Kavita Krishnan (she/her) leaves CPI(ML) posts: Here is why it was the right decision and how she can fashion herself to be India’s AOC

Going woke is better than going woke. Why do I say this? Well, The Hindu had shocking news. Kavita Krishnan (she/her) has been ‘relieved’ of her leadership role in CPI(ML). In case you didn’t know, this is one of the alphabet soup of communist parties mostly active in the North. Her sin was that she said “socialist” regimes are totalitarian. Given the high levels of liberalism and tolerance amongst our leftists, naturally, this makes her position untenable.

Kavita probably doesn’t read OpIndia but if she does, she has my kudos, congratulations and best wishes. It is the right decision and I will tell you why.

One perfectly understands and sympathises with Kavita. It is one thing to carry the red flag and shout slogans at JNU but once you are out in the real world, reality hits like a blast of hot wind as you step out of the air-conditioned room. There are bills to pay, and careers to build.

One of her comrades and fellow revolutionaries, Kanhaiya wisely signed up with the famiglia. As I said earlier, this makes total sense because if being a commie these days is all about working 24×7 for this corrupt dynasty or that, why not cut out the middleman in the Politburo and work direct?

While this is a lucrative option, firstly this may not be to everyone’s taste. Gucci and Ferragamo perfumes are nice but their shoes may not be so tasty. Plus, slots are limited and fully taken up. After all, the dynasty can only accommodate so many comrades given their own gravy train has been derailed for ten years now.

But all is not lost! The global woke ecosystem is a growth market that can be tapped! It is flush with cash and can happily play piper if you dance to the right tunes. And since Modi has reduced the dollar to 80 rupees, unlike its yearly appreciation during the dynasty years, it gets more lucrative by the day.

Kavita is clever and she has been dropping the right hints for a while now. The she/her is a clear pointer. It screams I am woke, let me in. After all, which toiling Indian worker, proletariat or dispossessed subaltern really knows or cares about she/her, zee/zim and they/them? They will be totally lost. It only makes sense if your target audience is in NY, Washington, Boston or LA.

As if that is not enough, she talks of “menstruating people” and has been busy re-tweeting a well-known Ukrainian propaganda handle. This too sends the right signal to the US wokes. After all, they have rehabilitated a man they themselves were calling corrupt and authoritarian, turned him into a war hero and have been pumping him billions in arms. So that they can fight Russia to the last Ukrainian. A cost-effective tactic that almost always works. It may be tried in India too where coolies are even cheaper to hire for tukde tukde tasks.

A fly in the ointment

But her “leadership” role in the CPI(ML) is a fly in the ointment and can be embarrassing. The loyalties expected of our comrades to “amadher Chairman” and the ideological fatherland are well known.  And it is also well known that US wokes led by Biden are now totally anti-China. Or to be more precise anti-Chincom. Remember Pelosi’s bravado in visiting Taiwan? Chip wars? Sanctions by Trump that are mostly in place well into the second year of Biden, unlike other Trump actions that are mostly reversed?

In this scenario, proudly flaunting your leadership role in a “Marxist Leninist” outfit is clearly something you can do without. It is best to adopt a lighter shade of red façade, like Arfa or Siddharth. Obviously many wokes in the US are practically commies, so they will understand with a wink and a nod. Don’t ask don’t tell is the motto. Just don’t make a song and dance of it or wear the red chip on your shoulders with pride.

Since Comrade Eleven has thrown his lot behind Putin it can be inconvenient for someone in the ‘leadership’ to support Ukraine, and this problem is solved too.

Do you agree Kavitaji’s move makes a lot more sense?

India’s AOC?

AOC has leveraged woke activism into a Tesla-fancy-dress-ball high flying lifestyle. That is highly inspiring to a lot of wannabes. India too has many.

Personally, I would recommend that Kavitaji takes this route. In fact, she is practically halfway there. If she were to ask me, this is what I will suggest.

She should float an NGO or fundraiser carefully targeting the woke market. It is a pity that the millions set aside by Soros for such noble causes are lying unused and we need forex to bring the rupee value up. Every bit helps. If she needs help, I am pretty sure Teesta or Ranaa will be more than happy to provide guidance.

Working with USAID and other such friendly, independent, anti-imperialist, pure-woke organisations with an illustrious track record in the third world, and their lecture seminar circuit is a clever move, but this can be taken even further.

Washington is overflowing with lobbies and buying woke silence and escaping their cancel culture is becoming imperative for many corporates.  If I were the CFO of Infosys or General Motors, I will happily employ a woke to do a six-month well-paid study on how to appreciate LGBTQ+ persons of colour instead of facing protests and cancellations. That market is taking off in India too.

Of course, the market is tough and competition from fellow wokes, that too of Tambram, Janeudhari and Ashrafi origins is high. After all, the market for speaking up for subalterns is practically cornered by them. But there is clearly room for one more and it is a growing market.

A questionable past and a questioning future?

Comrade Krishnan, going by the Hindu article wants to question the totalitarianism of so-called socialist regimes. In fact, one doesn’t have to travel abroad to find examples of rapist savagery, mass murders and crimes against humanity by comrades. It is in their DNA. Kavita herself has questioned them in the past – see her article for countercurrents website, thankfully still available.

In that article, Kavitaji is questioning Brinda Karat’s silence on rapes, murders and horrific violence in Nandigram, including the case of a woman “whose buttocks are hanging, having been nearly severed by a chopper”.  You see these are the defenders of Bilkis Bano’s rights.

But then she happily joined CPM and CPI in the “Grand Alliance” with Lalluji to win a few seats in Bihar. The victims of Nandigram can wait. Will this round of “questioning” be a similar farce?

But one must also pity Kavitaji. She is relatively young and we wish her a long life but if she starts questioning every communist despot and his or her crimes against humanity both present and past, I am afraid her one lifetime would not be enough. In fact, even if she were to pick at random one of the mass murderers regularly worshipped by left in India, it should keep her busy for years.

To set a more modest target, she could perhaps start questioning the fake intellectuals, pseudo historians, Bollywood divas and Carnatic singers that, through their propaganda, anti-Hindu hate  and selective silence, effectively act as enablers of Stalinist mass rapist butcher ideologies. And to make matters worse, enable dynastic dacoity in their spare time.

Will she do that? Time only can tell!

Gujarat: Police lathi-charge demonstrators at a protest rally organised by Hindu groups against a love jihad case in Banaskantha

0

On 3rd September 2022, the Gujarat police lathi-charged at a protest rally of Hindu organizations against a love jihad case that took place in Banaskantha. A youth was seriously injured in this lathi charge. The video of the incident went viral on social media and the police are seen lathi charging and running after the protesting Hindus. The incident took place in Deesa in the Banaskantha district of Gujarat.

It may be recalled that a bandh was called by Hindu organizations in Deesa today and a large number of rallies were organized. All major organizations in Deesa were in support of the bandh call today and traders also supported it. After the rally today, an application was planned to be given to the SDM, but the police lathi-charged as a crowd of thousands gathered. A youth was seriously injured in this lathi charge.

However, the injured youth was shifted to a hospital for treatment and a tight police deployment was put in place in the entire area. However, after such an action, there is a possibility of increasing resentment among the people.

A young girl in Deesa was lured into marriage by a Muslim named Ejaz Sheikh who reportedly converted the girl and her mother. The distressed father of the girl tried to commit suicide as a ransom of Rs 25 lakh was also demanded by the accused in the matter. As the incident came to light, there was anger among the people on this issue in the entire Deesa city. Hindu organizations organized a protest rally and the police lathi-charged at it.

US senators got it completely wrong: Yogi’s bulldozer is a symbol of strong action against the land mafia, not a symbol of ‘hate’

On the occasion of the country’s 76th Independence Day, Indians living in New Jersey in the United States took to the streets to celebrate India’s liberation from British rule. It was joined by hundreds of NRIs living in the USA. Local leaders from the USA also joined the India day parade. Speaker of the New Jersey General Assembly, Craig J. Coughlin, joined the Indian community on this occasion. Assemblyman for New Jersey District 18, Rob Karabinchak, also joined the Indians to celebrate Edison’s 18th India Day parade.

Among various tableaus and floats in the India Day Parade, some Indians were seen leading the Independence Day parade in New Jersey with bulldozers, with the poster of the Chief Minister of one of the states of India – Yogi Adityanath, with a banner ‘Baba Ka Bulldozer’ (Baba’s Bulldozer as Yogi Adityanath is also fondly called ‘Baba’ by his supporters). But Islamist organisation Indian American Muslim Council (IAMC) took this opportunity to further their usual anti-India agenda and tried to spin a narrative and tweeted, “Hindu right-wing in Edison, New Jersey marched with bulldozers, which have become a weapon in the hands of the BJP government to destroy Muslim homes and livelihoods.”

Unfortunately, two USA senators Bob Menendez and Cory Booker also bought into IAMC’s biased narrative and issued statements in their support. Unaware of the truth, Edison’s Indian American Mayor Sam Joshi also started singing IAMC’s tune. As a biographer of Yogi Adityanath and someone who tracks Uttar Pradesh very closely, let me put the record straight.

Under Yogi Adityanath’s rule in Uttar Pradesh, a bulldozer has emerged as a symbol of strong action against the land mafia, which was rampant before he took over as the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh. Before Yogi Adityanath land mafia was hand in glove with the political leaders and enjoyed the economic benefits of the illegal lands. Yogi’s government did not discriminate before taking action against any land mafia by his or her caste, creed, religion or colour.

If dreaded criminals Mukhtar Ansari and Ateeq Ahmed’s properties were bulldozed then the properties of Vikas Dubey and Vijay Mishra were also bulldozed and confiscated. In the last 5.5 years under Yogi Adityanath’s government illegally encroached land worth Rs 3,954 Crore is being recovered by the government. Out of the top 62 noted land mafias, from which a large chunk of the illegal properties was confiscated by the government, only 12, that is 19.3% are from the Muslim community.

In fact by supporting IAMC’s stand USA senators Bob Menendez, Cory Booker, Mayor Sam Joshi and others are standing with the vicious land mafia, who have illegally grabbed government land and land of the poor farmers over years in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Finally, action is being taken against the land mafia and I am sure after knowing the truth, USA lawmakers will stand with the government and not with the land mafia.

In my book tour across the United State of America for my book ‘The Monk Who transformed Uttar Pradesh’, I presented to thousands of NRIs, how Yogi Adityanath drastically improved the law and order situation in the state of Uttar Pradesh and bulldozed the illegal structures on illegal lands has become the symbol of law and order in Uttar Pradesh. My previous book on Yogi Adityanath, ‘The Monk Who Became Chief Minister’, is available in the libraries of the USA Congress, in Harvard’s library, in Stanford’s library, in New York’s Public library and I highly recommend members of IAMC to get a copy and read the truth.

In July of 2021, one of the most decorated ex-Director General of Police (DGP) of Uttar Pradesh tweeted and compared Yogi Adityanath’s governance with Lee Kuan Yew, founder of modern Singapore

“In UP, Mafia property worth Rs 1,574 crore has been confiscated. Yogi is emerging as UP’s Lee Kuan Yew.”

Let’s know more about Indian American Muslim Council (IAMC), which is peddling this anti-India narrative. As per many media reports, The Indian American Muslim Council is a radical Islamist group that has alleged links with banned terror organizations such as the Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) and has a long history of lobbying against India. IAMC claims to be the “largest advocacy organization of Indian Muslims in the US” and often advocates for Sharia courts and peddles misinformation against India. This allegedly Jamat-e-Islami linked Indian American Muslim Council (IAMC) in the past have given cash prizes to ‘journalists’ from Wire, Newslaundry, Scroll Caravan etc for peddling IAMC’s anti-India narrative. In the past, India’s then foreign ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi commented on IAMC that the track record of IAMC is biased and politically motivated.

Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar, Naseeruddin Shah are sleeper cell members of Tukde-Tukde Gang: MP Home Minister Narottam Mishra

Madhya Pradesh home minister and Bharatiya Janata Party leader Dr Narottam Mishra has remarked that Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar and Naseeruddin Shah are the sleeper cells of the Tukde-Tukde gang. Mishra stated that the two actors and the lyricist were selectively outspoken about problems in states where the BJP was in power.

“The case is..this Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar and Naseeruddin Shah are sleeper cells of the Tukde Tukde gang,” Narottam Mishra said. “They did not say anything about the beheading of Kanhaiya Lal in Rajasthan. In Jharkhand, our daughter has been set on fire. But did they say anything? Only when something happens in BJP-ruled states, they issue statements,” he added.

“It is when something happens in BJP-ruled states that Naseeruddin Shah gets scared to stay in this country. Then there is this award-wapsi gang who will become active and scream their lungs out. How can they claim to be secular? Now everyone knows the truth of these persons,” he further added.

Mishra’s remarks follow Shabana Azmi’s tearful admission in an interview that she was speechless in response to the silence that followed the court’s decision to free the Bilkis Bano gangrape convicts. Azmi recently participated in a demonstration against the release of the 11 convicts from the Bilkis Bano case with women’s organisations and students.

Dr Narottam Mishra has long been a critic of Bollywood and its actors. Mishra recently slammed Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor for his comments about the boycott of Bollywood films. Mishra described Arjun Kapoor as a “flop and frustrated actor,” advising him to focus on his acting abilities rather than supporting the “Tukde Tukde Gang.”

“Now if a flop actor threatens the public, I do not believe it is right. I think it will be better if instead of threatening the public, he focuses on his acting. I have a question for him. Does he or those who are supporters of the Tukde-Tukde gang have the courage to make a film on another religion? Can they use abusive language for any other religion and demean the gods of any other religion? You do this all with the Sanatan Dharma and threaten the people when they boycott your films. Wait, Arjun Ji. Now the public has become aware,” he said.

Former Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Hafeez whines about Indian team’s popularity, says they are “laadlas” of world cricket because they make more money

0

Former Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez has said that the Indian Cricket Team is liked by others in the world of cricket only because they generate the most money, and not because of their cricket. He made these remarks on a PTV show where he was appearing as a cricket expert.

When the anchor of the PTV show asked Hafeez if Indian players are ‘Laadlas’ because they play well or they make more money, Hafeez said that it is only because they generate more revenue.

The former Pakistan captain, who retired from cricket earlier this year, said, “I don’t know a lot, but I definitely know that in our society, whoever is the earner is loved by everyone, is the most ‘laadla’ (pampered), gets the most kisses from everyone.”

Hafeez further added, “India is a revenue-making country. So even in bilateral series across the world, where they get sponsorship, they get a jackpot, it’s hard to deny these things.”

After the show, Hafeez shared the clip of his comments on social media as well to emphasise his point.

Earlier during the ongoing Asia Cup in UAE, Mohammad Hafeez had called Indian captain Rohit Sharma  ‘weak, afraid and confused’. Hafeez claimed that Rohit looked weak and afraid when he came out for the toss against Pakistan and that his body language was not good.

Hafeez said, “You see Rohit Sharma’s expression after winning the match. This expression happened after India won by 40 runs. I had talked about Rohit Sharma’s body language, when he came out to toss, he looked weak, he seemed afraid and confused. I am not being able to see Rohit Sharma, whom I have observed during matches playing incredible innings. I think captaincy is putting a lot of pressure on Rohit. He is facing a lot of difficulties.”

India won that match against Pakistan by 5 wickets, and the two rivals are set to face each other again on Sunday.

‘Take payment from them, we don’t have money’: AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal tells Gujarat BJP workers to work for him ‘from inside’

With the aim to expand its political influence in Gurajat where elections are slated to be held at the end of this year, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday asked Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers in the state to join his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) while continuing to be with the ruling party.

Addressing a press conference in Rajkot on the final day of his two-day visit to poll-bound Gujarat, Kejriwal said that the BJP workers should continue to get “payment” from BJP but work for AAP “from inside.”

He assured that the BJP workers would benefit from all the “guarantees” promised by him to the people when his party comes to power in the state.

“You (BJP workers) can stay in that party but work for AAP. Many of them get paid (by BJP), so take the payment from there but work for us, because we do not have money,” said the AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal.

“We do not want BJP leaders. The BJP can keep its leaders. BJP’s ‘panna pramukhs’, workers in villages, booths and talukas are joining us in droves. I would like to ask them what the BJP gave them in return for their service in the party even after so many years?” the AAP national convener asked.

Kejriwal added that the BJP does not provide free and high-quality education, healthcare, or power to BJP employees and their families, but the AAP will look after their needs.

“When we form a government, we will provide free electricity, and this will apply to your houses as well. We will provide you with free, 24-hour power, and build good schools for your children where they will get free education. We will ensure free and quality treatment for your family members and offer Rs 1,000 to women (as allowance) in your family,” he said.

While urging the Gujarat BJP workers to work for him, the AAP chief told them that there was no point in staying in the BJP and ensuring its victory again after 27 years of rule.

“I would like to tell all the BJP workers to stay there but work for the AAP. You are smart, work for AAP from the inside,” he further said.

While the AAP supremo is trying to woo the BJP workers in Gujarat, reports emerged that 13 out of 19 leaders who were given the ticket for upcoming elections have decided to quit the party. As per sources privy to the development, the decision came after speculation started doing the round that Medha Patkar will likely be the chief minister candidate for AAP in Gujarat. Kejriwal was likely to hold a meeting on Friday evening to pacify them.

Legislative Assembly elections are speculated to be held in Gujarat in December 2022 to elect 182 members of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly. The schedule will be released by the Election Commission of India before the election.

Gujarat AAP chief Gopal Italia uses derogatory language against state BJP chief CR Paatil and Minister Harsh Sanghavi, booked

On Saturday, the Gujarat Police registered an FIR against Aam Aadmi Party’s Gujarat unit President Gopal Italia for defaming BJP leaders and also inducing people to commit an offence against the state or public tranquillity. The FIR was registered by Gujarat Police at Umra Police Station in Surat.

According to the reports, AAP’s Gujarat Chief also used derogatory language against Gujarat BJP chief CR Paatil and Minister Harsh Sanghavi during a rally that was conducted ahead of Gujarat Assembly Elections 2022. The FIR has been registered under sections 469, 500 (punishment for defamation), 504, 505(1) B of the IPC.

Reportedly, the FIR was filed by the Gujarat Police based on the complaint registered by a citizen named Pratap Chodvadiya. In his complaint against Italia, Chodvadiya stated that the AAP chief intentionally insulted the BJP leaders. “He (Italia) called BJP the party of goons and incited the public by stating that AAP would take revenge for each blood drop”, the complaint read.

According to the complaint, the AAP Gujarat chief called BJP leader CR Paatil ‘former bootlegger’ and Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi ‘Drugs Sanghvi’. The case will be investigated by inspector AH Rajput of the Crime Branch Gujarat Police.

Meanwhile, reacting to the complaint, AAP Gujarat Chief Gopal Italia said, “They will file a complaint against me, but will not take action against drugs landers, and drugs mafias, such FIRs will not frighten me and I will not succumb to pressure”.

Earlier in July, 2021 a similar FIR was filed by Gujarat Police against Italia for his infamous remarks on the Hindu community and rituals. The FIR then was filed based on the complaint by a member of Hindu IT Cell. The complaint highlighted Italia’s remarks where he had said on record, “I am ashamed of such people (referring to people who attend satsangs). It angers me. If you don’t like what I said block me. We don’t need those who clap like hijras in name of rituals and culture. Some Sadhu will speak nonsense from the stage and we have to clap like hijras?”

Legislative Assembly elections are speculated to be held in Gujarat in December 2022 to elect 182 members of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly. The schedule will be released by the Election Commission of India before the election.

Ahead of Brahmastra’s release, Karan Johar’s arrogance takes a hit, ‘urges’ people not to divide Indian cinema into sub-categories

Producer-Director Karan Johar’s highly ambitious film Brahmastra is set for release on September 9, 2022. Ahead of the release of one of the most anticipated films from his production house, Karan Johar has ‘urged’ the public not to divide Indian cinema into sub-categories and instead start treating it as one industry.

Speaking at a press event to promote Brahmastra in Hyderabad, the filmmaker said, “We, in our own tiny way, are trying to reach every corner (of the country with our film). Like SS Rajamouli sir said, this is Indian cinema. Let’s not call it anything else. We keep giving it a wood… Bollywood, Tollywood. We are not in the woods anymore, we are out of them. We are proudly part of Indian cinema. Each and every film will be now from Indian cinema.”

Interestingly, Johar’s ‘humble’ request came at a time when his yet-to-be-released movie, starring Bollywood biggies like Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and even Shah Rukh Khan as guest appearance, and others, has been facing boycott calls. In fact, the Dharma Productions film has been the butt of jokes, ever since the release of its trailer.

Karan Johar, who is considered to be extremely arrogant in Bollywood circles, had recently reacted to the boycott call for his movie by calling the “Boycott gang” a “group of trolls”. He had arrogantly asked people not to watch the film if they didn’t wish to.

A video of Karan Johar engaging with the media personnel had gone viral on social media, wherein, when asked about the current boycott trend, he said that the “Boycott gang is a group of trolls and I don’t take them seriously. I don’t care if they don’t watch my film. I am not forcing them to watch my films.”

Karan Johar’s Brahmastra faces boycott calls

However, his movie Brahmastra came under attack even prior to his statement, after its lead actress Alia Bhatt also told people that they were under no compulsion to watch her movie. Besides, a video of actor Ranbir Kapoor, who is playing the protagonist in the movie, surfaced where he said he was a beef-eating foodie. This too attracted a lot of criticism. To add fuel to the fire, the Hinduphobic tweets of Dharma Productions’ Development Executive Shreemi Verma also went viral on social media.

With the screenshots of her anti-Hindu tweets, netizens started to post on Twitter that she is associated with Dharma Productions, and linked to the upcoming movie Brahmastra. Netizens called for a boycott of the movie for its association with such a Hinduphobic person. She eventually deactivated her account to control the backlash of her remarks.

Karan Johar and his tantrums

Karan Johar is no stranger to controversies. From accusations of encouraging misogyny to plagiarism and copyright infringement, to being embroiled in a drug controversy to being dubbed as the flag-bearer of nepotism, the filmmaker has seen it all.

It may be recalled that in 2020 when the NCB turned its attention to Karan Johar in response to a complaint filed by Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) President and Akali Dal leader Manjinder Singh Sira alleging that at a party hosted by Karan Johar in 2019, drugs and other narcotic substances were consumed by the attendees, the producer-director issued a statement calling reports of drug consumption at his party ‘misleading’ and ‘wrong’. He also claimed that the spotlight on him and his production house was part of a ‘malicious campaign’.

Karan Johar, following nationwide uproar after the death of Sushant Singh Rajput and immense backlash against Bollywood’s insiders, had also unfollowed many people on Twitter, including close celebrity friends and star kids, like Alia Bhatt and Twinkle Khanna.

In 2020, Karan Johar’s 2017 clip asking Kangana Ranaut to ‘leave the industry’ had also gone viral drawing sharp reactions from Netizens. The netizens reacted based on the excerpt of the interview and slammed Johar for his attitude toward an accomplished actor. They said that he does not have the right to tell anyone to leave the industry and insult them on an international platform.

The Dharma Production owner had also drawn flak when he remarked that he felt if ‘KGF 2’ was made in Bollywood, critics would have ‘lynched’ them.

Karan Johar in his autobiography, ‘An Unsuitable Boy’ wrote that as a kid he used to find Hindi speaking “downmarket and uncool”. He even mentioned that he used to stay away from Aditya Chopra and his friends because they all used to speak Hindi.

Assam: Another madrasa with suspected terror links under the scanner, two teachers flee after locals express doubt about their identity

0

As Assam’s state government is waging a crackdown on suspicious madrasas in the state that have ties to banned Islamic terrorist organisations, another madrasa has come under scrutiny with alleged ties to the Bangladeshi terrorist organisation Ansar-ul-Bangla or Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT). After the demolition of three madrassas in recent weeks, a madrasa in the Goalpura district in Assam is now under the scanner.

The Dargar Alga Madrassa located at Pakhiura Char has been identified by the police for possible terror links, and it could be demolished by the administration. Recently the founder of the Madrasa, Imam Jalaluddin, and two more persons were arrested by police for suspected terror links. Police had found that Jalaluddin had recruited suspected Bangladeshi Jihadis as teachers, and two of them are now absconding.

The teachers had claimed that they are from West Bengal, but local people had doubts about their identities and had asked them to submit their identity documents. But two teachers, Jahangir Alam and Aminul Islam, fled from the area in the night fearing arrest. Locals informed the police about the incident and the police raided the madrasa on August 24, where several incriminating documents were recovered. Police arrested three persons, Madrasa founder Jalaluddin Sheikh, one person Abdus Subahan and another person who has not been named.

Both of the teachers who fled had stayed in a house attached to the madrasa for around 1.5 years. According to police, illegal Bangladeshi immigrants with links to the terrorist group Ansal-ul-Bangla used to live in the house attached to the Madrasa. During the raid of the madrasa by police on 24th August, a photo of a deceased individual and a poster were uncovered. The police have also obtained a huge cache of Ansar-ul-Bangla terror module literature from this location.

The administration had planned to demolish the madrasa yesterday itself, but the drive was cancelled due to some reasons and the district administration said that the demolition has been temporarily suspended. The madrasa is located at a very remote location.

Local authorities in Bongaigaon razed a madrasa with ties to terrorist organisations Al-Qaeda Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) and Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT) on August 31. On August 30, a search operation was undertaken at the same madrasa to investigate certain linkages with one of the 37 persons detained for terrorist links with AQIS/ABT in Assam, including imams and madrasa teachers.

On Monday, August 29, the district administration and police in the Barpeta district in Assam demolished a Madarsa, run by Maulvis Akbar Ali and his brother Abul Kalam Azad, arrested for their links with Bangladesh-based terror outfit Al-Qaeda Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) and Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT).

The madrasa, Shaikhul Hind Mahmudul Hasan Jamiul Huda Islamic Academy, was located in Dhakaliapara, Assam’s Barpeta district, and is alleged to have been built unlawfully on public land. The police also detained the madrasa’s principal, Mahmunur Rashid. The madrasa hosted Bangladeshi terrorist Md Suman alias Saiful Islam, who was apprehended by Assam police in March. According to reports, Md. Suman stayed here with one of his aides.

UP: Pieces of meat thrown inside temple compound in Shamli district, police hints at sinister plot to disrupt communal harmony

Unidentified persons threw pieces of meat in the compound of a temple in Sikka village of the Shamli district in Uttar Pradesh, sparking tensions in the region. The incident came to light at around 5 am on Friday morning when a woman entered the temple to offer prayers.

According to reports, dollops of meat were hurled at 11 places around Bhumiya Kheda in Sikka village in what appeared as a deliberate attempt to vitiate communal harmony in the region. Officials of the local administration and police reached the spot and ensured that the pieces of meat were removed from the temple premises and the compound was cleaned.

Anger and resentment swept the region as outraged people hit the streets protesting against the desecration of the temple and demanding the arrest of the miscreants responsible for it.

The incident came in the wake of an annual festival that included Havan Yagya and other assorted religious rituals organised in the temple. Every year, the villagers celebrate the festival with great pomp. This year too, elaborate preparations were made to celebrate the festival and perform rituals marking the festivities.

However, on Thursday night, anti-social elements scattered pieces of meat at 11 places around Bhumiya Kheda to spoil the communal atmosphere. Apart from this, pieces of meat were also thrown on the main road of Bhumiya Kheda.

No sooner did the woman discover pieces of meat strewn inside the revered temple compound, than she informed the temple authorities, who in turn called the police. ASP OP Singh along with Adarsh Mandi police station, CO City Jitendra Kumar reached the spot along with the police force to investigate the incident. Pieces of meat were removed from the temple compound and a police team was deployed to keep the situation under control.

An investigation has also been launched into the matter. The police have taken a sample of meat for investigation. The ASP said that the incident is being seriously investigated. Strict action will be taken against the culprits. When probed about similar incidents of desecration of temples in Kairana, the police official said that the pattern emerging from such incidents does point to a systematic attempt to disrupt communal harmony in the state.

The police have also sought the help of the intelligence department to nab the culprits who tried to disturb the communal harmony in the region by throwing pieces of meat inside the temple compound. Village head Siyaram Sharma told media that there was a program of havan in Bhumiya Kheda scheduled for Saturday.
