Tulsi Gabbard calls out Islamist violence, receives hate from progressives and gets branded ‘Hindutva fascist’

Tulsi Gabbard in a recent tweet spoke out against Islamist violence, which received flak and hate from American progressives online. Tulsi Gabbard, a former US Congresswoman, criticized the Islamist ideology for having inspired the terrorist attacks and declaration of war against America after the 9/11 attack.

She also said that it is the Islamist ideology which fueled terrorist attacks around the world and is the foundation for the so-called ‘Islamic’ countries like Pakistan, Turkey, Iran, Saudi Arabia and their discriminatory policies against the Christians, Hindus, Buddhists and the Atheists.

Gabbard’s tweet did not go down well with the progressives in the United States of America.

Comedian Francesca Fiorentini suggested that people were wrong when they thought Tulsi Gabbard was a progressive. David Weissman, a Liberal Democrat, also commented that it was not Islamic Ideology but extremism which should be made responsible for the terrorist attacks and that Gabbard owe an apology to the Muslim community for her hate.

Sana Saeed, host at Al Jazeera network, accused her of endorsing ‘Hindutva fascism’.

She was also subjected abuse online.

Tulsi Gabbard is known for speaking against Islamic Terrorism. Earlier this year, Tulsi Gabbard had spoken in favor of the persecuted Hindu Bengalis in Bangladesh. Gabbard criticized and condemned the Bengali Hindu genocide by the Pakistan Army and called upon the world to act against Islamist extremism. She also mentioned the attacks on Hindu Temples in Bangladesh during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the country.

Along expected lines, the bizarre comment was mocked widely by people on social media. One user remarked that the Madhya Pradesh unit of the Congress party had set the world record for the lowest IQ.

Another user said that the combined IQ of the Congress party is lower than the IQ of an average person.

Some came to the conclusion that the Twitter handle is run by Rahul Gandhi himself.

The ridiculous tweet by an official handle of the Congress party inspired widespread mockery in general.

Bhupendra Patel will be the new CM of Gujarat. The announcement was made after a meeting of the BJP Legislative Party in Gandhinagar.

Bhupendra Patel is an elected representative from the Ghatlodiya assembly constituency in Gujarat. He had won by a margin of over 1,17,000 votes against Shashikant Patel from the Congress party. The seat was held by UP Governor and former Gujarat CM Anandiben Patel.

Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, on Sunday lashed out at the Samajwadi Party and accused them of harbouring a ‘Talibani mindset’. He made the comment while appealing to citizens to not tolerate such a mentality.

Yogi Adityanath said, “People of the state should not tolerate the pro-Taliban casteist-dynastic mentality that shoots at Ram Bhakts.” “Remember, wherever a scorpion is, it will bite,” he added.

The UP Chief Minister was referring to the incident in 1990 when the UP Police under Mulayam Singh Yadav opened fire at Karsevaks. Innumerable devotees of Shri Ram died as a consequence. The tragedy remains one of the darkest days in the history of independent India.

Only recently, Samajwadi Party MP Shafiqur Rehman was booked by the UP Police for openly supporting the Taliban. “When India was under British rule, our country fought for freedom. Now Taliban wants to free their country and run it,” Rehman had said.

Rehman proceeded to add, “Taliban is a force that did not allow even strong countries like Russia and America to settle in their country”.

The comments by the Samajwadi Party MP and that by Yogi Adityanath come at a time when the Taliban has taken over Afghanistan. They also come just months ahead of the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, which the BJP will fight with the incumbent Chief Minister as the party’s face.

A Malayalam TV actress and social media influencer Nimisha Bijo and her friend Unni were arrested on September 10 by Pathanamthitta district police in Kerala for violating the sanctity of the temple and violating the tradition by stepping into ’Palliyodam’ (a ceremonial snake boat) at Aranmula temple wearing footwear. These boats are kept in special sheds named Palliyoda Pura where entry of outsiders is restricted.

However, Nimisha Bijo and Unni were released from the police station after furnishing personal bonds. The actress who is a native of Chalakudy of Thrissur pleaded that she was not aware of the custom of the boat. They were arrested after an FIR was lodged against them by the Puthukulangara Palliyoda Seva Samithi at Thiruvalla police under Section 153 (offence committed at the place of worship) of the Indian Penal Code for defiling the sanctity of the boat. The Samithi owns the Palliyodam.

In the complaint, the Samithi said that one can enter the Palliyodam only after undertaking certain penance. The actress stepped in the boat while wearing boots which has hurt the sentiment of devotees, the complaint said. The Samiti further explained that as per the rule, a particular dress is assigned, a white towel, for those who step inside the boat. Shirt, pants or any other clothing is not allowed in a Palliyodam. Apparently, women are not allowed to enter Palliyodams.

The images soon became viral after she shared these pictures on her Instagram page. She was severely criticized by netizens for showing disrespect to the religion and the tradition. She claimed that she even got a number of threat calls. However, in the face of criticism, she deleted the pictures but she had already landed in the problem.

A Palliyodam is used at Aranmula temple for a famous water procession in river Pamba. As per the legends, these boats with a snake prow were designed by Lord Krishna. These were made to look like Lord Vishnu resting on serpents. These boats are made from the wood of a kind of jackfruit tree as per the methods instructed in the Vedic scriptures. There are 52 such boats that take part in the procession as part of the temple festival at Aranmula.

After storming the Panjshir valley, the Taliban is reportedly executing the family members of the Resistance leaders and other civilians in the province which was under the control of resistance forces till last week. While the resistance fighters have taken shelter in mountains after the Taliban entered the region, the Talibs are entering villages and torturing and killing whoever they find there.

Mojir Haqjo, the nephew of Late Marshall Fahim and brother-in-law of Fahim’s son Adib, was reportedly executed by the Taliban. Marshall Fahim was the military commander who had captured Kabul in the Taliban’s fall of 2001, and had served as the vice president of the country.

Reportedly, Mojir Haqjo was among many men and women who were summarily executed by the Taliban.

Taliban leaders are specifically targeting and eliminating the family members of the Northern Alliance leaders in the Panjshir valley. Sources told OpIndia that several family members of the Resistance leaders were killed by the Taliban leaders in their recent attack on the Panjshir Province. Sources tell OpIndia that the family members were travelling to Kabul when they were killed.

The National Resistance Front of Afghanistan issued a statement condemning the massacre of civilians by the Taliban in Panjshir.

There were several messages on social media informing that the Taliban was firing on civilians including children. There are reports that the bodies of the victims are being dumped in rivers, and the Talibs were also moving a large number of people to unknown places from Panjshir. Social media users are informing about Panjshir men and young boys in the villages situated alongside the main road being rounded up and taken away at gunpoint in trucks by the Taliban.

There are several rumours of mass killings, with heads being placed on poles, reports of people being run over by tanks and their bodies thrown in the river.

These killings are supposedly being carried out as a part of the Taliban’s aggression towards the capture of the Panjshir Valley and complete the total occupation of Afghanistan. Rohullah Saleh, brother of Resistance leader Amrullah Saleh was also killed recently by the Jihadist group. Tomb of Ahmad Shah Massoud, the Lion of Panjshir and an Afghan Hero, was also destroyed at the time when the Jihadist forces claimed total control of the Panjshir valley and Ahmad Massoud, the son of Ahmad Shah Massoud confirmed that Panjshir valley had fallen.

After the Taliban took control of Kabul , the Resistance leaders reportedly escaped to the Panjshir Province from where they opposed the Taliban leaders.

How Dismantling Global Hindutva conference ended up showing that Hindu nationalists are the best people of all

It finally happened. On the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, liberals worldwide have uncovered the real axis of evil. And no, it’s not the Taliban. It happens to be a nexus between Hindu nationalism and “elite queer trans people.”

That’s the official twitter handle of the “Dismantling Global Hindutva” conference, posting snippets from the speakers at this “academic” event.

I always wondered about the word “global” in the name “Dismantling Global Hindutva.” Hindus are a micro-minority in most countries of this world. Then how exactly could anyone see Hindutva as a global threat? Now we know. It’s because Hindu nationalists have stitched up an alliance (in their words, a “nexus”) with queer trans elites!

Well, at least they cannot say that Hindu nationalists are transphobic or something like that.

It is tempting to dismiss the entire DGH conference, along with its made up academic speakers, as a joke. But if you actually listen to what they are saying, it is a surprisingly candid confession about the merits of Hindu nationalism. Most of the time, they smear Hindu nationalists as primitive and superstitious (cow piss drinkers), living over a thousand years in the past. In other words, the Hindu equivalent of the Taliban.

But the liberals know perfectly well that this is not true. And so, when they are among their own, they know it makes no sense to have illusions about their enemy. As you will see, they admit rather frankly that Hindu nationalists are open minded, sophisticated in their thoughts, and have a modern and scientific outlook.

Let us break down their confessions one by one.

(1) Hindu nationalists are open and accepting towards the LGBTQ community

LGBTQ community allies with BJP

There you have it, in their own words. The admission that Hindutva is able to reach out to marginalized communities and win their support. These people cannot stand that.

Right now, the West is tearing itself apart over issues such as “transphobia.” What did Indian Hindus do? Instead of fighting pointless culture wars, we Indian Hindus dug into the history of their own civilization. There, we found exactly nothing that calls for discrimination or prejudice against the LGBTQ community. There is no god who said that “a man who lies with a man” shall go to hell!

Liberals are jealous of this. In fact, the saffron clad Yogi Adityanath has dedicated an entire metro station in Noida to the trans community. How will the liberals accuse him of prejudice?

In contrast, the Church and the All India Muslim Personal Law Board are still twisting themselves in knots over the issue of LGBTQ rights, making their “liberal” cheerleaders look ridiculous. When the time came for the Supreme Court to strike down Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code, representatives of Abrahamic religions were left arguing in favor of apartheid against LGBTQ individuals. The Hindus had no interest. The liberals lost a chance to smear them.

(2) Hindu nationalism has provided mobility to women

Women have gained mobility and liberals are not happy! In fact, they are quite alarmed. Because they have discovered that Hindutva women have “captured formal space in education.” And they have done it through “caste based networks.” Further, these women are creating narratives, officiating in seminars and conferences, expressing themselves on social media and so on.

In other words, when you come across a woman who is bold, outspoken or successful, you should doubt her merit. That’s liberalism in 2021.

Well, at least they admitted that women are playing a key role in the Hindu nationalist movement.

(3) Hindu nationalists have managed to overcome caste barriers

The DGH conference had all the usual diatribes against “Brahmanism” (whatever that means), but here is something that slipped out.

Like I said, when liberals are among their own, it makes no sense to have illusions about their enemy. Do you know that BJP/NDA got 50% of the vote in Uttar Pradesh in 2019? As well as in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Delhi, Karnataka, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and Maharashtra! It would be madness for liberals to pretend that all of these votes came from Hindi speaking upper caste Hindu males.

And hence, the admission. According to them, the middle castes have become “partners” of Hindutva. It is a significant climbdown, but they are still some distance from the truth. Somebody should tell these people that it’s not just middle castes, but Dalits and Adivasis have become integral to Hindutva as well.

(4) Hindu nationalists have a scientific mindset

Here is their best tweet of all, which reads almost like an endorsement of Hindu nationalism.

You have to burst out laughing here. So the Hindu nationalists embrace science. They mix eastern thought with western thought, as well as modernity with orthodoxy. Excuse me, but what exactly is objectionable here?

You will notice a common thread in all these confessions. They admit that Hindu nationalists have all these wonderful qualities and then insist that these wonderful qualities are part of some terrible conspiracy. In fact, having all these wonderful qualities is in itself proof of that conspiracy. In other words, by rejecting homophobia, transphobia, sexism and casteism, Hindu nationalists have proved that they are the worst of all.

This is what happens when liberals spend too much time being cheerleaders for the Taliban. When they come across those who are genuinely open minded, they think it must be a big conspiracy.

At this point, I would have said “f*ck you” to the liberals, but then I found this tweet.

Pakistani journalist accuses Pakistani company of selling US military vests left in Afghanistan, the company says it makes them in Pakistan

After the fleeing Afghan forces and the US military had left behind high-grade military weapons and gear in Afghanistan after the Taliban captured the country, allegations have now surfaced on social media that Pakistani traders are selling them in the market. A Pakistani journalist claimed that military vests advertised by Pakistan based company were actually American military vests left behind in Afghanistan, but the company has denied the allegations and have claimed that they manufacture the products in Pakistan itself.

On Sunday (September 12), Pakistani journalist Hamza Azhar Salam claimed that Afghan and Pakistani traders have been making loads of money by selling the military gear abandoned by the American troops. “Getting ads for American military vests on Instagram for sale in PKR. Seems like they left a lot of stuff which now has to be sold,” Salam said. He added, “Afghan and Pakistani traders dealing in such items are making a killing according to many news reports and sources.”

Hamza Azhar Salam shared three screenshots of an Instagram advertisement, run by a page titled Specter Defense (@specter.defense). The page, which identifies itself as an outdoor and sporting goods company, boasts 1.4K followers on the social media site. As per its Instagram account, Specter Defense has been selling ‘Breached Vest’ for PKR 7000, Buddy Coyote USA version for PKR 18000 and Military Model 1 vest (Local Version) for PKR 9000. According to WHOIS, the domain is registered in the name of one Khadija Batool in Pakistan.

Specter Defense rejects claims, says their products are made in Pakistan

However, the company has denied the claims that they are selling items left behind by American forces in Afghanistan and claims that they manufacture the gear seen in the ads. In an email response, Specter Defense claimed that the products sold by the company are made in Pakistan. It claimed, “We understand this stuff is new for most Pakistanis and keeping in view the current situation across the border a common man or a journalist who has no background knowledge would straight come to the point of conclusion without any in-depth analyses or confirmation. We are proudly producing all our gear in Pakistan.”

Furthermore, it claimed, “Our international presence started in Feb 2020 with exports to the US, France, Canada, and some other countries of Europe and we recently introduced our products to the local community. Keep that in mind these products are not for general wear or in some cases protection but more for training at range and sports. We are offering these products to LEAs and security forces as well.”

It is also important to note that the Instagram account of Specter Defense has been posting the images of the vests since May this year, months before US forces had left Afghanistan. Its Facebook account also had posted images of similar items much earlier. The company also have a website showcasing its products. Therefore, it can be concluded that the company actually manufactures the items it is selling, and they are not the items left by US forces in Afghanistan, as claimed by the Pakistani journalist.

It is also notable that Afghanistan is ruled by the Taliban now, which has captured all the military and other items left behind by Afghan forces, many of which were supplied by Americans. Therefore it is unlikely that the Taliban will allow the sale of the items in the open market. Even though the Taliban has deep relations with Pakitan, the possibility of a small Pakistani accessing American gear in Afghanistan is very slim.

US left behind weapons, ammunition; Pakistan vowed to reorganise Taliban military

After the capture of Afghanistan, a large number of biometric devices, along with weapons, vehicles, and ammunition left behind by American and fleeing Afghan forces were captured by the Taliban. With the US-built military devices, the Taliban now potentially has the access to the biometric database of Afghans. Some devices that stored local copies for such databases became easily accessible to the new Taliban regime.

Earlier, citing a top-level Pakistan official, Reuters reported that the Pakistanis had decided to send security and intelligence officials, including the head of the powerful Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agency, to Afghanistan to help the Taliban reorganise their military. Pakistan intended to help the radical Islamic outfit to re-organise its army and also provide necessary training to the Taliban, largely made up of Pashtun fighters trained in Pakistan madrasas.

The BJP has announced the new Chief Minister of Gujarat following the resignation of Vijay Rupani on Saturday. Bhupendra Patel will be the new CM of Gujarat. The announcement was made after a meeting of the BJP Legislative Party in Gandhinagar.

Bhupendra Patel is an elected representative from the Ghatlodiya assembly constituency in Gujarat. He had won by a margin of over 1,17,000 votes against Shashikant Patel from the Congress party. The seat was held by UP Governor and former Gujarat CM Anandiben Patel.

Patel has been an AUDA (Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority) Chairman in the past and also been chairman of Standing Committee of Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC). He is an engineer by education.

Earlier on Saturday, Vijay Rupani had announced his resignation as the Chief Minister of Gujarat in a sudden announcement. The announcement was made after the media was urgently summoned at the Raj Bhavan in Gandhinagar.

“I have resigned from the post of Gujarat Chief Minister,” Vijay Rupani had told the media after meeting Governor Acharya Devvrat. “I have conveyed my wishes to work in party organization under the leadership of Prime Minister and under the guidance of BJP chief,” he had added.

The reasons for the resignation are not entirely clear but it is speculated that his health might have contributed to the decision. Bhupendra Patel is the BJP’s third Chief Minister in the state since Narendra Modi became Chief Minister.

Taliban celebrated the beheading of an Afghan soldier, and raised slogans in the name of their leader, a report by the Washington Examiner says. According to the report, published on the 10th of September, the 36 second video was posted in a private Taliban chat room. It is not clear precisely when the video was made.

The video shows the Afghan soldiers lying on his back on the ground, surrounded by seven Talibs, including the one filming the gruesome spectacle. Of them, five carried rifles while the sixth had two knives with him.

The Talibs held the decapitated head by the hair of the victim and raised slogans. They are heard shouting, “God is great and long life to Ameer ul momeneen Mullah Haybat Uallah Akhunzada!” Towards the end of the video, the leader of the group says, “Shoot him! He has to look shot!”

Brig. Gen. Don Bolduc, a Special Ops Commander who has overseen police and army training, told the Washington Examiner that he has seen 3 decapitated bodies during his 10 tours of Afghanistan.

He said, referring to the Taliban, “These people commit crimes against humanity that pale in comparison to other groups in history. Some of their torture methods are to skin a person alive.”

“There is nothing good about these people. After 20 years of taking the Taliban off the planet permanently or putting them in confinement where should stay the rest of their lives, the Obama administration decided to let them go, and now they are holding the highest positions in the Afghanistan government,” he added.

There are multiple reports of grisly crimes committed by the Jihadist outfit. A woman who had come over to India from Afghanistan had earlier revealed that Taliban has sex with dead bodies. She had said, “They rape dead bodies too. They don’t care whether the person is dead or alive… Can you imagine this?” She had also revealed that women were being shot by the outfit in Afghanistan.

One of the great pearls of wisdom to have been delivered at the Dismantling Global Hindutva conference is that the BJP’s outreach towards Hijdas, members of the LGBT community, is dangerous for Muslims.

A panelist said that there are “increasing alliances between Hindutva politics and hijra and trans politics, which is yet another sign of Hindtuva’s ability to make forays into marginalized communities.”

It was also claimed that “Hijras alliances with the BJP leaders result in increased hostility against Muslim hijras”.

The panelist makes it appear as if the ruling party accommodating the LGBT community in society and attempting their integration is a bad thing. Liberals argue all the time for greater representation of the LGBT community but when Hindutva groups reach out to them, then liberals claim it is dangerous.

It is as if Hindutva groups could do nothing at all to get into their good books. And after all this time, it is certain that is indeed the case.

‘Alliance between Hindutva women and Zionist women’

The panelists at the event also appear to suffer under the delusion that there is some conspiracy underway between ‘Zionist women’ and ‘Hindutva women’.

The panelists also claim that ‘Savarna’ women must turn into ‘caste-traitors’ for their political agenda to succeed. It is just a euphemism for their desire to see Upper Caste women engage in marital relationships outside their caste or religion.

Needless to say, playing politics over women’s choice to marry who they wish is despicable in its truest sense. What the Dismantling Hindutva conference is essentially arguing is that if women do not marry as per the wishes of its esteemed panelists, then they are fascists. It’s a horrible stance to take and utterly condemnable.\

Dismantling Global Hindutva Conference: A Hinduphobic event

A panelist had said on the first day of the conference, “I take Hindutva as political Hinduism, not a distortion of an older tradition but a continuation of it.” Thus, confirming what was always known, that it is a Hinduphobic event and the arguments that it was only against a political ideology was mere bluff.

The previous track record of the panelists were enough indication of the kind of event it was going to be but comments made during the discussions leave no room for doubt.
