PM Modi highlighted the hypocrisy of the opposition on incidences of crimes against women, highlighting the lack of outrage on the Sandeskhali incident and the Talibani-style flogging of woman in Bengal.

After some time, Arif caught the girl in his love trap and brought the woman to his residence in Bareilly's Baheri. During this time, he raped her multiple times and pressurised the victim to convert to Islam around a year ago.

The incident left the girl depressed and as her health deteriorated, she informed her about Danish’s crimes. As the victim’s family asked Danish to delete the videos, the accused started demanding money and threatened to make the objectionable video viral online and send it to the family’s relatives. Reports say that after failing to extort money from the victim's family, the accused Danish circulated the girl’s videos and photos on social media platforms.

The police have now registered a case in this matter following the victim's father's complaint. The victim's father told police that his daughter became friends with a girl at the coaching centre in October of 2023.

The kidnapping and attempted rape took place in Deoraniyan police station area of ​​Bareilly. On Wednesday (May 22, 2024), the victim's father lodged a complaint in the police station in this regard.

An unidentified number posted a "Hi" message on the victim's WhatsApp on Tuesday, 7th May.
