Glenn Greenwald, an independent journalist of notable repute, appeared on Tucker Carlson Tonight on Fox News on the 10th of January and shared his opinions on the terrifying Big Tech censorship that is currently underway in the United States of America. He said that that the Biden administration and Big Tech was gearing up for a new ‘War on Terror’ but this time, on American citizens.

Glenn Greenwald said, “One thing that we are seeing clearly is the initiation of a new ‘War on Terror’.” The ‘War on Terror’ refers to the military adventure that the USA embarked upon in the wake of the 9/11 terror attacks in Iraq and Afghanistan and other territories against terrorists.

The most terrible terrorist attack on US soil was also followed by ever expanding surveillance measures that are regarded as a violation of privacy by those concerned with civil liberties. Revelations by Julian Assange and Edward Snowden also exposed the dark underbelly of the ‘War on Terror’ and the draconian measures implemented by the National Security Establishment.

Glenn Greenwald said that he fears a ‘War on Terror’ on Trump supporters because there are sufficient indications that the Biden administration will legislate a new terror law that will end up curbing civil liberties. He noted that all the actions that constitute domestic terrorism are already criminalized, therefore, what they actually seek is a new law to curb civil liberties.

“What they want to do is increase their power to monitor political groups, infiltrate them, to criminalize activities that are currently not criminalized nor should they be, whether it be advocacy of speech or other things,” Greenwald said.

He also said that people associated with Joe Biden are saying explicitly that the new law being discussed will not be applied to non-state actors or foreign citizens, it is going to be directed at Americans. He said that the strategy so far has been clear regarding what happens when Donald Trump leaves office, who has been extremely profitable for them.

Their strategy is “to inflate the risk of what they call ‘White Supremacist Terrorism’ which increasingly means nothing more than being a Trump supporter and then treating people in the United States who fall into that category the way you treat terrorists.” “You monitor them, you surveil them, you restrain them, you detain them and this is what they are saying explicitly,” Glenn Greenwald said.

The journalist was also extremely against the Big Tech censorship who he accused of colluding with the Democratic establishment. He also said that they overwhelmingly donate to the Democrat party and are part of their coalition.

There are also rumours floating that a law is being discussed to classify Donald Trump rallies as a “domestic terror activity” and to require law enforcement authorities to prevent such “domestic terrorism.”

Parler, a social media platform committed to free speech, has been pushed offline after Google, Apple and Amazon colluded to close their platforms to them. Being a youth in this country is like walking in a minefield. You never know which step will lead to a leftist/liberal propaganda explosion. Walking towards the theatre? Boom! You come out feeling less Hindu and more liberal. Walking towards a literary fest? Boom! You come out knowing less of actual history and more of colonized history.

Walking towards a comic show? You come out hating your Prime Minister and Nation and loving the secular minorities. Walking towards your University? You come out feeling less respectful towards our soldiers and in love with the urban naxals/azaadi gang. Walking towards…Well…I can never run out of examples on this one.

Chilling! Isn’t it? The leftists are a very smart bunch fully aware which products will be consumed by their target. A target audience that is innocent. Wanting the Ranbir Kapoor life (‘udna chahta hoon, daudna chahta hoon, bas rukna nahi chahta hoon’ influence). Break free from the clutches of the exam, job, peer and most importantly, family pressure.

An audience that is looking for entertainment, a dopamine rush. At present, the country is dealing with ‘clowns’ wanting to entertain the audience only by insulting Hindu gods, practices and leaders because they genuinely believe there is an audience for it. Because they think doing this would earn them not just the money, but also liberal approval. But do you know that’s not where they stop? That’s not all how they trick you to thinking Hindoos bad, Mudi fascist, India intolerant.

The most innovative and fascinating touchpoint (other than the obvious Instagram stories, posts and live shows) being YouTube live streams. They do not just live stream with their jokes or chat shows with fellow comedians, as one might think, but they live stream gaming. Be it something as chill as PubG or as serious as Chess.

The credit for this discovery goes to my friend. These live streams are protected and cannot be viewed if you are not a part of it. You might be able to find some snippets and from those snippets, one might just think what’s wrong with live streaming games? Well here’s how it starts. You join their private game rooms.

They make you feel privileged because you get to play and talk with them. They subtly plant political, religious and communal ideas and casually get back to playing. These live streams are full of abuses, vulgar names, crass passing comments on prominent leaders and subtle brainwashing against topics that can lead to potential violence or conflict (which is common in their stand up shows).

That’s not it. They also receive ‘super chats’ from young kids to the order of Rs 10,000 per stream. A prominent example is of the comedian Samay Raina (winner of Comicstaan) who live streams the game of Chess with eminent personalities like Vishwanathan Anand and International Chess Grandmasters like Magnus Carlsen and Judit Polgar. What is surprising is Samay Raina is popular for his controversial stands like supporting the protest against CAA, controversial statements on Kashmir, anti-Modi rants etc, and yet manages to share space with National winners like Vishwanathan Anand under the garb of making chess popular amongst the youth.

The lockdown has unfortunately given them a boost wherein these thugs of comedy randomly go live with their fellow comedians to chill (apparently). These chilling videos of them randomly mocking Janta curfew efforts, callously talking of the ruling government, abusing after every second word to sound cool get more than 5 million views with continuously flowing superchats.

Post a ban on PubG, Tanmay Bhatt can be seen mocking this decision. In one of his videos, he is seen requesting Prime Minister Modi to ban another Asian nation instead like a Singapore or Japan and unban PubG. The video also talks about their modus operandi and how they are left to survive on random live streams. Ok! Honestly, I envy them now. What’s easier than earning through abusing?

While we are on the topic of subtle brainwashing, here’s a classic example. In this particular sketch, a comedian named Daniel Fernandes mocks and shames a Kashmiri in the audience for supporting BJP. When the person from the audience says, “They (BJP) is doing a lot of work there and I support BJP”, a person from the audience yells, “Pagal hai kya?”. This is where Daniel jumps in and adds, “We cannot force people to be smart about their political choices.” He then reiterates his question when the person says, “he has been taught something by his parents” to which Daniel cross-questions, “Did they teach to agree with the ones who kill you?” very conveniently alleging BJP workers are murderers.

And then they want us to believe that ‘it’s all in the name of comedy’. Well, this is not where the buck stops. In fact, this is just one of the mediums used by the leftist to woo the young audience. Organizing fancy, woke and liberal protests, making them feel like a victim while calling them intellectuals, flaring speeches, cross-dressing, public kissing events are some other popular ways to trap the young minds. They claim to liberate them, only to cage them in their propaganda.

Another popular medium to engage with the young population during the lockdown period was the OTT platform. Releasing Hinduphobic content is almost a compulsion to be able to feature on an OTT platform. The signs are no longer subtle. Saffron clad mob chasing a man to lynch, dhongi pandit, angry Hanuman sticker on the car of the villain, it’s right in our face, fed forcefully till we are tricked into believing it. For the ones who do not consume video content, there are books by random authors available on Kindle.

A recent report suggested how Amazon Kindle Editions are selling porn and rape literature specifically depicting Muslim men and Hindu women. So here’s a definite trap for the ones who prefer books over series. This leaves me wondering, where are we heading as a society. What role are parents playing in the lives of their children? Is the new generation that gullible? What’s the solution to this? Is there a solution at all? Minefield. Remember? Watch your step.

COVID-19 vaccination: Serum Institute receives purchase order for 11 million doses from Govt of India

As the Indian government gears up for the world’s largest immunisation exercise against COVID-19, it has reportedly placed orders of the COVID-19 vaccine prepared by the Pune-based Serum Institute of India.

The Serum Institute on India on Monday said it has received purchased order from the Centre for the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine, news agency ANI quoted SII officials as confirming. The officials further said that the vaccine would be available at Rs 200 per vial.

According to the report published by Reuters, the Indian government will now be buying 11 million doses of Serum Institute of India’s locally made Oxford Covid-19 vaccine ‘Covishield’ via HLL Care. The report further mentioned that the government has inked a purchase agreement with Bharat Biotech for its COVID-19 vaccine as well.

The Indian government plans to procure 600 million doses for India’s vaccination blitz that aims to inoculate 300 million citizens over the next six to eight months, the Reuters report said.

The purchase agreements have been signed days after the government authorised emergency use of COVID-19 vaccines made by Serum Institute and Bharat Biotech. On 3 January, India’s drug regulator Drugs Controller General of India(DCGI) had approved emergency use authorization of the vaccine developed by Oxford University as well as another developed by Indian firm Bharat Biotech.

PM Modi holds meeting with chief ministers to review COVID-19 vaccine rollout

As the Indian government sends orders to procure the COVID-19 vaccine, PM Modi today is holding a meeting with chief ministers of all states to review the Covid-19 vaccine rollout plan set to begin this week. The first phase of the COVID-19 vaccination exercise is expected to start from January 16 with health care workers, frontline workers and the elderly.

The meeting, being held virtually, is also attended by Home Minister Amit Shah. The goal of the meeting is to review the coordination between the Centre and the states to ensure efficient delivery of vaccination and efficient management of drive. The Indian government aims to vaccinate health workers, both government and private, on a priority basis.

Jammu and Kashmir witnessed a 63.93% decrease in the number of terror incidents in 2020: MHA

In what could be seen as a major accomplishment of the Modi government, the number of terrorist incidents in Jammu and Kashmir in the year 2020 decreased by 63.93 per cent as compared to the corresponding period in 2019, the Home Ministry revealed while giving a brief about the Central government’s annual achievements. The data shared by the MHA was until November 15, 2020.

As per an ANI report, MHA also briefed that the fatalities of Special Forces Personnel saw a decrease of 29.11 per cent while the casualties of civilians also declined by 14.28 per cent last year.

While sharing the information, MHA opined that adaptation of central laws in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and the Union Territory of Ladakh is one of the key achievements of the Central government.

“Orders were notified for adaptation of 48 Central Laws and 167 State Laws in respect of UT of J&K. Orders relating to adaptation of 44 Central Laws and 148 State Laws in UT of Ladakh were also notified,” MHA said, furthering that “The Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Removal of Difficulties) Order, 2020 was notified on 31.03.2020. It removes difficulties with regard to section 75 of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, 2019 for administering oath to new judges appointed to the common High Court for Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. A Bench of Central Administrative Tribunal was established at Jammu on 08.06.2020.”

Throwing light on the effective implementation of the Prime Minister Development Package in the region, the MHA revealed that almost 36,384 displaced families from Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Chhamb have been provided with a one-time financial aid of Rs 5.5 lakh per family.

Moreover, as many as 5,764 families of West Pakistan Refugees (WPRs) have also been provided similar assistance, on par with the displaced families from Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Chhamb.

Central government revokes Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on August 5, 2019, had announced the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A in Parliament, which resulted in the bifurcation of the state of Jammu and Kashmir into two union territories.

The Central Government had earlier said that it has adopted a policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism and has taken various measures, such as strengthening of security apparatus, strict enforcement of law against anti-national elements, intensified cordon and search operations to effectively deal with the challenges posed by the terrorist organisations.

Notably, the number of Kashmiri youths joining Islamic terrorist groups has also reduced significantly in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, since the revocation of Article 370. In July 2020 it was reported that there had been a reduction of more than 40 per cent in Kashmiri youths joining terrorist groups. The number of youths who joining terrorist groups fell to 67 between January 1 and July 15, 2020, compared to 105 a year ago, while terror incidents also reduced from 188 to 120 during that period.

Why minorities shouldn’t be worried about the concept of a Hindu Rashtra

A Hindu Rashtra, when shallowly thought of, occurs as a theocratic country where only practising Hindus could reside in, where the law would side with Hindus whenever a dispute arises with other communities. It is thought of as a country where non-Hindu communities would face brutal oppression, and be either suppressed or exiled. Though this notion is incorrect, the Left ecosystem has successfully manufactured this narrative in a bid to terrify non-Hindus living in Bharat, polarising them for political gains.

Unlike the narrative peddled by the Left, a Hindu Rashtra by its very essence is inclusive to people of other faiths, as evident by the various historical accounts which prove that Hindu kingdoms were never hostile to people of foreign faiths.

Bharat has seen the entry of several communities, giving them opportunities to flourish and start life afresh in their new motherland. Never in Bharat’s entire history has a Hindu kingdom forced other communities to convert to Sanatan Dharma, and has always embraced new settlers as guests.

As seen in history, those who faced oppression elsewhere found refuge in our motherland and weren’t troubled by the local Hindu monarchs. For instance, several Jews from Europe came to Bharat seeking refuge after the commencement of Inquisitions in their homeland, which saw most of their tribe be forcefully converted to Christianity. The Jews were given a dignified life in India and no Hindu kingdom imposed restrictions on their faith, nor did we commit mass genocides of the Jewish community to the likes of Muslim rulers like Tipu Sultan.

The root of this false narrative of a Hindu Rashtra being oppressive against minorities lies in the deep insecurity of people from the Abrahamic faith. The followers of Abraham look upon the concept of Hindu Rashtra as a mirror, in which they see a reflection of their own past and presume that we would do exactly what they did to us. History has shown that intolerance tends to be the basis of Abrahamic religions, with all of them warring against each other in places where they come in contact.

MS Golwalkar, the second Sarsanghchalak of the RSS

As MS Golwalkar, popularly referred to as ‘Guruji’, rightly puts it in Bunch of Thoughts:

 “The first Semitic religion was Judaism, an intolerant faith. It was this intolerance that nailed Christ on the Cross. Then came Christianity, the child of the former. That too was equally intolerant. Doubtless Christ was a great saint. But later, what went on in the name of Christ had nothing to do with him. It was no Christianity but only ‘Churchianity’. The saying “There was but one true Christian and he died on the Cross” is true to the letter.

The Christians committed all sorts of atrocities on the Jews by giving them the label ‘Killers of Christ’. Hitler is not an exception but a culmination of the 2000-year long oppression of the Jews by the Christians.

Then came Islam – a long story of ‘Sword and Koran’ written in the tears and blood of millions of innocent human beings. It’s latest chapter of ‘Pakistan’, the self-declared theocratic Islamic State, is no different with the entire Hindu population butchered and driven out from its western wing and the same process continuing in its eastern wing. All these have ingrained in their blood intolerance of other faiths.”

Hindus don’t want the blood of minorities despite the pathetic oppression they levied upon us during their reign, all we want is the disposal of the hard shells they’ve developed in their heads, making them feel like they are “different” from the local majority population.

The Jews and Parsis managed to peck aside their differences and merged their heart and soul with their new motherland, emerging as a prosperous community in Bharat. This is yet to be learnt by a few Muslims and Christians, who find pride in being associated with our motherland’s past oppressors.

Many members of these two specific communities do not believe that the ones who were persecuted by these rulers were one of their own. They pride themselves with the sadistic accomplishments of these invaders, thinking that these accomplishments should be credited to their ancestors.

What they fail to understand is that the oppressors they fan about all day had slaughtered their very ancestors. A vast majority of them were forced to convert due to the barbaric measures employed by the Arabic and European invaders and had a little-to-no contribution in the rise of the invading empires. Glorifying these barbarians is equivalent to spitting on the memory of their bloodline.

What is a Hindu Rashtra?

A ‘Hindu Rashtra’ isn’t a new concept as a political entity, as it was seen for thousands of years before the barbarians stepped foot on our motherland. Even if we look at the Hindu kingdoms that existed during the Islamic reign, no citizen was discriminated against on the score of religion.

A beautiful example of this can be seen during the time of Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj, who appointed several Muslim commanders in his army and never restricted local Muslims and Christians from following their faith. Several of his most trusted aides belonged to the Muslim community, such as his navy chief Darya Sarangh and lieutenant Daulat Khan. On the death of Afzal Khan too, Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj facilitated the Islamic burial of him at Pratapgarh fort, despite his treacherous attempt to assassinate the great Maratha king. Several accounts also record donations made by the Maratha king to Dargahs and Mosques.

Socially and culturally, Bharat has always been a Hindu Rashtra. The very essence of Bharat’s social and cultural structure is based on the Sanatan Dharma. This can be seen amongst the old Christians of South India as well; it is only in Bharat that you’d see Christians put a maala of flowers on pictures of Mary and Christ, and it is only in Bharat that you’d see them singing Bhajans of Jesus (or Yeshu, as they like to call him). The fact is, you cannot separate the Sanatan way of living and worship from an Indian, no matter how hard you try to influence his faith and lifestyle.

If you look at it from a legal perspective, a Hindu Rashtra won’t exactly be very different from the current legislation except on key matters, such as the issue of temple autonomy, the ban on cow slaughter and reclamation of temples that were previously razed by barbarians. It will also put an end to minority appeasement for political gain since the state would try to benefit the entire society than just one or two communities.

A Hindu Rashtra would never harm those who pledge their loyalty to the motherland and don’t make intentional attempts to outrage the sentiments of the majority populace. As a part of its dharma, the administration of a Hindu Rashtra will look upon all its citizens equitably, since it is the moral and religious duty of it to work for the welfare of society.

Suspected mafia killing: Hyderabad AIMIM block President chased and hacked to death in full public view, video viral

A disturbing video has surfaced online where three people are seen mercilessly hacking a man to death in full public view on a busy road in Hyderabad. The incident reportedly took place near the PVNR express highway near pillar number 248 at Rajendranagar on Sunday midnight. The deceased has been identified as Asaduddin Owaisi-led All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen’s (AIMIM) MM Pahadi block president, Mohd Abdul Khaleel.

The disturbing and violent video footage the crime shows three men brutally hitting Khaleel on the head with stones. One accused is seen holding a knife in his hand. The victim died on the spot due to multiple injuries. As one can see in the video, there was full public movement at the time of the incident, but the killers remained unfettered.

Police suspect the killers had followed Khaleel and at around 11:45 pm when he was near pillar no 248 of the PVNR expressway, they pounced on him and attacked him with knives. The murderers, after stabbing the victim, smashed his head with boulders multiple times, even as the public watched in horror. No one reportedly dared to intervene as the killers were carrying weapons. After making sure that he was dead, they fled the spot.

Khaleel’s body was shifted to Osmania General hospital by the police later in the night for an autopsy.

DCP Shamshabad N Prakash Reddy, visited the spot immediately after the incident was reported. He confirmed that three people were involved in the crime. DCP Reddy while speaking to media said that the police are trying to nab the accused. He confirmed that the deceased was also a real state agent. The DCP said that the case is being investigated and the police are exploring all possible angles of business, family or political rivalry. Police are also verifying the CCTV cameras near the spot for clues of the suspects. He assured that the accused would be nabbed soon.

Meanwhile, AIMIM Karwan MLA Kausar Mohiuddin and Rajendranagar constituency party in-charge Mirza Rehmat Baig met the family member’s of Khaleel to pay their condolences and assure justice.

This is shockingly the second such incident reported from the area in Hyderabad in the last 24 hours. On Sunday morning, the body of a man was found packed into a suitcase and abandoned on the roadside near pillar number 223 of the PVNR Expressway. The deceased was later identified as auto-rickshaw driver Riyaz, who was reported missing on Saturday. CCTV footage showed Riyaz accompanied by two men, who were identified by the family as Syed and Feroz.

Karnataka: Reliance Retail to buy 100 quintals of rice from farmers at prices higher than MSP

Reliance Retail Limited has signed an agreement to purchase 1000 quintals of rice from farmers in Sindhanur taluk in Raichur district of Karnataka.

As per reports, the Ambani-owned corporate entity has struck a deal with Swasthya Farmers Producing Company (SFPC), which has 1100 registered paddy farmers. Reliance has placed an order for Sona Masoori rice from the company and emphasized that the crop should have less than 16% moisture in it. At the same time, Reliance is offering to pay ₹1,950 per quintal of rice i.e. ₹82 higher than the Minimum Support Price (MSP) offered by the government.

For every transaction of ₹100, the farmers would pay 1.5% as commission to the SFPC. Moreover, the farmers also need to pay for the sack used in packaging and transportation of crops to the warehouse in Sindhanur. Although SPFC initially traded in oil, the company has now begun procurement and sale of rice. The deal is hailed as the first major transaction between farmers and a private company (Reliance), following the enactment of the historic farm laws.

Transparency in payment, crop quality to be tested by third parties

While speaking about the new agreement, MD of SFPC Mallikarjun Valkaldinni informed that the quality of rice will be tested by third parties. He also added that around 500 quintals of Sona Masoori rice are already stocked at warehouses.

Highlighting the transparency in the process, he informed, “We are expecting the purchase to go through anytime now. Once they have procured the crop, Reliance will transfer the money to SFPC online and we will credit the money directly to the farmers’ accounts.” At the same time, GPS trackers would be used to ensure that crops are not adulterated or tampered with during transportation or at any stage.

Does the new farm laws concern MSPs?

As stated above, currently the provision of MSPs does not have any legal backing. The three new farm laws passed by the Modi government also do not have any provision for MSP. Legally, there is no law that puts an obligation on the government to purchase farm produce at MSPs from farmers. There are also no laws that put the onus on private players to buy at MSP.

However, based on rumours that the Modi government will repeal MSPs, the farmers from Punjab have now descended on the streets asking for the rollback of the three laws. Farmers are upset with the three farm bills because none of them mentions anything about MSP.

Even though Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government have categorically stated that the MSP system will remain, the protesting farmers are in no mood to relent. In fact, the three farm bills that have been introduced by the government concerns with the reform of APMCs and introduction of contract farming and have nothing to do with MSP.

Virat wrote, “We are thrilled to share with you that we have been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon. We thank you all for your love, prayers and good wishes. In August 2020, Anushka and Virat posted an identical tweet to inform their followers that they are adding a third member to their family in January 2021. The two had shared a picture in which Anushka was seen sporting a polka dot dress while Virat was standing behind her. Why I am worried as a private citizen over what happened in Supreme Court today over farm laws

The Supreme Court of India has a lot of power. I have none. I only have the ability to speak, which may or may not be allowed in this case. Today the Supreme Court was hearing a bunch of petitions challenging the constitutionality of the three recently passed farm laws.

During the proceedings, it appeared at various times that the court would stay the laws themselves. At other times, it seemed the court would form a committee of eminent persons whose role did not seem immediately clear. Would they mediate between the government and the protesters? Or would this committee frame new laws themselves? Would they recommend new laws or would they have the power to pass laws on their own? If make recommendations, who would these recommendations be for? The government or the Supreme Court? Would the government have the authority to reject these recommendations?

We don’t know. Some are saying the picture might become clear tomorrow. Again, we don’t know. And therein lies the rub.

For me as a private citizen, this is terrifying to say the least. Who makes laws in this country? I don’t know any more.

I used to think that we get to choose legislators who can vote and pass bills in Parliament. Once the President signs the bill, it becomes law. After that, the role of the judiciary is limited to checking whether the law is in keeping with the constitution. In particular, the merits and demerits of the law are not debated in court. If someone is protesting against a law, if the protests create a law and order situation or have the potential to create a law and order situation, that is between the government and the protesters.

The MPs who vote in parliament represent us and are accountable to us. We can criticize them; we can vote them out of office if we want. Those who make our laws should represent us and be accountable to us.

At least that was my understanding. I am not saying it is the correct understanding. Only the learned judges can tell us what is correct. If I have been wrong about this for most of my life, I would appeal to the learned judges to correct me.

Again in my limited understanding, I am not alone in my confusions. A number of fellow citizens on social seem confused too. What does this mean, for instance?

So do citizens have to approach the court with petitions formally informing them about what they feel is good or bad in the country? I used to think that we get to have our say during elections. I take pride in voting in every election where I am eligible, local, state or centre. And I want to take my civic duties seriously. If there is an additional step where we are supposed to petition the court with our views on the government, I would like to know about it.

I’ve heard of voter turnout. I have never heard of petitioner turnout. My fault, very likely.

Let me just say I do not object to any decision that the honourable court may take, today or tomorrow or any other day, on the matter of farm laws and any other issue. Wait, is that supposed to be ‘honourable’ in lower case or ‘Honorable’ with the first letter in upper case or ‘HONORABLE’ with all letters in upper case? I have no idea. I know absolutely nothing.

So who am I to object to anything anyway? I only have contempt for myself because I know nothing at all. This much I might know. I guess.

‘Yogi ki maut nishchit hai, I will take your jobs away’: AAP MLA Somnath Bharti threatens police officials during Rae Bareli visit

Earlier today, ink was thrown at AAP MLA Somnath Bharti while he was going to visit government schools in Rae Bareli. Following the ink attack, an enraged Bharti resorted to dishing out death threats to Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath.

“Nothing is going to happen from this. Yogi Adityanath’s death is assured. You have helped the attacker escape. You need to understand this. Tell Yogi Adityanath he would not achieve from such attacks,” Somnath Bharti said.

The AAP MLA was seen threatening, gesticulating and talking in a derogatory manner with the police official who was trying to pacify him.

Ink was hurled at AAP MLA Somnath Bharti when he was on his way to inspect some government school in Uttar Pradesh’s Rae Bareli. The AAP leader was attacked while he was embroiled in a heated argument with a police officer who had stopped him from visiting the schools. After the incident, Bharti was detained in the guest house itself while the man who threw ink on him managed to escape.

During his altercation with police, before an unidentified man attacked Bharti with ink, the AAP leader was also seen threatening the police official of getting him terminated from his job. The police officer had stopped AAP MLA Somnath Bharti from leaving the guesthouse for his visit to a UP government school.

“I will get you sacked. Bear this in mind. I can identify all of you. I will get all the officers who are trying to stop me today sacked,” said Somnath Bharti while threatening the police officer who stopped him from leaving the guesthouse.

Shortly afterwards, an unknown man hurled ink at Somnath Bharati. He was subsequently detained in the guesthouse and later taken away to Amethi by the Amethi police.

An FIR was also filed against the AAP leader in Amethi for his alleged derogatory statement about the condition of hospitals in Uttar Pradesh.

Meanwhile, AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal came out in the defence of his leader, asking UP CM Yogi Adityanath if he is so ashamed of the condition of schools in his state that he has to stop people from visiting them.

“Yogiji, our MLA Somnath Bharti ji was going to see your government school. So you got ink hurled at him? And then arrested him? Are your schools so bad? If someone goes to see your school then why do you get so scared? Fix the schools first. If you do not know how to fix them, then ask Manish Sisodia,” Kejriwal tweeted.
