Nita Ambani’s emerald necklace and Sudha Murthy’s simple lifestyle: Left-liberals find reasons to hate both

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding activities lately sparked nationwide interest. Nita Ambani attended the third day of celebrations dressed in a lovely beige saree made by Manish Malhotra in partnership with Reliance’s luxury brand, Swadesh. The saree was created by expert artisans from South India and included a delicate zardozi design. However, what stole the show was her opulent emerald diamond necklace.

Along with the necklace, Nita also wore matching diamond earrings and a chunky solitaire ring on her finger. Her set of bangles too was adorned with diamonds and emeralds.

Though Nita Ambani’s saree had a subtle, understated elegance, the statement piece that turned heads was the stunning necklace she wore with it. Reports suggested that Nita Ambani’s necklace alone cost between Rs 400 and 500 crores.

As pictures and videos of Nita Ambani’s opulent jewellery went viral, social media was flooded with reactions. There was this typical set of left-liberals or ‘progressives’ who were quick to demonise Nita Ambani for displaying opulence at her own son’s pre-wedding celebrations. They instantly labelled her as insensitive or tone-deaf for flaunting expensive clothes and jewellery or engaging in frivolous spending, particularly in a society where many people suffer from poverty and lack of resources.

A user on X who went by the handle @Advaidism made a sarcastic remark on a photo of Nita Ambani wearing the gorgeous emerald necklace at her son’s pre-wedding ceremony. He wrote, “Good to see an emerald necklace worth 500 crore in a country where 81 crore people depend on free rations and where the slums and the poor were concealed with green sheets during the G20 summit.”

A lady who goes by the name Mini Nair, who claims to be an author, also jumped onto the bandwagon as she mockingly remarked that the cost of Nita Ambani’s emerald necklace exceeds the JNU’s annual budget.

Well, interestingly Mini Nair is the same ‘feminist’ who had mocked Sudha Murthy, Infosys Foundation Chairperson and wife of the Indian software billionaire NR Narayana Murthy, after a picture of hers, where she’s sitting amid heaps of vegetables, went viral on social media back in the year 2020.

In 2020, IRS officer Surbhi shared the image on X (formally Twitter) with the claim, “Every year Sudha Murthy, wife of founder Infosys, spends one-year selling vegetables to get rid of Ego. How one doesn’t let money change their values.” She later said one day in a year.

Though later the Infosys Foundation chairperson cleared the air, saying she was not selling vegetables but was there to do selfless service in Raghavendra Swamy temple, Mini Nair was quick to react to the picture Surbhi shared on the social media site. She mocked Sudha Murthy saying, “It’s so easy for Sudha Murthy to sit one day , a year to sell vegetables . She is privileged to get rid of her ego thus. Thousands and scores of women go hoarse screaming Bhaaji le, paplet , pushing the cart to get rid of their hunger . C’est la vie !”

The purpose of writing this article today is to highlight the obvious hypocrisies of these so-called liberals. Irrespective of what a wealthy person does, these left-liberals somehow find novel ways to criticize them for the cardinal sin of being rich. One way to look at it is that Nita Ambani is being chastised for showing off her wealth, which includes owning expensive things like the emerald necklace, which by the way, she paid for with money that she and her family earned through a whole lot of resiliance and hard work. Now imagine that these same liberals demonise individuals like Sudha Murthy, who is admired by many for her simplicity and philanthropy.

This gang of left-liberals argue that Sudha Murthy’s association with wealth, given her husband’s status as a billionaire, undermines her image as a champion of modesty and simplicity. This same set of people demonises the like of Nita Ambani arguing that such ostentatious display of wealth is indicative of societal inequalities or excessive wealth concentration.

They wish to spread the myth that those who are wealthy are all entitled, arrogant, and oblivious to the struggles faced by common people. Incorrect beliefs are propagated leading to negative stereotypes and prejudices against the wealthy. The false perception that the rich are getting richer while the poor are getting poorer is leading to unnecessary bias and hatred.

According to many observers, the combined revenues of the conglomerate controlled by Indian business tycoon Gautam Adani and fellow mogul Mukesh Ambani are equivalent to 4 per cent of India’s GDP. Despite this, these Indian billionaires have become a virtual punching bag for not only the anti-reformists but also for the entirety of the political left. We have seen how the Congress and the left ecosystem often go into overdrive to attack the Adani Group and, by extension, the Modi government, given the party’s wild allegations against the Modi government of favouring a ‘few rich people’.

Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has repeatedly been trotting out ‘Adani and Ambani’ jibes to attack the current dispensation even as Congress-ruled state governments have generously indulged the businessmen.

The Congress party had also helped ‘mainstream’ the disinformation that the Adani group, which manages the operations of the Mundra port, was somehow responsible for 3000 kg of heroin found in a shipment from Afghanistan in September 2021.

The Adani group was forced to issue a media statement in a bid to nullify the unsubstantiated claims of the grand old party. In June 2022, Rahul Gandhi amplified fake news published by leftist propaganda outlet, The Wire, which suggested that PM Modi influenced a deal in Sri Lanka at the behest of the Adani group.

Even though the Sri Lankan president rejected any such collusion or favour for any specific company, Rahul Gandhi seemed upset that an Indian company won a bid for a project in Sri Lanka.

The fake news about crony capitalism and favouritism, disseminated by Congress on a regular basis, led to real-life acts of violence and vandalism during the anti-farm law protests. Jio towers, belonging to the Ambani group, were damaged.

Last year, when a controversy erupted after Hindenburg Research published a report raising serious questions about the Adani Group, veteran Congress leader Jairam Ramesh, who is facing allegations of having links with China, issued a statement over the controversy, co-opting Hinderburg Research’s report to attack the Modi government.

Similarly, Congress supporters, self-proclaimed neutral journalists, alleged ‘fact-checkers’, and leftist trolls too jumped into the fray, using allegations against the Adani Group to train their guns against the central government and hoping that their far-fetched efforts to implicate the Modi regime would reward their preferred political parties with electoral rewards in the near future.

Why is the liberal ecosystem so hostile to rich people? Why are they of the opinion that most rich people don’t deserve their wealth simply because it was not “hard work”? It’s important to recognize that judgments about wealthy individuals are not always fair or accurate, and they can be influenced by stereotypes, biases, and societal perceptions. Additionally, not all wealthy individuals fit the negative stereotypes, and many use their resources for positive contributions to society.

Karnataka: CM, Deputy CM, and top officials receive email sent by ‘Shahid Khan’ threatening bomb blasts in Bengaluru, demands Rs 20 crores

On Tuesday (5th March), Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and several officials received a threatening e-mail warning of a bomb blast in the state. The sender warned of carrying out a bomb blast in the state’s capital, Bengaluru, the coming Saturday, and demanded a ransom of around Rs 20 crores ($2.5 million) to avert the blast. Police have launched a probe into this bomb threat case.

According to ANI, the threat email was sent by a person named Shahid Khan, who threatened that an explosion would rock Bengaluru at 2:48 pm on Saturday. The email was sent by a person using the email address [email protected].

According to media reports, the threatening e-mail was addressed to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, the Home Minister, and the Bengaluru Police Commissioner.

In the e-mail, the sender Shahid Khan threatened that explosions could rock busy places such as restaurants, temples, buses, or trains. The sender also warned of planting bombs during public events.

Additionally, through the threat mail, Khan demanded a ransom of more than Rs 20 crore (2.5 million dollars) stating that a bomb blast would take place if the demand is not met.

The threatening e-mail read, “What are your thoughts on the movie trailer? If you don’t provide us with 2.5 million dollars, we will cause large explosions on buses, trains, temples, hotels, and public areas throughout Karnataka.”

It further added, “We want to show you one more trailer. We are going to explode the next one in the Ambari Utsav bus. After the Ambari Utsav bus blast, we will raise our demands on social media. And will upload screenshots of the mail sent to you on social media. We will tweet information about the next explosion.”

Bengaluru City Crime Branch police have registered a suo moto case on the same day and an investigation is underway in the bomb threat e-mail matter.

Earlier in the day, on Tuesday (5th March), the Karnataka Police arrested one accused named Mohammed Rasool Kaddare for posting a video on social media in which he threatened to kill PM Modi and UP CM Yogi Adityanath if Congress comes to power.  The arrest was made after an FIR was registered at Surpur police station in Karnataka’s Yadgiri.

OpIndia visited the Facebook profile of Mohammed Rasool Kaddare and found that the contentious video featuring him with a sword and abusing PM Modi and Yogi Adityanath has been deleted. We stumbled upon a ‘Facebook reel’ uploaded by the Islamist in January this year wherein he was seen hailing slain Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein for attacking the Jewish State of Israel.

Bomb threat after an IED blast took place in a Bengaluru cafe

These developments come days after an improvised explosive device (IED) blast rocked Rameshwaram Cafe, a popular eatery in Bengaluru on 1st March. At least 10 people were injured in the blast who are undergoing treatment at hospitals.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken over the probe into the explosion.

During the probe into the Bengaluru Rameshwaram Cafe blast, reports have emerged suggesting a possible link between the suspect and the Ballari ISIS module.

As per reports citing official sources, several similarities have been noted between the blast and the cases linked to the ISIS module, although whether the ISIS Ballari module is still active is yet to be confirmed. One of the similarities mentioned in the reports is the assembly of improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

Moreover, the execution of the blast also appears to have similarities with previous such blasts in the state including the Mangaluru cooker blast. Notably, in December last year, the NIA arrested eight terrorists in the ISIS Ballari module case including its leader Minaz.

‘Congress is run by a family, Communists are Godless’: Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay on his decision to join BJP

On Tuesday (5th March), former Calcutta High Court judge Abhijit Gangopadhyay announced his decision to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). This comes after he resigned this morning.

On his last day as a high court judge, Justice Gangopadhyay told media outside the court that he had sent his resignation letter to President Droupadi Murmu, Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, and Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court TS Sivagnanam.

Confirming that he is joining the BJP on 7th March, Abhijit Gangopadhyay said that the BJP is the only party capable of challenging the Trinamool Congress. Regarding his role inside the party, Gangopadhyay stated that the decision would be made by the party’s top leadership.

“BJP is the only all-India party that is fighting against a bad party like the TMC. The BJP high command will decide what my role will be. TMC spokespersons have time and again slammed me. They don’t know that they can’t say such things to a judge,” Gangopadhyay said.

“Modi hardworking, Congress run by one family”

The former judge lauded Prime Minister Modi calling him a “very hardworking man”. Meanwhile, he also slammed the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and Congress. Gangopadhyay said that he believes in God while the communists advocate for a state-less, religion-less society. For the Congress party, he said that is the “Zamindari” of one family.

“Trinamool is imploding… it means corruption. PM Modi is a very good, hardworking man and he is trying to do something for this country,” he declared and took swipes at the other opposition parties, “I believe in God and religion, but CPIM does not and the Congress is the zamindari of one family,” the former judge said.

Attacking TMC, he said, “I took this decision in the past 7 days. My understanding is that this TMC is crumbling from the inside. It won’t last long. They have made it a fashion to attack judges, but now all their scams will slowly come out.”

Interestingly, Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay ‘thanked’ the Trinamool Congress for challenging him to enter politics. “I don’t believe that Trinamool Congress is a political party. It is a jatra party. It is full of corruption. There are a few good people in the party, but they join often not knowing the true character of this party.”

Decision to resign, “call of conscience”

Speaking to ANI on 3rd March, Gangopadhyay said that his decision to resign from his position as a judge in Calcutta High Court was a “call of conscience”.

“…Resign from the post of a judge in High Court Calcutta. For the last two or more years I have been dealing with some matters, especially education matters, regarding which a huge corruption has been discovered and unearthed. A large number of important persons in the education sector of this government are now languishing in jail, under trial. Thereafter, now I am taking labour matters. There also large scams of employers in respect of provident fund gratuity, etc. I have also passed certain orders in those respects.”

“But what I have failed while doing these matters of labour matters, labour legislation, that I have felt that my job in this duty, my job is over. This is the call of my conscience. Now I should go to the larger people, larger area. In court, a judge deals with the matters which come before him if a person files a case. But in our country and also in our state, West Bengal, there are a large number of very helpless people. Which I have found…So I have thought that only the political field can give people who want to take steps in respect of those helpless people a chance to act for them…” Gangopadhyay continued.

Notably, speculations are rife that Abhijit Gangopadhyay could contest the Tamluk seat on BJP ticket, which has been a bastion of the ruling TMC in recent elections.

About Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay

A High Court judge since May 2018, Justice Gangopadhyay had issued multiple directives to the central probing agencies – Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) asking them to investigate alleged irregularities in the recruitment of both teaching and non-teaching staff in West Bengal government-sponsored and aided schools.

Evidently, in 2022, Justice Gangopadhyay directed the CBI to probe an alleged recruitment scam.

Additionally, Justice Gangopadhyay had once accused Justice Soumen Sen of “acting for a political party in the State”. The development unfolded after Justice Sen, part of a Division Bench, stayed an order by Justice Gangopadhyay in which the latter had directed the West Bengal Police to hand over documents related to a case to the CBI.

Following Justice Sen’s stay, Justice Gangopadhyay then took up the matter again. Subsequently, he ordered the Advocate General to hand over the case papers to the CBI and insisted that he wasn’t informed of the stay order passed by the division bench.

Further in his order, Justice Gangopadhay had also accused Justice Sen of pressuring another Justice not to take a tough stance against TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee. According to the allegation, Justice Amrita Sinha was presiding over cases involving TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee. Justice Sen then summoned Justice Sinha to his chambers and advised her not to disturb Abhishek Banerjee, citing his political future.

New Delhi: Yes Bank branch manager Mohammad Mukeem, 2 others held for selling fake bank accounts to Mewat-based cyber criminals

On 4th March, the Delhi Police Cyber Crime unit arrested the manager of Yes Bank’s Lajpat Nagar branch in New Delhi, identified as Mohammad Mukeem for selling fake bank accounts to cyber criminals.

Mukeem and two other employees of the bank were arrested for selling fake bank accounts to cyber criminals. As per reports, Mukeem and his associates were opening the new accounts using fake documents to conduct criminal activities in hiding.

Notably, a similar arrest was made involving an employee from Kotak Mahindra Bank raising concerns over the involvement of bank employees in criminal activities. The recently arrested Yes Bank employees provided bank accounts to a cybercrime syndicate operating from Haryana’s Mewat, a den of cyber fraud.

The arrested accused were getting paid handsomely for every fake account generated. The bank manager and his associates were getting Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000 per account.

Other two employees of Yes Bank arrested in the matter have been identified as Anakesh and Roshan Kumar. Both of them are sales officers at the bank.

So far, transactions worth Rs 2 lakh have been unearthed out of which Rs 1.52 lakh were transferred directly to the fraudulently opened accounts. Cyber police are now investigating if there are other such fraudulent accounts have been opened.

ACP (cybercrime) Priyanshu Dewan said in a statement that the accused have opened at least 12 fake accounts. The police came to know about the racket after a 30-year-old MNC executive filed a complaint in April 2023 after being duped of Rs 9.2 lakh.

He was threatened by the criminals that there was a case against him and convinced him to pay a fat bribe to close the case. A case was filed in Cyber East police station under Sections 420 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 66D of the IT Act.

During the investigation, the police found that the money was transferred to the Chhatarpur branch of Yes Bank. When police traced the person whose documents were used to open the account, he told the police that he shared his details with Roshan Kumar, one of the accused arrested by Delhi police.

Roshan was picked by the police who directed them to his senior Ankesh, another accused in the case who then led them to Mukeem.

ACP Dewan said, “Mukeem was the branch manager at Chhatarpur then and was transferred to Lajpat Nagar recently. We arrested Roshan, Anikesh and Mukeem and took them on remand for questioning.”

He added, “Of the Rs 2 lakh they received from the gang, Mukeem kept Rs 1.2 lakh for himself and divided the remaining money between the other two. We are trying to arrest the man who asked them to open the accounts. We need to ascertain the extent of the fraud and find out if any other bank officials were involved in the racket.”

How cyber criminals defraud people using fake bank accounts?

Fraudulently opened bank accounts are used by cyber criminals when they try to lure a person by showing their bank account details or transaction details to appear authentic.

In some cases, they create fake websites and lure people to buy goods from these websites. The payment page of such fake websites could possibly be linked to the fake bank accounts. After a few days of operation, these websites are shut down abruptly without delivering any products to the customers.

Trigger messages or false alerts on WhatsApp or through SMS also lead to transactions from victim’s account to the fraudulent accounts of cyber criminals.

In such cases, the banking websites look strikingly similar to the original bank websites and when the victims enter their credentials, the cyber criminals get access to the victim’s bank accounts.

There have been cases where cyber criminals call a victim pretending to be an innocent person who mistakenly transferred money into the wrong account (i.e. the victim’s account) and ask the victim to send the money back.

The criminals even send a link to the victim to click on and “return” the money. Upon approving the payment, the victim ends up losing money to the frausters.

These fake bank accounts are also used by cybercriminals in fake loan apps. In these cases, the money that the borrower has to return is taken in these accounts.

Cybercriminals withdraw money from fake accounts almost immediately giving a very small window to the victim to complain and the police and bank to react to the complaint.

Varanasi: ‘Hum Hai Modi Ka Parivar’ posters pasted outside houses in solidarity with PM Modi after Lalu Prasad Yadav’s ‘no family’ dig

On Tuesday (5th March), several residents of Varanasi began pasting ‘Hum Hain Modi Ka Parivar’ posters to extend support to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and protest against Lalu Prasad Yadav’s disparaging ‘family-less’ jibe at PM Modi. According to the Varanasi residents, PM Modi is working tirelessly for the citizens day and night as 140 crore Indians are his family members. Notably, Varanasi is PM Modi’s Parliamentary constituency.

Sharing videos of Varanasi residents, news agency PTI tweeted, “Locals put ‘Hum Hain Modi Ka Parivar’ posters outside their house in #Varanasi.”

News agency IANS also shared videos of the Varanasi residents sticking ‘Hum Hain Modi ka Parivar’ posters on their house walls.

Later in the day on Monday (4th March), the Delhi BJP put up banners of ‘Modi ka Parivar’ at ITO in Delhi. The text in the banner states that 140 crores of Bhartiyas are Modi’s family. The poster also slams the I.N.D.I. alliance leaders noting that the ‘Corrupt alliance’ is for safeguarding the political careers of the children of Lalu Yadav, Sonia Gandhi, Sharad Pawar, Mulayam Singh, Farooq Abdullah, Karunanidhi and Badal. In contrast, it states that PM Modi is working for the welfare of the children of every Indian.

As per the details of the poster, it has been put up by Delhi BJP State Vice President Kapil Mishra.

Lalu Yadav’s vile remarks against PM Modi

On 3rd March, while addressing a rally of the opposition alliance at Gandhi Maidan in Bihar’s capital Patna, the RJD Supremo Lalu Yadav ranted, “Modi talks about dynastic politics, but what is dynastic politics? You (Modi) should explain why you don’t have children. What can we do if Narendra Modi does not have his own family?”

Lalu Yadav, who was convicted in the fodder scam case and is now out on bail, further brazzened it out claiming that PM Modi is not a Hindu.

He was heard saying, “(Modi) keeps bragging about the Ram temple. He is not even a true Hindu. In Hindu tradition, a son must shave his head and beard after the death of his parents. Modi did not do so when his mother died.”

Nonetheless, Lalu Yadav’s vile ‘family jibe’ at PM Modi prompted the BJP to hit back strongly at the I.N.D.I. alliance and launch the ‘Modi ka Parivar’ campaign, virtually a redux of the ‘Main Bhi Chowkidar’ campaign that paid huge dividends to BJP in the Lok Sabha elections 2019.

In line with overwhelming public support, Cabinet Ministers began suffixing their names on X(formerly Twitter) with ‘Modi ka Parivar.’ Top BJP leaders such as Amit Shah, JP Nadda, Nitin Gadkari, and Anurag Thakur extended their support to PM Modi and slammed the opposition alliance for making personal attacks on the Indian Prime Minister.

PM Modi also responded to the personal attacks against him and stated that 140 crore Indians are his family. “Jiska koi nahi uska Modi hai (The person who has no one has Modi on his side),” he stated.

“140 crore countrymen are my family. Today, crores of daughters, mothers and sisters of the country are Modi’s family. Every poor person in the country is my family,” he emphasised.

PM Modi further added, “Those who have no one, they also belong to Modi and Modi belongs to them. My India-My family, with the expansion of these feelings, I am living for you, fighting for you, and will continue to fight for you, to fulfill my dreams with determination.”

On 5th March, PM Modi lambasted the opposition leaders stating that for them, family comes first, but for him, the nation comes first.

Gurugram mouth freshener case: Restaurant manager arrested, customers were given toxic ‘dry ice’, say reports

The manager of a cafe in Haryana’s Gurugarm has been arrested by the police after diners reportedly fell ill and vomited after consuming mouth fresheners, said the police on Tuesday.

According to the police, the manager of the cafe, Gagandeep, is set to be produced in the district court today.

“On the night of March 3, we got information from the hospital that some people had been admitted here. Police reached the spot and the people who were admitted lodged a complaint and said they had gone to a restaurant. After the food, they were given a mouth freshener. After eating it, they started vomiting and had a burning sensation in their mouth, due to which they were admitted to the hospital,” said Surender Sheoran, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Manesar, Gurugram.

After reaching the hospital, the doctor said the mouth fresheners contained ‘dry ice’, which is a deadly acid that can lead to death.

“A case under Sections 328 and 120B has been registered against the staff and the restaurant owner. The manager of the restaurant has been arrested. Further investigation is underway,” added ACP Sheoran.

Earlier, reports stated that a waitress had been booked in the case under sections of criminal conspiracy and causing damage by poisoning.

On March 3, Ankit Kumar and his wife went for dinner to the Laforestta Cafe in Gurugram’s Sector 90 along with their friends. 5 persons started bleeding from their mouth, and vomiting after consuming the mouth freshener that was served to them after their meals.

Ankit had filed a police complaint stating that the restaurant had given them granules of dry ice instead of the mouth freshener. Ankit said that since he was carrying his one-year-old daughter, he didn’t consume the mouth freshener. Videos of the customers bleeding from their mouth and suffering from visible pain went viral on social media soon after.

‘Muslims guided by madarsas live in darkness, they need Modi’s light of development’: BJP’s Muslim candidate from Kerala’s Mallapuram

M Abdul Salam, the BJP’s only Muslim contender on the first list of Lok Sabha candidates for Kerala’s Mallapuram constituency has revealed that he wants to work for the development of the minority community under the leadership of PM Modi. He also said that he wants all the Muslims to realize that they have been living in the darkness and that PM Modi is the only light who is going to get them out of this darkness.

“My primary task is to shine the light of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the dark minds of Muslim minorities. I want to make them realise that they have been living in the darkness created around them. PM Modi has spent a large amount of time and money for the development of Muslims and Christians,” Salam was quoted as saying by News18.

Salam, the previous vice-chancellor of Calicut University (CU), is running for a second term on a BJP ticket. His electoral debut came in 2021 when he contested as a BJP candidate from Tirur in Mallapuram during the Kerala assembly elections. He took third place with 9,097 votes. Salam had been a professor and the director of the agronomy department at the Kerala Agricultural University before taking on the role of vice-chancellor of Calicut University.

He plans to contest from Mallapuram, a communally dangerous district that has seen violence over the last several decades as a result of confrontations between Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) followers and the now-banned terror outfit Popular Front of India.

Salam believes that residents in the region have been misled for years and have been living in darkness, with many living in ‘created darkness.’ “The Muslims have a strict religious network in the area and they are guided by the madrasas. They are living in a different time. I aim to go with a powerful lamp and shine the light of Modi and development in their minds and hearts,” he said.

Salam believes that as the only Muslim candidate so far, he must represent minorities. “Minorities are the safest in India. Indian Muslims have the safest haven in India, overtaking the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They have complete freedom to do whatever they choose. They can express themselves, expand their religion, and enjoy democratic freedom,” he said, accusing the Opposition’s INDI Alliance of spreading incorrect information against the country and PM Modi.

Salam went on to say that the INDI Alliance had been restricted from “looting public money” because they had not been in power for ten years when Modi was in office. “They are unable to resist their hunger to grab public money, so they are planning this propaganda against the BJP and Muslims,” he added.

When asked what the BJP’s focus would be in Kerala, the former VC stated that there is a strong Modi phenomenon and an undercurrent in favour of the party. Salam stated that Modi’s revolution in terms of poverty eradication, industrialization, education, tourism, and environmental protection is gaining popularity.

Kerala has seen a significant surge in corruption, lawlessness, and terrorist activities, which the BJP can put an end to, he claimed. “Modi is contesting all Lok Sabha seats in the country. I would go a step further and say that those running are merely representatives, and the votes they receive are simply a result of people’s affection for Modi,” he remarked.

Regarding his chances in the election, Salam stated that his motto would be the “Modi mantra, Modi model of governance and development, and Modi’s model of Muslim inclusivity.”

Islamist, who raised ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogan inside Karnataka Vidhan Soudha, shared stage with top Congress leaders: Details

Days after an Islamist by the name of Mohammed Shafi Nashipudi was detained for raising ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogans on the corridors of Karnataka Vidhan Soudha, it has now emerged that he has strong connections with the ruling Congress party.

On Tuesday (5th March), the popular OSINT handle ‘The Hawk Eye’ posted several images of Nashipudi sharing the dias with top Congress leaders in the State.

In a tweet, it informed, “Karnataka Vishan Souda pro-pak accused Mohammed Shafi Nashipudi is not just a trader or random congress supporter. Neither is he a random guy in the crowd “planted” by the BJP. Nashipudi shares close dias with Karnataka Congress’ top leadership.”

In pictures shared by ‘The Hawk Eye,’ Mohammed Shafi Nashipudi could be seen standing in close proximity to Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, President of Karnataka Congress Saleem Ahmed, PwD Minister Satish Jarkiholi and Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera.

The supposed ‘trader’, accused of pro-Pakistan sloganeering in the Vidhan Soudha, was also spotted alongside Congress MLA Shivannavar, Karnataka Health Minister Dinesh Gundurao and Congress Rajya Sabha MP Naseer Hussain.

According to ‘The Hawk Eye’, Mohammed Shafi Nashipudi was seen attending and campaigning for the Congress and sharing the stage with heavyweight leaders from the grand-old party. As such, the Islamist is no ordinary trader or random Congress support.

It has now come to light that the accused has plans to contest the upcoming Vidhan Sabha elections in Karnataka.

The Background of the Controversy

Following the victory of Syed Naseer Hussain as Congress MP for Rajya Sabha, Mohammed Shafi Nashipudi and two others namely Iltaz and Munawar raised pro-Pakistan slogans in the corridor of the Karnataka Vidhan Soudha.

On 29th February, Nashipudi was detained while the other two were arrested on Monday (4th March).

The arrests were carried out based on foresic lab report, confirming that the slogan was indeed ‘Pakistan indabad’ and not ‘Naseer Sahab Zindabad’, as claimed by the likes of Mohammed Zubair.

‘Akhilesh Yadav’s Muslim vote bank has left him’: Maulana Mufti Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi of All India Muslim Jamaat says SP may get ‘zero’

On Tuesday (5th March), the National President of All India Muslim Jamaat, Maulana Mufti Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi said that the Samajwadi Party supremo’s MY (Muslim-Yadav) equation has deteriorated and that his party is likely to get ‘zero’. He said due to the continued negligence of Muslims by Akhilesh Yadav, his party’s Muslim vote bank is upset and thus drifting away.

“Akhilesh Yadav Ji’s M-Y [Muslim-Yadav] equation has worsened. Yadavs and Muslims used to be the life and soul of his party, however, now the Muslims are upset with his [Akhilesh Yadav’s] ways of working, perpetual negligence of Muslims, and not giving tickets to Muslim candidates in accordance with their population in the state. Due to this, the Muslims are drifting apart from him and the party,” Maulana Mufti Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi told IANS.

Speaking about the Samajwadi Party’s Yadav vote bank, the Maulana said, “To a large extent even the Yadavs have drifted towards other parties. In the political regard, Akhilesh Yadav is moving towards a ‘zero’ point in Uttar Pradesh. He wants to ride on the shoulders of Congress and move ahead, however, but there is no visible success in it.”

He went on to say that the Muslims who used to firmly support Akhilesh Yadav are now strongly opposing him. “Akhilesh Yadav has lost the trust of Muslims,” the Jamaat Maulana concluded.

Notably, this is not the first time that Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi has launched an attack on the Samajwadi Party supremo. Last month, the Maulana came down heavily on Akhilesh Yadav for not nominating any Muslim among the three candidates named by his party for the Rajya Sabha election. He also asserted that the Muslim community deserved two seats given its consistent support to the Samajwadi Party.

In his letter, the Maulana accused the Samajwadi Party of having an “anti-Muslim attitude” as he wrote, “I want to bring to your notice a few ground realities. You made a Pichhada, Dalit, and Alpsankhyak(PDA) grouping, running your campaign based on it. You are fully aware that 98% of Muslims voted for the Samajwadi Party in the 2022 Assembly elections, helping its MLAs to win many seats in an election where many communities, including your own, drifted towards the BJP. Despite this, you chose not to nominate even a single Muslim out of three seats in the Rajya Sabha, while the community deserved two seats. I am pained with this anti-Muslim attitude of yours.”
