The Art of Ruling: The Modi-Shah Doctrine of Governance and how the duo brought the Media and Mobs to kneel in 2019

The Year 2019 has been historic by any measure. During the course of the year, the ruling dispensation at the Center fundamentally altered the nature of the Indian state. During its latter half, after Narendra Modi was re-elected as Prime Minister with an even greater mandate than in 2014, a chain of events was set in motion that would have implications for the country for years to come, if not decades.

It was, again, during the latter half of the year that Narendra Modi came into his own with his trusted Lieutenant Amit Shah as the Home Minister of the country. Together, they embarked upon a mission that has changed India forever. In these six months, we got some glimpse into the manner in which the Top 2 Ministers in the government function and from their conduct, we can draw some inferences into, what we can call, The Modi-Shah Doctrine of Governance.

In this article, we shall make an effort to deduce how Narendra Modi brought the liberal establishment to kneel, of which the mainstream media is the most prominent part, and dealt with the threat of Muslim mob violence. We shall also attempt to gain some understanding of the duo’s approach towards governance.

The Liberal Establishment brought to Kneel

The year can be divided into two halves for gaining a better understanding of how the Liberal Establishment was made to kneel. The first half, of course, revolves around the campaigning phase for the General Elections and the second, the six months blitzkrieg that changed India definitively.

The Campaign

The Liberal Establishment maintains its power in a Democracy through the use of its propaganda arm: The Mainstream Media. In a democracy, a political party lives and dies at the mercy of public opinion. If the mood of the public goes against the government, they will have to pay for it in the next elections. As such, the mainstream media as an institution is very much a political player, at par with the three other arms of the State.

That the mainstream media is referred to as the ‘Fourth Pillar of Democracy’ is enough indication of its political nature, however, that seems to elude our understanding at times. Therefore, if one has to bring the Liberal Establishment to kneel, it is essential that its propaganda wing is managed first. Fortunately enough, the advent of Social Media has been a huge gamechanger and it has vastly undermined the authority of the mainstream media over the narrative. And Narendra Modi rode that storm to power once in 2014 and then again, in 2019.

The fundamental reason, however, why Narendra Modi was able to defeat the media propaganda lies in his past. Due to his humble beginnings, he was perfectly aware of the pulse of the masses. He knew that the masses did not care much about the propaganda being run by the mainstream media and for people in Urban India, there was social media that could be utilized effectively to counter the propaganda of the mainstream media.

Therefore, the most important thing for Narendra Modi as Prime Minister was to secure for himself another term in power. And he could not have found a better person to take care of that than Amit Shah. While Narendra Modi was the face, Amit Shah worked with others behind the scenes to work out complicated political equations. While the mainstream media was busy with its relentless propaganda, the Modi-Shah due tamed the beast by focusing themselves entirely on the implementation of schemes on the ground and setting political scores.

Thus, in essence, what Narendra Modi and Amit Shah did was really very simple. They did not make their decisions based on the hysteria and wisdom of the mainstream media. They trusted their political instincts and backed them to accomplish the tasks they set. They knew the masses didn’t care much about the Rafale deal. Instead of going on the defensive, the BJP’s strategy on Rafale was a counter-attack. Ultimately, it came down to which leader had more credibility and the answer was simple: Narendra Damodardas Modi.

The Blitzkrieg

If the Modi government’s strategy during its first term was ignoring the mass hysteria generated by the media and put faith instead in their political instincts and knowledge, in the second term, the Modi government’s strategy with regards to the media could only be described as a giant middle finger. The media, with great help from their foreign counterpart, screamed and wailed as the Modi government abrogated Article 370 but the ruling dispensation marketed it as the fulfilment of an old promise and a great victory.

There are fundamental characteristics about their personality that make, both, Narendra Modi and Amit Shah so lethal. They are scarily comfortable in their own skin. They know they will never be loved by the mainstream media, it doesn’t matter what they did. Therefore, they just stopped bothering about their opinion. The mainstream media gave it their all in 2019 and yet, they managed to win over 300 seats. The people loved them, they could afford to be hated by the media.

And time after time, repeatedly, the Modi-Shah duo demonstrated that governance will no longer be held hostage by propaganda outlets. The mainstream media was wielded by the Liberal Establishment for one, and only one, purpose. To ensure that liberal policies continued to be implemented regardless of who was in power. Narendra Modi and Amit Shah walked in and upended the entire arrangement.

While the media whined about alleged human rights violations in Jammu & Kashmir, the Modi-Shah duo ignored it, knowing fully well that the actions of the government had massive support among the Indian electorate. The media continued its cantankerous outrage but the government paid no heed, insisting that the government will do what needs to be done in order to integrate Jammu & Kashmir completely with the Indian Union.

The Modi-Shah went several steps further than that. They went out of their way to show the media and the intellectual elite their place. Aatish Taseer, the son of Salman Taseer, who was going around spreading hysteria against the government, the Home Ministry revoked his OCI card and ever since that fateful evening, the poor man hasn’t stopped crying on social media. Aatish Taseer can still be found crying on social media at odd moments during the day.

It was Amit Shah sending a message: We don’t care what you think, what are you going to do about it? And once the intimidation of the mainstream media does not work, there’s very little that the liberal establishment has worked in its favour. Because propaganda is its biggest asset.

The Muslim Mob Violence: Consequence of the Liberal Establishment’s Defeat

The utter defeat of the Liberal Establishment and the relentless pursuit of Narendra Modi and Amit Shah towards accomplishing their ideological objective meant that the Opposition had to play the final card in their hand: The Threat of Muslim Mob Violence. In a matter of months, Triple Talaq was banned, Article 370 was abrogated, the Ram Mandir verdict was delivered and then, the CAA was passed through both Houses of the Parliament and there was nothing the Opposition could do to thwart the Modi-Shah juggernaut.

Thus, we had the entire opposition combine with media propaganda instigate and whitewash violent protests by Islamic extremists across the country in order to halt the march of the Modi-Shah juggernaut. OpIndia exposed the manner in which the Congress party was instigating protests across Universities. Barkha Dutt was caught glorifying a Jamia student who had given a call for Jihad right before the anti-CAA protests turned violent.

At one point, there was the feeling that things were getting out of hand. But the Home Minister and the BJP governments in Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka stepped in to quell the ensuing riots. The methods that were used were ‘unorthodox’, to put it mildly, but none could doubt their effectiveness. Once again, the media was hysterical about the methods used but the government was aware that it had complete support among the masses and that’s all that mattered in a Democracy. That is all that should matter in a Democracy.

In the end, let’s just put it this way: The slogans of “Ladhke lenge Azadi” and “Chheen ke lenge Azadi” along with other more virulent slogans did not end very well for the protesters. And in the aftermath of the Police crackdown, the much-hyped ‘revolution’ just fizzled out. One man who deserves a special mention here is Mahant Yogi Adityanath, another individual along the same ideological bend as the Modi-Shah duo. By the end of it all, leaders of the Muslim community were begging for forgiveness.

The Liberal Establishment believed it could piggy-back on the threat of Muslim Mob Violence and rise to relevance once again but unfortunately for them, the country was in no mood for it. Worse, the Government’s crackdown on the rioters further consolidated the BJP’s support among the electorate. They played their trump card and the Modi-Shah duo succeeded in using even that to their advantage. What else do they have left in their tank? Not much, really.

The Modi-Shah Doctrine of Governance

During the course of events that transpired, there were certain events that provided a glimpse into how the Modi-Shah duo think and function. The choice of Jamia Milia Islamia for the crackdown by Delhi Police and the Aligarh Muslim University by Uttar Pradesh was not made at random. These places were selected precisely for the reason that the crackdown in these Universities will receive maximum coverage by the media and consequently, provide the opportunity for the government to inculcate more fear in the hearts of the rioters.

It ought to be remembered that at least in Delhi, the violence started declining following the crackdown at Jamia. The violence at Seelampur occurred after but then, the protests started fading decisively. In Uttar Pradesh, the violence escalated following the crackdown at AMU but the government responded by enforcing an even harsher crackdown. The message from the BJP was clear. The rioters could afford to rampage through the streets but the ruling dispensation had six ways from Sunday at getting back at them. And the government had infinitely more resources at its disposal than the rioters. More importantly, every time rioters engaged in mob violence, public opinion consolidated that much more in favour of the government.

It ought to be remembered here that all of this did not happen in a day. For five years, Narendra Modi and Amit Shah worked hard towards consolidating their power. And when the results of the General Elections demonstrated that they had succeeded beyond anyone’s expectations, they decided to push several buttons in a very short span of time. Narendra Modi is the proverbial King and he certainly acted like one.

I had said in an article in September, “While many Modi supporters would like it very much if he treated the media the same way as Donald Trump treats them, Narendra Modi’s goal is to fundamentally alter the system. Therefore, he cannot act in the same manner as Donald Trump. He has to carefully navigate the system so that he can supplant it with one that is sympathetic to his own interests.”

In the same article, I had said, “Narendra Modi understood that as a King, he had a lot of time in his hands. And even if he could not accomplish all that he wished to during his own tenure as Prime Minister, his successor will. Therefore, he worked incrementally towards his goal. And the first major decision he took after being reelected was the abrogation of Article 370 which marked the death of Nehruvianism. And going forward, there are sufficient indications that 2024 will be won on the basis of Hindutva.”

The Core Principle: Play By The Rules Until The Very End

A King cannot afford to destroy institutions because he runs a very serious risk of undermining the very structural integrity of his Kingdom. Therefore, it’s essential that a King makes the existing institutions bend to his will and work with him rather than destroy them entirely. The reason is simple, the destruction of the institutions would lead to anarchy which would further undermine the King’s authority over his own territory.

Thus, the Government did not take unilateral action on any controversial matter, it always involved the Parliament in the process. Be it Kashmir, anti-Triple Talaq Bill or the Citizenship Amendment Act. At every juncture, it had support from significant sections of the Opposition camp.

If the government wanted, it could have passed an ordinance to begin the construction of the Ram Mandir. Maybe it could have brought a law in the Parliament and it’s likely that it would have passed as well. However, it would have given the opportunity to the Opposition to spread anarchy across the country. Therefore, the government waited, for more than five years, but ultimately it paid off.

The Supreme Court delivered a decisive verdict in favour of the Hindu community. The BJP could not take credit for it but that wasn’t necessary. Their contribution towards the Ram Janmabhoomi is well known and well documented. Therefore, although the BJP could not claim credit for the verdict in any manner, the goal was accomplished. It was a huge victory for the Hindu community and the victory was earned during Narendra Modi’s tenure as Prime Minister. And the Opposition could not say anything because all this time, they had used the same Court to put obstacles in the BJP’s path.

What we witnessed in 2019 was truly emphatic and one that happens rarely in any major country if ever. And all of this was accomplished without much violence at all. The Liberal Conception of the Indian State was thrown into the garbage dump and Hindutva entrenched itself firmly in the corridors of power. There’s a long way to go yet but the 2019 General Elections marked the end of the Battle. The second half of 2019 marked the Dawn of a New Age, the Reign of a New King.

Thus, what can be said definitively about the Modi-Shah Doctrine of Governance is the fact that the duo will strictly play by the rules on every single occasion. They will not attempt to undermine the institutions of the country in any manner. A King needs strong institutions for his reign to be effective and smooth. To ensure that, it’s absolutely crucial that a King plays by the rules. And when a King has consolidated enough power, the institutions of the country will begin to fall in the line of their own accord because they have their own interests as well.

Therefore, if ever there was a simple answer to the question of how the Modi-Shah duo brought the Liberal Establishment and the threat of Muslim Mob Violence to kneel, it is thus: They brought them to kneel by strictly adhering to the rules of the game while at the same time, continuously consolidating their political power. And when their political power had crossed a certain threshold, it allowed them to be more flexible in the manner in which they exerted their power in order to maintain their hold over the country they ruled and preventing the outbreak of massive anarchy.

Pakistani filmmaker accuses country’s leading newspaper The Dawn’s CEO Hameed Haroon of raping him 13 years ago

An acclaimed Pakistani filmmaker, Jamshed Mehmood aka Jami has taken to Twitter to reveal the name of the person whom he accused in October of raping him. The award-winning filmmaker took to the micro-blogging site to name Hameed Haroon, the CEO of Dawn, one of the leading newspapers of Pakistan, as his rapist.

In a tweet posted late Saturday night, Jami stated: “Yes HAMEED HAROON Raped me. I’m ready now. Are you ready to print this @dawn_com.”

Jami Raza’s recent tweet naming the alleged perpetrator

Jami also said that for more than 90 days he had offered Dawn the exclusive rights to publish the story on who his attacker was, but they remained silent. He added that no journalist from the media house approached him for validation of the allegation.

Jami has been posting these incriminating tweets from the @azadjami1 account. From the same account, he also posted tweets saying his original Twitter account, @jamiazaad had been hacked.

Previously, in October, the filmmaker had created a furore over social media when he took to Twitter to share a harrowing account of being allegedly raped by a “media tycoon.” Jami had mentioned that the incident took place 13 years back in Karachi, at the home of the alleged perpetrator.

He wrote, “Why I am so strongly supporting #metoo? cuz i know exactly how it happens now, inside a room then outside courts inside courts and how a survivor hides confides cuz i was brutally raped by a very powerful person in our media world. A Giant actually. and yes I am taller than him but.”

In a series of tweets, Jami revealed how he had shared the details among his friends about the alleged incident and the perpetrator whom he held to be responsible, but no one stood by his side. “I told my few close friends but no one took it seriously. I told them so many times with the name of this tycoon but as if I am a joker or something,” he wrote.

He also revealed that he had to undergo therapy. He wrote, “I spent 6 or so month in agha khan with a therapist and the usual pills zanax or some s**t screwed my head and then i left pk for few months to reboot.”

After going public with his allegation, the filmmaker mentioned in several tweets that the journalist community was protecting “its own,” but that he was not going to give up the fight to bring the alleged culprit to the book.

Anti-CAA protests: Kerala Church holds IUML organised Namaz after Youth Congress leader and AIPC State President convinced Church

The St Thomas Church, popularly known as Marthoma Cheriapally, a local church at Kothamangalam in the Ernakulam district of Kerala threw open its doors for thousands of Muslim Namazis to offer Namaz at its premises on Saturday last week while they were in a protest march against the legislation of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) by the central government.

Mathew Kuzhalnadan, the Youth Congress leader and All India Professional Congress state president (Kerala) had approached the church authorities seeking their permission to allow the namaz at the church premises. According to Kuzhalnadan, the church authorities were more than happy to grant him the approval to organise namaz at the church.

During the 10-KM long march against the enactment of the Citizenship Amendment Act which started from Muvattupuzha and ended at Kothamangalam, thousands of Muslim protestors halted at the church to offer their namaz.

The vicar of the church, Father Jose Parathuvayalil has been a place of worship for not just Christian but members of other communities as well. However, he added that it was the first time that the Church got an opportunity to host Muslims for their namaz prayers. It was a significant moment for all of us to underscore the prevailing communal harmony, he said.

The son of the Indian Union Muslim League’s former state president Panakkadu Sayyid Muhammed Ali Shihab Thangal, Sayyid Munavvar Ali Shihab Thangal, who led the namaz to the church took to the social media to hail the church’s gesture of allowing Muslims to offer their namaz within their church premises. He also added that the church vicar himself provided water for the Muslim believers to perform the ablution- “Wudhu”.

Railway property worth Rs 80 crore damaged during anti-CAA riots, to be recovered from the rioters: Railway Board Chairman

Apart from police personnel and the public being injured in several places of the country, the anti-CAA riots perpetrated by the far-leftist brigade and the members of the Opposition has left state-owned properties worth crores being damaged. Apart from both public and private vehicles and other public properties, railway properties were also damaged by the anti-CAA rioters in several parts of the country.

The Indian Railways has now decided to claim the damages caused to its property during these anti-CAA riots, from the persons involved.

Confirming that Railway property worth Rs 80 crore was damaged during protests across the country against the amended citizenship law, Railway Board Chairman Vinod Kumar Yadav said that recovery will be made from those found involved in arson and violence. He said on Monday, “There has been damage of railway property worth Rs 80 crore during anti-CAA protests. Damages will be recovered from those found involved in arson and violence.

According to another report, a top Railways Protection Force (RPF) official has said that the Indian Railways have lost property worth Rs 90 crore during the riots, and the Eastern Railways- mostly spread across West Bengal- alone accounted for 80 per cent of those losses.

“West Bengal has been the worst because the Eastern Railways largely falls in the state, the total loss there alone has been Rs 72.19 crore,” said RPF DG Arun Kumar. South Eastern Railways was second with property losses worth Rs 12.75 crore, followed by North Eastern Frontier Railways that lost Rs 2.98 crore in damages.

Confirming that the spates of violence leading to attacks on railway property rose to the maximum during Mamata Banerjee’s anti-CAA rallies, RPF DG Arun Kumar said Howrah, Sealdah and Malda divisions were the most affected in Bengal.

Railways have filed a total of 85 FIRs for the violent incidents that also led to injuries to a dozen employees.

“There are people who have been identified through the videos of the violence and we have registered FIRs against them,” Kumar said.

After a concerted campaign was run by the Trinamool Congress party to slam the Citizenship Law, West Bengal had turned into a war-zone with sporadic incidents of violence, arson and stone-pelting reported from various corners of the state.

We had reported how a senior police officer was reportedly injured on December 17, as a violent mob hurled a bomb towards the team of personnel he was leading to arrest those involved in vandalising the railway station at Sankrail Manikpur area in Howrah city.

Though numerous railway stations and ticket counters in the state have been ransacked, various trains pelted with stones at and set on fire in the name of protests against the CAA, causing immense loss of revenues and badly affecting rail services through the state, it’s Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee has asserted that protecting the Indian Railways and its properties in the state are not the responsibility of her Government.

Moreover, CM Banerjee had played down the escalations and attacks on assets of the Indian Railways, rendering them to be “small incidents”.

NDTV Editorial Director spreads fake news while trying to prove that NDTV is not biased

Controversial media house NDTV and its journalists are known for often spreading fake and bias news reports. The channel’s editorial director Sonia Singh was caught spreading a fake news today while responding to an allegation of bias against the channel.

The NDTV anchor claimed that NCP leader Ajit Pawar was given a clean chit by the 48-hour government of Devendra Fadnavis in Maharashtra, which is lie. She was responding to tweet by OpIndia CEO Rahul Roushan that showed the screenshots of two tweets by NDTV reporting Ajit Pawar taking oath in both Devendra Fadnavis and Uddhav Thackeray government. When Ajit Pawar was made a minister in the short-lived second government of Fadnavis, NDTV had introduced him as scam-tainted. But when reporting on Pawar becoming a minister in the Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress government in Maharashtra, NDTV didn’t mention anything about allegations of scams against him.

To counter this allegation of bias, Sonia Singh tweeted, “the Fadnavis 48 hour government first cleared Mr Pawar, followed by the current government.” She advised Roushan to direct his tweets to the respective political parties and not NDTV, and accused him of having a bias.

Although it is true that the Maha Vikas Aghadi government in Maharashtra has given a clean chit to Ajit Pawar in Vidarbha Irrigation Development Corporation scam cases, it is absolutely false that the BJP government too had given him clean chit in the irrigation scams.

Two days after Ajit Pawar had taken oath as Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra in the second Devendra Fadnavis led government, several media houses had reported that the Anti-Corruption Bureau has dropped the irrigation corruption case against Pawar. But soon it was revealed that it was fake news, as no case against Ajit Pawar was dropped. The ACB had informed that they were probing more than 3000 tenders in the case, and among them cases in only 9 tenders were closed, and Ajit Pawar was not named in any of those 9 cases. These cases were dropped as no wrongdoing was found in those 9 tenders. The ACB had also informed that recommendation to close those 9 cases were submitted almost 3 months ago, when Ajit Pawar was an opposition leader.

Read- NDTV spreads fake news again, this time during a ‘fact check’ on the government’s claims on NRC and NPR

Therefore, it was fake news that Devendra Fadnavis govt had dropped charges against Ajit Pawar. Even the NDTV, where Sonia Singh is the Editorial Director, had reported this clarification issued by the ACB. “None of the cases that were closed today are related to Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister, Ajit Pawar,” NDTV had quoted a senior official regarding the issue.

Despite the fact that he the allegation of Fadnavis govt dropping charges against Ajit Pawar was proved to be false almost immediately, a senior journalist chose to spread that fake news again. And she spread the fake news using the words “going by the facts”. Perhaps the senior NDTV journalist should read NDTV more often, so that she is updated with actual facts and does not spread imaginary facts.

Maharashtra Cabinet expansion: Sanjay Raut upset over brother Sunil Raut’s exclusion from the cabinet

The motormouth spokesperson of the Shiv Sen, Sanjay Raut is reportedly miffed with the Maha Vikas Aghadi government in Maharashtra for the exclusion of his brother Sunil Raut, who is a Shiv Sena MLA from Vikhroli, from the expanded Maharashtra Cabinet.

Raut, who is allegedly the chief architect of stitching an alliance between parties from two ideologically opposite spectrum, was reputedly unhappy with the Maharashtra state cabinet expansion as his brother did not make the cut into the list of politicians who will be sworn-in as ministers.

Almost one month after the formation of the government in Maharashtra, the Uddhav Thackeray-led government in the state announced the list of ministers selected to be inducted in the expanded cabinet. NCP’s Ajit Pawar took oath as the state’s deputy chief minister while Thackeray’s son Aaditya Thackeray was also included the cabinet.

About 34 ministers sworn-in as ministers in the Maharashtra cabinet expansion today. Other prominent leaders who are included in the cabinet are- Dhananjay Munde, Anil Deshmukh, Hassan Mushrif, Ashok Chavan, Jitendra Awhad, and Amit Deshmukh.

After an imbroglio of about a month, Shiv Sena joined hands with the NCP and the Congress party to form a government at the state. Uddhav Thackeray was decided as the chief minister of the state while it was agreed upon that the NCP will get the deputy chief minister post and the Congress will get the speaker post. The Congress party appointed Nana Parole as the Speaker of the Maharashtra Assembly while with this cabinet expansion, Ajit Pawar, an NCP MLA, has become the deputy chief minister of the state.

Sanjay Raut was one of the Shiv Sena leaders, besides Uddhav Thackeray, who had launched a scathing attack on the former ally BJP after the two broke out over the disagreement with regards to the chief ministerial post. The Shiv Sena claimed that the BJP had agreed to a pre-poll promise of having a rotational chief ministerial post while the BJP repudiated such claims saying no such agreement was reached with the Shiv Sena.

Letter of Apology by Farah Khan

Earlier, two FIRs had been registered against the actor and the choreographer on account of a video clip from the show “Backbenchers in which the duo along with Bharti Singh can be seen having difficulty vocalizing the word ‘hallelujah’. A complaint, which was registered in Amritsar accused the celebrities of trivializing the word and hurting the sentiments of the Christian community.

“His Eminence Cardinal Oswald Gracias met us. We apologised and asked him to forgive our mistake and he very graciously accepted our apology. He also issued a statement on our behalf to end this matter,” Farah said.

Farah tweeted, “To err is human to forgive divine. Thank you, Your Eminence Cardinal Oswald Gracias for meeting us and accepting our heartfelt apologies and putting this unfortunate matter to rest.”

The president of the Indian Christian Voice, Dr Abraham Mathai said that the Christian community accepted the apology proffered by Farah, Raveena and Bharti Singh. “We appreciate Flipkart video and Walmart CEO for removing the episode off air. The Christian community appreciates the Flipkart video and Mr Doug McMillon, the global CEO of Walmart for having considered our demands and sentiments,” he said.

“This evening Farah Khan and Raveena Tandon went in person to His Eminence Cardinal Oswald Gracias to tender a written and unconditional apology, which the Cardinal graciously accepted. I request the Christian community of this nation who are infuriated by this whole saga to accept the apologies tendered by the celebrities in the true spirit of Christ,” Mathai said in a statement.

Bharti Singh also posted a tweet seeking forgiveness and proffering apologies for hurting the sentiments of the Christian community. Bharti tweeted, “From the bottom of my heart I would like to say Sorry to my Christian brothers and sisters for hurting their sentiments. Thank you Your Eminence Cardinal Oswald for personally hearing my apology in the voice note (as I’m not in the country) and forgiving me.”

Letter by Bharati Singh

Earlier, actor Raveena had posted a tweet seeking apology from those who were aggrieved by the video. Raveena posted a clip of the show asking her followers to watch the video.

She wrote, “Please do watch this link. I haven’t said a word that can be interpreted as an insult to any religion. The three of us (Farah Khan, Bharti Singh and I) never intended to offend anyone, but in case we did, my most sincere apologies to those who were hurt.”

Muslims to claim possession of the ruins of the demolished Babri Masjid in Ayodhya

0

After losing the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid case in the apex court, the Muslims parties have decided to lay claim to the remnants of the Babri Masjid along with its foundation, demolished and left behind by a frenzied group of Karsevaks on December 6, 1992.

The Hindu parties in contention have expressed no objection to the Muslim parties’ claim to the ruins of the demolished Babri mosque. Ram Lalla’s “Best Friend”, Triloki Nath Pandey said that he has no opposition to the Muslim parties laying claim to the Babri ruins. “They can take the ruins of the Babri Masjid as it belongs to them. We have no problems with that. This will be a message of brotherhood and communal harmony,” he said.

The general secretary of the All-India Milli Council, Khaliq Ahmed Khan said, “We will claim debris and foundation of the Babri Masjid as the structure belonged to Muslims. The Supreme Court has admitted that for more than 3 centuries Muslims offered prayers at the mosque.”

On being asked if the debris of the mosque will be shifted to the 5-acre land allotted by the apex court in lieu of the Babri Masjid land, SQR Ilyas said that they will not accept the land offered by the Supreme Court and the issue of where the debris should be shifted will be discussed in the All India Muslim Personal Law Board Meeting.

The decision to lay claim to the ruins of the Babri Masjid came after the protracted Ayodhya drew to an end by the Supreme Court verdict that ordered the contentious land in favour of the Hindu litigants to build a temple at the site. The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) report corroborated the claim made by the Hindu litigants that there existed a temple beneath the Babri structure. The top court offered a 5-acres land to the Muslim parties elsewhere as a compensation.

On December 6, 1992, manic crowds of Karsevaks belonging to various Hindu organizations such as Viswa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal and the erstwhile Shiv Sena gathered at the Babri site in Ayodhya and brought down the mosque which they considered was illegally built upon the Hindu temple.

2019 anti-CAA protests: 9 visuals that prove they were motivated by deep seated anti-Hindu bigotry and Islamic extremism

The anti-CAA protests in 2019 brought out into the open the ugly hatred that has been festering in the hearts of liberals and Islamic extremists against Hindus. It was obvious from the very beginning that the protests had nothing to do with ‘Secularism’ but was limited to Radical Islam and anti-Hindu bigotry with active support from the liberal community. In this article, we look back at some placards and videos during which the anti-Hindu bigotry and Islamic Extremism became most prominent.

1. Muslim man threatens to burn the country if CAA is implemented

In the video that went viral on social media, a Muslim man is heard threatening that he will set the entire country on fire. He says the Muslim community will stage a coup and destroy the country.

2. ‘No God but Allah’

Anti-CAA protesters raised slogans of La ilaha illallah, the Islamic Shahada which means “There is no god but Allah”. The chant is often followed by muḥammadun rasulu llah, which means “Muhammad is the messenger of God”.

The religious chant represents the central philosophy of Islam, that Allah is the only god, and there is no other god. When senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor warned against Islamic Extremism after the clip went viral, Islamic Extremists on social media slammed him and accused him of ‘soft bigotry’.

3. Contempt towards Narendra Modi’s humble beginnings

The anti-CAA protesters appear to hold a severe disdain towards the Prime Minister’s humble roots. There were several placards mocking Narendra Modi for being a Chaiwaala in his childhood to support his family.

One particular placard that was remarkably idiotic tells Narendra Modi to make tea instead of laws. One wonders if the protesters believe the Parliament should not make laws, who according to them has the authority? Delinquents, who loiter around such protests?

Placard at anti-CAA protest that says, ‘Make Tea, not Laws’.

4. Hinduon Se Azadi

The most obvious bit bigotry from the protests was the chants of ‘Hinduon se Azadi’ that were raised in Jamia Nagar, Delhi. Liberals realized that it was indefensible and therefore, they made an attempt to call the video footage ‘fake’.

However, the video was authentic and the so-called peaceful protesters at Jamia Nagar were raising these slogans.

5. F**k Hindutva poster with the Om portrayed as the Nazi symbol

This was another blatant bit of anti-Hindu bigotry. Not even the liberals attempted to defend this one. The only ones defending it were Islamic Extremists and Leftists.

6. Hanuman Temple Desecrated

During the anti-CAA riots in Bihar, Muslim rioters attacked and desecrated a Hanuman Temple in Patna.

The visuals did make for a very disturbing view and it was further evidence of the fact that the hatred that was festering in the heart of Indi could no longer be ignored.

7. Faiz’s anti-idolatry verses

A video emerged from IIT-Kanpur where anti-CAA protesters were chanting “When All Idols Will Be Removed… Only Allah’s Name Will Remain”.

Liberals tried to whitewash the bigotry inherent in the verses claiming that it was from one of Faiz’s poems but, as we have said before, slogans that speak of the demolition of Murthis have absolutely no place in the land of idol-worshippers.

8. Tiranga Wielding Namazi Rioters

A narrative was carefully constructed by the mainstream media that the anti-CAA protesters were waving the Tiranga while the pro-CAA demonstrations were only waving the Saffron Flag. It was an insinuation that the anti-CAA protests were secular while the pro-CAA demonstrations were communal. But as we can see in this video, the Tiranga was merely an attempt to mask their true intentions.

9. Hindustan Ka Maalik moment

If there could be any doubt remaining about the anti-Hindu nature of the anti-CAA protests, the placard below quite clears it. The placard held by the Muslim says, “Modi, don’t ask for too old documents. Who knows? We might emerge as the owners of India.” This, quite clearly, shows that the anti-CAA protesters are still drunk on the delusions of Islamic Imperialism.

The year 2019 saw big-bang decisions from the Modi government. From the abrogation of Article 370 to going all guns blazing against Pakistan sponsored terrorism. With such decisions, some amount of backlash from the Hindu hating Islamists of India was expected. However, with the year ending with the anti-CAA protests, that sentiment has never been clearer and the fact that the Media has played Nero’s guest while the country was being burnt by Islamists only goes to show that these posters were not aberrations, but the venom being displayed in the open.
