MeToo accused and co-founder of leftist propaganda website The Wire Sidharth Bhatia elected as President of Mumbai Press Club

Sidharth Bhatia, one of the co-founders of leftist propaganda website ‘The Wire’ and an accused of sexually harassing women, has been elected as the new President of the Mumbai Press Club.

According to the reports, Bhatia secured a victory against Sudhakar Kashyap to be elected as the President of the Mumbai Press Club. The elections were held on Saturday.

Journalist Smita Deshmukh took to Twitter to report that a group of radical left ‘journalists’ had contested the Mumbai Press club’s elections under a grouping – ‘Progressive Democratic Alliance’. Sidharth Bhatia had contested for the post of President while another far-left ‘journalist Gurbir Singh of the Indian Express and Samar Khaldas of the Maharashtra Times had contested for the post of Chairman and Vice-Chairman respectively.

According to another journalist Shrikant Bhosale, the Progressive Democratic Alliance had fielded six candidates for the post of office bearers and ten others for committee members’ posts. All the 16 candidates of Progressive Democratic Alliance, led by far-left ‘journalist’ Sidharth Bhatia have secured victory.

In 2018, when the MeToo movement hit India, Bhatia was accused by two women for sexually harassing them.

Sidharth Bhatia is accused of sexual harassment by two former colleagues

During the ‘MeToo’ movement, Bhatia was named by at least two different women, in two separate incidents and accused of having used his power to sexually exploit women. One woman has accused Bhatia of ‘propositioning young interns in DNA (where Bhatia was previously associated with) by offering writing tips’. The second Twitter user has accused Bhatia of licking his ‘lower lip seeing bra straps of young women’ in office.

However, Bhatia had claimed that the lady who accused him of inappropriate behaviour while he was at DNA was false. He had said that no lady with that name worked at DNA while he was there. Bhatia had asserted that the allegations made by another lady, who worked for The Wire, was also untrue because The Wire Hindi has no female staff.

Following the severe backlash against the Wire editor, Bhatia has filed a police complaint to investigate the Twitter handles which made these accusations. Bhatia has maintained that the allegations were false. Brazening it out, Bhatia said that they had requested the ladies to come forward with more details, but nobody has.

The Wire – a far-left fake news website

The controversial left-wing website ‘The Wire‘, which claims to be a media outlet, is known for spewing anti-Hindu hatred and has often taken extreme anti-India positions to further its ideological narrative. The ‘news website’ started by American citizen Siddharth Varadarajan, Radia-tapes famed MK Venu and Sidharth Bhatia has a long history of peddling false propaganda and fake news.

The Wire has been caught several times peddling the most outlandish lies with impunity. They have never retracted or apologised when called out. Here are some of the outlandish lies and false propaganda propagated by The Wire in the name of journalism.

A series of FIRs were recently registered against The Wire Founder-Editor Siddharth Varadarajan for spreading fake news against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and also during the recent ‘farmer’ protests in the country. Apart from Siddharth Varadarajan, another former news anchor Vinod Dua was booked for misreporting the Anti-Hindu Delhi riots and also on charges of creating a public nuisance by false “contextual reporting”. Dua, too, was accused of sexual harassment.

Shiv Sena goons thrash a senior citizen, blacken his face for criticising Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray, post video online

In a despicable incident, Shiv Sena goons assaulted a senior citizen for allegedly criticising Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.

The video was uploaded by one Prashant Jagtap, who identifies as ‘Shivsainik’ and handles the party’s social media. In the said clip, the goons could be seen surrounding the victim from all sides and blackening his face with ink. The victim has been identified as one Shirish Katekar, who is an RSS Swayamsevak from Pandharpur in Maharashtra.

Katekar was forced to wear bangles (considered a sign of weakness by misogynists) and a saree was draped around his head. He was paraded in public and the goons sloganeered in unison. Despite the intervention of a police official, the Shiv Sena workers continued with their assault. Social media users have pointed out that the assault took place after the victim had criticised the Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.

While labelling the senior citizen as a ‘BJP pimp’, Prashant Jagtap applauded the Shiv Sena workers for their act of brutality. With no fear of legal consequences, Jagtap mockingly admitted that the party workers might have broken 15-20 bones of the victim.

He further added that the senior citizen will not be in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) ward for more than 6 months.

Navy veteran assaulted by Shiv Sena goons

A veteran of the Indian Navy was attacked by Shiv Sena goons in Maharashtra in September last year for sharing a cartoon on WhatsApp. A complaint filed has been filed and an FIR has been registered regarding the matter, Times Now has reported. The veteran confirmed that he was brutalised for sharing the WhatsApp forward. He also said that the Police has first come to arrest him.

The veteran also said that he had never expected such a thing to happen to him in his own country. He said that he was helped by the local MLA who is from the Bharatiya Janata Party. Former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis urged Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to put an end to the ‘Gundaraj’ and demanded strong punishment for the guilty.

Mumbai Police arrests actress-model Gehana Vasisht and others for shooting and uploading porn

Gehana had won the Miss Asia Bikini crown and appeared in the Alt Balaji web series Gandi Baat. She has also been featured in several advertisements in both Hindi and Telugu cinema. Multiple complaints led to arrests

Mumbai Police falls for Arnab Goswami’s parody Twitter account, names it in defamation notice

In a hurry to carry out their witch-hunt against Republic TV chief Arnab Goswami, the Mumbai Police have ended up embarrassing themselves after they listed a ‘parody’ Twitter account of Arnab Goswami as the official handle of the Republic TV chief to allege that he had made defamatory statements against the Mumbai Police.

After trying all every trick up its sleeves to harass Republic TV chief Arnab Goswami, the Mumbai police on Friday had registered a criminal defamation complaint against the journalist over some claims made by him during a debate revolving around Sushant Singh Rajput death case in August 2020.

Mumbai DCP Abhishek Trimukhe had filed a criminal defamation complaint against Republic TV Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami, his wife and the owner of the channel ARG Outlier for alleged defamatory statements made against him by Goswami under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 499, 500 (defamation) and 501 (printing or engraving matter known to be defamatory).

“The said defamatory attacks have been made with a singular view of assassinating his (DCP Trimukhe’s) official character and thereby…maliciously and deliberately causing undue humiliation of the Mumbai Police Department,” the complaint said.

Mumbai Police falls for a ‘parody’ account

However, in the defamation complaint, the Mumbai Police officer referred to tweets from a fake Twitter handle impersonating to be Arnab Goswami. The complaint further alleged that Arnab Goswami runs the Twitter handle @arnab5222 with nearly 2 lakh followers, and claimed that he recirculated the defamatory telecast to an even larger audience, through Twitter.

Mumbai Police complaint

As per the complaint, Arnab Goswami made “grossly false”, “malicious” and defamatory statements during the coverage of actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death by suicide last year. It further claimed that these defamatory statements were telecast on the channel Republic Bharat during a discussion about phone records of actor Rhea Chakraborty on August 7, 2020.

The complaint lists six tweets put out by the parody account of Arnab Goswami “@arnab5222” to claim that Republic TV chief defamed DCP Trimukhe.

Mumbai Police complaint

In its defamation suit, the Mumbai Police officer claimed that account ‘arnab5222′ put out a series of defamatory posts’ on August 7, 2020, allegedly operated by Arnab Goswami. The account since then appears to have been deactivated and a new account with same user name was created in October 2020.

@arnab5222 account created in October 2020

Interestingly, Arnab Goswami does not have a presence in the social media platforms. Confirming the same, Arnab Goswami’s lawyers said that the tweets referred to in the complaint filed by DCP Abhishek Trimukhe were from a fake Twitter account. Republic TV, too, has time and again clarified that Arnab does not have any social media account.

Reacting to the gaffe of the Mumbai Polie, the Republic Media Network will said they will respond legally, as per due process.

Chakka Jam: At a time when nation needs to scale new heights, Opposition wants India to come to a halt

There are a lot of things I don’t understand. One of them is the logic behind chakka jams, the road blocks.

How is causing inconvenience to anyone, who just wants to go about do his work, earn their bread and come home a legit form of protest. How is bringing the nation to a standstill, the very country you claim to love and vow to die for, helping?

At a time when the world economy is in shambles, no thanks to the Chinese coronavirus that has infected crores of people worldwide, leaving over 2 lakh people dead in just a year, how is this bid to stop economic activities across nation a good idea? Of all the economies in the world, India is pegged to be one of the fastest to recover despite pandemic.

And the opposition parties in India are standing by the chakka jams. These will also be the first to whine when companies have to shut down because of the heavy losses incurred by these road blocks. It is imperative to know that the ‘farmers’ have been blocking Delhi borders since past more than two months.

No matter what happens, it is the national capital that has to suffer.

Like last year, it was anti-CAA protestors who had blocked the Delhi-Noida road for over two months. This when the law they were opposing was not even applicable to them. The Citizenship Amendment Act only fast-tracks Indian citizenship for persecuted religious minorities in three neighbouring Islamic countries, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh. Non-Muslims from these countries who have taken refuge in India, were to get fast-tracked Indian citizenship. “But what about Muslims in these countries? What if they seek refuge in India?” Sure, they can take the regular route. “But Indian Muslims are being left stateless”. How? No one knows. How can an Act, not applicable to Indian Muslims, leave them stateless? It still baffles me. But these Shaheen Bagh ‘dadis’ were ‘fighting for their identity’.

Speaking of protesting against things needlessly, the ‘farmer unions’ like Bharatiya Kisan Union and even opposition parties like Congress and others had demanded and promised the exact same things these new farm laws give. They wanted free market, they got free market and are not protesting against free market. The hypocrisy is staggering.

Which brings us to chakka jams. What does chakka jam do? It brings in international media attention. That is also why the ‘tractor rallies’ were carried out. The ‘farmers’ tried to instigate the police to use force by trying to mow them down and even desecrating the national monument just when the official Republic Day parade was happening just few kms away.

What did it bring? International media attention. Hollywood celebrities and celebrity protestors were tweeting ‘why are we not talking about these human rights violations’ for blocking internet.

Wait, so blocking Internet is ‘human rights violation’, but blocking roads is ‘democracy’.

These ‘road blocks’ also occur with the same ‘human’ angle. There will almost always be a wedding party which takes part in these protests. Or these ‘protestors’ will clear up the road block for ambulance. ‘You see, we don’t want to cause inconvenience to anyone’, they will tell the media. Once camera is off, they are issue death threats to elderly people who just wish to see a doctor.

Chakka jams and tractor rallies are nothing but a spectacle, well planned and well organised to get international attention and defame India on global platforms.

NCP supremo Sharad Pawar ‘advises’ Sachin Tendulkar to exercise caution while speaking on matters outside cricket

After several Indian cricketers and celebrities came out openly against the coordinate international campaign to destabilise India by supporting the anti-farm law protests, the opposition parties have chosen specifically target Cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar. The legendary batsman has been targeted by the Congress and the left parties after he had tweeted against global celebrities like popstar Rihanna, pornstar Mia Khalifa and others posted tweets supporting the farmer protests.

Now NCP supremo Sharad Pawar had joined the list to attack Bharat Ratna awardee Sachin Tendulkar for his opinion on the issue. The veteran politician issued a veiled threat for the former Cricket India Captain, saying that he should exercise cause while speaking about any other field. Pawar told media, “Many people have reacted sharply to the stand taken by them. I would advise Sachin to exercise caution while speaking about any other field”.

It is notable that when alien popstars and porn-stars support the farmer protests, the opposition parties welcome them, but when an Indian legend issues a different point of view, a leader like Sharad Pawar says cricketers should not comment on non-cricketing issues.

Earlier, Congress workers in Kerala had protested against Tendulkar for his views, and his cut-out was smeared with black oil by them.  The Congress and left attack on the legend started after he had tweeted that external forces can be spectators but not participants.

Pawar also said that if senior leaders of the govt like PM, Defence Minister & Nitin Gadkari come forward and speak with the agitating farmers, a solution can be found. He conveniently forgot that senior ministers like Narendra Singh Tomar and Piyush Goyal are already talking with the farmer unio leaders, but the protesters have made it clear they are not ready for any negotiation. They are adamant that the farm laws should be scrapped, has refused the union govt’s proposal to postpone the implementation of the laws for 12-18 months, and have refused to participate in a committee appointed by the Supreme Court of India.

Uttar Pradesh: Shadab, Sariq, Shahbaz, Shehzad arrested after shooting dead Rachit Jat in full public view, NSA slapped on them

The Bijnor police have arrested four Muslim youths after they brutally gunned down one youth named Rachit Jat, son of Bablu Jat, in Bijnor’s Jhalu town in Western Uttar Pradesh in broad daylight in full public view. While the four accused namely Shadab, Sariq, Shahbaz, Shehzad, all residents of Mohalla Pirzadgan in Jhalu town were arrested along with their murder weapons, one of them named Iqbal managed to flee.

Speaking to the media, police said that they have expedited the investigation in the case and are in the lookout for the fifth accused. Police further said that soon a charge sheet will be filed and the stringent National Security Act will be invoked in the case, after which the accused would be tried in a fast track court. The police assured that all possible steps are being taken to make sure that the culprits are brought to book.

According to the police, the accused fired at least 13 rounds with country pistols killing Rachit Jat on the spot. The police have said that the preliminary investigation suggests that the incident was a fallout of an old enmity. In the video given below, the attackers can be seen giving the count of bullets fired by them at Rachit.

The four Muslim youths arrested confess of firing 13 rounds killing Rachit Jat in a cold blooded murder

How five Muslim youths killed the Jat youth in full public view on the streets of Jhalu, Uttar Pradesh

In what transpired, Rachit Jat, a resident of Seohara Girdhar, a small hamlet in Jhalu block in Bijnor District of Uttar Pradesh, went shopping in Jhalu on Friday. He was standing near an umbrella shop when the five Muslim youths accosted him and started indiscriminately firing at him. Rachit ran for his life. He hurriedly went into a shop which stood 50 metres away from the umbrella shop. The accused followed him and gunned him down. Rachit died on the spot.

Shockingly, reports suggest that the accused not only shot at Rachit in full public view, after murdering the youth, they allegedly sat at a local cigarette shop, joked and smoked cigarettes while Rachit lay in a pool of blood in a nearby shop where he ran to take shelter before being brutally gunned down. In fact, after killing Rachit, the Muslim youths reportedly threatened the locals gathered at the market place not to testify before the police.

They warned the people of the Jat community that if they wanted to live in the area they would have to bow down to the Muslims living there, and fired in the air.

In fact, in a video which has been widely shared on the microblogging site Twitter, one the accused, while being taken away on a bike by the police, shouts out to someone: ‘Make sure our video comes on YouTube’.

Netizens slam Rakesh Taikat, who has been talking about Jat-Muslim unity, for not condemning the brutal attack on a Jat by Muslim youths

Here, it becomes imperative to mention that the area where this cold-blooded murder of a Jat youth at the hands of five Muslim men took place in the same region in Uttar Pradesh from where self-declared farmer leader Rakesh Tikait has been trying to draw support for his protest against the agricultural reforms by evoking a narrative of Jat and Muslim brotherhood.

After the incident, netizens have now been questioning Rakesh Tikait and the members of the union, which have for all this while been hailing the Jat-Muslim unity, as to how then Muslim youths in the area could effectuate such a barbaric act on a Jay boy. They have also slamed Taikat for not speaking a word of condemnation against the youths who brutally killed the Jat youth.

Jat community in Jhalu, Uttar Pradesh demand strict action against the accused

After Bijnor police received information about the incident, SP Dr Dharmveer Singh, CO City Kuldeep Gupta and Inspector-in-Charge reached the spot along with the police force. The police rounded up 4 accused, while the fifth escaped.

The whole town and market area is in terror after this brazen murder. Members of the Jat community, who were infuriated at the cold blooded murder of a member of their community, along with other locals, gathered outside the police station in Bijnor demanding stringent action against Rachit’s murderers.

Founder of pro Khalistan outfit Khalsa Aid spreads fake news about OpIndia after Greta fiasco exposed Khalistani agenda

Ravi Singh, the founder of Khalsa Aid International, suspected of being a front organisation for the Khalistani outfit Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), has spread fake news about OpIndia after Greta Thunberg inadvertently revealed the Khalistani hands behind the global campaign against India.

Ravi Singh shared a fake image that is purported to show an OpIndia report on Greta Thunberg. He said on the post on Instagram, “A new level of depravity by the right wing indian GUTTER press !!! ⁣This is the same GUTTER press attacking me & Khalsa Aid with lies ! ⁣Welcome to the new & fascist face of India !”

In the fake image, OpIndia is shown saying that the real name of Greta Thunberg is Ghazala Bhat who happens to be the daughter of Hilal Bhat, a Kashmiri businessman. The fake image also claims that the mother of the climate activist is one Anna Bjorklund who converted to Islam to become Aafia.

The claims made in the image are so outrageous that it is self-evident that it is fake. However, Ravi Singh fell for the fake image or was deliberately trying to mislead his followers. The image is clearly an attempt to hurt OpIndia’s reputation following the series of reports we have published highlighting the sinister agenda behind the global campaign.

Ravi Singh Instagram bio
Ravi Singh’s Instagram bio

The same fake image was shared by AAP sympathiser Caralisa Monteiro as well who since then appears to have deleted the tweet.

It is pretty evident now that Khalistanis are attempting to wash their hands off the ‘farmer protests’ after the toolkit was shared by Greta Thunberg. They are desperate to deflect attention from the heat they are currently receiving. And therefore, they are resorting to using such gross fake images targeting OpIndia.

It is made more evident by the statement made today by the Poetic Justice Foundation. The statement said, “Poetic Justice Foundation did not coordinate Rihanna, Grete Thunberg or any number of specific celebrities to tweet about the #FarmeraProteat. We didn’t pay anyone to tweet — and certainly didn’t pay anyone $2.5m to do so. However, we did generally encourage the entire world to share this issue. Through the international collective of organizers we encouraged the world to pay attention and amplify this message.”

Such denials appear hollow and therefore, a targeted campaign has also been launched to tarnish the reputation of OpIndia with fake claims.

The NIA had registered a case in December 2012, alleging that Khalsa Aid was one of the organisations linked to the BKI, funding the Indian BKI members to commit terror acts in the country. Ravi Singh himself has been accused of being a cheat and running a crooked organization.

He has also glorified Khalistani terrorist Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale as a “son of Punjab” and “champion of oppressed” who witnessed the “economic rape of Panjab by the Indian regime”. He had also come out in support of Pakistan after the Islamist attack on Nanakana Sahib.

Susan Sarandon, addicted to powerful psychedelic drugs, comments on farmer protests in India

The ongoing anti-farm law agitation in India has been witnessing the support of international celebrities from singer Rihanna to former pornstar Mia Khalifa. Hollywood actress Susan Sarandon is the latest celebrity to interfere in India’s internal matter.

In a tweet posted on Friday, the actress wrote, “Standing in solidarity with the Farmers Protest in India. Read about who they are and why they are protesting below.” Susan Sarandon had shared the link of a New York Times article, peddling anti-India propaganda to the global community. The Hollywood actress featured in several movies such as ‘Atlantic City’ (1980), ‘Thelma & Louise’ (1991), ‘Lorenzo’s Oil’ (1992), ‘The Client ‘(1994), and ‘Dead Man Walking’ (1995).

Screengrab of her tweet

Susan Sarandon had earlier revealed her obsession with psychedelic drugs. In a startling interview in 2014, the then 67-year-old actress said that she was hooked to ‘magic mushrooms’ and Ayahuasca, a psychedelic tea. Magic Mushrooms contain a hallucinogenic compound named psilocybin, which is classified as Scheduled I drug and is not legally permitted to be used for medical treatment in the US. She has a penchant for marijuana too and advocates its use over alcohol.

Greta Thunberg Files and anti-India propaganda

On February 2, Greta Thunberg inadvertently revealed the sinister global campaign against India after she shared a ‘Toolkit’ for those who want to support the ongoing ‘farmer protests’ in the country. On first glance, what the documents revealed was that the farmers’ protest and the support it seemed to get from various quarters was in no way organic, as many wanted Indians to believe. As we reported, the documents tweeted by Greta Thunberg revealed that the plan was afoot since November 2020, at the very least.

In one of the linked documents, titled ‘Solidarity with Indian farmers – Twitter storm’ contains meticulous planning about the tweets to be posted to ‘garner international attention’ to the ‘farmer protest’. We already reported how that document proved that Greta Thunberg and Rihanna did not tweet support for the farmers spontaneously, but the tweet was planned well in advance.

Did the Donald Trump meme come first or PM Modi’s? How Congress spread lies about Smriti Irani’s post

A global campaign is underway against India and sinister forces are attempting to use the ‘farmer protests’ to incite unrest and chaos across the country. On the face of it, the protests are supposedly against Prime Minister Modi and his government but the Khalistani underbelly of the protests has become impossible to deny in recent times.

Under such circumstances, an old meme of Prime Minister Modi is circulating again where the text says, “They’re after you, I am just in the way.” The meme has been shared by the former Dutch ambassador to India as well as others such as Union Minister Smriti Irani.

The Congress party, however, accused Smriti Irani of stealing the meme from former US President Donald Trump. Of course, the young generation is well aware that memes are meant to be stolen and it is not something that is to be held against anyone.

Tweet by UP Congress

Nevertheless, the Congress party did decide to engage in such petty behaviour. And as it turns out, they were wrong when they said that and Smriti Irani, in fact, did not steal the meme from Donald Trump. In fact, the original meme featured Narendra Modi much before Trump shared it himself.

Journalist Aditya Raj Kaul made the observation that the then US President had copied the meme from the Modi campaign when Donald Trump shared it first on the 18th of December 2019.

Donald Trump Prime Minister Modi meme
Aditya Raj Kaul tweet

We have Suresh Nakhua, spokesperson of BJP Mumbai, who shared the meme on the 17th of December 2019. There, a user commented that the meme was very old, probably a year old.

Donald Trump Prime Minister Modi meme
Suresh Nakhua shared the meme before Donald Trump

We had one user share the meme featuring Prime Minister Modi in March 2019, months before Donald Trump shared it.

The Modi meme from March 2019

Under such circumstances, it can be said for certain that the meme featuring Prime Minister Modi was in circulation much Donald Trump shared it in December 2019. The Congress party, in its zeal to undermine the NDA Government at the center, is deliberately spreading information.
