IFS officer from Odisha Abhay Pathak, facing a disproportionate asset case, has been arrested by the vigilance department of the state. Along with him, his son Akash was also arrested, who is accused of impersonating the MD of Tata Motors.
Following the arrest, the Odisha government suspended the 1987-batch IFS officer, who is working as the additional principal chief conservator of forests (plan, programme and afforestation) of Odisha since June 2018. The father-son duo was remanded to judicial custody till December 9 after the arrest.
The arrests were made after a large-scale raid by the vigilance department involving 150 officers and staff of the anti-corruption wing. The sleuths had simultaneously raided five places in Bhubaneshwar, seven places in Mumbai and Pune, and some regions of Bihar and Rajasthan in the last few days.
The raids revealed that Abhay Pathak has accumulated unimaginable wealth over the years. During the raid at Pathak’s house, the Vigilance department had found evidence of cash deposits amounting to Rs 9.4 crore in the bank accounts of Pathak’s son Akash. Rs 60 lakh in cash was also recovered during the searches.
In addition to the cash, gold ornaments weighing 800 grams was also found during the searches. The anti-corruption wing has also found documents related to purchase of gold ornaments worth Rs 23 lakh by Pathak’s family.
His son Akash Pathak expensive vehicles like Mercedes, BMW and Tata Harrier as well as high-end bikes such as Yamaha FZS motorcycles.
The raids also had revealed that the Pathak family had hired chartered planes for 20 trips during the lockdown period and have spent upwards Rs 4.5 crores on the flights alone.
The vigilance officials also recovered bills of more than 90 lakhs paid at Hotel Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai and advance booking amount of Rs.20 lakh at Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur in Rajasthan. The lavish apartment building at Bhubaneswar had Italian marble flooring, ivory furniture and other luxuries. The Pathak family owns several high-end luxury cars and had hired private security with expensive salaries for personal bodyguards.
The assets recovered from Pathak amounts to around 435% of his know sources of income. Following the raids, a case under several sections of the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018, has been registered against the officer, and accordingly he was arrested along with his son.
After the raids, Abhay Pathak had denied corruption allegations. He had claimed that his son gets a salary of Rs 1 crore per month, and that’s how they have so much property.
Son accused in forgery and impersonation case
Pathak’s son Akash had been named in a crime branch FIR in May for alleged forgery and fraud. Tata Motors had filed an FIR alleging that Akash has been pretending to be an MD at the company and cheating people, promising them jobs. He had also donated Rs 5 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund in April this year allegedly posing as MD of Tata Motor’s Transport Division. After the donation, the matter came to light and Tata Motors filed a complaint against him, after which an investigation was launched.
The biggest problem in today’s world is terrorism, many political leaders acknowledge. The strange thing is that they close their eyes to the root cause. This closing of eyes is seen as politically correct. Naturally, there is little chance to improve things but it’s likely to get worse.
If someone commits an act of terror, he must be motivated. Yet this motivation is ignored, because in most terror cases in our times, terror is connected with Islam, and if someone hints at this fact, he is promptly accused of Islamophobia. Yet Christianity also used terror in earlier times.
In fact, Christianity was the first to make the unsubstantiated claim that God has given the full truth only to the Church and everyone must believe it at the cost of their lives. And Islam followed with a similar claim. Terrorism in the name of God started right then, by forcing “those who are wrong” into the “right” faith or killing them. Millions of people were killed – from America to India and beyond. In history lessons, Christianity and Islam were mentioned together with communism, fascism and Nazism in having caused the maximum number of human beings murdered.
In primary school, I learnt that Islam expanded through “fire and sword”. It was a meaningless phrase for me as a child. Only later, it dawned that it involved tremendous cruelty. This cruelty was not restricted to Islam. The Christian ‘expansion’ and the Inquisition were equally brutal. Indians experienced it firsthand for example in Goa.
In the 1970s, at University, we debated why religion has caused so much bloodshed. The debate was on ‘why’ not on ‘if’.
In 2000, a change in this approach became apparent. When Pope John Paul II finally acknowledged the cruelty of the Inquisition and asked forgiveness from God, he did not blame the Church but ‘sons and daughters of the Church’ who committed ‘mistakes’. He tried to absolve the religion and laid the blame on ‘misguided’ followers.
This same pattern is followed today regarding Islam. When Jihadis attack innocent citizens shouting ‘Allah ho Akbar’, politicians, Muslim representatives and media declare that those terror acts have nothing to do with Islam but are the handiwork of misguided or deranged individuals.
The reaction is so predictable: “The attack is shocking, revulsive, a cowardly act, but we stand united, won’t be intimidated. We won’t let them win”, etc.
Then in major cities (provided the attack happened in the west), a landmark building is lit up in the colours of the country where the attack happened, candles are lit.
We have gone through these motions far too often and there is something fake about it. The pain of those affected is real. Others may be grateful that it had not hit them – at least not this time. Yet those, who are supposed to protect us, are not honest.
True, the attacks are shocking and revulsive, but they are not cowardly acts. The Jihadi kills because he is convinced that it is his duty to kill kafirs – and he is even ready to die in doing what he feels is right. This shows courage. Almost all terrorists are young. It is not normal, nor easy to risk one’s life by killing others, unless he is absolutely convinced that the benefit is greater than the cost.
And what does he expect as benefit?
Probably he was taught already as a kid or has read it later on the internet that killing Kafirs pleases his God. By doing so, he can make his life truly worthwhile, and he will be richly rewarded: he will have a better status in paradise than those who did not kill Kafirs.
Now here is where we Kafirs are either cowards or ignorant. We don’t dare to point to passages in the Quran, which support his expectation, for example, Q 4.95 and ask what it means if not what is written there.

They have special higher ranks, forgiveness and mercy. Allah is forgiving, merciful” (Q4. 95-96).
Imagine a young, hot-headed Muslim reads this – would he not be inspired to make his life “worthwhile”? Even more so, if he has phantasies of becoming a hero with a gun? He probably considers dying as the price for greater glory. As Sultan Shahin once pointed out, children in madrasas sing songs with the refrain “zindagi shuru hoti hai qubr mein” (life starts in the grave).
Curiously, old, sick Muslims don’t seem to be interested in the “higher status in paradise” when it would make much more sense for them. Does it mean, they are more mature and know that the Quran must not be taken literally?
Is it not their and our duty, to save not only the potential victims of future terror attacks but also the young Muslims who are ready to throw away their lives for a promise which in all likelihood won’t be kept? After all, Christianity also claims that only those who are baptized can enter heaven. A comment to one of my tweets recently read: “I don’t understand why those religions portray their God-like underworld dons. ‘If you leave our gang, if you are no follower of this God, then you will be fried in hot oil in hell’”.
Can a merciful Supreme Being behave like a jilted lover who gives hell to those who love him under another name?
We need to ask probing questions. Those must include the question: why is it that in areas where Muslims have become the majority, the number of minorities keeps dwindling till they become almost non-existent?
Yes, it is difficult to believe that terror attacks have anything to do with religion. Religion is understood to be something good. It is meant to connect us with the Highest and to make us better human beings. We want to believe that the cause for terror attacks is something else. ‘All religions worship the same one, God. No religion can condone killing others’, most of us will say. But is it true?
We need to find out. If we don’t dare to do this, we are cowards.
Let’s imagine we discover that there are indeed passages in the Islamic texts that condone terror against infidels, what will be the next step?
Then we need to bring in common sense and debate on the meaning of life and enquire into the absolute truth. India has the knowledge and must take the lead in this, because the Christian west is handicapped. Both, Islam and Christianity, divide humanity into ‘us versus the rest’. Instead, another dividing line must be drawn: It is the line between humanity and inhumanity.
Terror and hatred for other human beings is inhumanity. How do we know? Because we all have a conscience which tells us what is right and what is wrong. Right is dharmic and wrong is adharmic. Hinduism is based on Dharma and that’s why Hindus can never cause terror in the name of God. Our conscience is the voice of Dharma which guides us through life. If we listen to it, we realize that the whole of humanity is one family. The life in all of us comes from the same, most powerful yet invisible, source.
Religions which demand that we ignore our conscience and instead believe blindly what they tell us, have an agenda. They want sheep who don’t think for themselves and who can be used for their own purpose.
Suicide bombers are not cowards, but they are not smart. They got the purpose of life wrong and they won’t be rewarded for it.
Just as pro-Khalistan elements are trying to hijack the ongoing ‘farmers protests’, radical Islamic organisation Popular Front of India (PFI) has extended its support to the farmer protest, opposing the passing of three farm laws by the Modi government.
On Saturday, radical Islamic organisation Popular Front of India, accused of instigating riots and violence across various parts of the country expressed its support to farmers’ protests and called the protestors to struggle to preserve the constitution.
Taking to Twitter, PFI posted a video asking people to unite against the ‘fascist laws’ by the Modi government.

OMA Salam, the chairman of Popular Front of India also announced that his Islamic organisation will support the ‘Delhi Chalo’ march and added that he stood by demands of the farmers. He claimed that the new farm laws will make the life of farmers worse.
PFI support to the farmer protest comes at the backdrop of Khalistani interference
The support by PFI to the ‘farmers protests’ along the Haryana-Punjab border comes at a time there are efforts by pro-Khalistan groups to hijack farmer protests. It was earlier reported how the farmer protests are being hijacked by several Khalistani elements, posing a great risk for the security apparatus of the country.
Similarly, pro-Khalistan and anti-Indian slogans have also been raised during the ‘farmer protest’ along the Haryana-Punjab border. A few Khalistani terror sympathisers disguised as farmers were caught gloating over the assassination of the former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, who also threatened PM Modi with a similar fate if their demands went unfulfilled.
Not just Khalistan groups, even Islamic organisations and left-wing elements have also attempted to take control of the farmer protests by fanning these protestors to continue to protest against the Modi government. The Congress parties links to inciting the so-called protestors have also emerged.
PFI has a history of propagating violence
The PFI has a history of committing violence to further the cause of Radical Islam. Their members have come under the scanner on several cases of violence. During the investigation into the Anti-Hindu Delhi Riots and the violence across the country in the wake of the Citizenship Amendment Act, the role of PFI has been suspected and numerous members of the PFI have been arrested for their involvement in the riots.
The radical Islamic organisations like PFI and SIMI are notoriously known for funding various anti-national activities. Last year in December, during the anti-CAA protests that had literally engulfed the entire country, an Intelligence report shared with the Ministry of Home Affairs had pointed to some ‘political parties’ and banned radical Islamist outfits like SIMI and PFI for being behind the violent protests in several places across the country.
The members of radical Islamic organisations – Popular Front of India (PFI) and its political front, Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) were involved in instigating Muslim mobs to indulge in violence across the state during the anti-CAA protests. The UP police had advocated a ban on PFI after the widespread violence in the state.
Not just in Uttar Pradesh, the PFI had played a role even in the Bengaluru riots recently. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) had named SDPI leader Muzamil Pasha for ‘instigating the mob’ to unleash violence on the streets of east Bengaluru. The Muslim mob had attacked and torched down two police station and also the residence of Congress MLA Akhanda Srinivasamurthy.
The NIA had also found many incriminating documents and materials related to the radical Muslim organisations Socialist Democratic Party of India (SDPI) and Popular Front of India (PFI), informed the NIA in a statement released by them.
Just recently, the Uttar Pradesh had arrested four people associated with radical Islamic organisations Popular Front of India (PFI) for planning to cause caste-based unrest in the state. Kerala ‘journalist’ Siddique Kappan, who is an office-bearer of the Islamist organisation Popular Front of India (PFI), was nabbed by the UP police. The fake journalist was on his way to Hathras to create caste conflict after Hathras incident.
Ahead of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation(GHMC) elections, the police have booked AIMIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi and the President of the Telangana BJP, Bandi Sanjay Kumar.
Both the politicians have been charged under Section 505 of the Indian Penal Code which pertains to making statements conducing to public mischief. The suo moto cases against the two leaders were filed at SR Nagar Station for allegedly making inflammatory statements on the hustings of the GHMC polls.
The development comes after a massive political outrage was triggered following Akbaruddin Owaisi’s speech on November 25 during which he asked the government to remove PV Narasimha Rao ghat and NTR ghat near Hussainsagar before removing the encroachments of the poor.
In response to this provocative remark, BJP state president Sanjay said that if any of the two ghats mentioned by Akbaruddin is touched, Darusalam, where the AIMIM party office is located, will be targeted.
Following this verbal, DGP M Mahender Reddy, during a press conference a couple of days ago, stated that the police is scrutinising the provocative statements made by various politicians during the election campaign and legal advise was being consulted before initiating action.
Akbaruddin Owaisi has a history of courting controversies
It is important to note that Akbaruddin Owaisi has a history of ginning up public frenzy by making controversial and highly inflammatory statements. In the past, Akbaruddin had sought 15 minutes from the police to show Hindus their place.
In his controversial remark made in 2013, the junior Owaisi had said that if police is removed for 15 minutes, “we (Muslims) will finish 100 crore Hindus”. Owaisi, a polarising figure in India’s political arena, also made a speech in which he insulted the pantheon of the Hindu Gods and poured scorn over Hinduism.

The GHMC polls are scheduled to happen on December 1 while the results will be announced on December 4. Last time around, the TRS bagged 99 of the total 150 divisions, while the AIMIM won 44 and the BJP came a distant third with just 4 victories.

A Hawala ring worth Rs1000 crore reportedly being run by the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China has been traced by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). According to Times Now, the Chinese agents were receiving assistance from deep-rooted Pakistani spy ring to establish their networks in India.

Earlier in 2018, Delhi police had arrested a person named Luo Sang, aka Charlie Peng, who was suspected to be an agent of Chinese intelligence, the Ministry of State Security (MSS), on the charges of espionage.

In the major crackdown on the Hawala racket operating in Delhi-NCR, it was revealed that that Sang had created fake Indian identity of Charlie Peng through forged Aadhaar cards and travel documents. According to the report, he was first sent to Nepal where he received training in money exchange, hawala operations and accounts after which he came to India. Sang was reportedly collecting information on whereabouts of important Tibetan refugees and people close to Dalai Lama in India.
Sang had married an Indian woman in Manipur
In September 2018, when Sang was arrested by a Special Cell of Delhi police on allegations of running a spy network in India, forged Indian passport was recovered from his possession that he had procured from Manipur. Sang revealed during interrogation that he had entered India in 2013 and settled in Manipur. He told that he married an Indian woman in Manipur and the couple had rented an accommodation where they lived a few years before moving to Delhi.
It was revealed during the investigation that Sang had created over 40 bank accounts linked to multiple shell companies. The hawala operations were linked to transactions of more than Rs 1000 crore. In a shoddy attempt to internationalise India’s internal matter, an Indo-Canadian politician, Gurratan Singh, raked up the ongoing ‘farmers’ protest in New Delhi and surrounding region in the Ontario Legislative Assembly and urged the Canadian legislators to stand against what he termed as “unjust” laws by the Indian government.
Gurratan Singh was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario in the 2018 provincial election. He represents the riding of Brampton East as a member of the Ontario New Democratic Party. Interestingly, he is the brother of federal New Democratic Party leader Jagmeet Singh.
Singh shared the video of the speech made by him in the Ontario Assembly in a tweet posted by him.
“The Indian govt’s use of water cannons and tear gas on farmers protesting mass privatization of the agricultural sector and unjust reform of farming laws is appalling. They deserve respect for feeding the nation instead of being subjected to state brutality,” Singh tweeted along with the video of his speech.

“Farmers are the backbone of our society. They feed cities, and right now they are under attack in India. Folks in my riding are concerned about new laws that are passed by the Indian government that are going to hurt the farmers in Punjab, Haryana and others across India. That’s why I am asking all the members of this House to come together to stand with farmers against these unjust laws passed by the Indian government, so farmers in India can live with respect and dignity that they deserve,” Singh declaimed.
Singh was referring to the protests that have swept regions surrounding the national capital of India, allegedly by the farmers. In doing so, the Canadian politician has sought to internationalise an issue that lies strictly within the ambit of India’s internal affairs.
The farm bills passed by the Indian Government aimed to remove the middlemen from the sale and purchase of the produce, thereby profoundly benefitting farmers. But perverse individuals and political parties with vested interests, have glossed over these benefits to fear-monger about the legislations and sow seeds of doubts and apprehensions in the minds of unsuspecting farmers.
Who is Jagmeet Singh, the brother of Gurratan Singh
Jagmeet Singh, also known as Jimmy Dhaliwal, was born in 1979 to immigrant Indian parents in Canada. A lawyer-turned-politician, Singh is currently serving as leader of the New Democratic Party (NDP) since 2017 and as a Member of Parliament since 2019.
However, Jagdeep Singh is known for his support for Khalistani terrorists and has openly voiced his support for the anti-Indian Khalistanis in Canada, earning him the tag of being ‘Pro-Khalistan’.
In 2019, the controversial Canadian lawmaker Jagmeet Singh was under the radar of Indian Intelligence agencies for not only sheltering pro-Khalistani sympathisers in Canada but also for leading an anti-Indian movement more vociferously in the Americas, especially after the abrogation of Article 370.
According to the dossier prepared by the Indian intelligence officials, Jagmeet Singh, the Leader of Canada’s second-largest party, remains a ”pro-Khalistani and a pro-Pakistani” ringleader in the country despite his deep Punjabi roots.
On a specific report of India’s external intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing, Singh was denied a visa in 2013 for his anti-Indian stance. The RAW has revealed in one its report that Singh had been funding Khalistani outfits, operating from Pakistan. He is also connected with prominent Khalistani and Kashmiri separatist groups based in different countries of Europe.
Reports also suggest that Jagmeet Singh is also trying to bring Khalistani and Kashmiri separatists under one umbrella in Canada. Recently he held a meeting in this connection at his residence in Ontario.
After failing to internationalise Article 370, CAA, propagandists seek to internationalise farm protests
A vile attempt to tarnish India’s image and pressurise the Indian government into revoking its decision was carried out after the passage of the enactment of the Citizenship Amendment Act that provisioned fast track pathway for the persecuted minorities from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan to apply for India’s citizenship.
The CAA detractors attempted to internationalise the issue, following which at least six US cities, having no bearing on India’s parliament, presumptuously moved to pass resolutions denouncing the Citizenship Amendment Act(CAA) and the National Register of Citizens(NRC). A similar attempt to internationalise the internal matter of the abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir was also attempted. However, the Indian government did not budge to the pressure and steadfastly remained committed to its decisions.
It appears that Singh is trying to pull off a similar feat by dredging up the issue of ‘farmers’ protests in Canadian Legislative Assembly.
Congress orchestrated ‘farmer’ protests saw participation from pro-Khalistan supporters
It is notable to mention that in his speech Singh did not mention about the protests being orchestrated by the principal opposition party, Congress, against the Modi government. The Congress leaders, Rahul Gandhi and Shashi Tharoor, have gone so far as to peddle anti-Modi propaganda by sharing a cunningly edited picture to allege that the current dispensation has sanctioned the use of brute force to quell the protests.
In addition to this, Singh has also been economical with truth in the Canadian Legislative Assembly. The mention of pro-Khalistan supporters marking the ‘farm’ protests was conspicuous from its absence in Singh’s speech.
Posters of Khalistani proponent Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale were seen on more occasions than one during the several blockades carried out by the demonstrators in Punjab. In one of the videos that have gone viral on the social media websites, a protesters was seen gloating over the assassination of the former PM Indira Gandhi and threatening PM Modi with a similar fate.
The ever-changing population demographics of West Bengal has been a matter of concern for the Hindu population in the State. With a low birth rate, coupled with mass infiltration of illegal Muslim immigrants from the neighbouring country of Bangladesh, Hindus have already been outnumbered in Murshidabad, Malda and Uttar Dinajpur districts.
Now, in an undated video, Islamic cleric Peerzada Abbas Siddiqui has revealed that Muslims constitute the majority in the State of West Bengal. “This is Bengal. We (Muslims) are not minorities here. We are the majority here. Keep this in mind. We have a 35% population in the State,” he emphasised. Siddiqui also claimed that such a thing was possible as Adivasis, Matuas and Dalits did not fall into the Hindu fold. “We are the majority here,” he reiterated.

As per 2011 Census data, Muslims constitute around 27% of the population in West Bengal. According to Siddiqui, the Muslim population in the State has increased by 8% to 35% in the past 9 years. In 2015, the Times of India reported that if the growth of Hindu population declined by 0.9% in India, then, it was 1.9% in West Bengal. On the contrary, if the Muslim population increased by 0.8% in the country, then their population in West Bengal grew by 1.77%.
“If we do not come to power next time, they (Hindus) will rape our women in front of our eyes. Do you understand? You cannot do anything if you do not have power in your hands,” Siddiqui was seen fear-mongering at a public rally.
It is important to note that Siddiqui is planning to enter politics. According to reports, Asaduddin Owaisi’s All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) will ally with Siddiqui’s group in the upcoming assembly elections in West Bengal. AIMIM will contest elections in the state for the first time, and it will be benefited by the existing grassroot support that Siddiqui enjoys.

May Allah send a virus that kills 50 crores Indians, prayed cleric
With dozens of videos on TikTok featuring Muslims claiming that Coronavirus can’t do any harm to them as they regularly pray to their God, a video of Siddiqui was circulating on social media, in which he demanded a virus from Allah that could kill 50 crore people in India in one go. In this video, the maulana was saying in Bengali, referring to riots in Delhi- “recently I have got the news that mosques are being set on fire, mosques are being burnt for the last two days. I think something is going to happen within a month. May Allah accept our prayers. May Allah send such a terrible virus to India that ten to twenty to fifty crore people die in India. Am I saying something wrong? It is absolutely blissful.” After that, the crowd present there applauds his statement.
Peerzada Abbas Siddiqui threatened to block Kolkata airport
Earlier, Abbas Siddiqui had threatened to block Kolkata airport if the Citizenship (Amendment) Act is not revoked. Claiming that the citizenship law is unfair to the Muslim population of the country, the cleric, Abbas Siddiqui from Furfura Sharif, in Jangipara, Hoogly, West Bengal, urged Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to either move Supreme Court challenging the contentious citizenship law or bring a resolution against the Act in state Assembly.
Speaking to Times Now the cleric said he has asked Mamata Banerjee to take immediate steps to stall the Act or else “she risks losing the support of Muslims in West Bengal.” He added that all the protests that the West Bengal CM is leading in the state might be satisfactory for other people, but they are not enough to satisfy the Muslim population.
Days after dismissing his bail plea calling charges against him prima facie true, a Delhi Court has granted 3-day parole to Anti-Hindu Delhi riots accused Jamia ‘student’ Asif Iqbal Tanha to appear for his compartmental examination in December. Asif, a Jamia Millia Islamia student and member of the Student Islamist Organization (SIO) since 2014, was arrested under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act in May for purportedly being a part of a larger conspiracy behind the February riots in northeast Delhi.
After his bail application got rejected on October 27, Tanha moved the court seeking interim bail from November 30 to December 7 to prepare for three exams scheduled to be held in the first week. On October 21, he was granted one-day interim bail for taking the entrance examination for M.A Persian at the Jamia Milia Islamia University.
While passing the order Additional Sessions Judge Amitabh said that clearing the exams is necessary for Tanha to pursue M.A. in Persian, and that leniency must be shown to the accused by allowing him to appear for the said exams. He also directed the Tihar Jail superintendent to provide necessary assistance, provided it is within the permissibility of the jail rules, after Tanha’s advocate submitted before the court that her client did not have the required reading material to prepare for the upcoming exams.
It is pertinent to note here that prior to October 27, Tanha’a bail plea was also rejected on September 3. In fact, on both occasions, the riot-accused Asif Iqbal Tanha was denied bail by the same Delhi court. While hearing Asif’s case, Additional Sessions Judge Amitabh Rawat had then noted that the witness testimonies reflected his role in engineering the conspiracy and orchestrating a ‘chakka-jam’ that culminated into the riots. As per reports, protected witnesses have stated that Asif was one of the primary coordinators of the conspiracy.
The primary coordinator of the Jamia riots
As per the report, Asif Iqbal admitted to orchestrating riots and a march of 2500-3000 people from the Gate no.7 of Jamia Millia Islamia on December 12. He revealed that Sharjeel Imam gave a provocative speech to encourage ‘protestors’ to execute a ‘chakka jam’ on December 13.
Asif confessed to organising a ‘Gandhi peace march’ on December 15 from the Jamia metro station to the Parliament via Zakir Nagar and Batla House. He stated that the purpose of naming it after Mahatma Gandhi was to lure more people into joining the march. Moreover, in a statement made to the Special Cell of the Delhi Police, Delhi riots accused Asif Iqbal Tanha had also confessed that he wanted to turn India into an Islamic republic.
Amidst the ongoing ‘farmer protests’ along the Punjab-Haryana border, a video has gone viral on social media platforms in which a person claiming to be a farmer was heard saying that the farmers protests will be the defining moment of the geopolitics of not just India but also entire South Asia.
In the video that has gone viral now, one individual wearing black attire and a white turban can be seen arguing with the police officers demanding the opening of roads blockades along the Punjab-Haryana border that has been closed currently pre-empting the violent protests.
The protesting ‘farmer’ in the video can be heard saying that these farmer protests were nothing but an “Inquilab” (revolution). The person then goes on to subtly threaten the authorities saying that they were failing to understand the seriousness of the matter as this ‘revolution’ (protests) will define the next geopolitics of the entire country and South Asia.
Seen with a group of protestors at one of the blockades, the turban-clad man makes several misleading statements by citing the recently passed farm laws to claim that the lands of the farmers are being snatched away.
The person who has now become an internet sensation, thanks to his theatrics, is named Deep Sidhu, and he is not known to be a farmer. Deep Sidhu is a Punjabi film actor, who was once an associate of BJP MP Sunny Deol. Currently, Sidhu has been forefront at the farmers’ protests in Punjab and had participated in a protest at Batala last week.
Meanwhile, the video that has gone viral on the internet evoked mixed response as some social media users took a dig at Sidhu for portraying himself as an aggrieved farmer. Netizens also mocked the ‘urban farmer’ for connecting the farmer protests to impacting geopolitics in the region.
Deep Sidhu leading farmers protests, makes misleading claims about farm laws
Ever since the farmer began their ‘Delhi Chalo’ march to protest against the three farm bills that were passed by the Modi government, the actor Deep Sidhu has been part of the protest march. The actor has uploaded several videos for the last two days reporting on his journey from Punjab to Delhi.
In one of the videos he has uploaded on Facebook, Sidhu can be seen arguing with the police personnel asking them to remove blockades so that they can continue to drive to Delhi. Sidhu asking the police officers to show their written order to stop these protestors also claims that these protests are peaceful.
Continuing to argue with the police officials, the actor again falsely claims that the lands of the farmers are being snatched. Shockingly, the actor claiming to be a responsible farmer can be seen violating the COVID safety guidelines by neither wearing a mask nor maintaining social distancing in the public.

As Sidhu continued to move towards Delhi, he seems to have further encountered police blockades restricting their movement towards Delhi. Bizarrely, in one of the videos, one can see how Sidhu’s theatrics on the streets are nothing but orchestrated events. In the video, one of the persons can be heard giving a cue by saying ‘Start Bhai’ to the actor asking him to begin his enactment of protests as the person records the video.
As the recording begins, Sidhu sneaks below the barbed wires to confront the police personnel across the barricades asking them to open the blockade. The police officers can be requesting the actor to return back and continue to march to Delhi when necessary COVID guidelines are issued. One of the officers also requests Sidhu and his aides to wear a mask.
However, the actor brazens it out as one of his supporters says nobody wore a mask in Bihar during the recently concluded elections and the police cannot ask them to do so.
“Lakhs of people are coming to Delhi. How will you ask them to wear a mask? The lands are being snatched and these farmers survive if their land is protected, otherwise this COVID, we are seeing it from two months,” the actor says propagating same misinformation on his Facebook live video.
In another video, Sidhu can be saying the farm laws are nothing but a form of ‘state terrorism’. The actor attacking the Prime Minister Modi says that he needs to understand that he is not running a tea stall but a country.
“They want to take away the land of the farmers. The farmers have broken barricades and took over water canons. Suspend these laws. This as a peaceful agitation. The government should treat them humanly,” the actor said in another Facebook live video.
Deep Sidhu a known Khalistan-terrorists sympathiser
Shockingly, Deep Sidhu, who is now portraying himself to be an aggrieved farmer in the video, is a known Khalistan sympathiser. Sidhu has time-and-again defended the terrorist activities of pro-Khalistan groups.
Just a few weeks back, Deep Sidhu had expelled a lawyer known Hakam Singh for ruthlessly objecting to the raising of the pro-Khalistan slogan by another pro-Khalistani sympathiser and for handing him over to the police.
The lawyer had reacted to the slogan in a harsh manner after a Punjabi youth had raised pro-Khalistani slogans at a morcha. The lawyer had immediately taken him to the police personnel deployed nearby and asked them to arrest him by registering FIR against him. Losing temper over it, he offered to become a complainant against him.
Reacting to the incident, Sidhu had released a video defending the sacking of lawyer from his morcha for acting against pro-Khalistan sympathisers. In the video, Sidhu had openly opposed the action of Hakam Singh while announcing his expulsion.
“Taking such a decision was very necessary because our quam has made scores of sacrifices for the cause of Khalistan. If anyone raises a slogan in its favour, our reaction to it cannot be so ruthless,” the actor had said defending the Khalistani movement.
Hailing the Khalistani terror movements, Deep Sidhu had said that the armed Sikh struggle fought during the 90s was an important phase of their overall present struggle for their basic rights. He added, “I would like to say again that neither armed Sikh struggle was wrong, nor a declaration of Khalistan. Raising pro-Khalistan slogans was also not wrong”.
Ironically, netizens mocked Deep Sidhu when he said this protests or ‘revolution’ would define the geopolitics of South Asia. However, if one looks at the pro-Khalistan affiliations of Deep Sidhu, his statements cannot be taken in a light-hearted manner as it may have been the real motive after all and these farmer protests are just facade to create unrest in the country.
Perhaps, in a Freudian slip, Deep Sidhu accidentally revealed the sinister plan of the Khalistani movement to use the opportunity of farmers protests to create instability in the region and incite Punjabi farmers against the Modi government in the name of protesting against the farm bills. Earlier, we had reported how the farmer protests are being hijacked by several Khalistani elements, posing a great risk for the security apparatus of the country.
Khalistani elements hijacking the farmer protests
On Friday, the ongoing farmer protests along the Punjab-Haryana border also saw the participation of pro-Khalistani elements, who tried to hijack the farmer protests to incite Punjabi farmers against the Modi government.
A few Khalistani terror sympathisers disguised as farmers were caught gloating over the assassination of the former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, who also threatened PM Modi with a similar fate if their demands went unfulfilled.
In one of the videos from the protests, one of the demonstrators can be seen threatening PM Modi with dire consequences if the solution is not reached in the upcoming meeting between the farmers and the Centre over the agriculture bills.
“December 3 ko meeting hai, agar hal koi hua toh thik hai nahin toh…aap jaante nahin…hamare shaheed Udham Singh ne goro ko Canada me jake thoka…Indira thok di…Modi ki chhati mein…(If we can hit the whites in Canada, Delhi is nothing. We had bumped off Indira. A similar fate awaits PM Modi if the talks that are scheduled to happen on December 3 do not yield the desired results),” the Khalistani sympathiser threatened while talking to media.
Further, the protests, apparently carried out by the farmers, were taken control by the Khalistani supporters, who raised pro-Khalistani slogans hailing the face of Khalistani movement – Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale.
Even in September 2020, shortly after the Parliament passed the agriculture bills and protests began in Punjab, pro-Khalistani slogans were raised by protesters who had gathered in Ambala. An Army cavalcade was blocked and pro-Khalistan slogans were shouted during the protests in Ambala. Hundreds of demonstrators gathered on a busy Ambala-Amritsar National Highway-1, shouting pro-Khalistani slogans and stopped the Army trucks from passing through the highway.
Death wishes made at the farmer protests
Slogans against PM Modi and the central government has been an integral part of the demonstrations carried out by the so-called farmers in Punjab. In one of the blockades organised to express their disapproval over the farm bills, protesters wished death upon PM Modi.
At 8:47 in the above video, the protesters chant, “haye haye modi mar gaya, mar gaya bhai mar gaya” which roughly translates to the death wish for PM Modi. At another instance in the video, the demonstrators shout, “Ikki dukki chakk deyange, dhaun te goda rakh deyange (Every Tom, Dick and Harry will be knocked out, their necks will be under our feet).”
Interestingly, Deep Sidhu, who poses to be a farmer, was forefront at these rallies where death wishes against PM Modi were made. He was leading the protests against the police officials demanding them to open the blockade.
Earlier, we had also reported how Islamic organisations and left-wing elements are also attempting to hijack the farmer protests by fanning these protestors to continue to protest against the Modi government. The Congress parties links to inciting the so-called protestors have also emerged.
To sustain these protests, mosques and Islamic organisations in the national capital, who had an active role in the Delhi Anti-Hindu Riots, are getting involved in the farmer-protest posing a great risk for the security apparatus of the country.
The saga of the farmer protest in India started after the Modi government passed 3 bills: The Farmers Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2020, The Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill, 2020, and The Essential Commodities (Amendment) Bill, 2020. The objective of the three proposed laws was to make way for creating the Modi government’s ambitious vision of ‘One India, One Agriculture Market’. The law intends to end the monopoly of Agriculture Produce Market Committees (APMCs) in carrying out the trade of farm produce in the country.
While the bills aimed to remove middlemen, empower farmers and increase their income, inexplicably, farmers from Punjab were not happy. Soon after the bills were passed, politicians from AAP and Congress, coupled with Left activists joined hands to spread misinformation regarding the bills and fan protests.
As soon as the misinformation started, protests erupted in Punjab and parts of Haryana.
As many as two dozen farmer organisations, including Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU), All India Farmers Union (AIFU), All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee (AIKSCC), and All India Kisan Mahasangh (AIKM), came together for the ‘Bharat Bandh’ on September 25 to protest against farm Bills passed by Parliament amid massive protests from 18 opposition political parties. According to reports, 31 farmer organisations in Punjab and Haryana were already protesting and had then, alligned with political parties and called her a bandh.
These protests have now escalated massively in Punjab. Farmers from Punjab embarked on a journey to forcefully cross the border and reach Delhi. Several ‘farmers’ resorted to violence and worrying slogans, supporting Khalistan were also raised. With pro-Khalistan and anti-Indian slogans being raised during the ‘farmer protest’ along the Haryana-Punjab border, questions are being raised over the alleged involvement of SFJ in instigating Punjab farmers to protest against the Modi government under the pretext that the three farm bills are ‘anti-farmer’ in nature.
The shady role of the SFJ is being analysed as more and more details are emerging that points towards the possible interference of pro-Khalistan elements to hijack these farmer protest.
It is important to note that the Khalistan organisation SFJ, funded by Pakistan, had earlier declared a grant of $1 million for farmers in Punjab and Haryana in lieu of their support for Khalistan.
On 23rd September, it was reported that the SFJ had attempted to capitalise on the ongoing protests by farmers and had declared that it would distribute $1 million among farmers who had defaulted on agricultural loans.
“From October 1 to October 8, any farmer — irrespective of his faith — can register 25 votes for the Khalistan Referendum 2020 and get a grant of Rs 5,000 as assistance to repay their agricultural loans,” SJF said. The security agencies have since received inputs on the latest offer by SFJ.
Claiming that the Indian government’s new farms laws as a “colonial agenda to ultimately turn the farmers landless”, SFJ General Counsel, Gurpatwant Singh Pannu had tried to incite the farmers of Punjab by saying that the Modi government wanted to enslave the farmers of Punjab and Haryana by turning them into destitute. The SFJ had included farmers of Haryana also because they consider Haryana as part of Khalistan.
SFJ announced door-to-door campaign, tried to lure Sikhs to join Khalistan movement
Earlier in September itself, the banned pro-Khalistani group Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) had announced a door-to-door campaign for registration of voters supporting its separatist agenda called ‘Referendum 2020’.
The anti-terrorist agencies had then alerted the law-enforcement agencies in the states after the announcement. However, the Punjab government led by the Congress seems to have taken the Khalistan threat lightly resulting in Khalistan groups taking advantage of current farmer protests.
The US-based pro-Khalistani group, after failing to attract supporters for ‘Referendum 2010’, had come up with a new plan on Canadian and Russian portals announcing to recruit 1000 ambassadors for ‘Referendum 2020’. These ambassadors who will be provided with a monthly stipend of Rs 7,500 by the SFJ. The SFJ had aimedto cover 12,000 villages in Punjab within 30 days starting from September 21.
The terrorist group had earlier tried to lure farmers of Punjab by offering Rs 3,500 to each farmer as grant ahead of Referendum 2020. The group had announced that it would be providing money on a monthly basis to farmers who could not pay their loans. The MHA had ordered the properties of SFJ leaders to be attached earlier this month on the recommendation of the National Investigating Agency (NIA).
The Ministry of Home Affairs had declared the SFJ an unlawful association under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. Its leaders including, Pannun, Najjar were also declared as terrorists under the Act.
