Pakistani Islamists target Indian Cricketer Mohammed Shami for posting Diwali greetings

On Sunday (12th November) India’s leading fast bowler Mohammad Shami shared a picture of himself dressed in a traditional Kurta and wished everyone a “Happy Diwali” on X. Shami’s X post on the auspicious occasion garnered Diwali wishes from Indian netizens. However, the Pakistani X users who are anyway frustrated with their team’s humiliating exit from the World Cup 2023, started abusing and trolling Shami for wishing on a Hindu festival despite being a Muslim.

One Mahreen replied to Shami’s post “Yeh just naaaaaam ky Muslims hain …. Follow indian religion hi kartae (He is just a namesake Muslim, he follows Indian religion only).”

Another Pakistani wrote, “Another day for Shami proving loyalty to India.” One wonders which country Shami should show his loyalty to, given that he is an Indian citizen.

One Asif Ghafoor wrote, “Diwali wish kr deta Hun India Kay sath loyal lgonga (I will wish Diwali, will look loyal towards India).”

Another Pakistani wrote, “Bhai sajda nahi kar paye, Diwali manao ache se (Brother, you couldn’t do Sajda, celebrate Diwali).”

One Umar wrote, “Harami Sajda ker Lena taa. Semis main kaam ata lakin ni (If you had performed Sajda, it would’ve helped in Semifinals).”

Amusingly, the Pakistani Islamist forgot that his own team players not only performed Sajda but also offered Namaz on the field, even dedicated their rare win in this world cup to Gaza, yet the Pakistanis have been knocked out of the ICC tournament.

This, however, is not the first time when Shami has faced an online attack from Islamists for wishing on a Hindu festival. On Dussehra last year, Shami had posted greetings on his social media accounts. However, the Islamists didn’t like it and slammed Shami for celebrating the Hindu festival and accused him of going against his religion for his career.

Meanwhile, India’s other star bowler Mohammed Siraj also received hate from Pakistani and Indian Islamists for posting Diwali greetings on X.

“Happy Diwali to you and your loved ones,” Siraj posted on X along with his picture.

In response to Siraj’s post an X user wrote, “Are they forced to do that?”

An Indian X user Faheem wrote, “I believe the entire cricket team received diktat to share Diwali wishes along with their photos.”

One Pakistani Islamist opined that Siraj should greet people on a Hindu festival like Diwali only if Hindu players also celebrate Bakrid with him.

“Agar ye Hindu khilari aap k sath Bakra Eid manathay hain tu aap ko Diwali manana chahiye warna aap beghairat ho #FreePalestineFromIsrael #FreePalestine (If Hindu players celebrate Bakrid with you then you can celebrate Diwali otherwise you are shameless),” the Pakistani X user wrote.

World Health Organisation loses communication with Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, Director-General says hospital is surrounded by tanks

0

The World Health Organisation (WHO) on Sunday said that it has lost communication with Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, stressing that those who fled the hospital have been reportedly shot, wounded or killed.

This comes after it was reported that the hospital has been facing repeated attacks.

Sharing this on X, the WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said that according to the latest reports, the hospital was surrounded by tanks.

Moreover, WHO is gravely concerned about the safety of health workers, hundreds of sick and injured patients, including babies on life support, and displaced people who remain inside the hospital.

WHO further called for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza, as it is the only way to save lives and reduce the horrific levels of suffering, the WHO director-general said.

“WHO also calls for the sustained, orderly, unimpeded and safe medical evacuations of critically injured and sick patients,” the post added.

Additionally, the WHO raised concerns about hostages, stating that all hostages must receive appropriate medical care and be released unconditionally.

The war between Israel and Hamas has intensified in the last days, and reportedly, Israel said that Hamas’s terror group has been maintaining a major command centre as part of its vast network of tunnels, according to The Times of Israel.

Meanwhile, Jerusalem has urged Al-Shifa Hospital’s staff and patients, along with other Gazans, to flee to the south to avoid being attacked as Israeli forces continue to attack Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

According to The Times of Israel, there have been reports of gunfire targeting civilians seeking to exit the hospital to flee. Adding to that, Israel said that the shooters were Hamas gunmen; however, the terror group blames Israel.

The organisation also called for the “sustained, orderly, unimpeded and safe medical evacuations of critically injured and sick patients into Egypt through the Rafah Border Crossing.”

As the Hamas terror group has captivated over 230 hostages in the Gaza Strip, WHO said, “All hostages should receive appropriate medical care and be released unconditionally.”

MIT didn’t suspend students unleashing hate speech against Jews as it would have led to their deportation, netizens react

On Saturday (11th November), the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the United States came under fire for its inaction against pro-Hamas, anti-Israeli protestors on campus.

As per a report by Haaretz, the varsity chose to not suspend demonstrating ‘students’ who threatened Jews under the pretext that they could be sent back to their home country.

In a statement issued by MIT President Sally Kornbluth, he said, “We had serious concerns that it could lead to violence…After exhausting all other avenues for de-escalating the situation, we informed all protesters that they must leave the lobby area within a set time, or they would be subject to suspension”

Despite the warning issued by the administration, some anti-Israeli protestors chose to continue their demonstration. Instead of suspending such students for posing a physical threat to the Jewish community on campus, the MIT President decided to act otherwise.

“Many chose to leave, and I appreciate their cooperation. Some did not. Members of my team have been in dialogue with students all day. Because we later heard serious concerns about collateral consequences for the students, such as visa issues, we have decided, as an interim action, that the students who remained after the deadline will be suspended from non-academic campus activities,” Sally Kornbluth.

“The students will remain enrolled at MIT and will be able to attend academic classes and labs,” he clarified that the anti-Israeli demonstrators would not be suspended from academic classes as the majority of them are non-US citizens and could face deportation.

The development came two days after pro-Hamas supporters, belonging to ‘Committee Against Apartheid’ organised an unauthorised protest at the entrance of MIT (also called Lobby 7) on Thursday (9th November).

The varsity prohibits conducting any political demonstration at Lobby 7 due to the high footfall of traffic. Netizens were aghast at the fact that the MIT administration was concerned over ‘deportation’ of Hamas supporters and not the safety of Jewish students.

“Microcosm of the American Left in so many ways,” wrote one X (formerly Twitter) user.

Defense Attorney Marina Medvin wrote, “MIT didn’t want to punish antisemitic foreign students harassing American Jews on campus because suspension would lead to deportation under the student visa rules. So MIT chose to help the antisemites instead of punishing them. Morality run amok.”

She added, “MIT is one of the most prestigious universities in the US. These days, foreigners make up about 30% of the MIT student body. Jewish students, on the other hand, make up about 6% of the MIT student body — a campus minority.”

“MIT is protecting students who violated the terms of their visas,” tweeted Israel War Room.

“The administration promised to suspend students who continued to violate their policies because “a line had been crossed.” Tonight, the administration backed down from their promise. They have shown that actions against Jews at MIT do not have consequences,” wrote one David Koplow.

“If there will be “visa issues” for the charming students who prevented Jews from attending class *in 2023* then those holding them should have thought of that. Student visa holders need to behave like guests in the USA. Because they are. Actions beget consequences,” tweeted another user.

According to Haaretz, it is the first time that a university has openly acknowledged the reason for not taking strong action against anti-Israeli, pro-Hamas protestors.

ED arrests Zeeshan, Daud, and Jawed in money laundering case against AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan over irregularities in Delhi Waqf Board

0

On Saturday (11th November), the Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested three associates of AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan in the money laundering case pertaining to alleged irregularities in staff recruitment of the Delhi Waqf Board.

Zeeshan Haider, Daud Nasir, and Jawed Immam Siddiqui have been arrested per the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The ED stated that the three were Amanatullah Khan’s “associates” and had dubious monetary transactions between them.

Following the arrests, the Enforcement Directorate sought 14-day judicial custody of Zeeshan Haider, Daud Nasir, and Jawed Immam Siddiqui. However, Special Judge Nyay Bindu reportedly refused ED’s request and sent the accused to judicial custody till Sunday. The special judge said that the arguments were expected to take a long time to conclude.

The court took note of the arguments advanced by defence lawyer Nitesh Rana, who alleged that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) illegally produced the accused before the court after over 30 hours of detention. Notably, the rule requires a law enforcement agency to bring an arrested person before a court of law within 24 hours of their arrest.

“The accused were called by the ED at 11 a.m. on November 10, and they have been in the ED’s custody since then.” They were produced before the court at around 3:30 pm on Saturday,” Rana informed the judge.

This comes days after ED conducted raids and searched properties associated with AAP Delhi MLA Amanatullah Khan on 10th October as part of a money laundering inquiry against him and others. The AAP MLA from Okhla was arrested last year by the Delhi government’s Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) in connection with alleged irregularities in the Delhi Waqf Board.

As reported earlier, in 2016, a case was lodged against Khan following a complaint from the sub-divisional magistrate (headquarters), revenue department, alleging that appointments to various “existing and non-existing posts” in the Waqf Board were “arbitrary and illegal”.

According to charges made by a man named Hafiz Irshad Qureshi, the Board hired 33 persons on a contract basis without following any laws or regulations. Some of those chosen to the board were said to be related to Khan, and the majority were from his area, Okhla.

The complaint further stated that the CEO of the new Waqf board and over 30 staff members were appointed and employed in contravention of Section 24 of the Waqf Act, 1955 and Delhi Waqf Rules, 1977.

An FIR was filed in the aforementioned case in 2020 and Khan had been charged with illegal appointments, rule violations, and theft of funds in the Waqf Board.

Rajasthan: 40-year-old woman killed after attempted rape, police arrest killer using footage from 120 CCTV cameras

0

On 11th November, Udaipur police arrested a man identified as Hemal for allegedly killing a 40-year-old woman after a failed rape attempt. As per the reports, the victim, Kali Bai, was a goat herder. Kali Bai and Hemal were friends. The police were informed about the murder by the victim’s family members. Five teams were deployed to find the accused. After searching footage of 120 CCTV cameras, the police identified and apprehended the accused. Legal proceedings in the matter have been initiated.

On 8th November, 40-year-old goat herder Kali Bai left for work from her house located in the Ambamata Police Station area of Udaipur. When she did not return by evening, her son went to look for her. Someone informed him that Kali Bai’s dead body was seen near the Pentic Hostel behind the Philadelphia Church in Ambamata. The victim’s son rushed to the spot where he discovered the dead body with injury marks on her forehead. He promptly reported the incident to the police.

The Police rushed to the scene, took possession of the dead body, and sent it for a post-mortem. OpIndia accessed the FIR filed under Sections 302 and 201 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) in the matter against unknown person.

As per the FIR lodged based on the complaint of Kali Bai’s brother, the victim, who resided in Sajjan Nagar Kachhi Basti, routinely grazed goats in the Lal Magri jungle. On the day of the incident, when she did not return, the family members and neighbours formed search teams to look for her. Subsequently, they discovered her belongings near the Jhangiyos. Her body was found hidden among dense bushes with signs of a brutal attack.

The complainant added that the victim’s clothes were torn, and her body was discovered in a naked state. Both legs were bent at a half angle. During the investigation, it was found that the attack took place around 50 yards away from where the body was found. There was an attempt to conceal the crime by tying a scarf around her neck and placing clothes on her body.

In a statement, Superintendent of Police Bhuwan Bhushan Yadav said five teams were formed to solve the case as there were no signs of the accused at the crime scene. Police checked CCTV footage of around 120 cameras and identified one person who was seen around the crime scene at the time of the incident. Subsequently, Hemal was arrested by the police for killing Kali Bai.

SP Yadav added that Hemal and Kali Bai knew each other and were in constant contact. Kali Bai was living with her son after her husband’s death. On the day of the incident, Hemal asked her to accompany her, but she refused. He followed her and attacked when he got a chance. He tried to rape Kali Bai but did not succeed. He then hit her head with a strong object and killed her.

Reports are suggesting Hemal tried to rape her dead body, but the police did not confirm it in its statement. OpIndia tried to contact SP Yadav but could not connect.

Will turn even Beirut into Gaza: Israel responds to Hezbollah’s threat

0

On Saturday (11th November), the Defence Minister of Israel, Yoav Gallant warned Hezbollah, a Lebanon-based Islamic terror group, against escalating conflict amidst the ongoing Israel-Hamas war. Minister Gallant minced no words in telling Hezbollah that if they dared to launch a war, Israel could do what it was doing in Gaza in Lebanon as well. During a visit to the Israel army’s base on the northern border, Minister Gallant reminded the Hezbollah terrorists that their offensive would bring suffering to the people of Beirut.

“I am saying here to the citizens of Lebanon, I already see the citizens in Gaza walking with white flags along the coast and moving south. Hezbollah is dragging Lebanon into a war that may happen, and it is making mistakes. If it makes mistakes of this kind, the ones who will pay the price are first of all the citizens of Lebanon. What we are doing in Gaza, we can do in Beirut,” Gallant warned.

Gallant’s warning comes as the Hezbollah terrorist group’s head Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah claimed his outfit was deploying new types of weapons to hit Israeli targets, reaffirming that the southern front against Israel would stay active. On Saturday, Nasrallah said that there had been “an upgrade” in Hezbollah’s actions along its front with Israel.

“There has been a quantitative improvement in the number of operations, the size and the number of targets, as well as an increase in the type of weapons,” Nasrallah said in a televised address.

Nasrallah stated that Hezbollah used one Burkan rocket against an Israeli military post along the border on Saturday. He claimed the rocket could carry a payload weighing between 300 and 500 kilograms.

“You can imagine (what happens) when half a ton of explosives fall on Israeli posts,” Nasrallah said.

In response to Lebanon’s attack, Israel’s military said that its aircraft hit several Hezbollah targets. Targets, according to IDF, include infrastructure, military posts, weapons depots, and intelligence infrastructure.

Since Hamas launched an attack on Israel from the Gaza Strip on October 7, Lebanon’s southern border has seen escalating conflict between Israel and Hezbollah.

According to AFP, Israel has killed at least 68 Hezbollah terrorists since last month. In northern Israel, six soldiers and two civilians were killed.

Canada: After India flagged it, local security agencies detain 10 suspects over Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun’s threat against Air India

0

Amidst the threats issued by Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun that Sikhs for Justice will blow up Air India planes, the Canadian security agencies have increased security at the airports. Reports suggest that security agencies detained at least ten suspects at Toronto Airport for questioning. All of them were boarding Air India flights.

It is unclear if the security agencies found anything substantial from the suspects. Canadian transport minister Pablo Rodriguez said in a statement that the police are investigating the threat issued by Pannun warning Sikhs not to fly Air India on 19th November. Notably, the ICC World Cup final is scheduled for 19th November.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Rodriguez said, “Our government takes any threat to aviation extremely seriously. We are investigating recent threats circulating online closely and with our security partners. We will do everything necessary to keep Canadians safe.”

RCMP spokesperson Kristine Kelly said in a statement that the police have been collaborating with international and domestic partners and industry stakeholders to investigate the threats issued against Air India flights.

Interestingly, following steps taken by the Canadian security agencies, Pannun has claimed he did not threaten anyone but stated “civil disobedience”. CBC Canada spoke to the terror organisation’s chief, and he ignored the comment on the specific threat video, claiming his comments had been misreported and edited in the past. He claimed that he called for a boycott of Air India and other businesses that support the government of India. Pannun said, “Sikhs are facing [an] existential threat under India, and the community should not strengthen any Indian businesses, including Air India, as this will endanger their lives and future generations.”

Furthering his claims that there was no threat, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun said, “RCMP has every right to investigate a terror threat. And if they consider that calling for [a] boycott of Air India as civil disobedience is a terror, then so be it, let them investigate.”

Pannun is known for announcing cash rewards for crimes, including hoisting the Khalistani flag on the Red Fort on Republic Day, hoisting the Khalistani flag on government buildings on Independence and Republic Day, defacing walls of government buildings and public properties with Khalistani slogans, and more. His organisation has also issued death threats and called for the assassination of Indian diplomats.

Gurpatwant Singh Pannun issued a threat to blow up an Air India flight on 19th November

On 4th November, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun released a video issuing threats to the Indian government. In the video, the terrorist threatened to blow up an Air India flight. He also appealed to Sikhs in the world not to travel by Air India from 19th November onward, saying that it can be life-threatening.

In his video, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun said, “We are asking the Sikhs not to fly Air India on 19th November. On 19th November, there will be a global blockade, and Air India will not be allowed to fly anywhere worldwide. Sikhs, you do not travel by Air India after 19th November. It can be life-threatening. This is my warning to the government of India. The Indira Gandhi International Airport should remain closed on 19th November.”

Notably, 19th November is the birth anniversary of India’s former prime minister Indira Gandhi. She was killed by Khalistani terrorists in 1984. The ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 final match will also be played on 19th November at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad. Pannun has previously threatened the grand sports event hosted in India by calling it a World Terror Cup.

Washington Post columnist Khaled Beydoun, who spread lies about Hindus and India, now caught making up fake racism against Arabs

On Saturday (11th November), US-based ‘Professor’ Khaled Beydoun, who wrote extensively for The Washington Post, spread fake news about Arabs facing racism due to the ongoing Israel-Hamas war.

The propaganda artist shared a screenshot on X(formerly Twitter), which read, “Go back to your country dirty Arab.” Another message in the purported post read, “I can’t (go back). Your government gave Israel $14 billion last week to destroy it (Gaza).”

While sharing the screenshot, Khaled Beydoun claimed that he received it from a follower on Instagram. The controversial ‘Professor’ wanted to insinuate that Arabs are somehow being subjected to racism amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas war.

Although he wanted to use the alleged case of ‘racism’ to deviate public discourse from documented anti-Semitic attacks, netizens were quick to point out that the screenshot was fake.

X (formerly Twitter) users updated the community note to reflect the fact that the ‘racist message’ was written by Khaled Beydoun himself. “Blue on Instagram means that the message was sent from his own phone. Khaled presumably sent the racist message to himself,” it said.

After being exposed by netizens, the Washington Post columnist was quick to delete this tweet. In his defence, Beydoun claimed, “The post in question was sent by a THIRD party as stated in the text (from a follower) — not me. But people don’t read sadly. If was flagged by bigots who didn’t read the caption then removed. Done deal, bigger fish to fry.”

Screengrab of the tweer by Khalled Beydoun

X (formerly Twitter) users promptly pointed out how this was not the first time that the American ‘Professor’ had peddled fake news and aided in pro-Hamas propaganda. Khaled Beydon had earlier shared a 2017 image from the Syrian conflict and passed it off as a recent Israeli attack on AL Shifa Hospital in Gaza.

“They are targeting ambulances and dropped phosphorus bombs in the vicinity of the hospital, “The Washington Post falsely claimed.

Beydoun’s history of anti-India and anti-Hindu reporting

The US-based Professor has a history of disseminating both anti-Hindu and anti-India propaganda. Khaled Beydoun has repeatedly called for the secession of Jammu and Kashmir from the Union of India.

On multiple occasions, he has called Prime Minister Narendra Modi an ‘Islamophobe’.

In one tweet, Khaled claimed that PM Modi and BJP are trying to stop the Indian Muslim population from becoming the largest in the world by 2050 by “way of laws stripping Muslims of citizenship, bulldozing mosques, and ethnic cleansing.”

It is notable that there is NO LAW in India to strip Muslims from citizenship. He is referring to CAA and NRC in this tweet. Still, it has been proven multiple times that it is anti-India propaganda to call CAA and NRC Modi Government’s way to strip Muslims of citizenship.

CAA specifically does not even apply to any Indian citizen including Muslims.

In another tweet, he even claimed that PM Modi and BJP are building concentration camps with the objective to use CAA to cancel Indian Muslims’ citizenship who lack proper paperwork and throw them in those camps as “illegal immigrants”. The fact is, CAA does not concern any Indian citizen at all.

The self-obsessed Khaled calls himself “one of the few voices in the US that openly criticizes Hindutva supremacy and Islamohphia in India”.

Khaled believes he is doing some “service” to Islam by spreading disinformation about India. Source: Twitter

Last year, he tried to bask in the reflected glory from Moroccan players by claiming that this is a win for all Muslims. In April 2022, the propaganda artist claimed that it was Hindus who should be blamed for the attack on Hindu religious processions.

As such, the X (formerly Twitter) account of Khaled Beydoun was withheld in India in December 2022.

Canada: Rival gangs kill gangster Harpreet Singh Uppal and his 11-year-old son in Edmonton

0

On 8th November, a gangster and his 11-year-old son were killed by unidentified assailants in Edmonton, Canada. Identified as Harpreet Singh Uppal, the gangster was suspected of being targeted by a rival gang outside an Edmonton gas station. Uppal was one of the high-level figures in the organised crime network in Canada. He was a member of the 3rd-Generation Punjabi bikers gang and had links to Punjab gangs. While Uppal was reportedly a known associate of Brothers Keepers, Police believe that the shooters belonged to the United Nations (UN) gang, a rival gang in the region.

Uppal was facing several criminal charges, including cocaine smuggling. He was scheduled to face trial in April 2024. Usually, rival gangs do not target each other’s families. However, this time, Uppal’s 11-year-old son was not spared during the attack. Police officers said in a statement that they had come across several instances where rival gangs aborted shooting plans when a family member, especially children, were seen with the target.

Notably, there was another boy, a friend of Uppal’s son, in the car at the time of the shooting. Fortunately, he was unharmed in the incident. Acting superintendent Colin Derksen of Edmonton Police Service called the incident brazen while speaking to the media on 9th November. The Police said it was unclear if the shooters were aware of the presence of children in the car or not. He said, “But what we do know, sadly, is that once the shooter or the shooters learned that the son was there, they intentionally shot and killed him.” He further said that most gang members would agree that the shooting while children’s presence at the scene was “sick and twisted”.

The suspects came in a stolen 2012 BMW X6. The assailants later burned it in the north of Beaumont. So far, no arrests or identifications of the suspects have been made by the Police.

Uppal and his family were earlier targeted in 2021 when a gunman opened fire through the window of a restaurant where they were having a family dinner. Harsh Jindal, a getaway driver, was the only one charged in that case. However, the case against him was dropped in October of this year.

Alberta’s premier, Danielle Smith, expressed concerns that it might result in a rise in gun violence in the neighbourhood. The premier said, “With a heavy heart, I contemplate how it’s conceivable for a child to be killed in such a tragic manner like this. Like many of you, I am concerned with the rise in gun violence in our neighbourhoods.”

Staff Sergeant Rob Bilawey with the EPS Homicide Section said, “We are sad to report that a child lost their life today as a result of this violent event. The loss or injury of children as a result of gunfire is unfathomable, and we urge anyone with information that may assist this investigation to come forward as soon as possible.”

Multiple gangsters have been killed in Canada in recent times

This was not the first rival gang killing in Canada with links to Khalistani gangs. Earlier, Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar was killed by unidentified assailants outside a Surrey Gurdwara on 19th June this year. His murder resulted in diplomatic issues between India and Canada as Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau accused India of killing Nijjar on Canadian soil in September this year. Interestingly, almost two months have passed since he accused India of the murder, but has failed to present any substantial proof of the same. However, it resulted in serious diplomatic consequences as India has already removed 41 out of 61 Canadian diplomats from the country and stopped Visa services for the Canadians.

On 21st September, Punjabi gangster Sukha Duneke was killed in Winnipeg. He had fled to Canada in 2017. He was a known associate of gangster-cum-Khalistani operative Arshdeep Dalla. Another gangster, Goldy Brar, took responsibility for Duneke’s murder. In a statement, Brar accused Duneke of killing his brother Gurlal Brar and said he took revenge for his brother’s murder by killing Duneke. Notably, Goldy Brar is also accused in the murder of controversial singer and Congress leader Sidhu Moosewala, who was killed in his home village in Punjab in May 2022. Goldy is a known associate of the Lakhbir Singh Landa gang that has connections to Khalistani terrorists.

In July 2023, another Punjabi gangster, Karanveer Singh Garcha, was killed in Coquitlam, Canada. Police believe that the murder was linked to the murder of gangster Amarpreet Samra alias Chucky in Vancouver in May 2023.

On 14th July 2022, 1985, Air India bombing accused Ripudaman Singh was also killed in Canada.

Canada is known as a haven for terrorists, gangsters and most wanted criminals. Some well-established Punjabi gangs in Canada include Brothers Keepers, Dhaliwal Crime Family, United Nations, Dhak-Duhre gang, Independent Soldiers, Kang Crime Family, Malli-Buttar Coalition and others.

Deepavali 2023: Hindu festivals are clarion calls for the community to heal wounds inflicted on them every day in the fight for Dharma

Ever wondered what it’s like when the prayers in your heart of hearts are answered? The grand preparations and fervour for Deepavali (Diwali) among Hindus will give you a taste of the same come 12th November, Sunday.

Hindus in Bharat will be welcoming Prabhu Shri Ram Ji back to his beloved homeland, the Ayodhya Nagari, from his (physical) exile that lasted a painful 494 years and 10 months. The Maryada Purushottam will be accompanied by His Consort Ma Sita Ji and Brother Bhagwan Lakshman Ji.

Bringing them all home is the Bhakt (devotee) of all Bhakts, Shri Bajrang Bali, The Chiranjeevi (immortal) whose devotion and love and seva (service) for Prabhu Shri Ram Ji knows no bounds.

It is the blessing of Hanuman Ji that an uncountable number of Hindus in nearly 500 years – including those who witnessed the brutal destruction of the Ram Mandir at the hands of Islamists in 1524 AD – continued their fight for Dharma to reinstate the Dashrathanandan to His rightful home.

It is unfathomable just how many and what kind of battles Hindus have fought in the centuries and decades that passed. The struggle for reclaiming and the revival of the Bhavya Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is one that has brought Hindus spiritually closest to Siyavar Ram Chandra than perhaps his subjects at the time could ever have gotten the chance.

And it is this very Bhakti (devotion) and love of His devotees for Him that pulled Prabhu Shri Ram Ji back into the loving arms of his motherland, for He was always in our hearts. Just imagine how strong and deep our pursuit for Him has been, right from 1524 AD to 9th November 2019 – that even the sword of a murderous ideology that hung over our heads every single day, could not keep Shri Ram Himself from coming home to us.

This Bhakti was not only ritualistic and traditional in terms of practice but was also psychological. When tyranny, bloodbath, rape, genocide, conversion, destruction and mutilation of Hindus and the Hindu faith had plunged our civilisation into the abyss of misplaced identity, the revered saints of the Bhakti movement rescued us and applied the salve of Ram and Krishna Bhajans.

For every fragment that pierced into our soul when the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya was destroyed by Babur, the Ram and Krishna Bhajans and Kirtans written and sung by the great saints – namely Sant Dyaneshwar, Akka Mahadevi, Guru Nanak Dev, Basavanna, Ravidas, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Lalleshwari and Meera to name a few – were strengthening our faith that The ever-existing, infinite Maryada Purushottam can never be destroyed.

The divine echoes of the Bhakti movement are what got us through the British era, which was equally tyrannical if not worse than the Mughal period. At this point, the Bharatiya civilisation was battling not one but two rakshasas (demons) – the Islamists and the British Raj.

But by this time, the ripple effect of the Bhakti Movement had further gifted the Hindu civilisation great saints like Shri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, Swami Vivekananda, Anandamayi Ma, Swami Brahmanand Saraswati, Swami Dayananda Saraswati, Lahiri Mahasaya, Sant Tukaram, Sant Namdev, Swami Ramdas who helped the masses heal their wounds.

The Naamsmaran not only healed us but prepared us for the biggest civilisational battle that was yet to come. Times had changed, a free India was emerging albeit still gasping for air from the tentacles of the Nehru-Gandhi ‘Con’gress, of their left-liberal Islamist ecosystem.

But our faith was very much intact. So much so that even the politics post-Independence became a battle to attain Bhagwan Himself by fighting for Dharma, what can be more stronger than such Bhakti and Naamsmaran which can even make politics a movement of the masses? Every footsoldier of Bhagwan Shri Ram was fighting for Him.

From the Kar sevaks – who with roaring chants of Jai Shri Ram rightfully lay siege to the now non-existent symbol of jihadi Babur and his legacy and took bullets to their chest – to the lawyers, the intellectuals, the true historians and every artisan today building the Bhavya Ram Mandir, the unyielding Bhakti of Hindus had come to such fruition that a deep wound was healed on 9th November 2019 when the Supreme Court ruled in favour of Shri Ram Lalla Virajman.

Exactly two months and 10 days on, Ayodhya will once again welcome Prabhu Shri Ram back home, just like it did in the Treta Yuga when He returned from his 14-year-long exile. So strong has been the Bhakti of His Bhakts that He is answering our call for a second time. The birthplace of The Lord will celebrate Deepotsav (the festival of lights) by lighting a whopping 24 lakh diyas on the ghats of Saryu river.

Imagine the magnificent scale of celebrations, come 22nd January 2024. The days and years since the 2019 verdict have been a victory for Hindus. The vitriol by the left-liberal Islamists has continued but as nothing more than white noise. Our Bhakti has essentially silenced their falsehoods and rants.

Moreover, the culmination of our journey from 1524 AD to 2019 into this spiritual and civilisational victory is nothing short of the grand manifestation of the deeply ingrained Bhakti in our souls.

We owe it to Ma Bhakti and the great saints who never let us forget our roots, that we have triumphed and prevailed thus far. We owe Ma Bhakti a great deal more yet in that we must celebrate every Hindu festival with the same fervour and with much more hope to heal and reinvigorate ourselves for many such battles of Dharma are waiting to be fought. Like they say, “Ayodhya toh bas jhanki hai, Kashi Mathura baaki hai.”
