Arvind Kejriwal lies: AAP Supremo had promised 15 lakh CCTV cameras for Delhi more than once during 2015 elections

Ahead of Delhi assembly elections, AAP Supremo Arvind Kejriwal, who had earned himself a monicker of ‘u-turn’ owing to the countless number of times he backtracked on his promises, is upping his ante and outright rejecting he had ever made such promises. One such promise has been about 15 lakh CCTV cameras he had promised to Delhi ahead of 2015 elections.

In his townhall with media house News Nation, Arvind Kejriwal, when asked about 15 lakh CCTV cameras promise made in 2015 claimed that he never made such a promise.

At around 14:32 in the above video, one can see Kejriwal responding to the question on promise of 15 lakh CCTV cameras in Delhi. The News Nation journalist asks whether he had ever made a promise of installing 15 lakh CCTV cameras in Delhi. Kejriwal very confidently says, “never”. He says, “We had promised that we will instal as many cameras in Delhi as needed and we have already started the work.” The journalist then asks Kejriwal where the 15 lakh figure came from. Kejriwal dismisses it by saying Home Minister Amit Shah has conjured up the figure on his own.

Except, it is a big, fat lie. Kejriwal has not only promised 15 lakh CCTV cameras, but he has reiterated the promise more than once.

Kejriwal’s 15 lakh CCTV promise

During 2015 AAP Manifesto release, Kejriwal had listed out various steps his government would take to ensure women’s safety should they be elected to power.

At around 12:30 in the video, Kejriwal says 10-15 lakh CCTV cameras would be put up across Delhi. “If for Barack Obama’s visit to India we could put up 15,000 CCTV cameras in Delhi, then for the safety of our mothers and sisters it is a very small thing to install 10 to 15 lakh cameras,” Kejriwal said back in 2015.

He reiterated the same promise at another point in time.

At around 1 minute 8 seconds in the video, Kejriwal had again promised he would instal 10-15 lakh CCTV cameras across Delhi.

Perhaps he may want to reconsider who really is the ‘jhooth ki factory’ here.

Fear Allah, worship Him alone: Watch, as Islamic cleric warns ‘children of Godse’ of China like fate where people are dying of Corona virus

0

In an outlandish statement, controversial Muslim cleric Ilyas Sharafuddin has stated that Allah has punished the Chinese by unleashing Corona virus on them for their brutal crackdown on Uighur Muslims.

In an audio address, Ilyas called the deadly Corona virus outbreak as a punishment of Allah on China for mistreating Uighur Muslims.

“Remember how they have threatened the Muslims and tried to destroy lives of 20 million Muslims. Muslims were forced to drink alcohol, their mosques were destroyed and their Holy Book was burned. They thought that no one can challenge them, but Allah the most powerful punished them,” said Ilyas.

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvP4wJzaCP4]

Remember Romans, Persian, and Russians who were arrogant and stood against Islam but all were destroyed by Allah, said Ilyas.

Launching an attack on Hindus, the controversial cleric warned the right-wing outfits in India to refrain from attacking the Muslims and called them “Children of Godse” and “Hindutva terrorists”.

“Beware! Fear Allah before it is too late. Worship him alone. Do not stop people from going to Masjids, do not stop Muslims from practising Islam, otherwise, you too along with the Chinese will be destroyed,” said the rabid hate-mongering cleric.

He says that those (in India) having enmity against Islam and persecuting ‘innocent Muslims’ should “fear Allah” before it’s too late.

The deadly coronavirus has wreaked havoc in China, taking the death toll to 170 and the confirmed infection cases to nearly 7,000. Meanwhile, health experts have warned that the epidemic may reach its peak in the next 10 days resulting in large-scale casualties.

The Central Hubei province is the epicentre of the virus. The novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) outbreak may reach its peak in one week or around 10 days.

A lawyer and writer heckled at Shaheen Bagh while Rahul Kanwal walked off deliberately: Here is what really happened

On the 29th of January 2019, Rahul Kanwal of India Today decided to hold his Prime Time debate from Shaheen Bagh where Muslims are protesting against CAA and NRC.

Rahul Kanwal first went around asking the Shaheen Bagh protestors how they felt about the fact, that evidently, their protest is benefitting the BJP in the upcoming Delhi polls. After that, he proceeded to take soundbytes from his guests, that included journalist Saba Nazqi, senior journalist Javed Mansari, Political Analytics Manisha Priyam, lawyer Raghav Awasthi and writer Shantanu Gupta.

While the protesters spoke to Rahul Kanwal graciously, since he was favouring them, they heckled Lawyer Raghav Awasthi and writer Shantanu Gupta.

When it was Raghav Awasthi’s chance to talk, he started by saying that he admires the women who have braved the cold weather and are protesting for what they believe in, however, they should not allow people like Sharjeel Imam to misuse this platform. He also explained that the CAA has nothing to do with Indian citizens.

The moment Raghav said this, all hell broke loose. The crowd at Shaheen Bagh got enraged that Raghav had mentioned Sharjeel Imam. Soon, Raghav was pushed around and shoved while several people started chanting slogans. Raghav Awasthi says that the crowd started pointing at him and identifying him to everyone else as the person who had mentioned Sharjeel Imam and crowds started approaching him menacingly.

Sharjeel Imam is the mastermind of Shaheen Bagh protests who has now been arrested for making seditious statements and talking about cutting off Assam from India. The media and the Shaheen Bagh Islamists have been trying their best to whitewash Sharjeel and at the same time, distance him from the protests even though he was the mastermind of it. This could explain why the crowd got enraged upon hearing Sharjeel Imam’s name.

While the crowd at Shaheen Bagh identified Raghav, they said that “the man with long hair” named Sharjeel Imam. Then, while pointing at Shantanu, they said that he was too with the “man with the long hair”.

Raghav told OpIndia that there were several “protestors” from Shaheen Bagh who started pointing at him and saying that he had named Sharjeel Imam and that they should catch him.

Raghav Awasthi and Shantanu were also asked to leave the area while being pushed and shoved, though Raghav tells us that he refused to leave the stage since he and Shantanu were scared as to what might happen had they left alone. They were certainly scared that the “protestors” would try to harm them. According to Raghav, when they were being heckled, senior journalist Javed Mansari even tried to explain to the protestors that what Raghav had said about Sharjeel Imam may have been misunderstood and he only meant that the ‘movement’ should not be misused by people like him, but to no avail.

Later, Raghav Awasthi and Shantanu Gupta were escorted out from the back of the stage where the police have put up barricades and were taken to safety.

Raghav Awasthi later tweeted that Rahul Kanwal should ensure the safety of his guests and not ignore when they are being shoved and “dragged off-camera”.

Interestingly, Rahul Kanwal had not tweeted about this shameful incident at all. Only after Raghav tweeted to Rahul Kanwal, he feebly said that it “terrible” how they were not allowed to say their piece.

Raghav to that was surprised and said that what was most shameful is that the India Today crew and Rahul himself did nothing to stop the heckling.

Shantanu too narrated his ordeal and his story was the same as Raghav.

Further, Shantanu responded to Rahul Kanwal by saying that after their opening comments, Raghav and he were being pushed and heckled while Rahul Kanwal simply walked off. He also said that there was nobody from India Today to manage the crowd at that point of time.

This is the footage that someone cropped from the entire show and one can see that while in the background, the guests are being heckled, Rahul Kanwal simply walks away, taking the camera with him.

In another footage from the show that emerged later, one can see Raghav being heckled while Rahul Kanwal moves on to the next panellist. In fact, towards the end of this video, one finds Raghav missing from the frame as he was being dragged away and heckled while Rahul Kanwal carries on with his show.

Shantanu also confirmed the sequence saying that Rahul Kanwal took the camera away to show female protestors at Shaheen Bagh while the two were being pushed, heckled and dragged away.

Speaking to Opindia, Raghav said that India Today should have displayed some professionalism and not left their panellists to be lynched by the protestors at Shaheen Bagh. Further, Raghav said that while he was in Germany, he had out of curiosity attended a White Supremacist rally and even their, while the crowds chanted “Das ist unser Land” (This is our land), as a brown man he wasn’t as uncomfortable and scared as he was in Shaheen Bagh.

It is worthy to note that in an almost concerted and conscious effort to not show the Islamists at Shaheen Bagh in a negative light, India Today has not even uploaded the snippets of Shantanu and Raghav as they have for the other panellists.

Rahul Kanwal has had an agenda which has been clear for a long time, however, this is a new low even for him where his panellists were almost being lynched and he had nonchalantly moved on, ensuring that the camera does not capture how the Islamists at Shaheen Bagh were behaving. Further, the “journalist” who seems to be training under Rajdeep Sardesai, also of India Today, and outrages at the smallest reason, has not found his voice to even condemn the goons of Shaheen Bagh after this entire sequence of events.

Watch: Student says Rajasthan colleges got them to attend Rahul Gandhi’s Yuva Akrosh Rally by telling them they’re attending dance party

The ‘Yuva Akrosh’ rally organised by the Congress party at Albert Hall in Jaipur to relaunch Gandhi-scion Rahul Gandhi is now part of another controversy as students who were brought there have inadvertently revealed that the organisers brought them there by stating that it was a dance party.

In an video that has gone viral, a TV9 reporter asked few questions to the students rejoicing and dancing at the ‘Yuva Akrosh Rally’ as they waited for Rahul Gandhi to grace the venue. The rally was supposed to be Congress party’s protest against the so-called burning issues of the country.

In the video, it can be seen that the students are dancing to Bollywood tunes without even realising that the rally was organised to express anger against the Modi government. As the reporter approached one of the students, he asked why was she at the rally site?

A clueless student replied that the college authorities had informed students that the event was a dance programme. Perhaps, the ‘clueless’ students who were dancing to peppy Bollywood numbers did not know that they were present at the rally organised by the Congress party.

It is important to note that the government colleges in Rajasthan, perhaps on the instructions of the Congress government, had earlier issued notices to students informing them that their classes are cancelled for the day as they are required to be present at Rahul Gandhi’s rally.

It seems that the colleges in the state facing pressure from the state government, tricked students to attend Rahul Gandhi’s rally by stating that they were attending a dance event. The Congress party realising that there will be no takers for the Congress party’s so-called ‘Yuva Akrosh’ rally has lured the innocent students to attend a rally by falsely claiming that the event was a dance party.

After almost 7 months of sabbatical, senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi returned back to addressing a political rally in Jaipur, which was scheduled as a prelude to his yet another redemption. The Gandhi-scion, however, did not fail to impress his fans, as he yet again gave comic relief to his fans with his usual gaffes, baseless accusations and lies.

Addressing the youth of the country at the ‘Akrosh Rally’ in Jaipur, Rajasthan, the prince of goof-ups, merely two minutes into his power-packed speech, said, “Hindustan ka yuva berojgaari ke sapne dekhta hai”, which roughly translated as “The youth of the country dreams of unemployment”, while inadvertently also admitting that the Modi government is breaking the dreams of the youth.

Controversial doctor Kafeel Khan arrested in Mumbai for his hate speech at AMU during anti-CAA protest

0

On Wednesday, Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) arrested controversial ‘doctor’ Kafeel Khan for his inflammatory remarks during an anti-Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) protests in Aligarh.

Reportedly, Kafeel Khan was arrested in Mumbai for making a provocative speech at the Aligarh Muslim University campus during the protest on December 12. Activist Yogendra Yadav was the other speaker at the event.

Sahar Police Station in-charge Shashikant Mane confirmed the reports of Kafeel Khan’s arrest, saying he has been brought to the police station in Mumbai.

Khan was to speak again at the Mumbai Bagh protest venue. Imitating Delhi’s Shaheen Bagh, another ‘protest’ is being orchestrated there putting Muslim women in the front.

An FIR was filed against Kafeel for attempting to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere and disturb communal harmony. The FIR was registered under section 153-A (Promoting enmity between different groups on ground of religion) of IPC on the 13th of December.

In his speech, the controversial doctor Kafeel had said, “Mota Bhai(Home Minister Amit Shah) is teaching everyone to become Hindu or Muslim but not a human being. He is a murderer whose clothes are foul with blood. He does not believe in the constitution since the RSS came into existence. The CAB makes Muslims a second category citizen and subsequently, they will be harassed with the implementation of the NRC.”

Kafeel is further alleged to have said, “This is a fight is for our existence. We have to fight”. He also said that students in RSS schools are being taught that those who have beards are terrorists. He reportedly added, “through the CAB, the government has told us that India is not ‘our’ country.”

On the night of December 15, Delhi’s Jamia Nagar and AMU had seen violent riots breaking out. UP police had stated that despite the proctoral team’s attempt, many students had scaled the gates and had come outside to clash with the police and pelt stones.

Kafeel Khan is one of the accused in the BRD Medical College and Hospital children’s death case in Gorakhpur. He had taken to social media to spread false news that he had been given a ‘clean chit’ in the 2017 case in a departmental inquiry. The Uttar Pradesh government had in October initiated a fresh inquiry against him for spreading misinformation in the media and forcibly entering a hospital and trying to treat patients during his suspension period.

Allah has been delivering miracle food at Shaheen Bagh, claims a protester while talking to media

Aasif Toofani, a protestor at Shaheen Bagh has claimed that Allah miraculously sends food for the protestors sitting there, blocking roads as they protest against the passing of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). A video clipping of ABP News has gone viral on social media where Toofani claimed that the funds for the protests are also carried out by Allah.

At around 1:12 in the above video, Toofani says that he does not know where the money or the food comes from for the protests, but it just miraculously and naturally appears in the morning. “We just find all the material lying there miraculously. We just pick it up and distribute,” he says. To this, the journalist says that he wishes such miracle food appears across the world too.

The protestors at Shaheen Bagh in Delhi have been sitting on a dharna since over a month and a half now demanding roll back of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). The CAA fast-tracks Indian citizenship for persecuted religious minorities in three neighbouring Islamic countries, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh.

A group of protesters mostly comprising of Muslim women has been blocking a road in Kalindi Kunj area that connects Faridabad- New Delhi- Noida. This has led to traffic inconvenience, increasing travel time from 20 minutes to several hours.

In just a week, many incidents have surfaced which laid the secessionist agenda of the protestors was exposed. Earlier, a viral video had emerged which showed that these protestors were paid Rs 500-700 per day to ‘protest’. It is now sufficiently clear that this protest like all other anti-CAA riots, is anything but ‘organic’.

Huffington Post misquoted DGCA chief, airlines didn’t violate any rule by banning Kunal Kamra: DGCA clarifies

0

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has clarified that Huffington Post had misquoted the DGCA chief in a report with regards to the flight ban imposed on comedian Kunal Kamra for his unruly behaviour on an Indigo flight. A report published today by Huffington Post India had claimed that director general of DGCA Arun Kumar had said that the ban imposed by Indigo and other airlines on Kamra was a clear violation of rules.

The report had quoted Kumar as saying that the ban announced by IndiGo and other airlines including Air India, SpiceJet and GoAir on stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra is a clear violation of the Civil Aviation Requirement (CAR Section 3, Series M, Part Vl on “Handling of Unruly Passengers) rules revised in 2017. The DGCA chief had said that in case of any unruly behaviour restricted to verbal confrontation, the airlines should first impose a temporary ban of 30 days, and conduct an internal enquiry headed by a retired judge, the report had claimed.

“The airline should have waited for the internal enquiry to be completed before putting the passenger on the no-flyers list for six months,” the report at quoted the DGCA chief.

But now DGCA has said that Huffpost misquoted the Director General in its report. A statement issued by DGCA on its official Twitter handle said that the airlines didn’t violate any rule by banning Kunal Kamra for six months, as claimed by the report. DGCA says that the airlines didn’t violate the Civil Aviation Requirements (CAR) Section-3, Series M Part VI on Handling of unruly passengers as claimed by the report, and the action taken by them is in complete consonance with this rule.

DGCA further clarifies that the matter will be referred to the internal committee, and the committee will have to give final decision in 30 days, which will be binding on the airline.

The full text of the statement reads:

HUFFPOST has misquoted/misrepresented the facts as stated by the Director General of Civil Aviation in its News Item published today at 5:01PM.

This is to reiterate that the action taken by the airlines is in complete consonance with Civil Aviation Requirements (CAR) Section-3, Series M Part VI on Handling of unruly passengers.

Now the matter is to be referred to the internal committee as prescribed in para 6.1 of the said CAR. Further, as per para 6.4 of the CAR, the Internal committee is to give the final decision in 30 days by giving the reasons in writing, which shall be binding on the airline concerned. Punishment for different type of unruly behavior is also prescribed in the same CAR and the Internal Committee has to adhere to the same.

On January 28, Indigo Airlines had put Kunal Kamra on a No-Fly list after he had heckled and abused Arnab Goswami on a Mumbai-Lucknow flight of the airlines. Kunal had himself uploaded a video of the incident where he was seeing abusing Arnab Goswami on the flight, while the Republic editor was ignoring him by concentrating on something he was watching on his laptop by putting his earphones on. Later a co-passenger of the flight had told OpIndia that Kunal had delayed the flight by refusing the sit before the take-off, as he was demanding answers from Arnab by standing near him. Eventually, air-hostesses had to escort him to his seat so that the flight can take off. After take-off he had come back to Arnab and continued the abuses.

Due to such unruly behaviour, IndiGo had banned him, and later Air India, SpiceJet and GoAir also banned him from their airlines following advice by Union Minister for Civil Aviation Hardeep Sing Puri.

Shaheen Bagh mastermind Sharjeel Imam sent to five days of police custody by Delhi Court

0

A Delhi court on Wednesday sent Shaheen Bagh mastermind and JNU student Sharjeel Imam to 5 days of police custody. After evading 4 four days of arrest, Imam was arrested on Tuesday from Bihar’s Jehanabad in connection with making inflammatory and seditious speeches at the Jamia Millia University in Delhi and in Aligarh. Earlier today, he was brought to Delhi from Patna on transit remand after he spent Tuesday night in jail there.

Amidst heavy security, Imam was presented before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Purushottam Pathak in the evening who passed the order granting 5 days of custody to the Delhi police.

When it was known that Iman will be brought to the Patiala House Court to produce him before the magistrate, some lawyers in the court chanted slogans against him, and demanded that he should be hanged, calling him a traitor.

Many cases of sedition were registered against Sharjeel Imam following his secessionist speech urging Muslims to cut off North-east from the rest of the country during one of his speeches at Shaheen Bagh anti-CAA ‘protests’. Perhaps due to this reason, Sharjeel Imam was produced at the resident of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate in the evening.

At first, the Assam Police had registered a case under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act against Sharjeel Imam, said to be one of the organisers of the anti-citizenship amendment act protests at Shaheen Bagh.

Later, the Delhi Police filed an FIR against Imam under IPC section 153 for giving provocative statements with intent to cause riots. Another sedition case was also registered against Shaheen Bagh mastermind Sharjeel Imam by Itanagar Crime Branch. A case under section 124(A), 153 (A) and 153 (B) of the IPC were registered against him for provocation inciting secession of Assam and other Northeastern states from rest of India.

Inciting Muslims to take up arms against the Union of India, Sharjeel had said, “If 5 lakhs Muslims are organised then we can cut the North-east from rest of India. If we cannot do permanently, at least we can cut North-east from India for months. Our responsibility is to cut the Assam from India then Govt will hear our voice. If we have to help the Assam then we will have to cut the Assam from rest of India.”

Panic in China as video surfaces alleging that some patients are ‘spitting’ on others to deliberately spread deadly Coronavirus

0

As the Wuhan coronavirus spreads far beyond China’s borders to countries around the world claiming several lives, it is being alleged that some patients in China are trying to spread the disease by deliberately spitting at others.

According to a Metro UK report, a South African teacher named Jessika Bailing who works as a teacher in Wuhan said: “We are all so scared to go outside, I avoided it for as long as I could. I went to do a supply run, it was so terrifying. I covered myself from head-to-toe with gloves on my hands, glasses to cover my eyes and of course, my mask.”

She added, “I’ve heard shocking stories about infected people going out of their way to contaminate others by taking off their masks and spitting in doctors’ faces.”

“We’ve been told the virus can stay on objects for some time, so I made sure to wash all of the items I bought from the store, including packets of crisps, bottles of water, chocolate bars and even coffee sachets,” she said.

“I saw one video of a man spitting on all of the buttons in an apartment elevator,” said the South African teacher.

A disturbing unverified video recorded at a hospital’s CCTV emerged which showed infected people coughing and licking objects kept on the reception desk.

The outbreak of coronavirus in China and its eventual spread to other nations have created a situation of panic and medical emergency. The virus causes respiratory infection.

Early symptoms include fever and dry cough. It eventually causes shortness of breath. The most disturbing fact is that there is no available cure or vaccine available at this time.

On January 23 it was reported that several Malayali nurses in Saudi Arabia had been quarantined following exposure to a patient infected with the coronavirus. As per reports, the nurses have now been kept in isolation in a separate ward.

The Virus attack was confirmed initially in a Filipino woman and then spread to the Malayali nurse, an Ettumanoor native when she attended her for treatment. The coronavirus case has been reported in the Al Hayat National Hospital in Saudi Arabia’s Baha.

The death toll has already reached a staggering number of 132, most of whom lived in China’s Wuhan city. There have been more than 6100 confirmed cases of contra virus exposure since the outbreak began almost a month ago. Most patients are between 55-87 years old. As such, many tourist places have been shut down and festivities cancelled.

Most affected is the Wuhan city, where the virus outbreak was first reported. Along with Wuhan, the Chinese authorities have locked down 18 cities in the country to prevent the virus from spreading. All flights, trains and other modes of transportation going out these cities have been suspended, meaning people in these places can’t leave the cities.

This had prompted the World Health Organization (WHO) to issue guidelines to prevent exposure to the virus and its further transmission. The organization is now closely monitoring the situation along with the Chinese authorities.

Schools have been shut down for two weeks in Hong Kong. Advisories have been released by the city officials to stay at home and contain the spread of the virus. Bus services have been suspended in Enshi while the railway station has been closed for public use in Ezhou.

Hospitals have been jampacked and pharmacies are running short of medicines. Chinese media outlets have claimed that a 1,000-bed hospital will become fully functional within 6 days.

It is now being speculated that the origin of the virus may be linked to China’s discreet Biological Warfare program.

India’s Preparedness

Roughly, 23000 Indian students are currently studying in China, and a considerable number among them are at the Wuhan Medical University. The cost of treatment has run up to 1 million yuan (1 Cr Indian rupees) for Maheshwari, an Indian working at a primary school teacher in Shenzhen.

India is gearing up to face the dangers of the outbreak. There are now a total of 19 airports wherein passengers are being screened for coronavirus. Now, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has provisions for a separate ward to contain the spread of the deadly disease.
