On October 3, around 3 AM, one Mohammed Shan alias Sunil Gopi killed his six-year-old nephew Abdhul Fathah Raihan alias Althaf at his in-laws’ house at Amakkandam in Idukki. Shan is a resident of Vandiperiyar.
Reports suggest that Shan and his wife had separated a while ago. Shahjahan believed that her sister-in-law and Althaf’s mother Safiya and 70-year-old mother-in-law Sainaba were behind the separation. On Sunday early morning, Shan broke into Safiya’s house from the back door while the family was sleeping and attacked everyone.
Safiya’s 6-year-old son Althaf was killed on the spot when Shan attacked the sleeping family with a hammer. Safiya has sustained severe injuries.
He then went to one Sainaba’s house nearby. He attacker Sainaba with the hammer and smashed her head. He dragged Safiya’s daughter, 15-year-old Ashni, who was sleeping with her grandmother, back to Safiya’s house. He kept her there for two hours and hit her. He then dragged her outside, and that was the time when Ashni managed to escape and hid in the bushes.
At around 6 AM, Ashni ran to the neighbour’s house and informed them about the incident. The police were immediately informed by the neighbours. After reaching the crime scene, Vellathooval police initiated search for Shan. During most of the day, his phone was switched off. For a brief time, he switched on his phone that tipped the police about his location.
Mohammad Shan was later arrested by the police. Safiya, Sainaba and Ashni are being treated for injuries.
Local journalist Raman Kashyap has been declared dead in the violence unleashed by ‘farmer protestors’ in Lakhimpur Kheri that broke out on Sunday.

As per some locals, the journalist’s family members had ascertained his identity when his body was taken for post mortem, however, an official confirmation on the same was awaited.
As many as nine people have been reported dead in the violence that erupted after a convoy of Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya was attacked by the protestors in the garb of farmers.
‘Won’t let compete 2022 elections over dead bodies’
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Minister Siddharth Nath Singh has informed that the matter is under investigation.

Singh also warned that the government will not allow anyone to manipulate public opinion. “There is no issue in presenting your opinion. But if they want to complete their journey till 2022 election over dead bodies, then it won’t happen,” the minister said warning the opposition.
Note: Earlier version of the report identified Raman Kashyap as being associated with ABP News. However, ABP News reached out to OpIndia and clarified that Raman was not associated with the media house.
On Sunday (October 3), former Parliamentarian Abhijit Mukherjee had narrated how his father Pranab Mukherjee was humiliated by the Congress party after his demise in August last year.
Abhijit Mukherjee, who had defected to the Trinamool Congress from the Congress in July, made the remarks during an interview with Rohan Dua of ‘The New Indian’ channel. At about 3 minutes into the conversation, he recounted the ill-treatment meted out to his father by the grand-old party. “After my father’s demise, 2-3 other stalwart leaders also died. There was an obituary reference during a meeting of the Congress Working Committee but no (specific) reference of my father,” he lamented.
“The person (Pranab Mukherjee) almost gave 50 years to that party. It was the bare minimum that was expected. This is one of the reasons why the people of Bengal feel that the Congress party did not treat someone properly,” Abhijit Mukherjee concluded. He also talked about the ‘feeling of unease’ within the party and what prompted him to call it quits.

Son of Pranab Mukherjee explains why he quit Congress
Abhijit Mukherjee remarked, “Out of 4 elections in last 7.5 years, I have consecutively won 3 elections. And I have lost the last election badly. After that, I remained only a member of the party. There were no more activities for me as I was not being included anywhere…” He further explained how Congress gave him a cold shoulder and almost deserted him. “Although the All India Congress Committee (AICC) had appointed me as one of the main persons to handle the Bengal elections, I was not called in any meeting. I had made several requests,” he added
At about 4 minutes and 40 seconds into the conversation, Abhijit Mukherjee had emphasised, “The exit from Congress is my own decision. I am not naming that man but one particular person humiliated me.” On being pressed whether the person was Congress scion Rahul Gandhi, Abhijit Mukherjee refused to name ‘names.’ When he was asked about the reconciliation process with the Gandhis, he lamented, “There was no call from them. I came here and at least wanted an audience. But somehow due to Covid-19 and many other reasons, I did not get any appointment.”
Abhijit Mukherjee defends his father’s visit to RSS headquarters, being conferred the Bharat Ratna
The son of erstwhile President, Abhijit Mukherjee, had made his debut in Indian politics in 2011 and went on to win the 2012 by-polls and 2014 LokSabha election. He defended the decision of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to award Pranab Mukherjee with the highest civilian award aka the Bharat Ratna. “A worthy person got a worthy award,” he told Rohan Dua at 10:57 minutes into the conversation.
On being asked about his father’s visit to the RSS headquarters, Abhijit Mukherjee pointed out, “RSS or Nagpur is not out of India. These people are not non-Indian. So, his visit did not matter. What mattered was his speech at the RSS headquarters. Did he speak anything against India or society? Rather he spoke about tolerance that people must be tolerant.”
On Monday (October 4), Congress scion Rahul Gandhi extended his support to ‘farmer protestors’ in Lakhimpur Kheri who had attacked BJP workers and caused the death of 8 people in a brutal carnage. In a tweet, he wrote, “Priyanka, I know you will not step back. They are scared by your display of courage. In this fight of ‘non-violence’, we will ensure that our food providers/farmers (Annadata) emerge as the winners.”

Violence in Lakhimpur Kheri
On October 3, eight people died after BJP workers were attacked by protesting ‘farmers’ at Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh. As per reports, a large group of alleged farmers had gathered in Lakhimpur Kheri to mark their protest against the three Agriculture laws enacted in September last year. Deputy CM was scheduled to visit Lakhimpur Kheri. The protesters went violent and pelted stones at BJP’s convey.
One of the cars allegedly hit the protestors, after which the protestors not only burnt two vehicles but also ambushed the people and reportedly beat one driver to death. Disturbing visuals had emerged of the incident that led to several speculations.CM Yogi promised to take strict action against whoever was behind the incident. A heavy police force was deployed in Lakhimpur Kheri to maintain law and order.
Priyanka Gandhi threatened to frame police officials in molestation, kidnapping cases
When Priyanka Gandhi tried to enter Lakhimpur Kheri on the night of October 3, Uttar Pradesh police detained the Congress leader to avert further deterioration of the law and order situation. Instead of complying with the police diktat, Priyanka Gandhi threatened to frame the cops in molestation and kidnapping cases. She said, “Are you forcing me to sit in this [pointing to the police vehicle]? Are you trying to kidnap me? This is your legal status? Are you getting it? Do not think that I do not understand.”
The Police officer said he would arrest her if she did not let them detain her. She said, “Arrest me. I will go happily with you.” It seems like she also alleged they were forcing her to sit in the vehicle. The Police officer said, “Who is forcing you? We are not.” She replied, “You are pushing me. If you keep doing so, it will attract cases of assault, attempt to kidnap, kidnap, attempt to molest, attempt to harm. Are you getting me? I understand everything. Try to touch me.”
She further said, “Go and bring a warrant from your officers and leaders. Are you getting me? And do not bring women officers in front. Learn to talk to the women. Are you getting it?” The Police officer tried to tell her that in the cases where women are involved, the female police officers are brought in to handle. She said, “There is law and order in this country. Maybe it is not there in your state. But it is there in the country.”
If our politicians and propagandists masquerading as ‘journalists’ and ‘fact-checkers’ are anything to go by, any incident can be turned into a political point, especially in an election-bound state. On Sunday, the so-called farmers at Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh reportedly attacked a car carrying BJP workers. As per Minister of State A K Mishra, the ‘farmers’ pelted stones and attacked the convoy. Because of which, the driver lost control and the car overturned killing two ‘protestors’. Angered, the ‘farmers’ then attacked the BJP workers killing at least four BJP workers.
In disturbing videos that have now gone viral, one can see the mob of ‘protesting farmers’ are attacking and beating up people with sticks. It is not yet clear whether the person beaten brutally has made it alive or succumbed to injuries.
However, the usual suspects, before details in the case emerged, had already started working on the toolkit that ‘BJP leader’s son deliberately ran over protesting farmers’.
Farmers have been killed in Lakhimpur Kheri today. It is alleged a central minister’s son rammed his car into protesting farmers. His father had vowed to teach a lesson to farmers earlier. This isn’t a ‘dispute’ Noida media. This is a murderous attack on our farmers.
‘Murderous attack’ on farmers who can be seen beating up BJP workers because BJP workers, ‘Sanghis’ are so dehumanised that they are dispensable for the ‘liberals’ and they ‘deserve it’ for not agreeing to their political ideology. Anyone who does not agree with the BJP by default becomes champion of justice and human rights. So what if they have a stone in one hand a sword to behead you in another.
The Wire journalists are also playing well by pulling the emotional strings.
किसानों की लाशों का ढेर देख कर भी जिसका दिल नहीं पसीज रहा ऐसी मीडिया से किसी भी प्रकार की उम्मीद बेईमानी है।
Zubair of Alt News perhaps thinks it is better to tweet unverified information that could instigate violence than wait for more information before putting it out, like he does. Recently, Mohammad Zubair posted a muted video of an elderly man from Ghaziabad claiming that he was beaten up by a Hindu mob and forced to chant Jai Shri Ram and also had his beard cut off. Subsequent investigation revealed it was not communal incident, elderly Muslim man was not asked to chant Jai Shri Ram and he was beaten up by his coreligionists over a ‘taveez’ (amulet) that had gone awry. Turns out the elderly man was an occultist too.
So, news agencies should immediately post unverified news or be accused of posting ‘government version’ if they wait for more details to emerge. Otherwise, our friends at Alt News will hound you and then mock, abuse you for not toeing their line.
Why should professional politicians be left behind?
Some mediapersons and ‘fact-checkers’ may work for the politicians and help them further their narrative by tweeting, writing propaganda pieces, sometimes even in international publications. This, while give them a misplaced sense of importance and entitlement that they are ‘speaking truth to power’, like one absolute psychotic woman who writes in Gulf-based publication thinks. However, it is more like working as unofficial mouthpiece of politicians who throw crumbs at them.
But then, there are actual politicians. They wait for incidents of violence, rapes to take place so that they can rush to spot to offer condolences and solidarity. If the incident takes place in a poll-bound state where they are in opposition, even better. And if there are caste or religious undertones, then it is a full-fledged lottery for politicians. Let me explain how:
Soon after the protesting ‘farmers’ attacked BJP workers, news emerged on social media that ‘farmers were run over deliberately by son of Union Minister and BJP leader’. This was before the videos emerged where the said ‘farmers’ are beating up the BJP workers who are so dehumanised by propagandists and Islamists who openly call for their killing for ‘being fascist’. Ironically, they are doing exactly what they are accusing BJP/’Sanghis’ of doing: dehumanising someone they don’t agree with.
Anyway, so ‘farmers killed deliberately by BJP leader’s son’ is a great premise for opportunists in a state where elections are due in few months.
Priyanka Gandhi, Congress General Secretary immediately decided to go to Lakhimpur Kheri. Fans of the Nehru-Gandhi family immediately heaped praises on her and like clockwork compared her to her grandmother, Indira Gandhi.
So @priyankagandhi takes centrestage in Lakhimpur Kheri protests by being on the ground through the night. Her Belchi moment? (I hope a younger India on twitter doesn’t ask what is Belchi now?) https://t.co/j71bO1OARW#lakhimpurkheri
Since younger India is unaware of a lot of things done by The Family, here’s what ‘Belchi incident’ is. Indira Gandhi’s political stunt right after the Emergency was lifted was her visit to Patna-Nalanda border in Bihar in 1977. In an age-old caste war, 14 dalits were murdered there. Indira, who was facing a lot of public anger over Emergency, took no time to grab this ‘opportunity’. She rushed to Belchi riding an elephant. Friendly media even at that time splashed pictures of Indira Gandhi and as a result, in the next elections Indira regained power handsomely.
So, Priyanka, other than ‘having her grandmother’s nose’ also has her political acumen and hence, whenever some incident that can be exploited takes place in India, she rushes and friendly media then splashes her pictures, juxtaposing them with that of her grandmother in much adulation.
2019 Belchi moment of Priyanka
But just like how every few months Rahul Gandhi reinvents himself and comes of age to be the new leader, Priyanka Gandhi, too, has her ‘Belchi moment’ every few months now.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel was recently named the senior observer for Uttar Pradesh elections by Congress. Which is why, even when his own government is on the verge of collapsing due to internal fighting between various Congress leaders in his state, Baghel rushes to Uttar Pradesh to take stock of situation. This is classic case of aag lage basti mein, main apni masti mein (let the village burn while I party).

Here’s more. From who’s who to who even is he/she – everyone has only Lakhimpur Kheri as destination for today.
Khan Market gang who likes to mock ‘Noida media’ while wining and dining in Delhi’s (and sometimes Paris) elite restaurants and cafes, was also upset at security placed outside former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav’s house.
There is more security outside Akhilesh Yadav’s residence than at the international border today. This is a government that is focused on arresting and stopping opposition leaders instead of stopping it’s own minister and his son from behaving like goons… pic.twitter.com/oXqZh0QcR9
Yadav, too, wants to go to Lakhimpur Kheri to win some political brownie points ahead of elections. And of course, like five years back, friendly media is being helpful.
Lakhimpur Kheri: Everything can be political if right opportunity arises
One would have to be really naive to believe that these vultures masquerading as politicians and political mouthpieces have a common man’s welfare in the heart of their heart. Here is a small example. In September this year, social media was filled with hashtags where some ‘liberals’ were demanding justice for one Rabiya Saifi, a Delhi Civil Defence worker, who was allegedly raped and murdered. One web portal called ‘MuslimMirror’ claimed that she was ‘gang raped’ and her breasts cut off, neck was slit and private parts were mutilated.
Pakistani journalists also joined in to paint India as intolerant country where Muslims are victimised only for their religion. Columnist with Shekhar Gupta’s ThePrint also chimed in. Except, the man who allegedly killed Rabiya was one Nizamuddin who claimed to have married the woman. Nizamuddin, while surrendering had said he was married to Rabiya. Both the families seemed unaware about the relationship. However, Nizamuddin was suspecting Rabiya of having an affair with her senior Ravindra Mehra and on doubting her character, he killed her.
Soon after, the calls for justice dissipated. Now, Rabiya no longer needed justice because the prime accused was Nizamuddin. This just shows that these ‘liberals’ and justice warriors do not care about the crime or the victim, but about the religion and caste of victim. If the equation does not play up, they lose interest.
In Lakhimpur Kheri incident, since at least 4 BJP workers were also killed in the violence which was sparked after the convoy was attacked by protesting ‘farmers’, it might be just a matter of time before the politicians return back to the comfort of their air conditioned homes. Or take off to Shimla for another vacation.
On October 2, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) recovered drugs from Aryan Khan, son of actor Shahrukh Khan. A report by India Today says that the drugs were hidden in the lens case owned by Khan. The other accused arrested in possession of drugs had them hidden in medicine boxes, shoes and between sanitary pads.
According to a report published in India Today, NCB sources stated that on October 3, Aryan Khan was booked under four sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS). He was presented in front of the court later on Sunday. The Mumbai court had sent him in police custody for a day along with two others.
Other accused arrested in the case are Arbaz Seth Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha. NCB had also arrested 5 others namely, Nupur Satija, Ishmeet Singh Chadha, Mohak Jaiswal, Gomit Chopra & Vikrant Chhokar. These 5 will be presented in court today, on 4 October.

While Aryan and two others were presented in the court on Sunday and sent to custody, the other five detained on that day would be presented in court after their medical examinations. Reports further suggest that NCB would seek remand for the five accused as well as it might lead to the drug peddlers. NCB sources said that the agency would require face-to-face interrogation to get information about who supplied them with the drugs.
NCB not to seek further custody of Aryan Khan
Later yesterday, it was reported that the NCB will not seek further custody of Aryan Khan. He will be sent to judicial custody and his lawyer will proceed for bail.
Contradictory reports suggest no drugs were found on Aryan
While the India Today report claimed drugs were found in possession of Aryan, other reports contradicted it and claimed that the agency said they did not find any drugs on Aryan. According to a report in Mid-Day, NCB officers said they had raided two rooms where the arrested accused were lodged in. They allegedly did not find any drugs on Aryan, but Arbaaz, one of the accused, had drugs (charas) hidden inside his shoes.
In a voluntary statement, Aryan told the agency that he and Arbaaz were to consume the drugs. Mid-Day quoted an officer saying, “Both were detained and taken to the NCB office. We also found incriminating WhatsApp chats on their phones, which shows their links with peddlers. We are investigating the same.”
Mid-Day further reported that NCB had told the court that Aryan was booked only on consumption charges that may attract up to one year in prison and up to Rs. 20,000/- as fine. Advocate Satish Maneshinde who presented Aryan, said to the court, “Offences are bailable… Aryan was invited by the organisers of the party as a special invitee. He just boarded the cruise and was seen with some friends and later taken into custody by the NCB. They also took his phone.”
Cordelia Cruises denied any involvement in the rave party
Cordelia Cruises issued a statement in which they denied any involvement in the case. They said, “In no way, directly or indirectly, we are connected to this incident. Cordelia Cruises had chartered its ship for a private event to a Delhi-based event management company. We condemn all acts such as these and will strictly refrain from letting our ship out for similar events in the future. Cordelia Cruises is extending our full support and cooperating with the authorities.”
A brief about the raid on rave party on cruise
On October 2, NCB raided a rave party that was taking place on a cruise ship. NCB said in a statement that they received a tip about the party around two weeks ago. Initially, no names of the detained persons were revealed. Later, NCB informed in a statement that they had detained and then arrested Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan on the charges of drug possession. Several raids were conducted across Mumbai in connection to the case.
Rajasthan Police Service (RPS) officer Heeralal Saini (deputy superintendent of police) and a woman constable have been terminated from service by the Rajasthan state government after a video of them indulging in sexual activities in the presence of a minor went viral.
Saini who was posted at the Circle Office (Beawar) in Ajmer and the woman constable posted in Jaipur had shot obscene video clips of them in a resort in Pushkar town of Ajmer district on July 10. The two were seen in a compromising position in the swimming pool in presence of the constable’s six-year-old son.
Taking suo moto cognizance of the video being circulated on social media, the police had arrested Saini on September 09 while the lady constable was arrested on September 12.
Video uploaded as WhatsApp status
As per reports, the woman constable was sorting videos on her mobile phone when she accidentally uploaded the lewd video as her WhatsApp status. She was alerted about the video by her brother and sister-in-law.
However, multiple people had downloaded the video by then which went viral on social media.
More than 5500 calls made
After Saini and the woman constable’s video surfaced on social media, several other such videos were recovered from their mobile phones in a search conducted by the police.
Reportedly, the two used to talk on the phone regularly. As per their call records, more than 5,500 calls were made in a span of just one year.
Husband files case
The woman constable’s husband had forwarded a complaint to the Superintendent of Police’s (SP) office seeking FIR against his wife and the officer under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
His complaint was forwarded to the SHO of Chitawa police station on August 10, however, the case was not registered.
The man has also sought a divorce.
Terminated from service
The Special Operations Group (SOG) was then handed over the inquiry. A case was with the cybercrime station of SOG under the POCSO Act and the two were taken into custody.
Both the suspended officers have been terminated from service. Director-General of Police M L Lather confirming the same had said, “The termination orders will be served to them today (October 02).”
On the night of October 3, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi tried to enter Lakhimpur Kheri, where the Police detained her. Earlier that day, eight people, including three BJP workers, had died during a clash with protesting farmers. While UP Police was trying to detain the Congress leader, she threatened the officers that she would file cases of molestation and kidnapping against them.
Video of Gandhi went viral on social media platforms where she was seen threatening the Police.
We are not.”
She replied, “You are pushing me.
Are you getting it?” The Police officer tried to tell her that in the cases where women are involved, the female police officers handle the case. She said, “There is law and order in this country. Maybe it is not there in your state. But it is there in the country.”
Another Police officer who looked senior tried to pacify the situation. However, Priyanka Gandhi continued threatening the police officials, “Don’t say please. You have pushed me and brought me here. You have forcefully brought me here. You do not have a right. Are you getting me? You have no right.”
What happened in Lakhimpur Kheri?
Disturbing visuals had emerged of the incident that led to several speculations.
CM Yogi promised to take strict action against whoever was behind the incident. Heavy police force has been deployed in Lakhimpur Kheri to maintain law and order.
Soon after being chosen as the new Chief Minister of Punjab, Charanjit Singh Channi has started allowing his son to attend official meetings, raising eyebrows. The CM allowed his son to sit in the room where an official meeting was being held in the presence of the DGP and other senior officials of Punjab on Thursday. This triggered a controversy in Punjab with pictures from the meeting showing Rhythmjit Singh, Charanjit Singh’s son, in the meeting held at the DGP office were circulated on social media.
According to experts, the presence of any member of the family of CM in an official meeting violates the Rules of Business of the state government. According to sources, it may also violate the Official Secrets Act supposed to protect the sensitive issues discussed during such meetings. Experts also said, “This is an unusual practice and not expected from a person holding such a high position. The bureaucrats posted to the CMO should have informed him about this. The presence of an unauthorised or a private person at such meetings is against the interest of the state. It is also against the oath taken by the CM.”
BJP Punjab President Ashwani Sharma called the incident unprecedented and unethical. He said “It is unfortunate that senior bureaucrats, well aware of rules and norms, allowed this error to happen,”
It is important to note that within 4 days of being the new Punjab Chief minister, Charanjit Singh Channi was summoned to Delhi two times to form a “consensus” cabinet, indicating that the Congress high command does not want to delegate powers to its Punjab unit or allow local leadership to take control.
Also, upon the formation of the new Punjab cabinet under Charanjit Singh Channi, Congress leader in charge of Punjab affairs Harish Rawat said, “Those who could not be made ministers today will be accommodated in government setup and organisation. This exercise has been done to bring in young faces and strike a social and regional balance.”
Eight people have died after BJP workers were attacked by protesting ‘farmers’ at Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has called the incident unfortunate and said that the government is committed to bring to justice those responsible for the same. “Those responsible for the same will be dealt with strictly,” a statement by UP govt said. Further, the government has appealed to people to stay at home and not to get influenced by other people and maintain peace.
Disturbing visuals have emerged from Lakhimpur Kheri where some people, identified as ‘protesting farmers’, could be seen beating up people. ‘Farmers’ have claimed the incident took place after MoS A K Mishra’s son ‘deliberately’ ran the car over the ‘protesting farmers’.
In a slightly longer video, one can hear the ‘protesting farmers’ shouting and calling for violence against those believed to be BJP workers and asking bystanders to not record the video.
In another video, one can see the ‘farmer’ protestors urging the other protesting ‘farmers’ to overturn the car carrying BJP workers while hurling the choicest abuses.
Another video has emerged where one person, likely a BJP worker from the car that was overturned by ‘farmers’, can be seen beaten up by the mob. After seemingly beaten up the mob he could be heard admitting that he was sent by MoS Mishra to observe the situation, but the mob continues to get him to ‘confess’ he was sent to ‘run over the farmers’. However, in the above video, he pleads that he be spared and does not say what the mob wanted him to say. It is not yet clear whether the man being beaten up to death in the above viral video is this same man.
Due to this, our car got imbalanced & 2 people died coming under it. After this, our 3 workers were killed & cars were set on fire: MoS Home Ajay Mishra Teni tells ANI in a phone call
Speaking to news agency ANI, MoS A K Mishra said that stones were pelted on the vehicles of BJP workers by protesting ‘farmers’ after which the car overturned as the driver was hit by a stone. Two people came under the car and they died. Subsequently, the mob lynched the BJP workers. Three BJP workers were killed and their car was set on fire.
It was not the workers’ fault. They had come to receive the guest. They started pelting stones at the car. As soon as the cars stopped they started hitting everyone: MoS Home Ajay Mishra Teni tells ANI in a phone call
He said that his son, who is being accused of killing the ‘protesting farmers’ was not even present on the spot. He said that the convoy was attacked with sticks and swords. “If my son would have been there he would not have come out alive. They have killed people, damaged and set cars on fire,” he said. He further added that the BJP workers had come to receive guests when they were attacked with stones by the agitators.
As per media reports, Samyukta Kisan Morcha has claimed that one of the three farmers was allegedly shot dead by MoS Ajay Mishra Teni’s son, Ashish (Monu) Mishra while others were ‘run over’ by vehicles. As per media reports, two people were brought dead to the hospital while one person, identified as Tajinder Singh had sustained injuries. He is currently seriously injured.
Following the incident, the Uttar Pradesh government has sprung into action. ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar has reached Lakhimpur Kheri to take stock of the situation.
