Haryana Violence: Monu Manesar denies involvement, blames Congress MLA for the unrest

0

Monu Manesar alias Mohit Yadav, a member of the Bajrang Dal, became the centre of controversy when the Muslim assailants and their media associates attempted to use him as a scapegoat and blame him for the major violence that rocked the state on 31 July following an attack on a Vishva Hindu Parishad procession in Haryana’s Nuh district.

He, however, refuted any role in the clashes or proactive social media posts in a recent interview. He clarified that he had not been present for the procession and blamed Congress MLA from the Ferozepur Jhirka assembly constituency named Mamman Khan for the unrest. He also expressed confidence in the Rajasthan Police regarding the matter.

Notably, despite the claims as well as the allegations, it has already been established that he was not a part of the religious rally.

The Gau Rakshak stated, “Whoever is accusing me, none of the videos you must have watched contains any statement that might be construed as provocative or as an inciting factor. The violence is caused by criminals and cow smugglers. The cybercrime police station was set on fire. They are entirely to blame.”

“Nobody was triggered by my video. I skipped the procession. Our senior members attended it, but I didn’t. A renowned leader of the Vishva Hindu Parishad named Dr Surendra Jain was also fired upon. What could possibly be worse than that,” he asked.

He further continued, “Our Hindu mothers and sisters were targeted by gunfire. The Hindu community will not tolerate their victimisation and being shot at in a Muslim-dominated area like this. I am watching social media and keeping in touch with my people. Launchers and modern weapons like the AK-47 were used in the violence.”

When questioned who he held accountable for the violence, he replied, “The Muslim MLA in the region, Mamman Khan, is solely responsible. He is enticing Muslims to come forward and assuring them of his support in the fight. If you want to battle, head for the border.”

“I chose not to go because law enforcement officers told me it would cause trouble. I was absent only for that reason. I believed that the yatra should continue and prayers should be offered at our temples. I was aware that social media would be used against me if I went there. It is deeply disturbing that people are using bombs and cylinders to make threats,” he mentioned as the reason for his non-attendance at the event.

He had previously expressed his desire to attend the shobha yatra which led to multiple threats and warnings from people belonging to the Muslim community.

Monu Manesar, the head of the Gau Rakshak wing of Bajrang Dal in Haryana, came in the news when he was accused of allegedly kidnapping and killing two cow smugglers named Junaid and Nasir, both residents of Ghatmeeka village in Bharatpur district of Rajasthan. Their bodies were found in a charred car in Loharu, Bhiwani in February of this year.

The situation continues to remain tense in Nuh, Gurugram and Sohna districts, where prohibitory orders on the mass movement of people have been issued after Hindus came under attack by rabid Muslim crowds in Nuh and then the chaos spread to different parts of the state.

‘Thousands raised slogans to burn us alive’: Exclusive details of FIR based on complaint by PSI posted at Nuh Temple reveals details of chilling attack on cyber police station

On 31st July, a Muslim mob in Nuh of Mewat, Haryana, attacked thousands of Hindu devotees attending the Jalabhishek Yatra on Shravan Somvar. OpIndia accessed several FIRs registered in the case. In the FIR registered on the complaint of Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) Suraj, the complainant described how Islamic rioters attacked Cyber Crime Police Station, Nuh and attempted to burn the police personnel.

Details of the FIR

The FIR has been registered under Sections 148, 149, 332, 353, 186, 427, 435, 436, 395, and 397 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 25 of the Arms ACT.

In his complaint, PSI Surah said he was with PSI Sudhir, head constable Gulshan, constable Raghubir Singh, constable Ravikant, and constable Shubham at Cyber Crime Cell Nuh. A mob comprising thousands of rioters suddenly circled the police station and started pelting stones. They were raising slogans ‘burn them alive’. SI Digvijay Singh Sadar Tavdu and his associate were sitting in a Bolero when the attack happened. They somehow managed to escape and took shelter inside the police station. Meanwhile, the rioters kept pelting stones.

The rioters used a yellow bus (reportedly hijacked) to break down the walls and main gate of the police station. Then they climbed the walls and roof of the police station and opened fire at the police personnel with an aim to kill them using illegal weapons.

PSI Suraj and his colleague hid behind a wall to save themselves. Constable Pradeep used a tear gas gun to disperse the mob, but the attack continued. Police personnel had to fire shots in the air using govt allowed weapons in self-defence. The police fired a total of 105 rounds.

PSI Suraj shot 20 rounds, out of which ten rounds were fired using his own gun and ten from ASI Sanjay’s gun. PSI Sudhir also fired 20 shots, of which ten rounds were from his gun and 10 were from PSI Bhajanlal’s govt allotted gun. ASI Suresh fired ten rounds. The head constable fired 25 rounds from SLR. Constable Raghuveer fired 25 rounds using SLR. Constable Subham fired 15 rounds from a carbine.

However, the attack on the police station continued, and the mob started burning vehicles. Both government and private vehicles were burnt down using petrol. They also damaged vehicles parked inside the police station premises.

The rioters burnt down five vehicles, including a bike, and damaged ten vehicles. They also looted a plastic cooler, one investor, one battery, one laptop, and ASI Suresh’s wallet, which had Rs 5,000 cash and important documents. They damaged water tanks on the mess walls, police station and washroom roofs.

By then, the additional police force had reached the police station. “The rioters ran away while threatening to kill us”, the FIR said. Head constable Surendra and constable Shubham were injured.

‘Law and order is a policing issue’: Supreme Court refuses to stay VHP-Bajrang Dal protest rallies, directs authorities to ensure there is no hate speech

On the 2nd of August, the Supreme Court refused to stay the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal protest rallies in Delhi-NCR areas against the attack on Jalabhishek Yatra in Mewat by Islamists. However, the court ordered the administration to ensure that there is no hate speech during the protests and to take precautions in sensitive areas.

During the hearing, the two-judge bench of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and SV Bhatti asked the state governments and police forces of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana to ensure that there is no hate speech against any community, violence or damage to property.

While refusing to stay on the VHP rallies, the apex court categorically stated that Law and Order is a policing issue and the court will not go either way. The court added additional police forces should be deployed and all possible measures should be taken for the security of the general masses and maintaining the rule of law.

The Court said, “We are not going this way or that way. Law and order is policing issue which must be taken care of. Let them take action as per law so that there is no violence, hate speech, or law and order issues. Deploy additional police force and the CCTV cameras.”

The petition and court’s observations

The application was filed by Shaheen Abdullah through senior advocate Chander Singh, seeking directions to stop the VHP-Bajrang Dal rallies in Delhi-NCR. Advocate Singh urgently mentioned the matter before Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud this morning during the hearing on the Article 370 case. Advocate Singh expressed apprehensions that hate speech and further violence may arise if the protests are allowed to be held.

Subsequently, CJI passed orders for an immediate listing of the application, and the special bench was constituted at 2 PM.

Appearing for the petitioner, Senior Advocate CU Singh stated that there has been a call for a large number of protests in the National Capital Region. He expressed apprehensions that there were concerns about hate speech being made calling for the “genocide” of one community.

The bench emphasised that the authorities should ensure compliance with the Supreme Court’s already passed orders in October 2022 and April 2023 in this matter. These orders direct the police to register suo motu FIR against hate speech crimes.

Justice Khanna said, “There cannot be any quarrel that hate speeches vitiate the atmosphere. Mr. Raju (Additional Solicitor General), please ensure there is compliance with our earlier order. Please ensure that authorities have to ensure there are no violence or hate speeches.”

During the proceedings, Justice Khanna stated that law and order is basically a policing issue that must be taken care of, however, the courts have to ensure that rule of law is maintained. Responding to the petitioner’s argument that a Mahapanchayat is scheduled to take place in Haryana today evening at 4 PM, Justice Khanna said, “Let it be, as long as there is no hate speech, no violence whether destruction of property or violence against individuals.”

In its order, the court directed police forces to make proper arrangements and deploy additional police or paramilitary forces in all sensitive areas. The court also asked authorities to use CCTV cameras and do video recordings wherever required.

The Court’s order stated, “We hope and trust that the State along with police shall ensure that there is no hate speech against any community or violence against any property. Wherever required, additional police force or paramilitary force be deployed, and wherever required authorities shall use CCTV cameras or make video recordings in all sensitive areas wherever required. The CCTV footage shall be preserved.”

The next hearing in the case will take place on Friday, 4 August.

Nuh, Haryana: Ahsan Mewati ‘Pakistani’ incites Muslims, threatens to kill Monu Manesar, celebrates attack by Islamists post violence

Amid the Nuh violence in Haryana which erupted after the Islamists attacked the Jalabhishek procession organized by Hindus, a YouTube video has come to the fore in which the host who identifies himself as Ahsan Mewati Pakistani is seen inciting the Mewati Muslims to create violence and kill Bajrang Dal’s Monu Manesar.

The video was posted a day before the violence in which Ahsan stated that the Hindus should not be spared at all. “This Monu Manesar is coming to Mewat. He should be killed. Why are Mewatis so scared? These Hindus should be beaten and taught a lesson,” Ahsan could be heard saying.

The video host belongs to the Mewati community but is a resident of Pakistan. Ahsan in the video further abused Hindus and used derogatory language for Hindu women. He said that Muslims are not scared even after they slit the throats of people.

“Mewatis have become aggressive now. I request all the Meo Muslims to keep the aggression alive and kill him (Monu Manesar). Ya to maro ya to maaro (kill or die),” Ahsan could be heard saying in the video that has gone viral over the social media now.

He further says that if Monu Manesar comes, he should not be allowed to go back on his own feet. He incites Meo Muslims of Mewat to take revenge for Junaid, Nasir etc and says that the Meo Mawatis should now rise up to fight. “Hindus cower when they see the tip of a sword. But we Meo Muslims can go on stabbing and slashing, we don’t have fear.”

He even mentions and supports what Congress MLA Mamman Khan says.

Ahsan Mewati celebrated the attack by Islamists in Nuh

Ahsan Mewati Pakistani seems to have started a YouTube channel in the year 2019 and has more than 80,000 online subscribers. He has posted around 272 videos till date in which he claims to be showcasing the Mewati culture. However, in the latest video that he published on August 1 after the violence, he could be seen celebrating the attack by Islamists and indicated that Hindus deserved to be attacked.

“Meo Muslims are aggressive. Do not challenge us. This is what happens when Meos are challenged,” he said. He further continued to abuse Hindus and said that they deserved to be attacked.

Further, Ahsan posted another video on the same day saying that it was blissful to see Islamists attacking the procession organized by Hindus. He also said that the violent cries of ‘Allahu Akhbar’ provided peace to his soul.

“The slogans of Allahu Akhbar were amazing. They just touched the soul. Monu Manesar deserves to be killed,” he said further celebrating the attack saying, “Majo aa gayo, majo aa gayo (I enjoyed it).”

Ahsan abused Hindus, insulted Hindu idols

In the earlier videos posted on his YouTube channel, Ahsan could be seen abusing Hindus who believe in Lord Rama. He said that Hindus can never make Akhand Bharat. The Pakistani host also abused Hindu tradition and said that Islam was the greatest of all religions.

“These people want Akhand Bharat? That is never going to happen. Islam is the greatest of all religions. What you people do is create your own Gods and worship them. What if I break that idol? Will that even protect itself? How can it protect you then? You all are kafirs and deserve to be in hell,” he said addressing the video to all the Hindus.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=slDgv_3wTUI

In one of his old videos, Ahsan claimed that he is from Mewat, Pakistan. However, several social media handles claimed that this ‘Pakistani’ YouTuber hails from Alwar, Rajasthan. The Alwar Police took cognizance of the event and confirmed that Ahsan had no connection with Alwar, Rajasthan. The location of the host of the video at present remains unverified. The Cyber Cell is said to have been looking into the matter as per Alwar Police.

Monu Manesar blames Congress MLA Mamman Khan

Notably, Monu Manesar has denied any involvement in the clashes and has said that he was not even present in the Yatra. He has blamed the Congress MLA Mamman Khan for the Nuh violence and stated that he extended support to the Islamists who attacked the procession.

What happened in Nuh that day?

It was reported earlier that several devotees were stuck at various locations including Nuh temples, chowk, and near the police station after the mob raising slogans of “Allahu Akbar” attacked the Yatra in a planned attack. Following the violence, VHP president Alok Kumar had urged the police and administration to quickly rescue the devotees stressing that the yatra is an annual affair and this year it was targeted in a planned and organised manner.

The VHP members also highlighted that the mob had targeted the procession in an organised manner as a result of this many devotees had turned hostage finding shelter to protect themselves from stone pelting and gunshots. According to media reports, around 2500 people had taken shelter in a temple near Gurugram.

However, the Nuh Police informed to OpIndia on August 1 that all the Hindus who were trapped in the temple were rescued and escorted home. A total of 5 people, including 2 Home Guard personnel, were killed in this violence. The others who have been brutally killed have been identified as Bajrang Dal activist Abhishek Rajput and sweet shop worker Shakti Saini. A Maulana named Hafiz Saad of the Sector 57 mosque in Gurugram has been among the deceased too.

Details from the violence are still emerging. This is a developing story.

Note: An earlier version of this report incorrectly identified Ahsan Mewati Pakistani as an Indian citizen. It has now been learned that although he belongs to the Meo Muslim community that originated in the Mewat region in India, he is a Pakistani citizen.

Rajasthan’s sacked minister Rajendra Gudha reads out pages from the red diary, CM Gehlot’s son, his PA and alleged transactions in RCA find mention

On the 2nd of August, Former Rajasthan Minister Rajendra Gudha held a press conference and shared some specifics from the ‘Red Diary’ that reportedly contains details of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s financial transactions and other corrupt dealings.

During the press conference, Gudha read out three pages from the diary and also shared specifics with the media. He stated that the corruption details and financial transactions of the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) are clearly mentioned on these pages.

In these purported pages, there is an alleged conversation between Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s OSD Saubhag Singh and Tourism Development Corporation Chairman Dharmendra Rathore. The alleged conversation is regarding the settlement and dealings in the election of RCA. It is worth noting that CM’s son Vaibhav Gehlot is currently the president of RCA.

Gudha has claimed that in these pages Rathore, a close aide of the CM, has mentioned transactions with the CM’s son and RCA secretary Bhavani Samota, among others.

According to Gudha, the handwriting on these purported pages is of Dharmendra Rathore and to hold these leaders accountable for the illicit transactions, he wanted to table the Red Diary in the Vidhansabha. With this, he stated that all the facts would have come out officially, however, he stated that he was prevented from doing so in the assembly and Congress MLAs pushed him.

He alleged that following his disclosure, action should have been taken against Congress MLAs who manhandled him, instead of that he was suspended from the assembly session for speaking against the Congress government’s misgovernance, corruption, and failure on the law-and-order front.

He asserted that he will keep making revelations on the pages from the Red diary and even if he is sent to jail, his trusted person will keep sharing these pages with the media. However, he cleared that some pages of the diary are missing but assured the media that he will share all the pages that are intact. He also added that he is not blackmailing the government instead it is the complete opposite and Congress leader Randhawa had been pressurizing him to apologize for doing all these disclosures.

The content of these three pages

Vaibhav Ji (CM Ashok Gehlot’s son) and I both discussed the RCA election expenses, and how Bhavani Samota is not giving people’s money despite earlier agreements. Rajeev Khanna and Bhavani Samota came to the house and did financial transactions for the RCA election. Bhavani Samota did not fulfill the promise he had made to most of the people. I said it is not right. If you complete it, Bhavani Samota said that I will apprise CP sir about this and will let you know by January 31.

Bhavani Samota is former RAS officer and is currently the secretary of RCA. It is claimed that he is close to Rajasthan assembly speaker Dr. CP Joshi. Earlier, Samota has also been Personal Secretary to CP Joshi.

Gudha had mentioned Lal Diary earlier as well. He claimed how much money was given to which national leader of Congress, all these things are also written in this Red diary. He stressed that this money was paid to those leaders on a monthly basis and it was done so that these leaders keep lobbying for CM Ashok Gehlot. He alleged that Gehlot’s chair was saved by lobbying in front of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.

How the issue has brought Congress government’s corruption issue to the forefront

The controversy surrounding the ‘Red Diary’ started on 24 July when MLA from Udaipurwati assembly seat Rajendra Gudha waved it in the house after he was sacked as a state Minister for highlighting the failure of the state government in protecting women. He went in front of the assembly speaker with the diary. Following the incident, he was suspended from the House for the entire session.

Last month while addressing a public meeting in Jhunjhunu, Rajendra Gudha made a sensational claim and launched an attack on CM Ashok Gehlot. During the public rally, he said, ‘ED and Income Tax had raided the house of Dharmendra Rathore. On the orders of CM Gehlot, I took out the red diary from the house where the raid was going on. If I had not taken out the red diary, CM Gehlot would have been in jail. In this red diary, there is a complete account of what all was given to the MLAs to keep them in his fold.”

In his Sikar rally on 27 July, PM Modi made a reference to the ‘Red Diary’ and took a jibe at the Ashok Gehlot-led Congress government. He stated that it is said that the Congress party’s black deeds seem to be listed in this red diary.

OpIndia Exclusive: ‘800-900 strong mob raised Pakistan Zindabad and Allah-Hu-Akbar slogans’. FIR based on complaint by ASI posted at Nuh Temple reveals details

On 31st July, an Islamic mob in Nuh of Mewat, Haryana, attacked thousands of Hindu devotees attending the Jalabhishek Yatra on Shravan Somvar. OpIndia accessed several FIRs registered in the case. As per the FIR registered on the complaint of Assistant Sub Inspector Dharmendra, the complainant mentioned that the rioters raised slogans of Allah-Hu-Akbar and Pakistan Zindabad while attacking the devotees at the temple.

Details of the FIR

FIR was registered on the complaint of Assistant Sub Inspector Dharmendra under Sections 148, 149, 295A, 332, 353, 186, 188, 427, 435, 307 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Section 25 or Arms Act and Section 4 of Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act. FIR was registered against Lukman, Sahil Wajid Hussain, Jaakar, Mushtaq and 800-900 others.

ASI Dharmendra, ASI Arun Singh, Head Constable Jitendra, home guard Bir Singh, home guard Trilok, home guard Aijaz, SPO Narendra and other police officials, along with driver Mohammed Bilal were stationed at the temple during the Jalabhishek Yatra.

In his complaint, ASI Dharmendra said he was posted at Nalhad temple for duty during Mewat Jalabhishek Yatra. Around 800-900 unknown people of specific communities started moving towards Shiv Mandir to cause trouble during the religious program in a planned manner. They were raising slogans of Allah-Hu-Akbar and had batons, sticks, stones and illegal weapons in their hands.

My associates and I tried to alleviate the situation. We attempted to stop them, but they started pelting stones and opened fire to kill the devotees present for Jalabhishek and police personnel while raising Allah-Hu-Akbar slogans. During the attack, home guards Bir Singh and Trilok got injured.

They tried to argue with them and stop them from attacking. Still, the members of the Muslim community started walking towards the temple while raising Allah-Hu-Akbar and Pakistan Zindabad slogans. ASI fired three shots in the air to disperse the crowd, but instead of running away, the Islamist mob started damaging vehicles parked on the road leading to the temple. They threw petrol on the vehicles and used petrol-filled bottles to burn down the vehicles while raising Pakistan Zindabad and Allah-Hu-Akbar slogans.

Gujarat: Ismail Yusuf Rajat sentenced to the death penalty for abduction, rape, and murder of a 20-month-old child

0

Ismail, also known as Ismail Yusuf Hajat, was found guilty and convicted by Additional Sessions Judge Shankuntala Solanki on Monday for the abduction, rape, and murder of a 20-month-old child. The judge sentenced him to the death penalty for committing the heinous crime.

The charges against him were based on sections 302 (murder) and 376AB (rape of a girl under 12 years of age) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and various sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

Confirming the court’s decision, Nayan Sukhadwala, the district government pleader, stated that Ismail also received a life imprisonment sentence for sections 364 (kidnapping with intent to murder) and 366 (kidnapping with intent to rape) of the IPC. In addition to these harsh sentences, he was ordered to pay a fine of ₹1,000.

Considering the devastated state of the victim’s family, the court went further, instructing Ismail to pay ₹10 lacks to the grieving relatives. The brutality of the crime became apparent when it was revealed that the young girl’s body had suffered severe injuries, including bite marks on her abdominal area.

The prosecution’s case was built on substantial evidence, revealing that Ismail, who was acquainted with the girl’s father, cunningly deceived the innocent child by promising to buy her snacks on February 27. However, Ismail never returned with the child, causing great distress to the family, who promptly alerted the police. Tragically, several hours later, the lifeless body of the girl was discovered near a lake, hidden behind an abandoned building in Kapletha village. At this point, Ismail had already disappeared.

Despite the setbacks, the police launched an exhaustive search operation and eventually tracked Ismail down to a village near Surat. On February 28, they apprehended him, and he was subsequently charged with the appalling crimes of rape and murder.

Coimbatore car bomb case: NIA arrests mastermind Jameesha Mubin’s close aide Mohammed Idris, 12 arrests so far

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has now arrested a total of 12 people in connection with the car explosion that occurred last year in the vicinity of the Sangameswarar temple in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

Jameesha Mubin (29), from HMPR Street at Kottaimedu, the organizer of the attack was close friends with the 25-year-old Mohammed Idris of GM Nagar near Ukkadam in Coimbatore. The former drove a car filled with explosives in steel drums and LPG cylinders and was killed after the car bomb went off in front of the Hindu religious place at Kottaimedu on 23 October 2022, around 4 am.

According to sources, Mohammed Idris was involved in the criminal scheme that caused the automobile blast. His participation was identified by the investigators after looking at his call detail records along with the statements of other accused.

They further stated that he was called to the NIA’s temporary headquarters here on 31 July. Moreover, he was told to show up early morning the next day. The agency apprehended him and transported him to Chennai after the second round of questioning. The former is anticipated to present him to the NIA special court at Poonamalle in Chennai on 2nd August.

The organization submitted a chargesheet against six offenders in the case on 20 April including Mohammed Azharudheen, Muhammad Thalha, Firoz Ismail, Muhammed Riyas, Nawaz Ismail, and Afsar Khan. Umar Farooq, Firoz Khan, Mohammed Thoufiq, Sheikh Hidayathullah and Sanofar Ali were the subjects of a supplemental chargesheet that was filed by the agency on 2 June.

The main accused, according to the NIA, was motivated by Zahran Hashim, the perpetrator of the 2019 Easter bombings in Sri Lanka, to operate an Islamic State (IS) module. Jameesha Mubin intended to plan an attack resembling the bombs on Easter Sunday. NIA officials unearthed over 75 kg of potassium nitrate, aluminium powder, sulphur and charcoal during a search at his rented house on the second floor of a building.

The opposition parties including the All India Anna Dravidian Progressive Federation (AIADMK) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) termed the blast as a failure of the state government.

2019 Sri Lanka Easter bombings

Three churches in Sri Lanka and three upscale hotels in the country’s commercial city, Colombo, were the targets of a coordinated ISIS-related terrorist suicide bombing attack on 21 April 2019 on Easter Sunday. A total of 269 individuals died, including eight suicide bombers, three police officers, and at least 45 foreign nationals. 500 more people suffered injuries.

The church bombings were carried out during Easter services in Negombo, Batticaloa and Colombo and the hotels bombed included the Shangri-La, Cinnamon Grand, Kingsbury, and Tropical Inn. A second round of strikes, according to the State Intelligence Service, was planned but was thwarted by government raids.

All eight of the suicide bombers involved in the attacks, according to Sri Lankan government sources, were Sri Lankan residents affiliated with the National Thowheeth Jama’ath (NTJ), an Islamic terrorist group with possible foreign connections that has a history of attacking Buddhists in Sri Lanka.

Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2 gets an ‘A’ certificate from CBFC after 27 modifications: Masturbation, unnatural sex, alcohol, nudity and more

Actor Akshay Kumar’s controversial film OMG 2 has received certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) as the film is set for its theatrical release on August 11. The Amit Rai directorial has got an ‘Adults Only’ that is an ‘A’ certificate. OMG 2 has been passed for release with around 27 modifications.

Alongside Akshay Kumar the also has actress Yami Gautam and actor Pankaj Tripathi in lead roles. It is notable that the songs and teaser of the film OMG 2 are already out, the trailer of the film was not released yet since the censor board has cleared it. In an Instagram post, actor Akshay Kumar informed that the trailer of the controversial film will be released on August 2nd.

The censor board has asked the makers of the film to make certain changes to Akshay Kumar’s character in the film including his portrayal of Lord Shiva in the film. Now the character played by Akshay Kumar has been altered from Lord Shiva to a messenger and a devotee of the Hindu God. In addition, scenes depicting frontal nudity in scenes involving Naga Sadhus have also been modified and have been replaced with side shots. A condom advertisement has also been removed.

The film board also asked for alterations to a dialogue that goes like this: “Nandi mere bhakt… Jo agya prabhu.” Additionally, the CBFC has removed the Temple announcement that refers to women as “Bhagwan ko bhakti…mahilayein nahi dekh sakti” to “O laal shirt wale bhaiya..baba ka dhayan karte rahe.”

The dialogue “High court maza aayega” has also been cut out since it is vulgar and disparaging to the body in question. The word “Rat” was also deleted from the label of the bottle containing the rat poison on the board’s changed visuals.

It is worth noting that the CBFC modified the visuals and dialogues – “Kya hove hai…till. aap ashleel keh rahi” by removing words “Shivji ke ling, ashleelta, Shri Bhagwad Gita, reference to Upanishad, atharved, Draupadi, Pandav, Krishna, gopiyaan, rasleela.

A dialogue from the now-modified character played by Akshay Kumar, the messenger of God, “Main… taang kyun adhaoon,” has been cut and appropriately replaced by the censor board. In addition, the board edited and replaced the scene of the Messenger of God bathing and meditating with appropriate replacement visuals. Additionally, the dialogue and visual parts of the scene where Kanti confronts a sex worker with sculptures of unnatural sex have been changed to more suitable ones.

The vulgar gestures made by the court orderly during the dialogue “Stree ki yoni…hawan kund hai” at two points and other notable alterations to the dialogue in OMG 2 are among them. The board also replaced the word ‘Haram’ with ‘Paap’.

The censor board noted that since the story is a work of fiction and place agonistic, it has changed the mentioned location to a fictional location and eliminated any overt references to any specific real-world location where it takes place.

The CBFC additionally modified the word “Ling” so that it is no longer used in isolation but rather as Shivling or Shiv, only when appropriate. The visuals of the youngster performing a sexual act have been toned down and appropriately changed in accordance with NCPCR guidelines.

With around 27 cuts and modifications and the ongoing controversy around the film’s subject as well as OMG 2’s box office clash with Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel’s much-hyped Gadar 2, it will be interesting to see how the audience receives the Akshay Kumar starrer.
