Muslim man sexually exploits girl while pretending to be Hindu, later asks her to convert and eat beef for marriage

A Muslim youth has been accused of pretending to be a Hindu for getting into a relationship and then sexually exploiting a girl, Jansatta has reported. This incident has come to light from Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh.

As per reports, the girl had met the accused in a gym back in 2014, when he was adorning a tilak on his forehead and wearing a sacred thread on his wrist. After being introduced as Golu, the boy and girl became friends. The report claims that ‘Golu’ later got into a physical relationship with the girl after promising her marriage.

Their relationship kept growing and then the girl gave birth to a daughter even after which the youth kept shying away from the wedding. The girl thus alleged that into the relationship, when she started pressurising him for marriage, she found that Golu was actually Aamir.

As per a Patrika report, Aamir then confessed to being a Muslim and a resident of Azamgarh. It was then claimed that Aamir set the pre-condition that the girl should change her religion and eat beef if she wanted to marry him. The girl, who is believed to be an orphan didn’t fulfil the said demands. Following the birth of their daughter, Aamir lived with the girl for a while but later abandoned her.

Incidentally a Live Hindustan report has added another dimension to the matter by claiming that in April 2016, about two years after the couple met, Aamir went to the girl’s home to force her into a sexual relationship and even recorded a video of the same. The report even claims that the girl was warned against going to the police, failing which he promised to make the video viral on the internet.

This alleged exploitation by Aamir continued and the girl became pregnant and subsequently gave birth on 24 April 2017. Since then for over a year the girl tried to talk him into a marriage but he was adamant that she would first have to convert to Islam, and to ensure it he even brought a Muslim cleric to her home. The conversion doesn’t seem to have gone through.

The girl claims that after her daughter turned a year old and after finding that there was no resolution of the matter, she decided to approach the police.

It has been claimed that apart from threatening her, Aamir also tried to hush up the matter by offering her Rs 20 lakh when it became clear that she was going to approach the police. The girl declined the offer.

Since then the girl has complained to the Inspector General (IG) of police, regarding the matter. Following this, the IG directed police officials to book the accused youth under sections registered for misdemeanour, sexual exploitation and giving death threats. The Patrika report has quoted the local police official as saying that a case of rape will also be lodged against Aamir and that he would be arrested soon.

The girl has asserted that if the police fail to deliver her justice, she would complain to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
