Islamists, ‘liberals’ attack cricketer Mohammad Kaif for urging haters to not spew venom over Ram Mandir in Ayodhya

Cricketer Mohammad Kaif was attacked by Islamists for urging people who were spewing venom over the Bhoomi Pujan which marks the beginning of construction of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya to spread the message of love and dignity instead.

Taking to Twitter, Kaif said that having grown up in Allahabad, now known as Prayagraj, in Uttar Pradesh, he has seen the ‘Ganga-Jamuna culture’ (a culture where communities live peacefully together). Kaif said that as a child he used to enjoy the Ram Lila which is celebrated ahead of Diwali. “Lord Ram saw goodness in everyone and our conduct should reflect his legacy.Don’t allow the agents of hate to come in the way of love and unity,” he tweeted.

However, even when Kaif did not explicitly celebrate the Ram Mandir construction, radicals attacked him for urging the same radicals to not spew hate.

He was accused by one ‘brumbyoz‘ of being a Muslim without self respect. He is quite popular amongst Congress supporters and other Islamists like Rana Ayyub.

Some insinuated that this is his tactic to get into active politics. He was also accused of indulging in ‘majority appeasement’.

Some even tried to instigate him into hating on Lord Ram instead.

His identity as a Muslim was also questioned.

The ‘liberals’ today have decided to put up a blank red profile picture to mark the Bhoomi Pujan of Ram Mandir. He was also called a ‘sarkari Muslim’ for appealing for love and unity. If appealing for peace and unity is mocked upon as ‘sarkari’ (government) things, one wonders what exactly would be part of their agenda.

Mohammad Kaif gets attacked by Islamists

Cricketer Mohammad Kaif time and again gets attacked by Islamists only for exercising his right to expression and no toeing their line of hate. On International Yoga Day, when Kaif participated in Yoga, he was asked to perform namaz (Islamic prayer) instead. He was also attacked for supporting PM Modi’s call for Janta Curfew and thanking healthcare workers amid the Chinese coronavirus pandemic.

Sushant Singh Rajput case: Center accepts Bihar Police request for CBI enquiry, SC refuses interim relief for Rhea Chakraborty

0

The union govt on Wednesday told the Supreme Court that it has accepted Bihar police’s request to hand over the Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case to CBI. This has come as a big blow to the Maharashtra govt, which has been vehemently opposing handing over the case to the central agency.

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta told the apex court hat the notification for the CBI investigation will be issued soon, preferably by the end of the day. The court gave all the parties three days to place their respective stand on record. Also, the court ordered the Mumbai Police to submit a report on the investigation so far. The hearing will continue next week.

Bihar police on 4th August 2020 had submitted a request to the Center to accept the request for CBI inquiry in actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s murder case. In the request, Home Department, Government of Bihar (Police Branch) said, “In exercise of the powers conferred under section-6 of the Delhi Police Establishment Act, 1946, the Governor of Bihar is pleased to accord his consent to exercise of powers and jurisdiction to whole of Bihar and other places related to the member of Delhi Special Police Establishment to investigate/supervise and inquire into the case.”

During the hearing, Rhea Chakraborty’s petition seeking direction for transfer of investigation from Patna to Mumbai, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta informed the court that the centre had accepted Bihar govt’s request recommending CBI inquiry into Sushant Singh Rajput death case. SG Mehta appeared on his own and said in court that the case is in the public domain.

SC overruled Maharashtra Government’s opposition to CBI probe

Maharashtra Government had opposed CBI inquiry in the court. They insisted that the authorization to probe the case is with the Mumbai Police. The court said that they want to know what the Mumbai Police has done so far in the case. The court noted, ‘a very unfortunate incident has taken place. A gifted and talented artist has passed away in circumstances which are unusual. Now, the circumstances in which this death took place needs to be inquired into’.

On the action taken against the Bihar Police officials in Mumbai, Maharashtra Government told the court that they are not against Bihar Police registering an FIR. Still, there was no cause of action in Bihar. Sr Adv R Basanth representing Maharashtra government said that the whole situation has turned political. KK Singh did not file any case in Mumbai but decided to record one in Bihar.

The apex court also criticised the Maharashtra govt for not cooperating with Bihar police team in Mumbai. Slamming the state govt for putting Bihar police officials under quarantine, the court remarked, “it doesn’t give a right message. He was there to do his job. You must do everything in a professional manner. Protect all evidence.” In the reply, Sr Adv R Basanth representing Maharashtra government said that only the Mumbai Police that has duty, power and function to register the case here.

SC refuses interim relief for Rhea Chakraborty

Shyam Divan, Rhea’s lawyer, had requested the court for her interim relief. He requested the court to direct the authorities not to take any coercive against his client. But the Court didn’t accept the request, and no interim relief was granted to her. Justice Hrishikesh Roy said, “Truth should unravel”.

The court also noted, “we want all parties to hold their hands for the time being. Lawyers are here and I am sure they have all heard you.”

Adv Vikas Singh, appearing for Sushant’s father KK Singh, opposed the bail plea and said that the evidence is being tampered with. As now CBI inquiry has been ordered, Rhea’s plea for interim relieve does not survive in the court.

Families of Kar Sevaks burnt alive in Godhra welcome the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya

With the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony officially marking the construction of much-awaited Ram Temple in Ayodhya, families who lost their kin in the Sabarmati Express incident Godhra in 2002 have welcomed the development, stating that their sacrifices have finally borne fruits.

About 59 people, mostly kar sevaks, were burnt alive in the S-6 coach of Sabarmati Express on the fateful day of February 28, 2002 in Godhra in Gujarat, touching off a wave of violent riots that gripped the state in its wake.

It has been more than 18 years since the horrifying tragedy but the families of the Godhra train blaze victims and those who survived the onslaught still remain devastated. As the families continue to brood over their losses, the Bhoomi pujan ceremony of the Ram Temple has brought an occasion of celebration for them. Jayantibhai, one of the survivors of the Godhra blaze, who also lost his mother in the conflagration, says he is happy that their sacrifices have not gone in vain.

“Nobody reserves any hatred for what had transpired in Godhra. We believe it is balidan (sacrifice) for Lord Ram. I am very happy with the temple construction and that joy would have been doubled if this pandemic was not there,” Jayantibhai said.

One Navinchandra Brahmbhatt, 65, who hails from Vadnagar in Mehsana district, and who lost his wife Neeruben in the fire when they were returning from Ayodhya after a darshan was elated at the construction of Ram Temple and vowed that he would visit the temple town with his two sons once the coronavirus pandemic gets over.

Sardarji Vaghela, an octogenarian, who lost his son Rakesh in the Godhra train burning incident, says, “I will be praying when they carry out bhumi pujan tomorrow. All our sacrifices will finally bear fruit.”

Islamists trend ‘#ReturnBabriLandToMuslims’ and ‘#BabriZindaHai’ on the day of Ram Mandir Bhoomi Pujan

A new history is being written in India. The much-awaited Ram Mandir Bhoomi Pujan has already started in the presence of PM Narendra Modi. Ayodhya has been adorned with diyas and flowers and it feels no less than Diwali. While Ram Bhakts, across the globe, are celebrating this feeling of fulfilment with zeal and enthusiasm, there is a particular section of the society who are having an extreme meltdown. The Islamists have taken to social media to spread hate on this auspicious day by trending hashtags like #ReturnBabriLandToMuslims, #5AugustBlackDay and #BabriZindaHai.

As expected, the radical Islamists have been spewing venom on Twitter and calling the Bhoomi Pujan of the Ram Janmabhoomi construction site death of secularism. One such rabid Hinduphobe, Ali Sohrab, who had a similar meltdown following Ram Janmabhoomi verdict, for which he was also sent to 48-hour police remand, went into a complete frenzy on Twitter. The fake news peddler posted a series of Tweets using hashtags #5AugustBlackDay, #ReturnBabriLandToMuslims and #BabriZindaHai.

Ali Sohrab seems to be so flustered that he went on to call the Ram Mandir Bhoomi Pujan an “act of terrorism”.

The so-called ‘journalist’ was quite miffed that the Congress and Aam Aadmi Party supremos, which until now were known for appeasing minorities, have made a flip-flop and were writing in support of the Ram Mandir.

Likewise, other rattled fundamentalists were also refusing to acknowledge that the Babri Masjid, which was an illegal structure on the Ram Janmabhoomi, has long been demolished and whether they like it or not, the Bhavya Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is now a reality.

Calling August 5 a “Black day for Indian democracy” these Islamists are forcing themselves to believe that Babri Masjid will be rebuilt someday.

Well, it feels bad to see these radical Islamists so unsettled and perturbed, but, whether they like it or not, the absoluteness of the Ram Mandir is undisputable. The Bhoomi Pujan at Ram Janmabhoomi is the successful culmination of a battle that lasted over five hundred centuries. It is the fulfilment of a dream that has been nurtured by Hindus generations after generation ever since the Temple that stood at the sacred site was demolished by Islamic invaders.

Bhoomi Pujan for Ram Mandir in Ayodhya brings closure for a sister who had lost her brothers Ram and Sharad Kothari for the cause 3 decades ago

0

Sister of the slain Kothari brothers, Ram and Sharad—who had set off for Ayodhya almost 30 years ago to participate in the Ram Janmabhoomi movement—with a promise that they would return just before her wedding, will finally have some sense of closure as the temple town primes itself for the much-awaited Bhoomi Pujan ceremony, an event that marks the construction of Ram Mandir for which her brothers laid down their lives.

While no duration of time is enough for a grieving sister to come to terms with her brothers’ demise, the fact that her brothers’ dream of a Ram Temple in Ayodhya turning into a reality may provide some amount of satisfaction to Purnima Kothari, the sister of Kothari brothers, who were killed in police firing on November 2, 1990, and their bodies were found in a narrow lane near Hanumangarhi in Ayodhya.

The Kothari family is one among those distinguished guests who have been invited for the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony in Ayodhya. Talking to IANS, Purnima said that it gives her an immense sense of relief that the moment has finally arrived for which her brothers paid with their lives. “I feel proud that they sacrificed their lives for something whose culmination is taking place. However, I wish they were here with me today,” Purnima said.

She also added that if given a chance to meet PM Modi, she would request him to construct a museum where the struggle of 500 years can be documented.

On October 22, 1990, Ram and Sharad, both in their early twenties, decided to participate in ‘kar seva’ to reclaim the abode of Lord Ram in Ayodhya. Purnima was about to get married on December 16.

The duo reached Varanasi by train and from there walked all the way to Ayodhya. “The atmosphere in Ayodhya was charged up and I am told they were the first ones to mount a saffron flag atop the Babri structure,” she added.

Ram and Sharad Kothari were killed in police firing ordered by former UP CM Mulayam Singh Yadav

The incident which occurred in Ayodhya 29 years back, left an ineradicable mark in the history of India. The incidents in the last days of October and the 1st four days of November 1990 had left the then UP CM Mulayam Singh completely off balance who left no stone unturned to unleash utmost atrocities on Kar Sevaks who assembled in Ayodhya.

On November 2, 1990, a large group of kar sevaks, including the Kothari brothers, started to gather in front of Hanumangarhi, a stone’s throw away from the disputed structure. They started moving ahead but were stopped by police.

All of them sat on the road in protest and started singing ‘bhajans’ (religious songs) when suddenly, the security personnel at the behest of then CM Mulayam Singh, started firing at the crowd and chased kar sevaks across the area. Many people died from head wounds. There was a stampede at the Saryu Bridge, which killed a number of people. This singular inhuman act ordered by former UP CM and erstwhile Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav earned him a sobriquet–”Mullah Mulayam”.

However, the auspicious day of August 5 is more than realising the dream of a Ram Temple for Purnima Kothari. It brings closure for the psychological upheaval that she had endured for the last three decades, from her Bengal residence, often weeping over her brothers’ pictures.

“I received a letter through post after their death, in which they promised to come back home in time to attend her marriage,” Purnima recalled. Purnima and her niece have also reportedly collected soil from the birthplace of her brothers, to lay at the temple site.

On the historic day of Ram Mandir Bhoomi Pujan, Islamists suffer a meltdown

Even as the entire country is on the festive mood on the occasion of the historic Bhoomi Pujan of the holy Ram Mandir at Ayodhya, the Islamists in the country have continued their usual act of spewing venom against the Hindus on an auspicious day.

Suffering a huge meltdown on social media platforms, Islamists not only rejected the idea of constructing a Ram Mandir at the historic site but also discredited the Supreme Court judgement on the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid case to claim that site at which Ram Mandir is being built will always be ‘Babri Masjid’ to them, ignoring the reality that they failed to prove it at the court.

In rejecting the Hindu’s claim to the site, the Islamists only assert the Islamist ideology of demolishing religious sites of other faiths and establishing an Islamist regime, where no other faith has any place. However, most Islamists never say it publicly. They share their bigotry under the garb of democratic rights and freedom of expression that is granted to them only in non-Islamic nations.

Asaduddin Owaisi, an elected Member of Parliament, who often preaches about respect for Indian democracy, secularism and constitutional values, yet again exposed his Islamist tendencies on Twitter on Wednesday to claim that disputed structure existed in the past and it will exist in the future as well.

In an indirect threat to the Hindus of the country, Asaduddin Owaisi hinted at reconstruction of Babri Masjid in the future.

Islamist troll masquerading as an ‘intellectual’ – Rana Ayyub also went on to lament that it was not the India she knew.

Arfa Khanum Sherwani of the far-left website ‘The Wire’, also cried on Twitter to ask whether this was the country her ancestors fought for and she does not recognise the country anymore. Many Twitter users pointed it out to her that her ancestors may have fought for Pakistan and she should consider shifting there.

Audrey Truschke, who claims to be a historian and often fantasies about Islamist bigot Aurangzeb as a benevolent, loving person, also suffered a huge meltdown on Wednesday. Truschke said that the Ayodhya Ram Mandir will be a monument that will be a foundation for Hindurashtra and it will represent hate, bigotry and extrajudicial violence.

Former Rajya Sabha MP Shahid Siddiqui attacked his ‘secular-liberal friends’, who according to him tried to ride the Hindutva bandwagon on construction of Ram Mandir. He claimed that his ‘secular-liberal’ friends will suffer at the hands of monster that they created by siding with them. He said secular India was dead.

All India Muslim Personal Law Board threatens Hindus

Earlier, we had reported regarding how the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) had issued a threat against the construction of Ram Mandir by asserting to undo the alleged ‘injustice’ that was meted out to them by the country’s judiciary in the Ram Mandir case.

The controversial Islamic body also said that the demolished Islamic structure ‘Babri Masjid’ will remain a mosque for them till eternity.

Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, the controversial Islamic body not only issued menacing threat over the construction of the temple but hinted at converting back the temple into a Mosque in the future. Comparing the demolished structure to Turkey’s newly converted Mosque ‘Hagia Sophia’, the Muslim Personal Board said, “Babri Masjid was and will always be a Masjid”.

The AIMPLB further said that the Supreme Court has given its verdict but has embarrassed justice. The AIMPLB called Ram Mandir movement as one based on oppression, coercion, intimidation, embezzlement, usurpation and calumny. It added that the movement was purely political and had nothing to do with religion and religious teachings.

Was Narsimha Rao complicit in the demolition of Babri Masjid by Karsevaks? His personal doctor doesn’t think so

When the history of the Ram Janmabhoomi Movement is written, the role of one man will always remain an enigma. A soft-spoken man, P.B. Narasimha Rao was known to have the resolve necessary to enforce his writ when circumstances demanded it. However, on the 6th of December, 1992, the Prime Minister of India famous for ushering in an era of economic reforms watched silently as the Babri Masjid at Ram Janmabhoomi was brought crashing down by Karsevaks with hammer and tongs.

His detractors within the Congress party claim PV Narasimha Rao was hand in gloves with the key conspirators accused in the Babri Masjid Demolition case. It is alleged that he was fully aware of what was to happen and yet, he chose not to act and permitted things to unfold as per Rama’s writ. There appears to be a silent admission of this from the Bhaktas of Rama as well since he enjoys great respect among the top leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

It is true, of course, that during the latter stages of his life and even after his death, PV Narasimha Rao enjoyed greater support from the politicians in the opposition camp than within his own party. It is under these circumstances that we must evaluate his actions on the fateful day of the destruction of the Babri Masjid.

It is a known fact that during the months leading to Demolition Day, he had considered dismissing the BJP government in the state. In his book ‘Ayodhya: 6th December 1992’, Narasimha Rao says that it is the prerogative of the Governor to inform the central government in case of law and order situation getting out of hand in the state and seek centre’s intervention.

However, Narasimha Rao said that as recently as five days before the eventual demolition, then Governor of Uttar Pradesh Satyanarayan Reddy communicated to the Centre the general law and order situation, especially on the communal aspect of things, were indeed satisfactory. The governor report, apparently, went so far as to state that although Karsevaks were gathering at Ayodhya in large numbers, they were peaceful.

The report stated, “There are reports that a large number of Kar Sevaks are reaching Ayodhya, but they are peaceful. In my opinion, at present, the time is not ripe for taking any drastic step like the dismissal of the UP government or the dissolution of the state assembly or the imposition of President’s rule in the state.”

The governor had apparently warned that should President’s rule be imposed in Uttar Pradesh, then the disputed structure might be damaged and communal riots may follow nationwide. “The Supreme Court’s refusal even to make the Central government a receiver for the limited and specific purpose of giving adequate protection to the disputed structure at Ayodhya is also a meaningful pointer,” Narasimha Rao stated, attempting to shift some of the blame to the Judiciary as well.

Narasimha Rao also pointed fingers at Rajiv Gandhi. “Indira Gandhi had various plans to develop Ayodhya. The political potential of this emotive issue was not lost on Mrs Gandhi. After her death, her son took over as the Prime Minister. From then on, a series of disastrous steps followed,” he said. Thus, as per Rao, he was bound by constitutional norms and historical precedent. He is said to have told his personal secretary, ‘How could a democratically elected Government be dismissed as a precautionary measure without any valid reason? Would it be constitutional? Won’t we attract the odium of having resorted to a blatantly unconstitutional act?’

K. Srinath Reddy, who was his personal physician then, believes that Narasimha was genuinely distressed the day when Babri Masjid was demolished. He recalled how he had rushed to meet Narasimha Rao after he watched the disputed structure being brought down, worried about the Prime Minister who was known to suffer from ailments related to the heart.

Reddy recalled much later, ‘As I expected, his heart was racing away… pulse was very fast… BP had risen. His face was glowering red, he was agitated.’ He stated further, ‘I am fairly convinced as a doctor that his personal reaction to the demolition was one of honest agitation. It is not that of a person who would have planned it or been complicit in it.’

If his physician’s description of his prevailing health situation is accurate, then it does appear that Narasimha Rao had no knowledge of what was to happen. It is known that he was personally trying to mediate a solution between the two sides and was trying to convince leaders of the Hindu organisation to provide assurances that the Masjid would not be damaged.

It is said that Narasimha Rao spent much of the November of 1992 holding secret talks with leaders of the BJP. It could never be said with certainty what was discussed in these talks. It is for these negotiations that many of his detractors believe that he was complicit in what transpired on the 6th of December, 1992.

As it is with a lot of other episodes during the Ram Janmabhoomi Movement, Rao’s role in the demolition too will likely remain an enigma for a long time to come and perhaps, for eternity.

Ram Mandir Bhoomi Pujan: Asaduddin Owaisi hallucinates, claims demolished disputed structure is ‘alive’

Ram Bhakts around the world is celebrating Ram Mandir Bhoomi Pujan. Ayodhya is at its full glory, and it feels no less than Diwali with all the lights, decorations and diyas. However, there is a section of society that is having a meltdown over the celebrations. One such person is AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi.

Owaisi has long made claims that he doesn’t believe in the Supreme Court verdict. He had tried a lot to stir Muslim sentiments and had given inciting statements against the verdict, claiming that the site will ‘always’ remain a Mosque site.

He has posted a tweet with the hashtag #BabriZindaHai conveniently missing out the fact that the disputed structure was built over ruins of an temple.

Owaisi is also angry at Congress

In an interview with Aaj Tak, he lashed out at Priyanka Vadra for posting in favour of Ram Mandir. He said that Congress should openly accept that it believes in Hindutva ideology. “Chilman ke peeche se chup kar ishq karne ki kya zaroorat hai (what is the need of hiding love affair),” he added.

He also posted a tweet quoting Priyanka Vadra’s statement on Ram Mandir. He wrote, “Don’t be shy, please be proud of your party’s contributions to the movement that demolished our Babri Masjid.”

When former Madhya Pradesh CM Kamal Nath posted a message supporting Ram Mandir Owaisi quoted him and said, “You shouldn’t stop here. My suggestion is that every Congress office in India should donate sand for the construction of Mandir in Ayodhya.” It is a big shock for ‘secular-liberal’ supporters of Congress to see them favouring Ram Mandir. It is the same party that denied to accept the existence of Bhagwan Ram in 2007.

A few days back, he tried to persuade PM Modi not to go for Bhoomi Pujan as it is against the “secular image” of the country. He said in an interview with NDTV, “Prime Minister can’t participate in the Bhumi Pujan in his official capacity. Let him go in his individual capacity & ensure that there is no live telecast of his participation.”

Interestingly, Owaisi, who hails constitution and democratic values whenever it suits him, also harbours leaders in his party who claim to ‘eliminate all Hindus in 15 minutes’.

Watch: Footage from November 1990 when Mulayam Singh Yadav ordered firing upon Karsevaks with casualties believed to be in hundreds

In November 1990, two years before the eventual demolition of the Babri Masjid, Mulayam Singh Yadav as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh ordered firing upon the Karsevaks who had gathered at Ayodhya to demand the construction of a Bhavya Ram Mandir at Janmabhoomi. The brutal order of the Samajwadi Party patriarch, which led to the death of countless Karsevaks, earned him the sobriquet ‘Mullah Mulayam’.

While official figures suggested that 16 Karsevaks were killed by UP Police under Mulayam Singh Yadav, the actual number is believed to have been much higher. In a sting by Republic TV, it was claimed that the Hindus were not even cremated as per their religious but were buried instead. Footage of the manner in which the Police attacked the Karsevaks reveals the manner in which the devotees of Rama were hunted down. (Contains images that some may find disturbing. Viewer discretion recommended.)

The Police in the video above can be seen firing gunshots at the Karsevaks after taking aim with the clear intention of causing grave injuries. The video captures the manner in which the Karsevaks were chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ while they were being hunted down by the Police at the behest of Mulayam Singh Yadav.

The above video also shows numerous dead bodies of Karsevaks lying on the streets. It also shows the streets littered with blood. While the quality of the video is not very good, it is good enough to be able to observe the brutality of the events of November 1990. One monk in the video says that hundreds have died due to the police firing.

The video also shows people saying that the Police entered houses in order to hunt Karsevaks. Devotees can be seen weeping and crying over the police brutality that was unleashed on them. In a heartbreaking moment, a devotee says while weeping profusely that they will build the Ram Mandir no matter how much sacrifices they would have to make.

The impact of such indiscriminate slaughter was perhaps most acutely felt on the 6th of December, 1992 when Chief Minister Kalyan Singh made it clear that not a single bullet will be fired at the Karsevaks. Despite the overwhelming brutality of the shooting of November 1990, a conspiracy of silence has developed over the years where knowledge of the massacre of Karsevaks is deliberately sought to be suppressed.
