Trump attacks China again, says US holds it responsible for concealing the virus and unleashing it upon the world

US President Donald Trump on Tuesday again attacked China and accused the communist country of concealing the coronavirus and unleashing it upon the world.

While addressing media, Trump said, “Make no mistake, we hold China fully responsible for concealing the virus and unleashing it upon the world. They could’ve stopped it, they should’ve stopped it, would’ve been very easy to do it at source when it happened.”

He accused China of ripping off the US. “As a developing country, it got tremendous support from the United States and other countries. And they took advantage of that,” he said. He further added that he has ended preferential treatment for Hong Kong after the Chinese government enacted new law. “Hong Kong will now be treated the same as mainland China,” he said.

Responding to a question by a journalist, Donald Trump said he has no plans to speak to China President Xi Jinping. “No, I haven’t spoken to him (Chinese President) in a while and I have no plan to speak to him,” he said. He further said that the WHO has been a puppet of China.

Speaking on the Chinese technology, Trump said that they are untrustworthy. America had designated Chinese telecom companies Huawei and ZTE Corp as national security threats. “We confronted untrustworthy Chinese technology and telecom providers. We convinced many countries not to use Huawei because it’s a big security risk. Just today, the UK announced that they are not going to be using it,” Trump said.

Kerala racket smuggled 150 kgs of gold since September 2019: NIA

In a stunning revelation in the Kerala Smuggling case, the National Investigation Agency investigating the smuggling of the gold has found that the racket had managed to bring in 1.5 quintal (150 kgs) of gold in the country through diplomatic channels at Thiruvananthapuram airport since September 2019. The NIA had further disclosed that the smuggling of gold was not done for jewellery but funding terrorist activities in India.

On Monday, NIA remanded the suspects– Swapna Suresh and Sandeep Nair, who worked for the UAE consulate, in the agency’s custody till July 21. The NIA has also found that the accused had forged UAE’s emblem to send the gold consignments.

Gold smuggling started in September 2019

“As per the preliminary investigation carried out by several agencies, the gang had been smuggling gold since September 2019. They had smuggled around 150 kgs of gold till date. The interrogation of the suspects will shed more light on their modus operandi and the other people involved,” said a source quoted by New Indian Express.

While the agency is yet to be sure if the diplomatic channel was the only means through which the accused smuggled in the gold, the authorities privy to the details of the smuggling case have revealed that the same racket had been involved in handling the gold consignments through the same route on June 24 and June 26 too.

The NIA on Monday deposed in the court that 9 and 18 kilos of gold were smuggled through the same route right before the seizure of 30 kgs of gold at Thiruvananthapuram airport. It also added that the smuggling started in 2019 and the accused used diplomatic channels to ship the gold to beat the artificial intelligence-based scanners at the airport.

Gold smuggling linked to funding terror activities

The NIA had added that an initial probe by the Ministry of Home Affairs had conducted an initial probe and found that the smuggled gold was used for funding terror activities.

Responding to the court’s query on how a smuggling incident can be linked funding terror activities, the counsel representing agency argued that illegal activity of such high-level sophistication is a threat to the nation’s financial stability. In contrast to hawala and counterfeit money, a single bid of gold smuggling can garner a huge amount.

According to the NIA, a detailed investigation is required as it concerns the India-UAE bilateral relationship. The UAE has also launched a probe into the matter.

One of the accused—Sandeep Nair deposed in the court that the consignment was addressed to a UAE diplomat named Rashid Al Sheimeili and raised questions over why was the diplomat not being interrogated in this regard.

Malappuram-based businessman K T Rameez arrested in the case

The high-profile case linking the Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan also saw the arrest of one KT Rameez, a Malappuram-based businessman, believed to be the lynchpin of the gold smuggling racket.

Rameez was nabbed from his residence at Vettathoor near Perinthalmanna in the early morning on July 12, and his arrest would further expedite the probe. Rameez is an investor and a distributor of smuggled gold in the state, and the customs officials expect that his custodial interrogation could provide further details of investors in the gold smuggling racket. They believe that Rameez may have details of other people involved in the coordination of the smuggling, along with the extent of the involvement of Swapna Suresh and Sandeep Nair.

Rameez is said to be an investor and a distributor of smuggled gold in the state and custom officials are hoping that his custodial interrogation could provide furthers details of investors in the gold smuggling racket and key personnel involved in coordinating the smuggling, and the extent of involvement of Swapna Suresh and Sandeep Nair.

Kerala gold smuggling case accused arrested from Bengaluru

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday detained two key accused in Kerala gold smuggling case, Swapna Suresh and Sandeep Nair, from Bengaluru.

According to the reports, the two accused in the high-profile case linking the Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan were on the run for the last six days after the Customs Department had seized 30 kg of gold from the consignment that had arrived from the UAE, which was marked to the country’s consulate in Thiruvananthapuram.

Did you know Farooq Abdullah’s daughter Sara Abdullah had a rough time convincing her family for marrying ‘Hindu’ boy Sachin Pilot: Read details

Since the time the political crisis in the Congress’ ruling state of Rajasthan has deepened, all eyes have been set on the party’s rebel leader Sachin Pilot. The young Turk, who had gone incommunicado for the last two days, was today sacked of his duties by the Congress party. Meanwhile, in the midst of all this, Sachin Pilot’s wife Sara Pilot also managed to garner some attention after it was reported that Sara attacked the state CM on Twitter.

Though later it was learnt that the news agency mistook a fake account to be a real account of Sara Pilot, the news surely made her a subject to a flurry of questions, making it difficult for her to escape the wrath of social media.

For the uninitiated, Sara Pilot, the daughter of the former CM of Jammu and Kashmir Farooq Abdullah married Sachin Pilot in 2004. As history has it, marrying outside one’s community has never been easy for Muslim girls in India. Such was the case for Sarah Pilot. While Sachin belongs to a Rajasthani Gujjar family, Sara is a Kashmiri Muslim. Though it sorted itself out in due time, Sachin Pilot and Sara Abdullah had a turbulent experience when they first decided to get married.

Only Muslim men can marry outside their religion: Abdullahs on Sara marrying Sachin Pilot

Sara’s father Farooq Abdullah, brother Omar Abdullah and the rest of the clan boycotted their private Delhi wedding in 2004, because of inter-religious politics. Incidentally, Omar Abdullah himself married a Sikh girl; but objected to his sister marrying a Hindu boy.

The duo had met each other while pursuing higher education at Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. After dating each other, the two decided to tie a knot in 2004 despite constant objections from Sara’s side of family.

For the Abdullahs, who are passing through a difficult phase after their National Conference lost in the state assembly elections, it was likely that the wedding would have kicked up a furore in Jammu and Kashmir. Concerned with the possibility of facing the wrath of the community on the issue of a Muslim girl marrying a Hindu boy, Sara’s family opposed their marriage. Abdullah’s party members issued a statement stating that “only Muslim men can marry outside their religion but a Muslim girl can only marry a Muslim.”

It was reported how a campaign on Sara marrying a ‘kafir’ begun in the Kashmir valley. There were speculations then that the family had disowned their daughter for being hellbent on marrying a Hindu boy. No member of either family had come forward to speak to media persons then.

Sara Pilot had once opened up the rough times on Simi Gariwal’s chat show. “I was a wreck half the time and Sachin had to pick up the pieces,” Sara confessed. On being asked as to how the Abdullahs were ultimately convinced, Sachin Pilot said simply: “That we were happy together.” Sachin and Sara who are now married for almost 16 years, have two sons, Aaran and Vehaan.

Google to join hands with Prasar Bharati for edutainment series to help business owners amid Covid-19

Many companies worldwide have shut down their operations due to a lack of funding and overwhelming effects of the pandemic.

The series will concentrate on helping businesses to tap into the recovery mode that is just underway. Google will keep exploring new opportunities to support families, communities and small businesses using different means in the next few years in India under the Google for India Digitization Fund initiative. The aim is to build a healthier ecosystem for businesses to survive in such situations in the future.

In a recent statement, the World Health Organization has said that it is next to impossible for the world to go back to the old normal. It is evident that everyone has to adapt to new ways of doing business. An edutainment series dedicated to understanding and overcoming the pandemic’s challenges is going to help thousands, if not lakhs of small businesses across the country.

‘I swear by Kashmiri mothers and sisters that I will wear a suicide jacket to destroy a Temple built in Pakistan’: Pakistani man in viral video

Pakistani activist Rahat Austin shared a video on Tuesday where a Muslim man from Pakistan could be heard saying that he would carry out a suicide attack to destroy a Hindu Temple should one ever be built in the country. In the video, he can be heard swearing by Allah and the citizens of Kashmir that he would destroy the said Temple.

In the video, the Muslim man says, ‘I swear to Allah and Prophet of Islam that if any Hindu temple or worship place is build anywhere on this holy land of Pakistan. I swear by the Kashmiri mothers and sisters that I will be the first to wear a suicide jacket and attack that temple. I will try to ensure that the first attack to destroy the Temple is from me.’

In another video from Pakistan that had gone viral, a Muslim man could be heard saying that he has a message for his fellow Pakistanis. The camera then pans to the kids, one of who says, “Khan sahab, agar Islamabad mein mandir bana to yeh yaad rakhna, main un Hinduon ko chun chun ke marunga. Samajh gaye? Allah Hafiz. (Mr Imran Khan, if a temple is constructed in Islamabad, then remember, I will kill all Hindus one by one. Understand? Allah Hafiz.)”

Islamabad temple controversy

Islamists in Pakistan had recently opposed the construction of Shri Krishna temple in Islamabad, the country’s capital. A fatwa was also issued against its construction. Other than the fatwa, a petition was also filed in the Islamabad High Court against the construction of the temple. Later, the boundary wall which was constructed was demolished by an Islamist who has taken a vow that he will never let a Hindu temple be constructed there. Eventually, the Hindu Panchayat decided against constructing of the temple.

Hindus in Nepal protest against oppression of the Hindu community in Pakistan, burn Imran Khan’s effigy

Activists from the Hindu Community in Nepal protested outside the Pakistan Embassy in Kathmandu against the atrocities committed against Pakistani Hindus. The protesters carried placards and burnt an effigy of Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan. They demanded the construction of the Shri Krishna temple in Islamabad, which was halted after its boundary walls were demolished by rabid Islamic fanatics.

Vinay Yadav, the lead demonstrator of Rastriya Ekata Abhiyan, said, “We condemn the Pakistan government’s actions as it is violating the basic human rights of a citizen. By holing this protest, we demand Pakistan allow the continuation of the construction of Krishna temple.” Campaign coordinator Binoy Kumar said, “The Hindu minority in Pakistan is still being oppressed by the government.”

He added, “The government is committing another major crime by not allowing the construction of Hindu temples and monasteries.” Slogans such as “Stop the oppression of Hindus and “Temples and monasteries must be built in Islamabad” were raised by the protesters that had gathered.

At least 7 stand-up comedians deactivate or protect their Twitter accounts after netizens dredge up deplorable old tweets and videos

The Agrima Joshua episode has thrown open a can of worms for the stand-up comedy fraternity in India. In the wake of Agrima’s video mocking the Shiv Smarak, a memorial dedicated to the reverential Maratha monarch Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the Arabian Sea, a bevvy of so-called comedians have either deactivated or protected their Twitter accounts for the fear of being brought to reckoning after netizens dig up their nasty old tweets and abominable videos that had earlier gone unnoticed.

Sahil Shah from ‘East India Comedy’

Sahil Shah, the comedian with the ‘East India Comedy’ group, has apparently protected his Twitter account after people on social media started taking offence on his tweets against the Shiv Smarak dedicated to Maratha ruler–Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

In addition, a video of Shah mocking the Maratha icon for his bluster on the battlefield was also highlighted by the users.

Azeem Banatwalla from ‘East India Comedy’

Another comedian associated with the ‘East India Comedy’ group, Azeem Banatwalla, has deactivated his Twitter account after Twitter users shared screenshots of his tweets mocking Hindu God Ganesha and Dr B R Ambedkar.

In one of the disgraceful tweets, Banatwalla mocked Ambedkar Jayanti by calling it a “BT Hangover day” while in the another tweet, he mocked Hindu festival Ganesh Chaturthi by claiming the festival is celebrated by a father slicing his son’s head.

However, possibly after his disparaging tweets started gaining traction on Twitter, Azeem promptly pulled down his Twitter account, fearing that other more repulsive tweets might come to the notice of social media users.

Alokesh Sinha

Comedian Alokesh Sinha also decided to call it quits on Twitter after Hindutva activist and former Shiv Sena member, Ramesh Solanki filed a complaint last month against the stand-up comedian for mocking Hinduism and Hanuman Chalisa. Filing a complaint with the Cyber Unit of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Solanki alleged that it had become a trend to crack jokes on Hindu religion and the pantheon of Hindu Gods and Goddesses.

Sinha subsequently issued an unconditional apology through a video message, reassuring that from henceforth he won’t perform any act that would hurt the sentiments of people.

Sanjay Rajoura from ‘Aisi Taisi Democracy’

Ultra-leftist and foul-mouthed comedian Sanjay Rajoura from ‘Aisi Taisi Democracy’ has also joined the list of comedians who have retreated in the safety of their cocoon by protecting their Twitter account. Recently, a complaint was filed against the said comedian for mocking Hindu gods and goddesses and hurting religious sentiments.

Rajoura had evidently made contemptuous remarks against Lord Ganesha and Lord Shiva after which a complaint was filed against him with the Mumbai Police by the former Shiv Sena member and Hindutva activist Ramesh Solanki.

Rajoura also has a history of abusive behaviour on social media. He has resorted to name calling and threatening other Twitter users only because they don’t agree with his views. He has also displayed his casteist behaviour on Twitter by abusing the Brahmin and Rajput communities.

Aadar Malik

Stand-up comedian Aadar Malik, the nephew of Anu Malik, is another such so-called humorist, who has deactivated his Twitter account. Malik shut off his Twitter account after users spotlighted one of his videos in which he is seen derisively mocking ‘Shiva Ling’.

Neeti Palta

Neeti Palta has also deactivated her Twitter account after screenshots of her tweets mocking Hindu Gods and Hindu festivals surfaced on the microblogging platform. In one of the deplorable tweets, Neeti claimed that she received a spam message for “puja special lingerie”, wonder if it comes fitted with a ‘mandir ka ghanti’.

In another tweet, she questions how can one name his kid Shiva and not expect him to be destructive. In a still another tweet by the reprehensible comic, she drew a parallel between UPA meeting and Ganesh Chaturthi and contemptuously said “chullu bhar paani mein dalo”.

Rohan Joshi from AIB

Yesterday, one of the co-founders of the All India Bakchod, Rohan Joshi had deactivated his Twitter account after screenshots of his past tweets, where he used vile language for the politicians such as Sharad Pawar and showed prurient curiosity in the sexual encounters of West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, went viral on the Internet.

Comedians deactivating accounts to beat the rap

The Agrima Joshua incident has served as a trigger for the netizens and the so-called comedians alike. While the Twitter users are scrupulously searching for content and tweets that implicate these comics for hurting the sentiments of people by making unsavoury remarks on the Hindu Gods and Goddesses, cracking jokes on historical figures, or sexually suggestive statements, the comedians, on the other hand, have been falling over themselves to either deactivate or protect their account, presumably to avoid retribution from the concerned authorities and stop the netizens from further scouring their Twitter timelines which could have provided them with more incriminating content.

It is to this end that the comedians, who had earlier vowed their unswerving commitment to ‘Freedom of Expression’ have quietly withdrawn their support to it and deactivated or protected their Twitter accounts.

Bihar: Govt imposes complete lockdown from July 16 to July 31 to curb the coronavirus explosion in the state

The Bihar Government, which is currently dealing with a massive coronavirus explosion in the state with the overall tally nearing 19,000-mark, has decided to impose a complete lockdown in the state from July 16 to July 31. This means that all schools, colleges, shops, malls, religious places in Bihar will remain shut in this 15-day period, except essential services.

“Lockdown will be imposed in the state from 16 to 31 July to curb the spread of COVID-19. Guidelines are being prepared,” Bihar Deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi said.

Coronavirus spreading rapidly in Bihar

Considering the rate at which the total number of cases were rapidly increasing in the state, the Bihar government has decided to impose a lockdown during a high-level meeting held earlier today. “The government has taken a decision to this effect… Corona has neither any vaccine nor any medicine,” Modi was quoted as saying in a virtual rally.

Bihar has witnessed a sudden surge in the number of coronavirus cases. The tally of coronavirus cases has risen by over 1,000 for the third consecutive day today. On Tuesday, the overall coronavirus tally in the state rose to 18,853 with record 1,432 new cases in the last 24 hours.

On Sunday, the state had witnessed the biggest single-day spike of 1,266 cases.

75 Bihar BJP leaders infected with the deadly virus

According to reports, as many as 75 BJP leaders in the state have been found to be infected with the Chinese virus. As the state assembly elections are scheduled for later this year, it is speculated that the leaders may have gathered for political meetings. Bihar BJP general secretary Devesh Kumar and MLC Radha Mohan Sharma are among the 75 leaders found to be infected with the virus.

Super spreader Bihar wedding

Last month, a wedding in the state capital had turned out to be a super spreader of the infection with over 100 guests contracting the virus. The groom had also reportedly died a day after the June 15 wedding. When the number of infected reached 15, a special camp was organised between June 24 and 26 to test, identify and isolate more potential cases from the nearly 400 people who attended the wedding in Patna or the groom’s funeral. Of these, 86 samples returned positive.

Migrant workers owed to the increasing numbers

Earlier reports had also suggested that the rising number of coronavirus cases in Bihar was owing to the migrant workers who had returned to their cities amid the lockdown. As per estimates, in the month of June, 75% migrants who had returned home had tested positive for coronavirus, adding to the spike in the state’s total numbers.

In the midst of all this, what comes as a big relief are that the coronavirus recovery rate is also relatively high in the state. The health department confirmed on July 12 that the state had recorded a high recovery rate of 73.08 per cent with almost 10,991 people being discharged from isolation wards after recovery from the infection until that day.

Pakistan: Blasphemy complaint against opposition politician for saying ‘all religions are equal’

A PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf) leader from Narowal, Qamar Riaz, has reportedly filed a complaint with the Zafarwal police against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) politician Khawaja Asif for allegedly ‘committing blasphemy’ while delivering a speech in the National Assembly.

As per the report, Riaz had quoted verses of the Quran to suggest that Asif had hurt the sentiments of all Muslims and had committed blasphemy. The PTI leader stated, “His words are against the teachings of the Holy Quran and Sunnah, and are tantamount to blasphemy against Islam. He has declared Muslims and infidels as equal and this is a grave crime according to the Shariah.”

In his complaint, Riaz urged the Zafarwal police to register a case against Asif for ‘disrespecting Quran and Islam’. According to Station House Officer (SHO) Faryad Gujjar, a case has not been registered against the said politician yet. He informed that the matter has been brought to the notice of DPO Zulfiqar Ahmed and that they are waiting for further orders.

Under Section 295 (C) of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), the blasphemy law states, ”Whoever by words, either spoken or written, or by visible representation or by any imputation, innuendo, or insinuation, directly or indirectly, defiles the sacred name of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) shall be punished with death, or imprisonment for life, and shall also be liable to fine.”

Khawaja Asif on ‘Religious Equality’ in Pakistan

In his National Assembly speech on July 8, Khawaja Asif had remarked, “It is our responsibility as the majority (Muslims) to protect the places of worship of all minorities in the country…The rise of fundamentalism in the 1980s in Pakistan has subdued our mindset. As a result, faultlines have developed in our society that can lead to eventual doom… Pakistan was a tolerant society in the 60s and 70s but it is no more now.”

He reminisced how he once offered Namaz during Eid at a church in New York City and lamented how even the imagination of such a thing happening in Pakistan was implausible. “This is a country of 22 crore people, irrespective of religion. No religious group is superior to another religious group in the country,” Khawaja Asif emphasised.

Khwaja Asif’s statement in the National Assembly that has brought the blasphemy allegations against him

Reactions to charges of blasphemy

Reacting strongly to charges of ‘blasphemy’ framed against fellow party member Khawaja Asif, Shahbaz Sharif tweeted that Islam guarantees freedom for all communities living in the Islamic state. He added, “Equality is (a) fundamental principle enshrined in the Constitution of Pakistan. What Khawaja Asif said in NA was in the context of Islamic teachings & constitutional provisions!” Shehbaz is the brother of former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and is currently the leader of Opposition in the National Assembly.

The United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) also came out in support of the Pakistani politician. In a tweet, USCIRF stated that it is alarmed by the complaint against Asif after he said that all religions are equal in the country. “(We) urge Pakistan to conduct an expedited review of all blasphemy cases,” it emphasised.

Khawaja Asif slams Imran Khan

Last month, during a speech in the Pakistan National Assembly, Khawaja Asif emphasised, “Face the reality! Be it foreign policy or health or economy, everything is failing and collapsing (in Pakistan). And you (Imran Khan) are trying to appease us. The water has run over our heads. The destruction caused to Pakistan due to Imran Khan can only be reversed if we get rid of him. As long as he remains on the throne, the cycle of devastation will continue.” The PML-N legislator also reprimanded Imran Khan for referring to slain terrorist Osama Bin Laden as a ‘shaheed (martyr)’.

How Ambedkar busted the myth of ‘Ganga Jamuni Tehzeeb’ through his speeches and book ‘Pakistan or Partition of India’

“She preferred imaginary heroes to the real ones, because when tired of them, the former could be shut up in the tin kitchen till called for, and the latter were less manageableLouisa Mary Alcottin her famous novel Little Women

This is so true. There are two ways of killing the thoughts of an illuminated mind which do not work well with the modern day politics- Burning their books and reducing them to symbolic carricatures. When I look at the blue, often ill-made, wrongly proportioned statues of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the head of the drafting committee of the Constitution of Independent India, dotting the numerous Ambedkar Nagars around India, and then I find how little Ambedkar is read by the current generation, I find how well the intellectual class of India, which constituted mostly the descendants of elite Raibahadursfrom the Raj, used this principle.

Ambedkar is respected by all but read by very few. The reason that all the memories of Ambedkar have been reduced to those idols, all his intellectual marks have been erased seems to be its incongruence with the Leftist intellectualism. This leftist intellectualism is grand on slogans but weak on substance. This shows in the hollow Communist regimes around the world which collapsed under their own weight within less than a century of coming to power.

In India, the Communists did the same with Dr Ambedkar. They turned an iconoclast Ambedkar into an idol who speaks nothing, contradicts nothing. An ideologue speaks to the generations after him with his words, his writings, and his speeches. The Left, once it adopted Ambedkar, tried its best to wipe out his thoughts and his words. They went after Ambedkar with such a vengeance that now we see Ambedkar everywhere but know very little about him.

Ambedkar was, in reality, always wary of the Communists and their propensity of creating chaos and anarchy. In his speech ‘The Grammar of Anarchy”, which he made on 25th November, 1949, he famously said referring to the criticism of the Constitution by the Communists (yes, the same people who are touring the nation making the youth read the Preamble of Constitution amended by Indira Gandhi during Emergency),

The condemnation of the Constitution largely comes from two quarters, the Communist Party and the Socialist Party. Why do they condemn the Constitution? Is it because it is really a bad Constitution? I venture to say no’. The Communist Party want a Constitution based upon the principle of the Dictatorship of the Proletariat. They condemn the Constitution because it is based upon parliamentary democracy. The Socialists want two things. The first thing they want is that if they come in power, the Constitution must give them the freedom to nationalize or socialize all private property without payment of compensation. The second thing that the Socialists want is that the Fundamental Rights mentioned in the Constitution must be absolute and without any limitations so that if their Party fails to come into power, they would have the unfettered freedom not merely to criticize, but also to overthrow the State.

The leftists who create violence under the Pictures of Ambedkar will never want people to know his views about the Communists. They pretend to own Ambedkar while they crush and kill his thought. The sagacity of Ambedkar is clear as we see the direction of leftist propaganda in the second stage as predicted by Ambedkar. The Congress, post-independence, having rid itself of all the intellectual giants like Dr Rajendra Prasad, KM Munshi and all became a party of intellectual pigmies which found its legitimacy in Gandhi.

Appropriating Gandhi’s name for the dynasty of dimwits that Nehru established a cottage industry of pliant intellectuals was created to broad-brush history of Indian independence. To understand the history correctly, it is very important to see the history from someone who wrote about his times with dispassionate eyes of a neutral intellectual. In this sense, Ambedkar’s book “Pakistan or Partition of India”is a brilliant book and an eye-opener. Going through this book one realizes why the left-leaning Academia would have wanted this book to disappear from public view.

This book breaks many carefully and cunningly-crafted fake narratives of the Communists, which they widely use to misguide the youth. Many people, blindfolded, follow their narrative, often thinking it to be ordained by Dr Ambedkar himself to follow the left. How could, say the left educate the Ambedkarites of today that Indian Partition was because of Savarkar’s ideology? How could they be sold into anti-Hindu propaganda, into a belief that Hindus wanted partition?

He mentions how the Hindu politicians worked for long on the faith that India was one nation and how Hindus felt betrayed when the Muslims insisted that they were another nation. Ambedkar writes, “This assertion cuts the whole ground from under the feet of the Hindu politicians. It is natural that they should feel annoyed at it and call it a stab in the back.” Ambedkar however, does not make a case of united India or Akhand Bharat of Savarkarites.

He rather makes a case that Partition (of course, he proposes complete human transfer) will be good for Hindus, although at one point he also hopes, much like Savarkarites that in a decade or so, Muslims will see the futility of the nonsensical entity created merely on the basis of fear and insecurity and come back to the Indian fold. He picks equivalence from Europe and explains that when there are two nations exist under the skin of one manufactured unity, they will fight one another, and eventually escape. He quotes Renan that there ought to be a sense of forgetfulness to achieve unity when the history divides two people.

He explains that the sense of Muslim isolation is because of the distrust the Muslims had towards the Congress. Ambedkar connects the distrust between the two communities with history, where unlike the modern historians he refuses to sugarcoat the events of the ancient past. When we are talking about reparation for the Blacks in the west for the cruelties of the past, it is pertinent that the truth be faced, accepted if not apologized for before moving ahead, in India as well.

He writes about how Mohammad Bin Qasim’s first invasion was not only a political event and after trying to forcefully convert people of Debul by forced circumcision, he killed all those above the age of 17 and turned all those below 17 into slaves. He writes quoting tabaquat-i-Nasir about Bakhtiar Khilji’s invasion in Bihar, mentioning, – most of the inhabitants were Brahmins with shaven heads. They were put to death. Large number of books were found.. but no one could explain their contents as all the men had been killed in the fort and the city being a place of study.

He quotes the period of Shahjahan, whitewashed as great lover, on account of building Tajmahal, from Badshahnamah, how about the temples which were coming up, in Benaras, His majesty, the defender of the faith, gave orders that at Benares and throughout all his dominions in every place all temples that had begun should be cast down. It was reported from the province of Allahabad that 76 temples had been destroyed in the city of Benares.

These facts are inconvenient in today’s world where except for smaller secular sanctuaries, the globe is split between two major military and missionary religions. But to forget things, they must be known and accepted first. This is what Ambedkar wrote about, this is what Ambedkarites do not want people to read for the fear of the effect it might have on their politico-religious plank. Regarding a great deal of propaganda about Savarkar agreeing to the breaking up of nation spread by the left and modern-day Ambedkarites alike, it is to be noted that he write,

Mr Jinnah says that India should be cut up into Pakistan and Hindustan, the Muslim nation to occupy Pakistan and the Hindu nation to occupy Hindustan. Mr Savarkar, on the other hand, insists that, although there are two nations in India, India shall not be divided into two parts, one for Muslims and the other for the Hindus; that the two nations shall dwell in one country and shall live under the mantle of one single constitution..in his scheme Minority is to be no justification for privilege and majority is to be no ground for a penalty.”

As we see, this is what the Indian nation eventually strives to do. Ambedkar further writes- This alternative of Mr Savarkar to Pakistan has about it a frankness, a boldness and definiteness which distinguishes it from the irritating vagueness and indefiniteness which characterizes congress declarations about minority rights.

Ambedkar finds the fidgety attitude of Congress to be connected with the fear of Muslims not joining the struggle for the independence of India. Another fact which is thrown often at the face of modern right by Islamist intellectuals posing as intellectuals, about Hindus not being a part of Freedom struggle. Ambedkar calls it out when he quotes Savarkar, regarding latter’s address to the Indian Muslims in regard to support for freedom struggle-

If you come, with you, if you don’t without you; and if you oppose, inspite of you- the Hindus will continue to fight for their national freedom as best as they can.”

And then Ambedkar does something which has been turned into an act of blasphemy in democratic, independent India. He pushes his knife inside the myth of Gandhi which has been created by the modern-day Congressmen. He calls out the bluff of Gandhi when he entered the Indian political scene claiming to get freedom in six months. He put some conditions to be able to do that and Hindu-Muslim unity was one of those conditions. Gandhi began his career in India on 2nd March 1919 call for Satyagrahwhich he quickly ended on 18th April 1919.

In his 23rd March 1919 Manifesto, Gandhi adds a call for Hindus and Muslims not to clash with one another, while Ambedkar says, there was no reason for this to be mentioned as the fight was against the British. He sears into the overdose of secularism which bordered on a clear case of appeasement which Gandhi brought in, while struggling to find a space for himself in Indian politics. To me, it seems much like the way modern-day Babas act to establish and expand their base.

Then Ambedkar writes about Khilafat which has long been presented to the students of history as something of a fight for independence of India. Ambedkar plainly writes that the objective of Khilafatwas two-fold: to preserve Caliphate and to maintain the integrity of the Turkish Empire. While it shows that India did not fit anywhere in the plans of Khilafat, Ambedkar says both ttwithe ideas were untenable. One, Turkish people themselves wanted Turkey to be a republic and even the Arabs did not want to live under the Caliphate.

He tears into the general perception that Non-Cooperation Movement was started as a nationalist movement to which the Muslims joined in in the name of Khilafat. Ambedkar writes that this is done by quoting special session of Congress in Calcutta on 7thand 8thof September, 1920. He then explains that Non-Cooperation was a tool of Khilafatists, which was adopted by the Congress. Khilafat started on 27thof October, 1919. On 23rdNovember, 1919, first Khilafat meeting was held and the proposal for non-cooperation was discussed.

On 10thof March, 1920, Khilafat adopted non-cooperation as a tool of opposition to the British. On 22ndJune, 1920, Khilafatistsnotified the British warning them of Non-Cooperation unless Turkish matter is resolved before 1stof August, 1920. He thereby prove that rather than the Khilafatists joining the Congress, it was the Congress which joined them in the interest of Caliphate not in the interest of Swarajya.

This is not to say that Non-Cooperation was not Gandhi’s brain child. It was. Gandhi attended the first Khilafat’sfirst meeting and gave this proposal. Ambedkar says that this idea of inviting Gandhi to the meeting was to gain the support of Hindus for the cause of Turkish Caliphate. The notice of non-cooperation was given to the British on 1stJuly 1920, by Gandhi, not by the Khilafatists.

Next two month Gandhi toured the nation with Ali brothers, to build support for Non-Cooperation. Gandhi, tried to explain this alignment with Pan-Islamists as a way of getting their help to Hindu cause. He wrote in Young India on 20thOctober, 1921, opposing Modern Review article which claimed that while Ali Brothers were touring in favor of Caliphate, Gandhi was touring for Swarajya-

“I claim that with us both the Khilafat is the central act, with Maulana Mahomed Ali because it is his religion, with me because, in laying down my life for the Khilafat, I ensure safety of the cow, that is my religion, from the Musalman’s life.”

Ambedkar then explains that this was a fake position Gandhi put forth. He goes back and explains that when Muslims sought support of Hindus for the Turkish cause, Hindus were divided in three factions. The first faction opposed Non-Cooperation on principle, the second was willing to come around and support provided Muslims agreed to stop cow slaughter and the third was worried if the success of movement might lead to invasion of India from Afghanistan.

On 10thDecember, 1919, Gandhi urged Hindus to not bring the Cow slaughter issue, stating the test of friendship is assistance in adversity, and that too, unconditional assistance… I do not want to make the stopping of cow-killing a condition precedent to co-operation.” And then we find Ambedkar admitting which many misguided wokes found in Anti-CAA protests as well, when there were riots in Delhi, internal conflicts with secularists and Delhi Minority Commission Chief threatened inviting Islamic nations to invade India.

He quotes Gandhi from Young India, 4thMay, 1921, admitting that Muslims were getting impatient when he wrote that “In their impatient anger, the Musalmans ask for more energetic and more prompt action by the Congress and Khilafat organizations.” What went worse was the action Muslims took. Ambedkar writes: The Muslims were not prepared to wait for Swaraj. They were in a hurry to find the most expeditious means of helping Turkey and saving the Khalifat…They invited the Amir of Afghanistan to invade India.

While the project did not succeed, Ambedkar sticks out his neck to claim that- In his (Gandhi’s) misguided zeal for Swaraj and his obsession on Hindu-Moslem unity, as the only means of achieving it, led him to support the project. Gandhi thundered that – “I would, in a sense, certainly assist the Amir of Afghanistan if he waged war against the British Government.”

Ambedkar than questions aloud – Can any sane man go so far for the sake of Hindu-Moslem unity? But Mr Gandhi was so attached to Hindu-Moslem unity that he did not stop to enquire what he was really doing in this mad endeavor. Ambedkar also refers to the Muslim appeasement policy when he write that Gandhi has never called the Muslims to account even when they have been guilty of gross crimes against Hindus.

Ambedkar writes quoting the murder of Swami Shraddhanand and others, that while number of Hindus murdered is not important what is important is that the leading Muslims never condemned these acts. Ambedkar writes that Gandhi even condoned large-scale Moplah violence when he said- ‘brave God-fearing Moplahs who were fighting for what they consider as religion and in a manner which they consider as religious and that the hindus must have the courage and faith to feel that they can protect their religion in spite of such fanatical eruptions.

Congress resolution on the matter was watered down to mention in the end that the provocations beyond endurance was given to the Moplahs and the reports published were exaggerated. Then Dr. Ambedkar lists out the numerous riots to bring home the point about failure of all these efforts by Gandhi to bring communal unity by appeasing one of the community. Ambedkar then proceeds to make the case for Partition, explaining the reason of incompatibility of Muslim community in tolerant co-existence with competing faith (I think, I agree more with Savarkar who thought it possible).

He mentions the status of women in Muslim society, about Purdah, about acceptance of slavery in Islam. He writes “The Muslims have no interest in politics as such. Their predominant interest is religion (wasn’t Tharoor boo-ed in Shaheen Bagh on charge of secularism). The Muslim constituency does not care to examine the programme of the candidate. All that the constituency wants from the candidate is that he should agree to replace the old lamps of the Masjid by supplying the new ones at his costs, to provide a new carpet for the Masjid or to repair the Masjid because it has become dilapidated.

He says that while there are social evils among Hindus, some of them are conscious of their existence and agitate for their removal. The Muslims, on the other hand, do not realize that they are evil and do not therefore agitate for their removal. He calls Muslims all over the world as unprogressive people. He quotes Renan thatthe Mussalman, remaining faithful to his religion, has not progressed; he has remained stationary in a world of swiftly moving modern forces.

Ambedkar tries to analyze the mind of Indian Muslim and writes that Muslim mind is always feeling that the Hindus around him are encroaching upon him and de-Mussalmanising him. There are other things, very factual and deeply analytical, Ambedkar wrote about the difficulties on Hindus and Muslims being in a unified nation, the financial and security-related advantages of partition. However, these excerpts are enough to show the truth of Gandhi and Savarkar in Partition in the writings of Ambedkar and his own views about Partition.

This goes against the contrived narrative of mendacity, falsehood and conspiracy built by the leftist media in connivance with a Islamist supremacist mob to twist the truth of Ambedkar to ensure the headcount in the name of Dalit-Muslim unity only to bring down a numerically superior but largely secular and unsuspecting Hindu population. The truth is that the only religion working against this nation is that of Marx and Mao.
