How ISRO played a key role during Operation Sindoor and gave India a decisive edge over Pakistan

India demonstrated its extraordinary military prowess during Operation Sindoor marking a remarkable shift in India’s policy towards Pakistan and terrorism. With a range of potent indigenous weapons, an impenetrable air defence system and the unwavering determination of the armed forces, India took the entire world, including Pakistan by surprise. In this historic military operation, the Indian Armed Forces were also assisted by Indian satellites.

While domestically developed weapons systems like Akashteer Air Defence system, MRSAM, UAS, L-70 Anti aircraft guns broke the back of Pakistan, they were ably assisted by India’s Space research Organisation ISRO.

Satellites worked actively for the safety of Indians

Addressing the 5th Convocation ceremony of the Central Agricultural University (CAU) in Imphal on 11th May, ISRO Chief V N Narayan said that during Operation Sindoor, at least 10 satellites were actively working to ensure the safety and security of Indian citizens. “At least 10 satellites are continuously working round-the-clock for the strategic purpose to ensure the safety and security of the citizens of the country,” he said.

“You all know about our neighbours. If we have to ensure the safety of our country, we have to serve through our satellites. We have to monitor our 7,000 km seashore areas. We have to monitor the entire Northern part continuously. Without satellite and drone technology, we can’t achieve that,” he added. The ISRO Chief said that all the Indian satellites worked with perfect accuracy.

Narayan said, “All the satellites worked with perfect accuracy. When we began, our camera resolution was between 36 and 72 cm. But India, as a developing nation, now has a camera on the Moon called the On-Orbiter High Resolution Camera, which is the world’s best resolution device. We also have other cameras which can show 26 cm resolution.”

“Whatever satellites we send are always connected to the benefit of our people, which also includes safety and security. At least 50 satellites are serving in television broadcast, telecommunications, safety and security areas,” the ISRO chief asserted.

Indian satellites provided precise trajectory of Pakistani drones

“The Indian air defence system stood tall and provided the perfect shield amid a barrage of drones and missiles fired from Pakistan during the recent military conflict and Indian satellites assisted the armed forces, providing them with the precise trajectory of air-borne weapons,” the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) said on Friday (16th May).

The precise trajectory of incoming projectiles shared by ISRO helped Indian Air Defence Systems to shoot down the incoming drones and missiles.

Notably, Pakistan sent hundreds of drones accompanied by its Chinese missiles towards India but Indian Air Defence systems, led by the indigenous Akashteer, were up to the task and shot them down. Now it has come to light that ISRO was working seamlessly with them to ensure Indian success.

The ISRO Chief reached Chennai on Thursday (15th May) for the launch of the PSLV C-61 rocket, ISRO’s 101st mission, which is set to take place on 18th May.

Two members of ISIS sleeper cell arrested from Mumbai Airport, were absconders in Pune IED case

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested two absconders, identified as members of a sleeper module of the banned ISIS terror organisation, in a 2023 case related to the fabrication and testing of IEDs in Pune, Maharashtra, as per the release.

The two men, identified as Abdullah Faiyaz Shaikh alia Diaperwala and Talha Khan, were intercepted by the Bureau of Immigration at the Mumbai International Airport T2 when they tried to return to India from Jakarta, Indonesia, where they had been hiding out. The NIA team then took them into custody and arrested them.

According to the release, both accused had been on the run for over two years and were declared proclaimed offenders. The NIA Special Court in Mumbai issued non-bailable warrants against them, and cash rewards of Rs 3 lakh each were also announced for information leading to their arrest.

The case RC-05/2023/NIA/MUM relates to a criminal conspiracy by these men, along with eight other ISIS Pune sleeper module members already arrested and in judicial custody. They had conspired to commit terrorist acts with the aim of disturbing India’s peace and communal harmony by waging a war against the Government of India in furtherance of the ISIS agenda to establish Islamic rule in the country through violence and terror.

These two men, already chargesheeted along with the other arrested accused, had been engaged in assembling IEDs from a house rented by Abdullah Faiyaz Shaikh in Kondhwa, Pune. During the 2022-2023 period, they had also organised and participated in a bomb making and training workshop, besides carrying out a controlled explosion to test an IED fabricated by them, at these premises.

NIA, which has been actively investigating the activities of ISIS in India in a bid to foil its violent and nefarious anti-India terrorist plans, had previously chargesheeted all the 10 accused in the case under various sections of UA (P) Act, Explosive Substances Act, Arms Act and IPC.

In addition to Abdullah Faiyaz Shaikh and Talha Khan, the others arrested in the case are Mohammed Imran Khan, Mohammed Yunus Saki, Abdul Kadir Pathan, Simab Nasiruddin Kazi, Zulfikar Ali Barodawala, Shamil Nachan, Akif Nachan, and Shahnawaz Alam.

Investigations in the case are continuing.

Hindu man denied water by Pakistanis in Dubai after suspension of Indus Water Treaty, brought back to India after his health worsens

On 15th May, Udham Singh Nagar Police, Uttarakhand, shared the story of a Hindu man named Vishal from Kichha, who faced mistreatment by Pakistani co-workers in Dubai following India’s decision to suspend the Indus Water Treaty in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terrorist attack. Pakistani co-workers denied him access to water as a form of revenge for India’s action against Pakistan.

According to media reports, Vishal had recently gone to Dubai via an agent named Sameer from Kashipur. He faced discrimination by Pakistani co-workers living with him. They told him that since India had stopped Pakistan’s water, he too would be denied water.

Because of the continuous harassment, Vishal’s health deteriorated and he began pleading with his family in India to help him return. His physical and mental condition worsened due to constant bullying and lack of access to basic necessities. However, despite several attempts, his family failed to bring him back home.

On 8th May, they approached the police at the Bansphodan outpost in Kashipur. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Manikant Mishra heard their plea and intervened. The police contacted the agent Sameer, who had helped Vishal to go to Dubai for work. The police gathered details of Vishal and others living with him. The fellow residents in Dubai helped Vishal get in touch with his family. Police further helped in obtaining his passport and arranged a return ticket for Vishal. He was brought back to India safely.

On 15th May, Vishal and his family visited the SSP office to express their gratitude. Vishal recounted how the Pakistani co-workers repeatedly told him that he did not deserve water because India had stopped Pakistan’s supply.

Pahalgam terrorist attack and its aftermath

On 22nd April 2025, terrorists linked to The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of Lashkar-e-Taiba, killed 26 innocent Hindus in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. In retaliation to Pahalgam terrorist attack, India suspended the Indus Waters Treaty, cutting off water flowing to Pakistan. Subsequently, a series of calibrated military strikes were launched. Initially, India struck several terror-linked base camps in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) and Pakistan.

However, when Pakistan retaliated using its armed forces, India struck its key airbases, spooking Pakistan to the point that it rushed to the US for intervention. On 12th May, the DGMOs of India and Pakistan spoke on the phone and decided to halt the military action. Though US President Donald Trump claimed credit for the ceasefire, India categorically denied the involvement of any third country and noted that Operation Sindoor, the codename given to the military strikes, is still on. Currently, the military action has been paused, maintaining a watchful stance on regional stability.

Hindu youth arrested on allegations of ‘insulting’ Prophet Muhammad in Bangladesh: Here is a list of Hindus implicated in ‘blasphemy’ cases in just one year

On Wednesday (14th May), a Hindu youth named Bikash Dhar Deepta was arrested on allegations of ‘insulting’ Prophet Muhammad. The incident occured in Moulvibazar Sadar upazila in Sylhet Division of Bangladesh.

According to reports, the victim is 23 years old and a student of Economics at the Shahjalal University of Science and Technology. He was produced before a local court on Friday (16th May).

A group of Muslims had alleged that Bikash Dhar Deepta made ‘objectional remarks’ about the last Prophet of Islam on Facebook on 11th May. Soon after, they hounded him and created chaos and unrest in Moulvibazar Sadar upazila.

The police booked the Hindu youth under the Cyber Security Act on the complaint of one Abdul Kadir Ratan.

In a statement, Moulvibazar Model Police Station OC Mohammed Mahbubur Rahman stated, “Based on the complaint, Bikash Dhar Deepta has been arrested and brought under the law. The police are investigating the incident seriously and legal action will be taken.”

A large contingent of police have been deployed in Moulvibazar Sadar upazila to prevent any law and order situation.

In November 2024, OpIndia reported how the High Court of Bangladesh recommended strengthening the Cyber Security Act to make ‘blasphemy’ punishable by life imprisonment and death penalty in the country.

Muslims attack Hindu minorities in Bangladesh under pretext of blasphemy

This is not the first time that such an incident has come to light.

In April this year, a frenzied Muslim mob attempted to lynch a 40-year-old Hindu man named Akhil Chandra Mondal after accusing him of ‘insulting’ Islam and mocking Prophet Muhammad. The incident occurred in the Tangail district of Bangladesh.

In February 2025, a Muslim mob comprising members of the radical ‘Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh’ and ‘Tawhidi Janata‘ hounded a Hindu man named Supta Saha Anik after accusing him of making ‘objectionable remarks’ about Islam.

The mob organised a protest rally in Kalmakanda upazila in the Netrakona district of Bangladesh after Jumma Namaz. They also demanded the immediate arrest of the Hindu man for supposedly insulting Prophet Muhammad and gave an ultimatum of 48 hours.

As expected, the violent Muslim mob raised genocidal slogans and vowed to make ‘ultimate sacrifie’ in order to avenge the supposed dishonour to Islam.

In January this year, a Hindu man named Pranta Talukder was abducted and tortured by a Muslim mob in the Chittagong city of Bangladesh. He was thrashed mercilessly and left severely injured over allegations of committing blasphemy.

In December 2024, Muslims carried out arson attack on 130 Hindu houses and 20 temples after accusing a young boy named Akash Das of making blasphemous comments on Facebook.

In October 2024, a frenzied Muslim mob laid siege to the Kadirdi Degree College in Boalmari in the Faridpur district of Bangladesh after accusing a Hindu boy named Hridoy Pal of ‘insulting’ Prophet Muhammad.

In September last year, a Hindu boy named Utsab Mandal was almost lynched by a Muslim mob on accusations of ‘blasphemy’ in the Sonadanga residential area of Khulna city.

Later that month, another frenzied Muslim mob laid siege to the Patiya police station in Chittagong district of Bangladesh, demanding that the cops hand over a Hindu boy accused of ‘insulting’ Prophet Muhammad.

The mob, comprising mostly local madrassa students, also attacked an army vehicle after seeing a young boy in civilian clothes and mistaking him for the Hindu victim. A 22-year-old Hindu youth named Partha Biswas Pintu was arrested on charges of committing ‘blasphemy’.

In May 2024, a Hindu student named Utsab Kumar Gian, studying at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University in Bangladesh, was thrashed by a Muslim mob on accusations of blasphemy.

Shashi Tharoor says he is honoured to lead India’s all-party delegation to present nation’s point of view, says he won’t be found wanting

Congress leader Shashi Tharoor on Saturday said that he is “honoured” by the invitation of the government to lead an all-party delegation, and added that when national interest is involved, he will “not be found wanting.”

“I am honoured by the invitation of the government of India to lead an all-party delegation to five key capitals, to present our nation’s point of view on recent events. When national interest is involved, and my services are required, I will not be found wanting. Jai Hind!” Shashi Tharoor posted on X.

A seven-member all-party delegation is set to visit key partner countries, including members of the UN Security Council, later this month in the context of Operation Sindoor and India’s continued fight against cross-border terrorism.

The following Members of Parliament will lead the seven delegations: Congress leader Shashi Tharoor, BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad, JDU leader Sanjay Kumar Jha, BJP leader Baijayant Panda, DMK leader Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, NCP (SP) leader Supriya Sule, and Shiv Sena leader Shrikant Eknath Shinde.

In a post on X, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said that India stands united, and seven all-party Delegations will soon visit key partner nations
“In moments that matter most, Bharat stands united. Seven All-Party Delegations will soon visit key partner nations, carrying our shared message of zero tolerance to terrorism. A powerful reflection of national unity above politics, beyond differences,” Rijiju posted on X.

The All-Party Delegations will project India’s national consensus and resolute approach to combating terrorism in all forms and manifestations. They would carry forth to the world the country’s strong message of zero tolerance against terrorism.

Members of Parliament from different parties, prominent political personalities, and distinguished diplomats will be part of each delegation.

The tour is expected to last 10 days, commencing on May 23. The parliamentarians’ groups are likely to visit several key world capitals, including the United States, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, South Africa, and Japan.

India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7 in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack in which 26 people were killed. India’s precision strikes in Pakistan and PoJK on May 7 killed over 100 terrorists.

Indian Air Strikes at 3 key Pakistani airbases spooked Pakistan and forced them to seek US help, know why these 3 bases are of great strategic importance for Pakistan

In the early hours of 10th May, the Indian Air Force (IAF) launched precision strikes on 11 airbases in Pakistan, including three critical Pakistani airbases, that are Jacobabad, Chaklala (Rawalpindi), and Sargodha under Operation Sindoor. The attack sent shockwaves within the military command of Pakistan.

Notably, these three airbases play a critical role in the operation, maintenance, and deployment of F-16 jets that have been supplied to Pakistan by the United States. Furthermore, these locations also house essential infrastructure, including training facilities and ammunition stockpiles.

The strike at Chaklala was of particular significance, as it not only serves as a transport hub but also hosts Pakistan’s air-refuelling assets, which help extend the range of fighter jets. The base is home to Pakistan’s main transport squadrons and vital for logistical and strategic airlift operations, housing aircraft like C-130 Hercules and IL-78 mid-air refuelers.

Major damage to these airbases can paralyze Pakistan Air Force, and make a number of their key assets useless. Chaklala is also in close proximity to the Strategic Plans Division of Pakistan, which oversees the country’s nuclear arsenal. The attack, thus, spooked Islamabad and prompted it to seek intervention from the US.

General Munir turns to Washington for help

Officials described the attack as the largest Indian military strike since 1971. Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir rushed to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, requesting American intervention to de-escalate the spiralling tensions with India.

At Pakistan’s request, Rubio urged both nations to initiate dialogue and spoke to the External Affairs Minister, Dr S. Jaishankar, on the matter. The US also offered to mediate and help reduce further conflict between India and its hostile neighbour.

Soon after, Pakistan’s Director General of Military Operations, Maj Gen Kashif Abdullah, called his Indian counterpart, Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai, and proposed a pause in hostilities. Indian officials saw this as a direct outcome of the successful neutralisation of Pakistan’s air defences and infrastructure.

Air superiority altered regional military balance

India targeted a total of 11 Pakistani airbases and two radar sites. Such a massive attack, in such a short span, created a “new normal” in military parity. Pakistan’s inability to respond stemmed from its collapsed air defence systems and outdated military preparedness compared to the advanced capabilities of the Indian Armed Forces.

India’s strikes also highlighted the widening technological gap between the two nations. Indian officials stated that Pakistan’s admission of inferiority led to its desperate appeal for help from the US. India’s military power projection on 10th May has redrawn strategic calculations in the Indian subcontinent.

Though US President Donald Trump has repeatedly claimed that his intervention led to the ceasefire between India and Pakistan, India has categorically denied the role of any third party in the decision to de-escalate. Trump also claimed he used trade as a “weapon” to push both countries to agree to ceasefire, which India denied as well. Furthermore, Indian Armed Forces and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh have clearly stated that the arrangement should not be seen as a ceasefire, but as an understanding. India will continue to assess how Pakistan behaves in the coming days and will act accordingly. Operation Sindoor, according to India, continues.

India pushes for UN action against TRF

While Pakistan is struggling to cover up the damage caused by India, New Delhi has intensified its diplomatic campaign to seek terror designation for The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of Lashkar-e-Taiba, at the UN Security Council. TRF had claimed responsibility for the 22nd April Pahalgam terrorist attack. A dossier implicating Pakistan’s role in the incident has been submitted, though Islamabad, with China’s backing, continues shielding TRF at the UNSC.

Uttar Pradesh: 90 Bangladeshi nationals held in Mathura, probe underway

0

In a significant operation, police in Uttar Pradesh’s Mathura district detained 90 Bangladeshi nationals from Khajpur village under the jurisdiction of Police Station Nauhjheel, said officials.

According to Shlok Kumar, the senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), the inspection was part of a drive to verify the identity and legality of labourers working in the rural part of the district.

“During the checking of kilns in Khajpur village by the team of PS Nauhjheel, about 90 people were found to be citizens of Bangladesh. All of them have been taken into custody and are being questioned. There are 35 men, 27 women and 28 children,” SSP Kumar told ANI on Friday.

He added, “They said they reached Mathura 3-4 months ago; before that, they were living in a nearby state. Detailed interrogation is being done. Other agencies have also been informed about this. They are also questioning them.”

Earlier, the Uttar Pradesh government had launched an intensified drive to track down and deport Bangladeshi and Rohingya infiltrators residing in the state.

The officials said that action had already been taken against Pakistani nationals residing illegally, and now a similar focus is being directed towards Bangladeshi and Rohingya migrants.

Authorities have observed many of these individuals live under changed identities in several state districts.

Instructions have been dispatched to District Magistrates, Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs), and Police Commissioners across all districts to expedite the identification process.

Simultaneously, operations are underway against unauthorised and illegal structures along the India-Nepal border.

According to a CMO statement, Uttar Pradesh had become the first state in the country where 100 per cent of Pakistani citizens had been sent back. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself oversees the return of Pakistani citizens to their country.

Notably, similar actions have been underway in several states nationwide in the past couple of days.

Archaeological Survey of India completes the restoration of 16th century stepwell Rajon ki Baoli in Delhi’s Mehrauli, monument now open for public

In a significant step toward protecting India’s cultural and environmental heritage, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), in collaboration with the World Monuments Fund India (WMFI) and the TCS Foundation, has successfully completed the conservation work of Rajon ki Baoli, a 16th- century stepwell, located in Mehrauli Archaeological Park, New Delhi.

According to an official release from the Ministry of Culture, this project was a part of WMFI’s Historic Water Systems of India initiative, funded by the TCS Foundation, aligning with the World Monuments Fund’s Climate Heritage Initiative.

It highlights the importance of restoring traditional water systems as sustainable solutions for water management in the face of climate change.

Under ASI’s supervision, the restoration work included cleaning, desilting, structural repair, and water quality improvements, using traditional materials and techniques.

The baoli was cleaned, desilted, and connected to proper drainage systems. Fish were introduced to help maintain water quality. Traditional materials like lime plaster and mortar were used to preserve the original character of the structure. The restoration was guided by historical records to retain the site’s Lodi-era authenticity.

In addition to the restoration, the ASI and its partners engaged local communities to promote awareness of the Baoli’s cultural and ecological value. Educational programs and participatory conservation activities were designed to ensure the site’s long-term care.

Built around 1506 during the Lodi dynasty, Rajon ki Baoli stands as a testament to Lodhi-era architecture and traditional water engineering. This four-tiered stepwell was thoughtfully designed not only to store water but also to offer shade and rest to travellers.

Its elegant arched colonnades, ornate stucco medallions with floral and geometric patterns, and finely carved stone elements reflect the artistic sophistication of the time. Spanning across the area of 1,610 square meters, this Baoli descends to a depth of 13.4 meters, with the main tank measuring 23 by 10 meters at its base.

Rajon ki Baoli is now open to the public.

Ex-FBI Director James Comey faces backlash over deleted Instagram post of seashells arranged as “8647”, interpreted as coded call to assassinate Trump: All you need to know

A massive controversy has erupted in the United States after former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director James Comey dropped an Instagram post fuelling rumours of a coded call to assassinate President Donald Trump. Dismissed by Trump during in his first term as President, Comey had shared a photo showing seashells arranged to form the number “8647.”

The number raised concerns, as “86” is often used as slang for getting rid of something or ejecting someone, especially in restaurant and bar settings when referring to menu items. The number “47” is believed to reference Trump, who is the 47th president of the United States.

“Cool shell formation on my beach walk,” Comey had captioned the post.

Officials from the Trump administration, along with President Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., viewed Comey’s post as a threat to the president’s life. Donald Trump Jr. also criticised Comey, accusing him of calling for the assassination of his father, President Trump. Donald Trump Jr in a post on X said, “Just James Comey casually calling for my dad to be murdered. This is who the Dem-Media worships. Demented.”

Elon Musk replied to Trump Junior, “Advocating murder of the President is a serious crime”.

Following Comey’s social media post, FBI Director Kash Patel said the bureau is coordinating with the US Secret Service. Patel confirmed that the FBI will fully support the Secret Service’s investigation into the post allegedly targeting President Trump

Sharing a post on X, Patel said, “We are aware of the recent social media post by former FBI Director James Comey, directed at President Trump. We are in communication with the Secret Service and Director Curran. Primary jurisdiction is with SS on these matters and we, the FBI, will provide all necessary support.”

US Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem condemned Comey, accusing him of inciting violence against President Trump. Noem said the Department of Homeland Security and the Secret Service are actively investigating the matter and will take appropriate action.

In a post on X, Noem said, “Disgraced former FBI Director James Comey just called for the assassination of @POTUS Trump. DHS and Secret Service is investigating this threat and will respond appropriately.”

Amidst the backlash, Comey posted a statement on Instagram claiming that he was unaware that the “8647” code could be linked to violence. The former FBI Director said he shared a photo of seashells arranged in numbers, assuming it was a political message.

“I posted earlier a picture of some shells I saw today on a beach walk, which I assumed were a political message. I didn’t realise some folks associate those numbers with violence. It never occurred to me but I oppose violence of any kind so I took the post down,” Comey said in a statement, posted on Instagram.

Speaking to Fox News, the Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard said that James Comey was fully aware of what he was posting. “As a former FBI Director and someone who spent most of his career prosecuting mobsters and gangsters, he knew exactly what he was doing and must be held accountable under the full force of the law,” Gabbard said.

It must also be noted that in American English, the number 86 refers to get to rid of someone or something. Its usage started in restaurants and bars, when it was used to indicate that an item of food or drink is no longer available, or that a customer should be rejected. After that, it started to be used to mean to ‘get rid of’ someone or something. In the Antifa (Anti-Fascist) lingo also, “86” is often referred to as eliminating or ejecting someone which may be interpreted as killing someone.

Interestingly, several American e-commerce platforms have started selling “8647” stickers and T-shirts, with product description “Anti-Trump, Anti-GOP, Pro-Democracy Sticker, Anti Fascist, FDT, Liberal Leftist Sticker, Anti Republican Sticker.”

Who is James Comey?

On the 4th of September 2013, James Comey was sworn in as the seventh Director of the FBI. He oversaw key investigations into Russia’s alleged interference in the 2016 US presidential election and Hillary Clinton’s email controversy, before he was fired by Trump in May 2017, shortly after Trump started his first administration. He served in the position for over three years. During his tenure, Comey was accused of Republicans and Democrats have heavily criticised the former FBI director for his investigations into Trump and Clinton and how he handled each in the public sphere. Neither investigation resulted in charges against the two politicians.

Assassination attempts against Donald Trump

What makes James Comey’s “8647” post even more alarming is that Donald Trump has in the recent past been at the target of many of his adversaries. On 13th  July 2024, the first assassination attempt on Donald Trump took place at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. One attendee at the rally died, and two were reportedly injured in the gunfire. Trump managed to escape the assassination attempt with a bullet injury to his right ear. Trump was saved by mere milimetres as he turned his head just before the gunshot was fired, moving his face slightly away from a direct hit. The assailant of the first attempt was identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks. He was killed by Secret Service agents during the attack.

The second assassination attempt against Trump took place in September 2024. On the 15th of September last year, gunshots were fired at Trump International Golf Club in Florida, when the former US President was holding an election rally. While Trump was reported safe, the FBI announced that its investigation revealed the gunfire appeared to be an attempted assassination on Trump. Later, the assailant was identified as a Democrat supporter Ryan Routh. Reportedly, he was seen aiming an AK-47 at Trump when Secret Service agents spotted him. The assailant was heavily armed at the time of the incident. Although 58-year-old Routh managed to escape, he was later caught by the security agencies.

Besides these unsuccessful assassination attempts, an Iranian plot to kill Trump was uncovered last year. In November 2024, the US Justice Department announced that it had foiled a plot by the Iranian Islamic regime to assassinate President-elect Donald Trump in the run-up to the election. The US authorities accused the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) of hiring a 51-year-old assassin named Farhad Shakeri to surveil and kill Donald Trump.

The repeated attempts to assassinate Trump, now James Comey’s “8647” post cannot be taken lightly given there has a significant surge anti-Trump sentiment in the recent past. Last month, the Network Contagion Research Institute (NCRI), a non-partisan organisation tracking online extremist hatred, reported that around 55 per cent of self-identified leftists believe that murdering President Donald Trump is at least somewhat justifiable. The report hinted at the rise and mainstreaming of “assassination culture” among the left-leaning lot. Among all respondents of the study, 38% found the assassination of Trump justifiable.

Pakistani actors keep batting even for Islamic terrorists, but Bollywood could not even stand with the Indian Army: What is the solution for these Bollywood degenerates

26 Hindus were killed in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on 22nd April 2025. Before killing them, their names were asked, their religions were confirmed, and even their clothes were removed to confirm their religion by Islamists. However, have you heard the voice of Bollywood’s ‘Takhti Gang’ against Islamic terror?

The horror of Pahalgam attacks was not limited to asking the victims about their religion. Men were shot dead in front of their families, it may never be possible for those women to recover from this shock. It is not possible for everyone to understand this feeling, but still, they can be comforted with sympathetic words, but most of the Bollywood celebrities did not feel the need for this.

Bollywood used to stand with India once upon a time

In the past, on such occasions, we always heard the voices of major Bollywood celebrities. During the Emergency, when attempts were made to suppress the voice of the media, Bollywood did not remain silent like it did during Operation Sindoor.

In 1948, when Pakistan attacked India in Kashmir, many stars like Mukesh, Raj Kapoor, IS Johar, Geeta Bali, Nargis, Kamini Kaushal, who were at the peak of their fame at that time, raised millions of rupees to strengthen India during the war.

After this, during the wars of 1962 and 1965, Kishore Kumar, Sunil Dutt, Nargis, Lata Mangeshkar, Waheeda Rehman etc. boosted the morale of the Indian soldiers and collected money for Armed Forces.

During the war of 1971, stars like Pran, Kishore Kumar, Shammi Kapoor, Lata Mangeshkar, Waheeda Rehman, Kalyanji-Anandji and Nargis formed the Bangladesh Relief Committee. During the Kargil war of 1999, there was such anger among the Bollywood stars that Nana Patekar even went to the front to support the soldiers.

Learn from the actors of the ‘Enemy Country’

Now, once again, we come back to our topic, Pahalgam terror attack and the silence of Bollywood.

The entire ‘Khan Army’, ‘Kapoor family’, ‘Bhatt camp’, and other big names kept a distance from this conflict and just kept on minding their own business. Let us remind you that these are the same big names who had taken photos with placards during the Kathua case. At that time, they were ashamed of being Hindus.

On the one hand, Bollywood actors did not get enough time to write even two lines for the country, on the other hand, when India took action in response, most of the big names of Pakistan were seen standing in favor of their country.

Many of those Pakistan actors have also worked in many films in Bollywood. Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane, who got fame through ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’, awarded India the title of ‘coward’. Many names like Fawad Khan, Hania Aamir, Mahira Khan are among the Pakistan actors who spoke in favour of their country during Operation Sindoor. The interesting thing is that they have a large number of fans in India as well.

Fake patriotism of Bollywood

Indian actors often wake up to patriotism when their film is about to release or they have some personal interest attached to it. The latest example is Aamir Khan, whose film ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ is about to release in the theatres. Aamir maintained silence during the entire duration from the Pahalgam attack to ‘Operation Sindoor’. However, just days before his film’s release, his team started singing praises of India.

Similarly, Tushar Kapoor, during the promotion of his project ‘Kampi’, avoided a question on the boycott of Turkey, a country that supports Pakistan. However, he did not forget to say that he is with the ‘country’.

Some people are in favour of the country without even saying a word

However, apart from these actors, there are some people in Bollywood who do not hesitate to support the country and they don’t even have to say anything. Mawra, who wrote against India, was removed by the makers from the film ‘Sanam Teri Kasam-2’. Mawra wasn’t even given a single rupee as payment.

Apart from this, Spotify app photoshopped out Fawad Khan from the poster of the song ‘Buddhu Sa Mann’ from the film ‘Kapoor and Sons’. Similarly, Pakistani actress Mahira Khan has been removed from the poster of her film ‘Raees’.

Conclusion

Actors in Bollywood have joined the trend to make fun of Hindus. Mocking their symbols, questioning their beliefs, has become their favorite hobby.

However, whenever there is talk of Muslims, the entire Bollywood starts behaving like a ‘victim’. Be it making movies or their personal lives, their hypocrisy comes out and they try every possible way to insult Hindus and show the pride of the Muslim community.

With time, common people have also started understanding that these names who get fame and love of fans think about only their own bank balance. Apart from this, whether it is the people around them, their society or the country, these people do not care.

Due to this, now with the help of social media, people have started waking these actors up from their sleep by hashtagging boycott calls and trolling them. But we have seen on many occasions that this awareness of common people lasts only for a few days. Therefore, there is no significant impact on their business.
