UAE blacklists 8 UK-based organisations for ties with Islamic terror outfit ‘Muslim brotherhood’

According to WAM news, the decision by the UAE is part of its ongoing efforts to dismantle terror financing networks both locally and internationally.

In a major development, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has blacklisted 8 United Kingdom-based organisations for their ties to the Islamic terror outfit ‘Muslim Brotherhood.’

The 8 outfits were identified as Cambridge Education and Training Centre Ltd, IMA6INE Ltd, Wembley Tree Ltd, Waslaforall, Future Graduates Ltd, Yas for Investment and Real Estate, Holdco UK Properties Limited and Nafel Capital.

According to reports, anyone found working with these organisations will face travel bans and the freezing of their assets. UAE-based individuals and entities are also not allowed to work with these blacklisted organisations.

Besides the 8 UK-based outfits, another 11 people were included in the approved list of individuals supporting terrorism. Most of them are Emirati nations.

According to WAM news, the decision by the UAE is part of its ongoing efforts to dismantle terror financing networks both locally and internationally.

The Muslim Brotherhood is an Islamist terror outfit, which was founded in Egypt in 1928 by Hassan al-Banna. It is known for promoting political Islam, Sharia law, violence and terrorism.

The organisation has been banned even in Muslim-majority Arab countries such as Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

The ideology of the Muslim Brotherhood is a direct threat to secularism, democratic values, and international security.
