Delhi riots: Speeches by Sharjeel Imam and Harsh Mander mentioned in the charge sheet explaining incidents leading to the riots

On Wednesday, Delhi police submitted the charge sheet in the IB staffer Ankit Sharma murder case during the Delhi riots earlier this year. In the charge-sheet, they have identified the events leading to anti-Hindu riots in north-east Delhi in February 2020. In the beginning, the charge sheet explains the details of violence that took place near Jamia Millia Islamia on 13th December last year. According to the report, 2000 people gathered near JMI Metro station without any prior permission. They intended to march towards Parliament. When police stopped them at gate number 1 of JMI, the protestors responded violently and pelted stones. Fifteen police personnel were injured during the incident.

The charge sheet then mentions the incidents of violence on 15th December 2019 that took place around the New Friends Colony. Some former and current students of Jamia along with members of some political parties started protesting against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC). While marching to Parliament and President House, the crowd kept on switching roads when police stopped them. They also pelted stones on the police as per the chargesheet.

Jamia Millia Islamia campus violence

On 16th December 2019, the protestors gathered inside the JMI campus to get cover. They pelted stones on the police personnel. They strategically positioned themselves to ambush the riot control unit. To control the situation, police apprehended 52 people under Section 65 of the Delhi Police Act. During this incident, 35 police officials and 97 people present on the scene got injured. According to the chargesheet, three police booths were damaged during the incident.

Role of Sharjeel Imam and Harsh Mander in anti-Hindu riots

The charge sheet explained the role of JNU student Sharjeel Imam and Harsh Mander in the violence. Police stated in the charge sheet that the committee called JNU student Sharjeel Imam for the protest. He visited JMI and gave a provocative speech on 14th December in which he called for blocking all cities in North India until the government rolls back CAA/NRC. After his speech, riots broke out in Jamia Nagar and New Friends Colony. A chargesheet has already been filed against Sharjeel Imam in April.

Later on 16th December 2019, Harsh Mander visited the protest site and asked protesters not to believe or have faith in the Supreme Court of India. He said that the only way to get justice is to fight the battle on the roads. It has to be noted that Harsh Mander is known for taking the wrong sides against India’s Interest. His association with George Soros and Congress Party president Sonia Gandhi is well known.

The charge sheet also mentions Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar Azad who visited the site on 22nd December 2019. In his speech, Azad provoked the protesters to remain on the roads until the government rolls back CAA/NRC/NPR.

Shaheen Bagh fiasco and its impact

The chargesheet then continues to tell about the Shaheen Bagh protest. The police stated that the protesters were blocking the area since 15ht December 2019. They did not allow any vehicle to use the said road and caused a lot of inconvenience to over one lakh commuters who take this route daily. Seeing the ‘success’ of Shaheen Bagh protests, people tried to replicate it in other parts of Delhi by blocking the roads in a well-planned manner.

On 17th December 2019, a mob started pelting stones on the police in Jafrabad. They damaged property and injured many police officers. The protesters were illegally encroaching seven places in North-East District during the protests since 15th December 2019. The police stated that illegal occupation of the areas for protest caused inconvenience to commuters and residents. The situation remained tense in the area. Large crowds gathered to protest, especially during the evening that caused a lot of unrest among the residents.

The police have registered 783 cases in connection with the riots. A total of 52 persons lost their lives in the anti-Hindu riots. 434 people were injured and around 100 of them sustained gunshot injuries.

FIR filed against Aakar Patel for his Tweet asking Muslims and Dalits to carry out US like protests in India

A FIR has been registered against journalist and Amnesty International India’s Executive Director Aakar Patel for saying that Muslims and Dalits should do protests like the ongoing protests in the USA againat George Floyd killing. According to a report by Deccan Herald, the case has been filed after Napgaraja DR, a police inspector at JC Nagar police station in Bengaluru accused him with charges of provoking and instigating people from minority communities to organise similar protests across India.

On 31st May, while quoting a tweet by Colorado Times Recorder featuring a video of thousands of people protesting in Capitol in Colorado, Aakar Patel had tweeted that India Muslims, Dalits, Adivasis, women and poor also need to do protests like these. “We need protests like these. From Dalits and Muslims and Adivasis. And the poor. And women. World will notice. Protest is a craft,” he had tweeted.

In the video, thousands of people were seen lying face down on the ground and chanting “I can’t breath”.

The complaint filed by Nagaraja said that Patel called on minorities, backward, poor and women to stage protests like the one seen in the video. He said that several people had objected to Patel’s tweet.

Aakar Patel has been booked under IPC sections 505(1)(b) (with intent to cause, or which is likely to cause, fear or alarm to the public, or to any section of the public whereby any person may be induced to commit an offence against the State or against the public tranquility), 153 (Wantonly giving provocation with intent to cause riot) and 117 (Abetting commission of offence by the public or by more than ten persons).

Read- Woman ‘protestor’ poops on an overturned police car in middle of riots in America. Watch the video (or maybe not)

Police officers have said that cybercrime police and state intelligence officials are monitoring reaction of people towards the violent protests in the US. One officer said that they have taken up the case and probing the matter.

Although the video posted by Aakar Patel showed a peaceful protest, the ongoing protests in the United States have been marked by widescale violence, rioting, arson and looting. The killing of African American George Floyd by a white police officer in Minneapolis had led to nationwide protests, which soon descended into violence and riots. Protesters have attacked police teams and burnt police vehicles, looted retails stores, and burnt down houses and public places, including historic places. Several left-liberals have been calling for similar violent protests by Muslims in India. As a result, security agencies have become vigilant about such posts promoting violence in India in the line of violence in US.

Reacting to the case filed against him, Aakar Patel told Decan Herald, “I don’t think the case should have been registered. I don’t think it will go anywhere.”

Home Ministry repatriates CAPF canteens chief after ‘Swadeshi’ products list goof-up, new CEO assigned

RM Meena, the CEO of Kendriya Police Kalyan Bhandar, who on May 29 had issued an order delisting over 1,000 products from central police forces canteens calling them ”non-Swadeshi”, has been repatriated to his parent cadre in the CRPF after the recent incident.

According to the order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Deputy Inspector General Meena has been “recalled” by the Central Reserve Police Force. Rajeev Ranjan Kumar, who is also a DG-level officer in the CRPF will replace Meena as the new CEO of the board with immediate effect for a period of three months.

The office memorandum issued by the Home Ministry on Wednesday stated that KPKB CEO R M Meena was recalled to CRPF on June 1, the day the ‘Swadeshi list’ was withdrawn, “owing to administrative reasons”.

Home Minister’s order

The Home Minister had informed that all the CAPF (Central Armed Police Force) canteens across India will sell only made in India products going forward as a move to make India self-sufficient. He had said that from 1st June 2020 onward, this rule will come into force. The CAPF canteens will not sell foreign-made products henceforth.

Following the decision, Meena, who was the chief executive officer (CEO) of the Kendriya Police Kalyan Bhandar or the central police welfare stores, had issued a document on May 29 de-notifying 1,026 imported products that were till recently sold from the CAPF canteen network.

The order signed by Meena, had split products into three categories — Category 1 which was the products ‘Purely Made in India’, while Category 2 meant ‘raw materials imported’ but products manufactured or assembled in India. The Category 3 referred to ‘Purely Imported Products’.

The products falling under Category 1 and Category 2 was allowed to be on the KPKB inventory while those falling under Category 3 was de-listed and the sale was not allowed.

However, in a major goof-up, the list published by KPKB had included several Indian companies such as Dabur, Bajaj under imported items and sought to ban the products from CAPF canteens. A huge controversy had erupted following the goof-up resulting in MHA withdrawing the order it had issued.

Jamia riots: Delhi Police asks HC to dismiss petitions seeking quashing of FIRs, says violence was preplanned under the garb of ‘student protests’

On Thursday, the Delhi police submitted to the Delhi High Court that the violence that took place on December 13 and December 15 at Jamia Millia Islamia campus was not sporadic but a well-planned attack as all rioters were well-armed with stones, lathis and petrol bombs.

The Delhi police advocates Amit Mahajan and Rajat Nair, responding to six pleas filed in Jamia violence case, informed the court that the intention of the mob was to disrupt law and order in the area.

The Delhi Police Crime Branch also submitted electronic evidence — both videos and photographs, and recorded statements of evidence and added that it was clear that in the garb of students’ agitation, what happened, in fact, appears to be a well-planned and orchestrated attempt by some persons with local support (who were not students) to intentionally perpetrate violence in the area.

The Crime Branch added, “the said incident was not a sporadic incident but a well-planned incident, as the rioters were well armed with stones, lathis, petrol bombs, tube lights, etc., that clearly manifest that the intention of the mob was to disrupt law and order situation in the area”.

Accused in Jamia violence are outsiders, not students

The Delhi Police also said that with respect to the three FIRs on the violence, charge sheets have already been filed in Saket court against 20 accused and none of them were students belonging to the university. The pleas were filed seeking directions to the police to not take any coercive action against the students of JMI university and to quash all criminal proceedings against them.

The probe into the violence revealed local leaders and politicians were instigating protestors, who were raising provocative and inciting slogans, the Delhi Police said.

“They burnt tyres and threw the same towards police. The CAT ambulance, passing through university road with a patient inside, was also damaged. This unlawful crowd in different groups entered the campus on both sides of the road and started pelting stones on the force,” police said.

The Delhi Police in its affidavit also mentioned that the petitions asking for the quashing of FIRs against rioters were an utter abuse of PIL jurisdiction as the incidents of violence in and around the campus were well-planned and orchestrated attempt by some persons with local support to intentionally perpetrate violence in the area.

No need of separate inquiry into Jamia violence case, says Delhi Police

The Delhi Police on Thursday informed the Delhi High Court that there is no need of separate inquiry to look into the violence at Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) as it was already carrying out a comprehensive investigation pertaining to the Jamia riots.

According to the reports, in the affidavit, the Delhi Police asked the court to reject a bunch of pleas seeking constitution of a fact-finding committee to find out if the students were being indiscriminately arrested and were not provided medical aid.

The Delhi Police also said that the petitioner’s prime contention that it was just a ‘student protest’ and the demonstration was peaceful, is an utter falsehood and requested the Delhi HC to dismiss the petition. The police said there were already three cases registered against Jamia violence and the investigation is being monitored by a competent court and contended that no new inquiry is needed in the case.

The petition was filed by advocated Nabila Hasan, Snehal Mukerjee and Siddharth Seem seeking a report on cops against rioters at Jamia Millia University violence incident. It is notable here that as many as six petitions have been filed by various lawyers, students of Jamia, some Okhla residents and even by the Imam of the Jama Masjid, asking for the quashing of FIRs against the accused in the violence.

The Delhi Police affidavit in the Delhi High Court said that exercise of the right of dissent should be respected, however, no person should be allowed to breach of the law, indulge in violence, arson and riotous activity under the garb of exercise of the fundamental right of speech and assembly.

Muslim mob torched properties of Hindus till 24th Feb night, burnt Dilbar Negi alive: Fresh charge sheet against 12 in Delhi riots

On Thursday, the Crime Branch of the Delhi Police filed a charge-sheet in the brutal murder case of Dilbar Negi, who was burnt by a Muslim mob after being cut off with a sword during the Anti-Hindu Delhi riots in the national capital.

According to the reports, the Delhi police on Thursday filed a fresh charge sheet in the Delhi riots case, pertaining to the brutal murder of 20-year old Dilbar Singh Negi during the Anit-Hindu Delhi riots at Shiv Vihar. The dead body of Dilbar Negi was found in mutilated and charred condition in Anil Sweet House, Brijpuri on 26th February.

In the charge sheet filed before Metropolitan Magistrate Richa Parihar, the Delhi Police said that Dilbar Singh Negi was burnt alive inside his sweets-shop when a Muslim mob targeted properties of Hindus during the communal violence in northeast Delhi in February.

Muslim mob targetted Hindu shops, burnt them till midnight

According to the charge sheet, a Muslim mob had come from Brijpuri Pulia side in northeast Delhi and unleashed violence, targeting properties of Hindus. The mob continued damaging Hindu shops and burnt them till late night on February 24.

The Delhi Police said that one of the properties burnt by the Muslim mob was a shop named Anil Sweets from where the police had recovered the charred body of Negi on February 26. Negi had visited the godown of the shop for having food and taking rest, the charge-sheet said.

The charge-sheet filed by the Delhi Police stated that all the 12 accused have been charged for offences of murder, rioting, promoting enmity between groups on the ground of religion and criminal conspiracy, and are in judicial custody.

“The rioting mob targeted the properties of Hindus, that is, M/S Anil Sweets, Anil Dairy, pastry shop, book shop, DRP School and godown of M/S Anil Sweets etc by torching them till late night and the mob of the same rioters’ community remained dominant till late night,” the charge sheet said.

The Delhi police had arrested an accused named Shahnawaz and 11 others for their involvement in the gruesome murder of 20-year-old Dilbar Singh Negi.

Delhi Police files multiple charge-sheets in connection with the Delhi riots

Earlier, the Delhi Police had filed the first charge-sheet against accused Shahrukh Pathan who had fired on head constable Deepak Dahiya. Pathan was the first person to be arrested in connection to the riot case.

The police had also named Kaleem Ahmad and Ishtiyak Mallik for aiding Pathan on the spot and sheltering him.

On June 3, the Delhi Police Crime Branch filed another charge-sheet in the murder case of IB official Ankit Sharma and Rajdhani school on Wednesday with the Metropolitan Magistrate at the Karkardooma Court in Delhi.

According to the charge-sheet, Ankit Sharma was specifically targeted by a mob led by suspended AAP leader Tahir Hussain, and there was a deep-rooted conspiracy behind his murder. The charge sheet said that Ankit Sharma was murdered outside the residence of Tahir Hussain in the Khajuri Khas area on February 25. After stabbing him for multiple times, the mob threw his body in the nearby drain.

The charge-sheet which was filed on Wednesday also mentions the Rajdhani school case. The FIR was lodged on March 5 in the riots that took place on February 24 outside the premises of Rajdhani school Shiv Vihar, New Mustafabad, Delhi.

The mob had camped inside and fired bullets from the terrace of Rajdhani school. They used the terrace of Rajdhani school to throw petrol bombs, acid, bricks, stones, and other missiles using an improvised large iron catapult installed there.

Medical journal The Lancet retracts its HCQ article based on fake data from a dubious company, authors say they cannot vouch for data’s authenticity

In a major development, The Lancet – one of the world’s leading medical journals, on Thursday retracted a controversial study it had earlier published on the use of hydroxychloroquine to treat coronavirus because of several discrepancies in the research data.

According to the reports, the lead author of the research paper, Prof Mandeep Mehra, from the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts had asked the Lancet to withdraw the study after they could no longer vouch for the data’s accuracy.

“Today, three of the authors have retracted “Hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine with or without a macrolide for treatment of COVID-19: a multinational registry analysis”,” the Lancet published a retraction for its earlier studies.

The researchers, who had published their study in Lancet, had worked with a dubious health care analytics company named Surgisphere, on the study.

“After the publication of our Lancet article, several concerns were raised with respect to the veracity of the data and analyses conducted by Surgisphere Corporation,” the study authors wrote in their retraction.

Lancet’s statement about the retraction of their article, via Twitter

The Lancet, in its statement, said that they have launched an independent third-party peer review of Surgisphere with the consent of its CEO Sapan Desai to evaluate the origination of the database elements, to confirm the completeness of the database, and to replicate the analyses presented in the paper.

It also stated that Surgisphere could not provide them with the full dataset, client contacts and ISO audit report citing ‘confidentiality’. It is notable here that Sapan Desai, the Surgisphere CEO who had co-authored the now-debunked Lancet article, already has three malpractice suits pending against him, as reported by The Guardian.

It is notable here that Surgisphere’s CEO Sapan Desai was one of the co-authors of the now retracted Lancet article that had led the WHO and several Latin American nations to halt their ongoing trials using Hydroxychloroquine.

Similarly, the New England Journal of Medicine retracted a separate study, focused on blood pressure medications in coronavirus that relied on data from the same company – Surgisphere.

Lancet based their article on fake data provided by a dubious company

We had reported yesterday regarding a Chicago-based little-known company ‘Surgisphere’ and how the dubious data developed by them was used as a basis to publish studies in The Lancet and also New England Journal of Medicine, the world’s two most highly-cited medical journals, to halt the trials of the malaria drug hydroxychloroquine for the treatment of coronavirus.

The discrepancies in two influential studies of these journals over the efficacy of the effect of antimalarial drug hydroxychloroquine on coronavirus patients were later picked up by World Health Organization and a number of national governments to alter their response.

Based on the data given by the Surgisphere, the Lancet, on 22 May, had published a study which declared that the antimalarial drug hydroxychloroquine was associated with a higher mortality rate in coronavirus.

The Lancet study, to which Desai was one of the co-authors, claimed to have collected and studied Surgisphere data collected from nearly 15,000 coronavirus patients from 1,200 hospitals around the world, who received hydroxychloroquine alone or in combination with antibiotics.

The claims by the Lancet study were soon taken seriously worldwide. Many media portals touted it and since US President Trump had emphasised on Hydroxychloroquine as an effective treatment for COVID-19 symptoms, there was probably a sudden urgency to dismiss it.

Many large randomised trials of the drug were halted. And within days, the WHO, which was conducting a mega trial, halted it too.

Investigations revealed the data was fake

However, an investigation by the Guardian had revealed that the employees at Surgisphere have little or no data or scientific background. An employee listed as a ‘science editor’ appeared to be a science fiction author and fantasy artist. Another employee listed as a marketing executive in an adult content model and events hostess.

Most importantly, glaring errors in the study were soon pointed out by many researchers. When Guardian Australia contacted five hospitals in Melbourne and two in Sydney, they denied any role and even stated that they have never been contacted by Surgisphere or have contributed data to its study in any way. The number of deaths mentioned in Australia due to COVID-19 also did not match the actual Australian database.

These revelations had raised eyebrows over the integrity of such key studies published by these ‘renowned’ medical journals.

The dubious company had provided data for multiple studies on coronavirus, which was co-authored by the company’s chief executive, one Sapan Desai along with Mandeep Mehra.

Jammu and Kashmir top cop advises Congress leaders and left-lobby to ‘keep their mouth shut’ for questioning security forces

Director-General of Jammu and Kashmir Police Dilbagh Singh lashed out at Congress leaders and the left-lobby for questioning the ability of the forces. While speaking to Times now in its exclusive interview, Dilbagh Singh slammed Congress leader PL Punia and lobby for their recent take on the forces questioning the forces day after the recent threat in Pulwama was averted.

Recently, PL Punia had questioned security forces and asked after ‘How did IED reached the valley?’ On this, Dilbagh Singh said that such irresponsible remarks are delivered by Pakistan to malign the image of the country and its forces.

On being asked that what does he feels when the working of security forces is questioned by the politician, the top cop said, “It is very unfair on the part of people who know nothing about the operations happening in Kashmir, yet they keep making irresponsible comments. They should keep their mouths shut unless they have facts to share with us. Moreover, any irrational comment regarding this Pulwama IED incident would be unfair, as it’s only we who know how hard we worked to prevent the unimaginable loss of life would have been caused had terrorists succeeded in their ugly plan. So making such comments is highly irresponsible.”

Such irresponsible statements give a shot in the arm of Pakistan

Dilbagh Singh said that such irresponsible statements give a shot in the arms of Pakistan which is often indulged in propaganda against armed forces. He said, “Yes it does give a shot in the arm of Pakistan, which is indulging in large scale propaganda against forces. They are always on the lookout for opportunities to exploit the situation and malign the image of India. Such comments provide fuel to Pakistan and it’s proxies to support their ill argument against us. It is advisable to refrain from making irresponsible comments on the working of security forces unless someone has something specific to say.”

IED has always been a favorite mode of terror for the JeM

Dilbagh Singh asserted a bit about the modus operandi of the Jaish-e-Mohammad militants. He informed that in order to reduce their casualty rate and cause maximum damage the militants are now resorting to impoverished explosive device(IED) attacks. Dilbagh Singh affirmed that despite the worst conditions and challenges the security personnel was well prepared to weed out the terror from the valley to ensure peace and prosperity.

He said, “IEDs have always been the favorite mode of terror that outfits like Jaish have been resorting to. This trend has picked up over the last couple of months. The reason being, that IED is a device that can be used from a distance inflicting massive losses on opponents. Moreover, if it is detonated by someone operating from a vehicle with the specific target ie; security forces or the civilians, the losses are even higher. That is why IED is one of the favorite terror tools which JeM has been frequently using these days.”

The failure of another Pulwama like attack baffled the terror handlers

Dilbagh Singh asserted that Jaish-e-Mohammad’s failure to repeat Pulwama type suicide bombing has baffled terror handlers sitting in Pakistan. “There are specific inputs that reveal that handlers of Jaish sitting in Pakistan were unhappy with the failed bombing attempt. In their view, Jaish leadership in Kashmir committed a big blunder that despite fabricating car IED they failed in their mission to target security forces. Such things definitely prove that Pakistan’s hand is always there behind such terror incidents. Terror organizations like Jaish and Lashkar have very gruesome intentions vis-a-vis J&K.”

On 28 May 2020, the Jammu and Kashmir police in a joint operation with CRPF and Army averted a major attack after an attempt was made by terrorists to carry out a blast using a vehicle-borne IED.

Bar Council of India passes resolution against legal news portal Live Law for publishing a defamatory article against BCI chairperson

The Bar Council of India on Wednesday passed a unanimous resolution against online legal news portal Live Law and its author Vikas Bhadauria for an article published on the portal. Bhaduria had written an article criticising Chairman of the Bar Council of India, Manan Kumar Mishra, which was published on Live Law on June 1. According to the Bar Council of India, the article is not only defamatory but also a brazen attack on the Chairman as well as the organisation.

Bar Council of India criticised Live Law for allowing its platform to be used for a defamatory story prompted by ill-will and malice

In the said resolution it has been stated that it is “appalling that Live Law has allowed its platform to be used for a defamatory story prompted by ill-will and malice to make personal allegations against Mr Manan Kumar Mishra, Chairman, Bar Council of India.” It mentions a write-up dated June 1, 2020, by author Vikas Bhadauria, in which Bhadauria criticised BCI Chairman and accused him of “stifling genuine criticism and stalling reform”.

The article written by author Vikas Bhaduria, published by Live Law on June 1, 2020.

“We take it as a brazen attack not only on the Chairman but, on the Bar Council of India as an Institution. Ever since Mr Manan Kumar Mishra was elected Chairman of Bar Council of India, he has been relentlessly espousing and fighting for the cause of Advocates’ fraternity in the country”, read the resolution.

“The said author has done cherry-picking to suit his false story and has made reference to selective portions of certain statements and communications of Mr Manan Kumar Mishra without giving full text and proper purport which has always been to advance the cause of the bar”, said the resolution.

One suspect arrested in Kerala pregnant elephant death case, autopsy report reveals she could not eat for two weeks after cracker explosion in mouth

The forest department in Kerala has arrested one suspect in the case of death of a pregnant wild elephant in Kerala. The person is being interrogated in the matter. The elephant had died after she was fed a pineapple filled with firecrackers by some villagers.

The autopsy report of the dead elephant has revealed that the crackers stuffed in the pineapple which was fed to the elephant burst in her mouth leading to severe injuries. The elephant was not able to eat anything due to the deep wounds, due to which she fell and drowned due to weakness. The elephant’s preliminary post-mortem examination was conducted at the Mannarkkad Forest Division. It revealed that the animal died as a result of drowning, followed by inhalation of water which led to lung failure. This has been identified as the immediate cause of the death of the elephant.

“Major and incapacitating wounds and injuries in oral cavity caused localised sepsis and have most likely occurred following an explosive blast in the mouth. This resulted in excruciating pain and distress in the region and prevented the animal from taking food and water for nearly two weeks. Severe debility and weakness in turn resulted in the final collapse in water that led to drowning,” the preliminary post-mortem report said.

The investigation in the case has been moving on a faster pace and the forest department has started interrogating the suspect in custody. As per reports, three people are under suspicion of feeding the pineapple full of crackers.

The incident happened in Pallakad and not Mallapuram

Kerala Chief Wildlife Warden Surendra Kumar said that it is hard to believe that someone would have deliberately fed crackers to the pregnant elephant but the investigation is underway. He also said that no one dares to go nearby a wild elephant and feed them. He also clarified that the incident happened in Pallakad and not Mallapuram.

Reportedly, the locals saw the female elephant on 25 May when she came to their village and she died on May 27 after standing in water for the whole day. The FIR was registered on May 28. Surendra Kumar said that they have questioned some people about the incident but no evidence was gathered so far that indicates that someone deliberately fed her crackers.

After the incident took caught rage on social media, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the investigation is underway and strict action will be taken against the perpetrators.

Female elephant’s jaw was broken

Chief Wildlife Warden Surendra Kumar had revealed that her jaw was broken and she was unable to eat after she chewed the pineapple which exploded in her mouth. The issue came to light when forest officer Mohan Krishnan shared about it on social media. He said that she was standing in the river with her head dipped in water. “She trusted everyone. When the pineapple she ate exploded, she must have been shocked not thinking about herself, but about the child, she was going to give birth to in 18 to 20 months,” he wrote on Facebook.

“He is being punished for being Muslim”: AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan once again plays communal card to defend Tahir Hussain

A day after the charge sheet filed by Delhi Police crime branch named AAP suspended MLA Tahir Hussain as the key conspirator and accuses him of leading the mob to specifically target IB sleuth Ankit Sharma, another controversial politician of the Aam Aadmi Party, Amanatullah Khan, has jumped in defence of his colleague and co-religionist former AAP councillor Tahir Hussain by playing Muslim victimhood.

Taking to his Twitter page, Khan has once again asserted that Tahir Hussain is innocent and is being framed because of his religion.

Khan wrote in Hindi on Twitter: “दिल्ली पुलिस ने अपनी चार्ज शीट में ताहिर हुसैन को दिल्ली दंगों का मास्टर माइंड बनाया है, जबकि पूरा देश जनता हैं कि दंगे किसने कराये असल दंगाइयों से अभी तक पुलिस ने पूछ ताछ तक नही की, मुझे लगता है कि ताहिर हुसैन को सिर्फ मुसलमान होने की सज़ा मिली है,” roughly translated as: “The Delhi Police have declared Tahir Hussain as the mastermind of the Delhi riots in its charge sheet, while the whole country knows who the actual masterminds are. The Delhi police have not even bothered to inquire about the actual rioters. They have framed Tahir Hussain because he is a Muslim”.

AAP MLA Amanatulla Khan’s Tweet

Khan, who is himself accused in innumerable cases, most notably for inciting violence in Delhi on December 15, 2019, attempts to stoke fear among the Muslims by insinuating that just Tahir Hussain is just being targetted by the central government because of his religion. And this is not the first time Khan has played the religion card to defend his colleague.

Amanatullah Khan played the same religion card earlier to defend Tahir Hussain

Earlier too, a day after the Karkardooma Court in New Delhi had sent suspended AAP councillor Tahir Hussain to 7-day police remand in connection with the IB sleuth Ankit Sharma’s murder case, AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan had raised Muslim victimhood to assert that the tainted AAP leader Tahir Hussain is innocent.

IB officer Ankit Sharma was specifically targeted by a mob led by Tahir Hussain: Charge-sheet by Delhi Police

Yesterday, Delhi Police Crime Branch filed a charge-sheet in the murder case of IB official Ankit Sharma and Rajdhani school with the Metropolitan Magistrate at the Karkardooma Court in Delhi. According to the charge sheet, Ankit Sharma was specifically targeted by a mob led by suspended AAP leader Tahir Hussain, and there was a deep-rooted conspiracy behind his murder.

The FIR in the murder case of Ankit Sharma was filed on February 26 at Dayalpur police station. Delhi police had filed two charge sheets yesterday in relation to the Delhi riots.

The charge sheet says that Ankit Sharma was murdered outside the residence of Tahir Hussain in the Khajuri Khas area on February 25. After stabbing him for multiple times, the mob threw his body in the nearby drain. A witness standing at a distance on a terrace captured the video on his mobile in which a mob is seen dumping the deceased body into the drain. The dead body was recovered from the drain the next morning.

The post-mortem report claimed that there were 51 sharp and blunt injuries found on the Ankit Sharma’s body. Ten people including ex-AAP councillor Tahir Hussain have been arrested in this case. Further investigation has revealed that there is a deep-rooted conspiracy behind the riot and the murder of IB Official Ankit Sharma who was a very familiar face in the area. The charge sheet says that he was specifically targeted by the mob led by Tahir Hussain who was then politician of Aam Aadmi Party and sitting councillor in East Delhi Municipal Corporation, Delhi.

During the investigation, the knife which was used to stab Ankit Sharma and his blood-stained clothes of the murderer was recovered. Another knife and Tahir Hussain’s pistol was recovered in a separate case.

The investigation has revealed that Tahir Hussain is the main person who had been instigating the mob both on 24 and 25 of February in the Chand Bagh area. Another charge sheet against him has been filed for orchestrating riots on 24 February.
