Kerala CM praises China and Cuba, accuses the centre of adopting American foreign policy against China

The Communist Party of India is well known for its pro-China stance. However, they have not changed their loyalties even after the Doklam standoff. After the Kerala state secretary of CPIM, Kodiyeri Balakrishnan had given pro-Chinese and anti-US statements, the Chief Minister of Kerala himself has joined the bandwagon.

BJP Thiruvananthapuram district president S Suresh had filed a case of sedition against Kodiyeri Balakrishnan for his remarks. The BJP complaint had suspected that the state secretary of CPIM had got some sort of help from China before he claimed that ‘India has joined league of capitalist countries had been mounting an attack on China.’

The Kerala CM said “In the indirect plots that the US has hatched against China , our country has now taken a pro-America stance and our foreign policy is shaped accordingly. India has adopted a foreign policy that is in line with US foreign policy and which is totally against China.”

The Chief minister made these remarks while inaugurating a delegates meeting at Kannur. In the same meeting he reportedly praised Cuba for its socialist policies and stiff resistance to Cuba. Prior to this the Kerala CM had also praised North Korea for its stiff resistance to USA.
