Accused Saukeen masquerading as a Hindu to police apathy: What the kin of Hindu family assaulted in Delhi’s Mukundpur told OpIndia

On November 5, 2021, a Hindu woman and her 2 minor grandsons were ambushed by a Muslim mob near Nabi Masjid of Bhalswa Dairy area at Mukundpur Part 1, Gali No 13, North Outer Delhi. Police had registered a case under sections 323, 341, 356, 379, 506 and 34 of the IPC against accused Shaukeen, Zaheem, Naeem, Alam and Chhote. A month has passed since the incident and OpIndia again got in touch with the victim’s family, which, in turn, made several startling disclosures about the accused and the police during the course of the conversation.

Accused Saukeen living as a Hindu for last 5 years: Mukundpur victim’s family

One of the victim’s relatives, Seema, told OpIndia that the main accused, Shaukeen, had been residing in the neighbourhood masquerading as a Hindu for almost 5-years now. He runs his business under the name of ‘Bhola Property’. This, she said was also pointed out to the official of the Bhalswa Dairy PS at the time of the incident, but it fell on deaf ears.

Being compelled by police to withdraw the case: Mukundpur victim’s kin alleges

Speaking about the Delhi police’s negligence in addressing their case, Seema told us that the Delhi Police’s attitude towards her family has been quite unpleasant. She said that all the accused had already been granted bail in the case.

Despite being a victim, Seema claimed that the police have been pressuring her family to reconcile. She said that Sub Inspector Sandeep Narwal Kumar, the investigating officer of the case, had been compelling them to withdraw the case against the accused.

In fact, during the altercation on November 5, the police had also threatened one of the victim’s family members by wielding the tap’s handle as a weapon, recalled Seema who added that her family has been mulling to lodge a complaint against the investigating officer and other officials of the Bhalswa Dairy PS as they are not getting their due justice.

Recalling the harassment the Hindus are facing at the hands of the local Muslims, Seema claims that whenever our children go to the grocery store to buy something, they are harassed and even robbed by the accused’s children.

She, however, also confirmed that no other conflict has occurred ever since the November 5 incident.

Hindus stopped from playing Bhajans inside their house, while Muslims continue to use blaring loudspeakers

Seema further criticised the police for doing little to address the growing issue of the loud use of loudspeakers at mosques to offer azaan, which has become a major cause of distress for the Hindus in the neighbourhood.

She claimed that at present there are two mosques in the locality that uses loudspeakers in full volume to offer azaan 5 times a day creating disruption to the locals. “The loudspeaker continues to blare in the ears of the residents, but they are unable to prevent it. Apart from the Mosques, local Muslims have also installed loudspeakers in their houses. However, people are terrified to even raise the issue after the manner in which we were attacked by a Muslim mob,” lamented Seema.

She said that the issue of loudspeakers is not new. Around seven months ago, the local Muslims had stopped them from playing Bhajans on their own music systems inside their houses. She recalled how Aslam, Qasim and their associates had barged into their house and stopped them from playing bhajans.

Following this incident, the angry Hindus of the locality unitedly opposed it and raised the issue of noise from the loudspeaker of the mosque. Thereafter, the Muslims, audaciously, installed 4 loudspeakers instead of 1 at each mosque. Many more loudspeakers were also installed in their homes, exclaimed Seema.

The Mukundpur incident

According to the press note released by the police, Mohammad Shaukeen, Mohammad Umar, Mohammad Zahim and Mohammad Shoaib Alam have been accused in this case. The police got information about this matter on the phone on November 5, 2021, at 7.32 am.

The press note released by the police

The police had said that when they reached the spot they learnt that the younger grandson of the victim Kusum Devi had burst a firecracker in front of the accused’s child when he had gone to a shop to buy milk. This led to an altercation between both parties, claimed the police.

Meanwhile, Kusum Devi had said in her complaint her younger grandson had gone to a shop to buy milk. On the way, two unknown boys started snatching money from him. He came home crying and went back to that place with his 12-year-old elder brother. When these two brothers reached the spot, 3-4 boys who were already present there started misbehaving with both the brothers and started dragging them towards the mosque.

When the family members of both the children came to know about this, they ran towards the spot. The grandmother of the children, Kusum Devi informed that a man working under Bhola Property started quarrelling with her. He assaulted Kusum Devi and the children, and then called 15-20 more people.

Kusum Devi also alleged that the accused snatched her gold ring and earrings during the scuffle.

Police have registered a case under sections 323, 341, 356, 379, 506 and 34 of the IPC and arrested the four accused.

OpIndia attempted to contact Sub Inspector Sandeep Narwal multiple times to know his take on the allegations levelled against the police by the victim’s family but was unable to communicate with him. Meanwhile, ACP Swaroop Nagar said that a thorough investigation was conducted and appropriate action was taken in the case. Law and order situation in the area was brought under control, said the ACP.

Mehbooba says India went from Gandhi’s to Godse’s India because no one wants to fight cases of those who cheered for India’s loss to Pakistan in cricket

PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti while addressing the media has claimed that Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi’s India has turned into Nathuram Godse’s India because no lawyers in India wanted to fight the cases of those people who celebrated India’s loss to Pakistan in the recently concluded T20 World Cup.

Mehbooba Mufti also claimed that during former Prime Minister of India, Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s era, Pakistani people cheered for Indians while Indians too cheered for Pakistan.

She said, “I remember a cricket match between India and Pakistan during Vajpayee ji’s era where citizens of Pakistan were cheering for India and citizens of India were cheering for Pakistan. And former Pak President Pervez Musharraf also praised the then Indian captain MS Dhoni”.

According to Mufti, she saw a cricket match played between India and Pakistan where Pakistani fans had cheered for India and Indian fans cheered for Pakistan. She also mentioned how former Pakistani president Pervez Musharaf had praised former Indian captain, MS Dhoni.

Mufti then went on to talk about the Agra incident where three people were arrested on allegations of raising pro-Pakistan and anti-India slogans during India’ loss to Pakistan at the T20 World Cup.

She said, “…But some days ago in Agra, when some youngsters cheered for the Pak cricket team during a match with India, not a single lawyer is ready to take their case….so it feels like Gandhi’s India is turning into Godse’s India”.

Mufti claimed that Gandhi’s India had become Godse’s India as lawyers no longer want to represent people who cheer for Pakistan.

Notably, cases were also registered against Kashmiri students in Srinagar under the UAPA (Unlawful Activities Prevention Act) and other sections of the IPC for the celebration of Pakistan’s victory against India in the T20 World Cup match. Further, separate cases were registered for incidents that occurred at the hostel of SKIMS hospital in Soura and hostel in Government Medical College (GMC) in Karan Nagar, Srinagar. In Uttar Pradesh, 7 people were booked by the police in 5 districts for raising pro-Pakistan slogans after India’s loss to Pakistan.

‘I stand by my word’: Telangana Congress leader brazens it out after announcing a bounty of Rs 25 lakhs for the beheading of Wasim Rizvi

Days after announcing a bounty of Rs 50 lakh for whoever beheads Wasim Rizvi, Congress MLA Rashed Khan on Tuesday brazened out his stand, asserting that he stands by his words of offering a bounty for the beheading of the former UP Shia Board Chief.

Rashed, who is also the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee Secretary, quoted a tweet about him offering money to whoever beheads Wasim Rizvi and said “I stand by My word”.

The tweet, which was quoted by Rashed Khan also carried a video from what appeared as a Congress office, with posters of Congress and Rahul Gandhi visible in the background. In the video, Khan said he would give Rs 25 lakhs to anyone who decapitates Wasim Rizvi. He also urged the Muslim community to not take the comments made by Rizvi seriously, adding that Allah has himself proclaimed that he would protect the sanctity of the Holy Quran.

‘Holy Quran is sacrosanct and Allah himself has swore to protect it from vandalism’: Rashed Khan

“I would offer Rs 25 lakhs to anyone who slits Wasim Rizvi’s throat. And I would also like to ask my Muslim brethren to not pay heed to what Wasim Rizvi says as Allah has himself said that he would protect the sanctity of the Holy Quran. Not a single word can be replaced or changed from the Holy Quran until Qayamat(Judgement Day). When Allah himself has taken this responsibility, we have nothing to worry about,” Khan said.

It is worth noting that this is not the first time that Rashed is spewing venom against Rizvi and calling for his beheading. On Friday last week, Rashed Khan has called for a bandh in Telangana against Wasim Rizvi and called for his decapitation in the name of Islam and Prophet Muhammad.

Hyderabad Congress leader Feroze Khan announces Rs 50 lakh bounty on Wasim Rizvi’s head

It is also noteworthy to mention that Rashed is not the only one who has announced a bounty on Wasim Rizvi’s head for his views on Islam and the Quran. Earlier yesterday, a 10-day old video started doing the rounds on Twitter in which Hyderabad Congress leader Feroz Khan was heard announcing a Rs 50 lakh bounty for whoever beheads ex-UP Shia Board Chief Wasim Rizvi.

He is heard saying in Hindi which is loosely translated to: “Wasim Rizvi, I have been hearing you for the last four months. You have crossed all limits. Wherever one spots him, kill him. Get his severed head to me and in turn, take Rs 50 lakhs from me. Whoever kills him I will help him fight his case be it in the sessions court, high court or the Supreme court. Everywhere my lawyer would represent you and I will provide you with full support.”

Hurling abuses at him, the Congress leader added that a person like Rizvi has no right to live. “whoever is listening to me I swear by my Allah that I will support you”, Firoz Khan claimed in his video statement.

Wasim Rizvi becomes Jitendra Narayan Swami, reverts to Hinduism

Earlier yesterday, OpIndia reported the former Shia Waqf Board chief Wasim Rizvi, who has been a frequent target of fundamentalists because of his statements, converted to Hinduism in the presence of Mahant Yati Narasinghanand Giri at Dasna Devi temple in Ghaziabad. Rizvi was welcomed back into the faith of his ancestors in a series of rituals, after which he was named Jitendra Narayan Swami.

After converting to Hinduism, Rizvi said, “Mughals have given the tradition of defeating Hindus. Muslims vote unanimously for the party that defeats Hindus. Muslim voters are only for defeating Hindus.” He further added, “I was thrown out of Islam. Every Friday, they announce more rewards for my head. Today I am accepting Sanatan Dharma.”

Watch: US company CEO fires over 900 employees over single Zoom call, cites efficiency, productivity issues

A video has gone viral in which Vishal Garg, the India-origin CEO of a US-based mortgage provider company Better.com has fired around 900 of his employees over a single Zoom call. According to reports, the employees were given the news of their termination without any forewarning, that too just before the holiday season is about to begin in the USA and other parts of the world.

According to reports, the company’s entire diversity, equality, and inclusion team has been laid off, among others.

In the video, that was apparently recorded by an employee and shared online, the CEO Vishal Garg is heard talking to his employees about the layoff.

“If you’re on this call, you are part of the unlucky group that is being laid off. Your employment here is terminated effective immediately,” Garg was heard saying. He added how this wasn’t the first time he was doing this, and that he had cried last time but “hoped to be stronger this time.”

He then said employees could expect an email from HR detailing benefits and severance.

Garg said staff performance and productivity, and market changes was the reason behind the mass-firing of what he said was 15 per cent of Better.com’s workforce. Meanwhile, Garg’s bio claims that Better.com “grew over 400% in 2020 to over $20 bln in annual origination and are growing 3x again in 2021”.

Interestingly, the layoffs were made after the business received a $750 million capital injection from Softbank, its main investor, ahead of its intentions to go public through a SPAC merger with Aurora Acquisition Corp.

Following the viral video, the CEO has been extensively criticised for his insensitive method of breaking the bad news along with being accused of corporate greed.

‘Double engine govt of UP ensures work is done at double-speed’: PM Modi inaugurates fertiliser factory and AIIMS in Gorakhpur

On Tuesday (December 7), Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 3 mega projects with a cost of around ₹10,000 crores in Gorakhpur in eastern Uttar Pradesh. The projects include a regional laboratory of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the All India Institute of Medical Sciences and a fertiliser factory.

Reportedly, the fertiliser factory, which has been rebuilt at a cost of ₹8,603 crore, was non-operational from 1990 to 2014. It was only after the Modi government came to power that the foundation stone for the project was laid. During the occasion, Prime Minister Modi addressed the large gathering of people, that had assembled to celebrate the occasion. “5 years ago, I came to lay the foundation stone of fertiliser factory and AIIMs. Today, I came to inaugurate both. Now, ICMR regional office has a new building.,” he said.

“This is our double engine government, which ensures that work is done at 2x speed. Several fertiliser factories were shut previously. The import of urea was high. The fertiliser was used for purposes other than agriculture, leading to chronic shortage. Farmers even had to endure lathi charge and bullets in search for urea,” he added. PM Modi said that the government adopted three-pronged measures to ensure the availability of urea.

The government prevented the use of urea for non-agricultural purposes through its coating with neem. He said that the government also focused on resuming services in shut factories and channelised energy in urea production. He said that soil health cards had been issued to farmers to determine the kind of fertilisers required for their agricultural land. PM Modi added that the Gorakhpur fertiliser plant will not only help in the generation of urea but also lead to employment opportunities in Purvanchal and the development of Gorakhpur.

Modi hai to mumkin hai: Yogi Adityanath in Gorakpur

“Modi hai to mumkin hai, PM Modi has made possible what the previous governments so far believed was impossible”, said Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath as he welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi to his home turf Gorakhpur on Tuesday. Yogi said that the arrival of PM Modi in Gorakhpur will fulfil the aspirations of eastern UP that were neglected by the failures of the previous governments. Hailing PM Modi’s leadership, CM Yogi said that 5 governments came and went to UP in the last 30 years, only the BJP govt had the courage to revive this fertilizer factory in Gorakhpur.

Lauding the Prime Minister’s resolution to make India Aatmanirbhar (self-reliant), Yogi Adityanath said that in 2016 PM Modi had laid the foundation stone of this fertilizer factory in Gorakhpur. Prior to that the factory had been lying shut for more than 30 years and none of the governments in Uttar Pradesh bothered about it. After PM Modi came to power in 2014, he not only made all possible efforts to revive it but made sure that the revived plant is four times bigger than what it was until it was shut in 1990.

Speaking about the development of health infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh under the Modi regime, CM Yogi said that prior to 2014, there was only one medical college in Gorakhpur and 12 in the state. Now, there are medical colleges in 59 districts of UP and the process of setting up medical colleges in other districts is also underway.

‘If you don’t change, there will be changes,’ PM Modi asks fellow MPs to be regular in attending Parliament and meetings

In a BJP Parliamentary meeting held on Tuesday, Prime Minister Modi has warned the fellow BJP MPs on the issue of shortage of attendances and asked them to change themselves or ‘face changes’, according to reports.

PM Modi said, “Please be regular in attending Parliament and meetings. It is not good for me to continuously stress about this (and treat you) like children. If you don’t change yourself, there will be changes in due course,”

In a bid to motivate the MPs, the Prime Minister urged them to do Surya Namaskar and engage themselves in a competition of attendance. PM Modi said, “Do Surya Namaskar and participate in this competition [of attendance], it will keep everyone healthy.”

Notably, the meeting took place at the Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi. It was for the first time that the meeting was held outside the Parliament complex and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi mentioned that PM Modi had instructed the MPs to organize sports competitions in their respective constituencies.

Earlier the Rajya Sabha had suspended 12 MPs that included Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi and Trinamool MP Dola Sen for misconduct and unruly behaviour in the house. Later, the Chairman of Rajya Sabha, M. Venkaiah Naidu rejected opposition’s appeal to revoke the suspension of 12 MPs saying that the suspended MPs had not issued an apology and were instead justifying their behaviour.

‘Operations carried out by Chinese hacker groups may be linked to China’s geopolitical objectives’: Microsoft issues statement after seizing 42 malicious sites

0

In a blog post, Microsoft’s Corporate Vice President for Customer Security and Trust Tom Burt announced the disruption of a China-based hacking group that targeted firms in the United States and 28 other countries across the world. Burt confirmed, that as part of the crackdown, the tech giant has used a court order to seize as many as 42 malicious web domains used by this China-based hacking group called Nickel or APT15. Traffic from these websites is now routed to computer servers controlled by Microsoft.

“The Microsoft Digital Crimes Unit (DCU) has disrupted the activities of a China-based hacking group that we call Nickel. In documents that were unsealed today, a federal court in Virginia has granted our request to seize websites Nickel was using to attack organizations in the United States and 28 other countries around the world, enabling us to cut off Nickel’s access to its victims and prevent the websites from being used to execute attacks,” Burt said on Monday.

Microsoft said it had been tracking Nickel since 2016 and had found that its “highly sophisticated” attacks intended to install unobtrusive malware that allowed for surveillance and data theft.

Burt stated that Microsoft believes Nickel’s attacks on organisations spread across 29 countries were carried out to gather intelligence for government agencies, think tanks, and human rights organisations.

They’ve attacked public and private institutions all across the world, including diplomatic missions and ministries. Microsoft added that these attacks are believed to be linked to China’s geopolitical objectives.

Though Microsoft did not name the organizations that had been targeted, it said that the Chinese hackers have a history of attempting to steal sensitive material from diplomatic organisations and foreign affairs ministries in North and South America, Europe, and Africa.

Taking control of the malicious websites and transferring traffic to Microsoft’s protected servers will let the business better safeguard current and prospective victims while also learning more about Nickel’s operations, said the tech giant.

Microsoft mail server cyber software attack a handiwork of China-backed hackers: USA

It is pertinent to note here that America had attributed the Microsoft mail server cyber software attack earlier this year, to the China-backed hackers. The brazen cyber attack on the Microsoft Exchange became public in March this year. It is believed to have hit at least 30,000 American organizations and hundreds of thousands more worldwide.

According to Microsoft’s Threat Intelligence Centre, the cyber-group named Hafnium, a group of hackers on the Chinese state payroll, was responsible for the attack on Microsoft. A senior official in the White House told reporters in a briefing during the weekend that the US government had “high confidence” that the Exchange hackers were being paid by the Chinese government.

Chinese hackers attack Mumbai’s power grid

It may be recalled that last year in October, Mumbai and suburban areas had witnessed a power outage because of a grid failure bringing the city, including its local trains, to a complete halt. The power outage that occurred across Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai was suspected to be the handiwork of the Chinese, who wanted to launch a widespread cyber campaign against India’s power grid to send a message that “if India pushed too hard, the light could go out”.

The Mumbai blackout had come just a few months after Chinese and Indian troops had clashed in Galwan Valley. The India China standoff had lasted months and had caused casualties on both sides.

In March this year, the Centre had, however, confirmed that no data breach was breached during the attempt made by Chinese hackers to target the country’s power grid system. The Power Ministry also said that there had been no impact from the alleged Chinese hacking attempt against India’s power grid system.

‘If not Mathura, then Lahore?’ UP minister calls for reclamation of the Krishna Janmabhoomi

After deputy CM of Uttar Pradesh Keshav Prasad Maurya tweeted that preparations for a grand Krishna temple at Mathura are underway, cabinet minister Chaudhary Laxmi Narayan Singh has declared that a grand Krishna temple could only be built in Mathura and it is but obvious that the birthplace of Sri Krishna has a grand temple for him. Narayan Singh also stated that Lord Krishna’s temple will be built in Mathura only and not in Lahore or Rawalpindi.

Singh said, “Bhagwan Krishna ka mandir yadi Mathura me nahi banega… to Lahore or Rawalpindi me thode hi banega… (If Lord Krishna’s temple is not constructed in Mathura, will it be made in Lahore or Rawalpindi),”

The minister further stated that it was just a matter of time before a grand Krishna temple was constructed in Mathura, he said, “The question now is when will it (the Krishna temple) be built? Earlier, the same question was raised in connection with the Ram temple in Ayodhya.”

Singh mentioned that UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will himself announce the construction of the Krishna Temple in Mathura at the right moment. He said, “Construction of the Krishna temple will be started the way the Ram mandir in Ayodhya was started.”

According to Singh, people opposing the construction of such a temple in Mathura should get their DNA verified which would eventually prove that they are also the descendants of Sri Krishna.

Heavy security at Mathura

Notably, heavy security was put in place at Mathura on Monday, December 6, the anniversary of the Babri structure demolition. An additional force of 3000 policemen was deployed and section 144 was imposed after a right-wing group said it wanted to install an idol of Krishna at the Shahi Idgah on December 6.

Furthermore, Ballia MP Ravindra Kushwaha had earlier said, “When the Modi government can repeal the farm laws keeping in mind protests by farmers, it can also withdraw the Places of Worship (Special Provisions) Act, 1991 to pave way for construction of a grand temple at Krishna Janambhoomi in Mathura.”

Here it should be noted that Keshav Prasad Maurya, Deputy CM of Uttar Pradesh had tweeted a few days ago that preparations for a grand Krishna Temple at the Krishna Janmabhoomi Mathura would be initiated soon.

Mathura is the birthplace of Sri Krishna. The old Keshavnath temple was demolished by Mughal emperor Aurangzeb and the Shahi Idgah was built on top of the Krisha Janmabhoomi in 1669. The current Krishna temple in Mathura was built later on an adjacent piece of land.

Pakistani journalist goes on an anti-Hindu rant on BSF Raising Day celebration

0

On December 6, Pakistani Journalist Durdana Najam who writes columns for Arab News Pakistan, The Express Tribune and Roznama 92 News, went on an anti-Hindu rant on Twitter. In a tweet, Najam said, “So what, start worshipping Dogs. It would be a good addition to the list of animals you Hindus worship…from snake to monkey to elephant to rat and not to forget the sewerage laden waters of Ganga.”

Durdana’s tweet

Najam was quoting an alleged defence consultant Danvir Singh who had ranted against a K9 officer as he was presenting flowers to Union Home Minister Amit Shah during BSF Raising Day Parade at Jaisalmer Rajasthan. In his tweet, Singh alleged the K9 officer would have gone through abuse while training for acts like presenting flowers to a guest. While many refuted Singh’s claims and said their dogs were trained by Police and BSF trainers, a few like Najam took advantage of the situation and used Singh’s tweet to propagate the anti-Hindu narrative.

Most of the time when Najam talked about Hindus or India, she used derogatory and offensive language. In a November 7 tweet, Najam alleged the courts in India acquitted main suspects of Gujarat riots and claimed it was genocide against Muslims. She conveniently forgot that 59 Kar Sewaks were burnt alive by a Muslim mob in Godhra that had led to the riots.

In an October tweet, she called PM Modi a terrorist.

In another tweet from September 2021, she alleged Hindus linked to RSS molest women in Kashmir. Interestingly, she might have skipped the lesson from the history where Kashmiri Pandits were forced to leave the valley or face death at the hand of Islamists backed by Pakistan.

Dogs are already worshipped in Hinduism

Interestingly, while Najam sarcastically asked Hindus to start worshipping dogs, she does not know that Hindus already worship dogs. There is a special Hindu festival of Dogs in Nepal known as Kukur Tihar, in which dogs are honoured and worshipped.

Dogs hold a special place in stories linked to the Sanatan Dharma like of Mahabharata. As per the epic, Pandav king Yudhisthir had a dog which accompanied the Pandavas on their last journey to Heaven. Towards the end, only the dog was left with Yudhistir, and the rest of the Pandavas had lost their lives on the way. When Bhagwan Yama asked Yudhisthir to leave the dog behind, he refused to do so and said he would enter Heaven only if Yama allowed the dog to accompany him.

According to legends, Bhagwan Dattatreya, who is believed to be the collective incarnation of Trimurti or Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh, is often surrounded by dogs and a cow. The four dogs, who always accompanied him in the paintings, are believed to be the symbol of four Vedas, and the cow symbolises mother earth. Some stories suggest the four dogs represent four inner forces of human nature that are Iccha, Vasana, Asha and Trishna.

Dog (Shvan) is also believed to be the mount of Bhagwan Bhairav.

Yama, the God of death, is believed to have two dogs, Shyama and Sharvana, who guard the doors of hell. Notably, Shyama and Sharvana were four-eyed dogs and sons of Dog deity Sarama who is believed to be the mother of all dogs, in particular the two dogs who guard the gates of hell.

In some sections of Nath Sampraday, dogs are considered to be ‘Darvesh’ or the one who comes at your door for ‘Bhiksha’. Many localised rituals in Hinduism are linked to feeding dogs on auspicious days as well as during the month of Shraadh.
