Google removes ‘Parler’ after Donald Trump opens account post Twitter suspension, Apple gives 24 hours to ‘remove objectionable content’

Just hours after Twitter carried out a strike on the free speech by suspending United States President Donald Trump from its platform, other big-tech companies have also decided to act on smaller tech firms such as social network app ‘Parler’ by suspending it from the Play Store over its alleged ‘failure’ to remove “egregious content”.

According to reports, Parler has been suspended for hosting user-generated content that Google and Apple have deemed to be in violation of their respective platform’s rules. Citing posts inciting violence and demanding content moderation from the app, Google has removed the Parler from its Play Store.

The decision of Google to suspend ‘Parler’ from its platform comes amidst the reports that Donald Trump had joined the platform leading to its removal from the Play Store. This arbitrary decision comes after micro-blogging site Twitter banned United States Donald Trump from its platform claiming that he incited violence.

For uninitiated, launched in 2018, Parler is a social media platform network that is popular among the right-wing in the United States, who were victims of arbitrary suspension by the big-techs on its social networking platforms. Millions of people have joined Parler, which is uncensored and has attracted free speech warriors after mainstream social media sites like Twitter and Facebook decided to clamp down on users.

Not just Google, even Apple has warned Parler of suspension

Following Google’s action against free speech, Apple Inc too joined in on Friday to give 24 hours time to Parler to submit a detailed moderation plan and demanding them to act against participants, who allegedly used the service to coordinate protests of the US Capitol building.

In a letter from Apple’s App Store review team to Parler seen by Reuters, Apple cited participants of the mob storming the US Capitol building on Wednesday. “Content that threatens the well-being of others or is intended to incite violence or other lawless acts has never been acceptable on the App Store,” Apple said in the letter.

Giving 24 hours to Parler, Apple demanded them to “remove all objectionable content from your app … as well as any content referring to harm to people or attacks on government facilities now or at any future date”.

We won’t cave to politically motivated companies, Parler CEO

Responding to the ban, Parler Chief Executive John Matze said in a post on Friday that Apple was applying standards to Parler that it did not apply to itself. The app’s chief executive said, “We won’t cave to politically motivated companies and those authoritarians who hate free speech!”

“Apparently they believe Parler is responsible for ALL user-generated content on Parler,” Matze said. “Therefor (sic) by the same logic, Apple must be responsible for ALL actions taken by their phones. Every car bomb, every illegal cell phone conversation, every illegal crime committed on an iPhone, Apple must also be responsible for,” he wrote.

The CEO also highlighted the bias of big-tech saying, “Standards not applied to Twitter, Facebook or even Apple themselves, apply to Parler”.

Twitter bans US President Donald Trump

In a major blow to free speech, Twitter on Friday permanently banned the personal account of Donald Trump (@realdonaldtrump). The arbitrary action by Twitter to ban a sitting President and big-tech companies playing a direct role in country’s politics has now caused a massive shock to the citizens worldwide, invoking fear about big-tech’s intent to censure contrary viewpoints.

In a statement, Twitter said, “After a close review of recent Tweets from the @realDonaldTrump account and the context around them — specifically how they are being received and interpreted on and off Twitter — we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further incitement of violence.”

Following the permanent suspension, the POTUS issued a scathing response accusing Twitter of conspiring with his political enemies “to silence” him. Declaring war on big-techs, President Trump issued a statement over the shocking action of Twitter to ban free speech saying that micro-blogging site is colluding with Democrats and radical left elements to silence him and the 75 million people who voted for him.

Adventure sex turns fatal as man dies in Nagpur after lady ties rope around his neck: Read details

In a bizarre incident in Nagpur, a 30-year-old man died due to suffocation after sex adventure with his partner went wrong and turned out be fatal.

According to reports, the incident took place at a lodge in Khaparkheda area of the city in the wee hours on Friday. The police said that the deceased was in a relationship with the woman, who is married and has a child for the last five years.

The police said that the couple came to the lodge on Thursday night to spend time together. In the quest for adventure sex, the lady reportedly tied man’s hands and legs to a chair with a nylon rope. She allegedly used another rope around his neck to heighten sexual arousal, a police official said.

“The woman then went to the washroom, just when the chair to which the man was tied, slipped and the rope around his neck got tightened. When the woman returned, she found her partner lying motionless,” he said.

Woman admits of having illicit relationship with the deceased man

As the man lost his consciousness, the woman immediately called for help. A room service staffer came and untied the man from the chair.

The police were altered, who rushed to the spot immediately. The woman was detained for questioning and the man’s body was sent for post-mortem.

“The woman has admitted that she was in an illicit relationship with the man. The police have also recorded the statements of the waiters, the lodge manager and room service boys and seized the cellphones of the woman and the deceased man for probe,” the official said.

A case of accidental death has been registered at Khaparkheda police station and further investigation is on, the Nagpur police said.

Twitter permanently suspends Donald Trump, then suspends other accounts that he tried to use: Here is all you need to know

Two days after social media giant Twitter censored incumbent US President Donald Trump for 12 hours, amidst the violent protests in US Capitol Hill, Twitter has now permanently banned the personal account of Donald Trump (@realdonaldtrump).

In a statement, Twitter said, “After a close review of recent Tweets from the @realDonaldTrump account and the context around them — specifically how they are being received and interpreted on and off Twitter — we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further incitement of violence.” The social media giant had earlier warned on Wednesday that further ‘violations’ of its rules by the US President would result in termination of the account.

Twitter further added, “Our public interest framework exists to enable the public to hear from elected officials and world leaders directly. It is built on a principle that the people have a right to hold power to account in the open.” It added that such elected leaders are not out of the purview of Twitter rules and cannot use the social media platform to provoke violence. “We will continue to be transparent around our policies and their enforcement,” Twitter noted.

Reason behind permanent suspension

On Friday, Donald Trump tweeted, “The 75,000,000 great American Patriots who voted for me, AMERICA FIRST, and MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, will have a GIANT VOICE long into the future. They will not be disrespected or treated unfairly in any way, shape or form!!!” He also informed on Twitter that he would not be attending the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden on January 20.

Twitter stated that it has assessed both the tweets under the Glorification of Violence policy and concluded that the tweets were likely to encourage further violence and ‘criminal acts’, as witnessed at the US Capitol on Wednesday. The social media giant said that his supporters might consider his tweet to further their belief that the election was not legitimate and chose to attack the inauguration ceremony, knowing that Trump would not attend it.

“The use of the words “American Patriots” to describe some of his supporters is also being interpreted as support for those committing violent acts at the US Capitol. The mention of his supporters having a “GIANT VOICE long into the future” and that “They will not be disrespected or treated unfairly in any way, shape or form!!!” is being interpreted as further indication that President Trump does not plan to facilitate an “orderly transition” and instead that he plans to continue to support, empower, and shield those who believe he won the election,”Twitter reiterated.

Twitter suspends ‘Team Trump’ account

Besides the account of @realdonaldtrump, Twitter has also suspended the handle of @Team Trump after President Trump used the latter account to release a statement.

After Twitter suspended not just President Trump’s account but also other Twitter accounts associated with him, President Trump issued a statement over the shocking action of Twitter to ban free speech saying that micro-blogging site is colluding with Democrats and radical left elements to silence him and the 75 million people who voted for him.

In his tweet from the Team Trump account, President Donald Trump pointed out how he had been saying for a long time that Twitter has gone further and further in banning free speech and added that Twitter employees have coordinated with the Democrats and the Radical Left elements to remove his account from their platform, to silence him and the 75,000,000 great patriots who voted for him. The President also pointed out that Twitter may be a private company, but the government’s gift of Section 230 they would not exist for long.

“I predicted this would happen. We have been negotiating with various other sites and will have a big announcement soon, while we also look at the possibilities of building out our own platform in the near future. We will not be SILENCED! Twitter is not about FREE SPEECH,” added POTUS Donald Trump highlighting how the micro-blogging site is all about promoting a Radical Left platform ‘where some of the most vicious people in the world are allowed to speak freely’.

Twitter cracks down on official President Trump account

Twitter has also suspended Donald Trump’s official account. He had put out on his official statement, criticising the social media platform for actively engaging in censorship. However, it was soon suspended thereafter

Twitter suspends close aide Michael Flynn, Trump’s aides

The social media giant has also cracked down on Michael Flynn, the former National Security Advisor who was pardoned by US President after he being prosecuted in Russian election interference probe.

When Trump’s campaign adviser tried to hand over his account to Donald Trump, it was suspended as well.

Capitol Hill violence and Twitter’s initial crackdown

Washington DC had erupted in chaos on Wendesday after supporters of Donald Trump stormed Capitol Hill and breached its premises. Capitol Hill is the seat of the US Senate and the House of Representatives. Protesters had entered House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office as well.

Moreover, one woman was shot by law enforcement authorities during the chaos. She is reported to have lost her life. Also, pipe bombs were found at the Republican National Committee’s headquarters. They were detonated after the staff was evacuated.

Donald Trump has addressed his supporters and asked them to go home. However, he continued to maintain that the presidential elections of 2020 were “fraudulent” and “stolen” even as he urged his supporters to “go home in peace”. He emphasized peace and law and order in his message. Twitter had limited the reach of the appeal and Facebook had removed it citing risk of violence.

‘Twitter colluding with radical left and Democrats to silence free speech’: President Donald Trump declares war on Twitter

Hours after micro-blogging site Twitter arbitrarily removed United States President Donald Trump from its platform, the POTUS issued a scathing response accusing Twitter of conspiring with his political enemies “to silence” him. As Twitter suspends the out-going President, Donald Trump, several questions are being raised on the control of big-tech on the political discourse around the world.

Earlier on Wednesday, Twitter had locked the account of incumbent US President Donald Trump in the wake of the violence at Capitol Hill in Washington DC. Claiming that Trump had incited violence, the social media giant said that his account has been locked for 12 hours and had warned that any future violation of its “Civic Integrity or Violent Threats policies” by Trump would lead to a suspension.

Three years after Rahul Gandhi said Tata Motors Sanand plant turned into ash, Congress leader AR Chowdhury calls it “a model for development”

Three years after then Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi had attacked the Tata Motors plant in Sanand in Gujarat, today Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury praised the plant, calling it a “model for development”. The leader of the Congress party in Lok Sabha made the comments while attacking the Mamata Banerjee government in West Bengal.

While Chowdhury praised the Sanand plant to attack the TMC govt to show how Gujarat benefitted for the action of Mamata Banerjee driving out Tata Motors from Singur in West Bengal, he ended up contradicting his own leader.

Chowdhury said that “Congress never supports how Tata plant was uprooted from Singur after spending Rs 1000 crores of state’s money to set up the infrastructure for the project.” He added, “Alternative site in Sanand, Gujarat, has become such a model for development in the country”.

Tata Motors was allocated land at West Bengal by the Buddhadeb Bhattacharya to set up a greenfield automobile manufacturing plant to make the ambitious Nano car. But the project had faced a massive protest from farmers led by then opposition leader Mamata Banerjee. Due to the protests, Tata Motors had decided to shift the plant to Sanand in Gujarat, after several states had invited the company to set up the plant.

In November 2017, Rahul Gandhi had attacked the plant, terming it a failure as the Nano car had failed. Alleging that Gujarat govt had given a grant of Rs 33,000 to the company for the plant, he had said Nano cars are not seen in the roads.

Rahul Gandhi had also alleged that the Rs 33,000 crores of Gujarati taxpayer money had turned to ash, as dealers had stopped placing orders for the Nano car due to its poor demand in the market.

Like every claim with big numbers, this was also a big lie by Rahul Gandhi, as Gujarat govt didn’t give any grant to Tata Motors. Instead, the state govt had given a loan of Rs 456.79 crore to the company. The low-interest loan was given as an incentive to the company, as several state governments had invited the company with similar attractive offers.

Although it is correct that by 2017, Nano cars had almost disappeared from roads, it didn’t mean that the Sanand plant was a failure. Tata Motors has come a long way from the days of Indica and Nano, which now has a wide portfolio of passenger cars in various categories, apart from a vast commercial vehicle portfolio. The company makes its Tiago and Tigor cars in the plant. The Tigor Electric Car is also manufactured in this plant. In September last year, the company had announced that the 3,00,000th Tiago had rolled out from the plant.

The plant was already making these cars when Rahul Gandhi had termed the plant a failure. But now his own leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury acknowledged the success of the plant, calling it a model of development.

A section of protesting farmers is sexually harassing female reporters, pinching their buttocks, reveals India Today Editor

Some protesting farmers are sexually harassing female reporters at the protests, Preeti Choudhry, Editor at India Today, has said. She said on Twitter that a ‘sizeable chunk of depraves’ are sexually harassing reporters and that others are letting it happen.

Preeti Choudhry claims a section of farmers are sexually harassing reporters.

Preeti Choudhry said that her own team has enough such incidents to report. One Bhupender Chaudhry, a ‘proud Congressi’ as well as a member of the Bharat Kisan Union as per his Twitter bio, tried to justify the sexual harassment by saying that ‘news hungry reporters’ who attempt to ‘forcefully’ take news bytes should be prosecuted too.

It is not clear how a reporter doing his or her job, even if they go over the top, could ever justify sexually harassing them. Preeti Choudhry said that if someone does not want to give a ‘bite’, then they shouldn’t give but they should refrain from pinching their buttocks.

Meanwhile, even as the eight rounds of talks between the central government and the farmers’ union remained inconclusive, the demonstrators have stepped up their efforts to pressure the Centre into accepting their demands. A new protest site has come up at Gangaicha border in Rewari even as the protest in Manesar is gathering steam.

Until now, the Singhu border has been the protest site where the so-called farmers had camped in opposition to the newly introduced Farm Bills. The demonstrators have been stubbornly demanding the annulment of the three farm laws while the central government has said that the complete rollback of the laws is off the negotiation table.

‘Colonel Perez’ threatens ‘patriots’ will return to Washington DC carrying weapons, claims Trump told them to ‘fight like hell’

Celestino T Perez, who claims to be a retired colonel, has threatened of more violence ahead of the inauguration of Joe Biden as president on the 20th of January. In a post that has now gone viral on the internet, Colonel Perez, with the username @Colonel007 on the platform, has claimed that ‘patriots’ will return to Washington DC on the 19th of January with weapons.

The announcement by Colonel Perez comes at the backdrop of massive violence at Washington DC when supporters of incumbent president Donald Trump stormed Capitol Hill and breached the premises of the US seat of governance. They entered Nancy Pelosi’s office and basically ran amok.

‘Colonel Perez’ claims ‘patriots’ will return to Washington DC a day before Joe Biden becomes US President

Colonel Perez said in the post, “Today, January 6, 2021, We patriots by the millions, have arrived in Washington, D.C., carrying banners of support for the greatest President the world has ever known. Bit (sic) if we must… Many of Us will return on January 19, 2021, carrying Our weapons, in support of Our nation’s resolve, to which the world will never forget!!!”

He continued, “We will come in numbers that no standing army or police agency can match. However, the police are NOT Our enemy, unless they choose to be! All who will not stand with the American Patriots… or who cannot stand with Us… then, that would be a good time for YOU to take a few vacation days.”

There’s another post of his that has gone viral where he claims that Donald Trump has told them to “fight like hell”. In that post, he says, “Today Eric Trump said that he would physically fight with the Patriots to save Our country. Today Representative Mo Brooks, asked the Patriots to pledge Our live and wealth to fight for Our country. And today President Trump told Us to “fight like hell”.”

He continued, “He said that Our cause was a matter of national security, and that these people behind the massive fraud must be arrested and brought to justice. And that task, falls on the shoulders of We The People…. the American Patriots.”

“So over the next 24 hours, I would say, lets get our personal affairs in order. Prepare Our weapons, and then go get’em . Lets hunt these cowards down like the Traitors that each of them are. This includes, RINOS, Dems, and Tech Execs. We now have the green light. [All] who resist Us, are enemies of Our Constitution, and must be treated as such,” it states.

Colonel Perez has made his account private on Parler. Capitol Hill witnessed massive violence that was condemned by leaders around the world. A woman was shot at the protests who died afterwards. Explosives were discovered at the RNC and DNC. Social media platforms had locked Trump’s account following the incident.

Another protest site springs up amidst the persisting stalemate between farmers and the central government over the Farm Bills

Even as the eight rounds of talks between the central government and the farmers’ union remained inconclusive, the demonstrators have stepped up their efforts to pressure the Centre into accepting their demands. A new protest site has come up at Gangaicha border in Rewari even as the protest in Manesar is gathering steam.

Until now, the Singhu border has been the protest site where the so-called farmers had camped in opposition to the newly introduced Farm Bills. The demonstrators have been stubbornly demanding the annulment of the three laws while the central government has said that the complete rollback of the laws is off the negotiation table.

Meanwhile, the All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee working group has made a clarion call for large and wide mobilisations during protests on January 13, 18, 23 and 26.

After the talks with the government fell flat, the AIKSCC working group stated that its fight to repeal the three farm laws is to “protect environment, river and forest resources and save the seed sovereignty of the country”.

AIKSCC continues scaremongering against the new farm laws

Continuing its scare-mongering against the Farm Bills, AIKSCC working group said Corporates and MNCs had no interest in providing food to the hungry. It stated that Corporates and MNCs will work towards utilising agriculture markets to reap profits by gaining control of the agriculture markets and farm processes.

“It is not just Gov. procurement and PDS, already this year Modi Govt has decided to free up the supply of wheat, rice, jowar, bajra, barley and others for conversion into alcohol to be mixed in fuel. The poor man’s food will serve as rich man’s fuel,” AIKSCC said.

Preening themselves on the ongoing farm protests, the AIKSCC said that the protests is fostering unity and communal harmony by farmers of different states is sending a message of sacrifice and deep consideration for the neighbour as against the corporate culture of serving self-interest.

“The wide, deep unity amongst farming people being created will end the attempts to sow regional dissensions over the division of water & will create an atmosphere where water resources are salvaged from corporate loot & are used more efficiently for farming & peoples’ development,” it said.

The eighth round of talks between the Centre and the demonstrators ends on an inconclusive note

It is pertinent to note that the eighth round of talks held between the demonstrating farmers’ union and the central government ended up without a comprehensive solution, just like the previous seven talks. The next round of talks will be held on January 15.

The meeting between the representatives of the protesters and the central government, which took place at the Vigyan Bhawan, had hit a roadblock within first few minutes as the demonstrators remained adamant on their maximalist stance of complete rollback of the farm laws. However, the Centre ruled out a complete withdrawal of Acts, asserting the laws have been welcomed by a large section of farmers in other states across the country and asked the unions to bear in mind the interests of the entire country.

Salman Nizami claims his account was ‘hacked’ in 2013 when he made the derogatory rape tweets: Here’s what we found

Congress leader Salman Nizami had made some vile and disgusting tweets merely a month after the Nirbhaya rape and murder case. In the January 2013 tweets, Salman Nizami said that ‘only attractive women are raped’, ‘women provoke sexual harassment’ and that women are ‘asking for trouble’ when they dress ‘provocatively’ among other things. Those tweets have now gone viral.

In his initial defense, Salman Nizami made a bizarre comment. He claimed that he was a journalist in 2013. It isn’t clear how that makes any difference. He arrogantly berated people on social media, “Now sit down!” Naturally, when people refused to do so, he came with another line of defense.

Salman Nizami claims his account was hacked
Salman Nizami claims his account was hacked

He now claims that his account was hacked by Pakistani hackers. He said, “BJP IT cell attacking me for tweets of 2013 which I never wrote & they circulate from time to time when dejection takes them over. Old disease of the BJP. Shameful!” But there are a few problems with the line of defense he has chosen.

First and foremost, there are numerous grammatical and spelling errors in the newspaper clip shared by the Congress leader. Pioneer is spelled as ‘Pionner’, ‘some friends’ is written as ‘some friend’s’ and the date Feb 5 looks extremely odd as well.

The news clip shared by Salman Nizami has numerous errors
The news clip shared by Salman Nizami has numerous errors

Furthermore, it doesn’t say which newspaper carried the headline. On the whole, it looks extremely dubious and is a complete volte-face from the first line of defense taken by Salman Nizami, which was that he was a journalist back then.

We delved into the internet for more information regarding the matter and found that it is not the first time that Salman Nizami had made such claims. In 2017, prior to the Gujarat Assembly Elections, Prime Minister Modi had targeted the Congress party over derogatory comments made by the Congress leader.

Salman Nizami had then said, “I had filed a police complaint in 2015 when my fake Twitter account was created. Five to six accounts in my name were created. I have never used such words.” “How can the Prime Minister quote from a fake Twitter account? Somebody may have hacked my account, who knows,” he had said.

The comments were made from his verified account on Twitter, so it could not have been a fake account. Moreover, his comments from back then shows that he believed someone ‘may have hacked’ his account. Also, the repulsive tweets on rape he made in the aftermath of the Nirbhaya rape and murder were from January 2013, that is two years prior to the police complaint he claims to have filed over fake accounts.

DNA reported in December 2017 that the derogatory tweets made by Salman Nizami went as far back as 2011, that is 4 years before he claims to have filed a police complaint. In a 2013 tweet, he had written, “Rahul Gandhi overheard whispering during the Republic Day parade: Mummy, if the whole army is here, who is guarding the border right now?”

He had told DNA back then, “Back in 2013 after I had written an article in a national daily against terrorists, several accounts had been made in my name and I was defamed through them. Again in 2015 such things happened and I had lodged a police complain.” Again, this is not a case of hacking that he is alleging.

Fake accounts being created in one’s name is not the same as his account being hacked. Moreover, as we have pointed out earlier, the rape tweets could not have been from a fake account as they were made from his verified handle. Therefore, his hacking claims appear dubious unless some solid evidence is produced.

Also, it is unclear why he did not remove the tweets after he regained access to his Twitter account if his account was indeed ‘hacked’. This January, it will be eight years since the tweets were made. It is unclear why he is deleting them only now.

“Dire need to strengthen army because India never had the government it has today in the last 73 years”: Pakistan PM Imran Khan in a viral video

In an undated video that has gone viral on the internet, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan could be seen stressing the need to strengthen the Pakistani Armed Forces in the face of the threat posed by the current Indian regime. Expressing fear over the Modi government, Khan said that India had never had such a government in the last 73 years.

Khan was presumably speaking in a rally when he cautioned this country to the pressing need of strengthening the Pakistani forces as the threat quotient has increased significantly under the Modi government in India.

“If there’s ever a need to strengthen Pakistan’s Armed Forces, it is now. And why is it needed so? Because in the last 73 years, there has never been a government like the one with have in India today,” Pakistan PM Imran Khan said.

The clip appears to be a part of the 73rd Independence Day reportage broadcasted by the Lahore-based 92 News channel. Khan’s fearful apprehensions about the Indian government underscores the Modi regime’s nationalistic credentials. The misgivings evoked by the current Indian government in Pakistani Prime Minister is grounded in the audacious decisions taken by PM Modi in the last 6 years of his rule.

Modi government irreversibly alters the terms of relationship with Pakistan

Ever since PM Modi came to power, it has shunned the Congress policy of overlooking repeated transgressions committed by Pakistan. It has given a free rein to the Armed Forces along the border and granted them greater autonomy to neutralise Pakistani terrorists trying to infiltrate into India. Arguably, for the first time, Pakistan has been made aware of the consequences it would invite by sponsoring and promoting terror activities in India.

The Modi government did not hesitate to order a Surgical Strike just days after Pakistani terrorists killed about 18 Indian soldiers in Uri sector in 2016. Eleven days after the fateful terror attack, the Indian Armed Forces on 29 September 2016 surreptitiously crossed the Line of Control in the dead of night and conducted surgical strikes against suspected militants in Pakistani-occupied Kashmir.

Three years later in 2019, the Modi government ordered airstrikes at a Jaish-e-Muhammad terror camp, perched deep inside Pakistan. On 14 February 2019, a JeM trained terrorist rammed his explosives-laden car with the CRPF convoy, killing 40 soldiers. Twelve days later on 26 February 2019, Indian fighter jets dropped precision-guided bombs on the JeM terror camp in Balakot, killing somewhere close to 200-300 terrorists.

Months later, the Indian government invalidated Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir and paved the way for the longstanding integration of the state with the Indian Union. The move had naturally irked Pakistan and it has been ranting and raving since August 2019 over the annulment of Article 370. But the Indian government has made it amply clear that Pakistan’s protestations won’t change the status quo. Instead, the Modi government has now shifted the conversation from Jammu and Kashmir to the illegally captured territories of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

India has also intensified its efforts in isolating Pakistan through diplomatic channels. It has consistently exposed Islamabad’s patronage to anti-India terrorists on various global forums. India’s relentless efforts have led to the Financial Action Task Force(FATF) placing Pakistan into the grey list for its role of facilitating terror funding. With Islamabad teetering on the edge of an imminent financial collapse, the inclusion in the FATF’s grey list has imposed additional pressure on the Imran Khan government to avert the crisis. It has grudgingly started taking action against the terrorists operating on its soil, in a bid to avoid black-listing from the FATF.
