Senior journalist J Gopikrishnan, associated with The Pioneer, on Saturday took to Twitter to reveal how a US-based newspaper publication offered him USD 1,500 for a 1,000 word article to report on how many died on religion basis in Delhi’s anti-Hindu riots which coincided with the visit of US President Donald Trump.

Referring to US-based leftist media as ‘rascals’ and ‘crooks’, Gopikrishnan said that these media houses see everything with negative perspective. Calling out Indian journalists who sell their souls for a few hundred dollars, he said that he was offered huge amount for writing on the people who died in Delhi riots on religious lines.
He further revealed how he was earlier offered USD 25,000 in cash in March 2012 by a Norway-based newspaper to write a pro-Uninor report when the 2G scam broke out.

He further revealed that after he refused to be a pen for hire, he saw the same story with same brief in Economic Times. Gopikrishnan added that based on this particular report in Economic Times, the then Norway leader wrote to then PM Dr Manmohan Singh on how bad the Indian system is to foreign companies.

He further revealed that back during the height of 2G scam investigation, a corporate house had offered Rs 10 crore cash. However, he turned down the offer innovatively by putting up a condition that he would rather take Rs 100 crore and take a picture of money being transferred and also pay 30% income tax after declaring the same in his return. Later, this Rs 10 crore price was even increased to ‘adjust’ the prime witness and save an accused, Gopikrishnan revealed in his tweets.
The fires lit by Delhi’s anti-Hindu riots may have died down but for some Hindus, their lives have changed forever. Here is a story of Alok Tiwari, who lived with his family in Prem Vihar in the national capital.
The riots in NorthEast Delhi started last Sunday. On Saturday, too, the markets of communally sensitive areas were shut. Normalcy is now limping back in these areas even as police force is deployed in large number. OpIndia team reached Shiv Vihar. We reached the home of Alok Tiwari whose widow is sitting on the ground with her hands on her head, inconsolable. The women sitting around are expressing their condolences to her. Tiwari’s widow composed herself when she saw us. While we talked to people gathered around, his widow did not utter a word to us.

After we requested, she narrated the incident that changed their lives forever. On Wednesday (26th February), at around 10 AM, Alok Tiwari had his food and went out of the house. “We weren’t worried because we were unaware of the situation outside. After about half an hour I got a call from his number and asked me whose number it was. I said that number was of my husband. He asked me to reach there as my husband was injured on his head. I reached there with a few people and saw that he was lying across a shop, injured badly. I fainted,” she said.
An eyewitness then narrates the remaining incident. “Alok was injured in the head and blood was oozing out. With the help of few bystanders, we brought him home. We called an ambulance but when it came at 1:30 PM, a lot of blood was lost. We got him admitted to GTB Hospital but late night, doctors declared him dead,” he said. As soon as family got to know if the news, they were devastated. After running pillar to post and visiting various police stations, the authorities handed over Alok Tiwari’s mortal remains to the family on 28th February. The condition of the family is so bad that the neighbours collected funds to arrange for the funeral. His four year old son Ayush Tiwari lit the funeral pyre.

While Alok Tiwari’s widow Kavita Tiwari cannot stop crying, his two children, Sonakshi and Ayush are unaware that they lost their father. Originally from Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh, Alok Tiwari with his family, came to Delhi about eight years back. They lived in Shiv Vihar in NorthEast Delhi. He worked as a labourer in a factory and was the sole breadwinner of the family. Kavita now has only one thing on her mind – what will happen to me and my children.
When OpIndia team visited parts of NorthEast Delhi as part of their ground reporting during anti-Hindu riots, the team got to know of the sorry state in which the Hindus are living in that part. Just some distance away from Shiv Vihar Chowk, we got to know of the truth which proves how hollow the promises of Aam Aadmi Party-led Delhi government are. About 20,000 Hindus in areas surrounding Shiv Vihar, Govind Vihar and Mahalakshmi Enclave have been facing such hardship since past eight (some say 20) years.
There is a road along a big drainage which leads you to a lane in Govind Vihar. The drainage opens up on either side of the lane. Every evening at 6 PM, a huge crowd gathers there. Women, children and some youth, all gather there. Some come from nearby lane while others come from far off places. Everyone has a bucket or container in their hands in which they fill water. In that drainage opens the mouth of two pipes from which drinking water is provided. The water directly falls into the drainage. These women balance themselves and collect the water for drinking.

If the women lose their balance, they could even fall inside the drainage line. When they are filling water from the pipes, half their container or bucket is dipped in the drainage water. This is a shocking state to live in for the Hindus. If you live away from Delhi in other part of India and you do not have water crisis, this scene will give you two lessons: learn the importance of water and if a politician has promised ‘free water’ it does not mean he has improved the condition.

People believe that Haji Yunus won because of Muslim vote consolidation and is now taking a ‘revenge’ on Hindus as he thinks the Hindus didn’t vote for him.

We noticed that near that sewer, not a single Muslim was filling their buckets with water. We asked about it to the people standing nearby.
Why no Muslims?
The local people said that in the Muslim locality, proper arrangement is made for water supply and storage. They also get tankers to supply water to them and have water tanks to store water. Because of curfew and communally sensitive circumstances, we could not physically go to verify these claims. However, people there said that proper water facility is made for Muslims.

OpIndia team learnt of more shocking details. The water supply in the pines along with drainage lane comes once a day for a period of one hour. If you do not fill water in this one hour, you will be left without water for one day.

The women recount that when Pradhan was the MLA, without religious discrimination he would put up water tanker outside his office. Hindus, Muslims, all used to fill water from there. Jagdish Pradhan is no longer an MLA. However, people say that after he lost, the Hindus have to now collect water from pipes flowing into the drainage. When OpIndia team reached there, they were hopeful that media will now raise their voice. Everyone was asking, ‘when will this news be published?’

The United States and Taliban signed a peace deal in Doha, Qatar on Saturday after months of negotiations between both the sides, potentially ending the war in the country that is going on for 18 years.
The deal was signed by US special envoy Zalmay Khalilzad and Taliban political chief Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar with US Secretary of State Mr. Mike Pompeo as a witness. Representatives from India, Pakistan, Qatar, Turkey, Indonesia, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan were present during the signing of the deal.
The deal has four parts, full withdrawal of American and NATO Troops from Afghanistan within 14 months, a guarantee that the Taliban will not launch attacks on the USA and its allies from Afghanistan, beginning of intra-Afghan negotiations between Taliban and Afghan government, and a permanent and comprehensive ceasefire.
In a speech, Mr. Pompeo urged the militant group to “keep your promises to cut ties with al-Qaeda”.
“I know there will be a temptation to declare victory, but victory for Afghans will only be achieved when they can live in peace and prosper,” he said at the Doha ceremony.

In a statement, the Taliban said it had reached an agreement “about the termination of occupation of Afghanistan”. “The accord about the complete withdrawal of all foreign forces from Afghanistan and never intervening in its affairs in the future is undoubtedly a great achievement,” they said.
Under the agreement, the US will undergo the process of drawing down 8600 troops from the land of Afghanistan in the first 135 days with allies also withdrawing their forces proportionately. Remaining forces are expected to leave within the other Nine and half months.
The deal also includes a process of the prisoner swap. Around 5000 Taliban and 1,000 Afghan security force prisoners may be interchanged by 10 March, the day when talks between the Taliban and the Afghan government are due to start.
Also, the US will lift sanctions against the Taliban and work with the UN to lift its separate sanctions against the group.
The agreement also states that Taliban members will not use Afghanistan to threat the security of USA and its allies, and they will not have any ties with anyone who poses such security threat for the USA and its allies. It further states the Taliban will prevent

In 2018, the militant group announced that they would meet the US to find a “roadmap to peace”. But later they refused to hold official talks with the Afghan Government terming them as American “puppets.”

The US with the help of an international coalition including forces from various nations conducted ‘Operation Enduring Freedom’, removing the Taliban from power. The Taliban turned into a militant group and conducted deadly attacks, destabilizing various Afghan governments.
President Donald Trump has been advocating the withdrawal of American forces from foreign lands, and this peace deal marks a success for him in this regard. Last year Trump had ordered the withdrawal of American troops from Northern Syria.

A 36-year old man who worked in Malaysia for the last three years and came back to India on Thursday with symptoms of flu and breathlessness, died on Saturday after he was tested negative for the deadly coronavirus.
He landed at the international airport in Cochin on Thursday night and was rushed to the isolation ward at the Government Medical College Hospital.
Doctors said that the man died of pneumonia and chest congestion. They were waiting for the test result of his second sample from a laboratory.
A senior doctor of the Government Medical College and Hospital, Dr. Ganesh Mohanan said, “In the preliminary investigation, we found he developed acute pneumonia and respiratory distress syndrome. We also understood that he was diabetic. Blood sugar can flare up when there is an acute infection.”
He further added, “We suspect he died of pneumonia and diabetic ketoacidosis wherein the body cannot produce insulin.”
The samples of the deceased tested negative for H1N1 and CoVid-19 at the Virology Institute in Alappuzha. A second sample was sent to ensure he was not infected by Coronavirus.
Ernakulam district collector S Suhas had called an emergency meeting on Friday after the man was admitted to the isolation ward. He had also visited the isolation ward and took stock of the situation.
India has reported three coronavirus cases in India so far, all of them are Kerala students who returned from Wuhan which is the epicenter of the outbreak of the virus.
The state of Kerala had declared a “medical calamity” last month and restricted on large gatherings and excursions. It had declared a medical emergency on 3 February 2019, after the third case was detected in Noth Kerala. Kerala later withdrew the “calamity” warning after it successfully restricted the virus to the three students.
All three students have recovered and discharged from the hospital.
The left-liberals in the country continue to twist and misrepresent facts to propagate their misleading and baseless arguments against CAA, NRC and NPR. In one such attempt, the former senior Executive Editor of Tiranga TV Seemi Pasha today posed a misleading question when she posted on Twitter an RTI filed by one Subhankar Sarkar seeking Citizenship certificate of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Pasha queried that since PM Modi doesn’t need to register his citizenship as per Section 3 of the Citizenship Act, 1955, why should others be mandated to do so.
Responding to Sarkar’s RTI, the government said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is an Indian citizen by the virtue of his birth in India as per Section 3 of the Citizenship Act, 1955. It further added that the question of PM Modi’s citizenship certificate doesn’t arise as the certificate is granted to those who apply for citizenship through registration.
Pasha, however, completely misinterpreted the RTI reply and claimed that only the Prime Minister is not required to register his citizenship while others are required to do so under Section 3 of the Citizenship Act. She asked if PM Modi doesn’t have to register his citizenship certificate as confirmed in the RTI response, why others should be compelled to do so.
She completely twisted the RTI reply to attack the Prime Minister, because the Section 3 of Citizenship Act mentioned in the reply applies to all Indians who got their citizenship by birth, and not only to PM Modi as claimed by Seemi Pasha.
Section 3(1) of the Citizenship Act 1955 pertains to “Citizenship by birth”, and it does not have any provision for “registering citizenship” as Pasha is claiming. The Section states that every person born in India:-
(a) on or after the 26th day of January 1950, but before the 1st day of July 1987;
(b) on or after the 1st day of July 1987, but before the commencement of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2003 and either of whose parents is a citizen of India at the time of his birth;
(c) on or after the commencement of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2003, where—
(i) both of his parents are citizens of India; or
(ii) one of whose parents is a citizen of India and the other is not an illegal migrant at the time of his birth, shall be a citizen of India by birth.
The RTI reply clearly says that PM’s citizenship comes under Section 3 of the Citizenship Act, it does not say only the PM does not need to apply for citizenship while other citizens need to do so.
However, such an elementary insight was lost on the former Tiranga TV journalist. Not just PM Modi, but everyone who is born in India, fulfilling the above criterion is a citizen of India, without having to apply for a certificate. While for the immigrants from other countries or those seeking asylum in India, certification of citizenship is mandatory since they will be applying for India’s citizenship by registration and naturalisation, which comes under different sections of the Citizenship Act and different rules and regulations apply for granting of citizenship to such naturalised citizens.
For example, Congress interim Sonia Gandhi will have a certificate of citizenship, as she became India citizenship not by birth, but by applying for it after immigrating to India following her marriage with former PM Rajiv Gandhi. At present, there is no provision for issuing citizenship certificates to Indian citizens who acquired citizenship by birth. Therefore no such citizens have citizenship certificate, not only Narendra Modi as alleged by Seemi Pasha.
In addition, Pasha’s assertion that everyone, including PM Modi, should have a citizenship certificate holds a profound paradox. While Pasha is avowedly against the CAA, NRC, and NPR, her demand that every citizen should have a citizenship certificate is nothing but a call for a country-wide implementation of NRC, as only after NRC is carried out, citizens can be issued with citizenship certificates.
Former Jawaharlal Nehru University Student Union President and Communist Party of India leader Kanhaiya Kumar forgot the National Anthem while reciting it in a rally in Patna. The ‘Save Constitution, Save Citizenship’ Rally was conducted in the historic Gandhi Maidan in Patna to protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act.
Kanahiya Kumar called upon the crowd to sing along the national anthem, but he himself forgot the national anthem.
Kanhaiya Kumar called up to people participating in a rally to sing National Anthem and himself started singing. After almost completing the anthem, Kanhaiya Kumar sang the wrong lyrics at the end. He sang “Jana Gana Mana Adhinayak” instead of “Jana Gana Mangal Dayak” in the end.
Tushar Gandhi, Medha Patkar, Aishe Ghosh, Alka Lamba, Kannan Gopinathan, Najeeb’s mother Fatima Nafees and Rohith Vemula’s mother Radhika Vemula were present along with Kanhaiya Kumar in the Save Constitution, Save Citizenship rally.
In the rally, Kanhaiya Kumar hit out at centre terming CAA as a black law. He stated the political parties and their agenda is responsible for the Delhi riots. The country has to decide whether it wants to move further on Gandhi’s morals or Godse.
Singing the National Anthem and reading the preamble of the Constitution has become a regular part of anti-CAA agitations held across the country by left-liberals, to prove their claim that they are opposing the act to protect the constitution.
Yesterday, the Aam Aadmi Party-led Delhi Government sanctioned the Delhi police to investigate the Sedition case against Kanhaiya which was lodged on 13 February 2016 after Anti-national slogans were raised in JNU Campus. In January 2019, a charge sheet was filed against Kanhaiya Kumar, Umar Khalid and Anirban Bhattacharya.
A raft of people gathered at Jantar Mantar for a protest march against the gruesome anti-Hindu riots presided over by Islamist forces in the last few days in the National Capital.
The protest march was organised by the Delhi Peace Forum, an NGO, at Jantar Mantar against the ravaging communal violence that claimed 42 lives in northeast Delhi. Chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram’, ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ filled the air as thousands of people assembled at the place in solidarity with those who suffered from the violence inflicted by the Islamists.
The demonstration was also attended by BJP leader Kapil Mishra who had recently been under attack from Islamist apologists for asking the anti-CAA protesters to vacate squatted roads.

Placards bearing photos of Ankit Lal, Ratan Kumar and Vinod Kashyap were held by the demonstrators marching in the rally. Chants of “Jihadi terror down down’ and “Vardi me Samman mein, Desh bhakt maidan mein” also reverberated the air as the protesters marched through Delhi’s Connaught Place.

Delhi witnessed widespread violence as Muslim anti-CAA protesters went on a rampage against Hindus. About 148 FIRs have been filed in the case and as many as 23 people arrested by the police, besides holding several hundred others in preventive custody.
After American daily Wall Street Journal published a slanderous report misquoting murdered IB sleuth Ankit Sharma’s brother to allege that his brother was killed by armed Hindu men, another news daily, Jansatta too carried a similar reportage alleging that Ankit Sharma was murdered by sword-wielding goons chanting “Jai Shri Ram” slogans.
The misleading report was published in Jansatta on February 29. The report claims that the murdered IB officer Ankit Sharma’s brother had made a shocking revelation that his brother was murdered by “Jai Shri Ram” chanting and sword-wielding goons. The report quotes the fallacious Wall Street Journal report to assert that the deplorable murder of Ankit Sharma was committed by Hindus, contrary to the reports which hold incensed Muslim mob responsible for his murder.
On Wednesday, the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) published a report titled, “India’s Ruling Party, Government Slammed Over Delhi Violence”. In its report, the WSJ claimed that Ankur Sharma, the brother of the deceased IB officer allegedly said to them that the rioters had come armed with stones, rods, knives, and even swords, and shouted slogans ‘Jai Shri Ram’ before attacking his brother Ankit Sharma.
As per WSJ’s assertions, Ankur Sharma accused Hindu groups of attacking his brother Ankit Sharma, who was later found brutally murdered in Delhi.
However, the claims made by WSJ is far from the truth as Ankit’s family has been consistent in their statements that their boy was dragged by a Muslim mob that had come from Tahir Hussain’s house.
Multiple eyewitnesses had corroborated that Sharma was dragged by an enraged Muslim mob from inside the house of AAP leader Mohammad Tahir Hussain and subsequently killed by them. Sharma, having stabbed hundreds of times with his intestines pulled out, was found dead and abandoned inside a ditch in Chand Bagh neighbourhood.
The report by Jansatta comes after Ankit’s brother Ankur Sharma had already categorically denied the Wall Street Journal’s fabrications and invalidated its report. “I have never given such a statement to the Wall Street Journal. This is a ploy to defame my brother and my family. The Wall Street Journal is lying,” he said to Prasar Bharati News Service.

Complaints have been already filed against WSJ in Delhi and Mumbai for their fake news. The media house has been accused of “defaming a particular religion and propagating communal hatred” in connection with its misreporting on the Ankit Sharma’s murder.
Earlier, Speaking to Times Now, Ankur Sharma had alleged that at least 40-50 people associated with AAP leader Tahir Hussain took his brother and had murdered him. “They killed my brother and some others and threw them in the drain. They have recovered three more bodies from the drain. Tahir Hussain is behind the incident,” said Ankur Sharma. Ankur also reiterated that it was the mob inside the AAP leader Tahir Hussain’s house who mercilessly dragged him inside and inflicted unspeakable atrocities on him.
However, despite Ankur Sharma’s repeated assertions that his brother was killed by a frenzied Muslim mob sheltered inside AAP corporator Tahir Hussain’s house, a concerted attempt seems to be underway to whitewash the Islamists accused of his murder and instead pass the blame on the Hindus for the reprehensible act.
Delhi has been in the throes of unprecedented anti-Hindu riots in the last few days. Enraged Muslim mob ran amok, attacking Hindus, properties owned by them and their religious places of worship. A Shiva Temple was attacked by the Muslim mob inside Tahir Hussain’s bungalow in Moonga Nagar. Shops of Hindus were specifically targeted by Islamists in Shiva Vihar in Karawal Nagar.
While the sheer enormity of savagery and barbarity inflicted on the IB sleuth Ankit Sharma by the Muslim mob in Delhi’s Chand Bagh area allegedly headed by Tahir Hussain left the nation appalled, the leftist propaganda website, The Wire tried to dilute the depravity heaped upon him by saying that he was ‘believed to be beaten to death’.

Though the IB officer, Ankit Sharma, finds a mention in the report at number nine, the reason for his death has been mentioned as “believed to have been beaten to death”.

The Wire, by saying that Ankit Sharma was ‘beaten to death’, not only attempt to water down the brutality meted at him but also tries to scale down the magnitude of bestiality inflicted on the Hindus by the Islamists in Delhi as a whole. It is, in fact, a shoddy attempt to shield the Islamist aggressors and cover-up their spiteful mindset.

The autopsy report said that Ankit Sharma was stabbed over 400 times, and his body had been mutilated beyond belief. He had stab wounds all over his body and not even a single portion of it was spared. He was stabbed for hours, four to six hours, by possibly as many as six individuals together, according to the report. Moreover, his intestines were ripped apart, said the autopsy report. Forensic doctors have reportedly said that they haven’t seen such nightmarish mutilation in their lives. The report said that the body had “multiple abrasion.. deep cut.. by sharp edge objects”.
The panel of doctors, who carried out post mortem, had clearly stated that Ankit Sharma was brutally and repeatedly stabbed, which had caused his death.
According to the multiple eyewitnesses accounts, along with Ankit Sharma, there were three other people too who were dragged away by the frenzied Muslim mob inside Hussain’s building. However, one of them managed to make a miraculous escape and perhaps dodged an excruciating death. OpIndia got in contact with this escapee to seek more details about the gory incident.
The minor boy, who was successful in rescuing himself, laid bare his experience in chilling details about the carnage unleashed by the Muslim mob sheltered inside now expelled AAP leader Tahir Hussain’s building. “They were dragging us inside the building. I somehow evaded their grip and extricated myself. But when I looked back, all three were missing,” the boy said in a trembling voice while referring to the three people including Ankit Sharma who were dragged inside Hussain’s building by the murderous mob.

Ravinder Sharma, the father of IB official Ankit Sharma had divulged that his son had gone missing along with his two friends on Tuesday, soon after he returned from work around 4.30 pm. Pinning the blame on AAP councillor Tahir Hussain and his men for the death of his son, Kumar alleged that his son’s body was thrown from a mosque into the drain.
Speaking to OpIndia editor Nupur J Sharma, Ankit’s brother Ankur also divulged the chilling sequence of events that led to the brutal murder of his brother. He said that the Muslim mob had dragged Ankit to Tahir Hussain’s house, the AAP corporator. While Ankit was being dragged inside by the Muslim mob, from the 4 storey building belonging to Tahir Hussain, stones started raining down on everyone below.
In fact, it was not just stones that rained down. Ankur says that along with stones, petrol bombs and even gunshots were being rained own by the Islamists from inside Tahir Hussain’s building.
According to Ankur, this was being done so nobody would attempt to rescue Ankit. As soon as Ankit started being dragged inside the house, Hindus ran to rescue Ankit, however, they were fended off by the rain of stones, petrol bombs and bullets.
“Unhone Ratan Lal ko bhi maara, DCP ko zakhmi kiya, ye log police ke logon ko maar rahe hai. Ankit ne apne aap ko IB officiial bataya, isiliye maar giraya”, Ankur said.
As it has emerged, AAP Corporator Tahir Hussain is smack in the middle of this brutal saga where Ankit, a young, dedicated IB officer was brutally murdered. Eyewitnesses have said that Ankit Sharma was dragged in the house that belongs to Tahir Hussain, AAP corporator, by a Muslim mob along with two others. Images and footage of Tahir Hussain himself wielding a laathi have emerged along with the rooftop of his house, littered with stones and petrol bombs. The roof of his house was used by hundreds of Islamists to throw stones and petrol bombs on people in the area.
An FIR has been registered against Tahir Hussain under section 302(a) of the IPC for the murder of Ankit Sharma, on a complaint filed by Ankit’s family. The AAP ex-councillor reportedly went missing immediately after the complaint was filed against him and is still absconding.
While the country reeled under the shock of a government official being so brutally tortured during the Delhi riots, the Left media, treated Ankit Sharma as just another name.
The Left media followed the decided narrative of the rest of the Islamist apologists to the very last word. Till the FIR was filed, several Left media outlets did not even bother covering the brutal murder of Ankit Sharma.
