A disturbing video of two men testing a crude bomb on the road has surfaced on social media. A Twitter user who goes by the name @erbmjha shared the video yesterday tagging Uttar Pradesh police requesting action against the two. The video shows two men, one of whom was carrying the bomb in his hand while sitting on a parked bike and the other one was recording the video.

In the video, one of the men can be seen flaunting a crude bomb in his hand. He then throws the bomb in the middle of the road. The bomb explodes and both the man cheer and laugh.

Police arrested Khalid Noman and Safir Faruqui

Responding to the video on Twitter, Prayagaj police informed that Nawabganj police have taken cognisance of the matter. The two persons identified as Khalid Noman and Safir Faruqui have been arrested by the police.

According to the police, Noman and Faruqui told during interrogation that the video was about one and a half year old. Legal action has been initiated by the police against the two.

Senior Telangana IPS officer RS Praveen Kumar has courted a massive controversy after being caught in a video asking children to take an oath, pledging that they would not follow any Hindu rituals and traditions future.

A video of RS Praveen, currently the secretary of Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TSWREIS), has gone viral on the internet where he was seen taking oath along with several people strongly affirming their disbelief in the existence of Hindu deities and their traditions.

The Hinduphobic act of a serving police officer has created a massive uproar on the internet, who accused Kumar of promoting anti-Hindu propaganda among students. This shocking came to light during the ‘Swaero Holy Month’ ceremony that he launched at the famous Buddhist shrine at Dhulikatta in the Peddapalli district of Telangana.

A video clip of the said function was circulated in social media showing Praveen Kumar and others taking this anti-Hindu pledge.

“I do not have faith in Gowri, Ganapathi or other Hindu gods. I will not worship them. I do not accept the concept of avatars of God. I will not do Sraadha Karma, nor do Pinda Daan. I will not do anything that is against the principles and teachings of Buddha. I will not consume alcohol. I do not believe in Rama, Krishna. I will not worship them,” Praveen Kumar dictated the oath to those innocent children.

Reportedly, the TSWREIS was set up by the Telangana government in 2014 to provide quality education to needy and deprived children and administer the various schools, colleges, and hostels run by the Telangana state government.

Praveen Kumar perpetuates anti-Hindu propaganda, corrupts minds of children: Activist group

According to the activist group – Legal Rights Protection Forum (LRPF), RS Praveen Kumar has been perpetuating anti-social activities by promoting the anti-Hindu ideology and corrupting the minds of children studying in schools/hostels run under the aegis of Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TSWREIS).

In a complaint to Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions and the Department of Personnel and Training, the LRPF has alleged that Praveen Kumar had initiated a movement called SWAEROES or (Social Welfare AEROES), which is indulging in highly enraging anti-social activities by poisoning the minds of little children and the society at large in the name of upliftment of poor SC students and providing quality education.

“Such dubious activities in the name of welfare must stop, and punitive measures must be adopted to bring such state actors working in a non-stately actor fashion to Justice in the larger interest of public peace and maintenance of Law & Order”, the complaint stated.

“By taking the names of Gods and Goddesses belonging to a particular religion, Mr Praveen Kumar ― who is serving as an IPS officer and holding the responsible chair as Secretary to Telangana Social Welfare Residential Schools department schools, being in a highly decisive, authorized public bureaucrat ― is openly spreading hatred against other religions in an uncalled-for gesture”, the LRPF complaint read.

The complaint further alleged that RS Praveen Kumar has been continuing in the same position and department for more than seven years of long period which is a contravention to the general practice of Department of Personnel & Training. Besides this, he was recently promoted as Additional Director General of Police without having any experience in serving as a full time Police Officer, the letter added.

Police officer has taken control of govt funds in the name of SWAEROS, says complaint

Incidentally, ‘SWAEROS’ is a campaign launched by Praveen Kumar during his tenure as the Telangana Social & Tribal Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society secretary. The ‘Swaero Holy Month’, also called Bheem Deeksha, is a month-long event marked by reading Dr BR Ambedkar’s works and other such activities.

The oath draws inspiration from the pledge taken by Dr BR Ambedkar upon his conversion to Buddhism at Deeksha Bhoomi in Nagpur, Maharashtra, in 1956.

The letter also stated that Praveen Kumar and SWAEROES have “reportedly taken complete control of hundreds of taxpayer-funded, government-run educational institutions”. The complaint said that as part of the Buddhist teaching forced upon them, children’s heads are regularly tonsured and that they are sent home with cleanly shaved heads.

Attacks against BJP leaders by SWAEROS members

Several Hindu organisations, including BJP leaders, protested against Praveen Kumar and his ‘Swaeroes’ for propagating anti-Hindu propaganda by using state funds. Telangana BJP leaders and VHP members have accused Praveen Kumar of cultivating sentiments against the Hindu religion through the Swaero movement among students of the Telangana Social & Tribal Welfare Residential Educational Institutions.

Following the serious allegations, the members of Swaeroes attacked state BJP President Bandi Sanjay Kumar with rods and stones near Koada in Telangana. The members of Swaeroes attacked Sanjay Kumar and damaged his vehicle for voicing his protests against the anti-Hindu propaganda on Praveen Kumar.

The BJP leaders alleged that Praveen Kumar and members of Swaeroes had led the attack against Karimnagar MP in a planned manner with iron rods, sticks and stones when he was travelling from Huzurnagar to Hyderabad. The attackers have damaged the windows of the car in which Sanjay Kumar was travelling.

The controversial cop Praveen Kumar issued a statement saying Swaeroism is an inclusive ideology, where people of all religious faiths are working for the liberation of the poor from poverty. However, he did not condemn any violence against BJP leaders.

“Swaero Network has people with all religious beliefs in it, and we take the best from all religions, and we don’t teach any prejudice against any religion both in our homes and in workplaces and celebrate all festivals. We work for a just and equal society in the country only through education, health awareness, scientific thinking and economic empowerment, not through hatred,’  the statement said. 

Meanwhile, the Hindu organisations have demanded that the state government transfer him from his current post.

According to reports, Indiabulls Housing Finance sold property worth Rs 114 crore belonging to Yes Bank CEO and co-founder Rana Kapoor. Economic Times quoted sources and said that the property located on South Delhi’s Kautilya Marg was sold to recover a part of Rs 240 crores worth loan that Indiabulls lent to Bliss Villa. Kapoor was the guarantor of the loan.

In January 2021, Indiabulls took possession of the said property that houses a building of ground plus two floors. It is spread over 1,234 square yards. Bliss Villa had defaulted on three loans worth Rs 83.43 crore, Rs 69.88 crore and Rs 86.56 crore. To recover the amount, the finance company auctioned the property at a base price of Rs 114.32 crore.

ED case against Kapoor

The Enforcement Directorate is investigating a money laundering case against Kapoor. So far, the department has provisionally attached properties worth Rs 792 crore belonging to Kapoor and related entities. In March 2020, ED alleged that Kapoor bought a painting of Rajiv Gandhi from Priyanka Gandhi for Rs 2 crore, which could be ‘proceeds of crime’. At that time, ED said that they might summon Priyanka to take part in the investigation.

An ED officer had said, “The Rs 2 crore paid by Rana Kapoor to Priyanka Gandhi was received by him from the bank shortly before he gave it to her and thus becomes part of our investigation into the case. Both the buyer and the seller could attract action under Section 3 of the PMLA Act.”

Reports suggest that Kapoor and his aides (including his wife and three daughters) had received benefits worth Rs. 4,300 crore through companies controlled by them as kickbacks for sanctioning loans. Kapoor is currently lodged in Taloja jail at Navi Mumbai.

In yet another attempt to stay relevant, Rakesh Tikait, BKU Spokesperson and self proclaimed leader of farmers agitation has given a call to demolish godowns of some private companies if the Centre does not repeal the three Farm Laws. As reported by Tribune, Tikait made this warning was given at a ‘Kisan Mahapanchayat’ held at Sriganganagar, 40 km from Abohar, Punjab. He alleged that a few private companies have begun constructing godowns to store grains even when the laws have been kept on hold.

Harping on the same narrative of Modi government wanting to sell the country to a few businessmen, he alleged as soon as the laws will be exercised, milk, electricity, fertilisers, seeds and motor vehicles marketing will be controlled by a few corporates. Tikait also expressed his displeasure over media not covering agitations in Southern part of India and elsewhere but claimed he will extend his support to all through social media.

Meanwhile, in a vital development as reported by Bar and Bench, the Punjab and Haryana High Court has sought immediate response from the Central and Punjab governments on a plea filed by a storage company. Russian media regulator warns Twitter: Remove unlawful content or face country-wide ban in a month

On March 16, Vadim Subbotin, deputy head of Russia’s media regulator Roskomnadzor, said that the Russian officials might soon announce a ban on micro-blogging site Twitter if it fails to comply with the orders to remove unlawful posts including child pornography, calls for suicide and drug usage. He said, “Twitter does not adequately respond to our requests – if things go on as they have been – then in a month, it will be blocked without needing a court order.”

Roskomnadzor also urged the tech giant to comply with the orders to avoid a ban. On March 10, the Russian authorities started to slow down the speed of traffic on Twitter as it failed to remove the content as per the orders given by the Russian government. The watchdog then alleged that the company “does not remove content that incites minors to commit suicide, contains child pornography or information about the use of drugs.”

In a statement issued on VK, Roskomnadzor said, “The slowdown applies to the delivery of audio, video content and graphics. Social network text messages are delivered without restrictions.”

In its statement, Roskomnadzor said, “As of March 11, 2021, more than 3.1 thousand materials with prohibited information remains not deleted. There was no response to the request sent by Roskomnadzor to Twitter to remove prohibited materials with child pornography, narcotic and suicidal content.”

Roskomnadzor further added if the company continue to ignore the orders, Russian Authorities will continue to take measures against the tech giant to the point of blocking the social media network altogether.

Reaction from Twitter

In its statement last week, Twitter said that they are aware of the reports that Twitter was intentionally slowed down “broadly and indiscriminately in Russia due to apparent content removal concerns.” It further added that they are deeply concerned by the “increased attempts to block and throttle online public conversation.”

Twitter had received criticism for its biased attitude

Speaking to Sudarshan News, Shringi Yadav dismissed the claims that the Muslim boy was targeted inside the temple for drinking water. Rubbishing the allegations, Yadav, who is now being depicted as the ‘mascot of hatred’ by the ‘left-liberal’ media, said that Asif was caught urinating on the Shivling inside the Dasna Devi temple and added the claims of Muslim youth entering the premises to drink water is not true.

Narrating the incident, Yadav said that Asif had entered the temple with another Muslim youth. He noticed that Asif was urinating on the Shivling and confronted him.

As per Shringi Yadav, there are more than 50 handpumps installed in the surrounding areas near the Dasna temple, and there is a tap around the corner. “If someone were thirsty, he would have used the handpump. What was he doing near Shivling,” asked Shringi Yadav.

Further, Shringi Yadav said that two Muslim youths – Asif and his friend were present inside the temple premises on the day of the incident. The other youth, who had accompanied Asif, was seen wearing a skull cap and was behaving indecently in the presence of a few Hindu women visiting the temple. Yadav said the youth with the skull cap unzipped his pants in front of the women. As Yadav and others confronted them, the two youths ran away.

Responding to the allegations that the boy Asif was allegedly thrashed for drinking water inside the temple premises, Shringi Yadav rejected the allegations saying that the Muslim youths have a history of harassing Hindu women visiting the temple.

“A few days ago, a few Muslims from Darul Uloom Deoband had entered the temple premises in disguise. However, they were caught and asked not to enter the Hindu temple by the Yati himself,” Shringi Yadav narrated what transpired on the day of the incident.

Asif beaten because he was caught stealing, says a priest

Earlier, a pandit (priest) at the temple had rubbished reports claiming that Asif was thrashed for being a Muslim or drinking water. He contended that he was beaten because people have been caught indulging in antisocial activities at the temple compound.

“This has been a pattern for a few years now. These people (Muslims) are often caught vandalising inside the premises. They have been caught urinating on the idols and even letting their domestic animals defecate inside the sanctuaries. They are also caught stealing steel pipes and other things from the compound. He (Asif) was also found stealing something. The story that he was in the temple for drinking water is simply hogwash. He is not the only one. There are at least 50 Muslims like him who enters the temple compound intending to steal valuables. When they are caught, they claim innocence by claiming they were in the compound for drinking water,” the priest had said.

The pandit contended that men from the other community in the region enter temple premises during day hours for recce purposes and later in the night carry out robberies. He cited 4 instances of dacoities when valuables in the temple compound were stolen.

Muslims carry out theft and sexual harassment inside the temple: Mahant Yati Narasinhanand Saraswati 

As soon as the controversy broke out last week, the left-media and the secular media ecosystem had pounced on the people responsible for managing the Dasna Devi temple in Ghaziabad. A series of propaganda was unleashed to depict that the Muslim youth was ‘thrashed’ for drinking water inside the temple premises.

However, a few days later, more details began to emerge that punctured the claims pushed by the left-liberal media pertaining to the incident.

The Head Priest (Mahant) of the Dasna Devi temple – Yati Narasinhanand Saraswati, dismissed each charge put out against him and his disciples following the incident. According to Mahant, the Hindu temple where the incident took place is frequented by several female devotees from nearby villages often targeted by Muslim goons.

He added that whenever a complaint was lodged against the harassment meted out to the female devotees, the Muslim society would come out in support of the accused. In an interview with The Quint, he pointed out that the Muslim population in the area is around 95%, while Hindus comprise only 5% of the population. 

The Mahant emphasised that incidents of theft, assault and sexual harassment of female devotees went on to such an extent that the temple management was forced to bar Muslims’ entry into the temple premises.

“How come a 14-15-year-old boy does not know how to read?” the Mahant inquired. “What is the point of raising so many children if they can’t even provide basic literacy? Is it to commit theft, robbery and loot? This temple has been robbed 4 times. Several Mahants had been killed or forced to leave. This is the history of this temple. Did you report about any of this?” the Mahant asked.

Mahant Yati Narasinhanand Saraswati asserted that the temple is private property and not public property. He stated that the temple management body reserves the right of entry, and even journalists and government officials, if they are Muslim, will not be allowed inside the premises.

Citing an incident from last year, Yati Narasihanand Saraswati said that the son of local MLA Aslam Chaudhary was thrashed inside temple premises for molesting a female devotee.

As per reports, Ritika Phogat had participated in the state-level sub-junior, junior women, and men wrestling competition at Lohagarh Stadium in Bharatpur, Rajasthan between March 12 and 14. Ritika went in shock after she lost the finals by just one point which was attended by father of Phogat sisters, Mahavir Phogat.

Ritika who was just 17 years of age, had won many domestic as well as regional championships in wrestling. A resident of Jaitpur village in Rajasthan’s Jhunjhunu, Ritika had been learning and practicing wrestling for over five years at Mahavir Phogat, a Donacharya awardee’s wrestling academy.

A video has gone viral on social media where a Narendra Modi supporter chants ‘Narendra Modi Zindabad’ and ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ amid a crowd of ‘farmer’ leader Rakesh Tikait and his supporters.

In the undated video, the crowd can first be heard hailing Rakesh Tikait. And suddenly, at around 20 seconds, one man, in a loud, booming voice hails PM Narendra Modi. He chants ‘Narendra Modi Zindabad’, pushing Tikait and his supporters into a stunned silence. For a few minutes they watch quietly this man chant ‘Narendra Modi Zindabad’. Eventually, after overcoming the initial shock, they start chanting anti-Modi slogans even as the Modi supporter holds his ground, shouting over them.

It is not immediately clear where the video was shot. Tikait was recently in Bengal to campaign against the BJP in the upcoming West Bengal elections. He has extended support to the ruling TMC led by Mamata Banerjee who is currently the CM of West Bengal.
