Adani Logistics Ltd has decided to shut its inland container depot (ICD) at Kilaraipur in Ludhiana after it remained blocked by farmer protesters for seven months. The company took the decision after the Punjab government failed to remove the blockade despite a high court order. This decision has meant that around 400 people will lose their jobs, and around 1000 more people will be impacted who were associated with the facility indirectly.
Spread over 80 acres, the Multi-Model Logistics Park was set up by the Adani Group in 2017 to facilitate the industries in and around Ludhiana by providing them services of import and export of cargo through rail and road. The logistics park also has a rail link for this purpose.
But the park has to be kept closed as its main gate was blocked by the anti-farm law protesters in January this year. Apart from sitting on a protest outside the main gate, the protesters also parked a tractor-trailer in front of the gate, preventing the movement of vehicles through the gate. The protesters are also not allowing the employees of the facility to enter the premises.
After registering complaints with the police and approaching the state government had yielded no result, the Adani group had filed a writ petition at the Punjab and Haryana High Court in March 2021 seeking directions to the state authorities to vacate the blockade. The High Court had instructed the state govt to resolve the issue and to file status reports, but didn’t issue any direct order to remove the blockades.
After waiting for seven months, the company finally decided that it can no longer keep paying salaries and other expenses for a shut facility with no assurance on when it can be re-opened. The company said that it can no longer sustain losses on the facility, and informed that it is closing the Multi-Modal Logistics Park.
“As the state administration was not able to remove the blockade and allow the ICD to continue operations, the Adani Group has decided to close the business operation at ICD Kilaraipur as it cannot sustain losses and continue to pay wages to employees any longer,” a source in the company said. “Owing to the blockade, the ICD business has come to a complete standstill. Despite this, the Group has continuously paid full wages to its staff and payments to vendors in the hope that the High Court and the State of Punjab will take action for removal of the blockade,” the source added.
According to reports, the company has already removed its signage from the main gate of the facility, and has issued termination notices to the employees.
Apart from the loss of jobs, the closure of the logistics depot will also incur a loss to the exchequer in the form of Railway Haulage, GST, Customs Duties and other taxes to the tune of ₹700 Crores. It is further estimated that the overall impact on the economy will be around ₹7,000 crore after the closure.
It is notable that ever since the farmer protests began, the protesters are also trying to harm the businesses run by industrialists Gautam Adani and Mukesh Ambani. As the Congress believes these two industrialists to be closer to PM Narendra Modi, the ‘farmers’ have chosen to target them, revealing the political nature of the protests.
Adani Group purchases land in Noida for data centre
Interestingly, just a day before Adani Logistics Ltd decided to shut its Ludhiana logistics park due to the blockade by the protesters, Adani Enterprises had purchased a plot of land in Noida, UP, to set up a data centre. The company was allotted over 34,000 square metre land by the Noida Authority on Wednesday, where the company will invest around ₹2400 crore for the upcoming data centre.
The company said that it has procured land in Noida to establish “one of the largest data centres” in the country. A Noida authority official said that the project would generate 1,350 employment opportunities and fetch a revenue of ₹103.41 crore to the Authority. Adani Enterprises said its position as the largest renewable power player in the country, as well as its access to several undersea cables across the coastline through their port locations, puts it in a strong position in the data centre market.
Earlier this year, Adani Group had formed a joint venture with US-based EdgeConneX to build hyper-scale data centre parks in the six cities. The two companies have formed a 50:50 joint venture company named AdaniConneX JV. The company plans to build data centres in Chennai, Navi Mumbai, Noida, Vizag and Hyderabad.
The Uttar Pradesh Government has declared that no procession should be allowed on the occasion of Muharram in light of the Covid-19 pandemic. Muharram is celebrated by the Shia Muslim community.

The Directorate General of Police in the state has issued guidelines declaring that people will not be permitted to gather and conduct mourning processions. Police across all districts have been instructed to take clerics, peace committees and other community leaders into confidence and ensure that Covid-19 norms are not flouted.
The Police has also been instructed to maintain a strict vigil across the state, especially in areas where disputes have been reported in the past.
Meanwhile, the administration in Jammu and Kashmir has decided to permit a procession in Lal Chowk after three decades. However, prominent Shia leader Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi has raised questions regarding the motivation behind the permission.
“There is list of decisions-taken in circulation, in which, if my reading of this order is correct, the administration has decided to allow the 10th Moharram procession from Abiguzar to Lal Chowk (a temporary and alternate route proposed in 2018) after a gap of 30 years,” he said.
“Only a few days ago the IGP Kmr (Kashmir) told people to celebrate Eid ”at their homes” invoking Covid protocols. The Friday prayers at Jama Masjid have not been allowed for the last more than 100 Fridays and continue to be banned, again invoking Covid-19 protocols. The list goes on,” Mehdi added.
Mehdi claimed that the decision “raises more questions than it answers”.
Amidst an ongoing case against Raj Kundra and several others in connection to producing and publishing pornographic content, actress Zoya Rathore, one of the actresses who had worked for such platforms, has come forward to share the ordeal.
Hailing from Nagpur, Zoya shifted to Mumbai in 2004 and joined a BPO. She slowly tried to enter the industry, but according to her, was misguided by fly-by-night producers. During her struggling days, she was repeatedly asked to compromise if she needed a good break.
‘We had no option’
In her interview with Times of India, Rathore said that she is facing backlash from the people in the industry for raising her voice against it. She is getting trolled, and people are questioning her credentials. However, the reality is much different from what people are anticipating. “I came out to say why we did what we did. We had no option and were told by the makers that if we don’t do it, someone else would be ready to take that job up. I maintain that I would not want to do what is illegal, and there was no clarity on what is bold and what is porn”.
In her interviews with ABP News and India Today, she said that the situation since the pandemic reached India is bad for the industry. Zoya said that majority of the struggling actors went back to their home states, but some could not leave Mumbai and living there is expensive. In such circumstances, girls, including her, are being lured into the porn industry.
“They are not presenting the right facts. I know porn is illegal in India, and I questioned the producers multiple times that what they are asking to do sounds like porn and not erotica, but they assured me that it is all legal,” she said.
She further added that the producers who approached her gave examples of stars like Radhika Apte, who had shot for the scenes with partial nudity on large platforms like Netflix. She added, “I would turn around and tell them that they are paid in lakhs for those scenes, and here we don’t get money and are getting penalised from all sides. We are just acting and performing in those scenes”. Normally, Zoya was being offered Rs.20,000 per day for her roles in erotic films.
Rathore has appeared in several shows, including ‘Saubhagyawati Bhava’, ‘Bade Achche Lagte Hain’ and ‘Fear Files’. While talking about the producers who tried to exploit her, she said, “People misguide you, and the term ‘compromise’ is definitely used a lot. Most of the newcomers who come to Mumbai to become actors don’t know who real film producers are, and they often get conned. I came across one such person who lied to me that I had been shortlisted for a role in a film that was being headlined by Emraan Hashmi and Kangana Ranaut. The producer told me I would have one scene with Emraan but compromise Karna padega (I’ll have to compromise). At times, I was told to spend time with the producer. I did not compromise, and I was confident as an actor, so I started working in small films in which I didn’t need to compromise, although even these films had bold scenes. Those films were censored at the time when Sharmila Tagore was the CBFC chairperson and released with an ‘A’ certificate”.
Zoya’s scenes were leaked as MMS clips
Rathore talked about an incident that permanently labelled her as a porn actor. One of the producers used raw clips of her intimate scene and used them for a publicity stunt. The clips were leaked as MMS that led to the tag of the porn actor, and her life changed forever. She said, “It was a huge setback for me in real life. My personal life got affected as my fiancé got upset with me. I also went to the cyber cell to complain about it when the producer refused to accept that he had done it.”
For some time, she did not do any bold films. Currently, she is living in Vasai as a single mother. She said, “I was not getting work in mainstream movies, and most of the time we were made to sit the whole day with excuses fed to us like there’s a friendly appearance by Akshay Kumar in the film, or it’s Radhika Apte’s production, but nothing happens beyond that. I stay in Vasai and for me to travel to studios in Andheri every day is really taxing and expensive”.
Lockdown changed the lives of everyone in the industry, said Zoya Rathore
Zoya said that when the first lockdown was eased in 2020, there was high demand for bold web series. Mukesh Agarwal, a filmmaker, got in touch with her, who had known her for a long. She said, “He tracked me down and told me that I have a good body of work and I should return to work. He promised I would get good pay. Initially, I was reluctant, but after he shared some music videos, which featured girls in bikinis, I agreed to do it.”
‘Those who claimed everything is legal were the first ones to go to jail’
The work started to flow quickly after the project. She was being offered even bolder scenes in future projects. She said, “It was being produced by Yash Thakur, who apparently lives in Singapore and is not accessible to anyone. But he is the one who has made maximum bold content. I was also offered work by another company, Hothit, who offered payments depending upon what kind of boldness I showed while shooting for their film and had proper papers which stated that they would not ask me to do anything that I am not comfortable doing. They are the first ones to go to jail”.
Offer from Hotshot linked to Kundra
Zoya never met or spoke to Raj Kundra. Just days before his arrest, she was approached by Umesh Kamat from his office. Kamat claimed that he was managing HotShots. She said, “He told me that he wanted to give me a big break but with the rider that I would have to give a nude audition on a video call which I refused to do.”
She added, “I have never spoken to Raj Kundra, but Umesh Kamat was in touch with me, trying to convince me to work with Hotshot just two days before he got arrested. But there was another man named Roy who called me from Singapore and said that he wanted a nude audition. He had dropped HotShot’s name too”.
‘Boys face great exploitation’
Zoya claimed that the porn industry is even worse for men. “Boys are also exploited in this business. Those who are uncomfortable showing off their bodies lose out to those who are ready to go nude for the show. There are boys who come from theatre and are good actors and have worked in good serials. They are told that if they don’t remove their underwear and don’t show their entire back, they will not be given work. The boys are asked for normal auditions on the phone and told that regular, bold content would be shot, and the budget will be Rs 5000 per day. But once they are on set, they are told that if they are ready to perform real sex, their budget will go up to Rs 15000, and they promised that they would become big stars as the porn industry is booming. That is how they motivate them to perform real sex”.
‘I am much relaxed and happy’: Zoya Rathore
Zoya said since new rules were imposed on OTT platforms, the content is slowly getting regulated. It has put a cap on bold content as well. She said, “My payment has reduced to half of what I got paid, but I am happy to work in this new environment, and I am much relaxed now. I am happy that humein ab bikini se aage kuch nahi utarna padta hai (I am glad that we don’t have to undress beyond a bikini now)”.
The pornographic racket
In February 2021, the Property Cell of Mumbai Police arrested a few people linked to a pornographic case after they received a tip that a film was being shot at a location at Madh Island. A total of five people were arrested in the initial arrest, and six more were arrested later. Actress Gehana Vasisht, Producer Rowa Khan and her Husband were the main accused in the case. In June, all of them got bail after spending four months in Jail.
In July 2020, Actress Shilpa Shetty’s husband, Raj Kundra, was arrested in the case. It is believed that he was the mastermind behind the app hotshots. In the raid at properties related to Kundra, Police allegedly found evidence against him. Kundra is currently under judicial custody.
According to Zoya, Mumbai Police has a long list of actors who have worked in such films, and they are calling them one by one to ask them to cooperate. When India Today asked her if she was called by the Police, she denied it and said that she would cooperate if the Police call in the future.
In a big boost to the Digital India initiative, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch a futuristic digital payment solution by the name of e-RUPI on Monday (August 2) at 4:30 pm. It has been developed by the National Payments Corporation of India on its UPI platform, in collaboration with the Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, and National Health Authority.
According to the Press Information Bureau (PIB), e-RUPI is one of the several programmes launched by the Modi government to ensure leak-proof transfer of government benefits to the target users. A cashless and contactless digital payment instrument, e-RUPI is a QR code/e-Voucher that is delivered to the cell phones of beneficiaries. The voucher can then be redeemed without a card or internet banking access at the service provider. Without the need for a physical interface, e-RUPI will connect the sponsors with the beneficiaries and service providers in a digital manner.
Some of the benefits of e-RUPI are:
Cashless and contactless digital payment.
Connects service sponsors and beneficiaries digitally.
Ensures leak-proof delivery of various welfare services.
As such, payment to the service provider will only be made after a transaction is completed. Given that it is a pre-paid payment instrument, e-RUPI will ensure timely payment without the requirement for intermediaries. e-RUPI is expected to revolutionise the delivery of welfare services such as nutritional support (Mother and Child welfare schemes), TB eradication schemes, drugs and diagnostics (Ayushman Bharat), fertiliser subsidies, employee welfare in the private sector and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes.
UPI crosses ₹6 lakh crore in transaction value in July, sets new record
UPI, also known as Unified Payments Interface, crossed the 300 crore volume mark and ₹6 lac crore in transaction value for the month of July. As per the National Payments Corporation of India, a total of 324 crores UPI transactions were processed in the last month that amounted to ₹6.06 lac crore value in value. About 280 crore UPI transactions worth ₹5.47 lac crore was made for the month of June. It must be mentioned that about 9-10 crore UPI transactions are processed each day.
UPI came into existence in 2016 but crossed the 100 crore mark in terms of volume in October 2019. Despite the slow economic growth, worsened by the Coronavirus pandemic, UPI is still a popular and preferred method of digital payment. Besides UPI, Immediate Payments Service (IMPS) processed transactions worth ₹3.09 lac crore in July as compared to ₹2.84 lac crore in June. While Aadhar Enabled Payment System (AePS) transactions worth ₹ 23,447.11 crore was processed, about ₹2,976.39 crore was processed on NETC FASTag for the month of July.
Protestors again took on the roads in Paris on the 31st of July and other cities across France to protest against the strict Covid-19 protocols imposed by President Emmanuel Macron. The Police dressed in anti-riot gear had to use tear gas, smoke bombs, water cannons and batons to control the crowd.
Several videos of the protests emerged in which people were seen raising slogans against the government for the new rules imposed. Reportedly, the new ruled varied from mandatory vaccination of health workers and requirement of health passes for accessing public places. While accusing the French government of violating the freedom of people, a large group of demonstrators unleashed violence on the streets of France.
Freelance journalist Clement Lanot was present at the protest site. He published several videos showing the intensity of the protests. In one of his videos, the Police could be seen accidentally gassed a journalist from Line Press while controlling the crowd.
PARIS – Premières tension dans le cortège #AntiPassSanitaire : projectiles et gaz utilisé. Un journaliste @LinePress gazé en pleine tête.
In a video shared by Lanot, the protesters were seen pushing away Police officers. A few protesters tried to hit the Police personnel. Police vehicles were also attacked.
In other videos, protesters were seen having hand-on-hand fights with the Police personnel. They were seen throwing back the gas cans at the Police officers that were thrown on the crowd to disperse them. Water cannon was used as well to control the crowd.
The hashtag AntiPassSanitaire was making rounds on social media during the protests. In one of the drone videos shared by user ElectionWiz, hundreds of thousands of protesters were visible on the streets.

Covid-19 in France
So far, the country has reported 60.8 lakh cases. Around 1.12 Lakh people have lost their lives. Around 3.2 crore people have been vaccinated so far in France that makes 47.5% of the total population. On July 31, France reported 23,471 new cases of the coronavirus and currently, it is on the rise for the last few days.
In a major crackdown against anti-India elements and pro-Pakistan sympathisers, the Jammu and Kashmir administration has decided to strip away certain privileges and rights such as passport clearance, appointment to government jobsif found to be involved in anti-India activities.
According to the reports, the Jammu and Kashmir administration will be prohibiting passport and visa clearance to people who have a track record of participating in anti-national activities.
A circular from the SSP of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Special Branch, Kashmir, has asked all field units to ensure that all such verification be corroborated with local police. The CID has also asked officials to scrutinise digital evidence like CCTV footage and photographs before the clearance.
“It must be ensured that during verification related to passport, service, and any other verification related to government services/schemes, the subject’s involvement with law and order, stone-pelting cases and other crime prejudicial to the security of the state be specifically looked into, and the same must be corroborated with local police station records,” the order said.

The latest order comes a day after army officials had disclosed that the new modus operandi to indoctrinate and train Kashmiri youth into terrorism was to call them through proper visa channels instead of risking crossing the border illegally.
On Saturday, the army spokesperson revealed that at least 40 youths from Kashmir travelled on visas to Pakistan for studying purposes after receiving proper visas, however, they returned as hardcore terrorists. He said that out of the 40 youths who were granted visas and travelled Pakistan via Wagah, 27 infiltrated India with weapons and were killed in encounters. The others are still across the border, and a few of them are in touch with their families, the officer said.
“We are keeping a watch,” he said.
Proper scrutinisation of candidates before employing for public jobs
Earlier, the Union Territory administration had ordered proper scrutinisation of candidates before granting them a government job. The CID was asked to take digital evidence and police records of a candidate.
It is also now mandatory for a candidate to disclose whether any family member or close relative is associated with any political party or organisation, or has participated in any political activity, or has had links with a foreign mission or organisation, or any prescribed/ prohibited/ banned organisation such as the Jamaat-e-Islami.
In addition, the candidate should also disclose the details of jobs of one’s parents, spouse, children and step-children, parents-in-law, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law are also mandatory. In case of receipt of an adverse report, to be confirmed by a screening committee, the appointment to a government job will be withdrawn or terminated.
On Monday (July 26), a girl was abducted and forcibly converted to Islam by miscreants in Kanshiram Nagar in the Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh. The area falls under the jurisdiction of the Majhola police station.
As per reports, the victim hailed from a poor family. Given their financial condition, they became the target of the family of one Mehboob and Dilkhush. Their son, identified as primary accused Salman, had earlier molested the victim on several occasions. The girl’s family had even filed a complaint with the police and a case was registered in the matter. Although he refrained from his lecherous acts for some time, Salman was found molesting the girl yet again after a few days. On complaining, she was thrashed brutally by the accused and his family.
Her family was also beaten with sticks when they complained to Salman’s family about his actions. On July 26, the girl disappeared mysteriously from the house. Her family members began searching for her desperately. About three days later on July 29, one Geeta Saini told them that the girl was kidnapped by Salman and his brothers in a car. The eyewitness said that the girl was screaming in the car, and was also saying that she has been forcefully converted to Islam.
On complaining about the same to Dikhush, the girl’s family was beaten up with sticks and rods. However, they managed to save their lives. Thereafter, the family lodged a complaint at the Majhola police station against 6 people. The girl’s family also alleged that Salman’s family has been putting pressure on the victim girl to convert to Islam.
Salman harassed the victim for over a year; victim’s family alleged police inaction
The cops then registered a case against Salman, Faizan, Arshad, Sanu, Dilkush and one unidentified individual. According to the Inspector of the Majhola police station, a probe has been initiated in the case and a search has been launched to nab the accused. At the same time, the police are raiding several locations for the safe recovery of the victim. It has also come to light that the accused Salman had been harassing the victim for over a year. However, on complaining to Kanshiram Nagar police chowk, the family alleged that the cops blamed the girl and dismissed the complaint.
The incident has caused an upheaval among Hindu organisations. After learning that the victim was abducted and forcibly converted, Hindu rights activist Pranshu Joshi asked the police to ensure the speedy recovered of the kidnapped girl. He has urged the cops to take strict action against the accused. He has warned the cops of a mass agitation if they fail to ensure the safe return of the victim.

India Today employee Rajdeep Sardesai, who has an impeccable track record of asking ‘tough questions‘ to his set of hand-picked oppositions leaders, said that had he asked Mamata Banerjee about Bengal post-poll pogrom, he wouldn’t have gotten to eat ‘rasgullas’ (a traditional Bengali sweet) as part of her victory celebration. Sardesai’s remark came while he participated in a discussion hosted by Lallantop’s editor Saurabh Dwivedi on their YouTube channel today.
This particular episode of a program called Netanagri, aired on The Lallantop’s YouTube channel, was hosted to discuss Mamata Banerjee’ recent five-day visit to Delhi. Rajdeep Sardesai was one of the key invitees for the show, which also had Rahul Shrivastava, Political Editor, India Today TV, Himanshu Mishra, Deputy Editor, India Today TV and Prof. Biswanath Chakraborty on the panel of guests.
At around 6 minutes into the discussion, Sardesai was asked whether he questioned Banerjee over the post-poll violence in West Bengal in May this year. He chuckled and said, “I was not there to take her interview. I went there casually on ‘chai pe charcha’. Had I asked her about the post-poll violence I would not have gotten to eat Rusgullas”.
Rajdeep Sardesai’s submissive response came when Dwivedi asked him whether he had questioned Mamata Banerjee on the recent post-poll violence, in which her party cadres unleashed mayhem on the BJP workers and supporters in the state.
When Saurabh Dwivedi again inquires whether Sardesai questioned Mamata Banerjee about why this kind of brutality is being allowed to take place in her state or why BJP workers are being targeted by TMC workers overtly, Sardesai clarifies that he had not gone to take Mamata Banerjee’s interview but just to wish her for her victory. “Whenever I do her interview I will ask her this question”, says the India Today journalist.
At this point, Sardesai, however, does not miss out on mentioning that he had questioned Mamata Banerjee on what impact these incidents of violence would have on her image. To this Mamata retorted clearly that this was a charade that had been created by the BJP to defame her. Rajdeep Sardesai does not forget to mention that the West Bengal CM exonerated herself and her party members from the incidents of violence taking place in her state saying that BJP has been behind all such incidents.
Rajdeep Sardesai mentions that the WB CM told him that most of the violence that took place in West Bengal happened in the time period between her victory and her oath-taking ceremony. Here, Rajdeep Sardesai once again reiterates that if he only questioned her about the violence, he would have deviated from the direction of ‘chai pe charcha’ he was having as part of his courtesy visit. However, he promised that he would definitely ask these questions to Mamata Banerjee if ever he gets a chance to interview her in person.
Stan Swamy. Real name Stanislaus Lourduswamy. Many say real surname was Samy but strategically written as Swamy to show more closeness to Hindu in a Hindu majority country and a long term goal to convert Hindus.
He believed and followed the ideology/principle of the ‘Liberation theology’which talks about marxism and historical materialism in theology. Liberation theology believes in the involvement of the revolutionary political process and says ‘only eliminating private property of the wealth created by human work will we be able to lay down the bases for a more just society.’ Which, all in all means that the wealth created by hard working people should be taken over even if it means using revolutionary process and tactics.
Stan Swamy worked in Philippines, Brazil, ISI-Bangalore before moving to the tribal belt of Jharkhand. His activities varied from conducting protests, demonstrations, liberation theology to Maoism!
Human rights activist Xavier Dias said that when Swamy studied in the Philippines, there he was acquainted with a series of protests and demonstrations against the administration in the 1970s. He said Swamy, during further studies in Brussels made friends with Brazilian Catholic Archbishop Helder Camara a militant pro Nazi right. Stan Swamy befriended him and got his preaching and induction from Helder Camara –***
Helder Camara
In 1965, Swamy joined the St Xavier’s High School Lupungutu, Chaibasa, West Singhbhum in present-day Jharkhand for his regency. Regency is the stage at which trainee Jesuits (Society of Jesus) order undergo in the 3rd-4th year. Jesuit formation, or the training of Jesuits, is slightly different from catholic study. Swamy spent two years taking up one or two works of the order. In the 1970s, he went to Philippines to study theology and Masters in Sociology.
On his return to Jesuit Jamshedpur Province in 1971, Swamy became director of the Catholic Relief Services charity for the area. He was also the Director of the Jesuit-run Indian Social Institute (ISI), Bangalore from 1975 to 1986. Several publications and books written during his tenure as Director ISI reflect unjustified biased projection of the country and were directed against India. Also a banned outfit like PFI, termed an extremist Islamic organisation, is allowed to hold events and conferences in ISI campus.
In Jan 2011, Kerala Police filed a charge sheet against alleged PFI activists in conjunction with an incident in which they severed the hand of a Kerala professor, T. J. Joseph on mere religious differences. It was reported that the attack resulted from the ruling from one of the “Taliban-model” courts (Darul Khada) operating in Kerala.
In July 2010, the Kerala Police seized country-made bombs, weapons, CDs and several documents containing Taliban and Al-Qaeda propaganda, from PFI activists.
In 2012, the Kerala government informed the Kerala High Court, in an affidavit, that Popular Front of India had active involvement in 27 murder cases and that the activities of the Popular Front are inimical to the safety of the country and that it is “nothing but a resurrection of the banned outfit Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) in another form”. The High Court upheld the ban imposed by the State Government
And yet in 2019, Indian Social Institute allowed PFI to operate events from its space.
On 12th October 2019, PFI was allowed to host the “Dalit-Muslim Dialogue” at Indian Social Institute, Bangalore. The programme was attended by the leaders of Popular Front Mohammed Ali Jinnah general secretary, Popular Front, Anis Ahmed, Secretary Popular Front and many more. PFI was allowed to moderate the discussion.

140 emails were found from Stan Swamy’s id that brought forth his links with urban naxals. Swamy proposed recruiting people and giving them armed training.
As per NIA chargesheet, one of the letters written by Stan Swamy himself said, “An all-India front will not be effective. It shouldn’t just be used for propaganda against fascist forces on the ground level as it unleashed a major blitzkrieg of offensive campaigns against fascist forces. The front has to come up at village level, small town and cities, neighbourhood level in urban areas with militant sections of people being organised.”
“From the very beginning we should bring together most dalit and muslim forces that are already taking shape in some parts of country. For example, such dalit forces are taking shapre in south – Tamil Nadu and Gujrat and muslim minority forces in Kerala, Karnataka and Maharashtra are giving militant and armed attacks on Dalit and religious minority people by the organised Hindutva. They want to take training by going into revolutionary.”
The court rejected his bail plea after studying all documents and said – The court discarded the plea of his old age observing, “The collective interest of the community would outweigh the right of personal liberty of the applicant and as such the old age and/or alleged sickness of the applicant would not go in his favour, so that the discretion to release the applicant can be exercised in his favour.”
Special judge DE Kothalikar said while rejecting the bail -“The material placed on record thus prima facie denotes that the applicant was not only the member of banned organisation Communist Party of India (Maoist) but he was carrying out activities further in the objective of the organisation which is nothing but to overthrow the democracy of the nation.”
The evidences gathered against him point out that Stan Swamy was on a mission not only to convert indigenous Hindu tribals of India to Christianity but in a more dangerous conversion, that off converting this blessed Hindu land into a militant land. Helping and fighting for the tribal was just an overt show, a show set to conduct dangerous operations covertly, behind the visibility of normal common citizen.
Agenda 1 –Overt Agenda– Convert tribals to Christianity during his stay in Jharkhand. Set up Churches in tribal areas.
Agenda 2- Covert Agenda – To recruit tribals for maoist terrorism and to keep the land of Hindus always in turmoil, in war state.
Agenda 3 – To dethrone any govt of India that does not tow the line of the Church, Christian, and Communist thinking.
As per NIA report Stan Swamy was a member of banned organisation Communist Party of India (Maoist) and he was carrying out activities further in the objective of the organisation which has been trying and carrying out activities to overthrow the democracy of the nation. His organisation “hatched a serious conspiracy to create unrest in the entire country and to overpower the government.”
NIAChargesheet of 10000 pages also says,
The NIA charge-sheet named Stan Swamy as a member of the banned Communist Party of India (Maoist) and was involved in a conspiracy to instigate caste violence in the Bhima Koregaon incident on January 1, 2018.
Koregaon Bhima case: Violence a deep-rooted conspiracy, says Bombay HC
In 2018, the Bombay High Court has said that the Elgar Parishad-Koregaon Bhima violence was a “deep-rooted” conspiracy which had “extremely serious repercussions”. The observation was made by a division bench of Justices B P Dharmadhikari and S V Kotwal. These were based on the sufficient material evidences found against the accused.
Stan Swamy was in communication with CPI-Maoist cadre Comrade Arun. He communicated that after the arrest of urban CPI-Maoist cadres from different parts of the country, particularly Maharashtra, a huge irrevocable damage has been caused to the party.
Stan Swamy received Rs 8 lakh through one Comrade Mohan for furtherance of the CPI-Maoist activities. He is the convener of Persecuted Prisoners Solidarity Committee (PPSC) frontal organisation of the CPI-Maoists.
Stan Swamy planned to prepare a front to take on the Modi government through the means of armed militia.
The documents recovered from Stan Swamy are related to the literature of 50 years of Naxalbari, CPI-Maoist press releases, circular issued by the central committee (CC), literature on how to smuggle things (sneak it through smuggling made easier), letter to Stan Swamy from one Prashant, letter to Vijayan Dada from Stan Swamy regarding mobilising of Adivasi and regarding concerns raised by CC, guide of encrypted data communication on GSM network, message on the celebration of the 13th anniversary of CPI-Maoist, an essential underground handbook, letter between comrades for using encryption, mini-manual of urban guerilla, the Constitution of CPI-Maoist, documents related to the status of PLGA in excel sheet, document on strategy and tactics of Indian revolution.
The letter instructed that all SC leaders to work with “the principle of no rest, no negligence and no mercy” and to do everything possible to “disrupt the fake development propaganda disseminated by star campaigners of BJP-RSS corporate friendly family”. “Our aim should be to stop them from making inroads into tribal masses and lower middle-class population.”
On international front in the absence of Rona Wilson and Sai Baba, there has been major disruption in communicating with international Maoist parties. It said Sri Lanka and Nepal operations are also impacted. “Keeping all these necessities in view the Central committee has directed one comrade to assume the responsibility of international coordination of solidarity programmes and making arrangements for bilateral delegations. But please ensure both are sufficiently trained in order to understand sensitive aspects of technical security.”
There is also discussion about avoiding the name of the “anti-fascist” front as it would turn negative appeal to public. The NIA says there is a clear mention about giving such responsibility to accused Sudhir Dhawale along with monetary support is found mentioned in a letter from Com M (wanted accused Milind Teltumbde) to accused Ron Wilson.
Know the mentor of Stan Swamy: Helder Camara
Mentor Helder Camara- In one his document its clearly written – If by chance it were not possible to accomplish this subversive plan through normal means, the professor from the Seminary in Recife considered the recourse to arms legitimate, in order to establish manu military, the regime he had theorised.
In the Corrispondenza Romana it is written such – there are few who know this, but Helder Camara began his public life as a militant in the pro-Nazi right. He was in fact, a party official of the Acao Integralista Brasileira (AIB), the pro-Nazi movement founded by Plinio Salgado. In 1934, the then Father Camara became part of the Supreme Council of the AIB. Two years later he was Salgado’s personal secretary, and thus the national Secretary of the AIB, a leading figure who took part in meetings and paramilitary marches that aped the Nazis in Germany. His pro-Nazi convictions were so deep that he was ordained a priest wearing the integralist militia’s uniform under his cassock – the ill-famed “green shirt”.
In 1968 when the Brazilian writer Otto Engel wrote a biography about Helder Camara, he received “summary orders” from the Olinda-Recife Curia which warned him not to publish it. The Archbishop didn’t want his pro-Nazi past being made known.
Helder Camara moved onto hailing Mao Tse-Tung’s China, at that time in full “cultural revolution”, causing the death of millions. The Red Archbishop formally requested the admission of Communist China to the United Nations with the consequent expulsion of Taiwan. He finished his intervention with an appeal in favour of the Cuban Dictator, Fidel Castro, at that time busy sustaining bloody guerrilla warfare in Latin America. He also asked for Cuba to be re-admitted to the OEA (the Organization of the American States) from which it had been expelled in 1962.
However, perhaps the episode that aroused the most astonishment was the so-called “Comblin affair”.
In June 1968 a bomb of a document was leaked out to the Brazilian newspapers, prepared under the auspices of Archbishop Helder Camara, by the Belgian priest Joseph Comblin, professor at the Theological Institute (Seminary) of Recife. The document proposed, without veils, a subversive plan to dismantle the State and establish a “dictatorship of the people” of a Communist matrix.
He sang praises of some of the bloodiest dictatorships that constellated the 20th century; first Nazism, and then Communism in all of its variants: Soviet, Cuban, Chinese.
In his famous interview with Italian journalist Oriana Fallaci, he also stated that, despite his support for non-violence, he didn’t oppose violent tactics: “And I respect a lot of priests with rifles on their shoulders; I never said that to use weapons against an oppressor is immoral or anti-Christian. But that’s not my choice, not my road, not my way to apply the Gospels”.
