Freudian slip? After hounding IPS officer Nageshwar Rao, Siddharth Varadarajan unwittingly admits that he is working to destroy Hinduism

Senior IPS Officer Nageswara Rao opened a can of worms on social media recently after he highlighted the “Christo-Islamist” efforts dedicated towards undermining the Hindu Civilisation. In a series of pictures he posted on social media, he elucidated the elaborate manner in which mass media, education system, cinema and other avenues were completely hijacked by subversive elements to destroy Hinduism. As expected, it did not sit well with ‘secular-liberal’ intellectuals. One of the more prominent ones was Siddharth Varadarajan.

The Founding-Editor of The Wire claimed that it was ‘communal paranoia’ on the part of Nageswara Rao and proceeded to indulge in hysterics to slander the former interim-director of the CBI. Now, Siddharth Varadarajan appears to have finally revealed the actual reasons for his apocalyptic sermons.

Columnist and Lawyer Divya Kumar Soti replied to Varadarajan’s tweet saying that people like him had made a career out of undermining Hinduism. It was then that the American editor of The Wire had , what we call, a ‘Freudian slip’. Siddharth Varadarajan said in response to Soti, “If implementing these points helps some folks make a career, then negating them is also a path of career progression, no?” It was an unintended admission of the fact that he has been working to undermine the Hindu Civilisation.

Honest admission by Siddharth Varadarajan

Divya Soti had suggested that Siddharth Varadarajan was working to vilify Hinduism as collection of superstitions, Abrahamise Education, Abrahamise Media and Entertainment and shame Hindus about their identity, which would ultimately lead to the destruction of Hindu society. The Wire founding-editor appears to have unwittingly confirmed that he is indeed working towards the same.

Thus, his real objection to Nageswara Rao was due to the fact that his designs and those of his masters were exposed by the IPS officer. Siddharth Varadarajan tries to give the impression that working to negate the enemies of Hinduism is worthy of grave condemnation. And in doing so, he has amply revealed where his loyalties lie.

That he is working to undermine the Hindu Civilisation is evident from the coverage of The Wire. Recently, it published an article that claimed that Muslims have a greater claim to India than the Hindu community. On other occasions, The Wire has spread outright lies to paint the Muslim community as victims of Hindu bigotry.

Earlier, an FIR was filed against The Wire founding-editor for spreading fake news against Yogi Adityanath. It also published blatant fake news to accuse the Delhi Police of communal bigotry and persecuting Muslims in its investigations into the Delhi Riots.

Radio Mirchi’s RJ Sayema laments over criticism against Bakra Eid, gets reminded of her own statements against Diwali

Controversial radio jockey Sayema sparked another storm on Twitter after she chose to play the victim card over people’s opposition to animal slaughter during Bakr-Eid. Sayema insinuated that opposing the slaughter of animals during the Islamic festival is tantamount to not allowing Muslims to celebrate the festival ‘peacefully’.

She said on microblogging site Twitter, “It’s shameful that you don’t let a community celebrate a festival in peace, with joy and happiness!” It is unclear who exactly she meant by ‘you’.

The controversial tweet by RJ Sayema

Amusingly enough, RJ Sayema is not someone who awards the same courtesy to other communities herself. She is known to make negative comments during Hindu festivals intended specifically to dampen the festive mood during those festivals. Very obviously, she does not practice what she preaches and people on social media were quick to pounce on that.

One festival that Sayema has attacked often enough is Diwali and the bursting of crackers during the festival. And screenshots of her tweets speaking out against the festival went viral on social media following her Bakr-Eid tweet.

A joke that has been doing the rounds says, “Hypocrisy ki bhi Sayema hoti hai!”

People on social media also reminded her that the whole charade about not letting her community ‘celebrate a festival in peace’ falls flat on its face because of the extensive campaign that is launched ahead of every Hindu festival. Sayema herself has been at the forefront of such campaigns often.

Quite clearly, RJ Sayema is an individual who frequently attempts to dampen the festive spirit of other communities but wants everyone to remain silent on the open, and often illegal slaughter of animals during Bakr-Eid. The Radio Mirchi jockey’s communal, anti-Hindu mindset is well documented.

During the protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act, RJ Sayema had incited a mob to gather outside the Police headquarters in Delhi. She had also mounted a resolute defence for the atrocious indefensible conduct of the Tablighi Jamaat while spreading the Wuhan Coronavirus.

Watch: Chinese govt mouthpiece tweets video of ‘world’s largest’ amphibious aircraft with a mysterious helicopter appearing out of nowhere

On Sunday, Chinese Communist government’s mouthpiece, People’s Daily tweeting a video where it claimed that the world’s largest amphibious aircraft was taking off at Shandong airport for a test flight.

If you notice closely, till around 7 seconds, there is no helicopter. But within fraction of second a helicopter appears out of nowhere hovering above the aircraft.

Netizens were quite amused at the phantom helicopter.

Some even expressed concerns over the safety and life of the person who might’ve edited this video of phantom helicopter.

This will not be the first time China would have used tackily edited videos for propaganda. In 2011, the Chinese Armed Forces had tried to pass off a video of the 1986 Hollywood iconic movie “Top Gun” starring Tom Cruise as the footage of a PLA Air Force training exercise.

As soon as they were caught, the People’s Liberation Army had faced a severe embarrassment and were quick to pull the video.

Ahead of his questioning by Mumbai Police in Sushant Singh Rajput death case, Mahesh Bhatt posts cryptic tweet

On Sunday, Anil Deshmukh, Home Minister, Maharashtra, said that Bollywood director Mahesh Bhatt would be summoned for questioning in connection to the investigation into the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. On Monday, hours before the interrogation, Mahesh Bhatt has posted a cryptic tweet saying, “We are here for a blink of an eye. Pride dissolves in the presence of death. May we accept our mortality. This too shall pass.”

Mahesh Bhatt and his family have been accused of nepotism and ganging up on actors without godfathers. His arrogance and borderline predator attitude have been the topic of discussion in the last few days. During an interview on Republic TV, actor Kangana Ranaut accused him of abusive behaviour. Mahesh Bhatt, Pooja Bhatt and Soni Razdan posted cryptic messages on their social media profiles after the claims made by Ranaut.

Bhatt has been in the news for many wrong reasons ranging from supporting Zakir Naik to causing problems in the lives of struggling actors. Along with Mahesh Bhatt, several other Bollywood celebrities, film critics, producers etc. have been summoned by the police including Karan Johar, Rajeev Masand, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and more.

Since Sushant Singh Rajput’s alleged suicide, people have raised voice against ‘film mafia’ and nepotism in the industry. Sonu Nigam, Kangana Ranaut, Ranveer Shorey and many others have come forward to support the narrative against nepotism.

Nation pays tribute to the ‘People’s President’ Dr APJ Abdul Kalam on his 5th death anniversary

Today, July 27, 2020, marks the 5th death anniversary of unarguably one of the most popular Presidents of India–Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, fondly called as ‘Missile Man of India’. Be it for his stint in politics or for his unparalleled contribution towards India’s scientific progress, the former President of India inspired people from all walks of life, not just in India but from across the world, particularly drawing affection from children and students, among whom he was widely popular.

In one of the videos shared by social media users, Dr Kalam can be seen interacting with children where a girl asks him what made him believe in last benchers of classrooms. Dr Kalam says how he was one of the last-benchers and everyone has got knowledge. “A good teacher doesn’t care whether one is a first bencher or last bencher,” he says.

Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam, popularly known as APJ Abdul Kalam was born on October 15, 1931, at Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu. His initial life was filled with struggles and hardships as he reportedly sold newspapers door-to-door to support his education and family. He studied physics and specialised in Aerospace Engineering from Madras Institute of Technology.

He served as a scientist and science administrator at the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). Kalam was nicknamed as ‘Missile Man of India’ for his pivotal contribution in the indigenous development of ballistic missile and launch vehicle technology in India.

In a question to ‘how did you become so great’? he explained how dreaming, hard work and perseverance is important for success.

Kalam also played an instrumental role in carrying out India’s Pokhran-II nuclear tests in 1998, the first since the original nuclear tests by India in 1974. In 2002, Kalam became the 11th President of India under the BJP-led government at centre headed by Atal Bihari Vajpayee and then under UPA government with Manmohan Singh as the Prime Minister.

Dr APJ Abdul Kalam was also a recipient of a large number off prestigious awards such as Padma Bhushan (1981), Padma Vibhushan (1990), Bharat Ratna (1997), and Veer Savarkar Award (1998).

Kalam was also a prolific writer, authoring a range of books. His notable work includes- India 2020(1998), Wings of Fire(1999), Ignited Minds(2002), Indomitable Spirit(2006) and many others. One of the reasons why he enjoyed a huge popularity among children was his books, which targeted the younger minds and galvanised them into broadening their vision and expanding their dreams.

Top quotes by Kalam included-“Small aim is a crime. Have the courage to think different, invent, travel to unexplored parts, combat the problem and succeed”, “The best brains of the nation may be found on the last benches of the classroom”, “Don’t take rest after your first victory because if you fail in second, more lips are waiting to say that your first victory was just luck”.

Kalam breathed his last at the age of 83 on 27 July 2015 in Shillong. His last rites were performed in his hometown of Rameswaram, where he was buried with full state honours.

Himachal man sold his cow to buy mobile for daughter’s education? Read how media manipulated report and mocked his poverty

A few days ago, several media outlets ran a news report about a poor man selling his cow to repay the debt he took to buy his daughter a mobile phone. The reports tried to highlight the economic fallout of the coronavirus pandemic faced by a large swathe of the poor and underprivileged people in the throes of grinding poverty.

The story instantly went viral and garnered a groundswell of sympathy for the man, who had to resort to the desperate measure of trading his livestock to ensure that his daughter’s online classes remain unimpeded.

NDTV published a report claiming man sold his cow to buy a smartphone

With the coronavirus outbreak forcing schools and educational institutes to go online, the report published in NDTV claimed that the man named Kuldip Kumar had to force sell his cow so as to afford a mobile phone and pay for her school fees, ensuring that the contagion does not deprive her of her opportunity to learn.

NDTV report on Himachal Pradesh man

The report published by NDTV further added that after the touching story of a father trying to ensure his daughter’s school and online classes continue unhampered in the wake of the economic setback induced by the coronavirus pandemic went viral, the Himachal Pradesh state administration swung into action, offering financial relief to the family. The report added that Mr Kumar was offered his cow back but he refused to take it. Instead, he asked the authorities to get his decrepit house to be repaired under the central scheme and to be listed as a Below Poverty Line family.

The Tribune claimed the man could not secure a loan and thus sold his cow for purchasing a smartphone

Similarly, The Tribune also carried the news, stating the man from the Gummer village in Jwalamukhi, Himachal Pradesh, sold his cow—his “only source of income” for Rs 6,000— to support the online studies of his two children.

Report published in The Tribune

The Tribune, in its report, claimed that Mr Kumar told the media organisation that for a month he desperately sought loan of Rs 6,000 to buy a smartphone but was denied by the banks and private lenders on account of his poor financial condition.

In contrast to the NDTV report which said that Kumar managed to get a loan to buy a smartphone, the Tribune report stated that after exhausting all his means to secure a loan for buying a smartphone, Kuldip sold his cow for Rs 6,000 purchased a smartphone for the education of his children.

Many other media organisations picked up the report published by The Tribune

In addition to NDTV and The Tribune, news agency IANS picked up the story and several other media organisations cited The Tribune and the shared the poignant story about a desperate and a helpless father sacrificing his source of income for securing the future of his children as coronavirus continues to ravage the country.

While many news outfits shared the story alleging that the man sold his cow to help his children’s online studies, the officials of the district administrations fact-checked some of the claims made in the reports.

District Administration says the cow was sold by Mr Kumar of his own volition

The district administration reached out to Mr Kumar and found that he has seven animals in his cowshed and he takes care of his family by selling milk.

Furthermore, puncturing the claims made in the above news reports that Mr Kumar is suffering from crippling poverty and had no means to buy a smartphone for the online classes of his children, the district officials alleged that his children have expensive books and are studying in a private school despite a government school in the vicinity of their house.

As the news of Mr Kumar being forced to sell his cows to pay for his children’s school fees and buy a smartphone went viral, the district authorities visited his house to collect information about the forced sale. The probe by the authorities revealed that Mr Kumar sold his cow of his own volition to one Surendra Mohan of the same village for Rs 6,000 because he had no place to provide shelter to his animals in the rainy season.

Furthermore, the investigation revealed that the mobile phone which was bought for the education of his children was purchased 3 months ago on April 30. It has also come to notice that Mr Kuldip Kumar has been nominated for a new house under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana by the panchayat.

The Deputy Commissioner of Kangra district, Rakesh Prajapati, added that the facts on the ground are far away from reality. He said that the SDM and Tehsildar of Sub Divisional Jawalamukhi have done a thorough investigation about this family. He claimed that the family had been living in the cowshed of their own accord and the cow was sold voluntarily. He rejected the assertions made in the news reports, stating that the intent behind selling the cow was misreported by the news organisations.

The Deputy Commissioner also said that the man was offered by the administration that the cow can be rebought and given to the man but he has refused to take the cow because he has no place to keep the animal.

Indian government bans 47 Chinese apps operating as ‘clones’ of the earlier banned apps

A month after the Government of India (GOI) banned TikTok and 58 other Chinese apps from operating in India, it has now reportedly blocked access to an additional 47 Chinese applications on Friday. As per reports, the freshly banned apps operated as ‘clones’ of the earlier banned apps. Reportedly, the government will soon release the list of the said apps.

As per reports, the government is also drawing up a list of 250 other Chinese apps in light of user privacy and national security violations. Reportedly, the said apps include top Chinese gaming applications. The 250 apps are now being reviewed after allegations that the user data is shared with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) have surfaced.

Indian Government bans 59 Chinese apps

Earlier, the Indian government had red-flagged usage of 59 China-linked apps, including TikTok as being a threat to national security. The Ministry of Information Technology, invoking its power under section 69A of Information Technology Act, ordered a block on the use of 59 apps saying that these apps are “engaged in activities which are prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, the security of the state and public order”.

The Ministry said that it has recently been receiving complaints from various sources including several reports about the misuse of some mobile apps available on Android and iOS platforms for stealing and surreptitiously transmitting users’ data in an unauthorised manner to servers which have a location outside India.

Samrin Bano becomes Sakshi Sharma to cheat people and collect donations, Indore police debunk claims of ‘stray dog shelter home’ woman

In a viral video shared widely on social media recently, a woman allegedly named Sakshi Sharma sought help from the public over the alleged ill-treatment meted to her and her fostered dogs, at the hands of people running slaughterhouses in the vicinity of her neighbourhood. She had alleged the Tilak Nagar police in Indore of negligence, inaction, and misogynist behaviour.

In the said video, the had claimed that she has provided shelter to 40-45 handicapped stray dogs with her own earnings. She alleged that cattle owners would graze their animals illegally to cater to slaughterhouses nearby. “I cannot go out after 5 pm in the evening. Those who run these slaughterhouses take drugs and gather outside my house every day. When I complained to the Tilak Nagar police, they blamed it on my unmarried life and the absence of a husband,” she claimed in the viral video.

“I don’t leave this place, thinking about the fate of these dogs,” she said. The woman claimed that the people who run the slaughterhouses had murdered her dog and the carcass went missing following a post-mortem. She said that another puppy that she fostered was also missing. In the viral video, the woman also alleged that attempts have been made to outrage her modesty and accused the local cops of harassment.

Indore Police debunks allegations made by ‘Sakshi Sharma’

On Monday, India’s largest animal welfare organisation People for Animals shared a video of Indore police after a woman allegedly named Sakshi Sharma sought help from the public due to ‘police inaction’ over her repeated complaints. “Her primary concern was that cattle owners would graze their animals in the area, thereby causing inconvenience to her dogs. We have directed our officers to resolve the issue. Having said that, the cattle owners to need to earn their livelihood,” the police personnel was quoted as saying.

Dismissing claims of ‘inaction’ by law enforcement, the Indore police informed that a case was registered on March 9 against one Sobha Ram. As per Indore police, the First Information Report (FIR) was lodged on the basis of her complaint under Sections 112, <> 323, 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The cop stated that even though the accused was arrested, the ‘dog lover’ chose to make baseless claims about negligence on the part of the police.

Samrin Bano became Sakshi Sharma to collect money

“There is no threat to her life… We have summoned accused Sobha Ram and security guard Rathi Ram to the Chowk… We have also inquired about her missing puppy. The guard had brought pet supplies for the woman on multiple occasions but was barred from doing so by his employers. She then threatened to implicate him in a false case,” the cop revealed.

On further investigation, the Indore police discovered that the woman was an imposter and operated under the name of Sakshi Sharma, instead of her original name, ‘Samrin Bano.’ Reportedly, she is a resident of Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. The police personnel stated that multiple cases were lodged against her in several police stations, including Noida and Dadri. According to him, the woman would operate with pseudonyms in different States in the country.

After the woman’s video went viral, People For Animals took to social media to inform that the woman is actually an imposter who has been trying to defraud people in the name of sheltering handicapped stray dogs.

People For Animals also shared on Twitter claiming that the woman in the video is a fraud and she has collected donations in the name of stray dogs multiple times in the past, running away eventually with the collected sum without paying rent to house owners in several cities.

In the statement, PFA also shared that the woman picks up stray dogs, clicks pictures with them and appeals to people for donations. The organisation also stated that the said woman has collected huge sums of money from people in Goa, Punjab, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Noida for “dogs she does not have”. PFA also stated that the women is operating under a false Hindu name.

Neighbours say she abuses her dogs

The cop informed that a case was registered against the said woman, on the complaint of one Nitish Kumar Tripathi, at Aerodrum police station. The complainant had accused Bano of not paying rent to the tune of ₹30,000. According to the police officer, several neighbours had informed that the woman displays ‘cruel behaviour’ with her dogs. She also physically assaults her puppies at night and yell expletives at them, thereby causing inconvenience to the people around her.

Indore police also informed that in their investigation they have found that the woman has several social media accounts under different names and uses them to collect money for those ‘stray dogs’. The woman reportedly has multiple police complaints filed against her in several cities for non-payment of rent and transport dues.

Bon Voyage: First batch of five Rafale jets leave for India. Watch video as they soar the sky

Today, on 27th July, the first batch of five Rafale jets took off from France airbase to join Indian Air Force fleet. The Indian Ambassador to France, Jawed Ashraf, was present at the airbase in France. He interacted with the Indian pilots and wished them a safe flight to India with a single hop. The jets will get refuelled by French Air Force tanker aircraft on their way to an airbase in UAE. After a short break at UAE base, the jets will leave for India.

In a press release issued by Indian Embassy in France, they said that India took a significant step in strengthening airpower and defence preparedness. The jets will fly from Merignac airbase in Bordeaux, France to India. The statement read, “in accordance with the contract, Indian Air Force pilots and supporting personnel have been provided full training on aircraft and weapon system by Dassault. India and France have a long history of cooperation in fighter aircraft, which includes India’s acquisition of French Toofanis in 1953, then Mystere, Jaguars and the Mirages. “In a gesture of friendship, the Government of France will also send an aircraft with medical equipment and experts on 26th July to support India’s efforts against the Covid-19 pandemic.

Press release by Indian Embassy in France

The delivery of the first batch of Rafale jets was delayed due to Covid-19 pandemic. These five jets will join Indian Air Force fleet in Ambala in Haryana on 29th July. Last week, IAF said, “IAF aircrew and ground crew have undergone comprehensive training on the aircraft, including its highly advanced weapons systems and are fully operational now. Post arrival, efforts will focus on operationalisation of the aircraft at the earliest.”

The IAF may deploy Rafales in Ladhak amid increasing tension between India and China. Recently, India decided to equip the modern fighter jet with lethal HAMMER missile along with other high-end weapons. The jets have some India-specific modifications including radar warning receivers, helmet-mounted displays, tracking systems and infra-red search. HAMMER is capable of destroying targets in 60-70 KM range.

Till now 12 IAF pilots have completed training to fly Rafale jets. Though most of the pilots will get training in France, some of them will undergo training in India. During a telephonic conversation between Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and his French counterpart Florence Parly, she conveyed that Rafale jets will be delivered as per schedule.

India is spending around Rs.60,000 crore on the jets. 30 out of 36 jets will be added for combat roles while six jets will be for training purpose. The training jets will have most of the combat capabilities.

The story of Rafale

During the UPA era, the Indian government planned to procure 126 MMRCA jets. The idea was scrapped for the previous NDA government. During a visit to France in 2016, PM Modi signed an inter-government agreement with France and ordered 36 Rafale fighter jets.

Since the NDA government announced the procurement of Rafale jets, the opposition parties, primarily Congress, are accusing the Modi government over price, the number of jets, offset contracts and alleged bypassing of HAL among other. A petition was also filed against the deal in Supreme Court, but the judgment was in favour of the NDA government. A review petition for the same was also rejected. Rahul Gandhi called PM Modi a thief and used the slogan “Chowkidar Chor Hai” for which he had to apologize in front of the court.

The remaining fighter jets will be delivered in the next few years. As per the agreement, the last batch will reach India by September 2021.

“We believe Ram was our ancestor”, Muslim Ram Bhakts set to witness Bhoomi Pujan for grand Ram temple

When Times of India spoke to one Jamshed Khan, a resident of Ayodhya city formerly known as Faizabad, he said that changing one’s religion did not change his ancestors. “We believe Ram was our ancestor and we will celebrate with our Hindu brothers,” he said. Another devotee of Lord Ram, Saeed Ahmed, informed that he will be in Ayodhya to celebrate the construction of the majestic Ram temple. Ahmed, who identifies himself as a ‘devout Muslim’ and has been to a pilgrimage to Mecca, is also of the belief that Lord Ram is ‘Imam-e-Hind’.

Reportedly, the in-charge of Muslim Rashtriya Manch (Awadh) Dr. Anil Singh informed that there are several Muslim Kar sewaks across India who will attend the Bhoomi Pujan celebrations in Ayodhya. Another resident, Rashid Ansari, said that it would be a blessing to get a chance to enter the sanctum sanctorum. He emphasised, “If the security ring prevents our entry, we will still celebrate the moment from the peripheries.” Another Ram Bhakt named Faiz Khan will be carrying bricks for the Ram Mandir from his ancestral village in Chhattisgarh.

PM Modi, LK Advani to participate in Bhoomi Pujan

The ceremony will be a culmination of three-day Vedic rituals performed by sages from Varanasi. The ceremony will also involve the placing of a 40-kg silver brick at the sanctum sanctorum. BJP stalwart and former deputy prime minister LK Advani, who was instrumental in shaping the Ram Mandir movement, is likely to accompany Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the Ram Mandir’s Bhoomi puja in Ayodhya. The PM is set to visit the Ram Janmabhoomi on August 5, when the Bhoomi Pujan is expected to be performed.
