According to the reports, the 35-year-old BJP functionary, who was a Dalit, was killed by an unidentified gang on Tuesday. Ranganathan had recently joined BJP after quitting AIADMK and was appointed as the BJP Youth wing president of Kundumaaranappalli village.

As per reports, on Tuesday, Ranganathan was celebrating his son’s birthday along with his family members. An unidentified gang forcefully entered his house and picked up a fight with him. As Ranganathan ran towards the street to escape from the attackers, the gang chased him and attacked him with machete clubs and other deadly weapons.

The severely injured BJP leader died on the spot. The unknown assailants left the spot after attacking the BJP leader. Later, Ranganathan’s relatives took him to Kelamangalam Government Hospital for treatment where the doctors pronounced him dead. The police seized the body and sent it to Hosur Government Hospital for autopsy. The deceased BJP leader has a wife and two sons.

The deceased Ranganathan was 38, and reportedly worked as a bus driver of a private school.

Family stages protest demanding justice

Following the brutal murder, the enraged relatives and villagers staged a protest at Kundumaaranappalli main road demanding the arrest of the murderers. The family refused to take the body for the funeral.

The traders and the shop owners closed their shops to express solidarity with Ranganathan’s family. Meanwhile, the BJP state vice president Narendran, district president Nagaraj and other BJP cadres also joined the protest.

District Joint Superintendent Sakthivel rushed to the spot to calm the protesting crowd. The police assured the family that they would arrest the culprits soon. After getting the assurance, the family withdrew their agitation.

The Kelamangalam Police are investigating the case and they suspect that a previous enmity has been the reason for the murder of the BJP leader. The police have arrested 9 persons arrested in connection with the case.

The murder of the BJP leader has created tense moments in Kelamangalam. The police have deployed additional forces to the spot in view of the prevailing tension.

Illegal Pakistani immigrants a cause of worry for Greece, aggressive behaviour, harassment of female co-worker reported

0

In a crackdown against illegal Pakistani immigrants, the Greek authorities had held 30 illegally living Pakistanis on Crete Island recently after they displayed ‘aggressive behaviour’ at the workplace.

According to the reports, a Pakistani man had harassed a Greek girl at their workplace recently. Following the incident, many angry Greeks confronted Pakistanis and attacked a mosque at Tympaki on Crete Island.

Around 30 illegal Pakistanis were held captive by Greeks after they displayed aggressive behaviour against Greeks during the last week of August 2020. They were released only after intervention by the Pakistani Embassy, Athens.

“A mosque being used by Pakistanis at Tympaki on Crete Island was attacked by 200-300 Greek youths in the evening of 10.09. The provocation for the attack was the harassment of a Greek girl by a Pakistani man at their workplace,” said reports.

Meanwhile, the Pakistani community of Greece led by Javed Aslam Arian has called these incidents as racist and fascist.

The illegal immigration from Pakistan and Afghanistan have become a huge concern for Greece authorities. The authorities want to evict over 10,000 illegal immigrants, who are currently staying in Greece.

Greece has already started to deport illegal immigrants from Pakistan. In late July, the first flight to return illegal immigrants of Pakistani nationality back to their country of origin took off from Athens International Airport. The authorities had deported 30 Pakistanis who had illegally entered Greece.

Narendra Modi and the ‘lucky’ Rajkot (west) seat which paved his journey from RSS pracharak to Prime Minister of India

Born on 17th September, 1950, Narendra Modi has had a long standing association with the voluntary nationalist organisation, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). During then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi imposed Emergency, RSS appointed him as the general secretary of the “Gujarat Lok Sangharsh Samiti”, to coordinate opposition to the Emergency in Gujarat. When Indira Gandhi banned RSS, Modi had to go into hiding to avoid arrest.

He became the pracharak with the Sangh in late 1970s in Gujarat and later went to Delhi. In mid-80s, he returned to Gujarat and joined the BJP where he worked to strengthen the organisation. After friction with former BJP leader Shankersinh Vaghela, he was sent to Delhi to oversee BJP activities in Himachal Pradesh and Haryana. Eventually, Vaghela defected to Congress. Modi continued to be away from Gujarat till 2001 when Keshubhai Patel-led BJP government in Gujarat was facing severe backlash over allegations of corruption, abuse of power and poor administration after the devastating 2001 earthquake.

Keshubhai Patel resigned over his ill health and Narendra Modi, who had never held a public post was made the Chief Minister. Modi, however, needed to be elected as a Member of Legislative Assembly within six months of swearing in as Chief Minister to hold the post.

Rajkot (West), the lucky seat

The Rajkot (West), formerly called Rajkot II seat, is the ‘lucky’ seat where BJP leaders believe they are assured of victory. Vajubhai Vala, who is currently the Governor of Karnataka, then vacated his seat Rajkot (West) for Modi to contest the by-elections. Vala had been winning this seat since 1985 assembly elections.

In February 2002, three seats in Gujarat were going for by-elections: Rajkot (West), where Modi was contesting elections for the first time, Mahua and Sajayjiganj. BJP was holding all three seats. When results were announced on 24th February 2002, while Congress managed to snatch Mahua and Sayajiganj from the BJP, Modi won Rajkot (West) with 14,728 votes.

He then went on to win three elections in Gujarat as Chief Minister and eventually became the Prime Minister of India. Current Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani is also an MLA from Rajkot (West) since 2014. No wonder that when Modi was filing his nomination for 2019 elections, Rajkot wanted their son to contest from their Lok Sabha constituency for the added ‘luck factor’.

The rest, as they say, is history.

Kanagana Ranaut calls Urmila Matondkar a ‘soft porn star’ after Urmila attacks her asking to talk about drugs in its ‘origin’ Himachal Pradesh

After the actor Kangana Ranaut exposed the Bollywood’s nexus with the drug mafia, several Hindi film stars have come out to attack Kangana. After actor and MP Jaya Bachchan attacked Ranaut yesterday, today another actor turned-politician Urmila Matondkar launched an attack on her.

Urmila Matondar gave interviews to multiple TB news channels today, where she advised Kangana to start fighting the drug menace from her home state Himachal Pradesh, saying that it is the origin of drugs. She said that if Kangana have any information about illegal drugs in Bollywood, she should look at her state Himachal Pradesh, and she should go to the authorities rather than tweeting about it.

“The entire country is facing the menace of drugs. Does she know Himachal is the origin of drugs? She should start from her own state”, Urmila said in an interview given to India Today.

She also slammed Kangana for getting Y-category security from the union government after she received threats from Shiv Sena leaders including the Maharashtra home minister. “Why did this person who has been given Y-security from the taxpayers’ money didn’t give information about the drug nexus to the police?” she asked.

The former Congress leader also objected to the language used by Kangana Ranaut in her videos slamming the Maharashtra government. “Which girl from a civilised cultured house would use this kind of language? Like kya ukhaad loge, kiska baap ka kya hai”, she asked in an interview given to NDTV. Urmila further attacked Kangana accusing her of defaming the Mumbai city. She said that she will never tolerate any defamatory remark against the city.

Urmila also attacked Kangana for replying to Jaya Bachchan’s attack on Kangana, saying ‘When Kangana was not even born, Jaya Bachchan was in the film industry’. She added that Kangana can’t lash out at senior colleagues, saying it is against Indian culture and in extreme bad taste.

Kangana hits back

It didn’t take long for Kangana to respond to Urmila’s comments against her. In an interview with Times Now, Kangana referred to Urmila as soft-port star. She said that the Urmila’s interview on her was derogatory, and Urmila was mocking her struggles. Kangana said that Urmila was attacking her saying that she was trying to please BJP for a ticket. She added that she does not need to please anyone to get a ticket.

“Even Urmila Matondkar, she is soft porn star, she is not known for her acting for sure, what is she known for, for doing soft porn, right? If she can get a ticker, why wont I get a ticket?” asked the firebrand actor. Kangana said that it is easy to get tickets from political parties, and she would not need to get her office demolished for that.

It may be noted that Urmila Matondkar had joined Congress just ahead of Lok Sabha elections last year, and she was given a ticket to contest the election from Mumabi North. She had lost the elections with a huge margin, and she had left the party just 5 months after joining.

BJP leader Nitesh Rane writes to Amit Shah seeking security for Disha Salian’s fiance Rohan Rai, alleges there may be pressure from ‘influential people’

0

Maharashtra BJP leader Nitesh Rane has written a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah requesting him for security for Rohan Rai, the fiance of Disha Salian, the former celebrity manager of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Rane has alleged in the letter that Rai might be scared to return Mumbai due to pressure from “influential people” and his statement could be crucial in unravelling the mystery of Salian and Rajput’s death.

In his letter to the Home Minister, Rane wrote, “I am writing to draw your attention to the ongoing investigation in the death of Sushant Singh Rajput and his former manager Disha Salian, both of whom have died in mysterious circumstances. It is surprising that Rohan Rai, a young budding actor who was Disha’s live-in partner has not ever been questioned by the Mumbai police for details on what could have led to Disha’s death on June 8, 2020, when she was found lying on the ground on her building compound in Malad-Malvani in Mumbai.”

Disha had died after falling from the 14th floor of the building, with the Mumbai police ruling it as suicide. Just a week later Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his apartment in Mumbai’s Bandra suburb. Rane drew attention towards the delay of 20-25 minutes by Rohan in reaching the spot to highlight his suspicious behaviour.

“Rohan was present in the house when she allegedly fell from the high rise building but despite that, it is said that he went down to the spot only 20 or 25 minutes later, which points to suspicious behaviour,” he added.

Rane further added that some “influential people” may have pressurised Rohan after which he fled Mumbai and is now scared to return to the city.

“I request you to kindly provide him with security so that he is safe when he returns to Mumbai. His statement to the CBI will be crucial to the ongoing investigation and a key link to unravelling both deaths—of Disha and Sushant since it is my strong belief that both these deaths are linked,” Rane said.

What Rhea is to Sushant Singh’s death case, fiance Rohan Rai is to Disha Salian’s case: BJP leader Nitish Rane

A couple of days back, Rane had thrown light on an unexplored angle in the death of Sushant Singh Rajput’s former manager, Disha Salian.

“Just like Rhea is the closest link to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, the nearest to Disha Salian’s death is her fiance Rohan Rai”. Saying so, BJP MLA Nitish Rane has said that the CBI should investigate the role of Rohan Rai into celebrity manager Disha Salian’s suicide case as well.

Raising questions on Disha Salian’s fiance Rohan Rai disappearance since her death on June 8, the BJP MLA in an interview with Republic Bharat claimed that Disha’s fiance knows the ‘truth about June 8’ and is allegedly in hiding.

Trump campaign’s ‘4 more years’ video featuring PM Modi becomes blockbuster success, gains 10 million-plus impressions

A video released by the Trump campaign in an effort to woo Indian origin voters ahead of US Presidential elections has become a blockbuster success. The video titled 4 more years was released in August this year as part of the Trump campaign, and according to data, it has gained more than 10 million impressions so far.

The video, featuring clips of Narendra Modi and Donald Trump at various events, was the brainchild of Al Mason, co-chair of the Trump Victory finance committee – Indian Americans. The video included clips from Howdy Modi event in the USA and the Namaste Trump event in India, to showcase the growing closeness between the two nations.

The “4 More Years” video was released by the Trump Campaign during the Republican National Convention in August, and it was posted by Trump’s advisor Kimberly Guilfoyle on Twitter on 23rd August. “America enjoys a great relationship with India and our campaign enjoys great support from Indian Americans!” she had commented while sharing the video.

With the Biden camp having Kamala Harris as the vice-presidential candidate, the Republicans are banking on the Modi-Trump partnership to woo the Indian-origin voters. After Modi having won a bigger victory in 2019 in his re-election as Indian PM, if Trump is re-elected, the two larger than life personalities will take their true friendship to the next level, said Sridhar Chityala, a former banking executive and current member of the Advisory Board, Indian Voices for Trump. “Trump Modi will change the discourse of world politics – change the balance of power in the world- change the dynamics of world trade and economy,” he added.

Talking about the video, he said he would rank with any classical theatrical production that was released with a teaser trailer. “The video does full justice to the Trump-Modi partnership built on trust, respect, recognition and warmth”, he said. Sridhar Chityala has been tracking the data on the viewership of the 4 more years video, and according to his estimates the video has crossed 10 million impressions.

Al Mason, who had conceptualised the video, had said during its launch, “The video depicts great friendship and love between India- US – cemented by the emotional bond between Prime Minister Modi and President Trump. Trump is much loved by the community.”

Pro-Khalistani group Sikhs for Justice launches recruitment drive in India for ‘Referendum 2020’

0

Banned pro-Khalistani group Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) has announced a door-to-door campaign for registration of voters supporting its separatist agenda called ‘Referendum 2020’. Anti-terrorist agencies have alerted the law-enforcement agencies in the states after the announcement.

The US-based pro-Khalistani group has come up with a new strategy after it failed to attract supporters for ‘Referendum 2010’ on Canadian and Russian portals. The group plans to recruit 1000 ambassadors for Referendum 2020 who will be provided with a monthly stipend of Rs 7,500.

The SFJ is aiming to cover 12,000 villages in Punjab within 30 days starting from September 21. The extremist group had announced earlier that they plan to hold Referendum 2020 in November this year. It has selected Punjab, Delhi and Jammu and Kashmir to launch its online voter registration on July 4. SFJ’s General Counsel Gurpatwant Singh Pannun who is is a designated terrorist, made the announcement about Referendum 2020 today and said that India is ‘disenfranchising’ the people of Punjab by blocking the access of websites and mobile apps of the group. The Ministry of Home Affairs had declared the SFJ an unlawful association under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. Its leaders including, Pannun, Najjar were also declared as terrorists under the Act.

The terrorist group had earlier tried to lure farmers of Punjab by offering Rs 3,500 to each farmer as grant ahead of Referendum 2020. The group had announced that it would be providing money on a monthly basis to farmers who could not pay their loans. The MHA had ordered the properties of SFJ leaders to be attached earlier this month on the recommendation of the National Investigating Agency (NIA).

The SFJ is also reportedly trying to mobilise the Sikh diaspora and for the at purpose it is organising meetings in the US to further its agenda. The terrorist group also has the backing of Pakistan which provides it monetary as well as logistic support.

Chinese PLA troops along the LAC blare Punjabi songs and Hindi messages on loudspeakers in an effort to demoralise Indian forces

With the Indian troops commanding heights in the eastern Ladakh and overlooking Chinese positions along the Line of Actual Control, an anxious People Liberation Army (PLA) has resorted to psychological warfare to demoralise the Indian troopers deployed at the rarefied altitudes during the bitter winter, says a report published in Hindustan Times. The Chinese forces have started using loudspeakers to play messages and music aimed at Indian troops.

The PLA Army on the southern banks of the Pangong Tso Lake, where the Indian Army had ‘readjusted’ its positions along the strategic heights, have used loudspeakers to communicate with the Indian forces. As a part of its psychological warfare, the Chinese PLA soldiers stationed at the southern bank of Pangong Tso lake spoke in mangled Hindi to their Indian counterparts about the futility of being deployed at such heights during the winter on the sudden and impulsive decisions by the Indian politicians back in Delhi.

Similarly, the PLA troops deployed at the northern bank of Pangong Lake Tso played Punjabi songs on the loudspeakers. However, the Indian Army was not impressed by the antics pulled off by the Chinese military, and the officers commanding the position had a hearty laugh after the PLA soldiers started playing out Punjabi scores to lure the adversary into lowering their guard on the simmering LAC.

Chinese psychological warfare to subdue the enemy without fighting

The Chinese tried to pull down the morale of the Indian soldiers and sow seeds of dissatisfaction among them by pointing out that they don’t get proper meals and logistical support from their government. This is an old-trick, pulled out from the Chinese playbook of the 1962 war, said a former Indian Army Chief. He added that the Chinese used similar tactics in 1962 skirmishes in the western and eastern sectors as well during the 1967 Nathu La skirmish to dispirit the enemy forces.

“The Indian Armed Forces were foxed about the Punjabi songs on Finger 4. Maybe, the PLA thought that troops from Punjab were holding on to the higher heights of Finger 4 feature,” said the former army chief.

Chinese rattled after the Indian Army made ‘readjustments’ along the LAC to dominate the strategic heights

Ever since the Indian Army outwitted the PLA in the Chushul and Pangong Tso Lake region, occupying the strategic heights, the Chinese have been thoroughly rattled by the daring audacity of the Indian forces. The Chinese military first tried to militarily cow the Indians by swiftly moving in tanks and infantry combat vehicles. However, the Indian forces made it clear that there would be retaliation if the Chinese cross the line on either bank of the Pangong Tso lake.

Chinese had however tried to carry out provocative military movements to alter the status quo in the intervening night of August 29 and 30, but the Indian Armed Forces personnel thwarted their nefarious intentions by pre-empting their movements on the Southern Bank of the Pangong Tso lake and strengthening their positions to stop the unilateral Chinese expansionism.

Shaheen Bagh ‘activist’ Aiman Rizwi accuses RSS of forcibly putting Karsevaks in train and setting in on fire at Godhra, repeats lies of Sanjiv Bhatt against Modi

Youtuber Aiman Rizwi is back with two more videos in which she talked in support of jailed ex-IPS officer Sanjiv Bhatt. Both videos were uploaded on 15th September. In the first video, she blamed RSS for the death of 56 Karsewaks in Godhara. She said that RSS forcefully lodged Karsewaks on the train and burnt it.

In the video, Rizwi alleged that not even a single Karsewak who died in the Godhra incident was from the upper class. All of the burnt victims were from a lower caste that went to Ayodhya to demolish the disputed structure. Similar misinformation was spread by fiction writer Arundhati Roy as well. However, she missed the fact that the demolition of the disputed structure happened in 1992, while the Godhra incident took place in 2002.

She alleged that the conspiracy of the 2002 Gujarat riots was developed in 1990 to establish a base for the BJP government. Rizwi blamed PM Modi for the death of lakhs of Muslims. Interestingly, a total of 1044 deaths were reported as per government records, which is nowhere close to lakhs.

She claimed that in a meeting, then CM Narendra Modi asked the authorities not to take any action against Hindus and let them kill Muslims as revenge for the Godhra incident. Her claims are based on Bhatt’s statement about the meeting. However, the Nanavati-Mehta Commission report said that Sanjiv Bhatt was not even present in the meeting in which he claimed such instructions were given.

She also mentioned Kafeel Khan, who was jailed twice by UP Police in the last three years. First, he was jailed in the case related to the death of children in Gorakhpur hospital. Then, in 2020, he was jailed for giving a provocative speech during anti-CAA protests. She said that he was jailed because he was a Muslim, and Bhatt was jailed for being a good human. She compared both of them with Mahatma Gandhi and said that he was also killed by RSS for being truthful.

Rizwi claimed then after several attempts when the Modi government could not trap Bhatt in any case, they picked an old pending case from 1990 and blamed him for the death of a person in police custody. She alleged that Bhatt was suspended from his job based on this case. Interestingly, Bhatt was suspended in 2011 for unauthorized absence from duty.

She further alleged that Yogi Government killed ten police officers in Uttar Pradesh and hinted the Vikas Dubey case was a UP Government’s doing. However, Vikas Dubey was an infamous gangster with over 60 cases filed against him. His contacts in Police leaked the information about the raid to Dubey that led to the death of eight police officers resulting in a full-fledged search by UP Police.

In the second video, she continued her rant about Sanjiv Bhatt. While blaming the government and Brahmins for spreading superstitions, she alleged that Ram Mandir Bhoomi Pujan was done on an inauspicious date, which was a lie spread by Congress leaders such as Digvijay Singh. Rizwi further alleged that Bhoomi Pujan was done keeping upcoming elections in Bihar, UP, and West Bengal in mind.

She mentioned a few cases, including the death of Justice Lohiya, and blamed RSS. At the end of the video, she claimed that 90 percent of people in India had lost their jobs and businesses. She urged people to use their mobiles and post videos against the government.

Several anti-Hindu and anti-India Youtubers have emerged in the last few years. Recently, UP Police arrested Heer Khan for posting a derogatory video on Maa Sita and Ayodhya.
