In a repulsive act of bestiality, a cow has been raped in Bhopal’s Sunder Nagar area on July 4. The accused, Sabir Ali, has been arrested and booked under section 377 of the IPC for brutalising the animal and engaging in the unnatural act of perversion and cruelty.

According to the Bhopal police, the shameful incident happened on July 4 at around 4 am when the 55-year-old man went to a dairy in Sundar Nagar and allegedly engaged in unnatural sex with a cow. Incidentally, the CCTV camera in the dairy had captured the ghoulish incident.

Ram Yadav, the owner of the dairy farm had reportedly caught Sabir Ali in his dairy farm, but not knowing what had actually transpired, had released him a little later. Next day, when the dairy farm owner checked the CCTV footage and saw Sabir Ali engaging in unnatural sex with his cow, he filed a complaint with the Sunder Nagar police.

After examining the CCTV footage of the area, the police arrested Sabir Ali and booked him under section 377 of the IPC for unnatural acts of sexual perversion against an animal.

Crimes of bestiality continues unabated

Horrible incidents like this have surfaced in the past too. Last year, OpIndia had reported how one Mohammad Ansari had raped a calf after tying the limbs of the animal with a rope in Kunjathbail of Manguluru. Prior to this, a cow was reportedly raped by an elderly man named Chotu Khan, in Suthaliya town, Madhya Pradesh. We had also reported how a pregnant goat was brutally gang-raped by eight accused Marodha village of Haryana’s Mewat, on 28th July 2018. It was reported that the goat died a few days later.

A new study has found out that the genes linked to severe coronavirus symptoms may have been passed down from Neanderthals over 60,000 years ago due to the interbreeding with modern humans, says a report in the New York Times.

According to the researchers, the interbreeding effect that happened 60,000 years ago is still having an impact today. They discovered that a particular segment of the genome that spans six genes on Chromosome 3 may be causing severe illness due to the coronavirus. The study was conducted based on data from 3,199 hospitalized COVID-19 patients and control patients.

That particular genome segment has been inherited in a puzzling manner throughout human history, says the report. Further, the study has also revealed that 63 per cent of Bangladeshis now carry at least one copy.

The genome segment of 49.4 kilobases size, however, is not found in other parts of the world as much as it is found in Asia, especially Bangladesh. Only eight per cent of Europeans and four per cent of East Asians carry it. Interestingly, this particular genome is not present in Africans.

The researchers are trying to understand why coronavirus is more dangerous for some people than others. The new data suggest that there is a stronger link between the disease and the Chromosome 3 segment. The people who carry two copies of these genes are three times more likely to suffer from severe illness than people who do not.

Chromosome 3 passed down from Neanderthals to modern humans

According to  Hugo Zeberg, a geneticist at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden who is a co-author in the yet to be published study, nearly 60,000 years ago, some ancestors of modern humans settled in Europe, Asia and Australia. These people encountered Neanderthals and interbred with them. As Neanderthal DNA entered our gene pool, it spread down through the generations, long after Neanderthals became extinct.

However, Neanderthal genes turned out to be harmful to modern humans and became a burden on people’s health or made it harder to have children. As a result, due to evolution, the Neanderthal genes became rarer and began to disappear from our gene pool. But, some genes appear to have provided an evolutionary edge and have become quite common. The scientists speculate that it may have provided an improved immunity against virus in some particular regions.

In May, Dr Zeberg, and his co-authors Dr Paabo and Dr Janet Kelso from the Max Planck Institute in Leipzig, Germany, found out that at least one-third of European women have a Neanderthal hormone receptor. It is associated with increased fertility and fewer miscarriages.

When Dr Zeberg looked at Chromosome 3 in an online database of Neanderthal genomes, he discovered that the version that raises people’s risk of severe coronavirus is the same version found in a Neanderthal who lived in Croatia 50,000 years ago.

So far, research has suggested that men are more at risk than women and older people are more at risk than the young. Social conditions and even blood types are now being studied for their affect on the risk factor.

The scientists have stated that it is also possible that the genome segment from neanderthals, which had provided immunity from virus thousands of years ago, has now been triggering ‘overreactions’ against the new coronavirus.

It has been found that severe cases of COVID-19, with lungs damage and heightened inflammation are caused by an aggravated immune response in some individuals. People of Bangladeshi descent are showing a higher mortality rate due to coronavirus in the United Kingdom, the report mentioned.

Much to the horror of two families, Delhi AIIMS Trauma Center exchanged bodies of two Covid-19 victims on Tuesday. This lapse on the part of the hospital authorities, resulted in the Hindu family mistakingly cremating the body of a Muslim woman thinking it to be the body of their family member.

The family members of Ayesha (name changed) were called on July 7 (Tuesday) and informed by the authorities at Delhi’s AIIMS Trauma Center that she had succumbed to Coronavirus, and were asked to collect the body of the deceased. When Ayesha’s family reached the hospital they were informed that the hospital authorities were preparing for the release of the body and asked them to prepare for the burial.

When Ayesha’s brother wanted to see his sisters face the authorities said that they that they’ll be able to do so only at the burial ground. Around noon, the body covered in plastic, according to the standard protocol laid for all Covid-19 bodies, was handed over to the family.

Right before the funeral, Ayesha’s Children insisted on seeing their mother’s face for the last time. “We were told by an official at the Delhi Gate burial ground that we’ll have to pay Rs 500 to see the face,” Ayesha’s brother said. “As we paid them to see my sister’s face, we were shocked. It wasn’t Ayesha. It was Sarita’s body (name changed) and belong to a Hindu family,” Ayesha’s brother added.

On learning that they had received the wrong body, the family contacted the authorities at AIIMS, who told them that there had been some mistake and assured to give the “right body” in an hour. But, when, after an hour, the family got no update they went back to the hospital, only to learn that the body of Ayesha had been cremated by a Hindu family.

The Hindu family, who had already cremated Ayesha’s body at the Punjabi Bagh cremation ground, later learnt that it wasn’t the body of their daughter.

Speaking to News18.com, AIIMS Trauma Center authorities said that an inquiry was set up in the matter and one person from the mortuary staff was terminated, while another was suspended.

Similar horror stories from Delhi hospitals continue to pour in

Last month too, similar incidents were reported from Delhi hospitals, giving a grim picture of the laxity and unpreparedness of the hospital authorities in Delhi in handling the coronavirus crisis.

On June 12, News 18 reported how two bodies were exchanged in Delhi’s LNJP Hospital, thereby denying one family a chance to cremate their mother while the other family ending up cremating two bodies, one of which was that of their father. The family accused the hospital of not only giving improper care to their loved ones but also depriving the families of performing the last rites of their loved ones.

In another case, two bodies were mixed up at the mortuary at Lok Nayak Hospital as they had the same name, and as a result, one Kalamuddin buried his father twice. Two people with the same name- Moinuddin has passed away in the hospital on June 7. Then an official at Lok Nayak Hospital was quoted by The Indian Express as saying: “It is sometimes difficult to identify the body because people are often anxious in a mortuary and after death, the face lacks expression, which also makes it difficult. We will make efforts to ensure such incidents do not happen again.”

Jyoti Basu is the mass murderer India forgot

In early 1979, around 40,000 hungry, starving and desperate Bengalis took shelter on the island of Marichjhapi in the Sunderbans of West Bengal. They were Hindu refugees who had fled persecution in East Pakistan, which had recently become Bangladesh. The Govt of West Bengal had refused to take any responsibility for them, forcing them to flee into the dense forest of the Sunderbans.

Then, at the end of January 1979, they came. The West Bengal Police arrived in launch boats and took control of the network of waterways that made up the Hooghly river delta. The island was now completely surrounded. The 40,000 people on it had no way to access food or medicine.

On the morning of Jan 31, the police opened fire on the starving Hindu refugees. Indiscriminately. They evacuated the island. Nobody knows how many human beings died that day. Because the Govt of West Bengal never published an official death toll.

Who was the Chief Minister that ordered this atrocity? Jyoti Basu.

In a sane world, Jyoti Basu would have had to step down immediately. He would probably have been arrested. But none of that happened. At the time he resigned as CM of West Bengal, Jyoti Basu had made history as India’s longest serving Chief Minister.

Jyoti Basu is the mass murderer that history forgot. Today is his birthday. He has been dead for a while now. As Hitchens would have said, it’s a shame that there is no hell for him to go to.

Jyoti Basu was born on July 8, 1914 in Calcutta. Like most Communist icons, he was male, upper caste and from a privileged family. From his kindergarten years, he attended schools such as Loreto and Xavier’s, run by British Burra Sahibs for their own and their camp followers. Then, he made the transition from British elite schools in India to elite colleges in England, becoming a barrister.

It is not hard to see why Jyoti Basu could not feel any sympathy for 40,000 starving Hindu refugees from Bangladesh. Our woke historians would do well to notice that most of these refugees also happened to be Dalits.

That’s what Communism is. Preach about the poor and hungry in public so that you can keep your privilege in private. And then count on left wing myth makers, posing as historians, to whitewash history for you.

Just after the 1962 war, Jyoti Basu proclaimed publicly at a rally that “China cannot be the aggressor.”

If his politics was traitorous, his reign was bloody. In fact, in 1997, Bengal’s Home Minister admitted on the floor of the Assembly that 28,000 political murders had happened in West Bengal since the beginning of Jyoti Basu’s rule. Imagine what the real number was.

Even the official figure of 28,000 murders did not cause a stir. It did not even scratch his legacy. Because the Communist leader had the historians and the intellectuals on his side.

In fact, the year before, when the 1996 General Election threw up a badly hung Parliament, consensus had emerged among India’s secular parties that the “venerable” Jyoti Basu should take over as Prime Minister. It was Jyoti Basu’s enemies within his own party who stopped him. That’s how close India came to having a Prime Minister who had massacred refugees, systematically eliminated tens of thousands of dissenters and propagated China’s official line in the 1962 war.

Now you’ve probably heard that Jyoti Basu’s economic policies led to business and industry fleeing the state. Did you know that’s just propaganda from “reactionary forces” opposed to the “people’s revolution”?

Allow me to introduce you to Chandan Basu. That’s Jyoti babu’s son. To which country did Jyoti Babu send his son to continue the struggle for workers rights? Vietnam or Guatemala?

Not exactly. Jyoti Basu’s son actually became an industrialist. He must have been a star in the world of business, recommended by banks for loans from agencies under the WB government and contracts from top corporates.

Papa as Communist CM of West Bengal. Son as a big businessman who gets recommended for big loans from the West Bengal Financial Corporation. Together they should have won a Padma Vibhushan for presenting a model of honesty to the nation.

How did all this become possible? Because Jyoti Basu had the right people on his side. The journalist, intellectuals, poets, historians, everyone. Not like modern times where somebody throws a stone at a Navi Mumbai church and the next day the New York Times starts howling about “intolerance.”

They say don’t speak ill of the dead. It’s a decent thumb rule. But what if there are there tens of thousands, if not lakhs of dead people who have been victims of one man? The victims deserve to be heard as well. At least as much as the celebrity journos who call the police on Twitter (instead of dialing 100) to complain about threats from internet trolls.

So, please don’t feel bad about speaking ill of the Late Jyoti Basu. If there is another world, be certain that there are (at least) 28,000 voices from the other side backing you up.

Delhi HC lifts gag order against media and victims in #MeToo sexual harassment cases against Newslaundry investor Mahesh Murthy

In a huge setback to Newslaundry investor Mahesh Murthy, the Delhi High Court has vacated its interim order of April 2017 restraining media outlets publishing allegations of sexual harassment made against him by several victim women. The court also lifted the gag order imposed on victims from narrating their stories.

According to the reports, a single-judge bench presided by Justice Jayanth Nath passed the order on Monday stating, “The facts show that as per defendants No 1, 2, 15 and 16 (the four victims), they have had an unpleasant or perhaps more than unpleasant experience with the plaintiff. These facts, the said defendants… seek to place in the public domain.”

Mahesh Murthy, who claims to be a venture capitalist and also an investor in far-left website Newslaundry, had filed a defamation suit against 18 media organisations for covering the allegation of sexual harassment against him.

The defamation suits were filed against Rashmi Bansal, Pooja Chauhan and Meera (name changed), who had called out his inappropriate behaviour. Few journalists and executives at publications such as Deccan Chronicle, YourStory, and SheThePeople were also named in Mahesh Murthy’s suit.

Delhi High Court Justice Jayant Nath further observed that prima facie, it cannot be said that the said defendants have no case whatsoever or are misusing freedom of speech to tarnish/ defame the plaintiff.

The Delhi court also rejected Murthy’s contention that two victims were disgruntled and had malafide intentions, as Murthy had refused to invest in their ventures. The court also observed that Murthy’s plea was ‘bit of a hotchpotch’ as he had connected all the unconnected incidents/ events into one and sought relief against all of them in one case itself.

The alleged molester Murthy had claimed that the victims, websites and media houses had published content in a ‘sensational manner which misleads a common man reading the same to draw a conclusion that he is in the habit of exploiting and harassing young women entrepreneurs’. He had made the victims of his alleged crimes and media houses and journalists who had reported the allegations against him as defendants in the case, clubbing them all in one category. Murthy had even filed the case against two of his partners.

“The said defendants have a right to exercise their right of freedom of speech. If these incidents and claims of the said defendants are in trial proved to be false, the plaintiff would have a right to claim damages,” the court said in its order.

Rights activist and lawyer Deepika Bharadwaj has welcomed the order. She has stated that she and 18 other defendants were stopped from speaking about Murthy’s misdemeanour by the gag order.

Sexual harassment charges against Mahesh Murthy

In 2017, several media organisation including OpIndia had reported allegations of sexual harassment against News Laundry funder Murthy made by six women — three of who went on record with their experience. The accounts of the harassment had happened in the past from 2003 to 2016.

Pankaj Mishra, founder of technology website FactorDaily, in a series of tweets, had accused venture capitalist Mahesh Murthy who is also an investor in the Left-leaning self-proclaimed ‘media watchdog‘, Newslaundry.

The reports which highlighted sexual misconduct of Murthy stated that an author named Rashmi Bansal and a woman journalist had accused Murthy of inappropriate behaviour, ranging from inappropriate electronic messages to verbal advances to physical grabbing. Murthy had also allegedly sent an inappropriate message, “Hey babe, one’s supposed to celebrate Diwali by blowing a pataka. So can I go down on you please? :-)” to a woman government officer in Delhi.

The report had stated that many people knew of Murthy’s alleged misbehaviour, but no one has taken a stand against him except an IT giant.

A woman executive was allegedly asked “Are you a virgin” by Murthy back in 2006, and then the company blacklisted Murthy’s digital media company, Pinstorm.

Maharashtra: Chief Minister sits at home while Leader of Opposition tours the state extensively amid coronavirus outbreak

Maharashtra continues to be the most affected state by the Chinese Coronavirus. Almost 30% of total cases in the country can attributed alone to the state of Maharashtra. In such a situation, you expect chief minister of the state firmly taking control of situation and touring the state to keep officials on toes. Instead what we are seeing? Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has hardly left his private residence ‘Matoshree’ leaving the state completely on the mercy of other ministers and bureaucrats. 

Recently, BJP leader Narayan Rane criticised CM Uddhav Thackeray alleging that in the middle of the pandemic, Maharashtra CM hasn’t moved out of his home. State secretariat named as ‘Mantralaya’ is being ruled by the bureaucrats. He also suggested that the old name of ‘Mantralaya’ used to be ‘Sachivalaya’ and it should be renamed as such, since no minister is present in ‘Mantralaya’.  

There is a truth to his allegations. Since the pandemic started and lockdown was announced CM Uddhav Thackeray has hardly moved out of his private residence. He did come out twice, once on a visit to cyclone ‘Nisarga’ affected Raigad district and once for government Mahapooja of Lord Vitthal, at Pandharpur on the occasion of Ashadi Ekadashi. Barring these two occasions he has seldom ventured out of Mumbai, and hardly even gone to ‘Mantralaya’, which is Maharashtra state secretariat having offices of all ministers and senior bureaucrats.   

Maharashtra’s people have only heard him through his Facebook live sessions, and Twitter posts done by the official handle of the Chief Minister’s office. He hasn’t been seen anywhere on ground visiting hospitals or other cities in Maharashtra reviewing the situation. However, to their credit, health minister Rajesh Tope and deputy CM Ajit Pawar are on ground, working as they should be in this situation. Just like his Delhi counterpart Arvind Kejriwal, Uddhav Thackeray doesn’t handle a single portfolio in Maharashtra Government and just presides the state as Chief Minister. 

On the other hand, leader of opposition Devendra Fadnavis is touring the state extensively, visiting different cities and hospitals and holding review meetings. Being leader of opposition, which is a statutory post, he can hold review meetings but can’t pass instructions to the officials. Even then he is taking every effort to be seen on ground and doing his bit as responsible opposition leader. However mainstream media has failed to recognize his efforts, and almost censored his visits to various affected places. People are coming to know about these visits, only through social media.

We have seen a viral video of a policeman pleading to him about lack of support from the government and lamenting that situation would have been much better if he was the Chief Minister. The said policeman was given a punishment posting and transferred 150 kilometers away from his place of residence by the vindictive Thackeray government. There are many such videos, doing the rounds where the common man is pleading with Fadnavis to help them and he is assuring them that he will act on it to the best of his abilities. Few days back there was a mismatch in reporting of Corona deaths in Maharashtra. It was pointed out by Fadnavis. Acting on it, the next day the state government was forced to recognize these deaths as Corona deaths which were previously weren’t recognized. 

It is surprising that Marathi media which champions itself to be the progressive media has failed to report on Chief Minister’s self-imposed lockdown, and not touring the state and censoring the leader of opposition’s visits to affected cities.

The Cabal Strategizes: Tahir Hussain behind Delhi Riots

Delhi riots 2020 investigation, as it is unfolding is becoming more interesting than a thriller. If in February anyone asked what is common between Zakir Naik, Umar Khaled, Khaled Saifi, Ishrat Jahan and Tahir Hussain, the answer might have been NONE. For the record, Zakir Naik is the so-called renowned comparative religion scholar who shared the stage with luminaries and even went to Lal Bahadur Academy at the invitation of the academy and addressed 160 IPS trainee officers (plus 10 officers from Nepal, Bhutan and Maldives). Umar Khalid is a JNU scholar, Khalid Saifi is associated with India against hate, Ishrat Jahan is a former Congress municipal councillor and Tahir Hussain is a sitting Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) from a North East Delhi constituency. However as the events are unfolding, the nexus is becoming clear. 

As the background unfolds, Khalid Saifi went to Malaysia to meet with wanted radical Islamist preacher Zakir Naik as the CAA protests on the Shaheen Bagh model were being set up all over India. An investigation of Saifi shows that he met various individuals including Zakir Naik to raise funds for the riots. According to a status report filed by Delhi Police’s Special Cell, Saifi received funds for the riots through an NRI account from Singapore. These funds were reportedly transferred to an NGO co-run by Umar Khalid our scholar from JNU who had made his inciting speech at Amravati. Saifi also allegedly received funds from Saudi Arabia and radical Islamist organization, People’s Front of India (PFI).

Then Ishrat Jahan makes her entry in the scene and becomes another conduit for receiving foreign funds. The money was transferred to her via a ‘suspicious route’ in Ghaziabad and her relatives in Maharashtra. Ishrat Jahan was also arrested by Delhi Police in March for her involvement in the Delhi riots case. Last but perhaps the most important link in the chain is Tahir Hussain who stepped in now. Umar Khalid, suspended AAP councillor Tahir Hussain and Saifi are told to be close friends.  Tahir Hussain was the one to put the money to sinister use by mobilizing Delhi Riots in February 2020.

The most enduring images of Delhi Riots were of Tahir Hussain on his terrace walking around as if supervising the riot, prepared to hurl stones, at innocent people. The burnt clothes, the acid bottles, and the burnt vehicles in the parking lot bear witness to it all. All these littered around his infamous building lead to Tahir Hussain. Who can forget the innocent smiling face of 26-year-old Intelligence Bureau staffer Ankit Sharma, whose body was retrieved from a drain near Delhi’s Chand Bagh on February 26, 2020? The autopsy report stated, “Multiple abrasion.. deep cut.. by sharp edge objects.” The panel of doctors, who carried out post mortem, clearly stated that he was brutally and repeatedly stabbed, leading to his death.

The charge sheet in Ankit Sharma case explicitly mentions that Tahir Hussain hatched the plans for riots in January when Hussain met Umar Khalid and Khalid Saifi at Shaheen Bagh. Delhi police filed two more charge sheets in cases related to the February riots in northeast Delhi. In both, the police charged suspended AAP councillor, Tahir Hussain. According to eyewitness accounts, AAP councillor was seen leading forty to fifty rioters inciting them on religious lines. The two charge sheets relate to two separate incidents of violence during the riots — the first, related to arson and rioting at a parking lot in Chand Bagh.

Tahir Hussain along with his accomplice broken shutter and went ahead ransacking the place. Their food was being prepared for a wedding. The food was thrown and the people were terrorized later the parking lot was set afire by a local bombing which at least a hundred vehicles were gutted. In the second FIR Tahir Hussain has been charged with arson and robbery at a godown of essential goods in Karawal Nagar. Both cases have been filed based on eyewitness accounts, CCTV footage, and Tahir Hussain’s WhatsApp conversations. 

The unfolding denouement is like a painting of a sinister design that slowly comes into vision as the fogs and layers of conspiracy get lifted. The involvement of people from diverse backgrounds, wide geographic division, acting in unison over a period of time can not be anything but the unfolding of a strategic design masterminded and perpetrated by tukde tukde gang, intellectuals, corrupt politicians, who seek culmination of their designs by shattering religious amity, spreading hate and engineering violence. If the collateral costs are over 50 innocents dead, thousands homeless, hundreds critically injured, property worth thousands of crores gutted and a sense of perpetual sense of fear in the air…so what.

Known for her uncensored remarks on social media, Actress Payal Rohatgi’s Twitter account was suspended for the second time in one month. She shared a screenshot of a message from Twitter and informed her fans that her account had been suspended.

Later she posted a video on her Instagram profile and urged people to support her so that she gets can her account back.

In the video message, Rohatgi alleged that Twitter had not provided any reason for the suspension. She did not get any email on her official email ID to which the account was linked. She does not know the reason. “It is for all of you’ll to figure out with Twitter India that why have they deleted my account. Neither do I abuse people, nor do I use any wrong word for anyone. I obviously attempt to share facts, but this effort of mine has been projected in a bad light by liberals and people who are extremists, who control Twitter,” she added while appealing to the people to urge Twitter to restore her account so that she can communicate with her fans.

In June, Twitter suspended Payal Rohatgi’s account on the pretext of posting an abusive tweet. In the last few years, she had landed in legal trouble for her controversial tweets on social media platforms. Her activities on social media mainly revolve around current affairs. Delhi riots: Chargesheet links Rajdhani School owner Faisal Farooque with Nizamuddin Markaz, says he was in touch with Maulana Saad’s associate

The charge-sheet filed by the Delhi police in connection with the Anti-Hindu riots in the Northeast Delhi has revealed that the rise of controversial Islamic cleric Maulana Saad, the mastermind behind the Nizamuddin Markaz, coincided with the rise of Rajdhani School owner Faisal Farooque, reports Indian Express.

According to the Indian Express article, the charge-sheet, in which Tablighi Jamaat chief Maulana has been named for the first time, states that as Saad rose to power in the Tablighi Jamaat, Faisal Farooque – the owner of Rajdhani School and one of the main accused in the Anti-Hindu Delhi riots also increased his real estate acquisitions in the Northeast Delhi.

“After Saad rose to power in Tablighi Jamaat, it has been noticed that Faisal Farooque has also risen in terms of acquisition of real estate in Northeast district,” the charge-sheet filed by the Delhi Police in connection with the Anti-Hindu Delhi riots said.

The charge-sheet also mentions Haji Yunus, the AAP MLA from Mustafabad, as an “intermediary”.

Maulana Saad, whose name only resurfaced in March after the Tablighi Jamaat gathering in Delhi’s Nizamuddin Markaz was found to be a superspreader of coronavirus, is alleged to have links with Faisal Farooq.

The charge-sheet mentions a list of properties purchased by Farooque and his father “after 2014 — since Saad came to power”. The charge-sheet reads, “Maulana Saad rose to power in the Tablighi Jamaat in 2014… Farooque is a regular attendee of the Markaz… his closeness to the Tablighi Jamaat is apparent in his regular contact with Abdul Aleem, who is a close associate of Maulana Saad.”

The chargesheet states that further investigation, in terms of role played by Tablighi Jamaat, if any, in the riots is still being investigated.

Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party MLA Yunus rejected the allegation and said that the charges are yet to be proven by the Delhi police.

Faisal Farooque had close links with Maulana Saad

Reportedly, Faisal Farooque has close links to Abdul Aleem, a close associate of Tablighi Jamaat chief Maulana Saad. He is also said to have visited Deoband before the riots in the national capital. Faisal Farooque, who had turned his school into a launch-pad to attack Hindus during Anti-Hindu Delhi riots, has been named along with 17 others in the charge-sheet filed by the Delhi Police at the Karkardooma court on June 3. 

In the initial investigation, the Delhi Police Crime Branch had unearthed Farooque’s call detail analysis, which had shown his links with prominent members of Popular Front of India, Pinjratod Group, Jamia Coordination Committee, Hazrat Nizamuddin Markaz and some other fundamental Muslim clerics.

Further, the charge-sheet had also revealed that Farooque and Aleem were in touch with each other through phone calls and SMS at least 13 times between February 20 and March 3.

“Faisal Farooque played a pivotal role in organising riots in and around Rajdhani school. Abdul Aleem, by virtue of holding an important position in Tablighi Jamaat leadership, could have played a role in facilitating Faisal Farooque. Further investigation into this aspect, in this case, is being done,” the charge-sheet stated.

Faisal Farooque, who was arrested for orchestrating riots is the owner of the Rajdhani school, has been accused of allowing rioters to camp inside the Rajdhani school, fire bullets from the terrace of Rajdhani school.

The rioters had used the terrace of Rajdhani school to throw petrol bombs, acid, bricks, stones, and other projectile using an improvised large iron catapult installed there. The mob had used ropes to climb down from the roof of Rajdhani school into the compound of DRP convent school and set the school on fire.

Anwar, the owner of Al-Hind hospital named in the charge-sheet

Earlier, the owner of a hospital in North-East Delhi was also named by the Delhi Police in its charge-sheet as one of the masterminds of the anti-Hindu riots in Mustafabad, that led to the brutal killing of Hindu youth Dilbar Negi.

The Delhi Police had named Dr MA Anwar, the owner of Al-Hind hospital in the riot-hit Mustafabad area, as one of the organisers of the protest, which led to the murder of 20-year-old Hindu youth Dilbar Negi. The organisers of the protest which took place at Farooqia Masjid are Arshad Pradhan, Dr Anwar, owner of Al-Hind hospital, the charge-sheet mentioned.

Pakistanis and Kashmiri separatists on Twitter today hailed the slain terrorist Burhan Wani on his fourth death anniversary and vowed to ‘resist India’s occupation’ of Kashmir.

Pakistanis hailed him as a ‘martyr’.

Some even referred to him as the racist communist homophobe leader ‘Che Guevara’.

Presumably Pakistani Twitter handles posing as Turkish women also tweeted hailing Burhan Wani. One Sakibul with Bangladesh flag on his Twitter name claiming to be from Bangladesh also hailed Wani’s ‘sacrifice’. Another Twitter handle claiming to be from Kashmir said how the killing of Wani gave birth to many other Wanis in the valley.

In a fierce battle, Burhan Wani was eliminated by security forces on 8th July 2016 in the Kokernag area of the Anantnag district. For several years Burhan Wani had managed to stay away from the grasp of the security forces. Following his death, several people rushed to whitewash his image. Journalist Barkha Dutt termed him as a “son of school headmaster”. Former J&K CM Omar Abdullah was more worried about the aftermath of Wani’s death, instead of congratulating the army. Activist Kavita Krishnan, on the other hand, condemned the supposed “extrajudicial killing” of Wani.
