Yogi snubs Trudeau, deputes bureaucrats to welcome the Canadian PM

Justin Trudeau, the Canadian PM who is visiting India on a 7-day official tour to India and was received by MoS for Agriculture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. He had displayed a dangerous attitude toward India and Punjab CM Amarinder Singh when in an attempt to appease Khalistani sympathisers back home, had refused to meet the Punjab CM.

Now, in Agra, he was received by the district magistrate. The UP chief minister seems to have noticed the inclinations of Trudeau in the past few days. This differential treatment to Trudeau has been noticed in the media. Unlike the case of Canadian PM, Yogi Adityanath had personally received Benjamin Netanyahu earlier this year when he had visited India.

Justin Trudeau hopes to build India- Canada relationship in a way that creates jobs and improves connection between people. However, he will have to give respect to India and rein in Khalistani elements operating from his soil. Mere lip service will not suffice.
