FIR filed in blast case near Israeli Embassy, Delhi Police examining CCTV footage from Jamia to Israel embassy

In a significant development in the investigation of the blast near the Israeli Embassy, the Delhi Police registered an FIR against unidentified persons on 30th December 2023. The blast took place in the Israeli Embassy in New Delhi on 26th December 2023. The FIR is filed under Section 3 of the Explosive Substances Act at the Tughlaq Road police station.

The police has interrogated six suspects and 14 auto drivers to date. A meticulous examination of the routes from Jamia to the Israeli embassy is underway, involving the scrutiny of footage from approximately 150 CCTVs. The focus of suspicion has been drawn to a person of tall stature, flagged as behaving suspiciously in the CCTV footage.

The technical team of the Delhi Police has been actively analysing dump data, leading to the identification of over 100 suspicious phone numbers. Efforts are underway to glean more information about these numbers, some of which were recently deactivated.

Samples of leaves and soil from the blast site were collected by forensic experts from the National Security Guard (NSG) and the Delhi Police. The NSG bomb squad team is also expected to submit a detailed sealed report to the Delhi Police, which would provide critical insights into the case.

Eyewitness accounts have been pivotal in shaping the investigation. A security official stationed near the embassy vividly recalled the incident, stating, “I heard a loud noise at around 5 p.m. The noise was similar to a tyre burst. I also saw smoke near a tree.”

Moreover, two individuals were initially singled out as suspects based on CCTV footage, but their involvement in the incident remains unconfirmed. The investigation team, which includes the Delhi Police, the Special Cell, the Dog Squad, and officials from the NIA, continues to probe various angles to establish a concrete link to the blast.

The incident, which fortunately did not result in any injuries, has drawn parallels with a similar explosion near the embassy in 2021. In light of this and ongoing tensions between Israel and Hamas, security measures around the Israeli embassy have been significantly heightened.

Israel’s Deputy Ambassador to India, Ohad Nakash Kaynar, assured the safety of embassy personnel, saying, “All our workers are safe, and all our diplomats are safe. Our security teams are working in full cooperation with the local Delhi security and they will investigate the matter further.”

Delhi court releases 3 employees of Vivo, including a Chinese national, arrested in money laundering case

On Saturday (30th December), a Delhi court ordered the release of 3 employees of Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo, who were arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection to a money laundering case.

As per reports, the three arrested individuals include Vivo India’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Hong Xuquan, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Harinder Dahiya and consultant Hemant Munjal.

They were arrested on 21st December this year by the ED and had been in custody for over a week. On Saturday (30th December), a Delhi court dubbed their arrest as ‘illegal and void’, adding that the Vivo employees were not produced before the court within 24 hours of arrest.

The court directed Hong Xuquan, Harinder Dahiya and Hemant Munjal to furnish personal bonds of ₹2 lakhs and ordered their release. The trio has been asked to not tamper with evidence, leave India without exclusive permission of the trial court and surrender their passports in the court.

The Enforcement Directorate, in its remand application, informed that the accused ViVo employees were working without legit visas and cheated the Union government by setting up an elaborate Chinese-controlled network in India to carry out prejudicial activities against the country’s sovereignty.

The Background of the Case

In October this year, the ED arrested four people in connection to the case. The arrested individuals include Hari Om Rai, the Managing Director of Lava International, a competing mobile company; Guangwen, also known as Andrew Kuang, a Chinese national; and two chartered accountants, Nitin Garg and Rajan Malik.

The ED’s investigation has brought to light allegations of a significant financial subterfuge orchestrated by Vivo. Reports suggest that the company siphoned off a staggering Rs 1 lakh crore from India between 2014 and 2021.

This was allegedly facilitated through a network of shell companies, purportedly established at the behest of Vivo’s Chinese parent company Vivo Mobile Communication Co. These shell entities, numbering 19, were set up to create an elaborate front, allowing Vivo to gain a stronghold in India violating foreign direct investment rules.

Further, the ED’s probe unearthed that Vivo India had remitted nearly Rs 62476 crore to China, constituting almost 50% of its turnover, ostensibly to avoid taxes in India. This has raised serious concerns about the economic sovereignty of India.

The agency’s investigation also revealed a pattern of alleged deceit involving the use of forged documents and falsified addresses. One of the companies under scrutiny, Grand Prospect International Communication Pvt. Ltd. (GPICPL), reportedly used government buildings and a senior bureaucrat’s house as its registered addresses.

The matter has drawn significant attention, considering the scale of the alleged financial irregularities and their implications on India’s economic interests. The case continues to unfold as the ED delves deeper into the intricate web of transactions and corporate structures set up by Vivo and its associates.

Pakistan’s Ex-PM Imran Khan barred from contending February 2024 elections, EC rejects nomination papers from Lahore and Mianwali on the last day of scrutiny

0

On 30th December (Saturday), Pakistan’s provincial election commission confirmed that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan’s nomination papers were rejected for National Assembly constituencies from Punjab’s capital Lahore and his home city, Mianwali, Pakistan’s Geo News reported.

(Video Courtesy – Pakistan’s Geo News)

As per reports, in a major crackdown against Imran Khan-led PTI, the electoral body has also rejected the nomination papers of other senior leaders of the party as well. Taking to X, PTI alleged that the Election Commission rejected nomination papers of nearly 90% of their leadership while it accepted 100% nomination papers of other parties.

Strikingly, their nomination papers have been rejected on the last day of the scrutiny phase. However, Geo News reported that the PTI can appeal against the string of rejections by 3rd January which will be decided by the Appellate Tribunal by 10th January. Subsequently, the electoral body will publish the revised list of candidates on 11th January.

Interestingly, the country’s Election body accepted papers of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif for NA-130 in Lahore. Sharif Senior had recently returned to Pakistan following years in exile to avoid punitive actions.

Meanwhile, ahead of the upcoming General polls in Pakistan on 8th February 2024, Khan had filed his nomination papers from Lahore’s NA-122 and Mianwali’s NA-89 constituencies.

Geo News further reported that PML-N’s Mian Naseer had raised multiple objections against Khan’s nomination papers. The objections had referred to Khan’s five-year disqualification in the Toshakhana case wherein the electoral body had found him guilty of corrupt practices under Section 167 of the Elections Act, 2017.

As per the objections, Khan’s proposer and seconder didn’t hail from NA-122. Additionally, there were multiple other objections including his disqualification in the Toshakhana case, allegedly having an illegitimate daughter, and defaulting on Rs 3.6 million social security funds. Concurring with the objections, the returning officer rejected Khan’s nomination papers.

Explaining the basis for his decision, the returning officer (RO) assigned to scrutinise the nomination papers of the NA-122 constituency said, “The PTI founder has been convicted.”

The PTI leadership has been facing multiple cases particularly ones related to the 9th May rioting case which was triggered after Khan’s arrest in a graft case and saw military installations being vandalised.

In the wake of multiple cases, PTI senior leaders, including Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi and others have been behind bars.

Election Commission clamps down on PTI leadership, goes after its Election symbol as well

Apart from Imran Khan, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) also rejected PTI Vice Chairman Qureshi’s nomination papers from Multan’s NA-150, NA-151, PP-218, and Tharparkar’s NA-214. Similarly, they also rejected former federal minister and PTI leader Hammad Azhar’s nomination papers from PP-172, Geo News report added.

Earlier in the day, it had rejected the nomination papers of Azam Swati and Zulfi Bukhari.

Additionally, in a clampdown against PTI functionaries, hundreds of Maintenance of Public Order (3-MPO) notifications had been issued against workers and leaders in relation to their alleged involvement in the May 9 incidents.

Further, the former ruling party, PTI could also lose its electoral symbol “bat” before the crucial elections in February.

On Saturday (30th December), Pakistan’s EC filed a review petition in the Peshawar High Court (PHC) challenging its earlier order that reinstated the party’s electoral symbol. The Election body had stripped PTI of its electoral symbol ‘bat’ alleging irregularities in intra-party polls.

Now, the ECP had filed this review petition to strip PTI’s bat symbol, further worsening PTI’s legal and political battle.

Wrestler Vinesh Phogat returns Arjuna and Khel Ratna awards, leaves them at Kartavya Path amid WFI election row

On 30th December (Saturday), Wrestler Vinesh Phogat returned her Arjuna and Khel Ratna Awards days after making the announcement to that effect. She left her awards at the Kartavya Path pavement in the national capital after Delhi Police stopped her from reaching the Prime Minister’s Office for security reasons.

Earlier on 26th December (Tuesday), Phogat had announced through her X (formerly Twitter) account that she would be returning her Khel Ratna and Arjuna Award claiming that the awards were meaningless at a time when wrestlers are struggling to get justice.

In her post dated 26th December, Phogat had also shared a letter that she wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In the letter, she urged PM Modi to take action against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh whom she alleged of making statements in the media. Notably, legal cases against Brij Bhushan Singh are already ongoing.

Meanwhile, on Saturday (30th December), Phogat attempted to reach the prime minister’s office to return her awards but she was prevented by the Delhi police from reaching the PMO. Subsequently, she left the two awards at the Kartavya Path which were later picked up by the Delhi Police.

Reacting to the development, Bajrang Punia tweeted, “May this day not come in the life of any player” which was retweeted by Sakshi Malik, another rebel wrestler who had launched a protest earlier this year.

Earlier on 22nd December, Bajrang Punia had announced that he was returning his Padma Shri award to Prime Minister Narendra Modi which was awarded to him in 2019.

Previously, on the day when elections for the newly-elected Wrestling body concluded and Sanjay Singh was elected as its President, Sakshi Malik held a press conference. Unhappy with the election of Brij Bhushan Singh’s loyalist Sanjay Singh as WFI Chief, Malik announced her retirement from the sport.

The recent decisions come days after the Sports Ministry suspended all the activities of the newly-elected Wrestling Federation of India body till further notice. The Ministry took action against the sporting body stating that it announced junior national championships with “complete disregard for the existing rules and regulations”.

The ministry also reportedly said, “The newly elected body appears to be in complete control of former office bearers, disregarding the Sports Code.”

Following the decision, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports wrote to the Indian Olympic Association to form an ad hoc committee to replace the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI).

Tata Electronics to recruit 1,000 female technicians in Assam for Semiconductor Assembly Testing and Packaging facility in Karnataka

Tata group company Tata Electronics, which has big plans for the semiconductor industry, is recruiting 1000 female technicians in Assam for its semiconductor facility in Narasapur near Bengaluru. The company is conducting a recruitment drive next month at 10 locations in Assam.

It was confirmed by Assam cabinet minister Jayanta Mallabaruah on X on 30 December. “Proud to announce that after our first recruitment drive where we selected 541 female candidates, we are going to hold another recruitment drive. TATA Electronics, through Assam Skill Development Mission, will conduct a recruitment test from January 3 to 8, 2024 across 8 districts in the state to hire 1000 female candidates for FATP facility at Narasapura (near Bangalore)”, he tweeted. The minister added that interested individuals can apply.

As per details enclosed by him, recruitment tests will be held at 10 different locations in Assam from 3rd January to 8th January. The tests will be held at ITIs and other institutions at Kamrup Rural, Morigaon, Udalguri, Baksa, Lakhimpur, Biswanath and East & West Karbi Anglong districts.

The notification issued by Assam Skill Development Mission states that 1000 female technicians will be recruited by Tata Electronics for its Final Assembly Testing and Packaging (FATP) facility at Narasapur near Bengaluru in Karnataka.

The selected candidates will be recruited under the Apprenticeship Act, 1965. The apprentices will get a stipend of ₹12,000 per month, apart from free food, transportation and accommodation. It is expected that after completing the training, the youths will join Tata’s upcoming semiconductor plant in Assam.

Tata Electronics is investing ₹200 crore in the semiconductor assembly, testing and packing unit at Narasapura in Kolar district, which is around 65 km from Bengaluru. Assembly, Testing and Packing is a major step in semiconductor manufacturing, where wafers are processed into individual chips, packaged, and then tested to prepare them to use in electronic devices.

Notably, the company has also acquired Wistron’s iPhone manufacturing unit in Kolar.

Tata Electronics is venturing into the semiconductor industry with a Final Assembly Testing and Packaging (FATP) facility before setting up a much larger semiconductor processing plant in Assam.

The company is investing ₹40,000 crore to set up a semiconductor processing plant in Jagiroad near Guwahati in Assam. The state govt has already approved the plant, and now the company is waiting for clearance from the centre to go ahead with the plant.

The company’s decision to set up the plant in Assam came after the state govt introduced a productivity-linked incentive scheme for the semiconductor industry. Assam govt has also assured enough supply of clean water for the industry. The semiconductor industry requires a large quantity of ultra-pure water during processing, and Assam has an abundant supply of water from Brahmaputra and its numerous tributaries.

‘Can’t an elder brother slap his younger sibling’: JD(U) MLA Gopal Mandal defends slapping a youth demanding compensation for death of family member

On 30th December (Saturday), JD(U) MLA Gopal Mandal landed in a controversy after getting caught on camera slapping a youth in Bihar’s Bhagalpur. As per reports, the incident unfolded at the Zero Mile Square area of the industrial police station. Hours earlier, an elderly person had lost his life in a tragic road accident following which family members and their supporters staged a protest demanding compensation.

The incident unfolded on Saturday morning when a cyclist met with an accident and collided with a speeding truck. In the tragic accident, the elderly individual suffered severe injuries and lost his life.

Following the incident, the aggrieved family members staged a protest on the main route from Zero Mile to Sabour, demanding compensation for the death of their relative. The protest interrupted traffic for hours prompting both Traffic DSP and local police officials to arrive at the scene and take control over the situation.

While the police were trying to pacific the family members, JD(U) MLA Gopal Mandal also reached the spot. Subsequently, the family members of the deceased started protesting in front of MLA Gopal Mandal demanding compensation.

As per the visuals and media reports, the JD(U) leader slapped a relative of the deceased person who was demanding compensation.

When questioned by the media over the slapping incident, JD(U) MLA Gopal Mandal defended himself arguing that the youth he slapped was his supporter. According to him, the victim was pulling him and not letting him explain his points to the crowd.

He said, “That’s why I slapped him. I am not an idiot who would slap a common man during elections. I am preparing to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. I am engaged in providing compensation of Rs 20 lakh to the victim’s family.”

He argued, can’t an elder brother slap his younger brother? There is nothing in this that should be exaggerated. Those who died were residents of the panchayat adjacent to my assembly constituency.

He added, “I will write to the DM and the transport department regarding the compensation demand and ensure compensation for the deceased’s family.”

Incidentally, the victim also downplayed the slapping incident claiming that he is an elder brother, and there was no problem. However, he did not say anything further.

Strikingly, in the video of the incident that is going viral on social media, the victim can be heard registering a protest after getting slapped by the JD(U) leader. In the video, he could be heard saying, he is saying that he is a leader then what? Will he slap us?

Despite the JD(U) MLA’s clarification and justification of the slapping incident, the protest by agitated locals continued.

Launching a scathing attack on the Nitish Kumar-Tejaswi-Yadav-led government in the state, the BJP stated that the incident showed that power has made JD(U) leaders arrogant and they consider the general public as secondary beings. The party asserted that the people would shed the arrogance of such leaders in the future.

I.N.D.I.A. bloc allies refuse to share seats with Congress in Punjab, Bengal, and Maharashtra, the alliance reduces to just about serving Samosas in meetings

On 19th December, the opposition parties during the fourth meeting of the I.N.D.I.A. bloc asserted that they would finalise the seat-sharing formulas at the earliest. However, days after the meeting, three major alliance partners – Trinamool Congress, Aam Aadmi Party, and Shiv Sena (UBT) have staked their claims over all or majority of the seats in the states where they have substantive presence.

They have argued that while the I.N.D.I.A. bloc should contest together nationally, they will not leave space for I.N.D.I.A. alliance partners particularly Congress in these states.

West Bengal: Mamata Banerjee asserts that only TMC can fight BJP in the state

On Thursday (28th December), Mamata Banerjee declared that her party All India Trinamool Congress would fight alone in West Bengal for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, however claiming that the INDIA bloc would be present nationally.

She had said, “I.N.D.I.A. bloc will be there across the country. In Bengal, the TMC will fight and defeat the BJP. Remember, in Bengal, only TMC can teach a lesson to the BJP and not any other party.”

Her statements were a clear indication that there would be no seat-sharing for I.N.D.I.A. bloc partners Congress and the Left in the state.

Last time, Congress and TMC had contested separately on all 42 Lok Sabha seats in the 2019 General elections. While the state Congress leadership had raised voices to have a seat-sharing formula with CPI(M), the party’s central leadership decided against it and went to the polls alone.

Punjab: Arvind Kejriwal says AAP wants to contest all 13 seats in the state

Earlier on 17th December, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)’s chief and Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal, expressed his desire to contest all thirteen Lok Sabha seats in Punjab and one Lok Sabha seat in Chandigarh in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.

During a public meeting in Bathinda, Punjab, with Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Arvind Kejriwal said, “There are 13 seats in Punjab and one seat in Chandigarh. My heart says the way people are getting benefitted; you should give all 13 seats to us and make us strong.”

In fact, Congress and AAP had been face-to-face over seat sharing in the state. On 12th December, Punjab Congress chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring said that his party would contest all 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab. Furthermore, he added that the high command had not given any instructions for contesting the upcoming General elections in any alliance.

On 14th December, AAP chief spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang said, “While the party high command’s final decision is to be taken, we are already preparing in all 13 Lok Sabha constituencies. The Chief Minister had declared in the Hoshiarpur rally that we will contest in all 13 seats.”

Maharashtra: War of words ensuing between leaders of Shiv Sena (UBT) and Maharashtra Congress

In Maharashtra, the I.N.D.I.A. bloc partners have been embroiled in a war of words over the Shiv Sena (UBT)’s demand to contest 23 out of the 48 Lok Sabha seats in the state.

Shiv Sena (UBT) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut argued that their I.N.D.I. Alliance partner Congress would have to start with zero while they have been fighting on 23 seats in Lok Sabha adding that state leaders giving comments over the seat-sharing formula doesn’t matter.

He said, “…This is Maharashtra and Shiv Sena is the biggest party here. Congress is a national party… Uddhav Thackeray is having positive discussions with the decision-making leaders of Congress including Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, and Mallikarjun Kharge. We have always said that Shiv Sena has always been fighting on 23 seats in the Lok Sabha elections and during our (I.N.D.I.A. alliance) meeting, we decided that discussions will be done later on the seats that we have won. Congress did not win a seat in Maharashtra so they have to start from zero (seats) but Congress is an important ally for us in MVA…”

However, his assertion about Congress didn’t go well with the state leadership of the Congress party. Hours after the Uddhav Sena faction aired their demand, Congress leaders slammed the UBT leaders asking ‘What will they (Shiv Sena UBT) do with the seats?’

Maharashtra Congress leader Milind Deora reminded his alliance partner that no alliance can proceed without consultation with the local leadership of Maharashtra.

According to Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam, leaders of the I.N.D.I.A. bloc ought to prevent conflicts over winning seats. He also claimed that after the vertical split in the original Shiv Sena, Uddhav Thackeray’s faction didn’t have enough candidates to field on these seats.

He said, “The Shiv Sena may demand 23 seats, but what will they do with them? The Shiv Sena’s leaders have left, resulting in a crisis. Shiv Sena faces a candidate shortage.”

Further, Former Chief Minister and senior Maharashtra Congress leader Ashok Chavan termed Shiv Sena (UBT) demand “excessive” and argued that there was a need for adjustment among the parties.

He said, “While every party desires a larger share of seats, the demand for 23 seats by the Shiv Sena was excessive given the current circumstances.”

Last time, in the 2019 Lok Sabha General elections, Congress and NCP had fought together against the alliance of Shiv Sena and BJP on 48 Lok Sabha seats up for grabs in the state.

Furthermore, as per reports, the Congress party could face similar seat-sharing hurdles in many more states including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand.

The rifts in alliance partners and the failure of four meetings of the I.N.D.I.A. bloc to achieve material gain followed by these announcements rejecting seats for alliance partners have given strength to JDU MP Sunil Kumar Pintu’s remark who had dubbed the fourth alliance meeting a grand failure.

According to him, the meetings were a place to have chai and samosas but last time the alliance partners failed on that aspect as well and the meeting went inconclusive with no Samosas offered for its participants either.

Home Minister Amit Shah launches reference books on three new criminal laws, the books give comparisons of new laws with old ones

0

Union Home Minister Amit Shah introduced the reference books on the three recently enacted transformative criminal justice laws passed by Parliament on Saturday.

The Rajya Sabha passed the three criminal bills–the Bharatiya Nyaya (Second) Sanhita, 2023; the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha (Second) Sanhita, 2023; and the Bharatiya Sakshya (Second) Bill, 2023–replacing the IPC, the CrPC and the Evidence Act. The bills were earlier passed by the Lok Sabha.

The Union Minister informed that the three books have given useful section-wise comparisons of new laws with the old ones, highlighting the vision of the government for a speedy justice delivery system.

“Introducing the reference books on the three recently enacted transformative criminal justice laws. The three books published by Eastern Book Company have given useful section-wise comparisons of new laws with the old ones. The books highlight the vision of the government for a fair and speedy justice delivery system,” Shah posed on X.

Thanking the Director and Senior Associate Editor, Shah said, “Heartfelt thanks to Surendra Malik, the Director and Bhumika Indulia, Senior Associate Editor of the publishing house, for swiftly coming up with the books.”

Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita will have 358 sections (instead of 511 sections in the IPC). A total of 20 new crimes have been added to the bill, and the imprisonment sentence has been increased for 33 of them.

The amount of the fine has been increased in 83 crimes and mandatory minimum punishment has been introduced in 23 crimes. The penalty of community service has been introduced for six crimes and 19 sections have been repealed or removed from the bill.

The bills were first introduced during the Monsoon session of Parliament in August. After the Standing Committee on Home Affairs made several recommendations, the government decided to withdraw the bills and introduced their redrafted versions last week.

“All that is left is for BJP to declare Lord Ram their poll candidate,” says miffed Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut has joined the rank of leaders mocking and politicising the Pran Pratishtha event scheduled to take place on 22nd January 2024 in Ayodhya. On Saturday (30th December), Raut parroted the statements of his allies in the INDI Alliance calling the Ram Mandir inauguration a political event. The Rajya Sabha MP said that the only thing left for the BJP is to announce Lord Ram as their election candidate.

Raut said, “Now, the only thing left is that the BJP will announce that Lord Ram will be their candidate for the elections. So much politics is being done in the name of Lord Ram.”

Meanwhile, the Shiv Sena (UBT) Chief himself has said that he has not received any invite for the Pran Pratishtha event and that he does not need one either.

“First, I have not received any invitation. Second, I dont need an invitation to go there. Ram Lalla is not a party’s property, he belongs to everyone. I just want that this event not to be politicised…This decision was given by the Supreme Court, not the government,” Uddhav Thackeray said.

This comes two days after Sanjay Raut said that Shiv Sena (UBT) Chief Uddhav Thackeray will not attend the Pran Praitshta ceremony on 22nd January. He had called it as a “BJP event”. He even went on to allege that the BJP had kidnapped Lord Ram.

Raut had said, “He will definitely go but only after the BJP’s event gets over. Why should one go to a BJP event? It is not a national event. The BJP is holding rallies and campaigning a lot for this function but where is the purity in it.”

Alleging that the grand Pran Pratishta ceremony is a diversionary tactic, Raut had said, “The BJP wants the country to forget about unemployment, inflation, and issues concerning Manipur.”

While Raut is mocking the holy event, on Wednesday (27th December), Raut gave a contradictory statement claiming credit for the Babri Masjid demolition. On one hand Raut launched a credit war for Babri Masjid demolition while alleging that the BJP and RSS had no involvement in crucial historical events in the movement, on the other hand he is taking a jibe at Lord Ram.

Raut added that the Kothari brothers were Shiv Sainik. Ram and Sharad Kothari were among the many Kar Sevaks who were shot dead by the police on the orders of the then Mulayam Singh-led SP government in Uttar Pradesh.

Back to back political reactions are pouring in as the much-awaited Pran Pratishtha event approaches. On Saturday (30th December), Prime Minister Modi inaugurated a slew of projects worth Rs 15,000 crore in Ayodhya, ahead of the consecration ceremony.

These development projects give Ayodhyadham a facelift including a new airport and a revamped railway station. The airport, designed to mirror the temple architecture, anticipates a surge in tourism to Ayodhya.
