Jeremy Corbyn suspended from Labour Party after damning report that claims the party broke laws while dealing with antisemitism complaints

0

Former leader of the Labour Party, Jeremy Corbyn, has been suspended by the party following comments he made on a damning report on the pervasive problem of antisemitism within the party. He has vowed to challenge the suspension. The suspension has the potential to ignite a civil war within the Labour Party with allies of Jeremy Corbyn rushing to his defence.

The report by the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) claimed that the Labour Party broke the law in three areas while dealing with complaints of antisemitism. The three areas included political interference in antisemitism complaints, failure to provide adequate training to those handling antisemitism complaints and harassment of those who complained.

The EHRC has served an unlawful act notice to the Labour Party. The Commission can recommend any actions to avoid the actions from being repeated in the future. The report said that the Commission had found 23 instances of political interference by the office of Jeremy Corbyn in the 70 cases that it looked into.

Jeremy Corbyn responded by saying, “I regret that it took longer to deliver that change than it should” but added “The scale of the problem was also dramatically overstated for political reasons by our opponents inside and outside the party, as well as by much of the media.” His response was deemed to be serious enough to attract a suspension from the party. The former Labour leader was surprised when he was told by a TV crew that he had been suspended vowing later to “strongly contest the political intervention to suspend me”.

Labour leader Sir Kier Starmer said he had not directed Corbyn’s suspension but the decision was taken by the party. He said it was “appropriate action” that “I fully support” and added, “I made it very clear… the Labour Party will not tolerate antisemitism or the denial of antisemitism.” Former shadow chancellor John McDonnell, a Corbyn ally, urged party members to “stay calm” and “all call upon the leadership to lift this suspension”.

Diane Abbott, former shadow home secretary, said, “I oppose the decision to suspend Jeremy Corbyn from the Labour Party and will work for his reinstatement.” Len McCluskey, the head of the Unite union, labelled it “an act of grave injustice which, if not reversed, will create chaos within the party and in doing so compromise Labour’s chances of a general election victory.” He warned, “A split party will be doomed to defeat.”

The EHRC’s lead investigator, Alasdair Henderson, however, said that the buck stops with Jeremy Corbyn. “As the leader of the party at the time, and given the extent of the failings we found in the political interference within the leader of the opposition’s office, Jeremy Corbyn is ultimately accountable and responsible for what happened at that time,” Henderson said.

The Jewish Labour Movement (JLM), stated that the blame “lies firmly with those who held positions of leadership – those who possessed both power and influence to prevent the growth of anti-Jewish racism”. The JLM was one of the groups that initially referred the party to the EHRC. The chief executive of Campaign Against Antisemitism (CAM), another such party, Gideon Falter, said, “The EHRC’s report utterly vindicates Britain’s Jews, who were accused of lying and exaggerating, acting as agents of another country and using their religion to ‘smear’ the Labour party.”

Locals stop Congress leader Kumari Selja from visiting Nikita Tomar’s house, killed by one Tauseef, raise anti-Congress slogans

The brutal killing if the 21-year-college student Nikita Tomar in Haryana by one Tauseef, who belongs to an influential family of Congress politicians, has come as a major embarrassment for the Congress Party. The attempts of Haryana Congress leader and Rahul Gandhi’s close aide Kumari Selja, to meet the deceased Nikita Tomar’s family was stalled after angry locals stopped her vehicle as she went to meet the victim’s family in Ballabgarh on Thursday.

The locals, miffed over the stoic silence that Congress party has been maintaining over this incident, where incidentally the prime accused is related to the party leaders, resorted to sloganeering and demanded to know why no action had been taken against the accused.

Interestingly, unlike the Hathras case, around which the grand old party’s scion Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra had created a major brouhaha, the duo has not even spoken a word of condemnation against this brutal act, where a young girl was brutally shot dead in broad daylight, by an influential Congress leader’s kin.

Meanwhile, in a video shared by Republic TV, people could be seen thronging Kumari Selja’s convoy and raising slogans against the party.

Congress links with Nikita Tomar murder case

According to reports, Tauseef, the prime accused in the case, reportedly belongs to a family of influential Congress politicians.

Tauseef is the grandson of Kabir Ahmed, a Congress leader who was elected as an MLA from Haryana’s Nuh constituency in 1975 and from the Tauru constituency in 1982. He continued to be Khanpur and Raisika village sarpanch for almost 20 years. Khanpur and Raisika are located in Nuh Tehsil of Mewat district in Haryana.

Moreover, Tauseef’s late uncle Khurshid Ahmad was a Congress MP of Haryana and was an ex-Cabinet minister of Haryana. Khurshid Ahmed’s son and Taufeeq’s cousin brother Aftab Ahmed was elected as MLA from Nuh, Mewat on the ticket of Congress Party and has been a Minister as well.

Political pressure being exerted to save Tauseef

The deceased’s brother has revealed in an interview to the media that a lot of political pressure is being exerted to save Tauseef. He has also named Congress leader Aftab Ahmed in his statement.

Since Tauseef’s connection with the Congress party has come to the fore, social media has been outraging asking why the Congress scions and the Congress friendly media, which had created such a hue and cry over the Hathras incident are maintaining a stoic silence over the brutal killing of Nikita Tomar.

Nikita Tomar murder

On Monday, 21-year-old Nikita Tomar was shot to death in broad daylight by Touseef after she repeatedly turned down his advances. He had allegedly repeatedly asked her to convert to Islam as well. The shocking incident was caught on camera, visuals of which have now gone viral. Touseef and his accomplice Rehan were arrested.

Shadow group of Lashkar-e-Taiba claims responsibility of killing three BJYM workers in Jammu and Kashmir

0

Pakistan based terrorist organisation Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) is behind the deadly attack that killed three BJYM workers in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district Thursday, IG Kashmir has confirmed. The IGP (Kashmir Range) Vijay Kumar on Friday said that the attack was the handiwork of The Resistance Front (TRF). TRF is a shadow group of the of Lashkar-e-Taiba.

Claiming responsibility for the killings, The Resistance Front (TRF), in a message in English and Hindi on its social media account, threatened that the “crematoriums will get overbooked”.

The three Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) workers – Fida Hussain, Umer Hajam and Umer Rashid Beigh were shot by terrorists in Kulgam district late on Thursday evening, a police official said. The recently inducted National President of BJP Yuva Morcha Tejasvi Surya also took to Twitter to inform about the same.

The incident took place at Eidgah in Y K Pora village in Qazigund. As per inputs, all three were travelling in a car when terrorists opened indiscriminate fire at them around 8.20 pm on Thursday evening.

The trio was rushed to a local hospital at Qazigund where doctors declared them dead on arrival.

Lashkar-e-Taiba targetting BJP workers and leaders in Jammu and Kashmir

Terrorists in the valley, have since June, stepped up attacks on BJP workers and leaders, killing eight of them so far.

On June 9, Pakistan-sponsored terrorist group ‘The Resistance Front’ (TRF) has taken responsibility for the assassination of Kashmiri Pandit Sarpanch Ajay Pandita in South Kashmir. Ajay Pandita was an elected Sarpanch of Lokbowan Larkipora in Anantnag.

Following the killing of Pandita, the LeT terrorists had allegedly kidnapped one woman Sarpanch from Sopore area in north Kashmir and threatened her. They recorded a video in which Zahida agreed to resign from her post. It is being believed that the terrorist released Zahida thereafter.

Here’s why Jammu and Kashmir does not need a law to protect their land but many other states do

In a landmark decision, the Government of India has now decided that any Indian can purchase land in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The obvious aim of this is the full and complete integration of J&K with the rest of India after the abolition of Article 370. But Omar Abdullah has a question.

The Economic times article on Jammu and Kashmir land purchase law change
The Economic times

He is referring to states such as Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Meghalaya and many others which enjoy special protections against “outsiders” buying up land. In fact, many other states such as Jharkhand have a variety of restrictions on who can buy land and where. If all these places can have such laws, why not Jammu and Kashmir? Is this hypocritical?

We’ll see. First, let us take an example.

All across India, the center and state governments provide rice and wheat and other staples at near zero prices to BPL families. There is an extensive midday meal program for kids in government schools. This is to address the systemic problem of malnutrition, under-nutrition and food insecurity in India.

At the same time, India suffers from a high rate of lifestyle related diseases such as obesity, heart disease and diabetes. The government has another bunch of initiatives to tackle these problems, such as Fit India program to promote healthy living.

Is this hypocrisy then for the government to be running both? What is the problem in India: people eating too much or people eating too little?

It’s a silly question. Just like the one Omar Abdullah is asking. Where there is a problem of under-nutrition, you try to bring in food security. Where there are problems of obesity, you promote the Fit India program.

There can be a flood in Assam at the same time as a drought in Maharashtra. The Central government can provide drought relief to Maharashtra while providing flood relief to Assam. It’s not hypocrisy. It’s called doing what is necessary.

The problem in Kashmir was the apartheid regime of Article 370. It was apartheid against tribals, against women, against homosexuals, against members of the Valmiki community, against members of the Gorkha community. And of course, it was apartheid against Hindus: 5 lakh Hindus had to leave their homes due to threat of violence. You could even talk about language apartheid : only Urdu and English were recognized as official languages, even though barely 1% of the population spoke Urdu. The languages of real people, such as Kashmiri, Dogra and Hindi were not recognized. Indeed, the much vaunted “Kashmiriyat” had no place for the Kashmiri language.

In short, the problem in J&K was the xenophobia of a tiny elite that held the state in an iron grip. So what is the solution? Open it up. Let the state integrate fully with the rest of the country.

There are places in India where the problem is the opposite. We are a very diverse country. Small groups, especially historically marginalized tribal populations are at serious risk of having their identity wiped out. Where that is the case, we make special laws to protect their identity.

It’s that simple. Two competing forces. The need to open up and integrate. The need to protect identity. Both are important. We tackle the extremes of both. Where protectionism has turned into xenophobia and apartheid, we open things up. Where there is a group that might be losing the last bits of its identity, we offer a layer of protection.

Two competing concerns. The government playing referee and feeding one or the other based on case by case decisions. If there is someone who wants to invest in India, the government helps them open a factory and create jobs. If there is a factory that is polluting air or water to unacceptable levels, the same government will shut it down.

Both are the job of government.

Is it hypocrisy to have both a ministry for commerce and a ministry for the environment?

If the food is too hot, you wait for it to cool down so you can eat. If the food has gone too cold, you heat it up so you can eat. And that’s why we need right now that any citizen should be able to buy property in J&K. And also that the land rights of small communities in many other states are protected.

Bhopal Congress MLA Arif Masood, who organised anti-France protest, says he would have crushed President Macron’s face for blasphemy

The cartoon depiction of prophet Mohammad by a French satirical magazine called Charlie Hebdo and the French President Emmanuel Macron’s defence of freedom of speech and condemnation of radical Islam have invited the wrath of Muslims all over the world. While the Indian government has expressed solidarity with France after recent attacks on French people by Islamic terrorists, some Muslim leaders and organisations in India have condemned the French President alleging him of insulting the Prophet.

In a protest led by Congress MLA Arif Masood in Bhopal against the French President, Masood said that if it had been in his capacity, he would have crushed the face of President Macron. “We want to send out a message to the French President, if it was in our capacity we would have mowed your face”, Masood said. “Our hands are tied because we are law-abiding citizens and we have been taught peace by our Allah’s prophet”, he added.

Arif Masood, the Congress MLA from Bhopal Central, had organised the protest against the French President Emmanuel Macron. Taking to Twitter, Masood said that thousands of Muslims had assembled at Iqbal Maidan on Thursday to protest against the French President for speaking ill against Prophet Muhammad.

Meanwhile, a complaint has been lodged against Congress MLA Arif Masood and others for organising a rally of more than 2,000 Muslims by violating social distancing norms.

Darul Uloom asks government to condemn France

Outraging against France for allegedly insulting Prophet Mohammad, Maulana Mufti Abul Qasim Nomani, head of Darul Uloom, Deoband, demanded the Islamic Organisation of Cooperation (OIC), the Arab League and other Muslim countries to take action against France. “It is the responsibility of the Islamic countries and their rules to form a strong strategy against France on this matter and this should be strongly raised on international forums as well. The OIC, the Arab League and other Muslim countries should raise their voice against the French government and lodge a protest at the diplomatic and commercial levels”, Nomani said.

The Islamic seminary urged the Indian government to condemn the French government and appeal for bringing an international law punishing blasphemy.

Kerala: Bineesh Kodiyeri, son of senior CPM leader Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, arrested for money laundering and links with drug smuggler Mohammed Anoop

In a major embarrassment to Pinarayi Vijayan-led Kerala government, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday arrested the younger son of Kerala Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPM) General Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan – Bineesh Kodiyeri in connection with a drug case and for his involvement in money laundering.

According to the reports, the Enforcement Directorate said Bineesh Kodiyeri was arrested under sections of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) and added that the accused will be questioned for allegedly financing a drugs network.

Bineesh Kodiyeri was arrested after Enforcement Directorate had unearthed his links to one of the main accused in the Sandalwood drug case – Mohammed Anoop. Earlier on September 9, Bineesh was grilled by the ED for his alleged role in the Kerala gold smuggling racket that has direct links to the Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

The ED has alleged that the drug peddler Mohammed Anoop was a “benamidar” of Bineesh, who allegedly channelled fund from various sources for peddling drug.

Bineesh’s links to Sandalwood drug case

Trouble began to Bineesh after NCB officials had nabbed Mohammed Anoop and two others for operating a drug racket and often supplied to some prominent musicians and actors in Sandalwood film industry. The NCB had seized ecstasy or MDMA pills and cash during the raids conducted in various locations in Bengaluru.

During the interrogation, Mohammed Anoop had disclosed that he had close ties with Bineesh Kodiyeri, the son of Kerala Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPM) General Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan. The call records had also confirmed that that Mohammed Anoop was in regular touch with Bineesh Kodiyeri. The call records also revealed that the drug peddlers had called Bineesh twice in August.

Mohammed Anoop had also confessed to the NCB that Kerala CPI(M) secretary Bineesh Kodiyeri had lent him money to take property on lease in Kammanahalli locality in Bengaluru five years ago. However, Bineesh Kodiyeri, during his interrogation, had claimed that he only knew Anoop’s family, who had borrowed Rs 6 lakh from him to start a restaurant.

Bineesh Kodiyeri had also links with Kerala gold smuggling case accused

Bineesh Kodiyeri’s involvement in the Kerala gold scam has also came under the scanner as it is being reported that he had alleged links with a key accused in the Kerala gold smuggling case.

Interestingly, Mohammad Anoop, who is arrested in the Sandalwood drug case, is also an accused in the Kerala gold smuggling case. One of the accused in the Kerala gold smuggling case – KT Ramees and Anoop Mohammad were reportedly friends.

During the ED investigation into Kerala gold smuggling case, it had found out that there was a close link between Kerala gold smuggling and Sandalwood drug cases. The smuggling case came to light on July 5 after 30 kilograms of gold was seized from a consignment came in the name of the United Arab Emirates consular office in Thiruvananthapuram.

Further, there are allegations that CPI(M) leader’s son had called Mohammed Anoop 26 times on 5 July, who is also the main accused in the Kerala gold smuggling case.

It is important to note that Kerala Chief Minister’s office has been accused of having direct links with the Kerala Gold scam accused Swapna Suresh.

Kodiyeri Balakrishnan’s other son was accused of rape, financial fraud

Binoy Kodiyeri, the elder son of Kerala CPM chief Kodiyeri Balakrishnan had embroiled in several controversies after his name had surfaced in cases of financial fraud, rape and cheating.

In July 2019, Binoy Kodiyeri was booked in a rape case over a complaint filed by a 33-year-old woman. Mumbai Police had registered a case against Binoy after the woman alleged that he had raped her repeatedly over a decade under the pretext of marrying her.

The woman had also alleged that she was kept in dark regarding Binoy’s marital status. The woman also has an eight-year-old son who she claims was fathered by Binoy.

Later, an audio clip had surfaced in which Binoy Kodiyeri was allegedly heard threatening the victim asking her settle the rape complaints filed against him.

Reportedly, in 2018, Binoy Kodiyeri was also accused of cheating a Dubai-based travel agency of Rs 13 crore. Hasan Ismaeel Abdulla Almarzooqi, owner of Dubai-based JAAS Tourism LLC, had sought the help of Indian authorities in extraditing Binoy from India to Dubai alleging that he has cheated him for an amount of Rs. 7.87 crores, which goes upto Rs. 13 crore including bank interests and legal charges.

Assam becomes the first state to introduce ‘Transgender’ as a gender option in state civil service exam application form

0

In a first, Assam has included a ‘transgender’ option in the gender category of the civil service examination form. The separate category was introduced in the recently conducted application procedure of the Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examinations that are to be held in 2021.

According to reports, a total of 42 candidates from the transgender community of Assam have filled the form to apply for the posts of state civil service, police and other allied services this year.

Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) chairman Pallab Bhattacharya said, “Initially we had not made a separate category for transgender persons when we issued notification for the exam in September. We were soon approached by a prominent transgender activist Swati Bidhan Baruah to include a separate category.”

“We had a discussion with Baruah and also checked with UPSC where transgender persons are already allowed to apply in a separate category called other. The state government was apprised of the matter and a separate category was created,” he added.

Lauding the step taken by the state commission for the upliftment of the transgender community, Swati Bidhan Baruah, associate vice-chairperson of the Assam State Transgender Welfare Board told G Plus, “It’s a much-welcomed development. But only doing so wouldn’t be of much help if special steps are not included. I have written to the Commission to secure reservation for the community and also provide special standard operating procedures (SOP) so that others do not misuse this provision.”

This examination is similar to the civil services examinations conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and selects candidates for state civil service, police and other allied services for the state.

HM seeks opinions of central armed police forces on incorporating ‘transgender’ as third gender for recruiting officers

Earlier in July, the Union Home Ministry had asked the central armed forces like the CRPF, ITBP, SSB & CISF for their opinion on incorporating ‘transgender’ as a Third category along with male and female in the rules of Central Armed Police Forces- CAPF(AC) Examination 2020.

The departments had been asked to furnish their opinions so as to a final view on the matter can be taken soon.

UP Govt dedicates Noida’s Sector-50 Metro station for the employment of transgenders

Recently, the Yogi Adityanath government in UP, in a step forward, had dedicated the Noida’s Sector-50 metro station for the transgender community. This initiative was taken to give the transgenders an opportunity to connect with the mainstream sections of the society.

DoPT asked central govt to include ‘transgender’ as a separate category of gender for recruitment in civil services and other posts

In April 2020, the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) had issued a memorandum asking all central government departments to include ‘transgender’ as a separate category of gender for recruitment in civil services and other posts.

French Churches mourn victims of Islamic terror attack while their Indian counterparts had opposed providing relief to victims of Islamic persecution

Churches in France tolled their bells and rang the death knell at 3 p.m. on Thursday after a terrorist attack in Nice killed three individuals and injured several others, beheading two. The Churches tolled their bells to commemorate and honour the victims of the terrorist attack after the French bishops’ conference requested parishes to do the same.

The French bishops said in a statement, “The murders perpetrated this morning in Nice in the Basilica of Notre-Dame plunge the French bishops’ conference into immense sadness. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims, the injured, their families and loved ones.”

“These killings remind us of the martyrdom of Fr. Jacques Hamel. Through these horrible acts, our entire country is affected. This terrorism aims to instil anguish throughout our society. It is urgent that this gangrene be stopped, just as it is urgent that we regain the indispensable fraternity that will keep us all strong in the face of these threats,” they added.

While the reaction of Christian priests to the Jihadist violence in France has been quite honourable, the reaction of their Indian counterparts has been disgraceful in the past to say the least. When the Citizenship Amendment Act was passed by the Indian Parliament to help religious minorities in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan suffering persecution by Jihadists, Christian priests in India were at the forefront of opposing the move.

In Secunderabad, Telangana, Wesley Church on Christmas Day congregation had people standing with placards that read “We Indians reject CAA” and “CAA against constitution”. Others proceeded along similar lines on Christmas. Churches also proceeded to declare the Republic Day as ‘Constitution Protection Day’.

“The country is going through an unprecedented social situation. The Prime Minister who took over charge by kissing the Constitution is leading the attempts to violate the values provided by the Constitution for this country. Most important among this violation is the division of society on the basis of religion. We should react strongly to exclude one particular community from the CAA,” Bishop D’Souza said.

“The CAA is against the Constitution. It is not just against Muslims but all of us. So, on January 26, the Preamble would be read out in all the churches under the KRLCBC. Bishops —whichever church they are— would take the National Pledge along with the laity and lead the Preamble readings,” said Kerala Regional Latin Catholic Council (KRLCC) general secretary Fr Francis Xavier Thanikkaparambil.

Thus, we see a remarkable difference between the stance taken by Christian priests in France towards Radical Islamic terrorism and that by their counterparts in India towards those persecuted by the same in Islamic countries. It is also to be mentioned that the CAA has provisions for Christians from the three countries as well. However, that did not stop Churches in India from prioritizing their politics over humanitarian concerns.

Alleged Mastermind of Delhi Riots where mobs killed amidst Allahu Akbar chants, condemns France beheadings saying ‘murder and Allahu Akbar’ do not go together

Apoorvanand, one of the alleged masterminds of the Delhi Anti-Hindu Riots, took to Twitter on Thursday to push his usual propaganda to whitewash the crimes of Islamic terrorists, who are on a killing spree of non-Muslims in France over allegations of indulging act of ‘blasphemy’.

The far-left Delhi University Professor, who has a history of absolving crimes committed by Islamist mobs in the country, claimed that the Islamic slogans of ‘Allahu Akbar’ and the ‘act of murder’ did not go together. “Absolutely reprehensible act in France”, he said.

Apoorvanand’s statement came in the backdrop of the recent beheadings in France carried out by Islamic terrorists, who murdered innocent civilians on the streets of France on the pretext that these individuals had made ‘blasphemous’ comments against Prophet Muhammad and Islam. These Islamic terrorists had screamed ‘Allahu Akbar’ while carrying out beheadings of non-Muslims in France highlighting the religious angle to these terror attacks.

Through his tweet, Apoorvanand meant that the killing of non-Muslims in France over the last few days by Islamic terrorists has nothing to do with Islam. According to Apoorvanand, the chants of ‘Allahu Akbar’ and the act of murder that occurred on the streets of France did not go together.

Essentially, in simple words, Apoorvanand wants the world to believe the act of beheadings of non-Muslim in France for their alleged act of ‘blasphemy’ has nothing to do with Islam but was a stand-alone crime incident. For Apoorvanand, the chants of ‘Allahu Akbar’ that reverberated on the streets of Paris during these beheadings had nothing to do with Islam per se.

Apoorvanand deliberately ignores religious motives of Islamic terrorists in France

Unsurprisingly, just a week after the beheading of a 47-year-old French teacher Samuel Paty by one of his Muslim students for showing caricatures of Prophet Mohammad and the subsequent killings in France as a response to French government’s strong statements against radical Islamic terror, the ‘liberal-seculars’ like Apoorvanand in the country have already begun to whitewash the crimes of these Islamic terrorists.

In doing so, Apoorvanand has now chosen to ignore the religious motive behind the cowardly terror attacks in France, despite the fact that the killing of non-Muslims in France were carried out on the allegations that the victims had defamed Islam and indulged in the act of ‘Islamophobia’.

The 18-year-old Muslim student had killed his own teacher Samuel Paty on the streets of Paris for allegedly ‘defaming’ Islam by showing the caricatures of Prophet Muhammad that were originally published French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo. Similarly, the subsequent killings of non-Muslims in Nice, France and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia came as a response to the strong stand taken by the French government to fight the radical Islamic terror.

However, the ‘secular’ Apoorvanand wants the world to overlook the religious angles to these barbaric acts so that it suits its political narrative in the country. The sheer audacity of ‘liberal-seculars’ to whitewash the crimes of Islamic terrorists and de-link the motives of their terror attacks from Islam to present it as some kind of a non-serious ‘incident’ is nothing but an open support for radical Islamic terrorism.

Apoorvanand – the alleged ‘mastermind’ behind the Anti-Hindu Delhi Riots

Apoorvanand, the far-left ‘activist’ who has a habit preaching morality on social media, is himself accused of being a ‘mastermind’ of the Anti-Hindu Delhi riots that was unleashed on the streets of Delhi by Muslim mob on the last week of February.

One of the main accused in the Delhi riots case – Gulfisha alias Gul, who is arrested under Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA), had confessed to the Delhi Police saying that the Delhi University professor Apoorvanand was the mastermind behind the conspiracy to incite riots in Delhi.

The accused had claimed Apoorvanand had prepared a Burqa-clad Khwateen team ahead of the Anti-Hindu Delhi riots. Gulfisha had disclosed that Apoorvanand had issued them an advance heads-up presaging riots. Furthermore, Gulfisha also added that Professor Apoorvanand also lavished praises on the students after anti-Hindu riots engulfed the national capital.

She had also said that Professor Apoorvanand had directed them that the Jamia Coordination Committee(JCC) was going to organise a movement at 20-25 places across Delhi and the purpose of the movement to portray the Indian government as an oppressive regime that discriminates against the Muslims. “This will only happen if riots take place under the guise of the protests,” Gulfisha had quoted Professor Apoorvanand.

Russia: Teenager shot dead after he shouts ‘Allahu Akbar’ and stabs police officer

On Friday, a 16-year-old terrorist was shot dead by police in the Muslim-dominated region of Tatarstan in Russia after he went on a knife-attack rampage.

As per reports, the teenager stabbed a police officer and attempted to burn down a police station. The terrorist, armed with a knife and a Molotov cocktail, yelled ‘Allahu Akbar’ and called the ‘police infidels ‘before inflicting multiple wounds on the officer. Meanwhile, the Investigative Committee of Russia has informed that it would treat the incident as a terror attack and ‘encroachment on the life of a law enforcement officer’.

In a statement, the police informed, “The young man faced to react to repeated demands to stop his actions,” the statement reads. “During the arrest, he actively resisted and stabbed one officer multiple times. Taking into account his aggressive behaviour … officers used standard-issue weapons.”

The young terrorist was eventually shot dead in Kukmor in Tatarstan. A police official initially fired warning shots when the boy tried to run away. The cop had to eventually fire shots and take him down. He was dead even before the medical team arrived at the scene. The injured police officer was rushed to the hospital and is out of danger.

French embassy in Jeddah attacked

A man in Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah had reportedly been arrested after he stabbed a guard at the French consulate, state media reported on Thursday. The man reportedly used a sharp tool to stab the guard.

The guard was immediately rushed to the hospital and is said to be recovering. The French embassy released a statement saying the guard in the Jeddah consulate attack has been hospitalised and he is out of danger. “The assailant was apprehended by Saudi security forces immediately after the attack. The guard was taken to hospital and his life is not in danger,” the embassy said in a statement.
