Seema Haider is cheating everyone, she moved to India only to watch world cup matches: Her friends, former boyfriend & a doctor make explosive claims

Pakistani woman Seema Haider (30) grabbed headlines after she was arrested on 4 July for illegally entering India. She had entered the country via Nepal around a month ago with her four children, all under the age of seven, to be with her lover, Sachin Meena (25), in Uttar Pradesh’s Greater Noida. The couple were released on bail on the 7th of July. They met through the popular online game PUBG: Battlegrounds in 2019.

Seema Haider accused her husband Ghulam Haider who is presently in Saudi Arabia of physically abusing her during their marriage. He recently released a video asking the Narendra Modi government to intervene in the matter. He wanted his wife and children to be sent back to Pakistan and alleged that she was lured and manipulated to come to India through PUBG.

The Pakistani government has also taken cognizance of the case. The government has reportedly sought information about the ongoing developments around Seema Haider.

Shocking claims of Seema Haider’s alleged friend

Now, some statements made in a 2-minute and 20-second video by a friend of Seema Haider have gone popular on social media. She can be seen wearing the burqa while talking to a YouTuber Syed Basit Ali. The woman claimed that Seema Haider prefers cricket over all other sports at the beginning of the conversation and remarked, “She is very crazy about the game. She also cheats a lot.”

She insisted that she was aware of Seema Haider’s impending trip to India and considered exposing her friend’s true face to everyone when she learned that the latter was converting her religion from Islam to Hinduism.

“If she sees this, the ground will give way beneath her feet,” the woman responded when asked if her friend would be able to recognise her in the video. She then reiterated that Seema Haider likes cricket even more than PUBG.

When asked about the reason behind the revelations, she answered, “I don’t need her. She has betrayed Islam.” She further continued that her friend was defrauding Hindus as well. The woman accused, “She can do anything. She was a Muslim who she has embraced Hinduism. She can also convert to Christianity tomorrow.” The woman called Seema a ‘psycho’, a ‘harami’.

The accusations of Seema Haider’s former boyfriend and others

Syed Basit Ali has talked to several other persons in Pakistan who knows Seema on the issue. Talkin to him, a man named Osama introduced himself as Seema Haider’s ex-boyfriend and charged that she had relationships with several other males in her native country, including Musa, Arif, Aslam and Sayan among others. He described her as very cunning and warned Sachin Meena that he would share their fate.

He stated that she is very fond of cricket and never missed an opportunity to watch Cricket World Cup matches. Osama claimed that Seema moved to India only to watch India-Pakistan cricket matches. He added that she had chosen a boy with the name Sachin Meena because of her strong affection for Sachin Tendulkar.

Osama added that he also met Seema through PUBG. He further warned Indians saying that just like today Seema has defamed Pakistan, and she will defame India later after her purposes are fulfilled. He claimed that she will return to her husband in Dubai after watching the world cup matches in India.

Accusing Seema Haider of defaming Muslims, Syed Basit Ali talked to another woman who claimed to be a friend of Seema. The woman claimed that Seema had done black magic on her husband before their marriage, she wanted to snatch her lover from her. The woman claimed that her husband is in a very bad status due to the black magic done to him, adding that her husband have come to footpath because of her.

She claimed that she will dump Sachin just like she dumped others earlier. She claimed that Seema cheated on her parents, her husband, and her husband, and she will also cheat on Sachin similarly. She added that Seema is not a Muslim, and she is not a Pakistani.

This woman also claimed that Seema moved to India only to watch cricket matches.

In order to ‘expose’ Seema Haider, Syed Basit Ali also interviewed a doctor, who had allegedly treated her. He said that she had gone to him over issues like anxiety, depression, aggression, panic, obsession with phones and games like PUBG, and tensions in family life. The doctor also claimed that Seema also had sexually transmitted diseases. He added that as she stay away from her patients and were in multiple live-in relationships, she got the STDs.

He said that the main issue with Seema was psychiatric disorders, adding that patients like her can harm anyone. Calling her a manic patient, he said that she can be dangerous for anyone who lives with her. The doctor claimed that Seema was his online patient.

The doctor claimed he is revealing confidential information about the woman because she has become a traitor and is defaming Islam.

Syed Basit Ali is a YouTuber and content creator and on his channel, he interviews people from various walks of life. Earlier one of his videos had gone viral in India where he had interviewed a young woman, a doctor, who had married into a rich family in Lahore, only to find out that the entire family was beggars.

Seema Haider’s 5 passports

There is also suspicion about Seema Haider because she possesses five passports. People asserted that she is a Pakistani spy who is playing the game of love to hide in India. Seema Haider acknowledged that she holds multiple passports in an interview.

“Sir, I have five passports. One passport is rejected because it has the name Seema on it. Nepali Embassy did not give me a visa. I also handed over that one to the police,” she proclaimed.

She voiced that she has her own Identity Document (ID) card when inquired about the same. She also has a Corona vaccination card along with a copy of her father’s ID card and her Pakistani spouse’s ID card.

Some even pronounced that the Pakistani woman speaks fluent English and is computer literate. According to them, she is actually an operative of the Pakistani intelligence agency who has been installed in India as part of a large-scale scheme by that country’s infamous spy agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).

In the opinion of former Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) Vikram Singh, both the police and the intelligence community should conduct a thorough investigation into the case. He also raised concern over how an average Pakistani mother and her four children can cross borders without a valid visa and move to Noida without being discovered by Indian authorities.

Threats issued over Seema Haider

A group of Pakistani men belonging to the Jhakrani tribe in Balochistan threatened to rape and kill Hindu women in Sindh if India does not send back Seema Haider and her children to their country. If the Indian Government rejected their demand, the men who appeared with their faces covered and holding guns, pledged to hunt down, rape and kill every Hindu female in Sindh, in an extremely profane language.

The Mumbai Police informed that its Traffic Control Room received a call from an unidentified Urdu-speaking caller, who warned the police of a 26/11-like terror attack if Seema Haider is not returned to Pakistan. “If Seema Haider doesn’t return, India will face destruction,” the person threatened. The Mumbai police started a search for the perpetrator and also notified their Uttar Pradesh police associates. However, per the officials, no case was reported as of yet.

AAP govt blames ‘politics’ for floods in Delhi and Punjab as it struggles to cope with the natural calamity

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)-run-governments in Delhi and Punjab have resorted to political blame games after they failed to prepare for the catastrophic floods in advance.

AAP supremo and Delhi CM, Arvind Kejriwal, has now blamed the Haryana government for putting the National Capital in such a perilous situation. As per reports, he has accused the BJP-ruled State of releasing water from the Hathnikund barrage and flooding Delhi.

On Wednesday (July 12), he wrote a letter to the Union Home Ministry and blamed the situation on the Haryana government instead of the incessant rain. Similar claims were made by AAP leader Atishi Marlena.

“It is a big question why all the water from Hathnikund Barrage was being released only for Delhi. Not a single drop of water was released into the canals going to UP and Haryana from there. Haryana will have to answer for this. Can the flood situation in Delhi have been avoided?” she hinted a larger conspiracy of the BJP govt.

In a statement, Devender Singh, the advisor (Irrigation) to Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar, pointed out that the Hathinikund is a barrage and not a dam, which can be used to store water.

AAP blames Centre, Haryana govt for waterlogging in Punjab

Meanwhile, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann claimed that the Centre, through the Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB), was scheduled to release 20000 cusecs of water into the Sutlej River and the situation was averted only after the government’s objection.

Another Punjab Minister named Chetan Singh Jauramajra accused the Haryana government of being responsible for waterlogging in several villages of Punjab. He claimed that the Manohar Khattar-led-government failed to clean a siphon in the Ghaggar River on the Hansi-Butana canal stretch on time.

“CM Kejriwal is not fulfilling his responsibilities, their duty was to get the desilting and gate check done which is a standard practice before monsoon. They did not do this and are now blaming the Haryana govt,” remarked Haryana Media Secretary, Praveen Attrey.

Delhi’s systems can’t handle this much rain: Arvind Kejriwal

Amidst the heavy rain that has wreaked havoc on the National Capital, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal appeared to have surrendered to the situation.

On July 10, he conceded that Delhi’s systems could not withstand such unprecedented rain. Kejriwal claimed that the city received over 153 mm of rain on July 8 and July 9 this year and that the water level of the Yamuna river was not going to rise too much.

While speaking about the river crossing the danger-level mark, he said, “As per Central Water Commission, Yamuna river is flowing at 203.58 meters in Delhi. It is expected to reach 205.5 meters tomorrow morning. Also, according to weather predictions, the water level in Yamuna is not expected to rise too high.”

Complaint filed against Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav and Patna SSP over BJP leader’s death in police lathi-charge

Days after Bihar BJP leader Vijay Kumar Singh died due to a lathi-charge conducted by the Bihar police, a complaint was lodged against Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, a senior police officer, and Patna’s district magistrate. The complaint has been lodged by BJP worker Krishna Singh in Patna civil court.

The BJP has also formed a four-member committee of party MPs to investigate the alleged use of unjustified force by Bihar Police on its leaders during a protest march on 13th July. The BJP says that one of its members, Vijay Singh, was killed and numerous others were injured in a police lathi charge in Patna on Thursday when BJP leaders took out a march to protest against the Bihar government over the posting of teachers and the employment issue in the state.

However, the police have claimed that Vijay Singh didn’t die due to the police action. They have claimed that CCTV footage showed that the BJP’s Vijay Kumar Singh was not at the Dak Bungalow crossing when “mild” force was used to disperse the protestors. It has also been claimed by the police that the doctors said that there were no such injury marks on the body of the deceased BJP leader.

The police in its defence earlier, claimed that they tried to stop the march at the Dak Bungalow crossing, which inflamed the situation. The protesters were stopped from heading towards the restricted VIP area by the police using force.

BJP’s Krishna Singh has now filed a lawsuit in which he accused CM Nitish Kumar, deputy CM and Patna SSP Rajeev Mishra, and DM Chandrashekhar Singh of “murdering” a BJP worker. A complaint has been made under sections 302, 307, 341 and 323 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), as well as other pertinent sections.

Union Minister Nityanand Rai on the other hand claimed that Jungle Raj has returned in Bihar.

“It was similar to what the British had done with people protesting the Simon Commission. The kind of cruelty witnessed on the streets of Patna was a reminder of General Dyer who is remembered for his barbaric way of crushing those demanding justice. Indeed, Jungle Raj 3.0 has arrived in Bihar,” stated Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai.

Eyewitness who claimed Vijay Singh was not beaten by police changes statement

Earlier, a person named Bharat Prasad Chandravanshi, who was with Vijay Singh, had said that Vijay Singh was injured after he fell in the stampede during the protest. His statement given in Patna was being used by SP leaders to claim that the BJP leader didn’t die due to the police lathi charge.

But now Bharat Prasad Chandravanshi, saying that Vijay Sinhg was indeed assaulted by police. He said that he gave the wrong statement in a hurry. He said that Vijay Singh was lathichrged by police, after which he fell down on the ground. Chandravanshi gave the updated statement to the media after returning to Jehanabad from Patna.

Bharat Chandravanshi told that he and Vijay Singh along with 10-12 of party workers had gone to Patna to participate in the protest. As soon as they reached Gandhi Maidan, police started lathi charges on the BJP workers. Soon after that there was a stampede among the workers present there. His companion Vijay Singh also became a victim of police lathi-charge and he got hurt on his head and fell down.

Chandravanshi said that Vijay Singh was taken in a rickshaw to Tara Hospital, where his treatment was started. But later doctors said that he has succumbed to the injuries. Still, he was taken to PMCH, where doctors declared him brought dead.

‘Frustrated dynast’: BJP leader Smriti Irani slams Rahul Gandhi over his tweet mocking PM Narendra Modi

On Saturday, July 15, Union Minister and senior BJP leader Smriti Irani slammed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for taking a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his “silence” on the Manipur issue.

Calling Rahul Gandhi a “frustrated dynast”, Smriti Irani lambasted the Gandhi scion saying that Rahul Gandhi regularly seeks foreign intervention in India’s internal matters and mocks India when PM Modi received a national honour.

“A man who seeks international intervention in India’s internal matters, a frustrated dynast who sullies the ‘Make in India’ ambition mocks India when our PM receives a National honour. Rejected by people, he seethes as defence contracts no longer land at the doorstep of dynasty,” Irani tweeted.

Irani’s tweet came in response to Gandhi’s tweet wherein he took a dig at PM Modi saying that while European Parliament is discussing India’s internal matter—Manipur violence, the prime minister Modi has not said anything on the issue. He also mocked India’s defence deal with France to procure Rafale Marine jets and PM Modi’s presence at the Bastille Day parade.

“Manipur burns. EU Parliament discusses India’s internal matter. PM hasn’t said a word on either! Meanwhile, Rafale gets him a ticket to the Bastille Day Parade.” Rahul Gandhi tweeted on Saturday.

It is notable the European Parliament held an ‘urgent’ discussion on the Manipur issue on July 12th 2023 during its plenary session at Strasbourg. The discussion was scheduled under ‘Debates on cases of breaches of human rights, democracy and the Rule of Law’.

The European Parliament’s move was met with severe criticism from the Indian government as the Ministry of External Affairs on July 13th issued a statement terming the European Parliament’s interference in India’s internal matters as not only unacceptable but also mirrors their colonial mindset. The MEA also advised to “utilize its time more productively on its internal issues.”

Irony died a painful death when a ‘disqualified’ MP Rahul Gandhi who has a track record of desperate attempts at seeking foreign intervention in India’s internal matters tried to corner PM Modi over European Parliament discussing the Manipur issue whose most members can hardly even locate Manipur on a map.

Recently, Rahul Gandhi was criticised by the BJP over his meeting with Sunita Vishwanath, the co-founder of a US-based organisation called “Hindus for Human Rights”. Notably, Vishwanath’s organisation, funded by George Soros, has a history of peddling vicious lies and propaganda against Hindus. BJP alleged that the Congress scion has links with controversial financier and billionaire George Soros.

OpIndia has in detail reported on how Rahul Gandhi over the last few years has been seeking foreign intervention in India’s internal issues. During his UK visit in March this year, Rahul Gandhi urged the US and Europe to intervene to “restore” democracy in India. Rahul claimed that Europe and the US are not doing enough to restore democracy in India as they are getting trade and money from the country.

Rahul Gandhi’s attack on PM Modi over Rafale deal despite Supreme Court dismissing corruption allegations

As the Indian Navy was looking for options to replace its ageing fleet of MiG-29K, the Defence Ministry on July 13th approved a proposal to buy 26 Rafale fighter aircraft and three Scorpene class conventional submarines for the Indian Navy from France. It is worth noting that By the end of 2022, France had delivered all 36 Rafale fighter jets to India under a deal inked in September 2016.

In the year 2019, ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, the opposition led a vicious campaign against the Narendra Modi government, spearheaded by the Congress party, to insinuate a scam in the Rafale deal. Multiple petitions were filed in the Supreme Court by Congress-friendly persons such as Prashant Bhushan and others, urging the court to intervene and mandate a court-monitored investigation into the deal.  However, the Supreme Court rejected them in 2018, ruling them to be without merit. Later, in 2019, the Supreme Court denied review petitions as well.

Despite the Supreme Court verdict, Rahul Gandhi used the Rafale deal to attack PM Modi and score political points. The Congress scion led the infamous ‘Chowkidar Chor Hai’ campaign in 2019 alleging that Prime Minister Modi has been involved in alleged corruption in the Rafale deal. In April 2019, Gandhi while campaigning at a rally blatantly lied that the Supreme Court order says, “Chowkidar Chor Hai”. BJP spokesperson Meenakshi Lekhi had filed a contempt plea against the statement on which the SC had issued a notice to Rahul Gandhi. The court had stated that it has never said so.

Although PM Modi used the Congress Chowkidar Chor Hai jibe to his advantage with his hugely popular “Main Bhi Chowkidar” campaign, Rahul Gandhi had no choice but to tender an unconditional apology before the Supreme Court for “unintentionally and inadvertently” attributing the ‘Chowkidar Chow hai’ jibe against Prime Minister Modi to the court’s order on the Rafale Review petition.

Despite Rahul Gandhi and the opposition’s mudslinging against the Modi government and the prime minister the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance registered a historic victory in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

‘Govt should be serious to help rather than doing photoshoots’: As massive floods devastate Punjab, residents slam AAP Govt for inadequate response

Unprecedented torrential rains have plunged Punjab into a state of catastrophe, resulting in widespread destruction and loss of life. The magnitude of the flooding has left many towns submerged and residents grappling with unimaginable devastation.

According to a report by The Tribune, the death toll due to the devastating floods has reached 19 in Punjab. Over 22,000 individuals have been evacuated from waterlogged areas across various flood-hit districts. 20 houses have collapsed and a number of roads have been washed away over the last three days.

The distressing scenes captured in pictures and videos from throughout the state depict a grim reality. The financial toll of the disaster has already reached thousands of crores, further compounding the misery of the affected population.

Among the most severely impacted regions are the Sangrur and Patiala districts, where numerous breaches have occurred along the embankments of the Ghaggar River.

Tragically, despite minimal rainfall during the monsoon season, only three out of the 27 breaches have been repaired thus far. The scarcity of skilled manpower, coupled with the challenges posed by strong water currents at night, has impeded the repair efforts, according to an official from the Irrigation Department.

Expressing their frustration, many residents are questioning the AAP government’s commitment to helping the people in this time of crisis. Criticism has been directed at political leaders who appear to be more focused on photo-clicking opportunities in the flood-affected areas rather than taking decisive action.

The Chief Minister of Punjab, Bhagwant Mann, recently toured the flood-hit regions of Sangrur district, leading some to accuse him and his administration of neglecting their duties.

Ravjit Brar, a resident, exclaimed, “Where is the government? They are only coming to click photos for social media. Can’t they see the situation is worsening? We will never recover from it.”

Nevertheless, amidst the dire circumstances, the resilience of local communities has shone through. Residents have taken it upon themselves to provide support to those affected by distributing food and essential supplies via boats in the inundated villages.

The overflowing Ghaggar River continues to wreak havoc, particularly in the 35 villages of Samana and Shutrana in Patiala district. Farmers face substantial losses as their fields and homes are engulfed by floodwaters.

Drainage Department officials reported that the Tangri and Mankanda rivers, tributaries of the Ghaggar, are also experiencing surges. The worst-hit area, Devigarh, and its surrounding villages are grappling with extensive flooding, causing widespread disruption.

Jasveer Singh, a resident of Phullad village, emphasized the urgency of addressing the breached embankment there, stating, “We know it’s tough to reach the spot where the embankment has been breached at Phullad, but the authorities should not surrender. The breach will keep on widening and create serious problems in the coming days.”

Gursharan Virk, Executive Engineer, acknowledged the challenges faced in reaching the Phullad breach, saying, “The plugging work has been underway at Makraud Sahib and Banarasi villages. However, we currently lack accessibility to the breach site at Phullad Village. We need to devise a new strategy before restarting the work.”

As Punjab battles this devastating flood crisis, urgent measures are required to address the breaches and provide aid to the affected population. The government faces mounting pressure to demonstrate a more concerted response to the catastrophe, prioritizing the well-being of the people over political posturing.

Uttar Pradesh: Samajwadi Party MLA Dara Singh Chauhan resigns from State Assembly to return to BJP

Former Uttar Pradesh minister Dara Singh Chauhan, who had previously resigned from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and joined the Samajwadi Party (SP) ahead of the state assembly elections in 2022, made headlines again as he resigned from the assembly on 15th July 2023. Chauhan has expressed his intention to join the BJP, marking a significant political shift.

Dara Singh Chauhan was elected as a member of the Legislative Assembly from the Ghosi seat in Mau. However, he has now stepped down from his position. Chauhan formally submitted his resignation letter to Speaker Satish Mahana, as confirmed by Uttar Pradesh Assembly Principal Secretary Pradeep Dubey.

In his resignation letter, Chauhan stated, “I, Dara Singh Chauhan, currently a member of the Legislative Assembly representing 354-Ghosi in Mau district, hereby tender my resignation from the membership of the Legislative Assembly.”

Speculation had been rife in recent days regarding Chauhan’s potential move to the BJP. It’s noteworthy that he had previously served as the forest minister in the BJP government before joining the Samajwadi Party prior to the elections.

Dara Singh Chauhan’s resignation is being perceived as a setback for the Samajwadi Party. Notably, Chauhan began his political journey with the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and was a member of the Rajya Sabha in 1996 and 2000. Furthermore, he secured victory in the Lok Sabha election from Ghosi on a BSP ticket in 2009. There are speculations that he might contest Lok Sabha elections again from Ghosi, this time on a BJP ticket.

Regarding Chauhan’s resignation, Samajwadi Party spokesperson IP Singh remarked, “Dara Singh Chauhan had expressed his desire to contest the Lok Sabha elections from Ghosi in Mau and had been in contact with the BJP for months. The Samajwadi Party demands by-elections for the 354-Ghosi assembly seat and the Ghazipur Lok Sabha seat. Although the Ghazipur Lok Sabha seat is vacant, the BJP appears reluctant to contest, resulting in the postponement of the election.”

Uttar Pradesh: SP leader Shaheen Begum humiliates a Dalit man in her office, made him apologise at her feet; video viral

Samajwadi Party leader and president of Pihani Municipality in Hardoi Shaheen Begum insulted a Dalit man named Rajaram, son of Rampal. The video has gone viral since the evening of 14 July on social media and earned furious reactions from the netizens who called out the politician for her despicable behaviour.

The man laid his head near the feet of the politician and asked her for forgiveness with folded hands while some people commented about apologising loudly in the background. Meanwhile, Shaheen Begum kept smiling throughout the instance.

After the footage surfaced on social media platforms, the individual who is a resident of Mohalla Mir Sarai and a sweeper by profession claimed that the entire episode is manipulated and he only touched her feet to seek her blessings. He also referred to Shaheen Begum as a mother figure.

On the other hand, she labelled it as a political conspiracy against her. Despite all the justifications, Rajaram can be clearly heard pleading, “Forgive me for my big mistake.” Furthermore, someone from behind directed him to speak in a higher voice. “Forgive me once, and there will be no mistake again,” the victim reiterated. Afterwards, the woman commanded him to get back to his feet.

Now, he has registered a complaint at the police station and alleged that the 16-second video is presenting facts wrongly.

The infuriated reaction of the netizens

Social media users, however, have not hesitated to vent their indignation about the occurrence. Randomsena urged Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to use bulldozers at the house of the Samajwadi leader.

Drawing a comparison with the Sidhi urination case, he asked, “If the house of Pravesh Shukla who urinated on a poor man can be bulldozed, then why can’t her house be bulldozed?” He further questioned the silence of Dalit activists over the shameful event.

Another netizen charged, “Since she’s a Muslim and belongs to the Samajwadi Party, no Dalit activists will open their mouths. Had she been an upper-caste Hindu, Brahmanical Patriarchy would’ve been trending for weeks.”

“This is SP’s municipality president Shaheen Begum. There is a Dalit sweeper begging at her feet. Her smile reflects SP’s socialist thinking,” Sudhir Mishra inquired. He added, “Think about what individuals like Azam, Atiq and she would do to Dalits and the poor if SP had been in power?”

Aquib Mir tagged the Samajwadi Party supremo and former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav and wrote, “Municipal President Shahin Begum forced a Dalit man to beg when he came here seeking a small help. Since she’s a Muslim and belongs to the Samajwadi Party, no Dalit activists will open their mouths.” He urged people to retweet the clip.

Another user slammed the politician and repeated, “Municipal President Shahin Begum forced a Dalit man to beg when he came here seeking a small help. Since she’s a Muslim and belongs to the Samajwadi Party, no Dalit activists will open their mouths.”

Comparison with the Sidhi urination incident

The occurrence has sparked widespread resentment online, and it is being contrasted to the Sidhi urination case where Pravesh Shukla (30) was accused of urinating upon a tribal man, named Dashmat Rawat and the video of the incident went viral on social media.

He was thereafter arrested and booked under various sections of the Indian penal Code, Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and in addition to the National Security Act. A portion of his residence which was constructed illegally was also demolished by the administration.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan apologised to Dashmat Rawat and washed his feet at his official residence in Bhopal. He also received financial support from the state government in the amount of Rs 5 lakh and another Rs 1.5 lakh for the construction of his home.

Rahul Gandhi moves Supreme Court against Gujarat HC order refusing to stay his conviction in Modi surname defamation case

0

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday approached the Supreme Court challenging the Gujarat High Court order which declined to stay his conviction in the criminal defamation case in which he was sentenced to two years in jail by Surat court over ‘Modi surname’ remark.

After his conviction in the case, Gandhi was declared disqualified as MP from Kerala’s Wayanad on March 24 following a notification of the Lok Sabha Secretariat. Gandhi was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment which disqualified him as an MP under the rigours of the Representation of People Act.

The High Court on July 7 affirmed the decision of a Gujarat Sessions court, which had refused to put on hold a magisterial court order on March 23 convicting Gandhi and handing out the maximum punishment provided for criminal defamation under the Indian Penal Code.

Rejecting Gandhi’s plea, the High Court has said that has been seeking a stay on his conviction on “absolutely non-existent grounds” and a stay on conviction is not a rule but an exception.

In March, the magisterial court had convicted Gandhi for his remarks ahead of the 2019 national polls about the ‘Modi’ surname.

After magisterial court convicted Gandhi, he approached the Sessions court, which rejected his plea for a stay on his conviction on April 20. Thereafter, he approached the High court.

Punjab: Arrested member of Davinder Bambiha gang escapes from Faridkot hospital where Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi is also admitted

On Saturday, 15th July 2023, a shocking incident occurred as a member of the notorious Davinder Bambiha gang managed to escape from police custody while undergoing treatment at Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital in Faridkot. The escaped individual, Surinder Pal Singh, also known as Billa, had been apprehended by the Faridkot police on July 11 following an intense encounter.

During the exchange of gunfire between law enforcement officers and three criminals, Billa sustained a gunshot wound to his leg. He was subsequently admitted to the medical college for treatment. However, in a surprising turn of events, Billa managed to evade the vigilant police security at approximately 4 am on Saturday.

The escape of Billa has sent shockwaves throughout the region, as the medical college and hospital had been placed under strict police surveillance following the transfer of Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, a prime accused in the Sidhu Moose Wala murder case, from Bathinda jail. Bishnoi had been shifted to the medical facility due to complications arising from gastroenteritis.

Jasmeet Singh, the SP (D) of Faridkot, stated that police teams were currently engaged in an extensive search operation to locate the escaped gang member. He further assured that necessary disciplinary measures would be taken against the responsible officers on duty at the hospital.

Faridkot senior superintendent of police (SSP) Harjeet Singh said, “Our teams are conducting raids to arrest him. Bishnoi and Surinderpal were kept in different buildings. He did not go towards the building where Bishnoi was kept and used another passage to escape.”

Billa, along with his two associates, stands accused of brandishing firearms and firing shots into the air to intimidate a local trader for extortion purposes in Jaito town. The incident took place earlier this month and prompted swift action from the police.

Police successfully apprehended three gangsters on July 11, following an exchange of gunfire. The police identified the individuals as Shaminder Singh, Satnam Singh, and Surinder Pal Singh, all associated with the Bambiha group. Moreover, authorities seized a weapon and live cartridges from their possession. One of the culprits Surinder Pal Singh sustained injuries during the encounter.

According to the police, they are accomplices of gangster Deepak Maan and were working on his directions. “Maan makes extortion threats to people in the Jaitu area and the accused used to carry forward his instructions,” the police added.

Investigations revealed that the firing incident in the old grain market of Jaito on July 6 was a direct result of extortion demands made to a local trader. Ignoring the repeated calls for extortion, the targeted trader became the focus of the gangsters’ attention, who resorted to firing shots into the air in an attempt to intimidate him.

Despite the heightened security measures implemented at the medical college and hospital, the escape of Billa serves as a reminder of the challenges faced by law enforcement agencies in combating organized crime. The search for the escaped gang member continues as authorities remain committed to ensuring public safety and bringing the culprits to justice.
