PM Modi in MP says I.N.D.I Alliance has a hidden agenda of finishing Sanatan Dharma, the traditions that kept Bharat together for 1000 years: Watch

On Thursday, September 14, PM Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the I.N.D.I Alliance, saying that it wants to erase Sanatana Dharma and push the country back into slavery for 1,000 years. Terming the opposition bloc as ‘ghamandiya’ (arrogant) the PM said that they have decided on a “hidden agenda” to destroy ‘Sanatan Dharma’ which gave inspiration to Swami Vivekananda and Lokmanya Tilak.

The PM hit out at the opposition bloc while addressing a gathering in Bina, Madhya Pradesh where he laid the foundation stone of a Rs 49000 crore worth petrochemical complex at BPCL’s Bina Refinery.

Coming as his first public response to DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin’s offensive remark about Sanatana Dharma, Modi asserted that the opposition bloc has decided to carry out a covert strategy to undermine our faith and culture. He asserted that they are committed to eradicating the customs and values that have kept Bharat unified for the past 1000 years.

“They held a meeting in Mumbai recently, and I think they decided the politics and strategy of how to run the ‘ghamandiya’ alliance there. They have also decided on a hidden agenda. The strategy is to attack the culture of India. They have decided to attack the faith of Indians and finish the thoughts, values and traditions that have united the country for thousands of years.”

He stepped up his criticism of the I.N.D.I Alliance by asserting that they have decided to eradicate the Sanatana culture and traditions, which not only inspired Devi Ahilyabai Holkar to carry out social work and reforms and unwaveringly work towards the upliftment of women in every nook and cranny of the country but also inspired Swami Vivekanand to teach the people of the country against the evils of society. It propelled Gandhi’s nonviolent principles, motivated Lokmaniya Tilak to lead the effort to liberate ‘Maa Bharati’ from the British and also went on to provide strength to Rani of Jhansi, Lakshmibai to challenge the Britishers.

PM Modi said MK Gandhi considered Sanatana Dharma to be essential to his life and was inspired by Lord Ram, which is why his last words were “hey Ram”. The freedom fighters who were hanged by the British, he asserted, were motivated by this culture to declare that they wished to be born in ‘Bharat Mata’ again.

“The ‘ghamandiya’ alliance has resolved to finish the Sanatana culture and traditions that inspired Devi Ahilyabai Holkar. It was the strength of Sanatana that the Rani of Jhansi, Lakshmibai, could challenge the British and say that she would not give up her Jhansi,” said PM Modi.

DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin and his party leaders speak about eradicating Sanatan Dharma

Modi’s remark came in the wake of Tamil Nadu minister Udhayanidhi Stalin’s remark against Sanatan Dharma. On 2 September, the son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin addressed the “Eradicate Sanatan Conference” in Chennai. He not only likened Sanatana Dharma to mosquitoes, dengue, flu, malaria, and coronavirus but also called for its eradication. Udhayanidhi was backed by I.N.D.I alliance leaders including the Congress.

Tamil Nadu minister Udhayanidhi Stalin’s remark had a cascading effect with many other leaders of his Hindu-hating party coming up to make similar hateful remarks against Sanatan Dharma.

On Monday (11 September), a Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) MLA from Thiuvarur, K. Poondi Kalaivanan, courted controversy for asking female students of a college to speak at an anti-Sanatan Dharma event.

On 6th September, DMK MP A Raja added fuel to the controversy by saying that Udayanidhi was soft while commenting on Sanatan Dharma and added it should have been compared to HIV and social stigmas.

Again on 6th September, DMK leader Constantine Ravindran was heard saying that “no one is educated in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar because of Sanatana Dharma”. “They are brainless. They don’t have rational thinking about life,” said the DMK spokesperson.

Earlier, an FIR was filed in Uttar Pradesh against the son of Tamil Nadu CM for his disparaging remarks about Sanatana Dharma.

Meanwhile, PM Modi held a mega roadshow in the Bina district of Madhya Pradesh, where he also laid the foundation stone of a petrochemical complex worth Rs 49,000 crore at the Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) refinery in Bina.

According to Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), the project will create 15,000 jobs during the building phase alone, in addition to another one lakh direct and indirect employment opportunities, and considerably advance skill development in the area.

AAP denies putting teachers as bus-in-charge to ferry workers to Arvind Kejriwal’s rally, teachers contradict and say denial is greater disrespect

0

On 13th of September, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab refuted the allegations raised against Bhagwant Mann-led govt that teachers from at least five districts were assigned duties as ‘bus-in-charges’ and ‘nodal officers’ to assist AAP workers coming to attend inauguration of a school. However, Indian Express’ investigation into the matter told a different story. The report suggests that the teachers were not only assigned duties as bus-in-charge but were also told to serve refreshments to the AAP workers.

As per the report, the teachers felt insulted and disrespected as the government denied they were assigned duties to ferry AAP workers. Reportedly, the District Education Officer (DEO) assigned these duties to the teachers. They had to travel to the destination along the “public” (read AAP workers) in state-owned PRTC busses. Around 300 teachers were given duties from different districts to ferry AAP workers. Notably, the teachers were diverted to duties at a “political event” at a time when state-run schools were conducting exams. There were strict orders from the education department that no teacher would go on leave to ensure students prepared properly for the exam. However, the school inauguration took the teachers in a different direction.

A teacher told Indian Express, “On one hand, Mann saab (CM) says that teachers won’t do any other work other than teaching, and on the other hand, we are being asked to accompany party workers that too during exams. We aren’t even sure what our mandate is for tomorrow’s visit. It is nothing more than a show of strength.”

The teachers started reaching the locations assigned to them at around 7 AM. Not only did they have to ensure AAP workers reached the event comfortably, but they also had to arrange a “publicity banner” that contained a photo of CM Mann and paste it on the bus. Furthermore, District Education Officers “ordered” the principals not to give any relaxation to the teachers from the duty. Bathinda DEO added more responsibility for the teachers and asked them to coordinate with the conductor and driver of the buses, the Indian Express report stated.

In a statement, one of the teachers, Manjinder Singh, said, “The people with whom we had to travel were mostly AAP workers and were already arranged by local MLA and his team. We were told that our duty was to ensure the bus leaves for Amritsar on time. I reached the starting point around 8 AM, tied the publicity banner on the bus, and distributed food packets that the food department had arranged. It was an order, so we had to go; otherwise, teachers had no role in the entire exercise. We don’t deserve this.”

DEO Barnala Shamsher Singh was assigned the duty of nodal officer. He said, “I travelled with 18 other teachers from my district, and we were asked to ensure that party workers who were on the bus faced no issues. We had to ensure that they got refreshments/breakfast in time.”

District president of Democratic Teachers Front (DTF) in Barnala, Rajiv Kumar, said they protested against the orders issued by the DEO assigning duties in a political event. He said the teachers were shocked to see DEO himself travelling with them. DEO informed the teacher the orders came from the deputy commissioner.

DTF Punjab spokesperson launched an attack on CM Mann and said, “On Teacher’s Day, tall claims were made by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann that teachers will only teach, but the reverse is happening. Teachers were first called to meetings by DEOs by issuing official orders and then directed to travel to Amritsar with AAP workers. Teachers were appointed as “bus in-charge” and even told to serve refreshments. The first such order to serve refreshments came in Bathinda, leading to strong teacher opposition. Then, they were told that they just had to coordinate. Each assembly segment was given a quota of PRTC buses, which the local MLA had to fill, and at least 750 state-owned buses in the state were engaged to ferry workers to the rally. It is a further insult and disrespect to teachers to claim that they never went on duty. They reached there early in the morning, and spent the entire day for a political event, and the AAP government now claims they were never given any such duty. It was an official duty, a government order, not an invitation.”

Ludhiana DEO Dimple Madaan said the education department organised the event, hence, the teachers were assigned duties. She said if not for teachers, who would have done the duties as the event was conducted by the education department. “The education department had invited people from all 14 assembly segments of Ludhiana to attend the inauguration. They were taken in buses to Amritsar, and teachers who accompanied them had to coordinate everything,” she added.

Sanatan Dharma is the national religion of Bharat, no one can question its perpetuity: UP CM Yogi Adityanath over DMK’s call for eradication of Sanatan

0

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on 13 September stated that Sanatan Dharma is the national religion of the country at the unveiling ceremony of Dhwajstambh (flagstaff) at Nath temple in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. He expressed regret that certain Indian citizens continue to deride the Sanatan Dharma which has long been persecuted.

His comments came against the backdrop of an inflammatory statement on Sanatan Dharma made by Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) leader and Tamil Nadu Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin at an event called “Eradicate Sanatan Conference” on 2 September in Chennai which led to a massive uproar in the country.

The Bharatiya Janata Party stalwart remarked, “Sanatana Dharma is eternal. Nobody can raise any question about its perpetuity. Sanatana Dharma is the national religion of Bharat.” He mentioned that the existence and truth of God have also been questioned, much like Sanatan Dharma which has been under attack since ancient times.

He noted that the nation has been referred to as Bharat since ancient times and its population has been called “Hindus” amid a political argument about “Bharat vs. India”. He stressed that “Hindu” is not a religious word, but the cultural identity of Indians.

“Unfortunately, some people are trying to put the Hindu identity within a narrow ambit. When Muslims from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh go to Mecca for Hajj (holy Muslim pilgrimage) they are addressed as Hindus in Saudi Arabia because it’s not a caste-related word, but a sign of cultural salutation of Bharat.”

He recited two shlokas and highlighted that everybody who resides in Hindustan is referred to as a Hindu. He emphasised, “Those who are trying to erase these concepts of Puranas and the originality of Bharat are trying to deceive history and the present.”

The chief minister complimented the British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and proclaimed, “Britain’s Prime Minister’s forefathers had migrated three generations ago. Rishi Sunak still proudly says he is Hindu which shows the traditions and customs of the heritage they have been following. He is proud to be a Hindu. He has no hesitation in going to the temple, worshipping Gau (cow) Mata, sitting in the presence of saints and saying Jai Shri Ram and Jai Siya Ram because his heritage is linked to the sanskara (values) and roots of the Sanatana Dharma.”

The prime minister of the United Kingdom had conveyed, “I’m a proud Hindu, and that’s how I was raised. That’s how I am,” in an interview in Delhi on 8 September when he came to participate in the G20 Leaders’ Summit.

The BJP leader observed, “There are some people who are cursing Sanatana Dharma. Despite living in Bharat, they don’t hesitate to attack the values, principles and ideals of Bharat. It happened in all periods. It’s also not for the first time that some people have denied the existence of God.”

“It is unfortunate that even today many people living in Bharat are humiliating Sanatan Dharma. They do not miss any opportunity to attack Indian values, ideals and principles. Even Ravan had also tried to attack the reality of God but what was the result,” he asked and voiced that powerful the king was “destroyed by his ego.”

He asserted that Mughal emperor Babar attempted to destroy the temple of Lord Ram in Ayodhya, but 500 years later, a great temple is being built at Ram Janmabhoomi (birthplace).

Derogatory remarks on Sanatan Dharma

Udhayanidhi Stalin, the son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin compared Sanatan Dharma to the coronavirus, malaria and dengue and alleged that such things should not be opposed but eradicated. Nilgiris MP and deputy general secretary of DMK, A Raja compared leprosy and Sanatan Dharma to one other. He served as a minister in the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA).

The junior Stalin garnered support from the Congress party including son of Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge, son of veteran Congressman P Chidambaram and Lok Sabha MP Karti P Chidambaram and Tamil Nadu Congress spokesperson and General Secretary Lakshmi Ramachandran for his outrageous statement.

Afterwards, another party leader and Minister in the Tamil Nadu cabinet K Ponmudy claimed that there is no disagreement in the I.N.D.I.A. bloc with respect to eradicating Sanatan Dharma. He further added that all 26 parties in the opposition alliance are united to fight Sanatan Dharma and the coalition was formed solely for this purpose.

CM Yogi in Madhya Pradesh

CM Yogi Adityanath landed at the Indore airport about 1 in the afternoon. He then took a helicopter to Ujjain to visit the Mahakal Temple. He spent some time in Raja Bharthari Gufa as well. He visited Srinath Mandir in South Tukoganj after leaving Rajwada Palace and paid floral respects to Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar on the occasion of her 228th death anniversary.

The 350th anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s coronation was then commemorated with the launch of a replica of his fort at his statue on the Bhopal Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) Corridor by the chief minister. He also attended a programme at Ravindra Natya Griha that was organised by Ahilya Utsav Samiti before he left for Lucknow.

Even as India was shining after the G20 summit, Shekhar Gupta could not get over old habits – obsession with terror factory Pakistan

Old habits die hard. Pakistan’s focus on grooming terrorists to attack India is one such habit. Brave jawans and officers of our army continue to scuttle their attacks to ensure we civilians are safe. And in this fight, they also end up making the ultimate sacrifice for the sake of India’s security. It is in times like these (when news of deaths of our jawans, police and officers come in), that a lot of outrage also happens on why we still want to play cricket with Pakistan (given the ongoing Asia Cup). While that outrage is totally understandable, I believe there is another old habit that we don’t outrage enough. And that old habit is about how our English media continues to wish well for Pakistan despite all these terror attacks.

While we were all rejoicing at the monumental announcement of the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor during the G20, Shekhar Gupta had something else going on in his mind – Pakistan! In his infinite profound wisdom, he writes:

Besides challenging China’s BRI, the Ind-ME-Europe corridor lays down stark choices for Pakistan. If it wants to join the global mainstream, it must bury the enmity of India & become a normal state. Or be a permanent Chinese vassal. Days of presuming Saudi-UAE patronage are gone

At a glorious juncture of India’s foreign policy, Shekhar Gupta couldn’t stop himself from thinking and writing about Pakistan. And more importantly, giving Pakistan unsolicited advice. Perhaps because old habits really die hard. Not too long ago, Shekhar Gupta and his entire ilk of English media were dishing out advice after advice to the Indian government on how to be nice to Pakistan. Those were the powerful days of English media driving the foreign policy discourse. The English media editors were an active part of all tracks of diplomacy with Pakistan. The consequence of their proximity to the corridors of the External Affairs Ministry is that Pakistan and only Pakistan dominated our discourse.

We were all witness to the charade that “Aman ki Asha” was. Pakistan was sending terrorists to kill us and all that our editors cared about was how to make Pakistan look good. Debates after debates were conducted only to shut down voices that demanded retribution and isolation of Pakistan. It was as if India’s role in the world was just to ensure peace with Pakistan at all costs (even the lives of its own citizens!).

This ilk once said that our Prime Minister hasn’t visited enough Muslim countries. A couple of years later, the Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) invited India to be the Guest of Honor at their summit meeting. Pakistan’s threats of boycotting this meeting had zero impact on the organization. While India was at the high table, Pakistan’s chair was empty. That spectacular isolation of Pakistan amongst what they considered as their own brethren didn’t teach any lessons to the friends of Pakistan in India.

When India delivered two big body blows to Pakistan – a surgical strike in Uri and an air attack on Balakot – the spectacular failure of Pakistan to get support from countries of their own brethren indicated how isolated Pakistan was becoming in the world.

While India was at the forefront of setting up alliance after alliance (ISA; Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure; SAGAR; Global Biofuels Alliance etc.), friends of Pakistan in India were still busy blaming Modi for isolating Pakistan and how that is actually impacting the progress on Climate Change goals for India. No, I am not kidding – an entire article was written on this premise!

Shekhar Gupta may wonder innocently “If Pakistan wants to join the mainstream” and provide unwanted advice to Pakistan, but the cold fact remains that Pakistan has only one obsession – spread Terror in India.  Pakistan’s idea of being in the mainstream is to groom terrorists and kill Indians. Pakistan’s friends in the world – the OICs, the big economic powers – are convinced that Pakistan needs to be isolated for the benefit of the world. Pakistan’s friends in India – the English media – must feel ashamed that they still want to help Pakistan when their own friends have started to isolate it.

India is a far bigger nation and brings in far higher value to the well-being of the world than what our English media had us believe so far. India surged in expanding her role in making the world a better place to live and gave two hoots to what Pakistan thinks or does.

Pre-2014, the obsession with Pakistan in our discourse was really something. Approximately a decade later, in 2023, the total absence of Pakistan in our foreign policy discourse is also really something! Indians are ready to conquer the world. Friends of Pakistan in India have to realise this and move away from their obsession.

Italy’s Lampedusa declares a state of emergency after around 7000 migrants arrive on the island in just 24 hours

0

In a dramatic situation in Lampedusa, the southern island of Italy, a massive influx of migrants has arrived by sea from North Africa posing challenges for Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s government. Mayor Filippo Mannino declared a state of emergency on the island of Lampedusa on Wednesday evening, September 13, following the arrival of thousands of migrants aboard boats.

According to the reports, Mannino requested assistance for his island, which he described as under “heavy pressure.” The mayor stated that the people were desperate. “Everyone has helped migrants who needed it in their own way, but it’s now time to find a structural solution,” he suggested.

Since Monday, September 11, boats carrying several thousand migrants have arrived on the island of Lampedusa, which lies between Sicily and North Africa. According to the Italian Ministry of the Interior, 5,000 individuals arrived on the Mediterranean island on Tuesday, September 12 alone.

The Lampedusa migrant registration camp, which has a capacity of 400 people, is entirely full. Currently, about 6,800 migrants are on the island, which has an area of roughly 20 square kilometres and a population of about 6,000 people. The island is 190 km from Sfax, Tunisia’s coastal city.

Tensions arose at the port on Wednesday, September 13 afternoon as hundreds of migrants attempted to leave and breach security barriers. There were videos circulating showing police attempting to push them back.

Transport Minister Matteo Salvini commented on the issue and said that some 120 boats arrived on Wednesday, September 13 alone. the migrants, as per the reports are climbing up Lampedusa’s rocky shores on their own, scuffling over food and bottles of water, and also are jumping into the sea to cool off.

“We will probably get to 100 landings today, the island can no longer sustain these numbers,” Mayor Filippo Mannino added.

According to interior ministry figures, over 118,500 boat migrants have arrived in Italy since the beginning of the year, nearly double the 64,529 registered in the same period in 2022.

Reports mention that Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who was elected last year on a promise to combat irregular immigration, has failed to reduce numbers as a crackdown on migrants in Tunisia and ongoing unrest in Libya have led to additional sea crossings from North Africa.

Worsening economic and social conditions in Tunisia have contributed to the rise, putting further strain on Lampedusa, Italy’s southernmost island and the first port of call for many crossings from North Africa.

Migrants who arrive in Lampedusa or elsewhere in Sicily usually leave, with many attempting to get to northern Europe.

Mayors in different areas have complained about being left with the main burden of caring for migrants, with no financial help from the federal government, particularly for unaccompanied children.

Members of the ruling coalition have accused the EU of failing to provide adequate support to Italy. Meloni led the EU to reach an agreement with Tunisia in July to halt migration flows, but the agreement has had little impact thus far. Charities have been accused of collaborating with human smugglers and urging migrants to set sail knowing that they will be rescued. Both charges, however, according to charities, are incorrect.

Italy is aiming for similar accords with other origin and transit countries. The government has also taken a harsh line on migrant rescue organizations, impounding their boats, prohibiting numerous rescues, and requiring them to go farther away to release migrants.

Anantnag encounter: Pakistan-sponsored Lashkar offshoot TRF claims responsibility, says it is revenge for killing of terrorist Riyaz Ahmed in PoK

0

On September 14, terrorist group ‘The Resistance Front’, an offshoot of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), has claimed responsibility for the Anantnag attack stating that it was an act of revenge for the killing of their terrorist in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). An Army Colonel, a Major, and a Deputy Superintendent of Jammu and Kashmir Police were martyred in the encounter on Wednesday (September 13).

On 8th of September, some unidentified gunmen opened fire inside the Al-Qudus mosque in Rawalkot, Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, and killed a wanted terrorist of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). The terrorist Riyaz Ahmad alias Abu Qasim was killed while offering Fajr prayers at the mosque.

Reports claim that the terrorist attack on September 13 in Kokernag was to seek revenge for Ahmed’s killing. Colonel Manpreet Singh, Commanding Officer of 19 Rashtriya Rifles, Major Ashish Dhonak, and Deputy Superintendent Humayun Bhat were fatally injured during an encounter with terrorists in the Kokorenag area of Anantnag. Colonel Singh died on the spot, and Major Dhonak and DSP Bhat succumbed to their injuries during treatment.

Another exclusive report by News18 claims that the top leadership of the Lashkar-e-Taiba is believed to be behind the Kokernag attack. According to sources quoted in the report, “foreign” terrorists are suspected to be involved with the alleged support of locals. Notably, former DGP of Jammu and Kashmir, SP Vaid, while speaking to a news channel, had said that a local source had given information about the terrorists.

“My initial information tells me that a source came to whoever was handling him that he had built a hideout where foreign terrorists were present. If you come along I will show you. And on that basis, the operation was launched. I think sometimes such sources are compromised also,” Vaid said.

The News18 report quoted sources saying, “The information was absolutely correct about the hideout, but before the attack from the Indian side, they attacked with full force. This hideout was a warlike store and many medicines from Pakistan and other sophisticated weapons were also recovered.”

The report added, “They are in touch with top trainers like Sajid Jat and Qasim. This is a deadly group that specialises in ambush.” Officials reportedly believe that the same terrorists were responsible for the 4th August attack on army personnel in the Halan forest area of Kulgam.

Meanwhile, operations are still underway in Anantnag where forces have encircled two Lashkar terrorists responsible for the death of Colonel Singh, Major Dhonak, and DSP Bhat.

Media manager of Venkatesh Prasad says he is getting threats from Islamists after Zubair doxxed him, twisted his tweets

Days after Alt News co-founder Mohammed Zubair unleashed his troll army on digital strategist and consultant Amritanshu Gupta for ‘managing’ the Twitter handle of ex-Indian cricketer Venkatesh Prasad, Gupta has said that he has started getting threats. Gupta said that Zubair has ensured that he gets threatening calls and intimidating messages by deliberately misinterpreting his tweets.

Amritanshu Gupta posted on X, “So Mohammad Zubair has ensured i get threatening calls and intimidating messages by deliberately misinterpreting. I have been on Twitter for 14 years & he could find 3 tweets with “Muslim” keywords search and 1 of them was a sarcastic comment on journalist citing an article in HT.”

This comes after Zubair launched an online attack on Gupta after Venkatesh Prasad called Zubair ‘serial hate monger’, responding to Zubair’s comment on him after his criticism of the BCCI and ACC over the mismanagement of the ongoing Asia Cup.

While the tweet exchange was between Zubair and Prasad, Zubair for some reason pulled Amritanshu Gupta into the debate, insinuating that the tweets by the cricketing legend were actually drafted by Gupta. The ‘fact checker’ also got angry after finding out that Gupta admired the work of PM Modi, interviewed BJP leader Smriti Irani and did not hold Rahul Gandhi in high esteem.

Zubair then posted 8-9 years old tweets by Amritanshu Gupta containing the word ‘Muslim’ to insinuate that he is anti-Muslim. One such tweet from 2015 says, ‘In secular India Gujarati Axar Patel has got a Muslim Amla out’, which is clearly a joke and does not exhibit any anti-Muslim hatred. Gupta said that his 2015 tweet calling Nirbhaya’s rapist a devout Muslim was also a sarcastic comment on Sagarika Ghosh citing a linked Hindustan Times report.

The third tweet pointed out by Zubair is actually a clarification by Gupta to OpIndia’s Nupur Sharma over a comment by Sadhguru. Sadhguru had tweeted that ‘if Yoga is Hindu, gravity must be Christian’, causing outrage against him. Gupta then said that there was a context to Sadhguru’s tweet, which was media outrage over claims that Muslims were denied Yoga.

Therefore, there was nothing anti-Muslim in all three tweets cited by Zubair, but he still labelled the tweets as anti-Muslim. With this, Zubair gave a cue to his Islamist supporters to go after Gupta, the same way his supporters had gone after former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma, resulting in the beheading of several Hindus by Islamists and Jihadis.

Now the same episode is repeating again, and a person is getting threats from Islamists for no reason. Zubair is targeting him because he is assuming that the tweets are Prasad are written by him. After that he deliberately wrongly interpreted Gupta’s benign tweets containing the word Muslim and labelled them as anti-Muslim, causing his troll army to attack Gupta and send him death threats.

The Background of the Controversy

On Saturday (September 9), Mohammed Zubair targeted Venkatesh Prasad over a deleted tweet on the mismanagement of World Cup 2023 ticket sales by the BCCI. The former cricket lambasted the fake news peddler for hatemongering on social media.

“Haha…Says a serial hate-monger, who has put so many lives in danger for his agenda. You disguising as a fact-checker is like Terrorists talking about peace. Now post that you need money to survive and ask for donation for your website, no shame in living off by fooling people,” he tweeted.

Prasad was soon targeted by the close-knit and vicious ecosystem of Congress leaders, leftists and Islamists on X (formerly Twitter). The ex-cricketer held his ground and refused to bow down to the bullying by the coterie.

“There are enough instances of this guy peddling his agenda, editing videos conveniently, working selectively and biasedly against a political party to make money. He is anything but a fact-checker. One doesn’t have to be blind to not see the reality in this. Regards,” he responded to one of the supporters of Zubair.

The dubious ‘fact checker’ was also left red-faced when Venkatesh Prasad reposted the deleted tweet, which was used by him to target the Indian cricketer.

With no comeback left, Zubair found the media manager of Venkatesh Prasad i.e. Amritanshu Gupta and unleashed his troll army on the latter. This is in line with his past antics, where he had led his online lynch mob after people for virtue of their different political ideologies. And now repeating history, Gupta is getting death threats from the troll army of Zubair.

Former VHP leader arrested for ‘derogatory’ comments about BR Ambedkar

0

In the early hours of Thursday, September 14, the Chennai police arrested a former Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader RBVS Maniyan from his residence in T Nagar. The ex-state unit leader of the Hindu outfit was arrested for allegedly making ‘derogatory’ remarks about Dr BR Ambedkar.

RBVS Manian has been booked under 5 sections including SC/ST act, 153,153(a).

“On September 11 at T Nagar Bharathiya Vidhya Bhavan during a spiritual event, Maniyan made derogatory remarks against Dalits which went viral on social media. Based on this Maniyan was arrested this morning and would be produced in court,” news agency ANI quoted Chennai Police as saying.

In a video, the VHP leaderwas heard saying, “Many people keep saying Ambedkar gave us the Constitution. They keep singing praises of him. He didn’t come up with anything of his own (while framing the Constitution). There will be a lot of discussions. All of that was written by a stenographer. The stenographer typed it. Then a person had to verify if what was typed was correct. That’s the job Ambedkar had,” he said.

The video went viral and caused a lot of stir online, prompting a social activist to file a complaint against RBVS Maniyan with the Chennai police.

Based on a complaint, the Chennai police registered a case against him under sections 153 (promoting enmity between groups), 505 (inciting violence), and other provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), and under Section 3 and relevant provisions of the SC-ST Act.

A police team led by T Nagar assistant commissioner of police Bharathiraja went to his house in Rajammal Street and arrested him on Thursday morning.

UP: Catholic school in Hapur forces students to throw away rakhis, rub off tilak from forehead, complaint filed

A Catholic school in Uttar Pradesh’s Tatarpur, St. Anthony’s Senior Secondary School in Hapur has been accused of insulting the Hindu religion and culture by forcing the students to remove tilak and Rakhis at the school. The teachers at the school are also said to have insulted the Hindu deities after which the parents of the students registered an official complaint to the police and also wrote to the CM’s office.

According to reports, the teachers at the school located in Tatarpur, Ghaziabad forced the students to remove the rakhis that they had adorned on their wrists. The rakhis were then thrown into the dustbin. The students informed this at their respective homes after which the parents reached the school on Wednesday, September 13, and protested against the teachers and the school.

The teachers have also been accused of threatening students with expulsion from the school if they failed to follow the orders. The parents then filed a police complaint and also registered their complaint on the state government’s portal.

Several Hindu organizations in the city also took cognizance of the event and demanded strict action against the school. They opined that the school was trying to influence the students against Hinduism by forcing them to throw their Rakhis and rub off the tilak on their foreheads.

The parents of the students alleged that the school had also insulted the Hindu Gods and Goddesses recently and the teachers there had influenced the students against Hinduism. The teachers forced the students to remove the tilak and on refusal threatened them to be removed from the school.

The parents reached the school on Wednesday, September 13, and protested against the insult. They said that their religious sentiments had been hurt and demanded strict action against the teachers. The school management then issued an apology to the parents and assured them that such incidents would not happen again.

However, the parents of the students at the school have registered an official complaint and also have sent copies of the same to CM’s office and to the Child Welfare Association.

Team OpIndia tried to call the school for its official statement but no response could be obtained. The report will be updated once we hear from the school.
