0

Ayodhya is all set to witness the once-in-a-lifetime event of Ram Mandir Bhoomi Pujan. After 500 years of struggle, bloodshed, and legal fights, Hindus around the world will finally witness the rise of Ram Mandir once again in Ayodhya. As per the reports, it will take 3.5 years to complete the construction. Yesterday, they also shared some spectacular photos of the proposed structure of the Mandir.

Ayodhya is currently in festive mode, and the place looks mesmerizing with the preparations of Bhoomi Pujan. While the whole country is celebrating the event of Bhoomi Pujan just as if it is Diwali, Ayodhya is glowing with lights, diyas and artwork showcasing the life of Bhagwan Ram. Here are some amazing photographs and videos shared on social media.

Mandir Trust releases the images of Ram Lalla inside the temporary shrine

On March 25, the first day of Chaitra Navratri, Yogi Adityanath, the CM of UP and the Mahant of Gorakhpeeth had shifted the idol of Ram Lalla from the tent to a bulletproof temporary structure made of fibreglass and marble near the site of the Ram Janmabhoomi. Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, the trust for the temple, has today released the pictures of Ram Lalla Virajmaan, the supreme deity of Ayodhya, with his siblings at the temporary shrine.

Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra, the trust that is managing construction, finalized the date for Bhoomi Pujan a few days back and shared several details about the Mandir. The trust has invited 175 leaders, saints and prominent members of society for the event including PM Narendra Modi and CM Yogi Adityanath.

Signs of time to come? Union Law Minister RS Prasad shares image of Constitution of India first drafted by Dr BR Ambedkar with Lord Ram on it

RS Prasad, Union Minister of Law and Justice, on Wednesday took to Twitter to share an image of the Constitution of India originally drafted by Dr BR Ambedkar with sketch of Lord Ram on it.

The Constitution of India has a sketch of Lord Ram, Mata Sita and Lakshman returning to Ayodhya after killing Ravan in Lanka. The image appears at the beginning of the chapter related to the Fundamental Rights.

“Felt like sharing this with you,” he said while tweeting.

The tweet comes hours before the Bhoomi Pujan of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya, the birth place of Lord Ram, where He finally returned after defeating Ravan. The Mandir is also a symbol of victory of Hindus of a 500-year-old struggle to reclaim the temple which was destroyed and demolished by Mughals.

Further, the tweet comes just days after a petition was filed in the Supreme Court to reinstate the preamble to the constitution as originally drafted by Dr BR Ambedkar. In 1976 when the then Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi had imposed Emergency, she got the Preamble amended to add ‘socialist’ and ‘secular’ added.

Indira Gandhi changed Constitution drafted by Dr Ambedkar

There have been 104 Amendments to the Indian constitution starting with the first one brought in by Jawaharlal Nehru, first Prime Minister of independent India. Between PM Narendra Modi and ex-PM Atal Bihar Vajpayee, the BJP ruled government has made 20 amendments in total. However, the most far-reaching amendment in the history of independent India was made by none other than Indira Gandhi. The 42nd amendment came in when the opposition was in prison under the draconian rules of Emergency.

‘Situations do not last forever’: All India Muslim Personal Law Board issues a menacing threat on the eve of Ram Mandir Bhoomi Pujan

A day ahead of the historic Bhoomi Pujan ceremony of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) issued a threat against the construction of Ram Mandir by asserting to undo the alleged ‘injustice’ that was meted out to them by the country’s judiciary in the Ram Mandir case.

The controversial Islamic body also said that the demolished Islamic structure ‘Babri Masjid’ will remain a mosque for them till eternity.

Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, the controversial Islamic body not only issued menacing threat over the construction of the temple but hinted at converting back the temple into a mosque in the future. Comparing Babri Masjid to Turkey’s newly converted mosque ‘Hagia Sophia’, the Muslim Personal Board said, “Babri Masjid was and will always be a Masjid”.

Hagia Sophia is a 1500-year-old Orthodox Christian Cathedral in Istanbul, Turkey that was forcefully converted into a mosque recently. Hagia Sophia, which was originally built as a cathedral in 537 AD by Byzantine emperor Justinian I, was believed to be the largest church in the world. However, it was converted into a mosque during the Ottoman rule in 1453.

AIMPLB attacks Supreme Court

Attacking the Supreme Court for its judgement in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid case, the AIMPLB claimed that the Supreme Court’s verdict allowing the construction of a Ram Temple was “unjust and unfair”.

The statement issued by board general secretary Maulana Mohammad Wali Rahmani on Tuesday, reportedly read, “It has always been our position that the Babri masjid was never built by demolishing any mandir or any Hindu place of worship. The Supreme Court has also affirmed our position in its November 2019 judgment.”

The letter further added, “SC has also said that remnants found after the excavation carried out below the masjid site belonged to some 12th-century structure – that is 400 years before Babri Masjid was constructed.”

The AIMPLB further said that the Supreme Court has given its verdict but has embarrassed justice. The AIMPLB called Ram Mandir movement as one based on oppression, coercion, intimidation, embezzlement, usurpation and calumny. It added that the movement was purely political and had nothing to do with religion and religious teachings.

The AIMPLB was among the litigants in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid case in the Supreme Court, also noted that according to the Islamic Shariah, “at whichever place a masjid is established, it remains a masjid there forever till eternity. Hence the Babri masjid was a masjid before, is a masjid today and shall Inshallah remain a masjid”.

In the letter, the AIMPLB also appealed to the Indian Muslims not to be disappointed with the Ram Mandir verdict and construction of the temple.

The Supreme Court, had in November last year, in a historic decision, accepted the Hindu claim and handed over the Ram Janmabhoomi site to Hindus to build Ram Mandir and finally end the century-long dispute. The five-judge bench had unanimously come to the decision after weighing the arguments presented by all sides for 40 days.

The Muslims were given a 5-acre site at an alternate location by the government of Uttar Pradesh, as per the SC order.

Ram Mandir Bhoomi Pujan event to be held on August 5, 150 to attend

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Ayodhya for Bhumi Pujan of Shri Ram Mandir on August 5. The ceremony will be graced by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath among several other invitees.

BJP stalwart and former deputy prime minister LK Advani, who was instrumental in shaping the Ram Mandir movement, is likely to accompany Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the historic event. The Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra has invited 150 guests – including Shiv Sena Supremo Uddhav Thackeray, BJP veterans Murli Manohar Joshi, Home Minister Amit Shah and several CMs, asserting that all rules of social distancing will be followed.

The trust has estimated that construction of the temple will be completed in the next three years i.e by 2023.

Veer Savarkar’s prophecy ‘The day Hindus unite, Congress leaders will wear janeu over the coat’ comes true as they celebrate construction of Ram Mandir

Hours before the momentous day when Bhoomi pujan ceremony will be performed in Ayodhya, marking the construction of the much-awaited Ram Mandir, several Congress leaders, including Uttar Pradesh General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi, former MP CM Kamal Nath and erstwhile Union Minister Manish Tewari, extended their support for the construction of the temple.

With the leaders of the Congress party, which had once questioned the existence of Lord Ram, suddenly flip-flopping and making a beeline to co-opt the auspicious ceremony of Bhoomi pujan, it is worth recalling the prophetic statements made by Freedom fighter and Hindutva ideologue Veer Savarkar.

Veer Savarkar had predicted Congress leaders will openly demonstrate their Hindu roots one day

Speaking against Congress’ disinformation campaign about a possible alliance between Hindu Mahasabha and Muslim League for the elections in the Sindh province of undivided India on July 10, 1943, Savarkar had said that one day Congress leaders would be forced to propagate Hindu principles by wearing a janeu, not just on their body but also on their coats.

Savarkar meant that the Congress party which tried to peddle lies about a possible alliance between ideologically disparate parties of Hindu Mahasabha and Muslim League, in an attempt to slice away Hindu votes away from the Hindu Mahasabha, will in future have to overtly manifest their Hindu credentials to gain the support of Hindu voters.

Speaking to Vishwas News, Ranjit Savarkar, president of Savarkar memorial in Maharashtra and grandson of Veer Savarkar, confirmed the statement. His statement is also mentioned in volume-8 (historical request) of 10-volume ‘Samagra Savarkar’ on page number 485-89.

Savarkar said, “But I would have been delighted if this comment had been made willingly. Because these extremely disgusting, wicked accusations are to be levelled against the Hindus, I have compelled Hindus in Congress to realise that such accusations harm the interests of Hindus and help the ‘Pakistan-friendly’, ‘League’ and the ‘Muslims’. As I used to say, again and again, Hindus in Congress will have to wear their principles on their sleeves, they will have to wear janeu not only on their body but on their coats as well.”

“But I feel pity for those who are presently incarcerated in the jails and will have to sign the pact of India’s partition with the Muslim League. How would they bring themselves to respect these leaders who sacrificed Hindu interest at the altar of Congress’ half-baked nationality?” Savarkar questioned. (The exact same thing happened four years later in June 1947)

Congress leaders rushing to proclaim their Hindu credentials

A few days ago, Kamal Nath welcomed the construction of the Ram temple. He released a video message on Friday (July 31, 2020) congratulating the people for the construction of Ram Temple. Kamal Nath also claimed in the video that the temple had long been expected and aspired by the people of India and it is being built with the consent of all Indians. In this video, a picture of Lord Hanuman was also seen behind Kamal Nath.

Recently, Kamal Nath had also announced the recital of Hanuman Chalisa in Bhopal. The official Twitter handle of Madhya Pradesh Congress went a step ahead and changed its profile with that of Lord Hanuman and Kamal Nath, in an attempt to highlight their Hindu credentials. Kamal Nath took part in the recital of Hanuman Chalisa organised a day before the Bhoomi pujan ceremony.

Besides Kamal Nath, Priyanka Gandhi also came out in support of the construction of Ram Temple and said that the Bhoomi pujan ceremony will celebrate national unity, brotherhood and cultural congregation.

“Simplicity, courage, restraint, sacrifice, commitment, are the essence of the name Deenbandhu Rama. Ram is with everyone, Ram is with everyone. With the message and grace of Lord Rama and Mother Sita, the Bhoomipujan ceremony of the temple of Ramlala became an occasion for national unity, fraternity and cultural congregation,” Gandhi tweeted.

Another senior Congress leaders also appeared singing a different tune. In a video uploaded on Twitter, Tewari was seen crooning a famous devotional hymn dedicated to Lord Ram.

With senior Congress leaders overtly manifesting their Hindu identity and gushingly associating themselves with a cause that they relentlessly opposed some time back, Veer Savarkar’s prophecy about Congress leaders wearing a janeu and propagating Hindu principles has finally come true.

Hussain Haidry rues inaction by ‘progressive non-Muslims’ for not protesting against the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya

A day before the historic Bhoomi pujan of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Bollywood writer-lyricist Hussain Haidry took to his Facebook page to express his strong disapproval over the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

In a Facebook post, Haidry lamented over the fact that “progressive people (non-Muslims)” did not gather in hundreds or thousands and form a movement against the said Mandir in Ayodhya. Haidry evidently also had a problem with the date chosen for the ground laying ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya as he alluded that August 5 was chosen well in advance to “humiliate Kashmir”. On August 5 2019, the Indian government had abrogated Article 370 and paved the way for the greater integration of Jammu and Kashmir with the Union of India.

Hussain Haidry calls for protest against the Bhoomi pujan ceremony of Ram Mandir

“What stopped them from coining a simple naara saying, “Hum Mandir Nahin Banaaenge” and go physically protest in Ayodhya. What stopped those who wanted neither the temple nor the mosque, but a hospital or a school,” Haidry bewailed.

Haidry also wondered why those people did not start an online campaign and register their protest against the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

Essentially, Haidry wanted “progressive people” to unleash chaos and unrest in Ayodhya and stop the Bhoomi pujan ceremony of Ram Mandir. With the top court of the country giving its sanction for the construction of a Ram Mandir at the said site, Haidry, perhaps, was labouring under the belief that a “physical protest” by demonstrators would have forced the government to defer the ground laying ceremony of the Ram Mandir.

Haidry, a quintessential Islamist, appears thoroughly rattled that Hindus would finally reclaim what was originally theirs and rebuild the temple that was demolished by a commander of the marauding Mughal tribe. The fact that one of the most venerated Gods of the Hindu pantheon, Lord Ram, will once again return to his rightful abode drove him up the wall, and he couldn’t stop himself from expressing his frustration over his inability to affect any difference.

Hussain Haidry had earlier called for violence against Hindus

Just like Hussain Haidry tried to foment unrest with his Facebook post, asking people to gather and “physically protest” against the Bhoomi pujan ceremony of Ram Mandir, the lyricist had taken to social media to incite violence by urging people to ‘show courage’ and ‘beat up’ the ‘upper caste’ Hindus, who according to him, were ruining the country. He had asked his people to go to each and every household in their respective colonies and hit all those voting for the BJP with chappals (slippers).

Haidry harbours such pathological hatred for Hindus that he had even proceeded to label all the people belonging to the indigenous faith of the country as ‘terrorists’. He had posted a tweet emphasising on “Hindu Terrorists”. This brazen display of Hinduphobia did not sit well with the netizens and they strongly protested against Haidry’s anti-Hindu tweet. Spooked by the overwhelming backlash, Haidry deactivated his Twitter account altogether.

Earlier, Haidry had also expressed his jihadist urge of killing a person on Twitter. Hussain Haidry, who the ‘liberal-secular’ ecosystem considers to be an emerging poet, in 2012 took to Twitter to unapologetically express his wish to kill people. In another tweet, dated October 2012, Haidry had even composed a poem to fantasize about his dreams of cybercrime and hijacking aeroplanes.

Aditya Thackeray finally breaks his silence on the death of Sushant Singh Rajput and allegations of ‘cover-up’: Here is what he said

The mystery into the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput is getting deeper with every passing day. After deep discussions on nepotism and bullying in Bollywood, the case had taken a political discourse. Days after it was reported that a big politician’s son had reportedly attended the party at Sushant Singh Rajput’s residence and allegedly had a spat with him, a night before his purported suicide, son of Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Aditya Thackeray, has finally broken his silence on the Sushant Singh Rajput case.

Rubbishing all ‘unconfirmed’ reports and theories linking him to the death of the late Bollywood actor, Maharashtra Environment Minister has called it “dirty politics”. Taking to Twitter, Thackeray said that he isn’t linked to the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.

He said if anyone has evidence of any charges, then it should be handed over to Maharashtra Police as they are investigating the matter.

Attempt of politicising the dead is a blot on humanity: Aditya Thackeray on Sushant Singh Rajput case

In a strongly-worded statement in Marathi, Aditya Thackeray wrote: “Some people are unnecessarily engaging in mudslinging at me and Thackeray family. This is a result of their frustration due to political failure or the success of this government in Maharashtra. This attempt of politicising the dead is a blot on humanity. I have nothing to with matter whatsoever.”

He slammed the “personal remarks” being made against him and the Thackeray family. He also went on to claim that he doesn’t have “any relation” to this matter.

Terming the untimely death of the actor “unfortunate and shocking,” Aditya also came down heavily on those “using” the scenario to gain political brownie points. “Using someone’s death for political gains is inhumane,” Aditya Thackeray said without mincing his words.

Stating that Bollywood is an integral part of Mumbai as a lot of people are dependent on it, Aditya said that he too shares a good bond with many Bollywood actors, which he said, “is not a crime.”

Taking a jibe at the opposition parties, Aditya said that this mudslinging is a result of “political despair” as some couldn’t digest the success of the ruling State Government’s efforts in bringing the COVID-19 pandemic under control.

He concluded his strongly-worded statement by saying that he would never get involved in something that would “drag down the dignity of the state, his political party and his family”.

“As the grandson of Hinduruday Samrat Balasaheb Thackeray, I would like to clarify that I won’t get involved in any such matter which will drag down the dignity of Maharashtra, Shiv Sena and the Thackeray family,” wrote Maharashtra’s Environment Minister.

Reports claim a bigshot politician’s son was present at Sushant Singh Rajput’s flat a night before his suicide

The alleged suicide of actor Sushant Singh Rajput took a completely new turn after his father, KK Singh, filed an FIR against actor Rhea Chakraborty and five others, including three of her family members, for abetment of suicide. Recently, a report by Times Now claimed that an eminent personality was possibly present at the party, a night before Sushant Singh’s demise, alleging that the Mumbai Police report can be compromised.

According to reports, a politician’s son was present at the late actor’s apartment at the party. As per Times Now report, there was a heated argument between the person and Sushant Singh Rajput post which the late actor left the place. Curiously, the CCTV has been dysfunctional since then. Sources claim the police officials are trying to conceal the identity of this person. People close to Sushant Singh Rajput have revealed that there was a party at his apartment and the aforesaid personality was also present there along with others.

Indian Union Muslim League calls emergency meeting over Congress support for Ram Mandir

The Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) is the second-biggest constituent of Congress-led UDF in Kerala. Reportedly, IUML has called an emergency meeting of its top officials on Wednesday after learning about the statements by several Congress leaders in favour of Ram Mandir.

Top Congress leaders, including party General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi, have released statements in favour of the ceremony. The former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh held Hanuman Chalisa path at his home. Priyanka Gandhi said in her statement that the program is happening with the blessings of Bhagwan Ram. “His teachings should become a symbol of national unity, brotherhood and cultural amalgamation,” she added.

The actions of Congress leaders have caused distress among IUML leaders, and they have communicated dissatisfaction to the state Congress leaders. Senior lawmaker P.K. Kunhalikutty and party supremo Panakkad Hyderali Shihab Thangal are among the leaders who are going to attend the emergency meeting. The outcome of the meeting will be clear by the time Bhoomi Pujan concludes at Ayodhya tomorrow.

Congress and IUML – An unholy alliance in Kerala

Congress entered into an alliance with the Muslim League in Kerala. A huge number of Muslim League (IUML) flags were witnessed at Wayanad at the Congress President’s roadshow. Videos were circulating on social media where scores IUML flags. The Congress party is in alliance with Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) which in turn is tied up with Jammat-e-Islami and Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), both accused by National Investigation Agency (NIA) of spreading radicalism in Kerala.

During Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Wayanad to file his nomination, IUML members took rallies out abusing Narendra Modi as well. IUML members were heard shouting “S*ala K*tta Narendra Modi”.

The background of IUML

Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), which claims to be born after Indian Independence in 1948, is actually an off-shoot of Pakistan founder and Islamist Mohammad Ali Jinnah’s All India Muslim League (AIML). The All India Muslim League was succeeded by the Muslim League in Pakistan and the Indian Union Muslim League in India. In its website, the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) claims that its motto is secularism and communal harmony but has often openly indulged in carrying out those objectives which are contrary to its own motto.

The Muslim League had strongly advocated for the establishment of a separate Muslim-majority nation-state, Pakistan successfully led to the partition of British India in 1947 by the British Empire. The birth of Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) in December 1947 was a part of that intention to keep these spirit of the All India Muslim League.

The Indian Union Muslim League has been notoriously known for flaring up communal incidents in the state of Kerala. The party was found involved in the planning as well as the execution of the brutal Marad massacre in Kerala in 2003 as per the report of Justice Thomas P Joseph Commission which was set up to investigate the incident. The report had declared the massacre as “a clear communal conspiracy, with Muslim fundamentalist and terrorist organisations involved”.

Further, in 2017, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had registered a fresh First Information Report (FIR) in connection with the probe and had named Indian Union Muslim League leaders P.P. Moideen Koya and Moyeen Haji as an accused of funding, conspiring and executing the riots.

Ram Mandir Bhoomi Pujan

In November 2019, the Supreme Court of India passed the judgement in favour of Ram Lalla Virajman. The court ordered the Indian government to form a trust to manage the construction of the Mandir. The trust finalized the date for Bhoomi Pujan as 5th August. PM Narendra Modi, along with 174 leaders and saints will attend the ceremony in Ayodhya.

On the anniversary of 370 abrogation, Pakistan releases new political map claiming Jammu and Kashmir and Gujarat’s Junagadh as its own

0

On the eve of the first anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370, a move that stripped the special status of the state of Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan has released a new political map, making sovereign claims on the entire Jammu and Kashmir and the erstwhile princely state of Junagadh in Gujarat.

Terming it a historic day, Pakistan PM Imran Khan unveiled the new political map, adding that the new political map of Pakistan represents the ambition of Pakistani nationals.

Along with a fresh map, Pakistan has also issued directives to be followed on August 5. The day August 5 has been termed as Youm-e-Istehsal and Ghasbana Qabza, the press release read.

The statement also called for the use of IIOJK and not IOJK or IOK. It said that the term used to represent Jammu and Kashmir henceforth should be “Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir” as opposed to “Indian Occupied Kashmir”. It also added that ‘illegal action’ should be used in place of illegal annexation. The instructions issued said that ‘demographic apartheid’ can be used about Jammu and Kashmir instead of demographic re-engineering.

Furthermore, all TV and Radio channels have been asked to play Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir national anthems immediately after one minute of silence on August 5. The TV channels have been instructed to have their news presenters wear black bands for solidarity and their channel logos be turned black to oppose the first anniversary of the invalidation of Article 370. The theme, the communiqué said, would be one year of Indian Military Siege in Jammu and Kashmir.

Pakistan casts aside self-determination of Kashmiris

While India couldn’t care less about Pakistan’s cartographical changes and its juveniles attempts of tinkering with the nomenclature of Jammu and Kashmir, it is of profound significance that Pakistan has, for the first time, relinquished its longstanding notion of Jammu and Kashmir being a disputed territory and ipso facto spurned the self-determination of people in Kashmir.

Despite the negative media attention, RSS forges forward: Here’s why

As this COVID19 pandemic continues, many organizations have stepped up to help those in need. Individuals have also taken proper precautions and fearlessly gone out to distribute food, water and supplies. What is even better to see is that women, despite having families at home, are deciding to put the nation first. A lot of these individuals and firms have been highlighted in the media for their work. This is justified because their contribution to the country is the need of the hour. But there is one large organization that is helping in multiple ways across India but is not getting credit.

It’s not just about distributing supplies. What is more effective is surveying the area and figuring out what people need most during the pandemic. It was none other than married women who were a part of the RSS that stepped up and made sure surveys were conducted in multiple villages across India. Putting the country even before their own families, these women organized volunteers to ask people what supplies they needed, including whether they had clothes, if facilities like maternity wards were available for health emergencies (ie. childbirth) and whether promised COVID19 reimbursement from the government had reached Jan Dhan accounts. Once the survey was conducted, the gap was successfully filled according to the real needs of each respective area.

These women ground-workers first organized financial aid for supplies. Then, these women went into action mode and delivered food, medicine, clothes, etc.  required for that area. If the area lacked health infrastructure, arrangements were made so that rural women had access to medical care. A doctor was assigned to that vicinity or transportation was made available so that these citizens could safely go to a healthcare facility. These female ground-workers also helped rural citizens activate Jan Dhan accounts. This ensured that people became financially enabled and received their dues.

For helping with COVID19 emergencies, in addition to food and supply distribution, these women volunteers are also doing something very unique. Ambulance services are being organized in suburban and rural areas. Women and men of the RSS are working together to facilitate teams to organize virtual medical consultations between city doctors and citizens in rural India. Call centers will be set up on a large scale with social distancing and safety guidelines maintained. The call centers act as help-line numbers for citizens with COVID19-related emergencies or questions. Students and young female professionals are encouraged to actively volunteer in these call centers. Infrastructure for a data-gathering team is also on the agenda. Data-gathering specifically focuses on hyper-local ground level statistics. This includes the number of COVID19 positive patients along with medical history. The aim of this data is to give a lay of the land and provide correct numbers to aid the government for further action.

On the education front, it is women associated with the RSS who have been thinking progressively and holistically. In remote areas of the country, hundreds of children have been completely cut off from academia because of the COVID19 pandemic. To date, nothing substantial has been done for them. Women who are working with the RSS are actively developing a model specifically catered to giving these children access to education. The model is being developed keeping technology in mind. Creating an app that is easy to access via smartphones is one option. Coordinating individuals to go to these locations distribute working laptops in person is another option. Setting up a personal computer center is a third option. Organizing the transport of educators to these areas is also being looked into. This initiative will ensure that education stays a priority in these remote areas even after the pandemic is gone.

Despite all this effort actively taking place by the men and women of the RSS, the organization continues to get bashed constantly by mainstream media. #RSSTerrorists has been a trend multiple times on social media without any factual or objective basis. Most external organizations will make their dismay clear if consistently targeted like this. But the males and females of the RSS continue social work despite criticism and lack of positive media attention.

Why is this the case? What makes them forge forward?

It is because being a part of the RSS is believing in the ‘putting the nation first’ideology. This is why married women are going out and surveying areas in need despite having families at home. This is why young female working professionals will undoubtedly devote any spare hours in their day to volunteer at call centers or go out and gather local data. And it is precisely the reason why these men and women expect zero credit in return or any attention from the media for their invaluable work.

As a young woman and as a working professional in New India, I am not personally associated with the RSS. In fact, I am a complete outsider from America. I was not even a part of the RSS when I lived overseas either. But as an active journalist in India today, I am appalled at the lack of media attention the RSS is getting, especially the women. These individuals are putting the nation before themselves, their relationships and their children. For this reason, I felt that it is a moral duty to write about the critical work they are doing to uplift those in need during a continuing health pandemic. I have the most profound respect for this organization because their work will continue consistently regardless of how negatively media continues to portray them. I am inspired by these women and men because they let their work, rather than their words, prove their genuine commitment to the country.

‘Naam mita do Babur ka’: BJP leader Vijay Goel recommends renaming ‘Babur road’ in Delhi

On Tuesday, BJP leader and former Rajya Sabha member Vijay Goel and his supporters unilaterally renamed the Babur road in Delhi to ‘5 August Road.’ The development comes a day before the Bhoomi Pujan event which is scheduled to take place tomorrow at Ayodhya.

The politician superimposed a poster that read ‘5 August road’ on the signboard that earlier carried the name of the Mughal tyrant Babur. As seen in visuals, the name of the erstwhile ruler was struck out with black paint. Besides, he demanded the new signboard be retained or the road to be renamed after an ’eminent personality.’ Reportedly, Vijay Goel had written to the Union Minister of Home Affairs Amit Shah in this regard. As per reports, the road is located 50 yards from the residence of the BJP politician in Delhi.

Vijay Goel urges NDMC rename Babur road

In a tweet, Vijay Goel said, “The name of the road adjoining the Bengali market must be changed to ‘5 August road’ from the existing ‘Babur road.’ Babur was a foreign invader who destroyed the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Tomorrow, on August 5, PM Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for the Ram Mandir. As such, NDMC should consider changing the name of Babur road.”

Bhoomi Pujan to be attended by RSS Chief, PM Modi

The Bhoomi Pujan will be attended by prominent leaders such as Mahesh Bhagchandka, PM Narendra Modi, Pawan Singhal, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, Nritya Gopal Das Ji Maharaj, UP CM Yogi Adityanath and Governor Anandiben Patel. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will first do Darshan Pujan at Shri Hanumangarhi temple, followed by Puja of Lord Ram at Ram Janmabhoomi. Following this, the Bhoomi Pujan and stage event will be conducted. The Bhoomi Pujan that is scheduled to take place in Ayodhya will witness a total footfall of 175 eminent guests. According to the trust, around 135 priests and Hindu spiritual leaders following several sects and traditions of the faith will participate in the said event.
