IAS officer who shamed India now blames Indian media for being sceptical about Imran Khan

Shah Faesal, the Kashmiri IAS officer who faced departmental inquiry after expressing disgraceful comments about India has again shared controversial statements about the Indian media for being sceptical about Imran Khan, the newly elected potential Prime Minister of Pakistan.

In a tweet, Faesal has stated that a section of Indian media is shaming India internationally by not appreciating Imran Khan’s statements post his election victory.

Imran Khan’s political party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has won the general election and Khan is all set to become the new PM of Pakistan. However, Khan expressing eagerness for ‘peace talks’ with India is being regarded as a hollow rhetoric since he has been a staunch Taliban apologist in the past. Khan had openly supported designated terrorists and had even advocated for the Taliban to be given diplomatic and political legitimacy. He had even stated that the Taliban’s war in Afganistan is justified by Islamic law.

Faesal, however, is not alone in hailing Imran Khan. A significant section of Indian media, the left-liberals have been singing praises for Khan since he won the elections. They arguably have forgotten that a lot of former Pakistani leaders have expressed the hollow rhetoric of ‘peace talks’ while doing nothing to curb Pakistan-sponsored terrorism and even supporting it.

Faesal’s Tweet saw many reactions from Twitter users calling out his hypocrisy.

In his earlier views too, he had expressed the apologist mindset. In April this year, Faesal had shared a tweet claiming India is a ‘Rapistan’. After that, he had faced a departmental inquiry by the Jammu and Kashmir administration after instruction from the central authorities. Faesal had got defensive and even had victim card when his hypocrisy was called out after his mocking remarks for the departmental letter. Faesal was the first ever Kashmiri to top the Indian civil services examination.

Now, however, he seems to have shed that facade and moving towards openly defaming India while being supportive of terror apologists and hate mongers.
