The incredible stupidity of liberals in asking “How can Ram or Krishna have a birthplace?”

Liberals are still raw about PM Modi laying the foundation of a Ram Temple at Ayodhya. And now a group of Hindus has filed a suit over Krishna Janmabhoomi in Mathura. While their suit has been dismissed, this is not likely to be the last time we hear of this.

You can almost hear the liberals sneering : Ram and Krishna are mythological figures. How can they have a birthplace?

Over the years, you must have heard some or other version of this question, with the usual display of arrogance. You know, like this.

Well, next time you hear this question, tell your liberal friend to step out of their cave and into modern civilization. The concept of property and ownership in the sophisticated modern world will blow their mind.

Let me explain. Suppose, by some miracle, a fictional caveman called Hartosh is transported to our modern world. Actually, I am going to call this caveman ‘Binod’ from now on. So this Binod steps into a train but doesn’t have a ticket.

The ticket checker explains to Binod that traveling without a ticket is stealing.

“But,” Binod demands, “How is it stealing? Who am I stealing from?”

“You’re stealing from the Indian Railways.”

“Who is this person called Indian Railways?”

Binod’s confusion is understandable. In the Paleolithic Age, from where Binod has come, there is no concept of a modern corporation. Binod thinks that you have to be an actual person to own something. This worked fine in Binod’s primitive world, where each hunter gatherer owned the prey he had killed that day or the fruits he had gathered for food.

But the modern world is more sophisticated than that. In order to run the modern world, we have conceived of all sorts of entities that are not real people, but act legally as if they were. There are corporations, governments, universities and non-profits all around us. They aren’t real people. But they can own property, they can pay taxes, they can sue other people or other entities and be held legally liable in courts! In fact, a famous US Supreme Court decision (Citizens United vs Federal Election Commission, 2010) found that such entities are even entitled to free speech. How can an entity have speech rights when they do not even have a body, a mouth or a tongue?

This must all be very confusing to Binod. But, for the rest of us, it’s really commonplace. All around we see entities like Google, Facebook, IBM, Amazon, Govt of India, State of Karnataka, United States Govt, United Nations, IIT Delhi, Greenpeace : none of these is an actual person, but legally acts like it is!

That’s the modern world. We exchange pieces of near worthless looking paper for actual food and drink. It’s called money. Again, money is an idea. We have learned to act as if it has value. In fact, most money in the world today isn’t even printed on paper. It exists in digital form. The idea of the idea of money makes the world go around!

In the modern world, not only can entities own property, the “property” they own need not have any physical existence at all! In Binod’s time, only food or stone tools were property. Today, we have intellectual property. These days, data is a bold new form of property. Imagine that : your personal information, your birthday, your taste in food and entertainment and travel is also property. They are calling data the new oil. You can’t touch it. You can’t feel it. But it’s real. A corporation can sue another corporation over breach of intellectual property…

Imagine that, Binod! An entity sues another entity for stealing an entity. And it somehow all makes sense. Just because your primitive brain cannot process it does not mean it isn’t there.

So there is your answer. You don’t need Ram or Krishna to be real people in order to have a “birthplace.” The concept, the belief is enough. You then might have to go through the usual hoops of getting this concept the recognition of a “legal person” and assert the rights thereof in a court of law. Like registering a corporation.

You may win or lose your case in the court. That’s an altogether different matter. But the question of physical existence is completely irrelevant and would not come up at any stage of this legal process whatsoever. No, you can’t dismiss the case by saying that the complainant is not an actual human being. If that was possible, ticketless travel would be allowed because Indian Railways is not an actual human being. If that was possible, no corporation, no government, no university, no non-profit would ever be able to file a case or be held liable in a court again.

Get it, Binod? Welcome to 2020. Try to wrap your mind around it. It’s easy if you try.

I believe most Indian liberals understand the concept of government or corporations or money or intellectual property. But due to their hatred against Hinduism, they suddenly pretend not to understand when it comes to Ram Janmabhoomi or Krishna Janmabhoomi. Asking how Ram or Krishna can have a birthplace is like asking how a dollar bill can have value when you can’t even eat it? Or why we should trust the Reserve Bank when it is not even a real person.

In their haste to accuse Hindus of being superstitious and foolish, they end up arguing like a caveman from the Paleolithic Age. Ironic, isn’t it?

Chattisgarh: 12th pass man found running medical store, nursing home with 4 beds

An incident from Balrampur in Chhattisgarh has come to light wherein a 12th pass boy was allegedly running a nursing home. The boy named Nihar Malik was running a nursing home and was even treating the patients visiting him in Bartikala village of the Wadraf Nagar development block in Balrampur district, as reported by Amar Ujala.

An inspection drive is going on in Chhattisgarh with the objective of ensuring the facilities are under the Nursing Home Act and the set standards. According to reports, a team of Health and Revenue Department headed by SDM Vishal Maharana reached a medical store named Deep medical store in Bartikala after receiving several complaints against it. When the team reached the medical store and asked its owner Nihar Malik for documents, he failed to show any documents. The team comprising of SDM Vishal Maharana, Naib Tehsildar Vineet Singh and officers from the Health Department was shocked to see that at the backside of the medical store a nursing home with a capacity of four beds was being run by Malik.

The team found that Malik did not even have a pharmacist license. All he could produce in the name of documents was a certificate of 12th class on which ‘doctor’ was written with wrong spelling. The team also found a woman being treated for fever in the nursing home.

Fake doctor was running a 4-bed nursing home

When the team questioned Malik about the woman patient, it was found that the woman only had a fever but she was being treated for typhoid. As per the Amar Ujala report, many such medicines were kept in the clinic which even specialist doctors avoid using. It was found that medicines with severe side effects, including high antibiotic dosages were being used for treatment.

The medical store and the clinic have been sealed for violating the rules. Malik has been given a chance by the authorities to produce the documents. SDM Vishal Maharana informed that the team is consulting officials and specialist doctors before taking appropriate action.

Rahul Gandhi finds clean spot to ‘fall’, Congress minions prompt him to ask correct questions to Police: Tragedy of a woman becomes political playground

Barely days after the unfortunate death of the Hathras victim, the politicians have found their latest playground for scoring a few political goals. As the investigation is being carried out by a special team, the Hathras administration has imposed section 144 of the CrPc prohibiting illegal gatherings and also sealed borders to maintain law and order. However, Congress scion Rahul Gandhi and sister Priyanka Gandhi in a bid to reinvent their political career have embarked on a journey to Hathras to meet the victim’s family.

Enroute, since the restrictions are in place, their convoy was stopped. The brother-sister duo then got off their airconditioned car and decided to walk the remainder of their 150+ km journey. On their way when the cops tried to stop, Rahul Gandhi tried to run away. Flanked by his security who took the lathi blows on behalf of Rahul Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi found himself a clean spot to ‘fall’.

Like a domino’s effect, another Congress worker also ‘fell’ on Rahul Gandhi, to save the former Congress President and son of current interim Congress President from any injuries.

In another video, when the UP Police said that they are arresting him, Rahul Gandhi very innocently asked on what basis is he being stopped.

A helpful Congress worker prompted him to ask under what section is he being arrested instead of questioning the authority of the cops.

Bhaiya camera layiye,” he asks the camera person to record his big statement wherein he asks the cops that he wants to go alone, why is he not being allowed to. Except, he is not alone and is accompanied by hundreds of Congress workers.

The UP Police explained that he is being arrested under IPC 188. When police informs him that he is being arrested for violating the law, Rahul Gandhi questioned which law.

A Congress minion then question the cops under whose order did they lathicharge. When the police said there was no lathicharge, the minion took an offence and was angry that ‘RAHUL JI KO MAARA HAI‘.

As per latest reports, both the brother-sister duo have been arrested by the UP Police.

After actor Kangana Ranaut, BJP MP and actor Ravi Kishan provided with Y-plus security cover, thanks Yogi Adityanath

Days after actor Kangana Ranaut was provided with Y plus security cover by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, the BJP MP and Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kishan, has also been provided with the same. The Uttar Pradesh government has given Ravi Kishan Y+ security cover following threats to life after he spoke out about the Bollywood-drug nexus links on the first day of the Monsoon Session of the Parliament.

The actor took to Twitter Thursday to thank Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Aditynath for providing security for his ‘family and the people of his constituency’. He said that he remains undeterred and that his voice cannot be stifled. He would continue to reverberate people’s thoughts, said the actor.

“Respected Maharaj Ji, with my security in mind, you have provided me with the Y+ category protection. I, my family and the people of my Lok Sabha constituency are indebted to you and we thank you for it. My voice will continue to resonate in the House,” he tweeted.

BJP MP Ravi Kishan raises issue of drug trafficking in movie industry

The BJP MP, like Kangana Ranaut, had also spoken against the drug nexus that is active in Bollywood. Last month, Ravi Kishan raised the issue of drug trafficking in India and the film fraternity in the Parliament. “There is a conspiracy to destroy the lives of Indian youth through the distribution of lethal drugs and some of our neighbouring countries are involved in it,” the BJP MP had said.

His statement didn’t go down well with Samajwadi Party leader and actor Jaya Bachchan, who otherwise maintains a stoic silence when her own party members are involved in a controversy. She had lambasted at the BJP MP for raising the drug abuse issue which is quite prevalent in Bollywood.

Jaya Bachchan had accused Ravi Kishan of being ungrateful to Bollywood and has called him a traitor.

Kangana Ranaut provided with Y plus security cover

For the uninitiated, a week after actress Kangana Ranaut had expressed her lack of faith in the Mumbai police and urged the Centre and the Himachal Pradesh government to provide her security in the wake of violent threats by ruling Shiv Sena leaders, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs has granted her Y category security. On August 31, the actress stated that she was scared of the Mumbai police more than she feared the movie mafia goons.

Following the untiley death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, Kangana Ranaut has been in the forefront, vociferously speaking against the drug nexus prevelant in Bollywood.

NCB tightens its grip on the Bollywood drug cartel

It is pertinent to note here, that the allegations of rampant drug trafficking and consumption in the movie industry had come to the fore when chats of deceased Bollywood actor Sushant Singh’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty were reported by media portals. The NCB had filed FIRs in the case and several of the alleged traffickers have been arrested.

NCB also arrested Sushant Singh Rajput’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik, Karan Johar’s close aide Kshitij Prasad and many others and interrogated many high profile Bollywood actors like Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh, etc in the Bollywood drug nexus case.

Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny claims that President Vladimir Putin was behind his suspected poisoning: Reports

0

Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, who was admitted to the ICU in the month of August after being allegedly ‘poisoned’, has claimed in an interview that the Russian President-Vladimir Putin was behind his suspected poisoning. Saying so, Putin’s staunch critic, Navalny also asserted that he was not scared.

“I claim that Putin is behind the crime and I don’t have any other versions of what happened,” Navalny said.

While the opposition party has demanded an explanation from Putin, the latter’s political party has denied any such involvement of the President in the incident. They have also said that Alexei Navalny is yet to back his claims against the President with any sort of evidence.

Alexei Navalny admitted to the ICU after being ‘poisoned’

In August it was reported that the Russian opposition leader was admitted in the intensive care unit of Charité hospital in Berlin after being allegedly poisoned.

In a series of tweets on August 20, Navalny’s Press Secretary Kira Yarmysh reported that Navalny lost conscious after his flight from Tomsk, Siberia to Moscow took off. As Navalny fell ill, the pilot made an emergency landing in Omsk, where he was rushed to a hospital. It was reported back then that Navalny had drunk tea in the airport just before boarding the plane. Reportedly, he felt uneasy on the plane and started sweating.

The Russian opposition leader shared his picture with hospital staffs

Later on September 15, Navalny- previously an anti-corruption blogger who went on to become the face of opposition in Russia, took to his official Instagram account to share his picture, recouping in the hospital in the German capital.

Kapil Mishra was not described as a ‘whistleblower’ in the Delhi Riots chargesheet, people being threatened by Rahul Roy were: What media hid

The investigation into the Delhi anti-Hindu riots is just about heating up with over 700 FIRs and several chargesheets filed. With the arrest of Umar Khalid, Tahir Hussain, Khalid Saifi, the Pinjra Tod members, Congress leader Ishrat Jahan and several others, the Delhi Police has now filed the first chargesheet that detailed the conspiracy which was hatched to burn Delhi.

The chargesheet filed in FIR No. 59/2020 details how the conspiracy started to take shape right from the 5th of December 2019 and the masterminds, Sharjeel Imam, Umar Khalid and others started fomenting trouble. The chargesheet also details the roles of others and though elements like Yogendra Yadav have not been booked yet, his name has cropped up in the chargesheet from the very beginning of the conspiracy, on the 8th of December when he held a secret meeting with Sharjeel Imam, Umar Khalid and others.

Meeting held on the 8th of December

Chargesheet in FIR No 59/2020, that details the entire conspiracy, spans almost over 17,000 pages. The media, however, has cherry-picked information to peddle lies and half-truths to suit their narrative.

One such untruth that the entire media propagated was that the chargesheet filed detailing the conspiracy terms Kapil Mishra as a ‘whistleblower’.

This untruth was propagated by several media outlets and journalists – from NDTV to Bar and Bench and propaganda outlets like The Quint.

NDTV described Kapil Mishra as a “hate speech neta” and claimed that the Delhi Police has called him a whistleblower in the chargesheet.

India Today followed suit and picked up exactly the same lie. In an article headlined, “Delhi riots: Is Kapil Mishra a whistleblower? Police chargesheet indicates so”, India Today claimed that “The Delhi Police seems to be saying that the conspirators were creating a “false narrative” to protect themselves. It also hints that the BJP leader Kapil Mishra could be one of the “whistleblowers” in the case of the Delhi riots”.

India Today article about Delhi Riots chargesheet No 59/2020

The Quint too quotes the chargesheet saying, “Indicative chats corroborating the fear of conspirators from being exposed. Conspirators resorted to shifting blame by creating a false narrative and threatened the whistleblowers”, insinuating that Kapil Mishra might have been the whistleblower the Delhi Riots Chargesheet spoke about.

Bar and Bench, that is regarded as a reliable source of authentic information on legal affairs also, maliciously peddled the same lie.

Bar and Bench article

The lies being peddled found resonance with Congress leader and their trolls as well. Several came out to peddle the exact same lie as reported by the media.

What is the truth? Has the Delhi riots chargesheet called Kapil Mishra a whistleblower?

All the media reports that have claimed that the Delhi riots chargesheet named Kapil Mishra as a ‘whistleblower’ have used the following screenshot to make that claim.

Screenshot from Chargesheet being used by the media

This image from Bar and Bench is the same image that has also been used by India Today to claim that the chargesheet calls Kapil Mishra as a “whistleblower”.

However, there is an important part of the same section that has been conveniently left out, deliberately or otherwise, by the media at large.

The chargesheet first says, “Indicative chats corroborating the fear of conspirators from being exposed. Conspirators resorted to shifting blame by creating a false narrative and threatened the whistleblowers”. Further, it also says that this has been corroborated by protected witnesses.

However, what is clinching is how the media cropped the image and left out a crucial part that explains how whistleblowers were being threatened.

First, one has to notice that the Delhi Police says “creating false narrative AND threatened whistleblower”. There are two elements to this. First, is the creation of the false narrative and second, of threatening whistleblowers.

In this section, the Delhi Police first shared screenshots of chats from the group “Delhi Protest Support Group” (DPSG) where Khalid Saifi, Rahul Roy etc were talking about getting an FIR filed against Kapil Mishra.

What is to be noticed is that the chat in the DSPG group took place at 24th February 1:00 AM when the violence had already erupted. The media, however, has conveniently ignored the entire 700 plus pages that detail the entire conspiracy since the 5th of December and focus on this part.

Coming back to the chargesheet itself, when the police quoted the chats pertaining to Kapil Mishra, it was indicating how the engineers of the riots who have even admitted their role in the conspiracy, like Khalid Saifi were attempting to implicate Mishra to shift the focus from themselves and create a “false narrative”.

The chats where “whistleblowers were being threatened” comes later in the same section where Kapil Mishra has no role to play.

Here is the part that the media conveniently cropped out.

What the media left out from the chargesheet

In this chat, after an entire day of rioting, Rahul Roy who was the creator of the DSPG group was threatening people about the messages from the group being leaked. What our subsequent report will show is that people within the DSPG group had admitted that the riots were instigated by the Muslims and the people in the DSPG group itself and that chat happened before the 25th.

Subsequently, an argument had ensued between Rahul Roy and the concerned people who had raised objection to their lives being endangered by the shenanigans of groups like Pinjra Tod and other Muslim masterminds.

It was only after that that on the 25th, Rahul Roy had threatened people from “leaking messages” from the group.

It is to be kept in mind that the Delhi Police has several protested witnesses who have corroborated that whistleblowers and those who raised objection to the orchestrated violence were being threatened and silence.

Thus, what the media has craftily done in this case is taken an over 3000-page final report and quoted only the part where the chargesheet mentions Kapil Mishra and that too, quoted out of context while shielding the chat that was sent by Rahul Roy. It is almost as if the media simply searched for the word “Kapil Mishra” and weaved a false narrative out of it without even reading the entire chargesheet which is excruciatingly detailed.

Rahul Roy and wife Saba Dewan were earlier summoned by the Delhi Police in connection with masterminding the Delhi Riots. The DSPG group was started by short-film maker Rahul Roy and he is being investigated as one of the key conspirators of the riots.

Saba Dewan, Rahul Roy

Delhi Police had also rebut fake claim of Kapil Mishra being a whistleblower

The Delhi Police had also taken to Twitter to counter the fake claim made by the NDTV report terming Kapil Mishra as a whistleblower based on the chargesheet filed.

“Perhaps the narrative of the anchor would have been complete if the Delhi Police had not taken the full statement of Kapil Mishra. But probe does not happen in the studio in front of the camera. Hurt by the detailed statement of Kapil Mishra given on record, the anchor has tried to mislead the audience by ignoring the true whistle-blowers (who are protected witnesses)”, the statement added.

The police also rebutted the claim made by NDTV that riots had started when Kapil Mishra was present at Maujpur. The investigation has shown that the riots and stone-pelting had started at around 11 AM on 23rd February as part of a well-planned conspiracy. The first injured in the riots was admitted at the hospital at 12:15 PM, while Kapil Mishra had reached Maujpur at 3.30 PM on that day. This shows that anti-CAA protestors had started attacking the public and police in the morning of 23rd February itself before Kapil Mishra reached Maujpur.

‘The anchor has maliciously tried to weave a fiction by hiding these facts. But NDTV’s own report that the DCP was wearing anti-riot gear and stone pelting was going on, knowingly or unknowingly supports the version mentioned in the charge sheet that stone-pelting had started around 11 AM itself’, the statement by Delhi Police further added.

Forensic report rules out rape angle in Hathras case, deliberate attempt to instigate caste violence in state: ADG

A lot of debate and political mu slinging has been happening around the Hathras case since the victim succumbed to her injuries in Delhi’s Safdarjung hospital on Tuesday morning. Hathras Police on Thursday said that “forced sexual intercourse” has not been established in the post-mortem report yet. The post mortem report had mentioned neck injury due to strangulation as the cause of death.

On Tuesday, the victim of an alleged gang-rape died in Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi. She was allegedly raped two weeks ago. The case attracted nationwide outrage when some reports claimed Hathras Police forcefully cremated the girl on Tuesday night without consent of the family members. The police had later stated that the victim’s father was present during the cremation.

Speaking to ANI, ADG Prashant Kumar has informed today that the forensic reports that were awaited have also been received now. ADG stated that the FSL report has found no sperm or semen in the samples collected from the victim’s body. He asserted that it concludes that there was no sexual assault, as was predicted from the post mortem report.

ADG Prashant Kumar further stated that despite swift action by the police to arrest the attackers and repeated clarifications in the case, certain groups have been involved to instigate caste-based violence based on false claims and misinformation.

He added that the police will identify elements who have spread fake news and twisted facts to gain political milage from the case.

The UP police has already arrested the four culprits in the case.

SP Vikram Vir, speaking to ANI, stated that the Special Investigation Team is currently in the city. They have visited the crime and scene and spoke to the family members on Wednesday.

On September 14, the victim was hospitalised after she was attacked by a group of men who had strangulated her. The police had stated that media reports claiming that she victim was brutalised, had her tongue cut, eyes gouged out and spine broken, are all false. They had stated that the victim was violently strangulated which had caused her to bite and injure her tongue, also causing spinal damage.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently talked to the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, and asked for strict action against the culprits.

CM Yogi ordered the formation of SIT to investigate the case. The trial will be conducted in a fast track court. SIT will submit its report in seven days. CM Yogi also talked to the father of the victim and ensured strict action against the culprits. As per the reports, the media will not be allowed in SIT meetings. The UP government has also announced an ex-gratia compensation of Rs 25 lakhs for the bereaved family.

Priyanka and Rahul Gandhi travelling to meet victim’s family despite section 144

Congress party’s Priyanka Gandhi and her brother Rahul Gandhi are on their way to meet the victim’s famly. Section 144 of CrPC has been imposed in the area to control the law and order situation. As per the law, more than five people can not gather after the imposition of section 144. In a video statement, Sonia Gandhi launched an attack on the Yogi government, saying that the people of India are sad and angry. The rape victim was “killed by a ruthless government,” she added.

As per the latest reports, the motorcade with Priyanka and Rahul along with several Congress workers has been stopped on the Yamuna Expressway, almost 150 km away from Hathras. The Congress scions have announced that they will proceed on foot.

Hypocrisy, thy name Rohini Singh: The Wire employee outrages selectively depending on caste and religious identity of victim and perpetrator

The unfortunate incident at Hathras has the nation’s emotions running high. 19-year-old Dalit girl was reportedly strangulated by four men on 14th September, 2020 in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh. Over a week later, she gave a statement to police that she was also gang-raped by the four men. Days later, she succumbed to her injuries. A crime as heinous as rape invokes extreme anger and rightly so.

While the girl said she was raped, the initial medical report has stated that the rape cannot be confirmed. Hathras SP has said that the medical report from Aligarh hospital mentions the injuries inflicted upon her but does not confirm forced sexual intercourse. The doctors are not confirming rape yet. FSL reports are still awaited.

Close on the heels of Hathras horror, a 22-year-old Dalit girl was gang-raped in Balrampur also in Uttar Pradesh. But did it invoke same angry reactions? No.

Rohini Singh and selective outrage on rapes

The Wire employee Rohini Singh seems to have taken charge on being the brand ambassador of ‘liberal’ hypocrisy when it comes to crimes.

This is what she had to say when she was questioned why is she bringing in the caste angle in the Hathras rape and murder case.

She claimed that rape is not only about sex but about power and ‘showing a woman her place’. She claimed that when Dalit women are raped by upper caste men, it is usually a ‘lesson’ rapists want to give to her community. Since the person who questioned her had ‘Mishra’, an upper caste, surname, she won’t understand, claimed Singh, an upper caste person herself. How do you think she reacted when she heard about the Balrampur rape and murder case? A 22-year-old Dalit woman was raped by two men, Shahid and Salil.

Suddenly, when the perpetrators of heinous crime on a Dalit woman are not ‘upper caste Hindus’ but two Muslim youth, the same crime becomes a matter of ‘lawlessness’. So you see, the reaction and severity of the same changes for similar crimes only because perpetrators are not ‘upper caste Hindus’.

Further, while accusing the UP Police of not being prompt in taking action, she tweeted something like this:

Singh is visibly angry at Uttar Pradesh chief minister.

Now, here is what has happened. In Congress-ruled Rajasthan, two minor girls, aged 13 and 15, in Baran said on camera that they were gang-raped by two men. The girls accused that the men took them to Kota, Jaipur and Ajmer and raped for three days. The boys were also reportedly minor.

Rajasthan Chief Minister tweets how it is unfair to compare the two incidents because the same two minor girls said in front of magistrate that they had gone with the two boys on their own will. Singh retweets it.

Ashok Gehlot’s tweet retweeted by Rohini Singh
Ashok Gehlot’s tweet retweeted by Rohini Singh

Gehlot is essentially saying that since two minor girls said in front of a magistrate that they went on their own, what they said in front of a camera previously would be false, right? And whatever happened to the fact that sex with minor, even if consensual, is rape. Rohini Singh retweeted these tweets only to undo the retweets later. She perhaps realised how Gehlot’s little tweet theory is flawed.

May called out Singh’s hypocrisy over her selective outrage on rapes. While the ‘accused’ hypocrites here might say that they are seeking justice in both the cases, such criticism has a point. In the first case, Singh and many other ‘liberals’ like her saw the identity of the victim and perpetrator as relevant detail and in fact, they vehemently disagreed when someone said ‘don’t bring caste’.

Journalist Pallavi Ghosh was mercilessly abused when she said that the rape case should not be reduced to caste identities.

She was also accused of ‘preaching’ Dalit on how to tell their story as she comes from a place of privilege. A bit rich coming from those who are doing exactly that: preaching Dalits on how to tell their stories. So what makes them not make identity a focus in the second incident of rape? Where two Muslim men raped a Dalit woman?

Do they think religion is never a factor like caste in a crime? The idea itself is absurd because religion plays a part in society, in shaping a group’s or a person’s thinking as much as caste. Then why they leave out religion? They started with ‘terrorism has no religion and went to Hindu terror’ in matter of few years. But now within a matter of literally few hours, they have gone from ‘rape has a caste’ to ‘rape has no religion’.

One can only marvel at such hypocrisy.

Hathras case gets politicised: Priyanka Gandhi Vadra shares video of the victim’s father where he is being prompted to demand ‘court monitored CBI probe’

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vardra today shared a video of the father of the Hathras gang rape victim alleging that he is being pressurised and the whole family is kept under house arrest. She claimed that the family is not satisfied by the investigation being conducted by the UP Police in the case.

In the video shared by her, the victim’s father with half of his face covered can be seen speaking. However, if one listens carefully, another voice also can be heard in the background prompting him to say certain things on the camera. The father can be heard alleging that the District Magistrate made him and two others sign a paper and that they were pressurised. However, before he completes his sentence he pauses for a while and then says the full sentence as if reading something (at 0:20).

Again, when the father demands that the case should be inquired by a Supreme Court judge, he pauses for a while and a voice in the background says “CBI Jaanch” (CBI inquiry) (at 0:32). The father then adds that the CBI should investigate the matter.

The same voice in the background can be heard murmuring “dabaav banaya tha” (you were pressurised) (at 0:42) after which the father nods and says that he is indeed being pressurised by officials and that his family is kept under arrest. He further said the media is not being allowed around his house.

An SIT has been formed by Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath to investigate the matter. The state government has also announced a compensation of Rs 25 lakh for the family and the job of Junior Assistant will also be given to one of the members from the family of the victim.

Two minor girls from Baran say on camera that they were gang-raped, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot claims they were ‘not forced’

Yesterday it was reported that two minor girls, aged 13 and 15, from Baran in Rajasthan, were taken to Kota, Jaipur and Ajmer and were raped for three days. The two sisters have reportedly admitted on camera that the two boys had abducted them, drugged them and raped for days.

Despite their statement, Rajasthan CM and Congress senior leader Ashok Gehlot has taken to Twitter to claim that the minor girls were not ‘forced’. He claims that they went with the boys on their own free will. The Rajasthan CM Tweeted that the girls have themselves admitted in front of the magistrate in their CrPC section 164 statement that they were not forced by the boys, who he claims were also minors.

He said that the girls are being given medical treatment and the investigation in underway.

According to reports, the Rajasthan police has also denied allegations of gang-rape. A cop has reportedly said that the girls denied the rape allegation in their statement. The family of the two minor girls have, however, alleged that they were threatened not to file a complaint against the accused.

Victims admit in front of camera that they were gang-raped, Rajasthan police and CM Ashok Gehlot downplay the incident

Yesterday, it was reported, that the father of the victims had urged police to help him get justice. When the girls tried to tell police officers about the incident, the accused had allegedly threatened to kill them in front of the police.

The father of the minor girls told police that the two accused, also minors, lured his daughters on the night of September 18 to leave the district with them. They were then taken to Kota and Jaipur where they were raped by the two minor boys and three others for three consecutive days, the father alleged. The two girls were found in Kota on 21st September.

While police and CM Ashok Gehlot claim that the minor girls denied allegations of rape in their statement, the two admitted on camera to having been drugged and gang-raped.
