Pakistani man claiming to be PMLN politician announces 20 Million USD bounty on Dutch MP Geert Wilders, says he is next after Salman Rushdie

Twitter has suspended the account of a Pakistani man who announced a bounty of 20 million USD for anybody who beheads Dutch Lawmaker Geert Wilders, referring to the attack on author Salman Rushdie in New York. Rehan M Sabir made threat calls announcing the bounty for beheading Geert Wilders. His Twitter profile, which has now been suspended, mentions that he is a leader of the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz), the ruling party in Pakistan.

The tweet.

The tweet reads, “After the attack of Salman Rushdie Insha’Allah the next number is @geertwilderspvv. Any one from the world gave the head of @geertwilderspvv I will give 20 $ million. I want @geertwilderspvv head. We want head. All Muslims want head.”

The account of Rehan M Sabir has been suspended by Twitter following his tweet. His profile bio indicates that he is a PML(N) politician and a writer. The profile bio reads, “A Proud Pakistani, Politician, PML(N)Worker, SocialActivist, Writer, Speaker, SupportCivilSupremacy.”

Netherlands MP Geert Wilders, who is blunt about Islamic radicalism, reacted to the death threat writing, “I can not count the amount of hate and threats they send me now after the barbaric attack on the brave #salamrushdie.”

It is worth noting that this death threat to Geert Wilders comes just after author Salman Rushdie was attacked as he prepared to give a lecture in western New York. Rushdie is best known for his book ‘The Satanic Verses,’ which sparked death threats from Islamists all over the world, particularly from Iran in the 1980s. Rushdie was attacked as he prepared to deliver a speech at the Chautauqua Institution in New York.

The threat against Geert Wilders is comparable to the one made to Salman Rushdie by Islamists all around the world. Notably, Wilders has consistently backed former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesman Nupur Sharma when she got death threats from Islamists for comments she made about the Islamic prophet. Wilders has been speaking constantly against Islamic fanaticism across the globe.

Islamists prodded the Dutch lawmaker to criticise Hinduism days after Geert Wilders extended his support to former BJP spokesman Nupur Sharma. Wilders had responded to the Islamist trolls by saying that he appreciates Hinduism a million times more than he does Islam. The Dutch legislator had received multiple assassination threats for supporting Nupur Sharma.

Uttar Pradesh: Kushinagar youth named Salman unfurls Pakistani flag on his house amid ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, arrested

Amid the Har Ghar Titanga campaign launched by the central government ahead of the 75th Independence Day, a Muslim youth unfurled Pakistan’s national flag in Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh. The person has been identified as Salman.

According to reports, Salman is a resident of Bendupar Mustakil village of Kushinagar. He was seen hoisting the Pakistani flag on the terrace of his house, the video of which has gone viral over social media. The incident enraged the local people who immediately informed the police and asked the administration to take strict action.

The locals complained that Salman had engaged himself in anti-India activities by disrespecting the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign and hoisting the national flag of Pakistan instead. The Police reached the spot to verify the complaint and in immediate action asked Salman to take down the flag.

The Police also registered a complaint at the Taraya Sujan police station against the Islamist person in Kushinagar. Reports mention that the family of the accused had stopped him from hoisting the national flag of Pakistan, but to no avail. He did not agree with his family members and unfurled the Pakistani flag on the terrace of his house.

Additional Superintendent of Police Ritesh Kumar Singh talked to the media about the incident and confirmed that a case has been registered against the person. “Police first reached the spot and verified the complaint. The officers later asked Salman to take down the Pakistani flag and filed a complaint against him”, he added.

He also added that Salman has been arrested in the case and is being interrogated in the custody. “The police are investigating the whole matter. Whoever is guilty in this case will not be spared”, Kumar affirmed.

‘You made our mentors Owaisi, Maulana Madani cry’: Man threatens to blow up Yogi Adityanath, Hindu leader who filed PIL against illegal slaughterhouses

The Uttar Pradesh police have sprung into action after a man named Salman Siddiqui sent a letter to the national president of Bharatiya Kisan Manch (BKM) Devendra Tiwari threatening him and UP CM Yogi Adityanath with life. According to Aaj Tak, in a letter sent to the Hindu leader, the accused threatened to blow him and Yogi Adityanath with a bomb.

According to the media report, the reason for the death threat, as mentioned in the letter, was a PIL filed by Tiwari seeking action against illegal slaughterhouses in the state.

The letter sent to Devendra Tiwari read, “Devendra Tiwari it has been stated to you several times, yet you do not understand. Your PIL has resulted in the closure of multiple slaughterhouses in the state, robbing other Muslim brothers of their livelihood. Now you see what will happen to you. You escaped Deoband deftly, but now you and Yogi Adityanath will be blown up with a bomb. You will see the outcome within the next 15 days. The others have had their necks severed but you two (Devendra Tiwari and Yogi Adityanath) will be blown up with bombs.”

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi and Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind President Maulana Mahmood Madani’s names were also mentioned in the threat letter. The letter further stated, “You have made our mentors Asaduddin Owaisi and Maulana Madani cry. We shall avenge every single drop of tears they have shed.”

In light of the recent spate of threats and murders of Hindus at the hands of Islamists for alleged ‘blasphemy,’ such as the beheading of Kanhaiya Lal or the brutal murder of another Hindu man, Umesh Kolhe, the Uttar Pradesh police immediately took cognizance of the threat letter and started the investigation by registering a case against unknown people.

The country has recently been going through a tumultuous period, with Islamists becoming emboldened and issuing threats to everyone who does not share their ideology. Former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma’s alleged ‘blasphemous’ remark about Prophet Muhammad on May 26 sparked outrage amongst Islamists not just in India but around the world. Her decision to merely quote an excerpt from the Islamic Hadith during a TV show proved catastrophic for her political career and mental peace after AltNews co-founder Mohammed Zubair dog-whistled about her comments to Islamists.

This set off a series of incidents that culminated into a constant barrage of threats at Sharma and attacks on those who dared to speak out in her support, many of which turned out to be extremely brutal.

In the last few months, rabid Islamists, who have been using Nupur Sharma just as an excuse to show muscle power and challenge state forces, have brutally executed, attacked and threatened a number of people for voicing their support for the former BJP leader on social media.

Recently, OpIndia chronicled several such incidents where rabid Islamists either went on to brutally kill, threaten or assault Hindus who voiced their support for Nupur Sharma.

After saying ‘don’t like, don’t watch’, Kareena Kapoor follows Aamir Khan’s footsteps, pleads not to boycott Laal Singh Chaddha: Here is what she said

After previously stating that those who are not interested should not see movies, actress Kareena Kapoor Khan has reversed her position, begging that people not boycott her latest film, Laal Singh Chaddha. Kareena Kapoor stated in a recent interview with RJ Siddharth Kannan, “They should not boycott this film, it’s such a beautiful film. And I want people to see me and Aamir.”

When RJ Siddharth Kannan questioned Kareena about her previous comment, in which she remarked “if you don’t like it, don’t watch it,” was offensive to the public or if she was disrespecting the audience, she said, “I think it’s only a section of people that are trolling. But genuinely, I think that the love the film is getting is very different. These are just a section of people who are probably on your social media, which is probably like 1%.”

Urging people not to boycott the film, she further said, “But the fact is that they shouldn’t boycott this film, it’s such a beautiful film. And I want people to see me and Aamir on screen. It’s been three years, we’ve waited so long. So, please don’t boycott this film, because it’s actually like boycotting good cinema. And people have worked so hard on it; we’ve had 250 people work on this film for two-and-a-half years.”

It is notable that these remarks from Kareena Kapoor come after the utterly disappointing beginning of her latest film Laal Singh Chaddha and widespread calls to boycott the movie. Several social media users have pointed out the U-turn taken by Kareena Kapoor Khan referring to the remarks she made in 2020 saying that people who don’t want to watch films should not watch as nobody is convincing them. Twitter user Amit Kumar shared the clips of both her remarks in a tweet.

It is pertinent to mention that back in 2020, Kareena Kapoor stated during the nepotism debate that it is the people who have made the stars and that nobody is forcing people to go and watch movies. She then said, “The audience has made us, no one else has made us. Same people pointing fingers are the ones who have made these nepotistic stars right? Aap Jaa Rahe Ho Na Film Dekhne? Mat Jao. Nobody has forced you. So I don’t understand it. I find this whole discussion is completely weird.”

Due to Aamir Khan’s previously troublesome utterances, Aamir Khan’s film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ has been mired in controversy. The film’s opening weekend box office was dismal, as demands for a boycott appear to have worked against it. Amidst the boycott calls for the film Aamir Khan himself indicated that he was apologetic if he had offended anyone, however, nobody seems to be buying the victim card now being peddled by the actors.

Pakistan: 62-year-old Ahmadi Muslim stabbed to death for refusing to chant ‘Labbaik ya Rasool Allah’, supporter of Tehrik-e-Labbaik arrested

On Friday, an Ahmadi Muslim man named Naseer Ahmad was stabbed to death for refusing to chant the Islamist slogans in the eastern town of Rabwah, Pakistan. The accused has been identified as Shehzad Rizvi who approached Ahmad and asked him to chant ‘Labbaik ya Rasool Allah’ and ‘Khadim Hussain Rizvi zindabad’. On refusing, Rizvi killed the Ahmadi, the Police confirmed. The accused is a Tehrik-e-Labbaik supporter, a party founded by Islamist Khadim Hussain Rizvi. In April 2021, Imran Khan banned the Islamist party, however, it was unbanned in November 2021.

According to the reports, the Police immediately arrested the accused on the spot and started the investigation into the case. Members of the long-persecuted Ahmadi minority, who view themselves as an Islamic movement, experience prejudice and violence in Pakistan because their ideology is accused of insulting Islam.

Saleem ud Din, the spokesperson of the Ahmadi community confirmed that the deceased was an Ahmadi Muslim. “The accused asked him to raise the slogans of an Islamist party. On refusal, he repeatedly stabbed and killed him on spot”, he said. He added that Ahmad was an active member of the Ahmadi community and was standing at a bus stop when the incident happened.

Reportedly, after killing the 62-year-old Ahmadi man, the accused raised slogans and said, “kill the one who insults the Prophet”, the video of which went viral over social media.

Meanwhile, the Chiniot district police who are investigating the case said that the motive of the murder is suspected to be the deceased’s refusal to raise the Islamist slogans but it is not yet confirmed. “We are investigating the motive behind the murder, (the suspect’s) links to any Islamist party have not been found yet”, he added.

Reports mention that Ahmadis, a community that arose in British-controlled India in the nineteenth century, are considered heretical by orthodox Muslims and are prohibited from calling themselves Muslims or using Islamic emblems in their religious ceremonies in Pakistan.

Earlier, a similar incident had happened in May in Okra district when Abdul Salam aged 33 who was also a member of the Ahmadi community was stabbed by a seminary student. Several rights groups for years have expressed concerns regarding the persecution of Ahmadis in Pakistan. They say that the Pakistan government has done nothing to date to protect the minority citizens.

Delhi-based lawyer files complaint against Aamir Khan for disrespecting Indian Army in Laal Singh Chaddha, hurting sentiments of Hindus: Details

Aamir Khan movie ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ has been embroiled in controversies owing to the actor’s past problematic statements. The opening collection of the movie was abysmal as the calls for a boycott seem to have worked against the movie. However, even after its release, it was pointed out that certain scenes in the movie insulted the religious feelings of Hindus and the Indian Army. According to the latest reports, a complaint has been lodged against Aamir Khan on Friday.

A lawyer in Delhi, Vineet Jindal, has filed a complaint with Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora, alleging that Aamir’s portrayal of Laal Singh Chaddha has insulted Indian Army personnel. Vineet also said in his complaint that a sequence in the film offends the religious emotions of a specific community.

As per ANI, the complaint reads, “In the movie, the makers have depicted that a mentally challenged person was allowed to join Army to fight in the Kargil War. It is a well-known fact that the best army personnel were sent to fight the Kargil war and rigorously trained army personnel fought the war but the movie makers intentionally depicted the said situation to demoralise and defame the Indian army.”

Jindal further complained that the film offended religious sensibilities with a scene in which a Pakistani official asks Aamir’s Laal to pray, but he refuses, claiming that “all this Puja Paath is malaria. It sparks riots.” Jindal says, “This statement shows his intent of waging war and activating enmity between different groups on the grounds of religion which is against the ideology of a secular democratic country like and also mischief against Indian army which is a criminal offence as per the law of the land.”

Aamir Khan, one of the movie’s producers, Paramount Pictures, and director Advait Chandan were all named parties in the complaint. Vineet Jindal sought an FIR against the involved people under sections 153 (wantonly giving provocation with intent to cause riot), 153A (promoting enmity between different groups), 298 (wounding the religious sentiments of any person), and 505 (statements conducing to public mischief) of the IPC.

It’s worth noting that boycott calls against Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha have stymied the promotion of the big-budget adaptation of Tom Hanks’ classic Forrest Gump. Aamir Khan’s anti-India remarks in the past, his unfavourable and disparaging representation of Hindu Gods in his film PK, and his blatantly political pronouncements in the past have all contributed to the audience’s rejection.

On its debut day, August 11, 2022, the movie performed horribly at the box office. Because of the low turnout and cancelled shows on the first day, the exhibitors have chosen to reduce the film’s 1300 showtimes on Friday, August 12th, 2022, when the official weekend begins.

Salman Rushdie may lose one eye, stabbed in the neck and liver, one Hadi Matar arrested for the attack: What we know so far

Hours after Salman Rushdie was brutally stabbed at Chautauqua Institution in the United States, the novelist’s agent Andrew Wylie informed that he is still in a critical state. While speaking to the New York Times, Wylie informed that Rushdie was being put on ventilator support and that he could not speak. “The news is not good. Salman will likely lose one eye; the nerves in his arm were severed, and his liver was stabbed and damaged,” he lamented.

The author of ‘The Satanic Verses’ was reportedly provided immediate medical attention by an audience member by the name of Rita Landman. She had earlier informed that Salman Rushdie received multiple stab wounds, one to his neck and another to his abdomen.

The endocrinologist added that the renowned novelist was not receiving CPR, even though he appeared to be alive. Following initial treatment on stage, Salman Rushie was rushed to a local trauma centre.

Identification of the accused

The man involved in the stabbing of Salman Rushdie was identified as 24-year-old Hadi Matar. A resident of Fairview in New Jersey, Hadi jumped onto the stage and attacked Salman Rushdie with a knife.

The accused reportedly had a pass for the event where Rushdie was invited to deliver a lecture. The police informed that the nationality and motive behind the ghastly incident are yet to be ascertained.

The authorities had also seized a backpack, belonging to the accused, from the crime scene. They claimed that the attacker might have been alone and have launched a probe to determine whether that’s the case.

As per a report by New York Times, the local police have sought help from the Federal Bureau of Investigation for determining the background and motives of Hadi Matar. On Friday (August 12), Salman Rushdie was stabbed during an event at the Chautauqua Institution in western New York.

As per eyewitnesses, a man stormed the stage and begin punching and stabbing Rushdie when he was being introduced. The author fell down on the floor, and the assailant was restrained.

Rushdie came into the limelight after his book “The Satanic Verses” was banned in 1988 by a host of countries, including India which was then governed by Rajiv Gandhi, over content that Muslims considered “blasphemous”. A year later, Iran’s Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini issued a fatwa, calling for Rushdie’s death.

A bounty of $3 million was offered to anyone who kills Rushdie after Islamists around the world targeted him for his book “The Satanic Verses”, which they said was blasphemous against Islam.

Laal Singh Chaddha, Raksha Bandhan set to do worse than opening day as they see massive drop on Day 2: Details of estimated collection

Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha tanked at the box office with its opening day collection being abysmal. Akshay Kumar starrer Raksha Bandhan also did terribly at the Box Office, even worse than Laal Singh Chaddha, with the collection on day 1 being in the range of Rs 7-8 crores. The estimated Box Office collection for both movies on day 2 is now out and it seems that both the movies have seen a massive slide from the already low collection on day 1.

While on day 1, Laal Singh Chaddha 10-11 crores, it has seen a massive 35-40% drop on day 2 with the estimated collection being in the range of Rs 6-7 crores. At the end of day 2, the movie is estimated to collect Rs 18-19 crores in total. To give some perspective, experts believe that an Aamir Khan starrer movie like Laal Singh Chaddha should have had a collection of Rs 30 crores on day 1, however, the boycott trend against the movie seems to have dented its commercial success.

Raksha Bandhan, on the other hand, is all set to see a 30% drop, collecting Rs 5-6 crores on day 2. After day 2, the Akshay Khan starrer is set to collect a total of Rs 13 to 14 crores.

Interestingly the day 2 drop seems to be far more for Laal Singh Chaddha as compared to Raksha Bandhan.

Why #BoycottLaalSinghChaddha and #BoycottRakshabandhan trended

YouTuber and film enthusiast Dewansh Singh Rajput published a video review of the film on his YouTube channel in which he made some worrisome allegations against the film. Though he repeatedly acknowledged that the acting by Aamir Khan was up to the mark, Rajput pointed out that the movie had several scenes that were allegedly made to satisfy specific propaganda and were Hinduphobic.

Rajput said several scenes targetted particular religions. The movie showed 84 anti-Sikh riots, emergency, Ram Mandir, Lal Krishna Advani, Kargil war, and 26/11, and they have linked Khan’s character to it.

Rajput pointed out that LSC could not even differentiate between Indian Army personnel and Pakistan’s soldiers or terrorist, whoever that character was, and picked him the safety.

In the movie, there was a scene where LSC and that Pakistani soldier or terrorist were having a conversation. This was the point when LSC realized that that person was from Pakistan, but he continued to have a conversation with him. He further offered to do business with the Pakistani personnel in the film.

In one scene, the Pakistani personnel asked LSC, “I offer namaz and pray, Laal, why don’t you do the same?” LSC replied, “My mother said all this Puja Paath is malaria. It causes riots.”

It is notable here that boycott calls against Aamir Khan’s Lal Singh Chaddha have mired the promotion of the big-budget movie that is the official remake of Tom Hanks’s classic Forrest Gump. Aamir Khan’s anti-India statements in the past, his negative and derogatory portrayal of Hindu Gods in his movie PK and his overtly political statements of the past have all been adding to the prevailing sentiments of rejection among the audience of Hindi cinema.

Even Kareena Kapoor’s past statements of mocking the audience and participating in politically motivated campaigns have stirred negative sentiments against the movie.

As far as Raksha Bandhan is concerned, the boycott calls emanated from the Hinduphobic comments made by its writer, Kanika Dhillon. Under the guise of targeting the BJP and PM Modi, she had repeatedly attacked Hindu beliefs and religious sentiments. “Dying in the parking lot after waiting for a hospital bed…Yeh aache din hai! India super power hai! Aur gau mata ka mutra peene see Covid chala jayega (These are the good days…India is a super power. And drinking cow’s urine will cure Covid-19).”

The ‘gaumutra’ jibe has often been used by Islamists and their apologists, including the Pulwama terrorist Ahmed Dhar. He killed the CRPF soldiers as he wanted to avenge those who ‘drink cow urine.’

In several of her tweets, Kanika Dhillon was seen invoking ‘Gau mata’ to take potshots at the ruling dispensation at the Centre.

“Hmm you think one day the cows of India will also be contesting elections? Since they offer more solutions- benefits and protection than our Ministers! Holy cow! Jai Gaiyaa Mayya ki!” she had tweeted.

Salman Rushdie attack: ‘The Satanic Verses’ author punched, stabbed in the neck at New York event

Author Salman Rushdie, best known for ‘The Satanic Verses‘, a book that led to death threats from Islamists around the world, particularly from Iran in the 1980s, was attacked Friday as he was about to give a lecture in western New York.

According to reports, Rushdie was attacked when he was about to give a lecture at Chautauqua Institution in New York. As per eyewitnesses, a man stormed the stage and begin punching and stabbing Rushdie when he was being introduced. The author fell down on the floor, and the assailant was restrained.

Rushdie’s condition was not immediately known. It is reported that Rushdie has been stabbed in his neck and airlifted to a hospital.

In a press release, the New York State police said they are investigating the attack against Salman Rushdie at the Chautauqua Institution in Chautauqua, NY.

“Rushdie suffered an apparent stab wound to the neck, and was transported by helicopter to an area hospital. His condition is not yet known. The interviewer suffered a minor head injury,” the statement said.

Iran has since then disassociated itself from Khomeini’s edict, but hatred against Rushdie had persisted over decades as Islamists continued to mount fatal assassination bids to suppress voices that they comsidered had committed the “unpardonable sin” of blaspheming against Islam. From Charlie Hebdo journalists to French school teacher Samuel Paty to Hindu Samaj leader Kamlesh Tiwari, and recently Kanhaiya Lal and Umesh Kolhe, have been some of the victims of the mentality that had also targeted Rushdie over his book during the 1980s and called for an attack against him.

Rushdie, however, at that time, dismissed the threat saying there was “no evidence” of people being interested in the reward to assassinate him.

Uttar Pradesh: ATS busts JeM and TTP plot to kill Nupur Sharma, arrests one Muhammad Nadeem who was given the task by the terror groups

The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) in Uttar Pradesh arrested a terrorist associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed and Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan from Saharanpur on Friday 12th August 2022. The arrested terrorist Muhammad Nadeem was in direct contact with many Pakistani terrorists associated with terror outfits Jaish-e-Mohammed and Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan. According to the ATS, Muhammad Nadeem was given the task of killing Nupur Sharma – the former spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party – for her allegedly blasphemous statement against the Prophet Muhammed.

In the interrogation of ATS, the terrorist told that he was given the task of killing Nupur Sharma by the terrorists of Pakistan’s Jaish-e-Mohammed. The ATS issued a press note saying that the agency had received information that a person living in the Kundakalan village of Gangoh police station of Saharanpur is influenced by Jaish-e-Mohammed and Tahrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). The ATS also had the information that he was preparing for a fidayeen attack anytime soon.

The ATS team has recovered several types of improvised explosive devices, a mobile phone and two SIM cards from Muhammad Nadeem. Apart from this, goods related to bomb-making have also been recovered. Saifullah – a TTP terrorist from Pakistan – had provided training material to Muhammad Nadeem through social media to prepare for the fidayeen attack. With the help of this, Nadeem was conspiring to collect all the things and attack a government building or police premises.

Nadeem told interrogators that he has been in touch with Jaish-e-Mohammed and Tahrik-e-Taliban Pakistan since 2018 through social media platforms like WhatsApp, Telegram, IMO, Facebook Messenger, and Clubhouse. These terrorists trained him in making virtual mobile numbers. These terror outfits also provided him with access to more than 30 virtual numbers and virtual social media handles.

The ATS interrogations also revealed that Muhammad Nadeem was being called to Pakistan for special training by Jaish-e-Mohammed and Tahrik-e-Taliban terrorists operating in Afghanistan and Pakistan. For this, he was planning to go to Pakistan with a visa. He also said that he was planning to take terrorist training of Jaish-e-Mohammed and also planned to go to Syria and Afghanistan via Egypt.
