Here is why Congress finds it convenient to paint UP and Bihar as burdens

If you thought the Congress leader who is now the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh allegedly leading a mob and setting Gurudwara Rakabganj on fire and killing of two Sikhs was a thing of past, you may want to think again. It has been 34 years since the carnage and if history is to bear witness, the Gandhis and their loyalists don’t take very kindly to those who either don’t vote for them or those who don’t show the same level of reverence to the political Czars as the others.

Soon after swearing in as Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Nath announced that the scheme for providing incentives of investment will be imposed only after 70% of youth from Madhya Pradesh get employment.


“People from other states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh come here & local people don’t get jobs,” Nath said while addressing the media after taking the oath. If he were to stick to his words, he should give up his chair of chief minister since as someone born in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, he is taking a job a local could’ve done.

Nath, born in Uttar Pradesh, studied in St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, West Bengal and having the business interest through wife Alka and sons Nakul and Bakul are spread across the country. They control companies across sectors like real estate, aviation, plantation and hospitality.

Kamal Nath, who is now the CM of Madhya Pradesh is a thorough Congress loyalist. Just like Ashok Gehlot who used to amusingly show magic tricks to Rahul Gandhi earlier. Kamal Nath the loyalist had allegedly told RV Mani that several others are willing to drink Rahul Gandhi’s urine. This was said in a bid to castigate Mani for now bowing to pressure in implicating Narendra Modi in the Hindu terror narrative. Kamal Nath, the eternal loyalist who is alleged to have played an active role in the 1984 pogrom where Sikhs were captured, burnt and murdered (all because Indira Gandhi’s assassin was a Sikh) has not turned his attention to Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Born in Uttar Pradesh himself, he is not very happy about UP and Bihar “migrants” in Madhya Pradesh.

Uttar Pradesh and Bihar have abandoned the Congress and especially, the Gandhis. There has not been a Congress CM in these two states since 1989. Kamal Nath, almost a Gandhi family heirloom is bound to be upset with the two states that the scions have been unable to shake even after their best efforts.

During the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, one recalls how Rahul Gandhi embraced Akhilesh Yadav and called himself a “UP ka ladka”. But BJP swept those polls and now, suddenly, Kamal Nath has no qualms calling UP and Bihar residents as ‘outsiders’.

In the end, it is evident that Congress and its loyalists have absolutely no qualms deriding an entire state and creating a divide as long as their electoral purposes are served.

And while Congress uses and throws every state, the regional players of UP and Bihar have been pandering to them one way or another for their own electoral gains.

In Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh assembly elections, Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party had not formed a pre-poll alliance with Congress. However, after the elections, both extended their support to Congress because their ultimate goal was to defeat the BJP. BSP chief Mayawati had said that in as many words.

In Uttar Pradesh now, it is emerging that SP, BSP and Congress are all set to fool the public again. There appears to be a concerted effort to indulge in shadow boxing so BSP can consolidate Dalit votes, SP can consolidate Yadav and Muslim votes and Congress can split the upper-caste votes of BJP.

We may outrage on social media, accusing Congress of dividing India on regional lines, the ‘Opposition’ is united, busy dividing India on caste lines. SP and BSP and RJD are much stronger on their own in UP and Bihar. Forging an alliance with Congress has cost them two states. In 2019 they are wiser. While rabble-rousers like Kamal Nath hit out at UP and Bihar, Congress and regional players are busy putting up a show to fool its public into voting for the ‘mahagathbandhan’ that will pretend to be divided but come together for a post-poll alliance after 2019 elections.

So while Kamal Nath plays the region card, Akhilesh and Mayawati ‘appear’ upset to appeal to their voters only to join hands with Congress after elections are over.

A tale of two mobs: Rioting mob in Bulandshahr does not garner media sympathy, but in Kashmir it does

Early morning on Saturday, 15th December, supporters of terrorists clashed with security forces after an encounter and in retaliatory action, ‘civilians’ were killed. According to Kashmir Police, “While the operation was going on, a crowd who came dangerously close from different parts to the encounter site got injured.” This encounter also killed 3 terrorists including one Abdul Majid Thoker who had deserted the Army last year to join the Hizbul Mujahideen outfit.

Former DGP of Kashmir, Shesh Paul Vaid tweeted his anguish at the lost lives.


He explained that ‘civilians’ are constantly instigated by terrorists and their masters across the border in Pakistan to reach such encounter sites and disrupt the operations by pelting stones. Such people then, unfortunately, get caught in the crossfire and precious lives are lost.

The deaths of those killed get tremendous media sympathy, with the narrative being the retaliatory firing being ‘mindless killing’.


Sympathy for those ‘civilians’ killed flowed from all quarters for them.


Including from across the border.


So did anger for the security forces.

The ‘other’ mob

Barely fifteen days back, a stray bullet from a Policeman’s gun killed a 17-year-old boy in Chingrawati village of Bulandshahr district in Uttar Pradesh. The boy, Sumit’s parents were inconsolable as they recounted how their young son had just gone to the bus stop to drop off his friend and was at a wrong place at a wrong time when the bullet from Inspector Subodh Singh’s pistol killed him. Inspector Singh was later killed in mob violence, the investigation of which is being carried out by an SIT.

As soon as the news broke of the incident, the sympathies were with the police officer here and 17-year-old Sumit was painted as a violent 20-something stone-pelter who had political affiliations. Almost as if justifying his killing by Inspector Singh’s bullet. Inspector Singh was the only ‘victim’ for whom the hearts bled.


If a mob gathers in Uttar Pradesh, it absolutely cannot be a peaceful protest because a policeman (who first ‘accidentally shot’ an innocent civilian) got killed. But if a mob gathers in Kashmir, tries to disrupt encounter proceedings against terrorists, pelts stones at the security forces, and if retaliatory firing kills them, it is excessive use of force by the security forces.

Bulandshahr incident, just like the various incidents in Kashmir is not a stray incident. Horror stories of mob violence from Rajasthan, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh keep appearing even in mainstream media, but hardly any of these ‘mobs’ get any sympathy the way stone-pelters in the valley get. In fact, celebrity journalists some days wonder when would this ‘mob lynching madness’ stop.


but when mob pelts stones on security forces, they hardly ever condemn their actions.


Trolls with fictitious ‘sources’ masquerading as journalists too have a soft spot for stone-pelters.


But ‘lynching’ will stop only if police shoots at the mob.


Why the duality? Why, when both mobs are ‘angry civilians’, the so-called liberals demonise one but empathise with the other? Why is an angry gau rakshak mocked, ridiculed for protesting against killings of cows, but a Pakistan sponsored ‘protesting mob’ which takes to stone-pelting at security forces garners empathy? Why the double standards? Why are some lives less equal than others?

Jammu and Kashmir: President’s rule to be imposed in the state, senior PDP leaders continue to abandon Mufti

The union government is set to impose the President’s Rule in Jammu and Kashmir from Thursday as the Governor’s rule of six months is set to expire on Wednesday.

The governor of the Jammu and Kashmir, Satya Pal Malik had sent a report to the central government recommending imposition of President’s rule in the state, officials said on Monday. Taking the report into cognizance the union cabinet has cleared the proposal to impose President’s rule in Jammu and Kashmir from December 19.

President Ram Nath Kovind will now have to issue a proclamation declaring that the powers of the legislature of the state shall be exercisable by or under the authority of the Parliament.

Jammu and Kashmir had been placed under the Governor’s rule after the Mehbooba Mufti-led PDP-BJP coalition government was reduced to a minority after its coalition partner BJP  withdrew their support from the government. As per the state’s laws, the state came under the rule of the then governor NN Vohra. Satyapal Malik had taken charge as the governor of the state after NN Vohra completed two terms as governor of the state since 2008.

Satyapalik Malik had dissolved the 87-member state assembly on November 21 after the PDP, supported by the Congress and the National Conference, had staked their claim to form the government. Simultaneously, Sajjad Lone of the People’s Conference had also staked a claim with BJP’s support. The Governor had cited ‘horse trading and a lack of stability’ as reasons to dissolve the assembly.

Jammu and Kashmir is the only state in the country to have its own separate constitution. In case of failure of constitutional machinery in any other state of India, President’s Rule is imposed under Article 356 of the Constitution. But in the case of J&K, as per Section 92 of state Constitution, Governor’s rule has to be imposed for a period of six months first.

During the Governor’s rule, State Assembly is either suspended or dissolved. If the Constitutional machinery is not restored before the expiry of this six month period, the provision of Article 356 of the Constitution of India are extended to J&K and the President’s rule is imposed in the State.

Meanwhile, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has received a big jolt after two of party’s senior-most leaders, including a former minister, is set to quit the party taking the number of people leaving the party to eight since the PDP-BJP government fell in June this year.

Syed Basharat Bukhari, who had served as law and revenue ministers during the PDP-BJP regime, and Peer Muhammad Hussain, vice chairman of the J&K Waqf, are set to join the National Conference (NC) on Wednesday.

Recently, Haseeb Drabu, a PDP leader who served as State finance minister, also had resigned from the PDP over disputes with Mehbooba Mufti over dropping him from the cabinet.

Many senior PDP members, including former minister Imran Reza Ansari, former MLAs Abid Ansari and Abbas Wani have defected from PDP to join rivals NC and Sajjad Lone’s People’s Conference recently.

SP-BSP to indulge in shadow boxing with Congress to divide upper caste votes? Newspaper report fuels speculations

A report in the Dainik Jagran has sent political observers in a tizzy with speculations. The report says that Samajwadi Party (SP) and Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) have decided to not form an alliance with Congress in Uttar Pradesh for the 2019 battle, but have still kept the doors open for a post-poll alliance.

According to the report, SP and BSP have already decided their seat-sharing formula with BSP fighting on 38 seats and SP fighting on 37 seats. The report also says that some seats may be given to smaller parties like RLD which is to fight on 3 seats.

The reason for this “split” in the mahagathbandhan, as per the report, is that after winning the neighbouring states, Congress would have bargained to fight on more seats as compared to regional powers. This confirms what we had speculated earlier that none of the regional parties really want to get into an alliance with a strong Congress as Congress is largely seen as a cash cow. A strong or resurgent Congress would mean less stakes for regional powers.

However, what is most telling in the entire report is the fact that SP and BSP both have announced that they won’t be fielding candidates from Gandhi bastions Amethi and Raebareli. Amethi is widely considered to currently be a Rahul Gandhi bastion and Raebareli is considered to be a Sonia Gandhi bastion.

The fact that BSP and SP won’t be fielding candidates for the two seats from which the Gandhis are fighting has confirmed the fact that this breakage of the alliance is not borne out of genuine disenchantment but caste equation compulsions.

It would seem like SP, BSP and Congress are all set to indulge in shadow boxing before the 2019 elections just to enter into a post-poll alliance after the 2019 elections.

For the BSP, the core vote bank is the Dalit faction. For SP the core vote banks are the Yadavs and Muslims. An alliance with Congress whose President, Rahul Gandhi has been sporting a janeu lately could have proven to be electorally catastrophic. The shadow boxing would perhaps serve several purposes. The BSP could consolidate their Dalit votes while SP could consolidate Muslim and Yadav votes. In the meantime, Congress, with its pseudo temple hopping could attempt to pander to the upper caste votes thereby splitting the BJP’s vote share.

Congress has been targetting the upper-caste votes rather consistently in the recent past. One recalls how Shiela Dixit, a Brahmin, was all set to become the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister right before Congress’ alliance with Samajwadi Party and how the Congress drummed up the SC/ST Act rhetoric forcing the BJP’s hand to overturn the SC verdict. The result of this game was evident in Madhya Pradesh where the upper caste got severely disenchanted with the BJP and consolidated to some extent behind Congress.

During the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections the workers of Congress and SP/BSP faced several difficulties in working together since for years, the workers had fought against each other. For 2019, the three parties seem to have gotten wiser and are focussing on keeping up the pretence to join hands after the 2019 elections.

In the coming months, we can certainly expect several comments from SP supremo Akhilesh Yadav and BSP supremo Mayawati against Rahul Gandhi and Congress’ overall strategy to consolidate upper caste votes.

The following statement from Akhilesh Yadav seems to be an example of it.


Akhilesh Yadav was seen embracing Rahul Gandhi and calling him “UP ka ladka” not too long ago during the Assembly Elections of Uttar Pradesh. For him, to now trade barbs with Rahul Gandhi seems too outlandish to be true. It is probably just the beginning of such statements to ensure a credible illusion of the mahagathbandhan lying in shambles. However, as they have already stated, a post-poll alliance is on the cards and one wonders if the electorate will see through this shadow boxing.

Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee has stated yesterday that it is a humanitarian obligation to give refuge to migrants and her state West Bengal will take care of anyone seeking shelter.

Commemorating International Migrant’s day, Mamata Banerjee Tweeted yesterday that West Bengal will take care of migrants to the best of its abilities.


Banerjee also marked Minority Rights Day on Monday. Ironically adding that all people are equal and unity in diversity is a strength, she emphasised that her government has distributed ‘minority scholarships’ to over 1.7 crore students, the highest in the country.


It is notable here that Mamata Banerjee has been vocally critical of the BJP led central government over the NRC final draft published in the state of Assam where over 40 lakh people were not included. The NRC has been prepared as per the Supreme Court’s order to tackle the demographic imbalance in the state following an unchecked influx of illegal immigrants from neighbouring countries.

Mamata Banerjee, known for her minority appeasement policies, had even gone on to say that there will be a civil war and bloodbath if the NRC in Assam is implemented.

Her stand over the Assam NRC has been in stark contrast to her own complaint a few years ago when she had roared in Lok Sabha that illegal immigrants from Bangladesh have created a disaster in West Bengal.

West Bengal has been a constant concern for national security agencies for its porous borders. Millions of illegal Bangladesh immigrants, and in recent times Rohingyas from Myanmar have been able to infiltrate into India without check and many have been able to obtain Indian identity documents with the help of local Muslims. Modules of the Bangladeshi terror group JMB have reportedly also been operational in India after many top terrorists were able to cross the border in West Bengal and obtained help from local Muslims in the state.

In 2016, the central home ministry had informed the Rajya Sabha that over 2 crore illegal immigrants from Bangladesh alone are residing in India. West Bengal is the home for the highest percentage of Bangladeshi squatters.

Kamal Nath has given Congress ecosystem the job of demonizing UP-Bihar, and we can expect this

After fifteen long years, the Congress Party has begun its innings in Madhya Pradesh on a message of hatred towards the people of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Chief Minister Kamal Nath says that migrants from these states are grabbing employment opportunities from the people of Madhya Pradesh and that Kamal Nath, as Chief Minister, will protect the rights of locals.

Another message of division. How long before “Build the wall” becomes an official Congress slogan? Only, in this case, they will be building walls between Indian states. One wall around Karnataka to keep it safe from ‘North Indian imports’. Another wall around Madhya Pradesh to keep out the migrants from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Not to mention walls around areas dominated by specific castes that the Congress is trying to nurture into vote banks: Patidars in Gujarat, Jats in Haryana, Marathas in Maharashtra and Lingayats in Karnataka.

Presumably, the only people who will have an “all-access pass” through these walls will be infiltrators from Bangladesh.

Don’t miss the change of rhetoric from a few months ago. Back then, the whole of the Hindi heartland (derisively called “cow belt”) was the enemy. At that time, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah tweeted saying that PM Modi and CM Yogi were ‘North Indian imports’.

The new enemy is only Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, as evidenced by the utterings of Kamal Nath. The recalibration has been done after the Congress won 3 states across the Hindi heartland. What a coincidence that Uttar Pradesh and Bihar are the two big Hindi speaking states ruled by BJP/NDA.

Just as interesting to observe as the change in Congress rhetoric will be the reaction of two groups that orbit the Congress Party.

The first is that of the Congress allies in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. Where is Lalu Yadav, the man who prides himself on being ‘Bihar ka beta‘? And where exactly is Akhilesh Yadav, who ran an entire campaign on being ‘UP ke ladke‘? And wasn’t Rahul Gandhi himself supposed to be one of the two good boys in ‘UP ke ladke‘? Not to mention Mayawati herself, who has been four-time Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.

All we heard was some faint grumblings from these parties. No real courage of conviction to stand up for the honour of the people of their respective states. And likely for good reason as well. The SP, BSP and RJD are caste-based parties with captive vote banks. They don’t have to actually do anything for their people. Mayawati had boasted in 2016 that members of her caste group worship her as a Devi. Very well.

As for Rahul Gandhi, his UP connection is limited to a family stronghold of Amethi, which has been kept underdeveloped and frozen in time for decades so that the emotional appeal of the Dynasty wins him the seat every single time.

This is how the ‘idea of India’ works. Trap people in these caste, regional and dynastic loyalties and the privileged elite can rule forever.

The second reaction to watch will be that of the Congress camp followers in the liberal ecosystem. Their job is to provide “intellectual” ballast to the positions taken by the Congress Party.

Around the time the Congress was fighting to save Karnataka, the “intellectuals” would produce “scholarship” showing how the Southern states were unfairly carrying the economic burden of the backwardness of the rest of India. For good measure, their job was also to find out and exaggerate examples of “Hindi imposition” and highlight cultural differences between the North and the South.

According to our scholars and intellectuals, the only strands missing in the much vaunted Ganga Jamuni Tehzeeb are the cultural ties that bind Hindus all across India and all across castes into one living civilization.

After the BJP came to power in Maharashtra, we found intellectuals poring through the pages of history trying to find an episode that could be twisted into a caste war. They found one in Bhima-Koregaon where Dalit soldiers fighting for the British had defeated a Maratha army serving the Brahmin Peshwa. The perfect, mouth-watering recipe for a caste cauldron. Intellectuals promptly gathered at the spot and decided to restart the war 200 years after it was fought.

Over the next few months, expect to see many comical results as India’s “intellectuals” adjust their scholarship catch up to the changed line of the Congress Party. Expect to hear about some thousand-year-old war between some king from Bihar and some king from Madhya Pradesh. Expect to see ‘economists’ writing papers on how influx from UP and Bihar is ruining the economy of Madhya Pradesh. These will be published with juicy, provocative headlines on ‘news’ portals.

How long before some ‘scholar’ accuses the ‘North Indian BJP’ of imposing Hindi in Madhya Pradesh? Wait and see, they are going to say this.

Meanwhile, as Tajinder Bagga says, let’s just hope that Kamal Nath doesn’t do to people from UP and Bihar what he did to Sikhs in 1984.

Indian Air Force airlifts record 463 tonnes of cargo to Ladakh in a single wave using 16 aircraft

In an effort to evaluate the ‘Rapid Airlift Capability’ of the Indian Air Force, today a record 463 tonnes of material was airlifted using 16 fixed-wing aircraft from Chandigarh and dropped at airfields and drop zones in Ladakh region on Tuesday.

The 16 aircraft included seven C-17 Globemaster transport planes, while the rest were Ilyushin-76 Gajraj and AN-32 aircraft. The entire operation was completed in less than 6 hours.

The exercise to airlift approximately 500 tones of cargo in a single wave was undertaken to assess the capability of the force towards rapid and heavy airlift. The operation was conducted by Western Air Command of the Indian Air Force.

Air Marshall NJS Dhillon, SASO of Western Air Command, said, “Rapid air mobility is a key component of modern warfare. This assumes greater significance in short and intense wars. This is very true in India’s context, especially when related to air mobility to airfields in the Ladakh region.” The operation was conducted under the command of Dhillon.

The heavy aircraft, including the 7 Globemasters, landed at the Leh Air Force Station in Ladakh, which is located at 10,700 feet from the sea level. The smaller AN-32 planes were used for drops in the forward areas of the region.

The Boeing C-17 Globemaster is a recent addition to Indian Air Force, which is made by American aviation giant Boeing. On the other hand, Ilyushin-76 and AN-32 are Russian aircraft, although the manufacturer of AN-32, Antonov is now a Ukrainian company.

Congress’ “women empowerment”? : FIR on Rahul Gandhi’s close aide Nikhil Alva for sexual harassment

The Congress party may be in a tight spot as another sexual harassment scandal knocks at its door. In an exclusive report, MyNation writes that Rahul Gandhi’s’ close aide, the ‘gatekeeper’ of his Twitter handle and the son of senior Congress leader and former Rajasthan governor Margaret Alva, Nikhil Alva has been charged with stalking and sending vulgar emails, following a complaint lodged by his neighbour.

The FIR lodged with the police on December 4, alleges that Nikhil Alva often sent the victim, vulgar and sexually coloured remarks through e-mails posted publicly on residents’ online groups.

In her police FIR, the 47-year-old complainant said, “Nikhil Alva has wilfully, deliberately, intentionally and maliciously posted emails on various groups with unwelcome sexual overtones using highly inappropriate and grossly offensive language despite a clear indication of disinterest from my side and advice to stop using loose expressions, obnoxious language in the emails.”

She had accused Alva of having sent derogatory emails to her on at least 14 occasions.

Alleging that Alva deliberately “tried to systematically assassinate” her character, the victim said he “abused” her with such expressions as “voyeur, fake, disgraceful, con, liar, manipulative, shrewd, obsessed, incredibly sick, twisted brain and psychotic lady.”

Alva is also accused of having threatened to defame the woman by publishing her emails in a book “Auntyji ki silly aur hasin emails”.

Though the victim confirms of trying to warn Alva of the foul language he was resorting to and that it was not acceptable to her, Alva somehow persisted with his terminology for the victim, claimed the complainant.

In his email exchanges with the victim, Alva can be seen calling the victim “Huggies-ji”, and that he was “very flattered by your obsession with me”, asking her to be a “little subtle”, said the woman.

Though Alva has rubbished the allegations, he has been charged with Section 354 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) that pertains to stalking. He has also been slapped with IPC’s Section 509 which refers to “word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman”.

Reacting to the development, Nikhil Alva claimed that the police complained lodged against him is false, politically motivated and it has no basis. He also alleges that the complaint against him has been filed in response to a complaint he had filed in November alleging financial irregularities in a housing society. He says that the woman is closely associated with the group he had complained against.


Earlier too, an FIR was lodged against one Congress IT cell worker named Chirag Patnaik for sexually harassing a female colleague. In her complaint, the aggrieved woman had reportedly written how the Congress IT cell head, Divya Spandan, had then mentally harassed the victim instead of offering her any support.

The court had then taken cognizance of the case and summoned the accused Chirag Patnaik. Patnaik was arrested in July on the charges of 354A and 509 on accusations of breaching the woman’s personal space and indulging in immoral behaviour. He was later released on bail.

The charge sheet, however, described how Congress social media cell in-charge Divya Spandana had then refused to entertain the complainant’s grave allegations against Chirag Patnaik of frequent misbehaviour.

In October, another sexual harassment case came into light, in which NSUI chief Fairoz Khan had reportedly stepped down from his post following charges of sexual misconduct. NSUI is the student wing of the Indian National Congress.

In fact what could be seen as the biggest irony was when the Congress mouthpiece, National Herald, which was then busy pontificating about the #MeToo movement, audaciously chose not to mention allegations against its own editor.

Almost following Congress’ footsteps, National Herald had been shameless in its conduct by publishing several reports on the wave of women coming out with the sexual harassment tales while keeping quiet on the conduct of their own senior staff.

A Muslim youth who had issued a bomb threat against the residence of Karnataka CM Kumaraswamy has been arrested by the Bangalore police on Tuesday reported News9.

According to the reports, Mansoor, a Muslim youth belonging to Koppal had issued a hoax bomb threat at Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy’s residence at JP Nagar, Bengaluru on December 16.

Interestingly, Mansoor had called the police officials by claiming to be a Hindu. He used the name ‘Gopal’ and had issued a bomb threat at around 09.45 pm on Sunday.

The city police had rushed to the spot with the dog squad to thwart the bomb threat. They had inspected the residence for entire night but did not find any explosive materials around the Chief Minister’s residence. The city police had registered a case and have taken Mansoor into their custody.

Hadiya’s father’s fate awaits all Hindus if they don’t wake up to cultural challenges

As we have reported before, the father of Akhila, the girl who converted to Islam and married Shafin Jehan, recently joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. KM Ashokan, an ex-serviceman, raised some very pertinent issues.

Ashokan said, “I was a Communist Party follower since my childhood. But of late the party is playing dirty vote-bank politics eyeing minority votes. I failed to understand if somebody talks about Hindus he turns communal in no time.”

Like Ashokan, many in recent years have realized the duplicity of the mainstream narrative. Until recently, they had watched silently as their festivals were demonized and their traditions banned. They had observed with stoic silence when the atrocities of cow smugglers were ignored by elites while vigilantism which arose as a reaction to cattle smuggling was used to demonize the entire Hindu community. Anguished, they witnessed the rampant minority appeasement that dominates Indian politics and suffered the consequences of it. And then, the mainstream narrative sought to brand them, bigots, when their daughters and sisters were brainwashed and often kidnapped and raped and converted to Islam by goons.

All of their concerns have been ignored by the mainstream narrative thus far. They were branded communal and evil because they sought to highlight the rampant abuse of their basic human rights. Now, they are disillusioned by the political establishment and powers that be. Like Ashokan, who gave up on communist after the political party ignored his plight, there are countless others who have put their faith on the one party that is alleged to have the concerns of Hindus as their primary interest.

There was, and there is still, a very easy way to deal with this issue. The mainstream narrative needs to address these issues effectively. Love Jihad is real. It is happening in the United Kingdoms, in Pakistan, all over Western Europe and in India obviously. Liberals can choose to ignore this but they so ad their own peril. The mainstream narrative needs to acknowledge its existence and urge governments to deal with this menace effectively. Otherwise, it could spark a reaction that could be very unpleasant.

The mainstream narrative completely ignores the menace of cattle smugglers. The cow is sacred to Hindus. When there exists an organized mafia that steals cows and the representatives of state administration, whether due to their personal vested interests or utter lack of ability to counter it, refuses to deal with it, then vigilantism becomes inevitable. Vigilantism is a consequence of the inability and unwillingness of the state enforce its own laws. Instead of urging state governments to enforce a harsh crackdown on cattle smuggling, the intellectual elite demonizes an entire group of people who are very likely victims themselves. The consequences of such liberal fundamentalism will not be pretty.

The demographic threat that Hindus currently face has been branded a conspiracy theory by the mainstream narrative despite all the evidence that proves it to be true. Liberals continue to bat for Rohingya refugees despite knowing Indian history and the animosity that Rohingyans are known to harbour against Hindus.

The mainstream narrative has continuously ignored the various entities who have decided to wage war against Hindu Dharma. Even recently, the mainstream narrative has completely ignored the fact that the attack on Akshaya Patra, a Hindu organization that feeds hundreds and thousands of children, was driven by NGOs that receive funds from Christian organizations abroad and organizations that have intimate links to ‘Urban Naxals’.

The intellectual elite has resorted to fueling the caste divisions within the Hindu community.  They have been constantly peddling an anti-Brahmin narrative and blaming the community for all of India’s problems. They have also been peddling propaganda against Brahmins that closely resembles the anti-semitic propaganda during the Nazi regime. The consequence of such hate-mongering will be terrible. And liberals may not like the taste of the delicacy they are busy preparing.

A great many Hindus put their hopes on Prime Minister Modi to end the institutional discrimination against them. However, despite Narendra Modi’s resolute adherence to secularism, he has been branded a fascist by the intellectual elite. Many Hindus are looking up towards Narendra Modi for justice, if he fails, they will turn to someone even more extreme in the eyes of liberals.

The Congress party has realized this fact and are looking to appease the Hindu angst by embracing ‘soft Hindutva’. However, if the people discover that their intentions are not sincere, then they will embrace almost anyone who promises them justice. And that someone is pretty much guaranteed to be not as mild as Rahul Gandhi or Narendra Modi.

The denial of the mainstream narrative of Hindu concerns will spiral the country into a hub of communal politics. And if the political dispensation fails to address the concerns of the Hindu community, then the consequences will be extremely severe. It has the potential of unleashing chaos in this country the likes of which we have never seen. Therefore, it is essential that these are addressed.

The political parties must address these issues if they are to contain the chaos of communal politics. However, vote-bank politics work wonder in democracies, therefore, it is not in the interest of any political party to work towards something that has the potential of denting their vote-bank. But, if India has to avert a catastrophe in the near future, then it’s essential that the Indian political class starts addressing these issues honestly.
