joining Islamic terrorist groups has also reduced significantly in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, since the revocation of Article 370. In July 2020 it was reported that there had been a reduction of more than 40 per centin Kashmiri youths joining terrorist groups. The number of youths who joining terrorist groups fell to 67 between January 1 and July 15, 2020, compared to 105 a year ago, while terror incidents also reduced from 188 to 120 during that period.
A Hindu Rashtra, when shallowly thought of, occurs as a theocratic country where only practising Hindus could reside in, where the law would side with Hindus whenever a dispute arises with other communities. It is thought of as a country where non-Hindu communities would face brutal oppression, and be either suppressed or exiled. Though this notion is incorrect, the Left ecosystem has successfully manufactured this narrative in a bid to terrify non-Hindus living in Bharat, polarising them for political gains.
Unlike the narrative peddled by the Left, a Hindu Rashtra by its very essence is inclusive to people of other faiths, as evident by the various historical accounts which prove that Hindu kingdoms were never hostile to people of foreign faiths.
Bharat has seen the entry of several communities, giving them opportunities to flourish and start life afresh in their new motherland. Never in Bharat’s entire history has a Hindu kingdom forced other communities to convert to Sanatan Dharma, and has always embraced new settlers as guests.
As seen in history, those who faced oppression elsewhere found refuge in our motherland and weren’t troubled by the local Hindu monarchs. For instance, several Jews from Europe came to Bharat seeking refuge after the commencement of Inquisitions in their homeland, which saw most of their tribe be forcefully converted to Christianity. The Jews were given a dignified life in India and no Hindu kingdom imposed restrictions on their faith, nor did we commit mass genocides of the Jewish community to the likes of Muslim rulers like Tipu Sultan.
The root of this false narrative of a Hindu Rashtra being oppressive against minorities lies in the deep insecurity of people from the Abrahamic faith. The followers of Abraham look upon the concept of Hindu Rashtra as a mirror, in which they see a reflection of their own past and presume that we would do exactly what they did to us. History has shown that intolerance tends to be the basis of Abrahamic religions, with all of them warring against each other in places where they come in contact.

As MS Golwalkar, popularly referred to as ‘Guruji’, rightly puts it in Bunch of Thoughts:
“The first Semitic religion was Judaism, an intolerant faith. It was this intolerance that nailed Christ on the Cross. Then came Christianity, the child of the former. That too was equally intolerant. Doubtless Christ was a great saint. But later, what went on in the name of Christ had nothing to do with him. It was no Christianity but only ‘Churchianity’. The saying “There was but one true Christian and he died on the Cross” is true to the letter.
The Christians committed all sorts of atrocities on the Jews by giving them the label ‘Killers of Christ’. Hitler is not an exception but a culmination of the 2000-year long oppression of the Jews by the Christians.
Then came Islam – a long story of ‘Sword and Koran’ written in the tears and blood of millions of innocent human beings. It’s latest chapter of ‘Pakistan’, the self-declared theocratic Islamic State, is no different with the entire Hindu population butchered and driven out from its western wing and the same process continuing in its eastern wing. All these have ingrained in their blood intolerance of other faiths.”

Hindus don’t want the blood of minorities despite the pathetic oppression they levied upon us during their reign, all we want is the disposal of the hard shells they’ve developed in their heads, making them feel like they are “different” from the local majority population.
The Jews and Parsis managed to peck aside their differences and merged their heart and soul with their new motherland, emerging as a prosperous community in Bharat. This is yet to be learnt by a few Muslims and Christians, who find pride in being associated with our motherland’s past oppressors.
Many members of these two specific communities do not believe that the ones who were persecuted by these rulers were one of their own. They pride themselves with the sadistic accomplishments of these invaders, thinking that these accomplishments should be credited to their ancestors.
What they fail to understand is that the oppressors they fan about all day had slaughtered their very ancestors. A vast majority of them were forced to convert due to the barbaric measures employed by the Arabic and European invaders and had a little-to-no contribution in the rise of the invading empires. Glorifying these barbarians is equivalent to spitting on the memory of their bloodline.
What is a Hindu Rashtra?
A ‘Hindu Rashtra’ isn’t a new concept as a political entity, as it was seen for thousands of years before the barbarians stepped foot on our motherland. Even if we look at the Hindu kingdoms that existed during the Islamic reign, no citizen was discriminated against on the score of religion.
A beautiful example of this can be seen during the time of Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj, who appointed several Muslim commanders in his army and never restricted local Muslims and Christians from following their faith. Several of his most trusted aides belonged to the Muslim community, such as his navy chief Darya Sarangh and lieutenant Daulat Khan. On the death of Afzal Khan too, Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj facilitated the Islamic burial of him at Pratapgarh fort, despite his treacherous attempt to assassinate the great Maratha king. Several accounts also record donations made by the Maratha king to Dargahs and Mosques.
Socially and culturally, Bharat has always been a Hindu Rashtra. The very essence of Bharat’s social and cultural structure is based on the Sanatan Dharma. This can be seen amongst the old Christians of South India as well; it is only in Bharat that you’d see Christians put a maala of flowers on pictures of Mary and Christ, and it is only in Bharat that you’d see them singing Bhajans of Jesus (or Yeshu, as they like to call him). The fact is, you cannot separate the Sanatan way of living and worship from an Indian, no matter how hard you try to influence his faith and lifestyle.
If you look at it from a legal perspective, a Hindu Rashtra won’t exactly be very different from the current legislation except on key matters, such as the issue of temple autonomy, the ban on cow slaughter and reclamation of temples that were previously razed by barbarians. It will also put an end to minority appeasement for political gain since the state would try to benefit the entire society than just one or two communities.
A Hindu Rashtra would never harm those who pledge their loyalty to the motherland and don’t make intentional attempts to outrage the sentiments of the majority populace. As a part of its dharma, the administration of a Hindu Rashtra will look upon all its citizens equitably, since it is the moral and religious duty of it to work for the welfare of society.
