Subramanian Swamy writes ‘Russia is not a friend of India’, Russian Embassy says, ‘not just friends, but Russia is a soulmate of India’: Details

The Russian Embassy in India has denounced the article penned by Dr Subramanian Swamy in the Sunday Guardian on October 31, 2020, in which he argued that Russia is no longer a friend that India could trust in its conflict against China.

A statement titled “Russia is not just a friend-but a soulmate of India” was released by the Russian Embassy, which was also shared on its official social media pages. In its statement, the Russian Embassy has expressed its “regrets” over Swamy’s article, adding that it provided a misleading view of the true understanding of the entire course of development, current state and prospects of the Russian-Indian strategic partnership.

Assailing the article, the Russian embassy’s statement read that the essay “demonstrated a lack of knowledge of the modern Russian realities that equates relevant assessments in the article with the geopolitically motivated groundless and biased approach by some Western news agencies”.

It further added that Russia enjoys productive and trusted relations with all the political parties in the country. Be it Congress, when the early bilateral relations between the two countries were established or the current ruling regime BJP, under the aegis of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee, a rule the Declaration of the Strategic Partnership was signed between the two countries, the post said.

The Russian Embassy also mentioned that under the “Make in India” and “Atmanirbhar Bharat” initiatives, the two countries are on an unparalleled joint endeavour in the nuclear power sector or trusted defence cooperation with real technology transfer, advanced localization of production and even cooperation with third countries.

“Coinciding global priorities make Russia and India truly likeminded. Our multilateral partnership in the framework of #G20, #BRICS, #SCO, etc. is based on the solid ground of our common priority to proceed towards just and the equal multipolar world with the central role of the United Nations and international law as well as undivided security,” the statement further read.

Regarding the Indo-Sino border standoff, Russia encouraged the two countries to resolve the dispute through constructive dialogue. The statement noted that disagreements between India and China have provided some “dishonest elements” with an opportunity to drive a wedge between the bilateral relations.

“So, the Russian-Indian ties are unique, and they cannot be harmed by a single misleading article, which by no means have any link to the reality and, of course, doesn’t reflect any official position,” the statement concluded.

Russia will align with China to revive its power and prestige: Dr Subramanian Swamy

In his scathing article, Dr Subramanian Swamy raised apprehensions over Russia’s commitment to friendship with India. Swamy alleged in his article that Russia can no longer be trusted as it sees collaboration with China as the only path to the revival of Kremlin’s prestige and power.

Swamy claims in his article that Russia is a “junior partner” of China, stating that Russia acts keeping in mind the interests of China. Swamy added that India’s growing reliance on Russia for the weapons is dangerous, considering the Chinese electronics used in their making and the close bond shared between Russian president Vladimir Putin and Chinese Premier Xi Jinping. Recently, Russia had also announced that “could enter into a military alliance with China”.

The firebrand politician also sharply noted that Nehru was fooled into believing that Russia was India’s closest ally. “Nehru was fooled into thinking that leaders in Moscow were permanent friends, but in fact, we Indians were more like “Pavlovian dogs”, that is, those who complied on signals from Moscow,” Swamy stated.

Swamy asserts that if India has a conflict with China, it can no longer trust Russia. He said that the dream of isolating China through Russia is myopic and concluded that “Russia is no more a friend of India in the sense of standing up with India against China”.

Nizamul Khan is believed to have been assisted by two accomplices, Amit Gupta and Sumit Sharma, in murdering Kamal Sharma. One of the accomplices is believed to be a smack addict. The aides have been arrested as well. Nizamul Khan has over 9 lakh followers on his YouTube channel where he shared videos of himself performing stunts on his bike among other things.

Nizamul Khan lived on rent in Gijhod while his family is in Sorakha in Noida. The Police have also said that they will investigate whether the deceased’s sister played any role in the murder. Sumit is believed to have helped Khan because he was paid money and Amit used to borrow money from Khan for drugs.

Congress leader Anuj Mishra, accused of sexual harassment, used to make vulgar phone calls to women

The Congress party has been surrounded in a new controversy after its district President, Anuj Mishra, in Jalaun in Uttar Pradesh was accused of sexually harassing two women. Mishra was seen pleading and apologising to the women, in a viral video, after they grabbed him by the collar and publically thrashed him with shoes.

In a new development, the two women have now submitted the call recordings wherein Mishra had allegedly used vulgar and sexually suggestive words while talking with them over the phone. Besides allegations of harassment and abusive words, Mishra has now been accused of making vulgar calls to the victims. As per a report in Amar Ujala, he would allegedly pester the victims to meet him alone. The Congress District President had also threatened the victims when they said that she would approach the police.

The accused was earlier seen posing with Congress scion Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.

Anuj Mishra arrested, sent to police custody

On Monday, the cops arrested Congress district President (Jalaun), Anuj Mishra, over charges of sexual harassment. He was presented before the District Sessions Court and was sent to 14-days in judicial custody. The Congress leader will be lodged at the Orai District prison.

Santosh Kumar, Circle Officer Orai police, informed that a case was registered against Anuj Mishra under Indian Penal Code (IPC) Section 354 (assault to outrage modesty of a woman). He added, “A case of sexual harassment has been registered in the matter (Congress district president Anuj Mishra being beaten up by two women for allegedly sexually harassing them). Both parties have known each other for years, we are investigating the case.”

As CBI opposes FIR, Mumbai Police says they are probing if Sushant Singh Rajput mental health deteriorated after sisters’ medical prescription

Almost five months on, the Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case is nowhere near to closure. Every second day a new aspect appears in the case, which needs further investigation. Days after the CBI opposed an FIR filed against Sushant Singh Rajput’s sisters on Rhea Chakraborty’s complaint in the Bombay High Court, the Mumbai Police on Monday told Bombay High Court that Sushant Singh Rajput’s mental health may have deteriorated after his sisters gave him medicines.

Defending the registration of FIR against Sushant Singh Rajput’s sisters at the behest of actor Rhea Chakraborty, Mumbai police stated in an affidavit before the Bombay High Court that the concerned police officer at Bandra police station was duty-bound to register the FIR after receiving information for commission of a cognisable offence as per provisions of Section 154 of CrPC.

Bandra Police’s senior inspector Nikhil Kapse in the affidavit submitted in Bombay HC refuted the allegations that the Mumbai police were damaging the reputation of the petitioners (Sushant Singh Rajput’s two sisters in this case) or any deceased person (the actor).

Mumbai police seek dismissal of the petition filed by sisters of Sushant Singh Rajput to quash FIR against them

Seeking dismissal of the petition filed by Sushant Singh Rajput’s two sisters-Priyanka Singh and Meetu Singh to quash the first information report (FIR) lodged against them for alleged forgery and fabrication of a medical prescription for their brother, the Mumbai police said in court: “FIR lodged at Mumbai seeks investigation into the alleged offence of conspiracy, forgery, cheating and conspiracy by petitioners sisters of Sushant Singh Rajput, Dr Tarun Kumar and others for fabricating medical prescription to procure and administer controlled drugs/psychotropic substances to Sushant Singh Rajput without his actual examination. FIR also seeks investigations into the possibility of deterioration of his mental health and eventual suicide pursuant to the said conspiracy.”

The Mumbai police argued in Bombay HC that the FIR against Priyanka and Meetu was registered based on the information provided by the first informant (Rhea Chakraborty), therefore the Mumbai police were not trying to “influence or derail” the probe being carried out by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) by registering the FIR against Rajput’s sisters.

CBI opposes FIR filed by Mumbai police against actor’s sisters

On October 28, CBI, which is currently probing the death case of the actor had told Bombay HC that the FIR filed by Mumbai police against Sushant Singh Rajput’s sisters for allegedly forging and procuring a fake medical prescription for their brother was “vitiated and bad in law”.

The CBI made the arguments in response to a plea filed by Rajput’s sisters – Priyanka Singh and Mitu Singh – seeking to quash the case lodged against them by the Mumbai Police. The FIR was filed based on actor Rhea Chakraborty’s complaint.

Rhea Chakraborty alleged sisters fabricated medical prescription of actor Sushant Singh Rajput

On September 7, Rhea Chakraborty had filed a complaint against the actor’s sisters, alleging that they used a fabricated medical prescription to help him procure medicines banned under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, only a few days before his death. She also named a doctor of the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in Delhi, Tarun Kumar, who allegedly signed the prescription claiming that Sushant died just days after taking the medicines that were ‘prescribed’ by Dr Kumar.

Bihar Assembly elections: Onions pelted at Nitish Kumar’s poll rally at Madhubani’s Harlakhi

While the second phase of the crucial Bihar Assembly elections are underway, the chief minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, was greeted with onions during his election rally at Madhubani’s Harlakhi Vidhan Sabha Constituency.

Shortly after Nitish Kumar assumed the podium, making a pitch to the people to vote for his party and alliance, some miscreants in the crowd started hurling onions at the JDU chief. The security guard quickly came forward and flanked the chief minister to defend him from the attack.

However, Kumar remained unfazed with the onions hurled at him and persisted with his speech, asking people to continue attacking him. Kumar was speaking on unemployment when he was attacked by an unidentified man with onions.

The man who had reportedly hurled onions at Kumar kept shouting that though alcohol is prohibited in the state, it is freely being sold and available everywhere.

This is not the first time that Kumar had to endure an embarrassing attack by the audience in his election rally. Earlier in the past, crowds in his election rallies were heard booing him while shouting slogans in support of the RJD.

The second phase of Bihar polls currently underway

The second phase of the Bihar Assembly elections is currently underway in 94 constituencies across 17 districts of the state. The Nitish Kumar-led Janata Dal (United) is contesting on 43 seats, while its NDA ally BJP is fighting it out 46 seats. Mukesh Sahni’s VIP is contesting the remaining five. On the other hand, RJD is contesting on 56 seats and its partner Congress is battling it out on 24 constituencies. The CPI and CPI(M) are fighting four seats each. The LJP is contesting 52 seats, including the two it had won in 2015 contesting as an NDA constituent.

The districts that are going to polls are Patna, Bhagalpur, Nalanda, West Champaran, East Champaran, Madhubani, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Sheohar, Sitamarhi, Gopalganj, Vaishali, Samastipur, Begusarai, Siwan, Saran and Khagaria.

Among the key faces in this phase of elections are the fodder scam convict Lalu Prasad Yadav’s two sons—Tejashwi Pratap Yadav and Tej Pratap Yadav.

From ‘you pay Rs 400 to become number 1’ to ‘you are a Hawala operator’: Arnab Goswami responds to Parambir Singh’s latest allegations

The war-of-words between the Republic TV Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami and Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh continues, amidst the witch-hunt launched by the Mumbai police against the news network on the behest of the Maharashtra government.

Arnab Goswami has now hit back at the Mumbai Police Commissioner for calling him the biggest Hawala operator in Mumbai. In a statement released by Republic TV, Goswami noted, “Today, the Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh in his latest fake news plant has called me the biggest hawala operator in the city of Mumbai, and the Times of India has enthusiastically carried this news.”

Hitting back at the contradictory statements made by Param Bir Singh, the Republic TV Editor stated, “First, the Mumbai Police led by Param Bir Singh said I was paying Rs. 400/- to become the number 1 news channel. Then, the Mumbai Police said I was paid Rs. 32 lakhs to become the number 1 channel. This too, was proven wrong with statements and documents. Now, they are saying I am carrying out hawala operations, and my hawala operations have made us the number 1 news network. This is the greatest absurdity.”

Arnab Goswami dares Param Bir Singh to arrest him

Arnab Goswami highlighted how the Mumbai Police failed to prove charges against him, despite desperately trying to dig dirt on the news channel. “According to the Mumbai Police, I carried out hawala operations in 2017 for my Hindi channel Republic Bharat. Firstly, Republic Bharat did not exist in 2017. It was launched in 2019. Secondly, this charge proves that despite having all my accounts and ledgers, the Mumbai Police has been unable to prove a single rupee paid by Republic Media Network for TRP manipulation,” he emphasised.

While daring the Mumbai police to arrest him in case of wrongdoing, Arnab Goswami challenged, “If I am indeed one of Mumbai’s biggest hawala operators, and if I am, as Param Bir Singh claims, a hawala kingpin, he should place me under arrest immediately.”

Arnab Goswami reiterates his Hope in Indian Judiciary

In his statement, the Republic TV Editor further added, “The courts of the country are watching this absurdity and the planting of falsehoods despite their observations cautioning the Mumbai Police from such unprofessionalism. The multiple u-turns of the Mumbai Police show that it is floundering as the fake case has collapsed.”

“The Mumbai Police has tried to blackmail and coerce random people into naming Republic. The CBI now has a copy of the tape of their witness coercion. This witch-hunt will end soon because more and more people have seen through Param Bir Singh’s tactics. I am absolutely certain that we will get justice from the courts,” he concluded.

Arnab Goswami invites Param Bir Singh for live, unedited interview

Yesterday, Republic TV had invited Mumbai Commissioner of Police, Param Bir Singh, for a live, unedited interview with the Editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami. In a tweet to Mumbai CP, Republic said that even those who disregard due process must be given a chance to explain or publicly atone or clarify their stand. Hence, Arnab Goswami has invited Singh on a one-on-one unedited live interview.

Mumbai police again summons Kangana Ranaut and sister Rangoli Chandel, FIR includes charges of sedition

The Mumbai Police on Tuesday again issued summons to Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut and her sister Rangoli Chandel and have asked them to be present before it next week. While the Queen actress has to appear before the police on November 10, her sister Rangoli Chandel has been summoned on November 11.

The sisters would need to record their statement in connection to an FIR registered against them, keeping with the Bandra Metropolitan Magistrate’s court which had last month ordered the Mumbai police to investigate a complaint filed by a Bollywood casting director and fitness trainer, Munawwar Ali Sayyed. Sayyed had alleged that they tried to create a divide between communities through social media posts.

Actor Kangana Ranaut and her sister charged with sedition amongst other sections of the IPC

Based on Sayyed’s complaint, FIR against Kangana and Rangoli was registered under IPC sections 153A (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, etc), 295A (deliberate acts hurting religious sentiments) and 34 (common intention) were evoked. Along with these, TIPC section 124A- sedition was also slapped on the duo.

According to Sayyed’s lawyer, the complaint alleged that Ranaut has been defaming Bollywood for the last two months by calling it a “hub of nepotism”, “favouritism” etc through her tweets and television interviews.

“Her sister, too, has made objectionable comments on social media to spread communal tension between two religious groups,” he said.

Metropolitan magistrate Jaydeo Y Ghule said in the order that prima facie “cognisable offence” has been committed by the accused, and directed the Mumbai police to initiate necessary action and investigation against the actor and her sister.

Kangana Ranaut was summoned earlier

The Mumbai Police had also summoned actor Kangana Ranaut and her sister Rangoli Chandel on October 26 and 27 pertaining to the same sedition case. Kangana Ranaut’s lawyer, Rizwan Siddiquee, had then sent a reply to the Bandra police station stating that the sisters are in Himachal Pradesh where they are busy with wedding preparations and on-going functions in their hometown of their younger brother.

Maharashtra Government goes after the actor

Mumbai police has lately been coming down hard on who so ever dares to articulate their views against the state government and Kangana Ranaut is being hounded by the Uddhav Thackeray government for her unequivocal opinions. The faceoff between the Maha Vikas Aghadi government and Kangana which started after the latter had compared Mumbai to Pakistan Occupied Kashmir in the wake of Azaadi graffiti seen on the streets of the city, and the subsequent inaction of the Mumbai Police, landed up subjecting the ‘Queen’ actress to threats of violence, derogatory words by Shiv Sena leader and her house worth crores being demolished. The actor had then alleged that the BMC’s decision to demolish her property was a direct consequence of her comments against the Maharashtra government.

I want to tell the father-son duo, that I am not scared of them: Netizen hounded for criticising Maharashtra govt hits back

0

Activist Sunaina Holey, who was recently hounded by the Uddhav Thackeray government for her criticism against them, has hit back saying that the Maharashtra government cannot take away a citizen’s constitutional rights. The Twitter user, who was arrested for allegedly making ‘offensive’ comments against Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray and Environment Minister Aaditya Thackeray on social media, appeared on a prime time debate on Republic TV to strike back at Maharashtra’s Maha Vikas Aghadi government led by Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray.

Father-son duo have tried their best to silence me: Sunaina Holey

Sunaina Holey, in extremely clear cut words, said that she is not scared of the father-son duo. By father-son duo, she meant Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray and his son Aditya Thackeray. She furthered that they tried their best to silence her but she will not stop criticizing, questioning, and exposing them. “It is my right”, said the activist.

Holey also took to Twitter to state that she cannot be scared or submit to the Maha Govt’s coercion because if she gets scared, billions of voices will be shut. “Your Voice Is My Voice”, wrote Holey thanking Republic TV’s editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami for standing by her and providing her with a platform to riposte to Uddhav Thackeray’s unwarranted threats.

Activist arrested for making ‘offensive’ comments against Maharashtra government on social media.

Maharashtra Police have arrested one Twitter user Sunaina Holey, who goes by the ID @SunainaHoley, on August 6, after a complaint was filed against her by Rohan Chavhan, a leader of the Shiv Sena’s youth wing Yuva Sena. She was accused of making ‘offensive’ comments against Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray and Environment Minister Aaditya Thackeray on social media.

Three FIRs were registered against her in the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) police station, Azad Maidan police station and Tulinj police station respectively.

After receiving bail on August 6, Holey was re-arrested by the Mumbai police for the same ‘offence’.

Maharashtra government stifling voices of dissent

However, Sunaina Holey is not alone who has been in the front line of attack by the Maha Government. Another Twitter user Sameet Thakker became the victim of intolerance of the Maha Aghadi government. Thakker, a resident of Nagpur, was arrested for allegedly calling the son of Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray ‘baby penguin’. A video emerged where he was seen tied with a rope and his face covered with a black cloth as he was being led by the Mumbai police officials.

Only yesterday we reported how BJYM’s peaceful protest was impeded and the workers were forcefully accosted, manhandled and stuffed into the police van by the Mumbai police for daring to raise voice against MVA Government’s predisposition to curb the voice of media.

In fact, several cases in the last few months have surfaced which has highlighted how the Maharashtra Government has always tried to choke the rising voices of dissent. The state government has tried to stifle freedom of expression by filing several random cases against journalists and social media activists who have dared to articulate their views against the Maha Vikas Aghadi government in the state. In fact, influential people like Republic TV editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami, actor Kangana Ranaut have also not been spared.

Man abducted by family of Muslim girlfriend who were planning to extort money from him to finance her marriage to someone else

0

In a strange incident that took place in Thane, Maharashtra, a 20-year old man was reportedly abducted by the family of his Muslim girlfriend on October 31, 2020, as reported by Times of India. The man named Abhishek Gupta had recently moved to Thane and joined an IT firm there. According to Assistant Commissioner (Wagle Estate Division) Jayant Bajbale, Gupta was in a relationship with a girl named Nargis Javed.

As per the TOI report, on October 31, Nargis Javed, who is from Varanasi, called Gupta to meet her in a restaurant in Vasai. When Gupta reached the place, he was abducted by a group of seven persons who first drove him to Manor and then to a flat situated at Virar in Baluchnagar. They assaulted Gupta and called his brother demanding a ransom of Rs 4 lakh.

Upon the complaint by Gupta’s family, the police began searching for Abhishek on the night of November 1. Gupta was rescued by police on November 2, from the flat where he was held captive. Police have arrested the culprits including two women.

Her father planned to extort money for her marriage to someone else

According to reports, the girl’s family was unhappy with her relationship with Gupta as they had already found a match for her. Nagis’ father reportedly hatched a conspiracy to abduct Gupta to teach him a lesson and extort money from him. The money was to be used to finance the woman’s marriage to the person they had chosen for her.

US Presidential Elections 2020 vs 2016: Things feel the same as they did four years ago and yet, they are very different

Four years have passed since Donald Trump pulled off one of the greatest upsets in the history of American politics when he defeated Hillary Clinton to become the 45th President of the United States. And now, only hours remain for voting to end in the 2020 US Presidential Elections and for counting of the votes to begin. A lot has changed since then but a lot remains the same.

Truth be told, the obstacles that Donald Trump has to overcome in 2020 are the same that he defeated in 2016. It is only that there is much better coordination among his rivals now, operating with laser focus to oust him from the White House. Furthermore, certain quarters which had struggled hard to maintain the charade of neutrality are now openly hostile to the prospect of another four years of his Presidency.

Thus, as it was in 2016, Donald Trump is once again up against the nexus between the Democrat party and mainstream media. In addition, almost the entirety of the entertainment industry and Big Business is lined up against him as well. Then there are the Universities which have been working over time to spread garbage propaganda against the US President. But this time, there are two added components into the mix.

The ‘Intelligence Community’, prominent sections of which attempted to enforce a coup of the democratically elected president of the USA, are openly hostile to Donald Trump now. And then there is Big Tech which has long since abandoned even the pretense of neutrality. Twitter, Facebook and Google are all censoring pro-Trump voices with varying degrees. Twitter has gone to the extent of censoring the US President for promising to enforce law and order in the wake of violent riots by left-wing thugs.

Thus, the essential nature of the alliance of the forces arraigned against him have not changed. However, the intensity with which they have been functioning is several times higher than what was witnessed in 2016. Another similarity is the polls which have been regularly predicting a terrible loss for Donald Trump in 2020.

But the polls ought to be taken with a pinch of salt as the overwhelming majority of them were horribly off target in 2016. Multiple news networks believed Hillary Clinton had more than 90% chance of winning the elections with some rating her chances as high as 98%. But eventually, when votes were counted, the Business tycoon pulled off what was unthinkable even hours earlier.

This time, however, things are slightly different with respect to polls. The polls have consistently showed a definitive edge for Joe Biden, a much bigger and more stable lead than they showed for Hillary Clinton. Therefore, if it were even possible, polls demonstrate an even worse scenario for Donald Trump than they did the last time around.

Thus, things as they stand today in terms of his chances of victory are quite similar to how they were in 2016. Almost every establishment figure, excluding Republicans, are convinced that Joe Biden is headed for a landslide victory. The mainstream media and Democrats would have citizens convinced that there is no chance in hell for Donald Trump to repeat his feat for a second time.

Even so, there are voices outside the halls of the left-leaning political elite which believe that Donald Trump will comfortably win the elections. They do not have any solid data to back their claim nor can they base their opinion on a sound basis of fact. But a lot of them are the same people who had correctly predicted the results of the 2016 elections as well based on enthusiasm among voters.

They are relying on their gut feeling that Donald Trump will pull off a massive upset yet again. Donald Trump, meanwhile, appears far more relaxed and comfortable than he did four years ago. It was widely reported, and this journalist is inclined to believe them, that the ‘MadMan-in-Chief’ was himself resigned to the fact that he would lose. But this time around, he can be spotted dancing at his rallies. And one thing that hasn’t changed even now is the massive crowds he continues to attract to his rallies.

It has to be considered, however, that these lone voices on the internet are not the only ones predicting a Trump victory. According to a Gallup poll, 56% of Americans believe Trump will win the elections. All these things considered, things are a lot different now than they were four years ago. In 2016, there was not the looming threat of a civil war across the country. Businesses were not boarded up in anticipation of riots. Months of rioting had not preceded the polling either. Therefore, the atmosphere is much darker now as clouds of uncertainty continues to gather across the horizon.

What has been happening in the United States is much like the movie Parasite, winner of the Academy Award for Best Picture, that gets progressively darker as the story progresses. Turns out, running conspiracy theories such as the Russian Collusion Delusion and comparing a democratically elected president to Adolf Hitler has debilitating effects on the mental health of citizens. As Michael Tracey, who happens to be a progressive himself who is opposed to Donald Trump, correctly pointed out, a Trump defeat is a “win for the lunatics who’ve spent four years subjecting the rest of us an unceasing tsunami of freakish nonsense.”

Furthermore, we have the Wuhan Coronavirus crisis that has thrown the entire world into chaos, the USA being no different. Until the advent of the pandemic, with a booming economy, every poll showed Donald Trump was set to win reelection comfortably. But then, the manner in which the pandemic struck the United States threw all equations into a flux. Trump himself floundered quite a bit in responding to the crisis, like all other heads of state, and that has put his position in extreme jeopardy, making him the underdog.

Then again, Donald Trump is at his best when he is running as the underdog. The greatest difference from 2016, however, is the personal characteristics of his opponent. Everyone will agree, regardless of their political orientation, that Hillary Clinton was a horrible candidate by any measure. And Joe Biden, simply, does not give those evil vibes even though he may be just as corrupt as the Hunted Biden emails reveal.

Case in point, prior to the 2016 Presidential Elections, there was the Pizzagate scandal that created a storm where it was alleged that powerful individuals in the establishment were involved in human trafficking and pedophilia. Links of Hillary Clinton to the whole affair was also suspected as Bill Clinton is infamous for his dalliances. Then, there was the ‘Clinton body count’ which documented people close to Hillary who tended to end up dead in mysterious circumstances.

There was no hard evidence to link Hillary Clinton to any of these incidents but she was herself so corrupt and her husband was so evil that people considered well under the realm of possibilities that they would be involved in such crimes. We were told that Pizzagate was a hoax but then the same people would have us believe that noted pedophile Jeffery Epstein, with deep links to the US political establishment, actually committed suicide. But as we all know, Epstein did not kill himself.

Joe Biden is simply not such a person. He may be a geriatric with early onset dementia who cannot always identify his wife from his sister and often, he does not even know which state he is in, but people would have a hard time convincing others that he is involved in the creepy and evil stuff that they suspected Hillary’s involvement in. Joe Biden himself has a habit of behaving inappropriate around women and minor girls but even so, he emanates the vibes of the neighbourhood grandpa who is far past his sell-by date.

Joe biden may be a fool and a clown but people have a hard time believing that he is evil, which is not the case with Hillary Clinton. And that makes Donald Trump’s job much more difficult. That is perhaps the reason why the Trump Campaign has focused so much on Kamala Harris, who gives off the same vibes as Hillary Clinton and is a certifiable sociopath, and the fact that Joe Biden may be too weak to stamp his authority over the radical left section of the Democrat voter-base.

Thus, the 2020 US presidential elections has the same dynamics as 2016 but the atmosphere is much darker, the stakes are much higher and Donald Trump has a much higher mountain to climb. Could he do it? If there was ever someone who could, then it is Donald J Trump.
