Bareilly: Mohammad Arif traps a Hindu girl from Bihar, converts her to Islam; brother Talib also raped and assaulted her

Bareilly district in Uttar Pradesh has become a hotbed of grooming jihad cases. In another such case, a Hindu girl from Bihar has accused Mohammad Arif of luring her into a love trap and then forcing her to convert to Islam. Arif’s brother, Mohammad Talib, also raped the woman, and when she objected, she was brutally assaulted and threatened with murder.

Hindu organisations have urged the administration to take strict action against the offenders. This incident came to light on the 4th of June in the Baheri police station area of Bareilly. The victim, a Sunninagar resident, filed a complaint with the police.

In her complaint, the victim stated that she is originally from Bihar’s Nawada area. She used to work in Delhi where met Mohammad Arif, a resident of Bareilly. After some time, Arif trapped the girl in his love trap and brought the woman to his residence in Bareilly’s Baheri. During this time, he raped her multiple times and pressurised the victim to convert to Islam around a year ago.

Arif converted her to Islam, renamed the Hindu girl as Sana, and performed Nikah with her. The victim said she was alone at home when at 2 AM, Arif’s brother Mohammad Talib entered the victim’s room and started making obscene gestures at her. Talib raped the girl even as she protested.

When the victim threatened to complain, Talib responded, “You’re from Bihar anyway. If you tell anyone about this, I will kill you.” The victim somehow spent the night, and when Arif returned home the next day (5th June), she told him about her brother Talib’s act, however, Arif supported his brother and blamed the victim.

Following this, Arif, his brother Talib, and his father Sabir Islam severely assaulted the victim. They all slandered the woman, saying, “Bitch, if you complain about this to anyone, we will burn you to death. Your body won’t be found. Anyway, bodies of girls from other places have been found in significant numbers at the Baheri police station.”

The woman has voiced fear of being murdered, describing the accused as controlling and criminal-minded. The victim has also demanded severe punishment for the perpetrators. OpIndia has a copy of the complaint. Meanwhile, Himanshu Patel, an official of Bareilly’s Hindu organisation, has urged the police to take stern action against the perpetrators while also protecting the victim’s life.

Fitness ‘influencer’ Rajat Dalal arrested in Ahmedabad for abducting, assaulting and urinating on student’s face over a social media post

Rajat Dalal, an Instagram fitness influencer and bodybuilder was arrested by Ahmedabad police for abducting and torturing an 18-year-old boy for an Instagram post he shared on his account. The incident came to light when the student posted a viral video on his social media account.

According to reports, Rajat Dalal abducted the college student, forced him to clean a toilet, and subjected him to cruel treatment, including smearing cow dung on his face. Rajat Dalal aggressively attacked the student and also urinated on his face. He then proceeded to threaten the student and his mother, leading to the filing of a complaint against him and his subsequent arrest.

Following Rajat Dala’s arrest, a video surfaced on social media in which, at first, you can see a snippet of the post the student had shared of Rajat in the gym. he had captioned the post, “roz subha apna muh gym me dikhaker mera din kharab karta hai”. This is followed by a small video where it can be seen that Rajat Dalal and his friends are hitting the kid in the car and asking him to call Rajat Dalal “Papa” and apologize for sharing the post on social media.

With 1 million followers on Instagram, bodybuilder, Instagram fitness influencer, and power-lifter Rajat Dalal, known for his extreme fitness videos, has a huge fan base.

The incident, reportedly, occurred after the student posted a video on his social media account of Rajat in the gym with the caption “roz subha apna muh gym me dikhaker mera din kharab karta hai”. After the post went viral on social media, Rajat called the boy and asked him to meet him outside his society. When the boy arrived, Rajat with his aides abducted him.

Rajat Dalal and his aides then assaulted the boy verbally and physically. “How dare you make my video? I will cut you into pieces and not spare you,” he reportedly told the student as they took him to a cowshed where they smeared his face with cow dung.

Later they took him to a flat in the Green Gales Society in Jagatpur and made him clean a toilet while assaulting him continuously. When the boy fell unconscious, Rajat Dalal allegedly urinated on the boy’s face. As the boy regained consciousness Rajat dropped him off to his mother. He made the student do squats infront of her and left the place after threatening them.

“I would have killed him, but he’s too young, so I am sparing him. I am a Jat from Haryana. I have big connections here. The police can’t harm me; they are in my pocket,” the fitness influencer allegedly told the victim’s mother before leaving.

Following the incident, the victim lodged a complaint at Sabarmati Police Station in Ahmedabad. This led to an investigation into the matter, resulting in Dalal and his three associates’ arrest.

The police registered a case against the influencer and his friends for abduction and assault.

Canadian Cancer Society calls cervix ‘the front hole’ so that trans people don’t get offended by their cervical cancer awareness page for LGBTQ

Gender identity politics has been reaching ridiculous and often outrageous levels in the West. While women in the UK are facing hatred and abuse for demanding something as basic as female-only bathrooms, in Canada, medical professionals are bending over backward to accommodate unscientific, outrageous ideas to appease the LGBTQ community.

The Canadian Cancer Society has added an apologetic explainer for having to use the word ‘cervix’ in an awareness page about cervical cancer. As if the mere existence of women’s body parts is offensive to the so-called trans community, the Canadian Cancer Society has appealed to trans people not to get offended by the term ‘cervix’.

screenshot from archived version of the page,

The cervical cancer awareness page with the headline ‘As a trans man or non-binary person assigned female at birth, do I need to get screened for cervical cancer?” attempts to explain, very politely, that even though trans men call themselves men, they are actually women. Same for non-binary people who were assigned ‘female at birth’.

Cosmin Dzsurdzsa had called out the Canadian Cancer Society for the offensive page in an article for True North.

The page reminds them that cervical cancer can still happen to them, as if that needed explaining.

The Human Papilloma Virus or HPV, or any cancerous cell for that matter, doesn’t care much about gender identity politics because in nature, biological sex is real. Humans are either male or female no matter how many gay pride flags they fly or how they ‘identify’ themselves as.

But the Canadian Cancer Society is so terrified to lay down simple biological facts that they add a footnote for the transpeople, apologising for the term ‘cervix’ used on the page.

SS from archived page of Canadian Cancer Society

The footnote under the title ‘words matter’, reads, “We recognize that many trans men and non-binary people may have mixed feelings about or feel distanced from words like ‘cervix’. You may prefer other words, such as “front hole”. We recognize the limitations of the words we have used while also acknowledging the need for simplicity. Another reason we use words like ‘cervix’ is to normalize that men can have these body parts too.”

So basically, The Canadian Cancer Society, an organisation dedicated to a biological reality called cancer, is pretending to be totally blind to the fundamental biological reality of gender dimorphism. Human males and human females are biologically different in their sex organs. Cervix is a part of female reproductive system and can get cancer. However, the Canadian Cancer Society is pampering the deranged notions that some people can just pretend not to be male or female and can go about thinking that gender-specific body parts exist as per their fantasy.

Page updated after outrage and condemnation?

Interestingly, the specific page reported here seems to have been changed and updated by the Canadian Cancer Society after some publications reported about the ‘front hole’ terminology. Cosmin Dzsurdzsa’s report caused a stir on Canadian social media and a lot of people slammed the Cancer Society for the outrageous page denigrating women by using terms like ‘front hole’.

The current page does not have the apologetic words or the footnote. It just tells that because trans women and non-binary persons assigned male at birth do not have a cervix, they do not need to get screened for cervical cancer.

Healthcare organisations denying the existence of women to appease LGBTQ politics

2 days ago, Ovarian Cancer Action, a UK-based organisation dedicated to awareness and research funding into ovarian cancer, claimed in a social media post that anyone with ovaries, regardless of the gender assigned at birth, can have ovarian cancer. Well, people with ovaries are called women.

Another problematic aspect of gender identity politics is the total denial and rejection of women’s rights and dignity. The term ‘Cervix’ is apparently offensive for trans people. The idea itself is an abhorrent manifestation of patriarchy that has for centuries denied the existence and rights of women.

Before this, some NHS hospitals in the UK were criticized for using terms like ‘chestfeeding’ instead of breastfeeding. One trust even went a step further and claimed that chemical secretion induced from the fake breasts of biological males calling themselves transwomen is the same as mother’s milk.

No, men do not have a cervix. Men have male body parts. Women have a cervix and are at risk of cervical cancer, just as men have the risk of prostate cancer. Trans politics can not change biological facts.

40 years of Operation Blue Star: Pro-Khalistan slogans raised at Golden Temple, SAD (Amritsar)’s chief Simranjit Mann among those raising the slogans

0

Pro-Khalistan slogans were raised by several people from the Sikh community at the Golden Temple in Amritsar on the 40th anniversary of Operation Blue Star on Thursday.

Protestors were carrying the posters of slain separatist leader Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale.

Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) chief Simranjit Singh Mann was also seen among the people raising slogans and displaying posters of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale at the Golden Temple premises.

Meanwhile, security has been beefed up around the Golden Temple.

“Security arrangements have been made here. Forces have been deployed and barricading has been done. Any untoward incident will be monitored,” said Senior Superintendent of Police SS Randhawa Singh.

Bhindranwale was the head of the radical Sikh outfit Damdami Taksal. He along with his armed followers was killed during Operation Blue Star launched by the Indian Army to flush out the militants from the Golden Temple complex in June 1984.

June 6, 1984, marked the day when the Indian Army, under Operation Blue Star, stormed into the Golden Temple on orders of the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi to contain Sikh militancy under the leadership of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale in Punjab. It was reported that Bhindranwale had stashed large quantities of arms on the Golden Temple premises.

The Operation was heavily criticised. Months later, Indira Gandhi was assassinated by two of her Sikh bodyguards at her New Delhi residence on October 31, 1984.

Beant Singh and Satwant Singh were Indira Gandhi’s bodyguards and killed her on October 31, 1984, at her residence.

In the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, Sarabjeet Singh Khalsa, son of Beant Singh (one of Indira Gandhi’s bodyguards) registered victory from the Faridkot constituency with a margin of 70,053 votes over Aam Aadmi Party leader Karamjit Singh Anmol.

Earlier, Lt Gen (retd) Kuldeep Singh Brar who led the 1984 Operation Bluestar to flush out extremists from the Golden Temple said that Late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had “allowed” militant leader Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale to grow into a sort of Frankenstein monster and decided to “finish him off” when he reached the pinnacle.

The retired 1971 war veteran, Lt Gen (retd) Brar in an interview with ANI said, “No one wants an operation, but what do you do? Indira Gandhi allowed him to become Frankenstein. You could see every year what was happening. But when he reached the pinnacle, now finish him off, now destroy him. It’s too late.”

He claimed that the then-political leadership had allowed the Bhindranwale cult to flourish.

“They had their own little problem support between Akali and Congress. They allowed this cult of Bhindranwale to continue,” the retired army officer had said.

Symbolic murder? DMK workers paste Annamalai’s picture on a goat before beheading it, had earlier eaten mutton biryani to ‘celebrate’ his loss

In a gruesome incident, DMK cadre were seen beheading a goat on camera and celebrating the BJP’s loss. The ‘beheading’ was symbolically targeted at state BJP president and former IPS officer K Annamalai. The party workers had pasted a picture of Annamalai on the goat’s body before beheading it on the road and hooting in joy.

On June 4, the DMK cadre in Coimbatore had held a victory march carrying a goat with a picture of Annamalai pasted on it. They declared that since Annamalai had been defeated, there will be ‘goat biriyani’ made.

Mutton biriyani was prepared and distributed to DMK workers and supporters to celebrate their victory in Coimbatore.

DMK uses the ‘goat’ (Aadu in Tamil) as a derogatory reference for K Annamalai because the BJP president belongs to a humble farming family that raises goats. Earlier, Annamalai had said before media that he owns no properties, except a few goats.

Responding to DMK’s constant mocking of him as ‘goat’, Annamalai had acknowledged that his family rears goats and his parents have raised him by selling goats. So he feels no shame in being compared to goats.

The goat reference by DMK for K Annamalai is also to counter his popularity as the ‘Singham’ (lion) in Karnataka where he was posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police in South Bengaluru.

On June 4, which also happened to be Annamalai’s birthday, he lost to DMK’s Ganapathy Rajkumar J from the Coimbatore Lok Sabha seat.

The ‘symbolic beheading’ has a wider political context

The symbolic ‘beheading’ of K Annamalai by DMK supporters in Tamil Nadu is not a singular incident. There have been many similar incidents where political rivals paste pictures of their opponents in effigies, animals to display the brutal mentality of public murder. In 2022, disturbingly realistic effigies of former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma, wearing saree and with her photo pasted on it, were ‘hung in public squares’ in Belgavi, Karnataka, in the same manner the Taliban and other Islamic radical groups punish anyone they do not like.

In 2021, the PFI had organised a rally in Kerala’s Tenhipalam town where they displayed the symbolic massacre of Hindus, by parading chained and bound individuals dressed in RSS uniform. 2021 was the centenary year of the Malabar massacre of Hindus.

The symbolic displays of violent acts may not be a crime on their own, but when done and supported by political groups they perpetrate a dangerous idea of mob justice and brutality, that eventually gets accepted by the masses. The political parties, by supporting such ‘symbolic’ acts of violence, indirectly tell their cadre and supporters that “one day, this will be ok, this will be celebrated.”

INDI alliance leader makes bizarre statement saying the mandate was for them, but not the numbers: Here is how the mandate and numbers both are with BJP and NDA

The 2024 Lok Sabha election results are out and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) headed by the BJP has unanimously selected Narendra Modi as their leader, paving the way for his return as Prime Minister of India for a historic third term in a row. As Modi is ready to take the oath of office for the third time on Saturday, June 8, making history as the first (and only) three-term prime minister of India since Congress’ Jawaharlal Nehru, the I.N.D.I. Bloc members are unwilling to step out of their delusional world.

Speaking to the media on June 5, after the I.N.D.I. Alliance meeting, ER Eswaran, General Secretary, Kongunadu Makkal Desia Katchi said that the people’s mandate is clearly for the I.N.D.I.A bloc, however, the odds are not in their favour and the circumstances are unfavourable.

“The mandate is clearly for the I.N.D.I.A bloc. But the situation is not conducive and numbers are not with us,” he was heard telling the reporters.

Using Tamil Nadu as an example, the Kongunadu Makkal Desia Katchi MLA explained that the I.N.D.I alliance could have gained power if the alliance remained intact in other states, presumably alluding to the internal divisions among the bloc’s members over seat allocation. It may be recalled how, before they could reach a seat-sharing formula, the opposition parties had bitterly fought among themselves.

However, what is done is done and ER Eswaran should once re-examine the numbers before making such a statement. While it is true that the BJP-led NDA has backed fewer seats this time, the BJP has nevertheless secured more seats on its own than the I.N.D.I. alliance has done collectively.

Though BJP’s performance fell considerably short of its achievements in both 2014 and 2019, it has still emerged as the single-largest party in the Lok Sabha by securing 240 seats in the 543-seat house. In contrast, the opposition I.N.D.I. alliance, led by the Congress party, has together secured 232 seats, 8 short of what the BJP has secured alone.

Though it will now need the backing of a coalition of allies to cross the 272-seat threshold, Modi’s party still retains the capacity to form the next government in India. Together with its allies, collectively known as the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), the BJP secured a total of 293 seats.

A party needs to win 272 of the 543 seats in the Lok Sabha to establish a government, and the results unequivocally demonstrate that the BJP-led NDA continues to have the mandate of the people of India and the numbers.

INDI alliance decides to not stake claim for government, says will continue to fight against Modi government

On Wednesday (June 5), Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge announced that the INDI alliance will not stake a claim at the government and continue to fight against the Modi government. A report by News 18 quoting sources said the INDI alliance will sit in the opposition and make no attempts to form a government at the centre.

The Congress president announced after the conclusion of the INDI alliance meeting at his residence earlier this evening.

Social media filled with rumours of 7 Independents and 3 MPs from smaller parties supporting NDA: Here is the reality

As PM Modi-led NDA is set to form the government for the third term with the support of 293 MPs, speculations have risen that more parties, both from INDI Alliance and currently unallied parties, can join the ruling alliance. In this context, a message is being spread on social media claiming that NDA is getting the support of 10 more MPs, including 7 independents and 3 from smaller parties.

While it is possible that some more MPs will extend support to NDA, the possibility of all 7 independents supporting the NDA, and NDA accepting their support, is virtually nil. This is because, the 7 independents include a Kashmiri Separatist, 2 Khalistani separatists and a politician with criminal history.

As OpIndia reported earlier, the 7 independent MPs include two Khalistanis from Punjab, Amritpal Singh and Sarabjeet Singh Khalsa. Pro-Khalistani separatist leader Amritpal Singh is the head of Waris Punjab De, and is currently lodged in Dibrugarh in Assam. He was arrested in April 2023 after a hunt of over a month by Punjab Police and central agencies, and were transported to Assam along with several of his associates. Singh is booked under NSA and other sections of the IPC.

Sarabjeet Singh Khalsa is the son of Beant Singh, convicted of assassinating former PM Indira Gandhi. Beant Singh and Satwant Singh, who were the bodyguards of the then Prime Minister, killed Indira Gandhi on October 31, 1984 at her residence. During the poll campaign, Sarabjeet Singh Khalsa raised the issue of alleged sacrilege incidents in Punjab. Notably, several persons have been killed in the state in recent times on sacrilege incidents.

The third independent MP is Abdul Rashid Sheikh who defeated Omar Abdullah in Baramulla. Sheikh is a Kashmiri separatist leader and currently lodged in Tihar under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). Popularly known as Engineer Rashid, he is the founder of the Jammu and Kashmir Awami Ittehad Party.

He was arrested by the National Investigation Agency on the charges of terror funding activities in 2019, becoming the first recognised leader to be arrested under UAPA.

Another independent MP is Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav, a strongman with a criminal past. He was a member of several parties like RJD, SP etc, and have been a member of parliament for five terms. He is an accused in cases of kidnapping and rioting and has a murder case pending against him in the Supreme Court.

All these 4 independent MPs are unlikely to support NDA. Moreover, it is not sure if Amritpal Singh and Abdul Rashid Sheikh will be able to secure bail to attend parliament. Therefore, there are only 3 independents, Umesh Babubhai Patel, Vishal Prakashbapu Patil and Mohmad Haneefa, who may or may not support NDA.

Among the other parties, which are not part of any of the two alliances, there are some parties which are unlikely to support NDA. This includes parties like YSRCP, AIMIM, and Chandrasekhar Azad from Aazad Samaj Party.

So far, only party which was not part of NDA before polls, Sikkim Krantikari Morcha with 1 MP, has extended support to NDA. This leaves only ruling ZPM in Mizoram with one MP, Shiromani Akali Dal with one MP, and Voice of the People Party (VoTPP) with one MP from Meghalaya, who can support NDA.

Therefore, from others and independents, NDA can get maximum 6 MPs, not 10 as being claimed. However, it is possible for current INDI Alliance partners to switch side and join NDA.

The possible confusion

The rumour of 10 more MPs supporting may have originated from the resolution of support passed by NDA partners at the alliance meeting held at PM Modi’s residence today. All parties which are members of NDA have signed the resolution extending support to the Modi govt. Apart from BJP, TDP, JD(U) and others, this includes 7 parties with one MP each.

These 7 parties are AGP, Apna Dal, AJSU Party, HAM, NCP, SKM and UPPL. Except for SKM, all other parties were already part of the pre-poll National Democratic Alliance, therefore these MPs were already part of 292 NDA MPs. With the addition of SKM, the number has gone up to 293. The news of 7 parties with one 1 MP each supporting NDA may have been misunderstood by someone, leading to the false claim, which was subsequently reshared by many others.

As of now, there is no report of any other party or independent MP supporting the NDA or INDI Alliance.

SEBI hurriedly appoints the wife of the Gandhi family’s close aide as a key panel chief after the 2024 Lok Sabha election results

In a seemingly hurried move amidst the developments around the formation of a new government at the centre, market regulator SEBI has appointed Usha Thorat, a close aide of the Gandhi family, to a key SEBI panel, as reported by Bussiness World on Wednesday (5th June). According to the report, SEBI appointed Usha Thorat as the Chairperson of the Committee on Settlement Guarantee Fund of Stock Exchanges.

It added that SEBI’s move to appoint Thorat as the head of the committee appears stranger on two counts: the timing and choice of candidate.

Notably, Usha Thorat is the wife of Yashwant Thorat. After retiring as the Chairman of NABARD in November 2007, he was made the CEO of the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation and continued to hold that post for well over a decade, the report added.

For those unversed, the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation is a private trust of the Gandhi Family. Sonia Gandhi is its chairperson and Rahul, Priyanka Gandhi, and P Chidambaram are other members of the board.

The Businessworld report points out that the CEO of the private trust indicates that Thorat has been a close aide of the Gandhi family. Additionally, when Congress-led UPA was in power and P Chidambaram and Dr KP Krishnan were heading the finance ministry, his wife Usha Thorat was appointed as the deputy governor of the Reserve Bank of India.

Furthermore, when Ravi Narain and Chitra Ramkrishna were calling the shots in the UPA Era and KPK held sway over SEBI, Thorat was also made the NSE board member.

Thus, the appointment of Usha Thorat as the head of a crucial SEBI committee on the day of election results showed that some higher-ups in SEBI lacked trust in PM Modi’s return to power and were making appointments of people known to be close to the Gandhi Family, Palak Shah of the Business World added.

Incidentally, only her name as the chairperson of the new committee was announced while the names of all other panel members are yet to be decided. The report asked, “What signal was SEBI sending and to whom?”

As per the report, it is well known that BSE has increasing liabilities towards SEBI fees and the exchange had to reverse the bulk SMS-related charges it had billed to the investor fund, both of which are nearly Rs 150 crore. However, the prominent thing to note is that BSE may also have to pay thousands of crores to the Settlement Guarantee Fund (SGF) due to rising volumes at the exchange. The principle governing the SGF requires that as the trading volume of an exchange increases, its contribution to the SGF should also increase. Last year, the NSE paid approximately Rs 5000 crore more to its SGF.

The ratio of notional volumes in derivatives at BSE is nearly three times higher than that at NSE. Most conservatively, even if the BSE has to pay around a couple of thousand crore to the SGF, it would be a major blow to the profitability of the exchange and its fast-rising share price, which some punters are trying to push higher, the report further added.

Earlier this year, the exchange’s share price witnessed a fall on account of its higher SGF for the currency derivatives segment, as confirmed by the exchange’s own statements to the media. In this context, SEBI’s hasty formation of a committee on SGF and the appointment of Usha Thorat as its chairperson have intrigued the market experts.

Corporate India maintains unusual silence on PM Modi’s inevitable third term: Report

In the report, Palak Shah noted that top Indian businesspersons are mostly savvy but they have maintained unusual silence on India’s election outcome.

It has been evidently clear that the NDA has the majority. Additionally, the NDA partners have unanimously elected Narendra Modi as the alliance leader, making it official that he will be the Prime Minister of India for the third consecutive term. It is historic, as after Jawaharlal Nehru, PM Modi became the second leader to become PM thrice consecutively, prompting many to wonder why corporate India is still unsure of the outcome.

The report highlighted that top businessmen including Uday Kotak, Anand Mahindra, Sunil Mittal, Mukesh Ambani, Kumar Birla (who was given Padma Bhushan by BJP) or Harsh Goenka and even well-known faces and fund managers who are part of PM’s Economic Advisory Council, have maintained silence and have not congratulated PM Modi for NDA’s majority in the Lok Sabha elections.

The first and the only Tweet on social media platform ‘X’ congratulating the PM for the third term on the day of the poll results, came from NSE MD and CEO Ashish Chauhan, the report added.

It is pertinent to note that a host of foreign leaders including US President Joe Biden, Italian President Giorgia Meloni, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and others have congratulated PM Modi for the historic achievement.

“We discussed the political situation in detail and concluded finally that we should say in one voice: “The constituents of INDIA bloc thank the people of India for their overwhelming support received by our alliance. The people’s mandate has given a befitting reply to the BJP and their politics of hate, corruption and deprivation,” Kharge said.

“This is a mandate in defence of the Constitution of India, and against price rise, unemployment and crony capitalism, and also to save the democracy. The INDIA bloc will continue to fight against the fascist rule of the BJP led by Modi. We will take appropriate steps at the appropriate time to realise the people’s desire not to be ruled by the BJP’s government,” He further added.

Earlier today, the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) passed a resolution to elect Narendra Modi as the leader of the alliance, making it official that he will be the Prime Minister of India for the third consecutive time. The resolution was passed unanimously on 5th June 2024 after NDA partners held a meeting at PM Modi’s official residence in New Delhi.

At the meeting, the BJP secured the support of 293 MPs, well ahead of the majority mark. While the pre-poll alliance has 292 MPs including BJP’s 240, Sikkim Krantikari Morcha with 1 MP joined the meeting and signed the letter confirming support to the BJP-led alliance. Leaders of TDP, JD(U), Shiv Sena, NCP, JD(S) and other NDA members attended the meeting. While it was reported that NCP’s Ajit Pawar skipped the meeting, party leader Praful Patel was there.

The resolution letter issued after the meeting lauded the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the development of the country in every field. It also highlighted that it is after six decades that the voters have elected a strong government with an absolute majority for the third consecutive time.
