After a video of a 77-year-old man being assaulted and dragged out of Chattarpur district hospital in Madhya Pradesh went viral on social media, the authorities have sacked a doctor and a Red Cross worker, and suspended the superintendent

Several videos of the incident surfaced on social media showing two communities clashing. Some individuals were seen pelting stones at the police. In another video, police officers were seen using mild force to disperse the crowd. Amidst the unrest, several youths reached Hanuman Chowk and staged a protest by blocking the road. They demanded strict action against those responsible.

In November 2022, it was reported that a Dalit couple and their families were forcefully converted to Christianity by Ajai Lall. The victims were harassed by the Church authorities.

Madhya Pradesh government has launched a probe after allegations that a man pretended to be a British cardiologist and performed heart surgeries at Christian Missionary Hospital in Damoh, resulting in the death of 7 patients.

According to the FIR, the victim had initially sought treatment from Khan due to illness. During these visits, Khan allegedly began influencing her to adopt Islamic beliefs while disparaging Hindu customs. He reportedly lured the victim with false promises of a better future, higher education, and luxuries. He attempted to pressure her into converting to Islam.
