Mankal Vaidya further assured that necessary steps will be taken to protect cows from thieves. Minister Vaidya’s comments came amidst outrage over the recent incident wherein a pregnant cow was slaughtered near Honnavar.
PM Modi shared adorable pictures with a new calf at his residence Lok Kalyan Marg. In a tweet, he said the calf has a symbol of light on its head, so he has named it 'Deepjyoti'.
The Hindus protested against the incident and raised slogans after which the Islamists attacked several Hindu activists for allegedly informing the police about the slaughtering of gauvansh.
The Police immediately reached the spot discovering remains of the cattle skin and blood post-slaughter. The police also saw a total of three men surrounding the remains. However, the three tried to flee from the spot after seeing the police constable approaching.
The petitioner submitted an affidavit on behalf of a Nadiad resident drawing attention to the carcasses of butchered cows that were left in the open. The images of the carcasses were also attached.
