Union Government clears proposal to give more powers to Delhi Lieutenant Governor, to be passed in current Parliament session

The Union Cabinet has reportedly approved amendments to the Government of NCT of Delhi Act to give more powers to the Lieutenant Governor, reports Times of India.

According to the reports, the proposed amendments will prescribe the time-lines for the elected government in Delhi to send legislative and administrative proposals to the LG for his opinion. The Union government also intends to pass the new amendments included in the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Bill, 2021 during the current Budget session of the Parliament.

In an attempt to seek better governance and reduce potential conflicts, the centre has introduced new provisions to give more powers to consider on some matters that fall outside the purview of the legislative assembly and which the LG must reserve for the consideration of the President.

According to the current provisions, Constitution confers powers on the Lieutenant Governor to refer a particular matter to the President for a decision where he has a contrarian view than the council of ministers. In such cases where the President’s decision is pending, the LG may take an immediate decision, if he believes that the matter is urgent.

However, this constitutional provision has become inoperative ever since the Supreme court ruled that the Delhi government need not seek LG’s ‘concurrence’ in every issue of day-to-day governance, but need to inform him.

The proposed amendment instructs that the elected government send legislative proposals to the LG at least 15 days in advance to seek his opinion on the matter to avoid any delays.

Congress continues to spread lies about rioter Navreet’s death, now Priyanka Gandhi goes to meet the family

In a shameful display of political opportunism, Congress party continues to flog the dead horse regarding the unfortunate death of a rioter named Navreet Singh during the Republic Day violence after his tractor overturned. The protestor was killed on Republic Day after his tractor turned turtle while he was trying to break barricades. Soon after, several media portals, journalists and politicians started peddling the fake news that Navreet Singh died of a bullet injury after Delhi police shot him.

Delhi police had issued a clarification soon after stating that the protestor died of injuries sustained by him after his tractor turned turtle. Delhi police’s clarification was confirmed by the postmortem report of the deceased protestor that stated that he had died of “shock and hemorrhage as a result of antemortem head injury”. FIRs were filed in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh against several persons including ‘journalist’ Rajdeep Sarsdesai and senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor for spreading fake information on Republic Day regarding the death of Navreet Singh.

Priyanka Gandhi looking at another Hathras moment

In a classic case of political opportunism, Priyanka Gandhi along with other Congress leaders left for Rampur in Uttar Pradesh to meet Navreet’s family members.

However, in utter disregard for truth, the Congress party continues to peddle the narrative that Navreet Singh died after being shot by the Delhi police. This is contrary to the autopsy reports and the doctors’ signed declaration that there were no bullet injuries. Multiple FIRs have also been filed against various individuals including Congress leader Shashi Tharoor and India Today employee Rajdeep Sardesai for spreading the falsehood. Despite this, Congress is continuing to brazenly lie and stoke tension in an already volatile situation.

In an apparent effort to further politicise the issue, Congress scion Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is going to meet the family of Navreet Singh as informed by UP Congress President Ajay Kumar Lallu.

Vehicles in Priyanka Gandhi’s cavalcade collided with each other, no injuries reported

The vehicles in her cavalcade reportedly collided with one another while on the way to Rampur, Uttar Pradesh. However, no injuries have been reported.

The various malicious layers of the farmer protest that initially appeared to be genuine agitation against the farm laws passed by the central government to introduce reforms in agrarian sector, have have started to peel off since the horrific Republic Day violence. The whole conspiracy that apparently has international connections was exposed yesterday after climate environmentalist Greta Thunberg inadvertently revealed the sinister global campaign against India by tweeting the ‘toolkit‘ of the plan.

Twitter’s Jack fails to hide his anti-India bias, ‘likes’ tweets promoting Rihanna’s attempt to ‘uplift the oppressed’

Jack Dorsey, the CEO of the micro-blogging site which has not quite hidden its leftist bias, on Tuesday was caught endorsing tweets hailing Hollywood singer-actress Rihanna’s intervention into India’s domestic politics.

Karen Attiah, who is the Global Opinions editor for controversial left-wing news publication ‘The Washington Post’, on Tuesday took to Twitter to hail song-writer Rihanna’s intervention in support of the protestors in India, who have now been accused of unleashing massive violence on the streets of the national capital.

Singer-actress Rihanna, along with former porn-star Mia Khalifa and child protestors such as Greta Thunberg, interfered in the country’s internal affair by endorsing violence in the name of supporting ‘farmer’ protests, causing a massive backlash against these so-called international celebrities. The statements of these celebrities were used by various political heads like pro-Khalistan Canadian MP Jagmeet Singh.

Attiah, showering praise on Rihanna, asked what was the need for Rihanna, who according to shook the Indian government, to release album when she can uplift the so-called ‘oppressed’.

Jack’s ‘likes’

Referring to Rihanna as a real hero, Karen Attiah claimed that the popular song-writer has often raised her voice for social justice movements in Sudan, Nigeria, Myanmar and now in India.

Jack’s ‘likes’

Continuing to fantasise about Rihanna, Karen Attiah, in another tweet, said that it was a good time for Twitter and Jack to add an emoji in support of the massive ‘farmer’ protests in India as they did during the ‘historic’ protests like ‘Black Lives Matter’ and ‘End Sars’. She tagged Twitter and Jack’s handles to demand an emoji supporting political protests that have nothing to do with her country.

Jack’s ‘likes’

It is not unsurprising to know the eagerness of Karen Attiah, who incidentally works for Washington Post, to interfere in another country’s affairs. The sheer hatred for India and Hindus by the likes of Washington Post and its employees were glaringly visible through Karen’s posts.

Jack, the CEO of Twitter, promptly responded to Karen Attiah’s fascination for Rihanna and her attempts to meddle in another country’s affair by ‘liking’ all her posts. Essentially, Jack Dorsey has now expressed his willingness to play a much larger role in influencing users against India, especially the Modi government.

Twitter, which has received a lot of criticism for its arbitrary rules and regulations to silence its critics and nationalist voices across the globe, has often flaunted its ideological bias. The micro-blogging site has been censoring content and suspending accounts for a while in a bid to create an echo-chamber out of its platform to amplify the voices of the global left.

Perhaps, his approval of Rihanna’s tweet seeking to interfere in India’s domestic politics is also a clear sign that there could be full-fledged attempts in the near future by Twitter and its team to push one set of narrative to achieve certain political objectives. The country has already seen how Twitter has been using its editorial power to push false propaganda against the government on the one hand, while arbitrarily removing contents and accounts of Hindu nationalists.

Is Jack Dorsey retaliating to Indian government’s notice?

Jack’s anti-India propaganda, may have also come as a retaliation against the Modi government after issuing a notice to Twitter for violating Indian laws. Recently, Twitter had unblocked a few accounts and tweets that trended a controversial hashtag claiming that Prime Minister Modi was planning a ‘farmer genocide’ despite the government asking the social media giant to block them.

Around 250 tweets and accounts were withheld in India on the February 1 after the controversial hashtag trended on the platform on the January 30. The accounts of The Caravan, Kisan Ekta Morcha, actor Sushant Singh were some of the most prominent to be withheld. However, within hours, Twitter restored these accounts without even complying the government’s order.

Following the refusal of Twitter to comply to Indian rules, the government of India has asked Twitter to explain why it violated the laws of the country.

Modi government issues notice to Twitter for non-compliance of Indian laws

In the notice, the government stated, “Twitter Cannot Assume the Role of Court and Justify Non-Compliance.” According to Indian laws, “the intermediary is bound to comply with the order of the Designated Officer authorized by the Central Government, and in case of non-compliance, statutory consequences shall follow.”

The notice said that it was “astonishing” that Twitter was “commenting upon significant issues relating to freedom of speech relating to the power of the Central Government under section 69A of the Act and the constitutional desirability of the interim order dated 31.1.2021.”

The government has also warned Twitter of consequences for non-compliance of directions issued under section 69A of the IT Act.

Perhaps, the Modi government’s notice to Twitter has now unleashed Jack Dorsey to act against India and attempting to interfere in country’s politics.

Because of lack of legal action by Maha govt against Sharjeel Usmani, state BJP President urges CM Yogi to take matters in his hands

State President of Maharashtra BJP, Chandrakant Patil has written to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath seeking action against Newslaundry columnist and former Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) student leader Sharjeel Usmani who had given a hate speech targeting the Hindu community at the recently Elgar Parishad conclave at Pune.

Accusing Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray of not taking any action against Usmani despite the lapse of five days since the incident, Patil said that Usmani’s speech has hurt the sentiments of Hindu community across the country. He wrote that spreading hatred against PM Modi and the Constitution of India was no less than sedition. In his letter dated February 3, 2021, Patil urged CM Yogi to take action against Usmani who belongs to Sidhari in Azamgarh district of Uttar Pradesh. He demanded the strictest against Usmani and said that he should be made an example of to discourage people from making hateful comments and insulting the Hindu community.

Usamni booked by Pune police for promoting enmity between different groups

Following constant demands of the Maharashtra BJP leaders, Sharjeel Usmani was finally booked by the Pune police on February 2 for his hate speech against Hindus after a local BJP leader named Pradip Gavade filed a complaint against him. A case was registered by the police against Usmani under section 153 A of the Indian Penal Code for promoting enmity between different groups on the ground of religion.

Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh assured yesterday that Usmani would be arrested from whatever state he is in.

Sedition case filed against Usmani in Lucknow

A case of sedition has been filed against Sharjeel Usmani at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The FIR was filed at Hazratganj police station on the complaint of one Anuraj Singh who reportedly told the police that he found a video of Usmani’s speech on Internet. Singh accused Usmani of creating hate against the Yogi government, promoting enmity among groups, hurting religious sentiments and conspiring against the government.

The FIR has been lodged under sections 124 A (sedition), 153 A (promoting enmity between different groups), 295 A (deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings), 298 (uttering words with deliberate intent to wound the religious feelings) and the relevant sections of the IT Act.

Usmani’s hate speech against Hindus

On January 30, 2021, Usmani had reportedly used derogatory language against the Hindu community during Elgar Parishad held at Ganesh Kala Krida Manch. In his speech targeting Hindus, he had said that the Hindu society was ‘rotten’ to the core. He spoke about the Uttar Pradesh Yogi government and accused it of killing 19 people everyday in encounters in one year, all of whom were either Muslims or Dalits.

Biden led US govt backs Modi govt’s farm laws, says the reforms will improve market efficiency

Recognising the importance of the farm reforms initiated by India, the United States on Wednesday voiced its support for the three farm laws passed by the Modi government.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the Biden administration said that it welcomes steps that would improve the efficiency of India’s markets and attract greater private sector investment.

The statement issued by the US State Dept indicated that the new Biden Administration is supportive of the Indian government’s move to reform the agricultural sector that attracts private investment and greater market access to farmers.

Rejecting violence in the name of protests carried out by the ‘farmers’, the Biden administration also said that recognised peaceful protests as a hallmark of a thriving democracy and praised Modi government’s progressive farm sector reforms.

Even though observers in India have welcomed Joe Biden administration’s support for the farm laws, they have also expressed caution against US government’s intervention in country’s internal affairs.

Foreign celebrities share false propaganda, gets slammed

The Biden administration’s support for the farm laws comes just a day after foreign vested interests attempted to peddle false propaganda against India by expressing their solidarity with a bunch of protestors, who have been accused of unleashing riots on the streets of Delhi.

Singer-actress Rihanna, along with former porn-star Mia Khalifa and child protestors such as Greta Thunberg on Tuesday interfered in country’s internal affair by endorsing violence in the name of supporting ‘farmer’ protests, causing a massive backlash against these so-called international celebrities. The statements of these celebrities were used by various political heads like pro-Khalistan Canadian MP Jagmeet Singh.

However, the Indian government issued a stern warning to these foreigners and asked these individuals and entities with no locus standi in India’s internal matters, to ascertain facts and undertake a proper understanding of the farmers’ protest before rushing to comment on it.

Interestingly, hours after Rihanna stormed a massive political controversy, certain reports highlighted the reason behind Rihanna’s intervention to support Khalistani protestors disguised as ‘farmers’ in India. It is being suspected that Canadian top politician Jagmeet Singh, who is notoriously known for supporting Khalistan separatism, could be behind Rihanna’s anti-Indian propaganda.

Greta Thunberg leaks sinister global campaign against India

Amidst the allegations of foreign interference against India, child protestor Greta Thunberg inadvertently revealed the sinister global campaign against India after she shared a ‘Toolkit‘ for those who want to support the ongoing ‘farmer protests’ in the country.

The documents, at the first glance, clarifies that it is not an organic wave of support but well-planned propaganda against the Indian government. However, when people noticed the contents in the documents, it was revealed that an international campaign was plotted against India to defame country internationally. Although Greta Thunberg has deleted the tweet, but the damage has already been done.

The document shared by Greta Thunberg listed a series of actions that people across the world could take to support the ‘farmer protests’ and also listed actions that had been undertaken. The document also made it clear that the global attempts to incite unrest in India had begun prior to the Republic Day riots.

Subsequently, Greta uploaded a second updated document for the protest agenda.

Greta Thunberg deletes protest toolkit tweet after it revealed global designs against India, campaign underway since at least November: Details

At first glance, the document clarifies that it is not an organic wave of support but well-planned propaganda against the Indian government. When people noticed what was in those documents, the international campaign against India suffered a major blow. Although Greta Thunberg has deleted the tweet, but the damage has already been done.

Access to Toolkit documents has been made private after the backlash prompted by the tweet made by Greta Thunberg.

Earlier, celebrities and politicians including Rihanna, Greta Thunberg, Mia Khalifa and Canadian MP Jagmeet and others had come forward in support of the farmer protests. But the document shared by Greta has made it clear that it is part of a larger conspiracy to cause unrest in India.

Ministry of External Affairs has issued a statement and urged everyone to get their facts right before issuing any statements. Indian celebrities and leaders including Amit Shah, Smriti Irani, Sachin Tendulkar and many others have come forward to stand with the government in the fight against the international propaganda to cause unrest in India.

Puducherry CM attended PFI event in January and showered Islamist org with praises: Details

0

In January, this year, a PFI event was attended by the Chief Minister of Puducherry Mr. V. Narayanasamy. During the event, the Chief Minister apparently praised the Islamist org for its welfare activities during the Coronavirus crisis. Sources told us, “Unknowingly, the CM stated that the service done by PFI during the Tsunami was great. Interestingly, the PFI never existed during the Tsunami and earthquake which happened in December 2004.”

The speech by Narayanasamy was “typical strategy of PFI to trap political leaders from main stream political parties to give publicity for their organisation to cover up their anti-social and anti-national activities.”

OpIndia has learnt from reliable sources within the central government that the Popular Front of India (PFI) was established as a substitute for the banned Islamic terrorist outfit SIMI and since its inception in 2009, the Islamist group has spread its wings to 16 states and has a membership of over one and a half lakh.

Sources told us, “PFI has promoted itself as a saviour of Islamic causes and endeavouring to stimulate a Dalit-Muslim unity. However, beneath the open agenda it has several hidden objectives such as targeting Hindu leaders, stoking communal embers, forced conversions and Love Jihad. PFI is also responsible in Kerala for motivating two dozen persons to join ISIS.”

The PFI is involved in over 600 criminal cases across the country, sources said. During the anti-CAA protests, the involvement of PFI in the violence that ensued was suspected and numerous PFI members were arrested as well regarding the matter. More recently, it was revealed that top PFI functionaries had met Turkish extremist NGO IHH. The IHH was accused to have smuggled arms to Al-Qaeda affiliated Jihadists in Syria in January 2014.

“When such criminal activities of PFI are known, political leaders still woo them by attending their functions for electoral considerations and it will only lead to the misleading of the public by elected representative,” he said.

‘External forces can be spectators, not participants’: Little Master Sachin Tendulkar hits global propaganda out of the park

0

A day after global celebrities, including singer Rihanna and activist Greta Thunberg extended their support to the ongoing farmers’ protest, legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar joined the Centre’s call to stand united against “propaganda” against India’s policies and said that India’s sovereignty can’t be compromised.

In a tweet, Sachin Tendulkar said, “India’s sovereignty cannot be compromised. External forces can be spectators but not participants. Indians know India and should decide for India. Let’s remain united as a nation. #IndiaTogether #IndiaAgainstPropaganda.”

Sachin was responding to a statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), which said celebrities should abstain from making comments on issues and try to get a “proper understanding of the issues”.

“Before rushing to comment on such matters, we would urge that the facts be ascertained, and a proper understanding of the issues at hand be undertaken. The temptation of sensationalist social media hashtags and comments, especially when resorted to by celebrities and others, is neither accurate nor responsible,” said MEA in its statement on Wednesday.

Besides Sachin, many Bollywood celebrities had also extended their support to the MEA’s call to stand united against “propaganda”. Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Ajay Devgn, Karan Johar, Ekta Kapoor and several others urged people to remain united and not fall for propaganda peddled by others.

Rihanna, Greta Thunberg among celebrities who expressed support for ‘farmers’ protest

The reaction from the MEA came hours after international pop sensation Rihanna took to Twitter to ask why isn’t there a discussion on the ongoing farmers’ protest in India. Soon after Rihanna tweeted, several global celebrities started tweeting in support of the ‘farmers’ protests.

Among prominent people who came out in support of the farmers’ protest against the farm reform laws were teen climate activist Greta Thunberg and US Vice President Kamala Harris’ niece.

Rahul Gandhi shares a list of dictators starting with ‘M’, conveniently leaves out Chinese dictator Mao Zedong

The Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday took to Twitter to pose a question on why do so many dictators have their names starting with ‘M’. Though he did not care to elaborate on the context of the tweet, he shared a list of number of dictators whose names started with the alphabet ‘M’.

“Why do so many dictators have names that begin with M ? Marcos, Mussolini, Milosevic, Mubarak, Mobutu, Musharraf, Micombero,” the Congress leader tweeted.

Even though the Wayanad MP did not explicitly mention in his tweet, the indirect reference to PM Modi was hard to miss. For the last few months, Gandhi has been attacking the central government and accusing PM Modi of exhibiting fascist and dictatorial tendencies.

Rahul Gandhi drops off mentioning Mao Zedong in the list of dictators starting with ‘M’

While the Gandhi scion spoke about the dictators who had their initials starting with ‘M’, his list did not include the infamous Chinese autocrat Mao Zedong, who is arguably the biggest mass murderer in the history of the world.

Most people assume that Adolf Hitler or Soviet Dictator Joseph Stalin to be the biggest despots the world has ever seen. However, both Hitler and Stalin were outdone by the former Chinese premier Mao Zedong, also the founder of the People’s Republic of China. From 1958 to 1962, Mao presided over a hare-brained campaign of Great Leap forward policy that led to the deaths of about 45 million people—easily making it the largest episode of mass murders ever recorded.

However, a book ‘Black Book of Communism’ chronicling the tumultuous years of Mao’s regime pegs the number of people died due to Mao’s policies even higher. It states that 65 million people perished because of Mao’s merciless attempts to create a utopian socialist society in China. Under the “Great Leap Forward”, China suffered an unprecedented famine, leading to the deaths of tens of millions of people.

Five years later when Mao sensed that the revolutionary fervour in China is on the wane, he announced another campaign—Cultural Revolution. Under this revolution, gangs of Red Guards — young men and women between 14 and 21—prowled the cities targeting the revisionists and those who were perceived as enemies of the state, especially teachers and intellectuals.

Teachers and Professors across the length and breadth of the country were humiliated, their faces smeared with think and they were forced to get down on their knees and bark like dogs. Some of them were beaten to death by the rampaging Red Guards Army. It was only after the Red Guards started attacking the Communist Party members that Mao called in the Red Army to put down the marauding Red Guards. But by then, a million Chinese were already dead.

Communism continues to be a source of terror in India

Mao’s brand of Communism was adopted by subsequent Chinese leaders, including the current Chinese Premier Xi Jinping, under whose leadership, persecution of minorities have continued unabated. Uyghur Muslim minorities in the Chinese province of Xinjiang have been subjected to unspeakable atrocities under the auspices of Xi Jinping. They have been forcibly sent to detention centres that are described as “re-education camps” and “training centres” by the Communist leaders. They are separated from their families and dissuaded from following religious practices.

Communism remains an enduring threat, not just for the people of China, but for the Indians too. In India, the Communist Party of India(Maoists) carried out terror activities in the form of Naxal attacks in some parts of the rural India. The Communist Party of India(Maoists) draws its ideological inspiration from the Chinese Communist Party.

The CPI (Maoists) is a designated terror organisation by the Indian Government under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act since 2009. Recently, a US report published in 2019 ranked CPI(M) as the 6th deadliest terror outfit in the world. The report blamed the Communist Party of India (Maoist) for the killing of 311 people in 2018 and involvement in over 177 terror incidents in the same year. Although the party is losing its strength, it is still a force to reckon with and the Indian government is taking measures to annihilate them.

Congress signed an MoU with CCP in 2008

The absence of Mao Zedong’s name from the list of dictators tweeted by Rahul Gandhi is also instructive of the Congress party’s close ties with the Chinese Communist Party. It is worth noting that Congress had signed an MoU with the CCP during the UPA 1 regime to consult on ‘important issues’.

In 2008, the Congress party and the Communist Party of China (CPC) had signed a deal in Beijing for exchanging high-level information and co-operation between them. The memorandum of understanding (MoU) also provided the two parties with the “opportunity to consult each other on important bilateral, regional and international developments”.

Interestingly, the MoU was signed by the then Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi and on the Chinese side, it was signed by none other than Xi Jinping himself, who was then the Chinese vice-president and standing committee member of the CPC’s politburo. The MoU was signed in the presence of his mother and party president Sonia Gandhi.

It is also pertinent to note that Rahul Gandhi allegedly had a secret meeting with Chinese ministers during his Kailash Mansarovar visit in September 2018. While addressing a town hall meeting titled Reimagining India in Bhubaneswar in January 2019, Rahul Gandhi revealed that he had met Chinese ministers during his visit to Kailash Mansarovar.

Furthermore, it has also been observed that Congress and Rahul Gandhi have been studiously mealy-mouthed about criticising China and the Chinese Communist Party. Perhaps, the alleged closeness between Congress and the CCP is the reason why Rahul Gandhi has consciously refrained from including Mao Zedong in the list of dictators he tweeted earlier today?

Document shared by climate activist Greta Thunberg reveals global campaign to stir unrest in India began before Republic Day riots: Details

Greta Thunberg has inadvertently revealed the insidious nature of the global campaign against India. After music sensation Rihanna and adult movie actress Mia Khalifa jumped in to amplify the targeted campaign against the Indian government, the school drop out activist also registered her contribution in the matter.

However, she appears to have given the game away when she shared a document that detailed the manner in which people all over the world could contribute to undermine laws passed by the democratically elected Parliament of India.

Greta Thunberg
Source: Twitter

The document, titled, ‘Global Farmer Strike First Wave’, implores individuals across the world to be a part of the ‘largest protest’ in human history. The objective is, apparently, to protest against the ‘unregulated corporatisation’ of the farming sector.

The document registers actions people can take to undermine the democratic will of the Indian population. The proposed measures include, “Call/Email any of your govt representatives and ask them to take action, Sign online Petitions and take action to Divest from monopolists and oligopolists like Adani-Ambani” and “Organise an on-ground action near the closest Indian Embassy, Media House or your local Govt. office on 13th February, 2020.”

The document also lists a series of ‘prior actions’ that were undertaken. These include, “Physical Actions – Near Indian Embassies, Govt. offices, Media houses (or even Adani-Ambani offices) globally – 26th January” and “Watch out for (or Join) the Farmers’ March / Parade (a first of its kind) into Delhi and back to the borders on 26th January.”

About the protests on Republic Day, the document, which was clearly prepared before the 26th of January, states, “On 26th January, a major day of globally coordinated actions, Show your support at local physical locations, wherever you are. Either find protests happening in your city/state/country and participate in large (or small) numbers or organize one.”

“In addition to the options below, you are encouraged to organise solidarity protests either at/near Indian Embassies, near your local Govt. offices or offices of various multinational Adani and Ambani companies. While we are focusing on the 26th, you are encouraged to continue organising gatherings as and when possible – for this is not going to end anytime soon,” it adds.

The document also urges individuals to participate in a ‘Global TweetStorm’ on the 23rd and 26th of January. It is pertinent to mention that the 23rd of January marks the birth anniversary of legendary Indian freedom fighter Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.

The document also mentions @thepmo, @UNDP, @UNFAO @XRebellionInd (if on Instagram) and @PMOIndia, @UNDP_India, @nstomar, @XRebellionInd, @timestrolley (if on Twitter) as the accounts to tag in during the ‘TweetStorm’.

The document also asks individuals to sign certain petitions. What is clear from the document is that there was a coordinated attempt by hostile elements abroad to incite unrest in India all along. Furthermore, while it is unclear precisely when the coordinated efforts began, it is more than evident that such attempts began even prior to the 23rd of January.

Moreover, there were attempts by hostile elements abroad to stir up passions on Republic Day. Greta Thunberg has tagged the handles of two obscure groups in the tweet where she shared the document. One is “Extinction Rebellion India” and the other is “Fridays For Future India”.

There is not much information about the identities of the individuals involved in either of these two groups. The website for FFFI does not list the names of the head of the group or the board running things. However, given their antecedents, it is clear that they are a part of a bigger effort to undermine Indian democracy.
